AWA KING OF THE KAGE, July 3rd, 2005, Chicago, IL, United Center
(The AWA logo flashes across the screen and then we cut back to May 13th, 2005, Little Rock, Arkansas, where Travis Gray made his return to the American Wrestling Alliance. The lights go out and a single spotlight shines onto the ramp. Suddenly, "Hail To The Chief" begins to play and an all too well-known man in a dark blue suit steps out from the back to a huge mixture of boos and cheers.)
FJ: "OH MY GOD! IT'S TRAVIS GRAY!"
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, the founder, former owner and president of this company is back in an AWA arena after more than a year and a half!"
(Travis Gray walks down the ramp with a confident smile on his face. He nods to a few fans at ringside, before stepping into the ring and grabbing a microphone. After the shocked reaction starts to calm down, Gray begins to speak.)
GRAY: "At Classic 2003, I lost a match to Mortis Valley that took away my ownership of the company that I had founded back in 1999. I only appeared in an AWA arena one time since then. In the meantime, I was able to pursue a number of different business ventures, all of which have been quite successful. But none as successful as the AWA."
"The AWA has done well without me, no doubt about it. But ever since I left, there has been no one person truly in charge. Look at all the people that had some sort of say since then. Mortis Valley? Gone, and I have no idea where he is. George Slater? He had a good start, but then got corrupt like everybody else. Dave Santini? Please! He has always been a Travis Gray-wannabe whenever he went into an official position. The fact is, there is no captain sailing this ship, yet the AWA is a huge ship that needs to be captained!"
"Ladies and gentlemen, the AWA board of directors has called me last week with the news that Lethal Louise has been released from all official positions, and the same goes for Mr. Ted Goldstein. I would like to inform you that I, Travis Gray, am returning to this company as the AWA President!"
HS: "What!?"
(Again a mixture of cheers and jeers, as people remember the many evil things Gray has done during his career.)
GRAY: "Now, people may remember The Family and the stuff I have done alongside them to so many people. I won't apologize for that, because it's history, my deeds are facts. But I can promise you this - you will not see the President Gray of old again. Don't get me wrong, I don't own this company, my job security depends on my performance, but if I get fired next week, I will still have made a splash."
"Now, get ready for the AWA to get a kick into its balls and be shaken up top to bottom!"
(The fans cheer.)
GRAY: "As of right now, as of Friday, May 13th, 2005, Bad Blood are no longer the AWA Tag Team Champions..."
HS: "Why?"
(The fans boo.)
GRAY: "Lady Ashe is no longer the AWA Cruiserweight Champion..."
FJ: "What is he doing?"
(The fans cheer.)
GRAY: "Nathan Hawthorne-Lee is no longer the AWA No Limit Champion..."
(Mixed reaction.)
GRAY: "John Williams is no longer the AWA United States Champion..."
(The fans cheer.)
GRAY: "And Low is no longer the AWA World Heavyweight Champion!"
(The fans cheer yet again.)
FJ: "What the hell is he doing?"
GRAY: "Ladies and gentlemen, things are going to change in the AWA! You will no longer have lame duck Champions competing and half-assing it in non-title matches just so their reigns can be saved until the next pre-advertised pay-per-view show. The Champions of the AWA will have to work week in, week out to stay Champions, not just once every month. Effort will be rewarded, a lack therof punished."
"Now, with one exception, you will have to work hard and focus for several weeks in order to become a Champion of the AWA again. This will have implications on the line-up of next week's Revelations pay-per-view, so everybody better adjust to the changes made. The plans for the titles are as follows. The AWA Tag Team title will be contested in a four-corners elimination match at Revelations. This division is less than deep, so a one-show-solution will do. This match will have a special referee not announced until the day of the show."
"The AWA Cruiserweight title will be decided in what will be called The Triple Threat Turmoil. Nine wrestlers will compete in in Triple Threat Matches against each other. The winners of these Triple Threat Matches will face off in a Triple Threat Ladder Match for the AWA Cruiserweight title, tentatively scheduled for AWA Sunday Night Shock on June 12th, 2005."
"The AWA No Limit title will be decided in the No Limit Round Robin Tournament, in which five wrestlers will face each other in a series of matches starting at Revelations and ending at Sunday Night Shock on June 26th. A win by pinfall or submission will get you 20 points, a win by countout or disqualification 15 points, and a draw will get each wrestler 10 points. The two highest point getters will wrestle for the AWA No Limit title at King Of The Kage in July 3rd, 2005."
"Then we will have a series called US Underground for the AWA United States title. Eight wrestlers will compete in singles matches against each other, starting at Revelations. The four winners will battle for the US title in a reversed Boiler Room Brawl, starting in the middle of the ring, with the winner being the man who leaves the arena's boiler room with the US title belt. This is tenatively scheduled for Sunday Night Shock on June 5th."
"Then finally, the AWA World Heavyweight title. The original plan for King Of The Kage was to give eight elite wrestlers a spot in the tournament and have the winner face the World Champion at AWA Classic. Not anymore! You will have to earn your place to get into King Of The Kage. Once eight wrestlers have qualified, starting at Revelations and going throughout the month of June, these eight wrestlers will be put against each other in brackets determined shortly before King Of The Kage in July 3rd. The winner of that tournament will be the new AWA World Heavyweight Champion!"
(The fans cheer these announcements.)
GRAY: "So to the people in the back, no more seasonal workers, you will have to earn your place in this company all over again. You may run the risk of having to wrestle twice in one week, but you will also get the chance to win more than one championship, so don't complain, bring your A game!"
"As for who all these wrestlers will be, make sure to check AWA Online within the next 24 hours to find out what opportunities you will get. There you will also find out about the revised line-up for AWA Revelations. Thank you and good night."
(Angelfish's "King Of The World" begins to play as various scenes from the eight World title tournament participants are seen. We also see the final seconds of each qualifying match - Nathaniel Henry Lee beating Brian Stevens at Revelations, Low pinning C-Rock, Andreas Lasiewicz beating Atlas Johansson, Whisper beating Cynder, The Hangman beating Poppa, Cynder beating Brian Williams in his second chance, C-Rock beating John Williams in his second chance, and finally, Schizm beating Jeff Christianson.
We then cut into the sold out United Center in Chicago, Illinois, where the fans cheer as the fireworks go off. After panning the crowd a few times, we go to our announcers, as the cell hovers above them.)
HS: "Six weeks the AWA was without a World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight, the vacancy that was created on friday the 13th will finally be filled, as eight men battle it out to see who truly deserves to be the AWA World Champion. My name is Herb Summers, alongside..."
FJ: "Frank Jackson! You know, Herb, I'm really excited about tonight! No matter who becomes the World Champion, I can only win. Whoever ends up the Champion will entertain me. I mean, can't you just see Andreas Lasiewicz as the Polish World Champion? And while Low has made some questionable decisions lately regarding NHL, just imagine what it will do to his ego winning number eight! Or the destruction at the hands of The Hangman should he win it for the fourth time. NHL, Schizm, Whisper, Cynder, they would all do great things and be World Champions I could endorse, too!"
HS: "Yes, it is indeed heaven for a guy like you."
(The house lights dim as white lights strobe as the beginning of "Am I Evil?" by Diamond Head blares throughout the arena. After a few second, red begins to strobe as NHL walks out from the back curtain. As he comes out through the curtain, he spits out water from his mouth and he stands under the red strobe, leaving a hideously evil look about his face. A few seconds later, he starts towards the ring, with Sarah Hawthorne slowly following behind her now deranged husband, Henry. As NHL slowly makes his way to the ring, he ignores the jeers and boos from the crowd as he walks gets near to the ring. He ascends the ring steps and heads into the ring through the top and middle ropes. Sarah steps in through the bottom and middle ropes as she looks on as her husband stands on the bottom rope, pointing to the crowd and cursing the people at ringside.)
HS: "Here's Nathanial Henry Lee, our first King of the Kage competitor to enter the ring. I'm expecting one hell of a match."
FJ: "I would love to see anyone in this tournament win, except C-Rock, of course."
HS: "Well, no one else in the matches thinks he has a chance."
FJ: "Neither do I. Schizm is going to dispatch of him quickly."
HS: "We're now awaiting the arrival of the man who's done this all before, Low. I'm not particularly fond of him, but I can't deny his accomplishments."
("Drink New Blood" begins to play and strobe lights in all colors flash all over the arena in accordance with the wild song. Low steps out from the back and makes his way down the ramp.)
HS: "And here comes the man."
(Low wastes no time climbing into the ring and sizing up NHL. NHL stares back, silently, but still with an arrogant mask of confidence. The referee begins explaining to the men the rules. NHL, while the referee is talking, reaches across and gives a hard shove to Low. The referee turns and yells at NHL, telling him to listen. Low right himself and steps in and gives NHL a harder shove, that sends the former No Limit Champion to the ground. NHL sits on the mat across from Low, slightly stunned as Low retakes his place in the center of the ring while the referee now takes time to reprimand Low. Low ignores the referee, not moving his eyes from NHL.)
FJ: "This is gonna be a war, Herb."
(NHL gets up and motions dusting himself off. NHL charges forward with a lariat. Low shoves the referee out of the way and catches NHL's arm, spinning him around and locking in a chicken-wing crossface. The referee finally calls for the opening bell. Low tries to lock in his finisher, the Low Standard . NHL runs, still locked in the hold, trying desperately to avoid the move. He makes it to the ropes, and locks his arms around them. The referee begins giving Low his five count. Low releases the hold and runs to the opposite side of the ring. He rebounds off the ropes and sends NHL spiraling over the top with a clothesline. NHL goes head first over the ropes and apron, and crashes to the floor. The ringside fans mock NHL. Low stands in the ring as the referee starts his 10 count.)
HS: "Low is showing early dominance here."
(NHL recovers on the outside by the count of four. Sarah tries to help him, but NHL waves him off. NHL climbs to the apron. Low has bounced again off the ropes and baseball slides, kicking NHL's feet from under him. NHL falls, slamming his chin hard on the apron. Low rolls out of the ring and grabs NHL by the back of his head. He slams NHL's face into the apron. The referee yells at the men to return to the ring. Low slams NHL's face again, and again, and again into the ring apron. We can see blood on NHL's face.)
FJ: "Low may have broken his nose!"
HS: "NHL has shown no offense so far!"
(Low hooks NHL around the waist. Sarah screams at Low, but Low ignores her, sending NHL over with a German suplex on the floor. Low rolls to his feet and back into the ring, stopping the referee's count. Low grabs the slowly recovering NHL and whips him hard into the steel ring steps with a loud *clang*. NHL slumps on the disjointed steps. NHL begins climbing over the steps. Low walks around and climbs on the apron. Jumping from the apron, Low lands a huge leg drop across the back of NHL.)
HS: "Low is showing no mercy."
FJ: "He wants to be the first repeat King of the Kage, Herb."
(Low rolls back into the ring to break up the count again. He moves back outside. The referee follows. As the referee's back is turned. NHL lands a uppercut style low blow to the former World Champion!)
FJ: "The referee isn't paying attention!"
HS: "That's new."
(NHL hooks Low's head. The crowd calls for the Slapshot. Low charges forward and slams NHL into the crowd barrier. NHL arches his back in pain. Low stumbles and rolls into the ring, still reeling from the low blow from NHL.. NHL recovers and climbs into the ring. Low immediately moves in on NHL and hits quick super kick sending NHL back through the ropes to the floor.)
HS: "Low won't even let NHL get into the ring."
FJ: "I think he's looking to prove a point. That NHL doesn't even belong in this tournament."
HS: "Do you believe him, Frank?"
FJ: "Well, no! This is a match more suited for the finals! Maybe if NHL had to fight C-Rock first... or got a bye."
HS: "Or two byes."
(NHL regroups on the outside, pushing off Sarah who is trying to help. Finally, NHL charges and slides into the ring. Low immediately begins stomping into NHL's back, not allowing NHL to stand. Low begins dropping his knee across the lower back several times. Low helps NHL sit up. Low bounces off the rope and plants a stiff kick into the lower back of NHL. He rolls around the ring in pain. While NHL is on his stomach Low quickly and professionally executes an STF.)
HS: "A very quickly maneuvered STF by Low!"
FJ: "He looked really professional there!"
(NHL yells 'NO' to the referee, who inquired about submission. Low locks in the moves tighter. NHL bangs the mat once. The referee asks him again. NHL screams a vulgar objection and starting clawing and inching himself towards the ropes. Low wrenches the move. Finally NHL stops crawling. His face is beet red. Low's doesn't relent at all. The referee checks NHL. NHL doesn't respond. The referee lifts NHL's arm and lets it fall... but no! NHL pulls forward with new found determination, and finds the bottom rope! Low releases the hold and turns to his feet, giving no time for NHL to breathe, he begins stomping away at the lower back of NHL once more. NHL clings protectively to the bottom rope, and the referee is forced to warn Low.)
(NHL takes the moment to recover, climbing to his feet with the aide of the rope. He makes a rude gesture to Low, who sees it over the referee's shoulder. Low moves in and takes a drop toe hold from NHL, landing Low's neck across the middle rope. NHL turns Low over, leaning the back of his neck on the middle ropes. NHL steps with his left foot onto Low's throat and steps up, holding the ropes, to chock Low. The referee starts his count. At '3' NHL stomps his right foot down into the gut of Low and retains pressure on Low's throat. NHL releases at five and moves to the turnbuckle. NHL climbs to the second turnbuckle and drops a big knee across the throat of Low, causing the former champion to grasp his neck in pain. NHL wastes no time lifting low and whipping him across the ring. NHL catches Low and hits a huge spinebuster!)
HS: "Shades of Arn Anderson there, Frank!"
FJ: "Shut the hell up, J-Herb."
(NHL goes for a cover........ 1..........2 .........Low kicks out with authority!)
HS: "A two count there for NHL, he could very well turn this match around!"
(NHL gets up and lifts Low to his feet. NHL kicks Low low in the gut and lifts him over and stalls him in the air before finally dropping Low down with a vertical suplex. Low arches his back. NHL quickly climbs the top rope. NHL flies off with a huge elbow drop into the sternum of Low. NHL falls right into a cover after the strike. ......... 1.................2 .....................NHL can't believe Low got a shoulder up on that one. NHL slams the mat and lifts Low up, hooking his head.)
FJ: "Oh no! Not this!"
HS: "Slapshot!"
(NHL does indeed hit the Slapshot. Flashbulbs go off for the move all over the arena. NHL nods confidently and pins Low, counting in the air with one hand while he pins.)
(.............1 - NHL counts with one finger.)
(.............2 - NHL counts with two fingers!)
(..............3 - NHL flips off the crowd!)
HS: "Did he do it?"
FJ: "No! The referee is signaling no good. The deserving World Champion kicked out just in time!"
(NHL stands up while Low stirs and recovers. NHL puts his hands on his hips and shakes his head. He looks at Low, then to the turnbuckle. NHL smiles a sadistic smile. NHL grabs Low and whips him hard into the corner. Low stumbles out and NHL lifts him onto his shoulder. NHL flips Low forward hard, sending Low's spine into the turnbuckle. NHL lifts Low to a sitting position on the top. Low tries to shake out the cobwebs. NHL locks Low's head for another Slapshot.)
FJ: "Oh no! Not the Supershot!"
(The camera angle shows Low's foot anchoring him to the middle rope, and as NHL flies off for the impact Supershot, Low pushes him, sending him hard into the mat! Low stands up, and elicits more flashbulb from the crowd with a big, pay per view worthy Frogsplash! Low with the cover on NHL for ..................1 ......................2 .......................No! NHL puts a shoulder up! Low climbs to his feet, angry at his opponent, but waits in anticipation. NHL stands and Low kicks him in the gut. Low Stunner!)
HS: "Low Stunner!"
FJ: "Low Stunner!"
(Not a Low stunner!)
HS: "Not a Low Stunner!"
FJ: "Not a Low Stunner!"
(NHL pushes Low off and hooks up with him. After a knee to the gut, NHL whips Low into the ropes. NHL bends forward for a back body drop to Low. Low stops his momentum, turns, and nails a Low Stunner!)
HS: "Low Stunner!"
FJ: "This is ridiculous, Herb."
(Low drops for a cover on NHL. NHL puts his foot on the bottom rope. ................1 ...................2 .........................3)
FJ: "That's a 3 count, Herb!"
HS: "Wait! The referee saw NHL's foot on the bottom rope."
(Low gets up believing he's won the match. He raises a hand in the air. NHL stands up and shakes his head. He waits for Low. Low is standing facing the entrance and with eyes on the big screen, sees NHL behind him. Low smiles cockily and turns around with an unsuspecting look on his face. NHL kicks Low in the gut and hooks his head for a match ending Slapshot! Low spins with NHL's arm to a hammerlock. Low locks in a chickenwing crossface in the center of the ring. A stiff kick to NHL's back locks in the Low Standard! NHL tries to fight the neigh inescapable move to no avail. He reaches wildly for the ropes.)
HS: "The Low Standard is a devastating move!"
FJ: "NHL may have to tap here!"
(NHL calls out in pain, with a slightly British accent. Low holds to move in tight. NHL has nowhere to go. The referee asks NHL to quit, but NHL denies. Low pulls the move in a little tighter, still in the center of the ring. The referee asks NHL to give up King of the Kage and the World Championship in the form of 'Do you give up?' NHL agrees, waving his hand. The bell rings at the referee's direction.)
HS: "Low moves on to face Lasiewicz or Whisper!"
FJ: "One step closer to 8-Time World Championship status!"
(Low releases the hold and rolls to ringside. Sarah climbs inside to check on NHL while Low walks away looking forward to backstage and probably his next match. We cut to a commercial showing highlights from every previous AWA Classic pay-per-view, hyping AWA Classic 2005 on August 14th in Hamburg, Germany. Back in the United Center, white smokes fills the arena and "Piggy Bank" hits the PA. The smoke then starts to clear up and the crowd are on their feet, booing as Andrew Flash pops up and does a muscular pose. He walks down to the middle of the ramp and pumps his fist in the air three times as the pyro goes off three times. Then he makes his way into the ring. Through the bottom rope Flash slides in. Still on the ground he lays there for a few seconds and pops up. He then smiles and looks all around at the crowd as they boo. Andrew Flash then ask for a mic and someone by the announce table tosses it to him. Flash quicky puts the mic to his face.)
FLASH: "Oh please."
(The crowd boo's even louder)
FLASH: "Just look at yourself. You overweight bastards. You wish you could look as good as the 'Primetime Superstar'."
(A few crowd members try to jump the rail and slide into the ring. Flash sees this out of the corner of his eye.)
FLASH: "SECURITY!"
(Security guards are quick to grab the crowd members and begin to drag them to the exit of the arena. Flash smirks.)
FLASH: "You guys should be happy that the 'Primetime Superstar' took some time out to come out and speak what's on his mind."
(The crowd starts up an "Asshole" chant)
FLASH: "ANYWAYS... I'm really here to call out someone. Someone who plays sick tricks. Someone who is scared to show their face. Someone who came out in my first match to try and scare me. Well, I don't actually know who this someone is, but this is why I'm here. And I would like for that person to come out and give me their reasons on why they chose to make me lose my attention and cost me my first match in the AWA."
(Andrew pauses for a few seconds and waits for someone to come out)
FLASH: "I figured that you wouldn't come out to see face to face with the 'Simply Electrifying' Andrew Flash. That's ok, I'll deal with whoever you are later. Now about my match tonight.... as you all know deep inside I'll become the number one contender."
(Andrew holds the mic aloft as the fans boo wildly. He nods his head in approval, but his good mood is suddenly ended by "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica playing over the loudspeakers. Andrew looks towards the rampway and takes off his cap in frustration and waits for Lonewolf to make an appearance as the fans cheer. After a period of time someone does indeed walk through and down the ramp, but it isn't Lonewolf... it's a monkey!... and not just any monkey, it's MONKEY. The fans laugh but Andrew keeps his eyes set on MONKEY who waddles down to the ring, makes his way into the ring and looks at Andrew. Andrew sneers, but also looks surprised to see MONKEY here in the AWA. He slowly backs away and gets another mic from the ring announcer and tosses it to MONKEY who looks at it and tries to pick it up.)
FLASH: "I knew it, I knew you'd come out here, Lonewolf. You think you can intimidate me with your primitive intelligence and horrible odor... well you've got another thing coming, mister. You know what I think of you?"
(MONKEY scratches his head)
FLASH: "I think that you are a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER. You can't beat me, I'm a true Champ, BABY!"
(MONKEY sticks out his tongue at Andrew which gets a chuckle from the fans)
FLASH: "You dare mock me, you dare mock THE PRIMETIME SUPERSTAR!"
(MONKEY sits on the mic and farts causing a huge rumble around the arena via the speakers. Andrew frowns in disgust and backs off slightly as MONKEY smiles broadly)
FLASH: "You listen here, Lonewolf, if that is your real name. If you act like that when we face each other in the Battle of Royal tonight, then you'd better pray for forgiveness, because I will not stand by and let you make fun of me. Do you understand me Lonewolf... I'm the Primetime superstar, you're not even in my league of greatness, and you don't deserve to be in the ring with me. What do you have to say about tha..."
(Suddenly MONKEY rushes at Andrew and grabs his leg and starts to... you know... and well yeah this goes on for a bit before Andrew pushes him off.)
FLASH: "God damn it, I'm not having this, you'll pay for this Lonewolf, you'll pay! Tonight!"
(Andrew leaves the ring and walks off in a huff. He hands a young fan his cap and then snatches it back and makes his way up the ramp as MONKEY dances about wildly and thumps his chest.)
FJ: "I love MONKEY!"
HS: "Too much information, Frank, way too much information. Anyway, it's time for the second match of the King of the Kage tournament."
FJ: "NHL versus Low was something else, Herb, but I have a feeling that as this night goes on every match is going to out-do the last one."
HS: "Agreed, partner. And I think that this one is going to be very interesting. Andreas Lasiewicz, the United States Cham-"
FJ: "You mean ‘POLISH Champion,' right?"
HS: "I don't care if Lasiewicz calls it the Backyard Championship. It's still the United States title to me. Anyways, we have Andreas Lasiewicz taking on Whisper, the man who one week ago bought the Carnival for EUD Management."
FJ: "You mean ‘EUD Management, INCOPORATED,' right? Don't sell Whisper short."
HS: "The only way you can sell Whisper short is when you compare his height to that of Hellraisin' Steve Holly. And at seven foot eleven, Steve Holly could sell anyone short."
(The arena darkens slowly. An air siren begins to sound, with green spotlights shooting in all directions as an infamous slogan is revealed on the big screen.)
COME N' PLACE YA BETS!!
("Welcome to the Jungle" suddenly thunders from the P.A system. The Gambit steps out from behind the curtain, a traditional cigarette in his mouth as he stalks his way down to the ring, and he cracks a cheeky grin at the hideous reaction from the crowd. He circles the ring, rolls in and stands on the turnbuckle surveying the fans with a Cheshire Cat grin. He hops off and stops for a minute receiving the reaction of all the fans. He then walks slowly over to the top rope before perching himself on the top rope raising his right arm in the air as the crowd boos and screams.)
HS: "And tonight, folks, King of the Kage is brought to you by Red Bull. Red Bull gives you WIIIIIIIINGS."
FJ: "Don't ever say it like that again. King of the Kage is also brought to you by Skittles. Taste the Rainbow. Feel the Rainbow. Be one with the Rainbow."
HS: "And by EUD Management, Inc. Be Eternal. Be Undying. Be E.U.D."
FJ: "And by the newest summer blockbuster, ‘Rock the Casbah,' starring the AWA's own Paul ‘Phoenix' Garrison. In theaters next week."
(The entrance way begins filling with smoke. The screen lights up with static. The lights drop to blue and a drum beat starts with various other instruments. Finger Eleven's "The Last Scene of Struggling" is the song. As the lyrics starts, images start appearing on the screen, replacing the static... the words are quick... The images are of various destructions... pictures of war... nazi marches... 9/11 pictorials... people crying... burned... dying...)
The static grows...
And kills the message...
Unclear as the wind blows...
Thin whispers through all the wreckage...
You said you planned to fail...
Looking so safe but sorry...
So be sure to bang the nail...
And seal the exit out!
(There is a scream in the background of the song echoing "out". The images on the screen are cycling faster and faster.)
Feel the way...
(Another scream, this one with a blast of wind from backstage, blowing the smoke outward. On that same gust of wind comes Whisper. The image on the screen is the classic image of the atomic bomb exploding. It flashes the word "Whisper".)
Through your Revelation...
(Whisper walks out of the smoke with a purposed-filled stride. Halfway down the ramp, he drops the trenchcoat off his back. He reaches the apron and climbs to the outside of the ropes. He pauses to look around at the arena, then climbs in. Behind Whisper on the ramp, Justin picks up the trench and follows to ringside.)
HS: "And here's the man who has basically given himself a fifty percent chance of being able to have some claim on the World Title."
FJ: "But if you ask me, I think that he wants that title for himself. Even if Andreas, Cynder, or Schizm end up winning the title, I think that he'll still be disappointed by the outcome."
HS: "No argument there."
(Whisper and Andreas meet up in the center of the ring. They stare each other down, Whisper, with an expression of cold concentration; Andreas, with an expression of haughty distaste.)
HS: "These men have been going after each other verbally all week. Maybe they might be on the same side, but not tonight."
FJ: "I don't know if these two have ever been on the same page. Tonight certainly isn't going to help things."
(The bell rings, but neither man bats so much of an eyelash. They continue to stare each other down. The crowd begins chanting. Some chant "Whisper," some chant "Whisper sucks." Some chant "Las-ie-wicz," some chant "Laz-ee-bitch." But neither Whisper nor Lasiewicz pay any attention to anyone but the other man. Lasiewicz is the first man to strike, slapping Whisper across the face disrespectfully. Whisper turns his head back to stare at Lasiewicz, working his jaw around. He stares back at Lasiewicz as if to say "go ahead; do that again." Lasiewicz seems to understand this and obliges Whisper with another slap to the face. Whisper takes it and fires back with a right to the face. And another! And another! He backs Lasiewicz into the ropes and whips him across the ring. As Lasiewicz is coming back, Whisper meets him in the air with a high knee. Whisper goes on the attack, but Lasiewicz grabs his arm and flips him over with an armdrag. Whisper is to his feet quickly but
is met with a staggering haymaker from Lasiewicz. Whisper falls into the corner and Lasiewicz follows him with punch after punch raining down on the blue haired Cruiserweight. Lasiewicz whips Whisper with authority into the opposite corner and goes to follow up with a clothesline. Whisper gets both his feet up and knocks Lasiewicz in the face. Showing great balance and upper body strength, Whisper pumps his arms down on the ropes on either side of the turnbuckle, vaulting himself to the top rope. As Lasiewicz turns around, Whisper leaps off the top rope and catches the Polish Champ with a flipping neckbreaker.)
FJ: "What agility from Whisper!"
HS: "Whisper takes to the air like a fish takes to water."
FJ: "Hey! Don't you utter his name in my presence."
HS: "Who? Whisper?"
FJ: "No. That finned freak."
HS: "Oh, Fish!"
FJ: "Grrrrrrrrrr."
(As Lasiewicz is getting up, Whisper snapmares him to the mat and wrenches in a side headlock. Lasiewicz struggles in the hold for a moment before working himself back up to a vertical base. He drives his fist into Whisper's kidney area once, twice, three time! Whisper grimaces in pain and loses his grip on Lasiewicz's head. Andreas grabs Whisper's head and attempts to bulldog him into the mat. But Whisper grabs the arm around his head and quickly twists it into a hammerlock, pulling up on the arm while Lasiewicz is trying to drop down. Andreas screams in pain as Whisper continues to wrench up with the hammerlock and slams down with closed fists in between Lasiewicz's neck and shoulder blade area. Whisper puts his free hand underneath the Polish Champ's armpit and lifts him up with the hammerlock still intact before sending him crashing sternum first into the mat.)
HS: "Silencer from Whisper!"
FJ: "Is it going to be over this quickly?"
(Whisper rolls over with Lasiewicz, sitting on his chest while hooking both legs …1 …2 … Lasiewicz uses his legs to flip Whisper over pinning both of Whisper's arms under his legs and hooks both of Whisper's legs …1 …2 … Whisper rolls over and reverses their positions …1 …2 … Lasiewicz uses his leg-strength to catapult Whisper off of him and send him face first into the middle turnbuckle. Whisper stumbles backwards into a rear waistlock from Andreas. German suplex! Whisper lands hard on the back of his head. Lasiewicz lays the boots to him. Whisper rolls out of the ring, trying to regain his breath. Andreas pursues. He clubs Whisper from behind and hits a swinging neckbreaker onto the floor. Andreas picks Whisper up by his hair and lifts him into the air for a vertical suplex. He holds him there for a few moments, giving a quick witted security guard time to move a couple people from their first row seats just before Lasiewicz completes the suplex onto the barricade.
Whisper falls from the barricade, his face a mask of pain, and tumbles into the recently vacated seats.)
HS: "What a move by Lasiewicz! He nearly snapped Whisper in half!"
FJ: "Ouch. Just … ouch …"
HS: "Well put, Frank. Well put."
FJ: "… ouch …"
(Lasiewicz rolls into the ring then out of the ring to break up a rising ten-count, then stalks back over to where Whisper is trying to claw his way back to his feet. Lasiewicz grabs him by his head and lifts him up with another vertical suplex. Whisper, this time, is able to squirm out of it and land behind Andreas. He locks in a half nelson and leap back over the barricade, slamming Lasiewicz face first into the barricade. Andreas stumbles backwards into the corner ring post, holding his nose. Whisper hops onto the barricade and leaps off, aiming a spinning wheel kick that will nicely splatter Lasiewicz's head all over the ring post. Lasiewicz throws himself out of the way at the last minute and Whisper's leg connects at the knee joint with the steel post. Whisper collapses in a heap of pain holding his leg as Lasiewicz nurses his bloody nose.)
HS: "Oh my god! Whisper could have just torn every ligament in his knee!"
FJ: "That's like putting a loaded gun in the hands of Wyatt Earp. The Four Card Trick focuses on the knee!"
HS: "These two are so evenly matched that Whisper's miscue could be all the edge that Lasiewicz needs."
(Andreas gets to his feet and rolls Whisper back into the ring. He rolls in just long enough to break the ten count and rolls back out, holding Whisper's injured leg. Lasiewicz rams Whisper's leg into the ring post! He tries to do it again, but Whisper uses his uninjured leg to lick Lasiewicz in the face. Lasiewicz holds his injured nose as Whisper uses his arms to pull him to the opposite corner. Andreas slides back into the ring and heads straight for Whisper, who is still sitting in the corner, holding his injured knee. Just as Andreas gets in reach of Whisper, the cruiserweight drop toe holds him onto the middle turnbuckle and then rolls him up with a fistful of tights!)
(…1 …2 … Lasiewicz kicks out! Andreas complains to the referee that Whisper was trying to cheat. He doesn't seem to like the referee's answer and pushes him away. Whisper takes the opportunity to hit a low blow on Lasiewicz that the referee misses. Whisper turns Andreas around, hooks his leg and hits a fisherman DDT. He pins Andreas …1 …2 … kickout! Whisper slaps the mat, a little frustrated, but keeps up the pressure by stomping on Lasiewicz and dropping his good knee across his throat. Lasiewicz rolls away, holding his throat and the referee admonishes Whisper about such tactics. To show how much he cares about what the referee thinks, Whisper steps on Lasiewicz's throat, choking him on the mat. The referee starts a five count and Whisper lets up at the last second. The referee scolds Whisper some more as he callously steps on the Polish Champ's throat again. The referee nearly pulls Whisper off of Lasiewicz and warns him that he'll disqualify Whisper if he keeps this
up. Whisper narrows his eyes, but doesn't push his luck. Meanwhile, Lasiewicz is getting up slowly, relying on the corner ropes. Whisper drives his shoulder into Andreas' back and then lifts him up onto the top turnbuckle, facing the crowd. He then climbs up behind him and hooks his legs around the ropes. Top rope German suplex! Lasiewicz hits the mat at a bad angle and rolls over on his back. Whisper does a sit up and is back on the top rope, his legs still hooked around the ropes. He grabs his knee for a moment, and then looks back to see Lasiewicz is laid out in the perfect position for some more high risk. Moonsault from Whisper! He hooks the far leg …1 …2 … kickout by Andreas! Whisper rolls off of Andreas, holding his leg. Whisper picks Lasiewicz back up and goes to whip him into the ropes. Lasiewicz reverses and Whisper rebounds off the ropes. Lasiewicz goes for a clothesline, but Whisper ducks it and bounces off the opposite ropes. Lasiewicz swings back with
both hands clasped together for a devastating Polish Hammer, turning Whisper inside-out!)
HS: "What an impact!"
FJ: "That's enough to lower his IQ!"
(Lasiewicz wipes the blood from under his nose and stands over Whisper. He kicks Whisper soccer style in the back, who rolls onto his stomach. Lasiewicz picks him up by his hair and delivers a straight right shot that staggers the smaller man. Andreas fires another right into Whisper's head and then delivers a snap suplex. Whisper arches his back in pain. Lasiewicz picks Whisper up and nails a backbreaker. He goes for the pin …1 …2 … Whisper kicks out! Whisper rolls onto his stomach and gets back to his feet, but Andreas traps him in a rear waistlock. He goes for a German suplex, but Whisper blocks it and reverses the rear waistlock into one of his own. Whisper tries for a German suplex, but Andreas blocks it and retraps Whisper in the rear waistlock. Both men are right beside the ropes. Andreas clubs Whisper a few times on the back of his neck and this time is able to flip Whisper over with the German suplex. Whisper sails over the top rope and crashes down to the mats
below. Slowly, painfully, Whisper makes it back to his feet as the referee's count reaches 4. But as soon as he turns around to get back into the ring, Lasiewicz is already in the air after taking a running dive through the top and middle ropes. Lasiewicz crashes into Whisper like a missile and both men are down again. The referee restarts his count and gets to 4 again by the time Andreas is back to his feet. Lasiewicz picks up Whisper and whips him into the steel steps, which Whisper hits knees first and flips over. Lasiewicz stalk over to where Whisper is laying and gives him a few kicks for good measure before rolling him back into the ring at a count of 7 from the referee. Lasiewicz picks Whisper up and puts him back down with a front face DDT. He rolls Whisper over for the cover …1 …2 … kickout! Lasiewicz argues for a moment with the referee, but doesn't dally too long, knowing how Whisper took advantage of him the last time. Rather, he locks Whisper into a Texas
cloverleaf, focusing on his injured knee and back.)
HS: "Lasiewicz is going for the submission!"
FJ: "I don't know how Whisper's going to get out of this one. Or even if he should. After all, Lasiewicz is going to keep on locking in those submissions until Whisper finally taps out. Better to tap out now before he suffers permanent damage."
HS: "I think that Whisper's too proud to do that. He's not going to tap out until absolutely has to."
FJ: "I know that. I also know that Andreas isn't going to let go of that hold until he finally makes Whisper tap out."
(Both Herb and Frank are right. Andreas cranks back on the hold, but even though Whisper is in a tremendous amount of pain he refuses to tap out. With a strength born of determination or desperation, Whisper crawls his way, inch by painful inch to the ropes and finally gets his hand on the bottom rope. The referee calls for a break, but Lasiewicz holds on for the full five count. Once Lasiewicz lets go, he goes to pick Whisper up. But with a burst of energy, Whisper picks Lasiewicz up and hot shots him throat first onto the top rope. As Andreas stumbles backwards, Whisper takes him down with a climb up enziguri! Both men collapse to the mat. The referee checks on both men and then starts counting …1 …2 … both men stir …3 …4 … Andreas is getting to his knees …5 … Whisper is starting to get up as well …6 …7 … Lasiewicz is on his feet! Whisper is up soon afterward, although not on his own power; Lasiewicz straightens the blue haired Cruiserweight with a stiff European uppercut.
A few punches backs Whisper into the ropes and Lasiewicz whips him to the opposite side. Whisper bounces off the ropes and hits a low shoulder tackle into Lasiewicz's right knee!)
HS: "Ouch. Yet another body part that is being bent in directions it was never meant to."
FJ: "I wouldn't be surprised if both these men are double jointed after the end of this match."
(Lasiewicz gets back to his feet gingerly. Whisper kicks him in the gut and hooks his arms.)
FJ: "Looks like Lasiewicz is about to get caught Eavesdropping!"
HS: "It seems that way-yyyt a minute!"
(Lasiewicz gets his arms free and sends Whisper to the mat with a double leg takedown.)
FJ: "I guess it was just a trick … a Four Card Trick!"
HS: "If Lasiewicz locks in his rendition of the classic figure four leglock, it's over!"
(Andreas tries to lock in the figure four leglock, but as he turns around with Whisper's leg, the cruiserweight uses his free leg to push Lasiewicz face first into the turnbuckle. Lasiewicz stumbles back and is lifted over Whisper's shoulders.)
HS: "Feedback time!"
FJ: "Let me take my headphones off first. The last time that happened, it nearly struck me deaf."
(Whisper tosses Lasiewicz off his shoulders, but Lasiewicz lands on his feet, twists around, and lifts Whisper up for a torture rack.)
HS: "Great counter by Lasiewicz!"
(Lasiewicz bends Whisper's back trying to snap the cruiserweight in half. Whisper grits his teeth and shakes his head as the referee asks him if he gives up. Whisper instead slams his fist into Andreas' nose. Lasiewicz retaliates by wrenching down on Whisper even more. Whisper continues to punch Lasiewicz in his nose, which begins bleeding again. Finally, Andreas' grip weakens enough for Whisper to defy gravity as he swings out of the torture rack and wraps his legs around the Polish Champ's head, flipping him into a pinning situation with a hurricanrana! The referee counts …1 …2 … Lasiewicz kicks out! Whisper uses the ropes to get back to his feet. Lasiewicz is up quickly afterward. He goes to keep pressure on Whisper, but Whisper grabs his legs, lifts him into the air for a high impact spinebuster.)
HS: "Killjoy!"
FJ: "I'll say it was for Andreas!"
(Whisper slowly climbs to the top rope, obviously still feeling the effects of Lasiewicz's offense against him. He gets to the top as the referee is check on Lasiewicz. Whisper, facing away from the ring, straightens up and then flinches as his knee picks the wrong time to act up. The hesitation is just enough for Lasiewicz to push the referee into the ropes. This knocks Whisper into a very uncomfortable position on the top rope. Andreas climbs up behind him onto the second rope. He hits a German suplex, going down to the mat with Whisper. Both men hit the mat with a thud, but Andreas pushes up with all strength and bridges the suplex. The referee counts …1 …2 … Whisper just rolls his shoulder up! Both men are slow to get up. Andreas is up first and punches Whisper, who is on one knee, in the head. Kick to the gut, backing Whisper into the ropes. Lasiewicz slaps Whisper in the face, berating him. He goes for another kick to the gut, but Whisper catches this one.
Lasiewicz goes for an enziguri, but Whisper ducks out of the way, still holding onto Lasiewicz's leg, with Lasiewicz now facing away from him. Whisper smiles just briefly before throwing himself through the middle and bottom ropes.)
HS: "That's … not … right …"
FJ: "That was a sick Hangman's Screw from Whisper. Let's see that again."
HS: "I'm not looking."
(The view splits and we see in slow motion as Whisper throws himself through the ropes to the outside and Lasiewicz's knee crashes down onto the edge of the apron, kneecap first. We also see Whisper land awkwardly on his bad knee.)
FJ: "I'm not sure which man took the worst of that move."
HS: "It was certainly a desperation maneuver from Whisper. It doesn't look like either man is getting up."
(The referee seems to be worrying about the same thing. He's checking on Andreas who is rolling around, holding his knee. He howls in pain as the referee touches his knee and pushes him away. The ref goes outside to check on Whisper who is in much the same position and gives the referee the same reception that Lasiewicz did. The referee shakes his head and gesture towards the back. EMTs start to make their way down the ramp, the crowd booing.)
FJ: "Awwww, c'mon. They can wrestle with one leg!"
HS: "I'm disappointed by this too, but it's obvious that neither man can continue. It looks like Low is going to get a bye in the second round. What kind of advantage is that going to give him after the war that sure to ensue between the remaining four men?"
FJ: "An insurmountable one, if you ask me."
HS: "I did ask you."
FJ: "And it's a good thing you did. I can't wait for Low to become the 8 time World Champion."
(By this time, the EMTs are tending to Lasiewicz and Whisper, trying to get them up. Neither man seems to want to be helped. Lasiewicz pushes one of the EMTs away and nails him with a Peacemaker! Whisper kicks another EMT in the gut and delivers the Eavesdrop on the outside! The crowd goes up in cheers! Both men wince and grasp their respective wounded knees, but fend off the other EMTs while limping. Whisper rolls into the ring and stares across at Andreas.)
FJ: "Yes! The match goes on!"
HS: "I'm glad that it's not over yet, but I wonder how much damage these two are doing to their bodies by continuing."
FJ: "Bah! If you're worried about getting hurt then you're in the wrong business. And these men belong in wrestling."
(The two meet in the center of the ring and begin trading punches. Andreas seems to be getting the better of Whisper until the cruiserweight gouges his eye and plants him face first onto his knee. Lasiewicz tries to staunch the blood running from his nose as Whisper winces at the pain in his knee. But he recovers quickly enough to begin to execute a running headscissor takedown on Lasiewicz. He locks his legs around Lasiewicz's head and swings his own body over the top rope. He grabs the top rope and flips Lasiewicz over the ropes to the ground below in front of the announcers' table. As Andreas gets to his feet slowly, Whisper springboards off the top rope and connects with a shooting star body press!)
FJ: "What a move!"
HS: "Even though these two have beaten each other to a pulp, they're still putting everything they have left on the line to win this match. Unbelievable!"
(Both men get up gingerly. Whisper quickly grabs one of Lasiewicz's legs and dragon screws him into the steel ring post. Whisper keeps his grip on the other man's leg and pulls him back up. Andreas fires a haymaker into Whisper jaw, causing him to lose his grip on Lasiewicz's leg. Andreas grabs Whisper's leg and dragon screws him into the announcers table.)
FJ: "Whoa, guys! Watch out! We're trying to call a match here!"
(Andreas pays no mind to him as he smashes Whisper head first into the table. He quickly clears the table off.)
FJ: "Hey, you're spilling my soda!"
HS: "This does not bode well …"
(Lasiewicz connects with a falling reverse DDT, knocking Whisper senseless. He rolls the cruiseweight onto the table and climbs up the ring post to the top rope.)
FJ: "No … he's not going to … This is my table, dammit!"
HS: "Let it go, Frank! Get out of here!"
FJ: "But an announcer always goes down with his table!"
(Herb drags Frank away from the table just in time as Lasiewicz leaps off the top rope to drive a huge elbow drop into Whisper's heart! The table collapses, spilling both men limply to the floor. The referee shakes his head at the wreckage and begins to count. Andreas gets up and slowly begins to drag Whisper towards the ring. He rolls Whisper into the ring at 9 and just barely gets in under the wire. He rolls Whisper onto his back and pins him …1 …2 …3-no! Whisper just rolls his shoulder up! Lasiewicz can't believe it! He complains to the referee that it was three, but the referee stands by his decision. Meanwhile, Whisper is slowly pulling himself up, though his eyes are a trifle glass. Lasiewicz gives up on the referee and begins stalking Whisper.)
HS: "I don't know how Whisper kicked out after that elbow drop, but I don't think he's going to kick out of what Lasiewicz has planned next."
FJ: "My table …"
HS: "Forget about the stupid table!"
(Whisper gets up and turns around as Lasiewicz aims for his chin with the Peacemaker! Whisper ducks and hits a dropkick to Lasiewicz's injured knee! Andreas goes down to one knee. Whisper hooks both of Lasiewicz's arms and hits the Eavesdrop!)
FJ: "Eavesdrop! It has to be over now!"
HS: "Finally, this brutality will end! What a match!"
(Whisper rolls off of Lasiewicz, gripping his injured knee in pain. He crawls over to Lasiewicz and slowly turns him over, completely exhausted. He pins …1 …2 …3-no!)
HS: "Lasiewicz grabbed the bottom rope!"
FJ: "What? How did he do that?"
(Whisper is completely in shock. He shakes his head and seems to wonder just what he has to do to put this one away. Slowly, Whisper drags Lasiewicz into the middle of the ring and attempts to lock him in Kein Entweichen. But as he goes to lock in the standing leg lock, Lasiewicz pushes Whisper off of him. Whisper's bad knee gives out on him and he falls face first into the middle turnbuckle. As he caroms backwards, Lasiewicz is on his feet and nails the Peacemaker! Both men fall to the mat, Lasiewicz, the last of his energy seemingly exhausted.)
HS: "When are these men going to stop? They've gone way beyond their limits."
FJ: "I don't even know if death is going to stop these guys. Neither man wants to be eliminated in the first round."
(Lasiewicz crawls over to Whisper and flips him onto his back. He drapes an arm on him. The referee counts …1 …2 …3-no!)
HS: "I can't believe it! Whisper got his foot on the bottom rope!"
FJ: "See what I mean? That was probably a death spasm."
(Lasiewicz pulls the leg off the bottom rope and hooks it for the pin …1 …2 … Whisper just kicks out! Lasiewicz pins again …1 …2 … Whisper kicks out a third time! Lasiewicz is in a rage, yelling at the referee. With a strength born of anger, Lasiewicz pulls Whisper into the middle of the ring and begins to lock in the Four Card Trick. But with a desperate burst of strength, Whisper is able to trip up Lasiewicz with the tangle of their legs. Whisper uses the momentum of Andreas going down to stand up himself. He adjusts his legs for a moment and then falls forward with Kein Entweichen completely locked in! Lasiewicz screams in pain!)
HS: "Kein Entweichen! Whisper's got it locked in!"
FJ: "I can't believe it! Is this it?"
(Lasiewicz refuses to give up. He crawls desperately towards the ropes. He's almost there. He stretches out his arm and almost brushes the bottom rope. With a burst of strength, Whisper crawls away from the ropes, dragging Lasiewicz away from his escape. The referee checks on him, but Lasiewicz still refuses to give up. He screws up his face with determination and tries to power out of the Indian deathlock, but Whisper has it locked too tightly in. Finally, Lasiewicz has no choice but to tap out!)
HS: "Lasiewicz submits! Whisper wins!"
FJ: "What a match! I don't know how anyone's going to top this!"
HS: "I know how. Whisper meets Low in the second round. That is going to be brutal!"
FJ: "I hate to admit it, but I agree with you there."
HS: "Lasiewicz and Whisper fought so hard during this match. They left it all in the ring."
FJ: "Whisper had better find some of ‘it' before his match with Low or Low's going to take him apart."
HS: "You're right there. And how is this going to affect Andreas' relationship with Whisper, which was never that good to begin with. You gotta believe there's going to be some resentment there."
(Justin helps Whisper out of the ring as the remaining EMTs check on Lasiewicz. We then cut to the back, to Andrew Flash's dressing room to be exact. We see him stretching in preparation of the battle royal, when suddenly a smoke grenade sets off, filling the room with smoke! After a few moments the smoke clears and we can hear Flash coughing. As he looks at the wall across from him he gets bug-eyed. There, in crimson letters it says "Welcome to your nightmare!" As Flash looks on confused, we cut back to Herb and Frank.)
FJ: "What is this all about?"
HS: "I have no idea myself, Frank. Anyway, fans, we're almost ready to go, as some of the AWA's true heroes, namely the stagehands, have put up a brand new table for us in no time at all."

The Hangman vs. Cynder
#############################################################
OOC NOTE: I don't have the match yet and it sucks. So I decided to just post the finish so you have at least something sembling a match.
(With the ref momentarily distracted, The Hangman
turns towards Lori, motioning for her to hand him
something. She refuses and this causes him to make a
slashing gesture across his neck. Furiously, she
reaches into her pocket and throws whatever it is at his head.
Not even flinching, The Hangman snatched it out of
midair. Focusing in on it, we see that it is none
other than his harmonica!)
HS: "Where's the damn referee?"
FJ: "Is he supposed to DQ him for playing the harmonica?"
(Playing possum in the corner, The Hangman waits for
Cynder to draw near. As he does, he quickly grabs him
in a headlock and RAMS the harmonica into his throat!
As Cynder clutches at his throat and draws back, The
Hangman doesn't waste any time in chucking the
harmonica back out of the ring. He applies the Iron Claw, lifts Cynder up and hits the Southern
Comfort Slam. The referee returns just in time to see the cover. He counts 1..... 2..... 3! The Hangman advances.)
HS: "The Hangman uses a dirty trick to eliminate another member of The Carnival."
FJ: "He didn't get caught, so it was all fine and dandy."
(After a commercial for the new DVD "The AWA's Greatest Musical Talents" we cut to a graphic detailing the tournament's brackets.)
HS:"Ladies and gentlemen, three men will go on to the semi-finals: Low will take on Whisper, and The Hangman will take on the winner of this next match. It's time for C-Rock versus Schizm."
FJ: "What a match this will be."
HS: "Both of these men defeated Jeff Christianson to get to this point... as well as C-Rock also beat John Williams.
(The lights go out as "Daylight Dancer" by Lacuna Coil starts to play. One light flashes at the entrance ramp as smoke builds up there. As the vocals start, the silhouette of the Sadistic Jester appears in the smoke. As the music picks up, strobes around the arena flash and Schizm emerges from the smoke, laughing hysterically. He looks around the arena, not responding to the jeers of the crowd and walks down the ramp slowly. Schizm slides into the ring and climbs onto the corner turnbuckle and lets out a burst of maniacal laughter.)
FJ: "There's The Schizmatic Genius himself."
("Made You Look," by Nas begins to play and the crowd erupts. C-Rock walks out onto the entrance ramp wearing his wrestling attire of baby blue tights, baby blue kneepads, black wrestling boots, and an oversized black elbowpad on his right elbow. He is wearing a sleeveless black "Bad Blood" t-shirt and his wrists and fists are taped-up with white tape. C-Rock walks down the entrance ramp and up the ring stairs. He walks onto the ring apron and into the ring. He immediately leaps up to the second turnbuckle in the corner and places his clenched right fist into the air.)
HS: "Here's a former World Heavyweight Champion and one half of the current tag team champions."
FJ: "A lot of friction between the Tag Champs as C-Rock gets his chance to add some more gold to his collection."
(We see Schizm burst out once again in maniacal laughter. C-Rock doesn't know what to make of his opponent as he walks towards the middle of the ring. The bell sounds and we see Schizm and C-Rock lock up. C-Rock appiles a headlock to Schizm, trying to ground the smaller, faster opponent. We see Schizm drop to one knee, but quickly back up on his feet. He Irish whips C-Rock into the ropes, but C-Rock comes off with a shoulder block. We see Schizm hit the mat and begin laughing. C-Rock hits the ropes again, this time Schizm drops down, and C-Rock bounces off the other side of the ropes, only to be taken down by a deep arm drag takeover.)
HS: "What an exchange between the two. Schizm the faster one, C-Rock the stronger. This is a classic matchup."
FJ: "Herb, you're the only one that thinks that. This match really boils down to the Afro against the Jester."
(We now see C-Rock fly back up to his feet only to be met by a running dropkick, and C-Rock falls through the middle rope out of the ring. We see him sitting on the floor shaking his head. We now see Schizm go to the top rope. C-Rock gets to his feet and turns around to see Schizm jumping off the top rope. Before C-Rock could do something about it, Schizm hit a kamikaze headbutt to C-Rock. Both men now lay on the ground as the referee begins a new count. One... Schizm busts out laughing on the floor really getting everyone in the arena to wonder if the man has a mental problem or not. Two...)
HS: "What the hell was that? He could have permanately injured himself and his opponent."
FJ: "He's laughing HERB! He ENJOYED IT!"
(Four... We see Schizm now up on his feet, as C-Rock begins to slowly stur. Five... Schizm quickly picks C-Rock up and throws him into the ring post. Six... We hear a thud a C-Rock drops to the floor. Seven... Schizm picks C-Rock up and rolls him into the ring... Eight... Schizm rolls back into the ring. Schizm now gets up to his feet. He pulls his opponent up and Irish whips him into the turnbuckle. Schizm follows up with a cartwheel handspring elbow to an opponent in the corner.)
FJ: "The RUNNING GAG!"
HS: "Frank I'm right here, no need to be yelling."
FJ: "Herb, take my word for it, C-Rock is done."
(We see C-Rock fall down out of the corner, "Ric Flair style. Schizm goes for a quick pin attempt. One... Two... Thr. C-Rock kicks out.)
HS: "Near-fall by Schizm."
(Schizm pulls C-Rock up again and attempts an Irish whip. C-Rock however reverses it and sends Schizm across to the opposite turnbuckle with an Irish whip. We see C-Rock hit the mat after the force he threw Schizm with. Schizm seems to be winded after that move. C-Rock, although hurt, gets back to his feet, attempting to capitalize on the oppertunity that's been created for him. C-Rock is near the corner where Schizm seems to be resting when all of a sudden Schizm runs out of the corner, only to be caught and dropped in a spine buster.)
HS: "What a high impact move by C-Rock. He seems to be really focusing his attack on Schizm's back."
FJ: "He's had two offensive moves all night."
HS: "Three Frank... Three if you want to get techincal."
(C-Rock goes for a cover. We see a one and Schizm quickly kicks out. C-Rock now picks Schizm up and he kicks Schizm in the gut. He connects with a DDT. Schizm does the smart thing and rolls out of the ring.)
HS: "Schizm seems to be running for higher ground."
FJ: "This is a great move by Schizm. It gives him a chance to rest."
(We now hear Schizm laughing again as he begins to head towards the ramp. C-Rock quickly rolls out of the ring and power walks to catch up. Schizm, barely looks over his shoulder and sees C-Rock coming. All of a sudden it looks like Schizm pulls something from his motley, and as C-Rock approaches he turns around and punches C-Rock in the face. We can see he throws the brass knuckles to the ground as he picks an injured C-Rock up. We hear the count is at five as Schizm Irish whips C-Rock into the side of the ring. We hear six... Followed by Seven as Schizm reaches the ring once again. He rolls C-Rock in the ring at eight, and climbs up on the ring apron at nine. Schizm climbs the top rope as C-Rock lays on the ground. Schizm comes off the top rope with a corkscrew moonsault. He lays on C-Rock for the cover. One... Two... And C-Rock kicks out.)
FJ: "It's the beginning of the end for C-Rock."
HS: "C-Rock's taken much worse than this, Frank. I don't think he'll have a problem fighting out of this situation."
(Schizm now gets up and begins laughing once again. We see C-Rock slowly start to stir. C-Rock gets to his feet and Schizm throws a punch. C-Rock ducks under the punch and lands a german suplex, but he is to hurt to put the bridge on the pin. We now hear the AWA Fans chant C-Rock, and begin stomping their feet and clapping their hands to get C-Rock some momentum as the count reaches three. Four... C-Rock rolls towards the ropes... Five... Schizm begins to get up, still laughing. Six... C-Rock pulls himself up by the ropes. Seven... Schizm stands up. He turns around and is met by a closed right hand that sends him straight to the mat. Schizm, almost as quickly as he went down pops back up, only to be sent down again.)
HS: "There's still life in C-Rock."
FJ: "What else does Schizm have to do to put another former World Heavyweight Champion to rest?"
(Schizm quickly back to his feet again is met by a dropkick by C-Rock. C-Rock now gets back to his feet, Schizm crawls to a corner and begins to pull himself up. We see Schizm turn around only to be hit by a clothesline, knocking him into the corner. C-Rock climbs to the second rope and begins hitting punches on Schizm's head. We hear the crowd counting... One... Two... Three... Four... Five... Six... Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten... C-Rock hops off the second turnbuckle as Schizm attempts to come out of the corner. We see C-Rock grab Schizm and toss him back to the corner. C-Rock begins lands three straight knife edge chops to Schizm before Schizm pokes him in the eyes.)
HS: "Ref, that should be a disqualification."
FJ: "Herb, I don't think the referee saw that."
(We see C-Rock back up towards the middle of the ring. Schizm quickly follows him out. Schizm kicks C-Rock in the gut and lifts C-Rock up for a verticle Suplex, but dropped him with a facebuster. We see C-Rock roll towards the ropes but that stops as Schizm quickly locks in the Lunatic's Fringe. We hear C-Rock scream out in pain. We also hear Schizm with his usual maniacal laughter. Suddenly Schizm breaks the hold. Schizm pulls C-Rock to his feet. He attempts to Irish whip C-Rock to the ropes, but C-Rock reverses and instead of bouncing off the ropes, Schizm jumps on the middle rope and does a flip hitting an Asai moonsault on C-Rock. The momentum carries C-Rock out of the ring. We see Schizm quickly follow.)
FJ: "I knew C-Rock had nothing left in the tank."
HS: "I can't believe you're saying that. He isn't one of the greatest wrestlers to wrestle for this company for nothing."
(Schizm begins picking C-Rock up, but C-Rock throws a desperation punch and hits Schizm in the stomach. The referee's count is at three. We see C-Rock now stand up and Irish whip Schizm into the ring stemps. The referee's count is at five as C-Rock rolls in the ring. Schizm now shakes his head at the count of six. At seven he begins laughing. At eight he stands up. At nine he rolls in the ring and is met by a boot to the head by C-Rock. Schizm quickly is pulled to his feet. C-Rock picks him up for a suplex and drops him. C-Rock goes for the cover but only gets a one count.)
FJ: "What a terrible pinning attempt."
HS: "I thought you said C-Rock was finished, Frank?"
FJ: "You'll see, Herb. You'll see."
(C-Rock now gets back to his feet and pulls Schizm back up with him. He hits a neckbreaker on Schizm, but doesn't stop there. He picks Schizm up again landing both a second and third neckbreaker. We now hear Schizm begin laughing. We see a confused C-Rock as this is happening. C-Rock picks him up again, this time to kick him in the gut.)
HS: "C-Rock's setting him up for the Regulator."
FJ: "OH NO!"
(C-Rock is about to hook the Regulator when Schizm quickly hits a low blow on C-Rock, without the referee noticing. C-Rock falls straight to the ground and Schizm sees this oppertunity to apply the Joker's Folly on C-Rock. We now hear Schizm's maniacal laughter and C-Rock screaming at the same time. With C-Rock planted in the middle of the ring we suddenly see him tap out as the pain was too much for him to handle.)
FJ: "I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU!"
HS: "Schizm moves on the the next round of King of the Kage in an unbelieveable performance."
FJ: "Herb, how does it feel now that I'm right for once?"
HS: "Schizm has beaten both members of Bad Blood on his way to the second round of King of the Kage. That is a very impressive feat. And he is going to face his biggest opponent in The Hangman!"
(We cut to the back where we see Low preparing himself for his match with Whisper, before cutting back to Herb and Frank.)
HS: "AWA fans, we have a few big weeks coming up here in the AWA. On August 14th the AWA will travel overseas once again, as AWA Classic will emanate from Hamburg, Germany. Next week on Sunday Night Shock, whoever ends up the new World Champion will take on whoever wins tonight's battle royal. And also on Shock, but in TWO weeks, some sort of multi-participant match will determine the number one contender for the World title at Classic. No word yet on how many men will take part in this or under what rules they will compete, but you can bet that whoever wins this match deserves that title shot."
("Big Poppa" booms from the PA system to the accompaniment of blinding white pyrotechnics, and the fans instantly make their disapproval known. Poppa comes out from behind the curtain with his arm around Tiffany, met to their usual chorus of boos the two make their way down to the ring.)
FJ: "Well, it's always nice to see Tiffany!"
HS: "I'd rather see a woman with integrity. I'd also rather have an announce partner that actually cared about the action."
FJ: "Are you gay Herb?"
(As Herb Summers splutters at his announce partner, Tiffany bends her way seductively into the ring while Poppa hops onto the ring apron and makes his own way into the ring. Soon after, "Big Poppa" fades and is replaced by Enigma's "Sadness.")
HS: "Here comes Quade! It's gonna be interesting to see how these two react."
FJ: "It is gonna be one hell of a fight."
(Quade stalks to the ring, completely ignoring the crowd, and upon entering the ring he removes his trailworn trenchcoat and mockingly salutes the fans with one burn scarred arm.
The referee calls for the bell and the two men go chest to chest in the center of the ring as Tiffany drops to the ringside mats. Some trashtalking ensues, but is broken by Poppa when he throws Quade a stiff right cross. Quade responds in kind and they go back and forth throwing bombs into eachothers faces.)
FJ: "Slobberknocker!"
(Indeed we do have a slobberknocker as both men are just pounding away on eachother. The referee tries to split the two men up without getting hit himself but gives up. Finally Quade gouges into Poppa's eyes, then hits him with a hard clothesline. After dropping an elbow he goes for a quick pin, but only gets a one count. Poppa comes back up quickly and gets irish whipped into the nearest turnbuckle. Quade charges in only to get backdropped. His upper back hits the top of the ringpost and he almost lands on his feet. He hits the ground in a heap and lays motionless. Poppa comes out of the ring towards his fallen opponent grinning and strutting.)
HS: "Oh my god! What an amazing show of ring savvy by Poppa!"
FJ: "I honestly can't say I disagree Herb. That could make the match for Poppa!"
(Poppa goes to pick up Quade, only to be surprised by a low blow that lifts the bleach headed Poppa off his feet. When Poppa comes back down he balls up and lays in a crumpled mass. Quade looks over at Tiffany and smiles that crocodile smile of his before stomping away on Poppa.)
FJ: "I think every man here felt that. Well, every man here except you Herb. I don't think you count."
HS: "Trust me Frank, I felt that too. I just didn't feel sorry for the guy."
(Quade stops stomping and suddenly starts rooting around under the the ring. He comes back out with a chair and a golf club.)
FJ: "HEY! That's Cynder's golf club!"
HS: "Good, maybe it'll get broken."
(Quade suddenly throws the chair over the ropes and into the ring, then he slams Poppa in the gut with the golf club. Poppa rolls around on the ground in pain, and Quade hits him again. Then Quade is suddenly stuck in the face by... a high heeled shoe??? Indeed, Tiffany has thrown one of her shoes at Quade DeSade, and it hit him square in the face. He's blinded by the lucky throw, giving Poppa precious time to recover by dilevering a belly to belly suplex. Quade is thrown hard onto the barrier and lays there in perfect balance before one of the fans pushes him back onto the ringside mats.)
HS: "Two strokes of bad luck in rapid sucession. First he's hit in the head with a shoe, then he gets broken in half on the barricade!!"
FJ: "He can take it, he's gone through worse. Stop thinking like such a pansy."
(Quade groggily staggers to his feet and is met by a waiting Poppa, who applies a bear hug on the outside. However the ref yells at him telling him no submissions on the outside, so Poppa throws Quade in. Poppa tries to go back on the attack, but Quade is there with a quick rollup that gets a two count. Poppa kicks out and stands up, only to be met with a pretty hardcore spinebuster. Quade is quick to capitalize and moves in with repeated elbow drops to the sternum. He covers... 1... 2... Kickout by Poppa.)
FJ: "These two guys really aren't holding much back are they?"
HS: "Well it is for the No Limit title Frank."
(Quade irish whips Poppa and hip tosses Poppa over the ropes to the outside. Poppa manages to land on one of his feet instead of having his back take the fall, though he still goes down pretty hard. Quade, who's all smiles again, picks up the chair that he threw into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. Quade, from the top rope, throws the chair at Poppa, who's regained his feet. Poppa isn't ready at all for such an unanticipated maneuver and takes the chair straight to his face. He falls in a heap while Quade seems to be readying himself for something.)
HS: "What on earth is that man doing?"
FJ: "I'll bet it's something Poppa ain't gonna like!!"
(Indeed, it is something against Poppa's favor, as Quade leaps of for a HUGE elbow drop. Surprisingly it hits, leaving both men in a jumbled mass. Tiffany runs over to check on Poppa, but she's unable to revive him. She looks around and fidgets helplessly while both men groan and try to get up. After awhile, Tiffany gets an idea and she starts rooting around under the ring apron.)
HS: "Alright, what is she doing now??
FJ: "Watch and see, Herby."
HS: "HERBY?!?"
(Tiffany comes up with a triumphant smile and a fire extinguisher. She points the thing at both men and fires it. Poppa and Quade get hit by the cold cold white frosting mist and manage to roll away from it and pop up to their knees.)
FJ: "That's one way to wake someone up!!"
HS: "It worked, I'll be damned."
(Quade is first to his feet, though he is still very groggy. He goes over to Poppa and hooks him in a russian leg sweep. It connects, and Quade appears to be gathering momentum. He leers over at Tiffany and begins to slowly stalk towards her.)
HS: "This is sick. Why can't he leave her alone?"
FJ: "Well, when there's a girl as gorgeous as Tiffany at ringside you can't blame him!"
HS: "You know what? You're sick too. Jackass."
(Tiffany runs away from Quade, and Quade persues. Poppa stirs and makes it to his feet by the time Quade and Tiffany have made one run around the ring and he catches Quade with a hard clothesline. Poppa picks Quade up and rolls him into the ring.)
HS: "Good thinking by Poppa."
FJ: "Not only is he the most physically fit superstar, he's a smart one too!!"
(Quade and Poppa both in the ring now and Poppa backs Quade into a corner and starts up with some knife edge chops. As the crowd WOOOOO's along to the chops we begin to see that Quade's reactions are less than genuine. He suddenly slams Poppa in the gut with a fist and hiplocks him over onto the turnbuckle in a tree of woe position.)
FJ: "Uh oh!! I know what he's going for!!"
HS: "This could be over!!"
(Quade climbs the turnbuckles that Poppa is stranded on and taunts at the fans before hopping off and coming down... right onto Poppas boot! Quade stumbles back and knocks the referee down, then falls himself. Poppa falls from the turnbuckle and Tiffany runs over to him, some object in her hand.)
HS: "Hey, what's going on here!? Objects only outside the ring thank you very much!"
FJ: "If they aren't caught it isn't cheating now is it?"
(Indeed it is going to be cheating as Poppa now puts on a set of heavy brass knuckles. With the referee still down, Poppa begins to pummel Quade with the knucks. Over and over again he hits his adversary with hard rapid strikes to the head and chest. Quade goes down, barely moving, and Poppa tosses the knucks to Tiffany. Poppa goes over to rouse the referee and moves back to Quade.)
HS: "This is sickening."
FJ: "One! Two! Three!!! Poppa is our new No Limit Champion!!"
HS: "Yeah, and he had to cheat to win, even in a match where cheating was hard to do!!"
FJ: "Well Herby, a win's a win. Get over it."
(Poppa's music begins to play as Tiffany slides into the ring, handing Poppa the belt, and the two celebrate as they make their way back up the ramp.)
HS: "What a night this has been so far, fans."
(Lights in the arena suddenly go dim as the AWAtron comes to life, showing only a pair of familiar looking eyes on the big screen as ''Elite'' by Deftones starts blaring through the speaker system; the crowd's cheers are unbeliavable. Then, on the AWAtron, the image switches to black, completely.)
FJ: "What kind of sick joke is this?"
HS: "I don't know, but whatever it is, the crowd is loving it!"
(After about 1/4 of the song, purple and silver pyro explodes upward from the top of the steel ramp as a silver spotlight hits the curtains and out walks a young man wearing a pair of saggy blue jeans, red and white tennis shoes and a red and white horizontally striped polo shirt. The reaction of the crowd is huge!)
HS: "IT'S ANDY PEEK! ANDY PEEK IS BACK, FRANK!!"
FJ: "OH MY GOD! I thought I would never see this day, Herb! It's unbeliavable!"
(He stands at the top of the ramp and taunts the crowd before raising his right hand aloft. Andy then starts looking around the crowd, with a smile from ear to ear.)
HS: "Andy Peek is back, Frank, and listen to the ovation from the crowd. He looks in the best shape of his life!"
(Once he reaches the ring, he climbs the steel steps and enters the ring under the top rope, over the middle rope. He then runs to one of the turnbuckles, climbs to the middle and raises both of his hands up high as thousands of blashbulbs go off around the arena. He then walks to the opposite turnbuckle and does the same thing as the lights around the arena eventually come back on to its fullest. The music slowly dies down and Andy looks around for a microphone. The crowd starts chanting Andy's name repeadetly as he looks into the mass with a big smile on his face.)
HS: "How glad am I to see Andy Peek back, Frank, after six whole months. He looks to be in the best shape of his entire career."
FJ: "Normally I would say something in the lines of "That annoying Andy Peek again!", but now I must say I am truly happy to see this kid back inside an AWA ring."
HS: "Last time we saw Andy Peek in action was a little over six months ago, fans. Now, during King of The Kage, he gives us the privilege to step once again inside an AWA ring."
FJ: "Shut up, Herb. He's gonna talk now."
(Andy starts raising the microphone to his mouth but the crowd starts the chants once again. He lowers the mic and starts to look around again, smiling as he hears his name being chanted over and over again. Finally, after a few seconds, he decides to speak, no matter the chants.)
PEEK: "GUESS WHAT!? THE EXECUTIONER IS BACK!"
(Even more cheers from the crowd. Andy smiles once again as the noise dies down a bit.)
PEEK: "You know, I spent months and months in rehab, I spent months and months training, getting back in shape. I spent months seeing how things in the AWA were getting interesting by the show and I wasn't part of it all. President Gray's return, all the titles stripping, the tournament leading to King of the Kage, the GREAT AWA crowd..."
(The crowd cheer one more time.)
PEEK: "...but now that I'm here, things should get a little more interesting, a little more fun. We all know why I was out of the AWA for so long. Six months ago I was brutally assaulted by my own brother here in the middle of the ring--"
(The crowd boos loudly, later wanting to hear the rest of what Andy has to say.)
PEEK: "But you know what? I don't hold any grudge against Bryan. I understand, after much thought, why he did it. He felt desperate, he felt, ever since losing the United States title, that everything was slowly falling apart. He was desperate and he wanted something bigger, he wanted to gun for something with power, something that would make him as important as he used to be when he was the United States Champion... and the only way he could find to do so was by assaulting me and Audrey in the middle of the ring."
(Crowd boos some more)
PEEK: "But like I said, I don't hold any grudge against him. After all, who's here, in the ring, speaking in front of you and the entire world?"
(Andy chants explode once again, this time lasting a while.)
PEEK: "But enough about the past. What matters now is the present, right? I always had fun going up against anyone in the AWA. From Jeff Christianson, to BlackJack, to Draven Shadows. I held the Television Championship, as well as, twice, the Tag Team Championship. Despite everything, Bryan held the United States Championship for one hundred and twenty days, almost as long as John Williams and longer than anyone else. That is set to be my immediate goal, but, of course, not before I show everyone that my return is not a waste of time, as I'm sure some guys back there will think so. Hopefully I will have my my return match next week on Shock!"
(The crowd cheers wildly knowing that Andy Peek is back for action on Shock. Andy looks around for a moment and then resumes speaking)
PEEK: "I guess it's a line many already know. Here goes... I issue an open challenge... um... to anyone back there who'd want to take me next week on Shock... I, uh... YEAH!"
(He drops the mic as "X-Ecutioner Style" by Linkin Park starts blasting through the speaker system and Andy climbs a turnbuckle to taunt the crowd by raising his arms.)
HS: "Andy Peek is back and ready for some action! I am sure we will soon find out who his opponent on Shock next week will be."
(We cut to the parking lot, where a long black limousine is driving up. The driver steps out and then walks around to open the passenger door. Out steps AWA President Travis Gray, with the AWA World title belt in his hand. We return to the arena as the music of AWA Sunay Night Shock begins to play and all seven participants of the battle royal walk out, of course, with a reasonable amount of space between them.)
FJ: "Seven AWA stars all in the same ring for one opportunity to meet up with the Champ that will be crowned later tonight."
HS: "This is what President Gray meant when he said everybody has to earn their place in the AWA. This battle royal consists not only of several promising newcomers, the current AWA Cruiserweight Champion as well as a former AWA World Champion are in it as well."
(John Rourke hands his Cruiserweight title belt to a ring attendant as all seven men are now in the ring.)
FJ: "Come on ref! Ring that bell!"
(The seven men are staring at each other. The bell rings. Jake Silas and Williams start brawling as Andrew Flash and Lonewolf go at it too. John Rourke, T-Bone and David Bable are looking at the two pairs. Rourke is the first to make a move as he jumps in between Silas and Williams, breaking up their hold. They start exchanging blows. T-Bone and Bable are starting to brawl too.)
HS: "A good start by all seven wrestlers."
FJ: "What are you talking about! T-Bone and David Bable were just doing nothing."
(Williams is working on Jake Silas. John Williams Irish whips Silas to the ropes and hits him with a kick to the gut on the way back. The move is acclaimed by a small number of cheers from the crowd, but mostly boos. Williams lifts up Silas in a powerbomb position.)
HS: "Don't tell me he'll..."
(Williams is walking with Silas up on his shoulder. He gets to the side of the ring. Jake Silas tries to desesparately get down. He gives good punches to Williams' head, who starts to stumble and finally lets go of Silas. Jake lands on the other side of the apron. A dazed Williams finally realises what's happening and pushes Silas down.)
FJ: "Jake Silas just been eliminated by John Williams."
(On the other side of the ring, David Bable seems to have gained control over T-Bone. He's applying a sleeper hold on him and starts dragging him to the side of the ring and tries to throw him over the ropes. T-Bone refuses to let go as Bable applies more pressure to the hold. T-Bone is back in the middle of the ring. With the last of his energy he charges up towards the ropes in front of him and flips up Bable to the outside of the ring, but his attempt fails as he's dragged to the outside with David Bable.)
HS: "T-Bone just eliminated David Bable and himself at the same time."
FJ: "Not a smart move from the rookies."
(Referees rushe to Bable and T-Bone outside, showing them the way out. Back in the ring, John Rourke is brawling with John Williams. Lonewolf joins the duo and the three start brawling in the middle of the ring. Andrew Flash comes out of nowhere and lands in a splash position on the trio. All four remaining men are down on the ground. Lonewolf is the first to be up. He picks up John Williams and Irish whips him into the corner. Lonewolf charges toward the corner and lands a big splash on Williams. An already weakened Williams takes time to gets up as Lonewolf is already up, stalking him up. The second Williams is up, Lonewolf lands the Exorcism.)
HS: "Williams is taking a real beating. And the fans seems to like it."
FJ: "Most of them, anyway, but I hear some scattered cheers after Williams basically begged the fans for forgiveness recently."
(Lonewolf picks up a groggy looking John Williams. He slowly drags him to the side of the ring. He smirks as he slowly throw the lifeless looking body of John Williams out of the ring.)
FJ: "John Williams has just been eliminated, we're now down to three people in the ring."
HS: "Andrew Flash, Lonewolf and John Rourke are left in the ring."
(Lonewolf turns back to the ring, as John Rourke and Andrew Flash are brawling. Lonewolf picks up John Rourke and sends him flying to the other side of the ring. A confused Flash is Irish whipped to the corner. John Rourke slides from under the bottom rope to the outside.)
HS: "What is he doing?!"
FJ: "He's taking a time out. He has the right to, you know"
(Back in the ring, Lonewolf and Flash are brawling, with no man looking to gain any advantage. They exchange quick and hard blows. Lonewolf backs down from Flash's hits, only to charge back. They go at it for about 20 seconds, then Andrew Flash gains a major advantage, as Lonewolf back down to the ropes. Andrew Flash backs up and goes for a clothesline, looking to eliminate Lonewolf. The two men fly over the top rope. Lonewolf is sent to the ground. Andrew Flash is holding on to the top rope and is forcing himself to get back up and not touch the ground. His feet are just inches away from the ground. He manages to get back up.)
FJ: "Lonewolf has been eliminated by Andrew Flash!!"
(Andrew Flash starts looking around the ring for John Rourke who seems to have disappeared. He climbs onto the turnbuckle and starts looking around the outside of the ring, on a higher view. Out of nowhere, John Rourke comes out and spears Andrew Flash and himself out of the ring.)
FJ: "HOLY *BEEP*!!!"
HS: "OH MY GOD!! THEY BOTH ELIMINATED THEMSELVES."
FJ: "But who won?!?!"
(The referee rushes down to the side. He looks on in disbelief. He raises Andrew Flash's arm in the air, signalling that he won the match.)
HS: "Looks like we have a winner."
(Other referees rush to the side and start arguing. One referee lifts up Rourke's arm. The referees start arguing.)
FJ: "From our point of view it's clear that Flash won."
HS: "Maybe we could get a replay"
(An AWA official comes down to the ring and talks to the referees. He then gets to the announcer side and talks to him for a couple of seconds. He then does the same with Herb and Frank.)
Announcer: "Ladies and Gentlemens, the winner of the Battle Royal, John Rourke."
FJ: "Well folks, the AWA official informed us that John Rourke was the first to touch the ground with his head after his spear and we have the footage to prove it to you."
(A footage is shown, wich is the spear landing in slow motion, but it is still hard to see anybody touching the ground first. Suddenly, "Hail To The Chief" begins to play and the fans erupt in cheers as President Gray steps out onto the ramp.)
GRAY: "Are you done yet? Here's the deal. John Rourke is the winner of this battle royal, simply because the official said so. I don't think the footage gives us a clear winner. So here's MY decision - this Thursday night on AWA Xplosion, we will see Andrew Flash taking on John Rourke with the winner getting the World title shot the following week. And that is final!"
(The fans cheer as both Rourke and Flash look on somewhat confused and irritated, while Gray walks to the back.)
HS: "Well, the boss has spoken. If this means the new World Champion gets this week off, I am sure he will appreciate that, considering how grueling this tournament has been so far. And up next we have our first semi-final match."
FJ: "Now this is a dream match-up, Herb, it will likely be the best
match of the night hands down."
HS: "I would be stupid to argue with you, Frank."
HS: "Here we go..."
(The entrance way begins filling with smoke. The screen lights up with
static. The lights drop to blue and a drum beat starts with various other
instruments. Finger Eleven's "The Last Scene of Struggling" is the song. As
the lyrics starts, images start appearing on the screen, replacing the
static... the words are quick...
The
images on the screen are cycling faster and faster.)
Feel the way...
(Another scream, this one with a blast of wind from backstage, blowing
the smoke outward. On that same gust of wind comes Whisper. The image on the
screen is the classic image of the atomic bomb exploding. It flashes the
word "Whisper".)
Through your Revelation...
(Whisper walks out of the smoke with a purposed-filled stride. Halfway
down the ramp, he drops the trenchcoat off his back. He reaches the apron
and climbs to the outside of the ropes. He pauses to look around at the
arena, then climbs in. Behind Whisper on the ramp, Justin picks up the
trench and follows to ringside. Whisper takes a spot in the far corner of
the ring and locks a focused eye on the ramp waiting for the appearance of
his opponent.)
HS: "Look at the look on his face, Frank, Whisper is more ready than I
have ever seen him."
FJ: "That he is, Herb. I dont know who to root for in this match, I
might have to call it down the middle."
HS: "Wow, that would be a change, you actually doing the job you're paid
to do."
("Drink New Blood" begins to play and strobe lights in all colors flash
all over the arena in accordance with the wild song. Low steps out from the
back and makes his way down the ramp, not wasting too much time. The crowd
gives a bit of a mixed reaction, and you can actually hear some support for
the seven-time World Champion. As he enters the ring, he doesn't take his
eyes off of Whisper, and Whisper follows suit. The ref calls for the bell
and the man both come forward and lock eyes.)
HS: "Folks, don't miss a minute of this one, it is sure to be one to be
remembered for a long time."
(The two men remain locked in the staredown for a good ten seconds before
they both break off and circle. Finally they lock up. Whisper takes the
advantage as he ducks behind and locks in a hammer lock. but Low is ready
and he ducks in reverse and quickly has Whisper in a hammer lock of his own.
Whisper pauses for a moment before ducking and rolling out and in the
process flipping Low from his feet courtesy of an arm wringer, bbut as Low
flips he is able to use his agility to land on his feet after the flip. The two
men back up and lock eyes once again stare each other down.)
HS: "What a technical exchange there, neither man could get the one up on
the other."
FJ: "Just like I said, Herb, this one will be one for the ages."
HS: "I believe I said that"
FJ: "Yes, because you are smart enough to come up with a statement like
that."
(This time the two men come together, but as they are locking up, Whisper
throws a boot and catches Low in the midsection, doubling Low over.
Whisper then quickly follows up by driving an elbow into the upper back of
Low. He hits two more elbows in quick succession and Low drops to one knee.
Whisper grabs Low and quickly pulls him back to his feet and backs him up
against the ropes and nails him with a violent chop, before whipping him to
the far ropes. Whisper then takes a few steps into the middle of the ring
and catches the returning Low with a picture perfect standing flip over drop
kick. Both men come to their feet, with Whisper obviously the better off, and
he takes full advantage as he hooks Low into a front face lock and wrenches
in on it momentarily before dropping it into a ring rocking DDT. Whisper
sits up and looks at Low who is on his back. Whisper quickly rolls to his
right and makes a cover and the ref drops into position and starts the
count, 1......2.....)
HS: "Oh, near fall, Low just got the shoulder up right there, but Whisper
made the mistake of not hooking the leg. That could show he is tiring just
a little, having already wrestled one grueling match in the first round."
FJ: "And he had the more grueling match against Schizm, whereas Low's match with NHL, while competitive, was less brutal as the match between the two Carnival members."
HS: "Yes, but will it be enough to get him by? Whisper is hungry, he
wants that first World title."
(Whisper looks to the ref quickly, then to Low who has rolled to his
stomach and is pulling himself along the mat towards the near ropes. Low
reaches the ropes and begins to pull himself up, only to have Whisper grab
hold of him once he has his hands on the second rope and drag him the rest
of the way. Whisper then forces Low into the corner and uses the top rope to
prop him up. He then leans in, whispers something in the ear of the seven-time Champion and takes a step back before driving a closed fist right into
the unprotected chin of Low, who is now slumping and allowing the ropes to
support the entire weight of his body. Whisper drives another right into the
chin of the nearly unconsious Low and watches as he flops to the mat.)
HS: "Whisper has Low in a bad way here, Low needs desperately to turn
this one around, or it could be game and tournament over for the seven-time
champ."
FJ: "Come on Low, you can get up, you are the man, you define...."
HS: "I thought you did not know who you wanted to win, why all of a
sudden are you in Low's corner?"
FJ: I am not in anyone's corner, I just don't want this match to end, the
fans deserve more."
HS: "Oh, and since when are you at all worried about what the fans of the
AWA want? You are just confused and don't want to admit it."
(Whisper stares down at the obviously near unconcious Low and a smirk
takes over the expression on his face. He begins to pull Low back to his
feet but as he is the hear in Low takes over and he begins to swing and land
left hooks into the midsection of Whisper. After the first few shots Whisper
takes a step back and Low stumbles forward and Whisper watches him fall back
to one knee. Whisper shakes off the attempted attack by Low and moves in
again, pulling Low to his feet and again backing him into the corner. Whisper
drives another right into the face of Low and then lifts him up and sits him
on the top turnbuckle. Whisper steps back and the grin finds its way back to
his face as he begins to climb the turnbuckles himself.)
HS: "Look out, Whisper might be going for it right here, if he..."
(As Herb is speaking Low begins to fight back. He drives a right and then
a left into the ribs of Whisper, which slows his climbing, and Low is able to
catch his breath a bit and pull back and drive a hard right hand into the
chin of Whisper which staggers him and gives Low the chance to push him
backwards to the canvas. Whisper lands hard and Low is able to pull himself
up. As Whisper gets back to his feet, Low jumps and flips over, managing to
land a fliping neck breaker from the second rope. As the men land with a
thud the crowd almost seems to get behind Low.)
HS: "My god, where the hell did he find the energy to pull that off, he
was out of it, and then bang, out of nowhere, high impact and both men are
down."
FJ: "That was incredible, Summers, I knew Low could come back."
HS: "Yeah, but Frank, he still needs to capitalize, and he does not look
very capable of that right now."
(Both men are down and the ref looks on and waits for movement from
either man, but both just lay there breathing heavily. The ref then begins
to count both men down, 1...........................2.............. as the second
count rings out, Low opens his eyes and we can see the glazed over look in
them. He begins to stir, while his opponent still lies on his back, eyes
closed as the count continues.
3......................................4.................................5.........................
Low begins to drag himself to the ropes to get up, and Whisper has started
to move himself as he has fliped over onto his stomach and is trying to push
himself to his hands and knees, yet he is very slowly doing so as the count
continues, 6.........................7......................8.....................
Whisper has made it to his feet and makes his way over to Low, who is making
it to his feet and leaning over the ropes.)
HS: "Well both men are up, who can take the advantage?!?"
FJ: "Whisper is moving towards Low.... Oh LOOK OUT !!"
(As Frank is speaking, Whisper moves towards Low and tiredly raises both
his hands into an axhandle position above his head and begins to bring them
down on Low, who is still leaning on the ropes with his back turned. But out
of nowhere Low lunges and raises his right leg and with a swift move he
connects with a violent high impact superkick right on the chin of Whisper,
who hits the match immediately. Seconds later Low falls himself, but on top
of Whisper, and as the ref makes his way into position Low reaches down and
hooks the leg. The ref quickly begins his count as the crowd cheers in the
back ground. 1........2......)
FJ: "Oh, Whisper kicked out, Whisper kicked out! How the hell did he do
that? I love this, Herb, these guys are never going to give up."
HS: "I dont believe what I am seeing, that kick landed square on the chin,
but somehow, someway, Whisper was able to summon the strength to kick out.
The winner of this match might just have to kill his opponent to keep him on
the mat for a three count."
FJ: "And everybody knows both men are willing to do just that."
(Low rolls over, gets to his knees and covers his head in disbelief
for a moment, before climbing back to his feet. He then looks down at Whisper,
who seems to still be way out of it. Low shakes his head again and pulls his
opponent back up to a vertical base and backs him up against the ropes. Low
then delivers a series of chops which create a sound that rings throughout
the arena, even over the sound of the fans. Low backs up and watches as
the exhausted Whisper falls to the mat face first. Low smiles down at him,
having gained his breath back and then takes off to the ropes and comes off
with a leg drop across the neck and back of the prone Whisper. Low flips
him over and covers again and with the ref right on the spot the count
begins, 1......2..... Kickout by Whisper.)
HS: "Another near fall there. Will Low be able to keep Whisper down with
anything?"
FJ: "I am beginning to doubt it, and by the looks of it, Low is as
well."
(Low looks at the ref with a questioning eye before he climbs to his feet,
pulling his nearly lifeless opponent with him. Low backs Whisper in a corner
and just as Whisper had done moments ago, Low props his opponent up using
the ropes to support his weight. Low then leans in and whispers something in
his opponent's ear, once again in the same fashion as Whisper had done to
him. Low then heads to the outside and climbs up the outside of the
turnbuckle where Whisper is leaning, trying to clear the cobwebs from his
head. Low reaches the top rope and grabs the head of Whisper and pushes of
throwing himself foreward into a bulldog position, but in midflight Whisper
is able to take a couple of steps and change the momentum and hold Low up
for a split second, before falling back, dropping Low in a modified belly to
back suplex position. Both men again land hard and again both seem to be out
of it.)
HS: "Again, both men are down, and again one man is on the brink of
destruction, but somehow, out of nowhere he is able to defy logic and escape
the clutches of the match ending move. There is nothing between these two
men."
FJ: "But Herb, look, they are not the only two who are down."
(What Frank is referring to is the referee, who is also down and out cold
in the middle of the ring, as when the two men fell the left leg of Low
connected with the head of the ref, knocking him cold. At this point Whisper
is able to pull himself along the mat over and throw an arm over Low in
despereation, but there is no ref to count.)
FJ: "This one could be over Summers 1.......2......3.......4....."
HS: "But there is no referee, and I dont think Whisper knows it."
(Then quickly sprinting to the ring from the back comes another ref who
slides in and quickly begins to count 1........2.......)
HS: "Oh my God, another kick out by Low, we are going to be here all
night"
FJ: "This is amazing, both of these men have shown that they are
deserving of being called the World Champion, it is just a shame that only
one man can."
HS: "What is up with you? You are never like this, you almost sound like
you care!"
FJ: "Of course I care, Herb, this might just be the match of the year
we are witnessing, and it is only the semifinals."
(Whisper rolls from his cover position to his back and again both men are
down and again the ref has to start a ten count.
1......................2......................3............. Both men begin
to stir around the same time and both seem to head for the ropes on opposite
sides of the ring as the ten count continues
4..........................5.....................6................... Both
men are able to pull themselves up using the ropes. Low turns and catches a
glimpse of Whisper who is still leaning on the ropes. Low grabs Whisper in a
choke like position around the neck from behind and the ref is quick to get
involved. Low begins to pull Whisper toward the middle of the ring and the
ref is around trying to make Low release the hold. Low ignores this and
begins to argue with the ref, but this distraction allows Whisper to lift
his leg and in a mule kick like move he hits a low blow on Low, who releases
the choke and falls to the mat. The ref questions Whisper about what
happened, but Whisper chooses to ignore the ref and moves towards his downed
opponent. Whisper grabs the left leg of Low and drives a falling elbow into
the knee area before quickly climbing back to his feet. Whisper this time
grabs both of Low's feet and drops a leg to the groin region, but Low is
able to grab the legs of Whisper as he drops and Low quickly crosses the
legs of his opponent and rolls him over, then gathering his stregth, Low
stands up and has unconventionally but effectively locked Whisper into the
Low Profile right in the middle of the ring!)
HS: "LOW PROFILE.... LOW PROFILE... OUT OF NOWHERE, this one could be
over! Whisper is in a whole world of hurt, it is written all over his face!"
FJ: "Low is going to win it, he is on to the finals, there is no way
Whisper can get out of this. Low has it locked in tight!"
HS: "I would not say no way, Frank, I mean, you have seen what has happened
so far."
(Whisper struggles and the grimace on his face grows with each second he
spends in the devastating hold. Then he begins to pull himself towards the
ropes, but with each second we see the pain grow on his face.)
HS: "He is trying, but it has to be over, Low is going to injure him
here. Whisper needs to give it up."
FJ: "I don't think that will happen, Summers, he is either going to make it
to the ropes or he is going to pass out from the pain."
(Whisper continues to inch by inch pull himself closer to the ropes, but
it seems like he has had all he can take. He stops and raises his left hand
into the air and starts to bring it down.)
HS: "Here it comes, it was a valliant effort but..."
(As Whisper's hand is coming down his fingers touch the ropes, so he
struggles, stretching his arm out and finally he grabs the ropes and the
ref calls for the break, which Low waits until after a count of four to
break.)
FJ: "I dont believe it, he got out, he made it, this is crazy, Summers"
HS: "It sure is, and then some, but is the damage done? How well will
Whisper be able to function now with the time nearly two minutes he spent in
the Low Profile?"
FJ: "I don't think Low can believe it either"
(Low looks down at Whisper who still has the pained grimace on his face,
almost in disbelief. But he quickly shakes it off and pulls Whisper to his
feet and begins to pull him once again to the corner. With each step we
watch Whisper limp to the corner. Low then sets him on the top turnbuckle
again and drives a fist into his midsection and then follows him up there. Low
hooks Whisper into superplex position, but Whisper raises a knee and breaks the
hold, then almost out of instinct Whisper quickly grabs the arms of Low and
forces his head down. Whisper jumps and drives Low's head into the mat
with the Eavesdrop.)
HS: "EAVESDROP.... WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME FROM!!!!!!"
(Whisper quickly drags himself over and covers Low, and as the ref gets
into position, Whisper reaches back and grabs the leg of Low and rolls back
for leverage as the count begins 1...........2.........3!)
HS: "This one is over, Whisper has shocked the capacity crowd here, this
one has to be called an upset! Whisper has just outlasted the seven-time
World Champion here, and now he is on to the King of the Kage finals! What a
performance, and what a match, both men deserve a huge round of applause and damn it, they
are getting it here!"
(Whisper is leaning against the ropes as the referee raises his arm and "One Last Scene" plays. Low is getting up as well, using the ropes to pull himself up. As Whisper starts to walk out of the ring, Low stumbles towards him, grabs him by the shoulder and spins him around. The two men eye each other as Whisper's music dies down. There is a buzz in the crowd, who is anxious to see what happens next. Suddenly, Low reaches out and offers Whisper his hand! After a few uncertain seconds, Whisper takes Low up on the offer and shakes his hand, before making his way out of the ring and back up the ramp. Low, in the middle of the ring, raises his right arm and gets a standing ovation from the fans.)
FJ: "A rare showing of sportsmanship that even I can stomach."
HS: "Whisper cleanly pinned Low in the middle of the ring, and Low practically endorsed him with that handshake. Whisper now gets to face either The Hangman or Schizm for the World Heavyweight title."
(We cut to a video package highlighting the feud between The Hangman and Schizm. We are reminded of the time Schizm didn't fight back against Hangman and then losing, of the various tricks played and the brutal beatdowns they administered on each other, of Schizm winning at Revelations at later helping Andreas Lasiewicz to win the US title in the US Underground Match. We return to the arena where "Sleep Now In The Fire" by Rage Against The Machine blares over the PA
as Lori is seen running away from the curtains. The Hangman then parts them
and begins walking towards the ring. )
HS: "And here we go with the Semi Finals of the King of the Kage
Tournament!"
FJ: "And these two men are not strangers to each other."
(After only taking a few feet, a wall of fire blasts up through the
bottom of the ramp! )
FJ: "WHOA!!!"
HS: "This very well could be a life threatening match…"
FJ: "Every match involving the Hangman is life threatening!"
HS: "But Schizm is going to be seriously fired up tonight, considering
the apparent demise of Lady Ashe."
FJ: *Sobs*
(The Hangman walks through the fire and swings his right arm around as
his right leg strides forward. In a nonchalant motion, he undoes the jacket
from his right shoulder. Striding forward with his left leg, he repeats the
act with his left arm undoing the jacket completely in the process. As he
gets to the ring apron, he then removes his hat and flips it behind in the
direction of the burning jacket before entering into the ring. The lights go out as "Daylight Dancer" by Lacuna Coil starts to play.
Surprisingly, there are a number of cheers, as Hangman is by far the most
hated of the pair. One light flashes at the entrance ramp as smoke builds up
there. As the vocals start, the silhouette of the Sadistic Jester appears in
the smoke. As the music picks up, strobes around the arena flash and Schizm
emerges from the smoke, laughing hysterically. He is carrying the urn of
Lady Ashe. He looks around the arena, not responding to the jeers and some
cheers of the crowd and walks down the ramp slowly. Schizm slides into the
ring, whispers to the urn and lets out a burst of maniacal laughter. )
HS: "And here we go…"
FJ: "Don't get ahead of yourself. The bell ain't rung yet."
(Schizm puts the urn down in the corner. Then Schizm raises his hand as
if to do some form of Magic trick to humour the fans, and mostly himself,
but shock showed about his face as nothing happened. He tries again, but has
the same result. He then shrugs, and charges at Hangman, attempted a big
Clothesline to the back of Hangman's head. Hangman just cocks his head back
in the direction of Schizm as Schizm sets off running towards the ropes,
coming back with another Running Clothesline, but again not having the
desired effect. Hangman just stands there as Schizm go for another one, but
this time he is abruptly stopped by a knee to the midsection with doubles
Schizm over in two. Hangman stares down at the smaller frame of the Jester,
before whipping him into the far ropes and catching him into the centre of
the ring, his huge biceps clutching around his waist as if attempting a
Bearhug, but seconds later he launches him across the ring with a
devastating Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex, sending Schizm and CONFETTI
everywhere!)
HS: "WOW? What power displayed here by Hangman"
FJ: "Well... At least we know what Schizm's magic trick involved!"
(Schizm lands hard, clutching at the base of his spine as Hangman stalks
him from behind. Schizm pulls himself to his feet using the ropes as Hangman
spins him around, connecting with a big Headbutt as he does. Schizm staggers
backwards, but is powerless to prevent another crushing Headbutt that sends
him reeling back towards the turnbuckle.)
FJ: "Schizm is quickly becoming a non-factor in this match."
HS: "Hangman is truly showing his urge for the World Title tonight. He
looks unstoppable."
(Hangman whips Schizm across the full length of the ring, sending him
crashing into the turnbuckle on the other side, before coming charging in
with a massive clothesline in the corner that causes Schizm to slump to the
mat. The crowd continues to boo. Schizm is quickly pulled to his feet, but
almost as quickly is sent straight back to the mat with a Vertical Suplex.
Schizm remains motionless in the centre of the ring.)
HS: "Schizm seems helpless right now."
(Hangman raises him to his feet once more and again whips him into the
ropes, however instinctively Schizm managing to duck the big Clothesline as
both men hit the opposite ropes, but as Hangman comes back for another
Clothesline, Schizm managing to drop down, hitting a dropkick to the left
knee of Hangman. Hangman falls down to one knee for a split second, but is
soon to his feet as Schizm comes running in once more this time hitting a
Tornado DDT from off the ropes?)
HS: "DDT from out of nowhere from Schizm?"
FJ: "He could still be in with a shout!"
(Schizm looks on in disbelief as even before he can make a cover,
Hangman sits up from the Tornado DDT, but before he can get to his feet,
Schizm sets off towards the ropes once more, this time nailing Hangman with
a raised knee to the face. Hangman goes down, but again sits up within
seconds?)
FJ: "This man REALLY IS a monster"
HS: "Was there any doubt?"
(The Hangman blocks an open handed slap from Schizm and whips him into
the corner, where the Urn of Lady Ashe is resting. He continues to wear
Schizm out in the corner with powerful elbows to the face. Several times,
Schizm tries to escape, but Hangman uses his power and size advantage,
catches him and throws him back. He backs up and goes for a running
clothesline in the corner, but Schizm dodges with a forward roll and Hangman
hits the turnbuckle chest first. As he stumbles backwards, Schizm locks his
head into a bulldog and leaps over the top rope to the floor, hanging the
opponent neck first on the rope.)
FJ: "Kamikaze Guillotine!"
HS:" A huge move and some clever thinking by Schizm."
(Hangman rolls around in pain. Schizm takes time to recover from that
big move, then rolls back into the ring. He then takes the opportunity to
drop a leg on his neck. He waits for Hangman to get to his knees and takes
him down with a dropkick kick to the back of the head. But Hangman is
quickly up AGAIN!)
(As Schizm runs towards Hangman, he throws Schizm effortlessly over the
top rope. Schizm hits the ground hard and Hangman wastes no time at all,
sending Schizm towards the steel steps head-first, in which Schizm crumples
on impact)
HS: "ow"
(Schizm has no time to recover as Hangman lifts him up by the head and
sends him crashing back into the steps, face-first. Hangman raises him once
more, staring face-to-face, and Hangman shows no mercy and lifts him high
into the air, sending him crashing back to the unforgiving floor with a
devastating one-handed Chokeslam!)
FJ: "A Chokeslam with authority by Hangman and Schizm is looking a little
worse for wear"
(Schizm lies motionless on the floor as Hangman towers above him,
laughing at him. Hangman pulls Schizm to his feet, but he slumps back down.
Hangman turns to face the crowd, taunting them as Schizm starts to stir,
unnoticed by Hangman, he rolls back into the ring. Hangman looks around for
him, but doesn't know where he has gone. He then sees Schizm is resting next
to the far turnbuckle, so Hangman crawls back into the ring and stalks his
prey.)
HS:" Good idea by Schizm. Getting a quick rest while he can."
(Schizm suddenly explodes out of the corner and Hangman goes for a
clothesline but Schizm ducks and nails him with a hard right hand, then
another, and then a left.)
FJ: "Schizm on the comeback"
HS: "And the crowd are going nuts! Schizm is not really a fan favorite,
but next to Hangman, he is!"
(He takes a step back and nails Hangman with a standing drop kick
knocking him back but not down. Schizm hits the ropes and comes off with a
clip to the left knee of Hangman bringing him down to one knee. Schizm then
steps up and drives his elbow into the top of Hangman's head numerous times.
He then steps back and hits a snap mare. He springs to his feet and grabs
time and brings him back to his feet. He chops him to the chest a few times,
working him back into the corner. He then runs to the other corner and takes
off across the ring and jumps up and goes for a monkey flip but Hangman uses
his strength to just push Schizm off. Schizm hits hard on the back of his
head. The Chicago crowd boos.)
FJ: "Well... That didn't last long!"
(Hangman then makes his way across the ring to the downed Schizm. He
picks him up, hits him with a hard sidewalk slam and then goes for a cover )
ONE
TWO
(Kick out by Schizm.)
HS: "Wow, that was close, Schizm needs to get it together here if he is
gonna come away with the victory tonight."
FJ: "Yeah, maybe something will happen soon..."
HS: "You always find the negative in things don't you!"
FJ: "Yeah, isn't it great."
HS: "No, it's not, just do your job."
(Hangman lifts Schizm back to his feet and drops him again quickly with
a clothesline. He then drops an elbow to Schizm's chest. He gets up and
pulls Schizm with him. He then puts his head between his legs and lifts him
up for a power bomb, but Schizm flips all the way over, pulling Hangman down
for a face buster. He rolls over and covers)
ONE

THR-
( Kick out!)
HS: " That was a close call."
(Schizm jumps to his feet and climbs to the top rope and waits for tim
to get back to his feet. As he does Schizm leaps from the top and nails a
missile dropkick knocking Hangman back down to the mat. Schizm makes his way
over and pulls The Hellbringer back up and hits a running bulldog. He then
rolls over and covers.)
ONE

THRE-
( Kick out at the last second.)
(Schizm begins to get up, as Hangman does as well, slower than Schizm.
Schizm uses all his strength to lift Hangman into a vertical suplex, but
then slams him face first into the mat. Schizm also lays on the mat,
attempting to recover from the strain of lifting the three hundred pus
pounder up. )
HS: "But that move also took a lot out of Schizm. Let's see how it works
in the long run."
(He goes for another cover...)
ONE
TWO
TH...
(Another kick out.)
FJ: "Schizm seems desperate for the win tonight."
HS: "Every man in this tournament has been desperate for the win! But
Schizm is playing a very good tactic here, forcing Hangman to waste his
energy for making several quick covers."
(However, Schizm makes a mistake, and has a brief argument with the
referee, allowing Hangman to roll out of the ring. However, Schizm then
starts to climb the turnbuckle and then leaps off once Hangman has gotten
up. Schizm hits the missile dropkick to the outside, and both men are on the
concrete now.)
HS: "Holy Crap, Frank did you see that?"
FJ: "I sure did, that move was suicidal!"
(The ref now starts the count on both men 1……..2…………3………4……….5………6 now
Schizm is up and shortly after he pulls Hangman back up as well. The Jester
starts to hammer away on Hangman who is supporting himself on the railing.
Schizm then backs up and delivers a dropkick that floors Hangman. Schizm
seems to very fired up now and he is actually playing to the fans. He rolls
into the ring to break the count, then rolls out again.)
(Back to the action we see that Schizm is now running at Hangman, he
seems to be attempting a clothesline however Hangman drops down and delivers
a drop toe hold out of desperation. Schizm falls forward and his head and
face strike the stairs now, with a violent clang we can see the flesh
hitting the unforgiving steel. Schizm's head snaps back and he rolls on the
concrete nearly unconscious the ref starts counting now.
1……..2………..3…………4……Schizm starts to get back up now and Hangman follows up
his last move by charging and delivering a clothesline. He picks up Schizm
and then tosses him into the guard rail. Hangman then exhibits extreme
amounts of power, by picking Schizm up over his head and press slamming him
down on the concrete. )
(Hangman begins laying in the boots to Schizm, but The Jester rolls away
after three of them. He clumsily charges Hangman but is met with a
tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.5....6......7..... Hangman breaks the count, but
rolls straight back out again.)
FJ: "That had to hurt!"
(Hangman picks up the groggy Schizm lays in a couple of right hands and
he goes to whip Schizm into the guardrail, but Hangman falls over!)
FJ: "That was genius!"
(The crowd are falling over in laughter, as Hangman is on the floor
holding a fake hand! Schizm is playing to the crowd, pretending his hand has
been ripped off. When he realizes Hangman is fuming, he goes straight back
into the ring.)
FJ: "Poor Schizm! He has to go through the rest of the match one handed!"
HS: "Oh please..."
(As Hangman is getting up , Schizm runs and hits the ropes and leaps
over the top rope performing a suicide dive onto Hangman, both men hit the
concrete hard, and the ref starts the count. 1…2…3…4…5 Schizm starts to
stir, and then eventually makes it in the ring breaking the count.)
HS: "A high risk move that paid off for Schizm there"
FJ: "A One handed suicide dive!"
HS: "Shut up Frank."
(Schizm has now gone outside and brought Hangman back into the ring. He
then almost kicks Hangman's head clean of with a hard martial arts style
kick. Schizm climbs the ropes and leaps off hitting a moonsault. He goes for
the pin.)
ONE

T...
(Hangman kicks out. But before Hangman can get back up, Schizm then
locks in a figure four choke hold sleeper on Hangman, attempting to force
more life out of him. The crowd goes nuts when they realize that Hangman is
fading.)
FJ: "That…that's the…"
HS: "That's Lady Ashe's old finisher! The Ankh! Schizm may win this one
with his craftiness."
FJ: "And Schizm is getting revenge for the death of….*sobs*"
HS: "It's okay Frank… Calm down…"
(The referee checks on Hangman, who is still conscious, but barely. He
raises one arm into the air and lets it go. Before it can even hit the mat
once, Hangman clenches his fist and grits his teeth. Suddenly, his eyes open
wide and Hangman looks fiercer than ever.)
HS: "Whoa, Hangman is showing some sign of life here."
FJ: "Hide me Herb! I don't like the look of this."
(Hangman then begins fighting for leverage, simply overpowering the
persistent Schizm. But he never releases the hold, even when Hangman is up
to her feet. Hangman then stands up and Schizm hangs on, sat on his
shoulders. Hangman tries to toss him off, but he refuses to let go.
Finally, Hangman begins charging full speed at the nearest turnbuckle. Just
as he gets there, he wheels around, slamming Schizm right into it. Schizm
still, however, doesn't release the hold.)
HS: "He refuses to give up. He is certainly a tough competitor."
FJ: "He's like the monkey on Hangman's shoulders!"
(Hangman slams Schizm into the turnbuckle several more times before
Schizm finally releases his grip in unbearable pain. Hangman drops to the
mat, but Schizm is sat on the top rope.)
HS: "Schizm has a big chance here!"
(As Schizm stands up on the turnbuckle, Hangman suddenly leaps to his
feet and charges. Schizm yelps and begins running across the top rope, away
from Hangman.)
HS: "Look at the agility!"
(Hangman chases him, so Schizm keeps running across the ropes. When he
is just about to reach the turnbuckle he started at, he springboards over
Hangman, as picture flashes go around the arena. As Schizm is about to give
Hangman a martial arts kick…)
HS: "THE CLAW!!!"
FJ: "Out of nowhere!"
(The crowd boos mercilessly as Schizm tries to kick Hangman so he will
release the hold. Hangman is relentless though and slams him down!)
HS: "Southern Comfort Slam!"
FJ: "It's over! It has to be!
(But instead of going for the cover… He looks over to Schizm's corner…
And the Urn!)
HS: "Don't tell me…"
FJ: "Don't do it!"
(Hangman walks over to the urn and picks it up, an evil grin on his
face. Schizm is just beginning to awaken. He looks over to Hangman and
shakes his head.)
FJ: "This is just wrong! Please…"
(Schizm is on his knees begging Hangman not to do it, but this only
encourages The Hellbringer. Schizm crawls over and pleads with him, telling
him it is a really bad idea. Hangman ignores him and takes off the lid…)
HS and FJ: "OH MY GOD!"
HS: "That wasn't the Urn!"
FJ: "It was a ‘Lady Ashe' in-a-box!"
(True to what they say, the urn opens up and a puppet of Lady Ashe pops
out and hits Hangman in the face. Rather than laughing Schizm runs over to
the stunned Hangman and gets him on his back.)
HS: "Wait a minute! Wait a minute!"
FJ: "He has him set up for the Last Laugh."
(And Schizm hits it! He makes the cover….)
ONE
TWO
THREE!!!!
HS: "Schizm did it!"
FJ: "Unbelievable!"
(Hangman kicked out a millisecond too late, and Schizm darts out of the
ring at lighting speed, celebrating while he walks up the ramp.)
FJ: "Hangman has finally be defeated one-on-one!"
HS: "Schizm is through to the King of the Kage final, after less than six
months in the AWA!"
FJ: "And he could be the next World Heavyweight Champion! I love it!"
HS: "Whisper or Schizm, two of the key players in The Carnival/EUD Inc. is going to end up the new AWA World Heavyweight Champion!"
(We go to a video package showing us the various previous meetings between Bad Blood and The Immortals, including the time Low turned on Atlas Johansson to cost The Immortals the title against Bad Blood. We then return to ringside.)
HS: "So, Frank, what's your take on the next match?"
FJ: "What is the next match?"
HS: "The Tag Team Championship match...don't you look at the paper in front of you? Or watch the videos on your screen?""
FJ: "I always thought this paper was just filled with worthless information that we don't need to really read."
HS: "...nevermind...so, what's your take on the match?"
FJ: "Considering that silent C is already off on a bad foot tonight, I'd say that the Tag Champs are in a real rut tonight."
HS: "Silent C?"
FJ: "Yeah, silent C-Rock, silent C. He was dead silent this whole week, so I have to make fun of him for that."
HS: "...It almost makes you think what would have happened if Jeff Christianson won the King of the Kage qualifying match three weeks ago."
FJ: "Oh well, sucks for them then. But in all seriousness, I'd say that this should hopefully be the last time we see the Immortals and Bad Blood fight for the Tag Team Championship because it's just getting dull anymore."
HS: "I wouldn't say that, but I would say it would be nice to see other teams like Damage, Inc. and the Carnival get some shots at the Tag Titles."
FJ: "Yeah, maybe that'll happen soon."
("I'm Going Out," by Mobb Deep starts playing and Jeff Christianson and C-Rock, as Bad Blood, emerge from the curtain with their AWA Tag Team Championships around their waists. They start to make their way to the ring, with Jeff leading and C-Rock following.)
HS: "It seems that C-Rock isn't as enthused about this match as I would hope he could have been."
FJ: "He's probably still depressed about losing the first round of King of the Kage matches tonight."
HS: "That is true, but with this mindset, how will the Tag Champs prevail now?"
FJ: "No one will ever know."
HS: "...shut up."
(Bad Blood enter the ring and raise their Tag Titles into the air, signifying that they are, truly, the top tag team. Atlas' theme hits the arena speakers and blue and yellow spotlights sweep the crowd. After about 10-20 seconds, the Immortals, Atlas and Apollo, come out on the ramp. Atlas is dressed in yellow/blue striped wrestling tights and black boots, his usual wrestling attire and Apollo is wearing his tan animal hide waist cloth and beneath the cloth he wears dark blue shortights with the words Apollo written in gold on the back in Greek style lettering and white boots with gold laces. The Immortals walk down the ramp, focusing on their match with Bad Blood.)
FJ: "It should be noted that these teams have faced each other a lot lately, and have a firm grasp on their wrestling styles."
HS: "And I'm sure that this should make for a very interesting match."
FJ: "I wonder who's going to start it off?"
HS: "I guess you'll have to wait and find out."
(Atlas slides under the bottom rope, jumps to his feet, pulls the top rope a couple of times, slaps his chest muscles, showing that he's ready. Apollo slides in after Atlas and stands up with his head lowered, mentally preparing himself for the match.)
FJ: "It appears that Jeff Chritianson is pointing C-Rock to the corner and he's going to start the match. C-Rock nods
his head in agreement, showing that he is a little bitch boy."
HS: "Frank, I wouldn't say that out loud again. I wouldn't want to see C-Rock come over here and kick your ass for that."
FJ: "Meh, I don't care, he would probably lose to me, too."
HS: "Well, and it appears that Atlas is going to start it off for the Immortals."
FJ: "Oooh...goody..."
(Jeff Christianson and Atlas Johansson circle each other for about thirty seconds when the Dark Warrior runs up to Atlas and the two lock up in the collar and elbow. Atlas and Jeff engage in back and forth pushing, trying to out power one another. Jeff pushes Atlas into a corner turnbuckle and knees Atlas in the stomach. Jeff lifts Atlas up and spins 180 degrees and plants Atlas on the mat with a powerful spinebuster.)
FJ: "That's an awkward move to use at the beginning of the match."
HS: "I think DW wants to get inside Atlas' head in the early goings of this match with some physical power."
(Dark Warrior picks up Atlas off the mat and he sets up Atlas in a suplex and he snaps his hips backwards, sending Atlas to the mat in a hard snap suplex. Jeff heels the hold and he stands up with Atlas and nails another snap suplex. Jeff gets up and picks up Atlas by the arm and puts Atlas in a headlock. Atlas tries to twist and turn out of the move, but Jeff has it in good. Atlas grabs Jeff's leg and gets him in a pseudo-sidewalk slam position and drops Jeff to the mat, causing Jeff to release the headlock. Atlas rolls away from Christianson and catches his breath. Atlas looks over at Apollo, who has his hand extended for a tag, but Atlas shakes his head no to Apollo.)
FJ: "I guess Atlas wants his tag in to be slightly longer than what Apollo was looking for."
HS: "Atlas is a strong willed person and a few moves by Jeff Christianson won't slow him down."
(Atlas bends down and picks up DW and puts him in a front facelock. Atlas keeps the pressure of the hold in and then drops to the mat with a DDT. Jeff bounces onto his back, holding his head from the impact. Atlas picks up Christianson and whips him into the ropes. Jeff attempts a clothesline, but Atlas ducks it and hits a hip toss when Jeff is on his way back from the other side. With Jeff on the mat, Atlas puts an armbar onto the Dark Warrior. Jeff's facial expression changes and he starts to grimace from the pain of the hold. He starts to stand up, but Atlas still has the hold locked in. Jeff is now standing up, fully, but Atlas is still holding on. Jeff gets Atlas twisted into a power bomb position and drops Atlas down onto the mat. Atlas releases the armbar and Jeff holds onto his arm as he slumps down to the mat.)
HS: "That was a unique way to get out of an armbar."
FJ: "But what damage has been done to the arm of Christianson?"
HS: "We'll have to watch the match to see if the armbar has put any drastic damage to that arm of Jeff Christianson."
(Jeff walks over to Atlas and puts on a chinlock. Atlas is trying to break out, but Jeff keeps the pressure on Atlas. Apollo comes through the ropes and hits Christianson on the back of his head, breaking the hold. Apollo steps back to the corner and Atlas is on his feet. Apollo has his hand extended over the top rope, begging for Atlas to come over to tag him in. Atlas, looking somewhat exhausted, slowly walks over to tag in Apollo, and makes the tag. Apollo comes into the ring and runs over to Bad Blood's corner and pushes C-Rock off the apron to the mat below. Apollo then walks over to Christianson and shoulder tackle's him to the mat. Apollo then applies the Arrow of Apollo. Jeff is trying to get out of it, but Apollo has it locked in well.)
FJ: "It seems that maybe Apollo might get this match won. Christianson has no where to go now."
HS: "Not exactly. Apollo doesn't have a firm grip on Jeff's legs."
FJ: "Good observation there, Herb."
(And this observation was true. Jeff is able to squirm out of the move and set his legs free. With this done, Jeff can easily toss and turn until his arms are free. Apollo lets go of Jeff's arms and picks him up. Apollo nails a snapmare on Christianson and then picks up Jeff and applies a DDT to him. Jeff lies on the mat and Apollo goes for a cover...ONE...TWO..T- Jeff kicks out of the pin. Apollo slams his hand on the mat in frustration and then picks up Jeff. Christianson kicks Apollo in the stomach and hits a DDT of his own on Apollo. Jeff picks up Apollo and walks over to Atlas with Apollo's arm extended and Atlas tags himself in. Jeff tosses Apollo to the mat and Atlas and Christianson lock up. Atlas wins the struggle and hits Jeff with a suplex. Jeff lands on the mat hard, holding his back after the impact from the smaller opponent. Atlas brings Jeff to his feet and tries for a drop kick, but Jeff instinctively moves out of the way and Atlas misses and lands on the mat. Jeff picks Atlas up to his feet and hits him with a few straight right hands. Jeff hits a spinebuster on Atlas and then covers Atlas...ONE...TWO.- Atlas kicks out from the pin attempt.)
FJ: "Atlas seems very resiliant tonight."
HS: "And he's been taking the brunt of the punishment put out by Jeff Christianson. It's like it's only really two men
fighting for the Tag Team Titles."
FJ: "Yeah, it is."
(Jeff gets up and walks away from Atlas, seeming pissed off that normal moves aren't putting away his Immortal opponent. Atlas is not almost to his feet and he notices that Jeff is walking around the ring. Atlas runs up to Jeff and punches him in the head a few times and then whips him into the ropes. Atlas runs the opposite way and jumps on the middle rope. He springs off and spins around and catches the unsuspecting Jeff Christianson with a clothesline. Atlas picks up Christianson and whips him into the ropes again, but this time, Atlas hits a powerslam. Atlas then grabs Jeff and puts him on his shoulders for the Atlas Shrug.)
HS: "Atlas has the Shrug locked in on Christianson."
FJ: "It seems that the titles will change hands tonight!"
HS: "Yes, on a night where we will crown a new King of the Kage and new AWA world Heavyweight Champion, it also seems that the Tag Team Titles will also change hands as well."
(Atlas walks up around the ring and then backwards into his own corner, pumping his arms to make Christianson tap out, but Jeff is still resiliant. Apollo hits a blind tag on Atlas that the referee catches. The referee counts to Atlas, ONE...TWO...THREE...FO- and Atlas drops Christianson to the mat. Atlas looks at Apollo confused, but his expression changes and he grabs Jeff. Atlas locks his arms around the waist of the Dark Warrior, preparing for the Achilles Heel, the move that finishes the Wrath of the gods tag team move that the Immortals have done time and time again. Apollo shoots his leg up and hits Atlas directly in the head. Atlas's body falls limply to the mat as Apollo looks stunned that his hit that much power and that he hit Atlas.)
HS: "What the hell?? What the hell was that?"
FJ: "Apollo accidentally hit Atlas instead of Christianson."
HS: "I don't think so. That look on his face didn't seem like he cared about Atlas. He seemed to be shocked about how far back Atlas flew after being hit by the Achilles Heel."
FJ: "Apollo has caused Atlas to lose the last two matches, but it's been because Apollo hasn't seen an AWA ring in such a long time."
HS: "I'll bet my house that the move was intentional. You know what they say, the third time is the charm, well this third one was it."
(Apollo bends down and checks on his fallen brother. While being bent over, he doesn't notice that Jeff Christianson is sneaking up behind him. Jeff hits a school boy on the unsuspecting Apollo. The referee counts the pin attempt...ONE..."
FJ: "...TWO...THREE!!"
HS: "That son of a bitch deserves it! Atlas had this match won and Apollo had to screw it up and cause Bad Blood to retain their titles."
FJ: "Well, I guess that Apollo needs some more training inside the ring then."
HS: "Or something."
FJ: "And now Atlas is conscious and he doesn't look too pleased by the actions of his partner and friend."
(Atlas looks really pissed off when he realises that Bad Blood have retained their Tag Team Championship belts. Atlas looks like he's going to blow a gasget, but he instead just rolls out of the ring and leaves Apollo inside the ring to himself.)
HS: "This doesn't look good for the Immortals."
FJ: "I'd say."
(Another highlight video airs, detailing the happenings between Brian Williams, Brian Stevens, King Chozen and Orlando Ortega leading up to King of the Kage, including the match between Stevens and Chozen and the tag team match from last week.)
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, it's been one helluva night to this point, and its only going to get better!"
FJ: "That's right, because later tonight, we're going to crown a new champion!"
HS: "Whisper and Schizm made it to the semi-finals of KOTK."
FJ: "But first, we have the Fatal Four Way coming up!"
HS: "The hall of famer Brian Williams takes on the ‘Sensation' Brian Stevens, Outrageous Orlando Ortega and the returning AWA legend, King F'n Chozen."
FJ: "Can you say F'n?"
HS: "I can say anything I want, Frank, it's PPV. Hell, I could say King Fucking Chozen if I wanted to."
FJ: "Herb! My children are watching!"
HS: "You don't have any kids, Frank."
FJ: "Well… so… I could have kids. And they could be watching."
HS: "When's the last time you've even been with a woman?"
FJ: "Last night… by the way, your mother says hey."
HS: "Real mature, Frank. Real mature."
FJ: "She makes the best chocolate chip cookies."
HS: "Shut up and call the match, Frank."
FJ: "No one's out here yet…"
(As if on cue, the lights dim in the arena and the spotlights focus on the entrance ramp as ‘The Color of Money' by Bury Your Dead hits over the P.A. system. The fans immediately react to the opening riff as the greet the superstar with a chorus of heckling and profanity. Brian Stevens emerges atop the entrance ramp after the intro of the song plays itself out. Stevens simply stands on top of the ramp, looking down on the people who are screaming obscenities towards him.)
HS: "They certainly don't like Brian Stevens here in Chicago!"
FJ: "They're just jealous."
HS: "Of what?"
FJ: "That Stevens has a beautiful woman, his own personal bodyguard in Onslaught and a worthy partner in crime, his Damage Inc. co-founder, NHL."
HS: "Something tells me its not jealousy, Frank."
(Brian slides into the ring and hits all four bottom ropes, stepping up on each one and jawing with the fans.)
HS: "Speaking of Kassle and Onslaught, I don't believe they'll be out here tonight. Gray told all the wrestlers before the start of the show that he wants everything good and clean, at least from that aspect."
FJ: "He's too good, he doesn't need those two out here anyway. Unless of course OOO and Chozen want to try some monkey business."
HS: "What? What would OOO and Chozen do… oh, never mind."
(Stevens focuses his attention to the entranceway as ‘ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR IIBAAAAAAAAAAAA' shrilly echoes throughout the arena. When the lyrics 'I'm feelin' hot', from Andres Esteche's ‘Ole, Ole', hit, orange spotlights encircle the arena and Orlando comes out from the back dancing to the music.)
HS: "And here comes OOO, a former Cruiserweight Champion, international soccer star, and a lucha-libre master."
FJ: "Yay."
HS: "OOO is most certainly the underdog coming in, and he's definitely the smallest. At 5'8", 165 pounds, he's a full half foot shooter than Brian Stevens."
FJ: "Hell, Brian Williams towers over him."
(When he reaches the ring apron, he hops up in one leap and quickly turns back towards the entranceway. Looking around the arena, he removes his sauna towel to the delight of many female fans. He then leans backward and rolls over the ropes into the ring.)
HS: "Brian Williams towers over everyone, Frank."
FJ: "Very true."
(The lights go out. As the ominous opening chords of Metallica's ‘Harvester of Sorrow' begin to build, after a long pause, a single deep bluelight falls on the ramp way. Smoke billows >from the entrance creating an ominous haze, from within the haze we see the seven monster's silhouette as he pauses, The dense mist follows Williams all the way to the ring until he steps over the top rope and glares at the two men already in the ring.)
HS: "Brian Williams hasn't been quite himself this last month. He was completely stunned when he lost his KOTK qualifying match. It's ironic that of the four finalists last year in KOTK, one is with another company, one is indefinitely injured and the other two, multi time World Champions Williams and Dark Warrior, didn't make the cut."
FJ: "Shhhhh… he'll hear you!"
HS: "Well, its no secret that since then, Williams has seemed almost aloof in his matches. A win tonight would definitely turn things around for him."
FJ: "Williams has changed so much lately. I hope he does turn things around. It won't be long before he reestablishes his dominance over the entire AWA again."
HS: "One thing that hasn't changed is the fans hatred for him."
FJ: "Eh, what do they know. Williams is a three time World Champion. He's in the AWA hall of fame, and did it faster than anyone."
HS: "He's definitely a legend in his own right… that's what makes this match all the more intriguing. Two AWA legends… two bright upcoming stars… only one winner!"
FJ: "Chozen's not even in the hall of fame. He's a long way from legend."
HS: "Speak for yourself."
("Rock Star" by N.E.R.D. begins to play as the arena lights come to a slow dim, shrouding the environment in darkness. A few seconds later, in coordination with the baseline for "Rock Star" the lights come back full force and none other than King Chozen stands on the ramp way. Chozen makes his way ringside in his slow, cocky, signature walk as the fans chant his name.)
HS: "These fans don't seem to agree with you either, Frank. Go figure."
FJ: (mumbling) "Go figure… I'll tell you where to go."
(Chozen rolls into the ring and bounces off the ropes, stretching a bit, and showing off all the meanwhile as he waits for the bell. The bell comes to him, however, as Brian Stevens suddenly darts off from his corner and knees Chozen in the chest. OOO and Williams look on, confused for a moment, then join in the on the fracas. The referee has no choice but to call for the bell as Chozen and Stevens are exchanging blows and OOO is darting away from Williams' reach.)
HS: "Here we go folks, a sudden death four way free for all! The first person to score a pin fall or submission over ANY opponent will be named the winner."
(Williams lunges towards the wiry Orlando, but the Colombian continues to dodge. Williams, frustrated, charges with a clothesline that OOO ducks. Orlando continues on into the ropes and comes back with a drop kick aimed at Williams' knee, dropping the big man to one knee. Orlando runs back against the ropes again, attempting another clothesline, but Williams, in a burst of unnatural speed, lunges off his knee with a vicious clothesline that folds Orlando up like a suitcase on the mat.)
FJ: "OH MY GOD! What a clothesline… Brian Williams just broke Orlando in half!"
HS: "Did you hear the impact on that move?"
FJ: "I'm just thankful I didn't have to feel it."
(Meanwhile, Chozen has gotten the best of sparring with Stevens and backed him into the corner. Chozen kicks Stevens in the gut and follows quickly with a back elbow that plants Stevens into the turnbuckle. Chozen, feeling it, then heads towards the opposite corner and charges, full steam, at Stevens.)
HS: "He's going for the big splash…"
FJ: "But Stevens moves out of the way in the nick of time."
(Although Stevens does move, Chozen lands feet first on the bottom turnbuckle. Stevens isn't so lucky, and scatters right into the massive palms of Brian Williams. Williams, with his large palms wrapped around Stevens throat, lifts the Showstoppa into the air, choking him. The referee counts… one… two… three… SMACK!)
FJ: "What the?"
HS: "Spring board elbow from King Chozen right into Brian Williams' back!"
(Sure enough, Chozen used the ropes in the turnbuckle to fling himself elbow first right into Williams' back, causing the big man to drop Stevens and stagger forward. Stevens quickly pulls Williams, who is already staggering forward, down with a drop toe hold. Williams lands neck first in the ropes and some fans let out a ‘gasp'. Now both Stevens and Williams are clutching at their throats as King Chozen is pumping himself up.)
HS: "Whoa, what an exciting match so far! This thing started intense from the get go! And King Chozen could earn a quick victory right here!"
FJ: "I don't believe this!"
(As Stevens staggers to his feet, gasping for breath, Chozen calls for the Chozen Spear. Just as Stevens is climbing to his feet, Chozen darts for the opposite ropes. He runs right into an around the world DDT from Orlando Ortega.)
HS: "Chozen is Going Global!"
FJ: "Where did that come from? Orlando Ortega is like a little gnat. You think you've squashed him but he somehow comes back to bother you more. Oh, maybe I should have said a roach… Mexicans are more used to them!"
HS: "FRANK! For the last time… Orlando is Colombian, not Mexican… and ALSO for the last time… stop being prejudice against Hispanics!"
(The impact from the move causes Chozen to roll out of the ring to regain some composure. Orlando kips up to his feet, extremely pumped. He sees Stevens on one knee, still grabbing at his throat, and he goes in for the attack. But it turns out to be a set up as Stevens quickly unloads with an elbow to OOO's gut then follows with a thumb to the eye.)
HS: "Oh, Stevens was playing possum there."
FJ: "He outsmarted OOO. Of course, that's not necessarily hard to do."
(OOO staggers back and Stevens goes right to work, combining closed fisted punches and forearm strikes to hide them from the referee. Orlando has lost his legs and is unable to stop Stevens' assault. After a mocking pose, Stevens knees Orlando in the gut, doubling him over. He then unloads with an elbow to the back of OOO's head, sending the Colombian face first to the mat. Stevens then begins clapping, taunting the booing crowd.)
HS: "This crowd is really giving it to Stevens tonight."
FJ: "Herb, that's because they want to be him."
(Stevens then goes back to work, wrenching his arms around the prone OOO's waist. He pulls the cruiserweight square off the mat doing this and then slams him over with a gut wrench suplex. Stevens then goes for a quick cover… ONE!... the count is broken up by Chozen AND Williams, who simultaneously stomp Stevens in the back.)
HS: "Chozen and Williams both stomp the back of Stevens to break the count."
(Chozen and Williams now eye one another and square off in the center of the ring. KFC looks up at Williams, not backing down in the least. The fans are raucous at the premise of the sure to come battle. Both men take a step towards one another with their stares unrelenting. Both men finally prepare to come to blows and their fists clutch. SMACK! Brian Stevens dropkicks Chozen right in the back, sending him flying into Williams, and both men go tumbling out of the ring, landing hard on the outside.)
HS: "What a landing! The human body was not meant to land like that!"
(Williams and Chozen make their way back up to their feet on the outside. Williams is up and begins to nail Chozen over the head with clubbing rights, relentlessly beating the smaller man. Chozen falls onto his knees from the blows as Williams backs up for a moment. Chozen looks up and Williams charges in with a knee but receives a drop toe hold for his troubles, landing face first onto the ground. Chozen mounts the apron and waits for the stunned Williams to rise. Williams crawls forward, away from Chozen and stands up with his back towards the Chozen one He turns around and Chozen dives with a calf kick off the apron but is caught in mid-air by Williams. Williams wraps his hand around Chozen's throat and delivers a devastating choke slam)
FJ: "What a move by Brian Williams! Now THAT'S wrestling!"
HS: "Devastating blow by Brian Williams!"
(Meanwhile inside the ring OOO and Stevens go back to back, delivering chop after chop to each other. Stevens backs down and goes for a big yakuza kick aimed straight at OOO's head but the Outrageous One ducks and follows through with a drop kick to Stevens. OOO picks Stevens up and attempts an Irish whip but Brian Stevens counters with an Irish whip of his own. Out of breath and out of desperation Stevens goes for a back body drop that sends Ortega over the ropes, but OOO by some chance and luck catches himself on the apron. The fans cheer him on as he goes up into a sunset flip and locks Stevens into a huricanrana pin. 1….2…kickout from Stevens!)
HS: "Close one for Stevens!"
FJ: "C'mon Herb, anyone could see that Stevens was letting OOO get the advantage."
HS: "Right Frank…Right."
(Brian Williams reenters the ring, over the top rope. As OOO stands he grabs him by the neck and tosses him from one side of the ring to the other. The tiny luncha tries to regain his footing but Williams charges at him and downs him with a hard shoulder block. He picks OOO up and delivers a devastating piledriver. The buck sixty Columbian looks hurt. Williams once again drags OOO to his feet and picks up up, blatantly choking him. The referee interferes and begins to count…1…2…3…4….Williams has had enough and intentionally tosses OOO at the referee. OOO flies nailing the referee, both of them going down to the mat hard.)
HS: "Brian Williams has just accidentally thrown OOO into the referee."
FJ: "Herb I don't think it was an accident that he threw him. He just wanted that little gnat to stop bugging him."
(Meanwhile Stevens has slipped outside and reenters the ring with a steel chair, not missing a chance to capitalize. He nails Williams in the back and the giant grimaces in pain as he turns around. Another hard shot to the head…followed by another…and another…Williams is STILL standing! Stevens runs back and bounces off the ropes, flies forward with a full head of steam and takes Williams head off with the chair!)
HS: "Oh my god!! Did you hear that!? WHAT A SHOT BY BRIAN STEVENS!!"
FJ: "He's got potential! Hey what's that going on over there!"
(As Stevens smiles in the ring proud of his work Chozen has slipped back into the brawl. He lies in wait as the fans go into an uproar. The arena shakes from the share noise. As Stevens turns to face Chozen, he charges forward NAILING Stevens with the Chozen Spear, with the chair between him and Stevens for added impact. Stevens is bent over on the ground, completely broken in half at this point, motionless. Chozen goes for the cover but the referee is still down. He manages to make it to his feet and re awaken the ref as he once again covers Stevens. 1…2…..3…no! At the last second OOO managed to lunge over and nail Chozen. Williams and Stevens roll out of the ring just as Chozen and OOO stir and get back to their feet. The two men approach each other, both weary from their battle.)
HS: "Listen to these fans! They're going crazy for Orlando Ortega and King Chozen!"
FJ: "Meh, I can still hear myself think."
(Ortega is the first to throw a punch. He connects to the head of King Chozen. We see King Chozen fire back and connect with a bunch of his own. The two begin trading right hands with the crowd cheering both of them every step of the way. We now see Chozen hit Ortega and rock him back to the center of the ring. Chozen charges in for what we think may be a Chozen Spear but Ortega jumps in the air. He's caught by Chozen, but Ortega now hits a monkey flip on Chozen who was surprised by the actions on his opponent.)
HS: "Ortega caught Chozen off guard there."
FJ: "And? Like this is entertaining me."
(Both men quickly back to their feet. This time Ortega charges in and attempts to clothesline Chozen, but Chozen ducks under. Ortega turns around and we see Chozen kick Ortega in the gut and land a cradle piledriver. Chozen attempts a pin, but the referee quickly points out to Chozen that OOO's leg is already on the rope. Chozen picks OOO up, and much to Chozen's surprises we see Ortega begin trading punches with him again. This time Chozen gets the advantage. He Irish whips Ortega to the ropes but Ortega grabs the ropes and elects not to head back to Chozen. Chozen charges in but the smaller Ortega quickly vacates the area.)
HS: "A bit of cat and mouse from Ortega."
(We now see Brian Williams try and roll in the ring. Ortega sees this and quickly delivers a dropkick to the face of Brian Williams, knocking him back out. Brian Stevens attempts to get back in the ring on the other side and we see King Chozen jump on the second rope and deliver a dropkick to the head of Stevens, knocking him back off the apron in the baricade. OOO and King Chozen back up to the center of the ring thinking they cleared it, and they bump into each other. They turn around and both men clinch their fists much to the crowds delight. We hear the crowd chant both mens names as they begin to trade punches for a third time. We finally see Ortega get another advantage and Irish Whip Chozen to the ropes and Chozen surprises everyone by jumping on the middle rope and springboarding off of it to hit a leg lariat that caught Ortega off guard.
HS: "What a move by KFC!"
(Chozen goes for a pin. One... Two... and broken up by Brian Stevens who didn't take too kindly to being knocked into the steel baricade moments ago. Stevens now picks Chozen up and Irish whips him into the corner. We see Brian Stevens run at King Chozen throw a clothesline. We see Chozen nearly fall, but Brian Stevens picks him up and places him on the top rope. He now pulls Chozen off for a hellacious DDT.)
FJ: "Damage Inc will be large and in charge by the end of tonight."
(We now see OOO come back in the ring, and as Brian Stevens turns around we see a spin wheel kick connect to his head. OOO quickly back to his feet dropkicks Stevens in his face. Stevens falls into the ropes. OOO quickly Irish whips him to a waiting King Chozen who nails a vicious Spinebuster. We now hear the crowd cheer as OOO and Chozen work together on Brian Stevens.)
FJ: "This isn't FAIR!?"
HS: "It isn't against the rules either, Frank."
(Chozen quickly pulls Brian Stevens up. He puts him in a position to give him a reverse Brianbuster. However he holds him straight up in the air and OOO climbs to the top rope. OOO jumps off the top rope with a huge splash causes a Splash/inverted reverse DDT combo to be hit on Stevens. We hear the crowd cheer. King Chozen makes it to his feet.)
HS: "What a move by King Chozen and Triple O!"
FJ: "It just isn't fair. It shouldn't end this way."
(Suddenly we hear the crowd begin a chorus of boos and we see Brian Williams standing over King Chozen. OOO attempts a running Splash on Brian Williams, but Brian catches him and plants him on the mat with a bodyslam. We see Chozen back up but he is met with Big Boot to the face. Brian Williams now goes in to pick Stevens up. He knees Stevens' in the gut and powerbombs him once. He powerbombs him a second time. And he does so a third time. He picks him up for a forth to keep the powerbomb chain going.)
HS: "The MONSTER IS BACK!"
FJ: "This match is over Herb... It's over for everyone."
(Before Williams can drop Stevens for a forth powerbomb, OOO and King Chozen both clip the big man taking him down. We now see Brian Stevens begin punching Williams in the face to stun him. Suddenly OOO and King Chozen begin stomping on him as well. We suddenly see Stevens punch OOO in the gut, breaking the three on one on Brian Williams. We see Stevens and OOO trade punches as Chozen Picks Brian Williams up. Suddenly Stevens clotheslines OOO over the top rope and we hear a big thud in the ring. We now see King Chozen locking in the Wall of Jusino on Brian Williams. We see Brian Williams slowly crawl to the ropes. He grabs the bottom rope with all the energy he has left. Chozen breaks the old.)
HS: "What will it take to put this monster away?"
FJ: "I thought it was over, Herb... how am I supposed to know?"
(King Chozen begins to stalk Brian Williams who is picking himself up by the ropes. Now that Brian is up on his feet, he begins to back up and turn around. We see King Chozen hit the Chozen Spear on Brian Williams and knock the air out of the big man. King Chozen quickly goes for the cover. One... Two... Three...)
HS: "King Chozen DID IT! HE PINNED BRIAN WILLIAMS!"
FJ: "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"
(Suddenly we see Brian Stevens throw OOO into the steel stairs outside the ring, then roll him into the ring. We hear the fans begin to boo, and they continue to boo all the future actions. Suddenly we see Onslaught run down and get in the ring. We see King Chozen up on the second turnbuckle celebrating, and Onslaught runs and pulls him to the mat. We now see NHL slowly making his way down to the ring with a cane in one hand, and handcuffs in the other hand. As King Chozen attempts to fight off Onslaught, we see Brian Stevens roll inside the ring and clothesline Chozen in the back of the head. NHL rolls in the ring.)
HS: "What the hell is this?"
FJ: "Damage Inc. living up to their name."
(We now see Onslaught powerbomb Chozen. NHL throws Brian Stevens the handcuffs and he handcuffs Chozen to the ring ropes. NHL then picks OOO up and kicks him in the stomach. He drops him with an evenflow DDT. We see Brian Williams get up. Onslaught and Brian Stevens take Williams to a netural corner as NHL lays the boots to OOO. Suddenly Brian Williams pushes Stevens away, and kicks Onslaught in the guts. He runs and NHL and BAM! NHL lays Brian Williams how with a cane. We now see NHL throw the cane to Brian Stevens. NHL picks up OOO and dumps him over the top rope. Onslaught does the same thing to Brian Williams. They all look at King Chozen.)
HS: "What the hell do they have planned?"
FJ: "I don't know but it's sure to do some damage."
(We see NHL give a running knee to the face of King Chozen, and then Onslaught hits a running boot on him. The crowd begins throwing things in the ring as Brian Stevens steps up to Chozen. Stevens hits Chozen across the skull once with the cane giving a thickening thud heard around the arena. Chozen gets back up, and we see another sickening cane shot across the skull of Chozen. We now hear some people in the crowd booing, others crying. as Chozen continues to get back up. Stevens hits him three straight times with the Cane. We now see Stevens celebrate. Suddenly Chozen gets back up. Stevens, who now looks frustrated, hits him over the head with another Cane shot harder than any other shot he's given someone.)
HS: "You think maybe somebody should stop this?"
FJ: "No, I don't. They're delivering a message to all of those who oppose Damage Inc."
HS: "This is a sick act. Look, Frank. Look at that little eight year old girl. She's crying. Her mom's crying. Hell even her brother is crying. This is one of the sickest things I've ever saw."
(We now see Onslaught and NHL exit the ring. Suddenly Chozen gets back up, and Stevens now Canes him again. Chozen pops back up again and and Stevens hits him again. As we hear the crowd get even louder with the boos. We see a different expression on King Chozen face. Suddenly Stevens realizes that he's pissed off an AWA Legend and he quickly rolls out of the ring, joining NHL and Onslaught at the top of the ramp. We see an expression of fear in the face of Brian Stevens.)
FJ: "Wait Brian. Come back and continue this. I thought this was quite entertaining."
HS: "Frank you make me sick sometimes. I wonder why Stevens is running? He's the one hitting a defenseless man over the head with a cane."
(As EMTs tend to the fallen King Chozen, we cut to yet another video package. We go back in time to all the previous King of the Kage tournament finals. We see Sabotage pinning Lars Fredrickson thanks to the help of Rick Wagner in 2000... Low forcing Drake Hyde to pass out to the Low Profile in 2001... Black Dragon climbing out of the cage as Ian Hensley looks on in 2002... Drake Hyde using his last ounce of strength to push aside a broken table and pin Nightmist in 2003... Jeff Christianson hitting his High Death from the top of the cell onto Michael Stevens and Haunt hitting a super brainbuster to defeat Brian Williams in 2004... then the AWA World title belt appears on our screen and we see Low throwing a fit in previously unseen footage as President Gray takes the belt away from him. Finally, we see the brackets of the entire tournament, followed by scenes from each men beating their opponents - Whisper defeating Cynder, Andreas Lasiewicz and Low, and Schizm defeating Jeff Christianson, C-Rock and The Hangman.
(We return to the United Center as "Hail To The Chief" plays again and President Gray walks down the ramp, the World title belt in his hand. He walks around the ring and then takes a seat next to the timekeeper. The camera then focuses on the cell for the first time tonight.)
HS: "This is it, ladies and gentlemen, the cell which is about to hold hell. Just one week ago Whisper and Schizm struck a deal to unite The Carnival and EUD Managment, and tonight they are in a win-win situation, as one of them WILL walk out the new World Heavyweight Champion."
("One Last Scene" by Finger Eleven begins to play and a buzz goes through the crowd as the entrance way begins filling with smoke. As the video plays on the AWAtron, Whisper walks out from the smoke. Halfway down the ramp he drops his trenchcoat. As he reaches the ring, he hops onto it and climbs the ropes on the outside of the ring, before finally making his way into it.)
HS: "Whisper defeated Cynder to qualify for this tournament. He defeated the current United States Champion Andreas Lasiewicz and the seven-time World Champion Low. He is a former Cruiserweight Champion, a former Television Champion, and a former Tag Team Champion. And tonight he may write history."
FJ: "But he had two tough battles tonight, it remains to be seen whether he has the endurance to win this match or not."
(Whisper leans against the ropes, awaiting his opponent. "Daylight Dancer" by Lacuna Coil begins to play and the lights go out. Smoke builds up on the ramp one more time, and after a few moments the silhouette of Schizm makes its way out of the smoke. Strobe lights flash around the arena as Schizm, laughing hysterically, makes his way down the ramp. He slides into the ring and, still laughing, climbs the turnbuckles to take in the crowd's response.)
HS: "Schizm is here to win his first title, and his first title would be the World title – quite an impressive feat. Schizm is one of the fastest rising stars in AWA history, as he joined the AWA just a few months ago. At his second pay-per-view, he main evented. At his third, he has the chance to become the World Champion. He defeated Jeff Christianson to qualify, then he defeated C-Rock, followed by a win over The Hangman. One could argue his day was a little less grueling than Whisper's, but he had to face The Hangman, which is never easy on anyone."
FJ: "The bottom line is this – both men have fought grueling wars here tonight, and whoever ends up the World Champion has earned it!"
(Schizm climbs off the ropes and the two men lock eyes with each other. The arena goes dark and several spotlights focus on the cell, which, to ominous music, is slowly being lowered down over the ring. As it reaches its final position, fireworks go off on the top of it and the crowd erupts in cheers. The lights go back on and the referee calls for the bell.)
FJ: "It's underway!"
HS: "Their eyes have been locked all the time. Yes, they are business associates, but both men have made it clear that they will give it their all should they be pitted against each other."
FJ: "They're starting!"
(Whisper and Schizm have started circling each other, before finally locking up. Although, Schizm has a height and weight advantage, neither man is able to gain an advantage. Suddenly, Schizm puts his foot forward and kicks Whisper's knee, forcing a break and causing Whisper to drop to one knee. Schizm follows up with a series of open handed slaps before going into the ropes. Whisper suddenly explodes, though, and hits the running Schizm with a dropkick to his knee, causing him to drop face first onto the mat. Both men are back up and Whisper Irish whips Schizm and then grounds him with a drop toe hold. Whisper quickly floats over and applies a side headlock.)
HS: "Some classic exchanges to start the match off. And listen to the crowd – the despise either man, but they certainly appreciate good wrestling, and that's what both men have given them throughout the night."
(Schizm is able to work his back up to his feet, but Whisper holds on to the side headlock, even as as Schizm connects with a series of elbows to Whisper's ribs. However, Schizm is finally able to free himself by poking both his thumbs into Whisper's eyes! Schizm starts laughing again as Whisper rubs his eyes. Just as he seems to regain his sight, he is met by a martial arts kick that totally caught him off guard and sends him down. Schizm goes into the ropes, performs a cartwheel and then hits a moonsault on Whisper. He hooks the leg and gets 1..... 2..... and a kick out.)
FJ: "Nice agility from Schizm."
HS: "He did the right thing by hooking Whisper's leg, and while the kick out wasn't particularly strong, Whisper showed great resilience."
(Schizm now goes berserk on Whisper as he just stomps away at Whisper, not aiming at any particular body part and instead just kicking him all over. He covers again, but Whisper kicks out at 1. Both men are back up and Schizm goes into the ropes again. He takes off for a running dropkick, but Whisper apparently had the same idea, as he goes for a front dropkick, and the two men miss each other and land on the mat. Whisper is the first man up, but as he grabs Schizm by the shoulder Schizm spins around and connects with a kick to Whisper's gut, followed by a throat thrust and then finally a front dropkick of his own.)
FJ: "Some strong back and forth action between these two, with Schizm having a slight advantage."
HS: "And look at him laughing again."
(Schizm has erupted into hysterical laughter again. He waits for Whisper to stand up again, then he suddenly starts doing a mime routine! He does the old "I'm trapped behind glass" thing, before touching his body as if he where naked. Suddenly and out of nowhere he pulls a rubber chicken from his attire and slaps it across Whisper's face. Whisper IMMEDIATELY shoots back with a loud slap, then rakes Schizm's eyes and sends him down with an enzugiri.)
HS: "Well, apparently Whisper didn't feel like being entertained right now."
(Whisper pulls Schizm up and Irish whips him into the ropes, but Schizm reverses. He ducks and waits for Whisper, but Whisper counters with a quick swinging neckbreaker. He immediately pulls Schizm to his feet again, hooks his head and hits a swinging DDT. Whisper then climbs to the top rope, waits a few seconds and then launches off to hit a moonsault. He covers and gets 1..... 2..... and a kickout! He starts a discussion with the referee, and the short distraction as all Schizm needs, as he quickly gets up, starts running and then hits a bulldog on Whisper. He then pulls Whisper up and Irish whips him into the corner. He runs towards him and performs another cartwheel, but as he attempts to hit the Running Gag, Whisper ducks, reaches around Schizm and flips him over the top rope and out of the ring.)
HS: "We've seen some good back and forth wrestling here, a change from what we've seen earlier and also from their previous match."
FJ: "Well, yeah, it IS good wrestling, but I hope we will get to see the cell coming into play for a change."
HS: "Well, it might just now."
(As Schizm slowly gets to his feet, Whisper has left the ring and is waiting for Schizm on the apron. As Schizm turns around, Whisper jumps off and hits a huracanrana.)
HS: "Woah! Impressive. Look at the precision of that move within that little space."
(Whisper is now pressing Schizm's head into the cell, but his mask is obviously protecting him. Schizm starts laughing again and it apparently angers Whisper, as he just starts slapping the back of Schizm's head, followed by brutal-looking stomps to the back of the head. He pushes Schizm's face into the cell, and finally we can see a few drops of blood coming out from under Schizm's mask. Whisper wants to pull Schizm up, but suddenly, Whisper's face turns into a grimace and we realize Schizm has held the buzzer in his hand. He then takes the buzzer and pushes it right into Whisper's eyes, causing Whisper to scream in pain!)
HS: "He could steal his sight!"
FJ: "Yeah! I love it!"
(Whisper drops to his knees as Schizm holds on. Suddenly, however, Whisper counters with a low blow, forcing Schizm to release the "hold". He pulls Schizm's legs out from under him and then sets him up for a slingshot. He slingshots him right into the cell, but Schizm is somehow able to hold on to it like Spiderman! Whisper doesn't realize it yet, but as he does, Schizm jumps off the cell and hits a huracanrana of his own.)
HS: "More high flying, more agility, more precision work."
(Schizm has pulled Whisper up and now whips him into the ring steps, creating a loud thud. Schizm then kicks the upper part off the steps and positions the lower part exactly between the ring and the cell. He hooks Whisper's head, lifts him up in a vertical position and then drops him face first onto the steps.)
FJ: "The Shattered Mirror!"
HS: "And Whisper has been busted open!"
(Blood now flows freely from Whisper's forehead as he is still lying on the lower part of the steps. Schizm has lifted the upper part up and sends it crashing down on the Whisper's back, sandwiching him between both parts of the steps. Whisper appears to be unconscious as Schizm does his best to roll him back into the ring. Schizm follows him and covers..... 1..... 2..... kickout. Schizm rolls out of the ring as Whisper is trying to recuperate. Schizm looks under the ring and pulls out a chair, followed by a table. He puts the table up on the outside of the ring, then slides back into it with the chair in hand. As Whisper is on all fours, Schizm takes a swing and nails Whisper across the back. He does so a second time, and a third time, before dropping the chair. He starts stomping Whisper again, forcing him to roll onto his back. Schizm then climbs to the top rope, looks into the crowd and jumps off with the kamikaze headbutt, but Schizm was able to grab the chair and just throws it at Schizm, hitting him in midair and causing him to come crashing down onto the mat.)
FJ: "That had to hurt!"
HS: "And Schizm is rolling around the mat, holding his face and... laughing!?!?"
(Both men are slowly making it back to their feet. Whisper has grabbed the chair and as Schizm turns around Whisper swings the chair at him and hits him across the head. Schizm falls between the ropes and out of the ring, conveniently rolling onto the table that he had put up himself outside the ring. Whisper starts running and jumps onto the top rope, the chair put in front of his chest. He jumps off and comes down with the shooting star sacrifice to the outside and through the table! Splinters fly through the air as Schizm is put through the table, but we could see Whisper hitting his knees on the ring apron.)
FJ: "That didn't look good at all."
HS: "No, it didn't. Whisper is holding his knees, both men are down."
(Whisper, however, is the first man back up. He pulls Schizm up, grabs him by the head and then smashes him face first into the cell, and again, and again, and again. He then puts up one of the remaining parts of the table's side, applies a half nelson on Schizm and then sends him down and face first through the table with a facebuster. Whisper then grabs another piece of wood and pushes it into Schizm's left eye!)
FJ: "Payback's a bitch!"
HS: "If they're not careful they can join The Hangman among the blind elite!"
(Whisper finally drops the piece of wood and then rolls Schizm back into the ring. He climbs to the top rope and comes off with a shooting star press, but Schizm is able to pull up his legs and Whisper lands right onto Schizm's knees. As both men are down, a buzz goes through the crowd. The camera focuses on the ramp and we see Justin, Andreas Lasiewicz and Cynder making their way down the ramp.)
FJ: "The Carnival along with Justin are here!"
HS: "It seems as if they want to witness their crowning moment in person."
(They all stop in front of the cell and start clapping their hands, encouraging both men to get up and continue the match. Both men slowly make it back up, but it is obvious both men are very exhausted from this night's matches. They are up almost simultaneously. Whisper takes action first as he kicks Schizm into the gut, doubling him over. He hooks his head and his arms and goes for his version of the pedigree, but Schizm backdrops out of it. He connects with a gut kick of his own and then lifts Whisper up to hit the Last Laugh. He connects and then covers Whisper to get the 1..... 2..... 3! No! Kickout! Schizm is quick to grab Whisper's leg, going for the Joker's Folly, but Whisper is able to kick him off and into the turnbuckle. He nips up, grabs the stumbling Schizm and hits a fisherman's DDT. Whisper covers and gets 1..... 2..... and a kickout! Whisper pulls Schizm up and then Irish whips him into the corner. He follows him and spins him around, climbing to the top rope himself. He attempts to get Schizm onto the ropes as well, but Schizm struggles free with a series of fists to Whisper's stomach and head. He then climbs out onto the apron.)
FJ: "Another high impact move and this could be over, Herb."
HS: "Absolutely. Fatigue is setting in and both men have given it their all tonight."
(Schizm jumps onto the top next to Whisper and goes for the Pinnacle of Folly, but Whisper holds on and Schizm crashes back first onto the mat. Whisper climbs over the top rope and then down onto the mat. He picks up the chair and slides back into the ring. As Schizm gets to his feet, Whisper swings at him and nails him across the head. Whisper covers Schizm and gets the 1..... 2..... and a kickout! Whisper doesn't waste any time, however, and pulls Schizm up. He puts Schizm's head between his legs, hooks his arms and hits the Eavesdrop! He covers and gets 1..... 2..... and another kickout! Whisper picks up the chair again and now starts smashing away at Schizm's legs. Schizm starts laughing as he holds his legs. Whisper then throws the chair to the outside, picks up Schizm's leg, spins around and applies his other finisher."
FJ: "Jawohl, ihr Ungläubigen, es gibt kein Entweichen! Zuerst der Stuhl, jetzt kein Entweichen!"
HS: "What have you just said?"
FJ: "Kein Entweichen!"
(The rest of The Carnival looks on as Whisper pulls back on Schizm's legs. Schizm is still laughing, but this only encourages Whisper to apply even more pressure. Schizm tries to grab the ropes, but he is too far away from them. Finally, Schizm has no choice but to tap out! We have a new World Heavyweight Champion!)
FJ: "It's over!"
HS: "We have a brand new AWA World Heavyweight Champion! Whisper has made it all the way through the tournament and he is now the World Champion!"
(Whisper releases the hold as "One Last Scene" begins to play. The cell is being lifted up as Justin, Lasiewicz and Cynder are sliding into the cage, looking after both of their stablemates. President Gray is entering the ring as well, the World title belt in his hand. As Whisper finally makes it to his feet, Gray reaches out and the two men shake hands. Gray then hands the belt over to Whisper, who just looks at it.)
FJ: "The Carnival and EUD Inc. now control the two top titles in this company, Herb."
HS: "I am sure we are in for interesting times with Whisper as the new AWA World Heavyweight Champion. But remembering President Gray's words I can only wonder how busy Whisper, Lasiewicz, Poppa, Rourke and Bad Blood will be in the upcoming weeks."
FJ: "Whatever it is, Herb, Whisper has proven himself to be worthy of the AWA World title after all. What an impressive showing."
HS: "AWA fans, make sure you tune in to Xplosion and Shock to find out where AWA World Champion Whisper is headed. Man, what a night..."
(Whisper and Schizm shake hands in the middle of the ring, as Whisper drapes the belt over his shoulder. Suddenly, he looks towards the entrance, where Low is standing, nodding and clapping his hands. Whisper nods as well, then holds up the belt as the copyright logo appears.)
