, he's trying to kill them all Herb. Quade deSade has gone suicidal and I think he may have succeeded ... can we get somebody in there and check that out?'
HS: "Cynder was caught in that collapse as well but at this time referee Stu Abbott has still not called this match off!"
(Wolf pack cameramen hover around the site of tangled metal, smashed wooden planking,
their came lights crisscrossing each other confusing the scene from their various angels
as they compete to transmit the fate of Quade deSade and Cynder.)
(Out on the other staircase Jeff Christianson releases his grip and drops, spinning and
twisting Prince Rawstarr backwards and off of the stairs case via a set of Spinning Head
Scissors. Rawstarr is sent flying, bouncing off of the short landing and crashing down
the stairs below which lead to the entrance. Jeff tries rolling with the fall in the
confined space but slams hard in to one of the scaffold post supporting the central
stairwell.)
(Camera Crews hover around Jeff Christiasnon and Prince Rawstarr while other search
through the wreckage of the collapse metal frame for Quade deSade and Cynder when a masses dark hulk crashes its way through the woflpack and in amongst the debris where it starts pulling poles and cross-beams throwing here and there with out care almost hitting a few of the mercenary cameramen s he digs down to recover a near unconscious body.)
HS: "Who is that, I can't tell!?"
FJ: "We have EMT's trying to get past Rawstarr and up to that level where Cynder and Quade deSdae fell through two level of the scaffold which support the Ameritron which is showing our fans here in Caesar's Palace every piece of action thanks to the fearlessness of the Wolfpack camera crew going in to harms way and on to dangerous ground!"
HS: "I hope Gray has his lawyers handy because I smell lawsuit for the unsafe working conditions back there!?'
FJ: "I wouldn't be surprised if Quade and his brother didn't set this all up before their match!?"
HS: "Are you saying The Christiasnon Foundation cheated!?'
FJ: "Three against two Herb; its called evening the odds!"
HS: "I think the odds have just tipped in the CF's favour because Jeff Christianson is making his way up those stairs and straight for Draven Shadows, the last man standing out of the NPD/Cynder alliance!"
(Quade deSade's face appear in the beam of a Wolfpack camera as Draven stalk out of the
mess and on to the clear area of the central stairwell where he come face to face with
Jeff Christiasnon who doesn't break stride as he hammer a closed fist into his face.
Draven's rocked as Jeff moves in , the pair of them and the barely lucid deSade scattering
the camera men. Draven launches an attack from out of the shadows as Christianson is
momentarily blinded by a camera light, Jeff doubles over from a kick to his midsection.
Draven laughs and charges in for the Big Boot but suddenly stops almost like he is jerked
to halt. The camera follows Draven's gaze behind him to show deSade holding on to a post
with both hands, Draven snarls.)
FJ: "Oh no."
(Draven turns and gets under Quade lifting him high then power bombs him into the wooden
floor almost putting The Fiery Cross through it. Jeff Christianson steps in behind Draven
and hooks his arms around Draven's midsection and pulls him back with a Belly-to-Back
Suplex that almost catches Rawstarr as he himself reaches the top step. Rawstarr reaches
down and pulls Jeff to his feet and lands a couple of forearm smashes and is answered by
Jabs from Christianson before The Dark Warrior uses the advantage of higher ground to
drive a High Knee into Rawstarr's face.)
(Rawstarr is able to control his fall by grabbing on to the railing and starts back up the
stirs as Draven also gets to his feet, caught between them Jeff presses the attack and
starts laying down a hail of Knife Edged Chops. A Spinning Heel Kick drives Rawstarr back
and Christiasnon takes a heavy, clubbing blow that drives him down on to a knee, but Draven is denied as he is Low Blowed by The Dark Warrior who turns in time to face off against Rawstarr who gains the tops step but is denied as he lifts himself using the railings
like parallel bars to strike at Christianson with an Ezugiri; Jeff grapples with Rawstarr
pulling off balance and slamming him into the nearest pole before slamming into the bridge
of Rawstarr's' nose with his head. Draven rises up n Jeff's other side and grabs a hold of
Jeff's throat wit a choke grapple. Another hand comes out of the darkness and stops Draven
from lifting Jeff up in to a Choke Slam. Quade's face comes into view sharing the close up
with the Jeff and Draven. He smiles a cold, crocodile as he looks into both their faces
and asks "Did you miss me?")
HS: "Oh frak."
(Jeff takes a step back and slaps Draven with as much disrespect as possible in a single
strike. Draven, anger goes after Jeff but deSdae keeps his hold even as his brother jogs a
couple of steps further back. Draven spins on a heel and tries to nail deSade with a
forearm smash, Quade ducks and Draven is caught by the follow through coming face to
face with Jeff again and he charges. Jeff charges too and collides with Draven with a
Running Knee Lift just as Quade deSade dives in behind Draven with a Knee Clip and Draven spins backwards, head over heels and slams awkwardly in to the platform.)
HS: "A High/Low from The Christianson Foundation!!"
FJ: "They can make all the claims about not being a tag team dammit but that was as fine a double team as any I have every witnessed!!'
HS: "That was three hundred pounds spinning under the momentum of it's own weight and gravity denying Draven Shadows even the slightest mercy!"
(In the meantime three Wolf Pack camera relay the scene as Cynder pushes free of the collapsed scaffolding that held him pinned. A large gash is bleeding down the side of his jaw and that same side of his face is heavily bruised as are his upper arms. Cynder hawks then spits before getting to his feet. As he passes through the cameras a sharp, angry intensity is captured as he makes his way towards The Christianson Foundation.)
(Quade barely gets any warning as Cynder charges in hammering a Kidney Punch into his back. Quade winces, the pain obvious in his body as every muscle tenses and he fights not to dropfrom the strike. Cynder doesn't rest on his laurels and Irish Whips deSdae back towards the wreckage as Rawstarr charges catching Jeff in his midsection lifts him over into a Back Body Drop. Cynder grabs deSdae by the throat but is denied the Choke Slam when Quade reaches up and grabs an over head bean and slams a Double Knee Lift into Cynder, the close proximity of the two softens the impact but pushes Cynder backwards. Jeff Christianson trolls out of the way of a stomp aimed at his head but nearly fall from the platform allowing Rawstarr to hook and arm around Christianson's head from behind, Rawstarr the starts hammering home a steady beats of Punches as the fans watching the Ameritron count along the 10-count. Cynder snatches up a length of the scaffold and swings forcing Quade to back up through the unsafe area they both fell onto earlier. Cynder swings again and Quade side steps to put a pole between him and Cynder and the pipe clangs heavily off of the upright like a bell tolling. Cynder almost drops the pole from the reverb conducted down the four-foot length allowing Quade to pick up a pipe of his own. Quade steps up to Cynder and lifts his own to deter Cynder only to find that his scaffold pipe is barley two and a half feet long. Cynder smile in mockery as he raise is own, larger piece.)
(Quade steps in as Cynder swings and holding his pipe vertical in both hands Quade blocks
the blow and Headbutts Cynder; Quade shifts grips and uses the end to 'rifle-but' Cynder
in his forehead then in his midsection. Quade steps back and lines up a golf swing with
his pipe, stops and tosses the pile top the side before moving in on Cynder.)
(Jeff Christianson suffers the punches and fight his way back on to the platform and in to
a side headlock which Rawstarr uses to drive Jeff's face first into the nearest railing;
Rawstarr releases Jeff Christianson and waits, he turns and hammers home an Inverted Knee to Jeff's Groin and garbs his head again. Raswstarr goes for the Raw Footage but Dark Warriors arm wrapped around the same railing he was driven into saves him from the full
effect of Rawstarr's Raw Footage. Jeff pulls Rawstarr to vertical base the drops him in to
a Jaw Breaker and the two collapse. Quade steps in over the both of them and stands over
Draven. He waits for a moment, his impassive. He looks up into the eves of the metal frame
then down at Shadows before he slaps him a number of time until his ex-tag team partner
comes to. Quade backs up to the stairs waiting until Draven sees him. Quade smiles a cold, crocodile smile then slowly and casually climbs the stairs higher in the scaffold behind the Ameritron. In spite of the opportunity hate for deSade draws him on and away from Dark
Warrior and after Quade deSade.)
(Wolfpack cameramen follow both men as the climb higher in to the scaffold with a third
tilting up from a stairwell to stop and focus on The Iron Maiden.)
(Draven reaches the top step and stops as if expecting Quade's attack. But it doesn't come, he turns and sees a figure silhouetted against the light of the Caesars' Palace arena.
A spotlight from behind the figure suddenly flares in to life and blinds Draven Shadows.
Draven staggers away looking for something to steady himself in and he does. Draven holds
on to a pole as he tries to clear his sight only to have Quade stomp on it with a high boot.
Quade drives a Heart Punch into Draven's chest, Quade steps forward and hits Draven with a Heart Kick that staggers him. Draven is barely standing, shoulders slumped, his arms
hanging limply from his shoulders. Quade moves in fast, both hands around Draven's throat
as he backs him up against the Maiden and lifts. Draven's feet clear the floor as Quade
presses the Chokehold as spittle sprays from an enraged face. The cameramen circle the
pair, zooming in to relay the drama of this confrontation. Quade's lips are moving but the
words are lost among the cheering and chanting of an electrified crowd standing on its feet.)
(The split screen of The Ameritron shows the action not only between Draven and Quade but lower down the scaffold as Jeff Christianson keeps both Cynder and Rawstarr at bay with
the same pipe Cynder tried to use on Quade only minutes earlier. Sparks fly out as Jeff
near misses Cynder. Wolf pack cameramen dodge in and out between the three men who dance around each other. Cynder and Rawstarr look for the opening but with his back to the stair case leading up Jeff Christianson dares them to come just a little closer.)
HS: "I don't if this is a plan, I cannot say if this is what The Christianson Foundation planned from the start. But Draven is up there somewhere between Quade deSade and a very hard woman, The Maiden!"
FJ: "If Jeff doesn't know what's going on up there I'll eat your hat Herb!"
HS: "Jeff Christianson seems to have drawn a line in the sand against Cynder and Rawstarr. The Question is can deSade finish his business in time to back his brother up against these two!?"
(Quade drops Draven and suddenly slams his head into the Maiden. The shock of the blow
stuns Draven. Quade pulls Draven clear and lets him stumble around as he opens the Iron
Maiden. Turning on Draven, Quade pulls Draven up and down in to an Atomic Drop. Draven's face is a mask of agony as the cameraman moves in too close and catches a backhand from Quade. Quade lifts the camera and starts to move towards the other cameraman. Quade throws it and it smashes off of the scaffolding.)
(From his vantage point the wolf pack cameraman observes as Quade shoves Draven one time into the Maiden and slams 'Her' shut on him. Quade leans against the Maiden, his breathing ragged and heavy. Quade pushes against the Maiden and it moves.)
FJ: "Holy Jesus Christ she's moving. Quade has set up his girlfriend on coasters or something and she is moving. Oh God ... no."
HS: "What my colleague is trying to say ..."
("Forsaken" by Disturbed begins to play as a cross on its side is shown and then the words
Unholy Hero flash. Fire surrounds the top of the Ameritron. The crowd cheers..)
FJ: "What the f...!?!?"
HS: "Draven Shadows' entrance music has just fired up but he is locked in Quade's Maiden so how or who is making their entrance!?"
(Suddenly, thirty-five feet above the assembled faithful of the American Wrestling Alliance
gathered in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas for No More Drama .... The Ameritron explodes.)
FJ: "......"
HS: "..."
(A curtains of blue-white searing hot electrical fire and sparks is thrown from the screen
of the massive video wall. Glass and cables fall to the stage and the ramp. And something
flies from out of the inferno and down into that metal grating of the ramp where is
smashes through sending the debris from the Ameritron back in to the air along with pieces
of the steel grating that forms the ramp.)
(The Fiery Cross moves in to the gaping hole he punched through just moment ago.
Surrounded by fire Quade deSade screams out to the shrieking and terrified crowd,
eventually his words are heard by a boom mic.)
Quade deSade: "This is the really real world. Draven and there ain't no coming back. We killed you dead, there ain't no coming back! There ain't no coming back! There ain't no coming back!"
(Rawstarr and Cynder are back at the ring watching all of this happen. Both Cynder and Rawstarr looked at one another stunned. Quade and Jeff come out from the explosion of the tron. Both men are battered and look at the two remaining memebers of the NPD/Cynder combanation. Cynder slides out of the ring and races up to Quade as Rawstarr waits for Jeff in the ring. Quade brings Cynder over to the announcers tables. Jeff and Rawstarr brawl until Jeff quickly ducks a punch and grabs Rawstarr's ankle and locks in a modified side version of his grapevine ankle lock. Quade lifts Cynder up in a suplex and puts him through a table. Quade and Cynder lay in the rubble of the table not wanting to move because of their bodies being in so much pain. Rawstarr taps out from the pain of the ankle lock. The ref calls for the bell.)
Hs: "Thats it this unholy match is over. The battle between the NPD and Christionson Foundation is over!"
FJ: "..."
HS: "Someone try and find Draven Shadows! He's probably dying in there! Someone get him out!"
("Kingdom Come" hits the PA system as Jeff is met by his brother, Quade, in the middle of the ring as they celebrate. They both look up at the wreckage of the Ameritron's destruction and what they think to be the end of Draven Shadows.)
HS: "What a blood bath! What mayhem!"
FJ: "Lives have been altered forever because of this match, Herb! So has our Ameritron!"
HS: "We'll have our AWA Production Staff working feverishly to repair the damage AND clean this mess up. Let's step away for a minute and get another word in from tonight's sponsor UNDER ARMOR!!!"
(We take in yet another Under Armor commercial this time shown with AWA talent throughout working out in Under Armor gear. We see Low, Brian Stevens, Evan Heir, Jeff Christianson, Jason Storm and Logan Alexander all sweating and training in their Under Armor gear.)
(We come back and we are backstage with Mark Keller.)
HS: "Welcome back to No More Drama, LIVE on Pay Per View from Caeser's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada! Mark Keller is standing by backstage with the latest on the Maria Clarke-Evan Heir situation."
MARK KELLER: "Thanks guys. I just got off the phone with Evan Heir's agent. No one from his camp will confirm or deny whether or not he'll be able to make it here tonight or not. Evan IS in Las Vegas, but with Maria Clarke giving birth, Evan won't leave her side until she successfully gives birth. We'll have more news on this story as soon as we have it, guys."
(We go back to ringside with Frank and Herb.)
HS: "Thanks, Mark. You can also follow this story online at AWA_Online!"
(The camera shot returns to the ring where a wrestler Joe Cool - is already present for the next match of No More Drama when a blue "fireball" shoots from the lights and hits the stage. A blue pyro shoots up from around the stage and "Rebel Yell" by Dope hits the PA system. The crowd cheers as Tyler Harrison and Mary walk out through the smoke that the pyro has left. Tyler turns to Mary at the top of the ramp and kisses her passionately before the two walk down through the O-Tunnel, arm in arm. Tyler lets go of Mary's arm before they reach the ring. He slaps the hands of some fans before he steps back with a running start and jumps onto the ring apron. He sits down on the middle rope and pushes up the top one. Mary climbs up onto the apron. She gives Tyler a kiss on the cheek and then removes his sunglasses, putting them on her shirt, between her cleavage as she steps into the ring. Tyler steps into the ring as well and forms a "T" with his vertical left arm in a fist and his horizontal right arm in a fist as well. He hops onto the turnbuckles and rolls his shoulders, allowing his jacket to fall back. Mary takes it and puts it on herself, smiling as Tyler hops down from the turnbuckles and waits for his opponent while Mary exits the ring.)
FJ: "Well alright what we have here is a fight for the No Limits contedership between Joe Cool and Tyler Harrison!"
HS: "This is a hell of a move away from his tag team partnership that with his brother Evan Heir!"
FJ: "Evan Heir held gold in that team Herb and that had to have rubbed Tyler all sorts of wrong ways and after the poor outing against The Christianson Foundation then the forced tag team that had both Raswstarr and Jeff Christianson. Tyler Harrison is carry a really big chip on his shoulder as he shoots for a shot against Onslaught and his No Limits belt!"
(Referee Stu Abbott calls Cool and Harrison and lays down his rules of engagement, then sends them back to their respective corners.)
HS: "There is the bell and the contenders spot for the No Limits championship is on the line.)
(Joe Cool steps in, shakes off the grapple from Tyler and starts smacking him with Face Punches that stop him dead in the middle of the ring; Cool collides with Tyler via a Full Force Body Push that sends him backwards towards the ropes and chases after to connect with a Roundhouse Kick; Tyler does hit the ropes and allows the momentum to carry him backwards over the top rope while he holds on and Cool heel sings inches over had as Tyler touches down on the apron. It takes Tyler a moment to steady himself but Cool hops out from his missed kick and charges in threatening another Body Push from the side of the apron only to a Super kick from Tyler than almost knock him on his butt; Tyler again grabs the top rope with both hands and hops on to it for a springboard in to the ring and hammer Cool to the mat with a Back Elbow. Tyler hooks a leg for a cover and referee Stu Abbott slides in to strike a 'One! .. Two1..)
FJ: "Joe Cool kicks out but Tyler Harrison is bringing him to his feet and putting him in a corner. Cool looks to be reeling from Tyler's Springboard Back Elbow and I have to say that Tyler is taking control of this match!"
(Tyler wraps Cools arm around the top rope and stars dropping his elbow in to Joe Cool's exposed upper arm. The ref steps in and pulls Tyler away allow Cool to stumble clear of the trap, Tyler shoves past the ref and hits a Kick top Cool's Gutt and grabs the arm again and twists it up in a Half Nelson lock.)
HS: "This match is all Tyler Harrison. Joe Cool was stopped in a split second of over confidence and Tyler has taken the advantage and control from his opponent!"
(Joe Cool is DDTed from the Half Nelson, and the crowd cheers Tyler on as he steps back from the floored Joe Cool.)
(Tyler mount the turnbuckle and balances up above the ring allowing the fans to edge him on.)
HS: "Tyler with a Double-Knee Shooting Star Press!!"
FJ: "Joe Cool is a man in a world of hurt right now. Tyler Harrison trying prove something to the whole roster with that move and he is paying for it!"
HS: "Tyler has the motive and the opportunity to steal the contedership spot from Joe Cool all he has to do is fight through the pain and make the pin but. It's all Tyler right now and the fans here in Las Vegas are all behind him!!"
(Tyler comes to his knees and reaches to grab and roll Cool. )
FJ: "There's the pin and we have a contender!"
HS: "No!"
(Cool get s a shoulder clear and Tyler surges to his feet and stomps hard down on Cool more out of spite than strategy. Cool is brought to his fee and strikes fore arms smash on Tyler; Tyler steps in and Hip Tosses Cool back to the mat.)
HS: "Tyler is stalking Cool, and Tyler looks like he has this match all sewn up!"
(As Coo, gets to his feet he doubles over as he tries to fight through the pain caused by Tyler Harrison; Tyler steps around to his side and jumps dropping both of his knees on to Cool's spine. Tyler grabs Cool's hair and the waistband of his pants and yanks back to drop to the mat. Cool is pulled from his feet sideway and down hard on to Tyler's knees.)
FJ "It's All Systems Go for Tyler Harrison's No limits title shot!!!"
(Tyler lets Cool drop and he quickly rolls him and hooks his leg in to pin. Referee Stu Abbot comes in and counts out 'One !.... Two ! .... Three!!!)
HS: "Tyler Harrison wins a spot to face Onslaught and the contenders spot for the American Wrestling Alliance's No Limits Championship!"
FJ: "NICE win for Tyler Harrison tonight especially after the run-in with AC Smith earlier in the night!"
HS: "I'm getting word from the AWA Production crew that the AWA Ameritron IS up and running again and we should see it come back on during the next match."
FJ: "Go team. Good work."
HS: "Let's go backstage once again to Mark Keller, who I believe has MORE on the developing Evan Heir story."
(We head backstage and again we are joined by Mark Keller in the interview area.)
MK: "Thanks, Herb. I have been told by multiple sources close to the situation that Maria Clarke HAS given birth to twin boys in the last few minutes. It was unclear to me if Evan Heir has or has not left her side, but one needs to wonder what position this puts the AWA in."
FJ: "How so, Keller?"
MK: "Do you fill in Evan's slot with an unbooked talent like newcomer Rico George London a man who will make his debut next week on Shock? Or do you let Evan fight if and when he gets here in the emotional state he's in?"
HS: "He'd almost be a liability."
MK: "Exactly. However, one thing is certain the AWA has a tough call to make. We'll have more on this story throughout the night and you can follow it through the website at AWA_Online."
HS: "Great stuff as always, Mark."
(We go back to rinside.)
HS: "Hell On Earth continues with perhaps the most anticipated return of any single superstar in the American Wrestling Alliance's history. TONIGHT, we bare witness to the return of the single most dominant World Champion to ever grace this organization. Tonight, the Strong Style Legend is BACK! Tonight, "The Sensational" Brian Stevens returns to the AWA and takes his first step towards his re-establishing his dominance!"
FJ: "Will four months away from active competition destroy the grandiose return of the Punk Rock Phenom that's the real question as far as I'm concerned."
HS: "And alongside his best friend and AWA No Limits Champion Onslaught Brian Stevens wages war against The Administration! Collectively known as the Twin Cities Terrors, Brian Stevens and Onslaught take on Travis Gray's handpicked successors to the AWA Tag Team Division they face The Walters."
(We see a graphic overtake our screen of both teams both striking dramatic poses. The TWIN CITIES TERRORS on the right; THE WALTERS w/ DEBBIE STONE on the left.)
HS: "Brian Stevens took his wrongful termination from this company very, very personally..."
FJ: "...as well he should have..."
HS: "Instead of sulking or simply dreaming of revenge against The Legendary Low, Brian Stevens opted to take action. He went and made himself better he rediscovered himself and completely immersed himself in the sport. He trained in the dojo's of Japan; not only with Pro Wrestling JAPAN, but Brian Stevens re-established his relationship with Keiko Ono's Great Japan Pro Wrestling."
FJ: "Not only that, but Brian Stevens spent time in Brazil working with the top names in Mixed Martial Arts that's bad news for ANYONE who crosses Stevens if his game remained intact. It's bad news because Brian Stevens was already the most deadly striker in the sport imagine how much better he is now after all of THIS!"
(We go back ringside and rejoin Frank and Herb.)
HS: "The time is now! The moment the AWA fans have clamored for since his termination by the hands of Low is upon us! The Twin Cities Terrors versus The Walters with Debbie Stone is NEXT!"
(All but a few of the lights shut off, and the few that remain on become a deep purple. A few flash back on in unison with a sudden thunder-clap.)
Would you mind if I hurt you?
Understand that I need to
Wish that I had other choices
Than to harm the one I love
(The lights shut off completely. For a brief moment, all is quiet.)
What have you done now?
(There is an explosion, and all the lights blink on and off, still with deep purple. Tracy and Ricky both come out, raising their arms high before walking over to each other and giving each other a quick high-five and a brief hug before starting down the ramp. From behind them walks Debbie Stone with a devilish smirk spread across her lips.)
I know I'd better stop trying
You know that there's no denying
I won't show mercy on you now
I know I should stop believing
I know that there's no retrieving
(The two men continue down the ramp, either ignoring or flipping off their many detractors. Debbie Stone stays in stride with them, grinning approvingly of their fan interaction'. They both hop on the ring apron, grasping the top rope.)
It's over now
What have you done?
(Both men hesitate for this brief moment that the music pauses, as if paused in mid-motion, the lights going back to a solid purple.)
What have you done now?
(Both men immediately hop into the ring and mount the the turnbuckles closest to them respectively. The lights resume flashing, but this time white is thrown in with the purple.)
I, I've been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
Why, Why does fate make us suffer
There's a curse between us
Between me and you
(They get down and immediately walk across the ring to the opposite turnbuckles.)
What have you done?
What have you done now?
What have you done ?
What have you done now?
(Both men step off the ropes and give each other a fist to the shoulder before turning to wait for their opponents.)
HS: "Trained by Lance Storm and brought into the AWA by former AWA World Champion, Jason Storm The Walters have been a legitimate THREAT to anyone who's crossed them since their rise to prominence."
FJ: "Tonight, they need to fight THEIR fight. The Walters need to bounce back from their embarrassing loss from last week on Shock when BOTH brothers where pinned clean, center-ring by Onslaught in a handicap match."
HS: "With Debbie Stone in their corner the ex-fiancι of Onslaught the Walters will almost assuredly be a more focused team."
FJ: "Oh, that goes without saying."
HS: "However, they are dealing with the reigning No Limits Champion and the most frightening thing in the AWA a pissed-off hell-bent-on-revenge Brian Stevens."
("Saves The Day" by Atmosphere hits over the arena PA and the lights in the arena slowly die out. The entrance way is overtaken with solid, random colors that change at the beat of the snare drum. It isn't long before the AWA No Limits Champion Onslaught walks out from the back, bobbing his head to the beat of the song. Onslaught doesn't halt at the top of the ramp, instead, the big man heads directly down the ramp for the ring.)
HS: "For months, Onslaught has carried that AWA No Limits Championship with pride and has become a fixture in the No Limits division, Frank."
FJ: "Sadly, he's also become one of the longest reigning AWA No Limits Champions of all times. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN!? It's freakin' Onslaught, Summers this ain't Drake Hyde or Mortis Valley we're talking about!"
HS: "Passion, drive and focus all played HUGE into what made Onslaught the beast he is today."
(Onslaught reaches the bottom of the ramp and walks up the ring steps to the apron. Onslaught unstraps the No Limits Championship from around his waist before he steps up and over the top rope, into the ring. Onslaught walks the ring in the square, holding the belt up with his arm nearest the fans, displaying his first ever AWA Championship.)
HS: "Tonight, Onslaught and Brian Stevens team up together for the first time in years. In the AWA, the duo haven't teamed since 2006 when they beat The Fish and Orlando Ortega. The last time they teamed together was again in 2006 when they flew to Pro Wrestling JAPAN and defeated Kanji Koshinaka and Taiyo Marafuji in a match that took place on New Year's Eve."
FJ: "It's been about a year and a half since they teamed. That'll hurt them."
HS: "They've been training with one another they're entire careers and they're lifelong best friends. Something tells me they'll be just fine, Frank."
(Onslaught hands the belt off to the referee and finds his corner. The fans start to buzz...they grow restless.)
CROWD: "STEVENS! STEVENS! STEVENS! STEVENS!"
(The lights in the arena slowly - one by one - die out until the is nothing; just darkness. A buzz falls over the rabid audience that cuts through the unnerving stillness like a knife. Finally - suddenly - the pulsating intro of "Into the Blinding Light" by Thursday hits and the fans go crazy. With every pulse of the song's intro, a series of bright blinding white lights flash in time. Violently, the songs pulsating intro kicks into the hammering of guitars as wind and smoke chaotically collect, swirl and clash on the entrance stage.)
(From the "O" tunnel, we see a figure emerge from the mayhem. It's "The Sensational" Brian Stevens - the most dominant AWA World Champion in the history of the AWA. With the hood on his ring jacket up, the Punk Rock Phenom finds his way center stage amidst the smoke and wind. The fans go nuts for Stevens; chanting his name in deafening unison. The unzipped ring jacket flaps wildly in the wind as Stevens stands and soaks in the atmosphere between the boisterous, vocal fans and the on-stage calamity.)
(Finally, Stevens throws back the hood on his ring jacket and steps forth from the smoke and wind on the entrance stage. Brian Stevens walks steady and determined towards the ring in a strong, powerful stride. Stevens ignores the fans. He simply reaches the bottom of the ramp and slides into the ring. The flashing with lights - almost strobe-like - surround and overtake the ring as Stevens rises up from the mat and to a knee. The Strong Style Legend remains on his knee with his left arm rested low upon his left thigh as he keeps his head lowered, almost in some sort of prayer or ritual.)
(Finally, Stevens pops up off his knee and gets up to his feet as - simultaneously - the lights in the arena return to normal. Brian hits all four sides of the ring, screaming and playing to the fans as - each time - he balances on the center of the middle rope. Brian Stevens finally ends his pandering and finds his corner, removing his ring jacket and patiently waiting for the bell.)
HS: "You can call him what you want the Punk Rock Phenom, the Strong Style Legend or simply Sensational! He is Brian Stevens and he may very well be the best this sport has ever seen...AND HE'S BACK!"
(Suddenly, streamers FLOOD the ring! Black, white & gold streamers come from every direction until the ring is covered. Stevens relishes in the moment while Debbie Stone, from across the ring, is going MENTAL screaming and shouting obscenities at both Onslaught and Stevens.)
HS: "He's the former two-time AWA World Heavyweight Champion the most dominant World Champion of all time! He went nearly a full calendar year in 2007 without being pinned or submitted! He's is the man who has proclaimed that he will win the 2008 King of the Kage tournament! He's the butcher! The bastard! The anti-hero! The man who has sworn to bleed Low dry Brian F'ing Stevens!"
(Stagehands and Production Assistants rush to the ring and start yanking the paper streamers out from the ring. Referee Jonathan Linden starts kicking the streamers out from the center of the ring until most of it is out of the way. Debbie Stone marches center ring and challenges Stevens herself. Stevens chuckles as he cockily walks to the center of the ring.)
FJ: "Debbie...get the hell out of there, you goddamn crazy broad!"
HS: "This is ill-advised."
FJ: "Gah...YOU THINK!?"
CROWD: "YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR FUCKING HEAD KICKED IN! YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR FUCKING HEAD KICKED IN! YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR FUCKING HEAD KICKED IN!"
(Stevens looks at Debbie, imploring her to listen to the fans. Her eyes widen and her screaming becomes more and more bitter and expletive-filled. Finally, Stevens rolls his eyes and attempts to back away from Debbie...bad idea. SMACK! Debbie bitchslaps Stevens! Stevens rubs his jaw and smiles perversely.)
FJ: "RUN, CRAZY BITCH! RUN!"
(The crowd is basically begging Stevens to lay her out...but he doesn't. Stevens takes another step at Debbie and her hand comes flying for Stevens' face one more time only this time her ex-fiance steps in and grabs her by the wrist! Onslaught looks down at Debbie and tells her that ain't ever gonna happen again, girl.')
(Suddenly, the Walters rush out of their corner and both connect with running double axe handles! Both Stevens and Onslaught stagger as Debbie leaves the ring.)
DING! DING! DING!
(Stevens and Onslaught are getting pounded in opposite corners Stevens by Ricky and O by Tracy. Both are lighting up their respective member of the Twin Cities Terrors with a flurry of wild punches. Finally, both Stevens and Onslaught push the Walters off of them and rush out of the corner! Stevens DRILLS Ricky with a leaping European Uppercut and Onslaught lays out Tracy with a clothesline! The fans go nuts as the Walters pop back up and get laid right back down with the same maneuver. Both roll to the outside and Stevens quickly is slingshoted into the ropes and hits a NASTY Tope Con Hilo onto both Walters on the outside. Stevens pops right back up and the fans go nuts!)
HS: "Tope Con Hilo by perhaps the most exciting wrestler in the game!"
FJ: "DAMN! Homeboy dropped BOTH Walter brothers with that one!"
(Stevens rolls back into the ring and, immediately, Referee Linden backs him and Onslaught into their corner, much to the dismay of the AWA Vegas Fans. Meanwhile, The Walters regroup and find their way back up to their feet and after some advice from Debbie Stone hop up onto the apron and it appears that Tracy Walters will start for the tandem. On the other side, the man himself steps up to the plate it's "The Sensational" Brian Stevens!)
CROWD: "LET'S GO, STEVENS!! LET'S GO, STEVENS!! LET'S GO, STEVENS!!"
(Both men step up and engage in a collar-elbow tie-up. Brian Stevens comes out with a rear waist lock. Tracy tries and successfully counters into a go-behind into a rear waist lock of his own. The much quickly Stevens doesn't allow Tracy to clasp his hands and instead quickly breaks the wrist of Tracy and rolls him over in a half judo toss/half arm drag. Both men get right back up to their feet and Stevens quickly DRILLS Tracy with a stiff European Uppercut that backs Tracy up into the ropes. Stevens throws a pair of high thigh kicks on Tracy, softening up the bulkier opponent before sending him to the ropes. Stevens follows Tracy to the center of the ring but stops and awaits Tracy. Once Tracy gets center ring off the rebound, Stevens executes a picture-perfect standing dropkick. Tracy, to his credit, gets right back up and is quickly met with a scoop slam. Stevens stalls for a second, lining Tracy up, before exploding to the ropes and coming back with a Powerdrive Snapdown Leg Drop. Stevens is quick to cover.)
FJ: "First pinfall of the match, Summers."
HS: "Two count barely that."
FJ: "Right idea, though."
(Stevens stays right on Tracy and brings him to his feet and quickly snapmares him back down to the mat. CRACK! CRACK! Stevens unloads two stiff kicks to both the back and front of the body of Tracy Walters before punctuating the series with a dropkick to the head. Tracy falls backwards and tries to pull himself back up. Stevens is ready and explodes from across the ring and executes a Rolling Neck Snap ala Curt Hennig. This time, Stevens doesn't cover and, instead, hauls Tracy up and whips him into the TCT corner. Stevens tags out and Onslaught comes in. Tracy panics and dives tagging in brother Ricky Walters. The fans boo the cowardly act as Ricky heads into the ring.)
HS: "Like it or not this is smart, sound strategy employed by The Walters. They are getting themselves out of trouble here and that's admirable."
FJ: "Is it? I mean, look at the size difference. Onslaught's no joke just as Henry."
(Ricky attempts to lock-up with Onslaught, but Onslaught isn't interested. Instead, Onslaught hits a Nash Knee to the gut of Ricky and quickly uncorks a closed fist to Ricky's face. Ricky staggers and Onslaught hits another one this one floors Ricky Walters. Ricky brings himself back up and again Onslaught hits a Nash Knee Strike and drops and elbow across the skull of Ricky. Ricky falls to a knee and Onslaught quickly clutches him and brings him up and hits a nice stalling vertical suplex. Onslaught quickly leaps high, high into the air and comes down with a leg drop.)
HS: "A cover by Onslaught...two count only."
FJ: "Not much going in terms of offense from the Walters yet."
HS: "I assumed otherwise going into this thing. They're far more active than Onslaught and Stevens in recent months and they just seem...unmotivated?"
FJ: "Outclassed, almost."
(Onslaught drags Ricky back up and in an amazing moment Ricky powers Onslaught back into his own corner! Ricky and Tracy unload on Onslaught with wild punches, but Onslaught starts fighting out with back elbows and wild punches. Debbie Stone quickly leaps up onto the apron and Linden goes to check on her and reprimand her...and then Ricky blatantly boots Onslaught in the nuts. Onslaught falls down in a heap and Ricky tags out. Tracy starts laying down stomp after stomp to Onslaught before dragging him up out of the corner. Tracy gets Onslaught up to his feet and lights up his chest with some knife-edge chops. Tracy tosses Onslaught to the ropes and attempts a Mr. Wrestling II knee lift, but Onslaught moves and takes Tracy over with a HUGE release German Suplex! Onslaught, slow to go, reaches over to Stevens as Tracy reaches over to Ricky.)
FJ: "Brian Stevens is primed and ready to go, Summers!"
HS: "He's reaching out for that tag harder and further than anyone I can recall. He wants Front Office blood!"
(Onslaught tags in Stevens and Ricky doesn't wait for a tag from his brother and rushes into the ring! Stevens doesn't waste movement instead, he springboards into the ring and DRILLS Ricky Walters with a Springboard Busaiku Knee Strike! Stevens kips up and hits a North Star Press on Tracy Walters! Ricky Walters gets up to his feet and staggers into the corner. Stevens sees this and quickly gets across the ring...TIDAL WAVE! Ricky staggers out and Onslaught comes to and hits a big-time Vader Body Avalanche!)
HS: "Domination from the Twin Cities Terrors! Domination from Brian f'ing Stevens!"
FJ: "It's like the Walters didn't even show up!"
(Tracy Walters struggles to his feet and is immediately met by a spin kick to the gut. Stevens executes a Hook Kick and Tracy crumbles...HE'S OUT! Onslaught brings Ricky Walters up and sets him up...BOOF BOMB!!! The fans go nuts as Brian Stevens mounts Tracy and unloads Ultimate Knees! Finally, Stevens grabs a handful of Tracy Walters hair and stares out into the audience with a sick, perverse look on his face before making a quick throat-slitting motion.)
HS: "He's calling for it!"
FJ: "Pfft...this one is DONE! This damn thing barely even began and it's DONE!"
HS: "The Front Guillotine Choke! The most feared finisher in the sport!"
(Stevens quickly locks on the front choke and falls back and locks in the leg hook...it's official. Brian Stevens has Tracy Walters locked in his pet finishing move The Front Guillotine Choke! Tracy struggles as best he can but doesn't last long as he taps frantically on the mat! Referee Jonathon Linden calls for the bell as "Into The Blinding Light" begins to play! Stevens eventually breaks the choke and drops the lifeless body of Tracy Walters as he gets up to his feet. The fans go crazy as their new hero has returned heaven help us.)
HS: "In mere minutes, the Twin Cities Terrors dispose of The Walters! Brian Stevens, nearly single-handedly, made a statement tonight! Brian Stevens is back! Brian Stevens is in his prime! Brian Stevens may be the very best damn wrestler in this sport!"
FJ: "Oh...LOOK AT THIS! What a sellout..."
(Brian Stevens leaps out of the ring and hops the guardrail to celebrate with the fans. Fans huddle around Stevens and start chanting his name. Suddenly, the cheers turn into loud boo's as we see The Legendary Low slide into the ring from out of nowhere, spin Onslaught around...LOW STUNNER! LOW STUNNER! Low gets right up to his feet and rips the microphone out of Nick Edwards' hands as he bails from the ring walking calmly up the ramp. He doesn't wait for the crowd's boos to quiet down and instead angrily addresses Stevens and Onslaught.)
LOW: "I had a few weeks to think about this, Stevens, and you know what? When you BLACKMAILED your way back into your job, that's the moment you should savior forever, because Stevens, it is the one time you really got one up on me. It's not going to happen again."
(Low and an upset Stevens look eyes as Onslaught slowly gets back to his feet.)
LOW: "You found a way to manipulate Gray into handing you your job back, but buddy, I am the greatest manipulator in AWA history. Maybe I couldn't prevent your return, maybe I can't fire you, but Stevens, I can sabotage your career until the day you are so desperate for the glory you used to have, a glory I will deny to you, that you will quit the AWA voluntarily and try your luck elsewhere. The problem is, you want, no, you NEED to be The Best, and you can only be The Best in the AWA. In fact, you can only be The Best when The Legendary Low is not around, and as long as the AWA exist, that day will never EVER come!"
(The crowd boos, but uncharacteristically Low doesn't bother with them and instead focuses solely on Stevens.)
LOW: "Stevens, I can and will screw with your career. I will screw with your life. You've opened yourself up to scrutiny, you've made yourself vulnerable by bringing the people you love on television in the past. Your mom, your dad, the rest of your goddamn stinking inbred Minnesota hick family, they're all fair game. The last time I met Tabitha Rankin, she wet her panties because she tried to kill me and couldn't pull the trigger. Who knows what I can do to make her wet the next time I see her..."
(Low chuckles as the crowd's boos grow louder.)
LOW: "And your buddy Onslaught there... he's MY employee, so I can do to him whatever the hell I want to do to him. And Onslaught, kiss that No Limits title, give it a hug, make hot, sticky love to it, because I can promise you this - it won't be yours for long, because starting next week, you will be on a Champion schedule that I know you can't survive. And your first opponent? Jeff Christianson!"
(The crowd boos while Low smiles.)
LOW: "And Stevens? Next week's show will be in San Francisco's Cow Palace. Ever since Ray Stevens stunk up that joint some 40 years ago, nobody wants to see a Stevens again in San Fran, so you, AWA version of Avril Lavigne, are banned from appearing on Sunday Night Shock next week!"
(Stevens yells at Low and the crowd boos, but Low just drops the microphone and walk to the back.)
HS: "Folks, we're being told that the number one contender to the World Title, Terry James, is walking around in the halls backstage. Let's take you there now."
(We see Terry James walking along in the back hallways with his wrestling attire and a black Caught in the Storm design muscle shirt. He turns a corner and stops dead in his tracks, as does the man heading the opposite way down the hall, Logan Alexander.)
HS: "Well, this could be interesting, folks. The number one contender has run into the champ backstage."
FJ: "Brawl it out, boys!"
(The crowd cheers for both men and their confrontation later tonight as they just stand there, staring at one another. Terry turns his gaze over to Logan's shoulder, which has the AWA World Heavyweight Championship belt on it. Terry then looks back at Logan and the two continue to stare a hole through one another. They then both walk by one another, not saying a word. The camera view switches back to the announce table.)
FJ: "Bah! Boring!"
HS: "Those two are saving it for the ring, Frank. I have a feeling that their match is going to be something else."
(The feed on the Ameritron starts to get scrambled and we immediately are treated to another mysterious Ameritron moment. The old and scrambled VHS effect washes away into static and the arena is, again, blackened. The static fades away and we're treated to a current shot of the arena right now. The dvd screener-like ticker is shown at the top of the screen and it currently says, "0 DAYS 0 HOURS 7 MINUTES 25 SECONDS". The crowd starts to cheer their asses off as the footage fades away into footage from Wrestlefest VI...)
(Draven looks about and gets ready to deliver his finisher from the ladder to the inside, however "The Gambit" is stirring, he is also climbing the ladder now. As Draven prepares to take the drop, Lasiewicz shoves him and Fury causing them to fall precariously into the ring. Shadows Hits hard and bounces on his hip and back, while Fury takes the full brunt of the fall landing on his shoulder and neck. Lasiewicz then looks around and leaps delivering a horridly devastating elbow drop into the heart of Fury. McLeon is still down and being attended to on the outside, while Draven is still trying to get up. Lasiewicz however covers Fury.)
HS: "1.............2.............Is Draven going to make it?"
FJ: "I don't think so....3!!!!"
(Draven dove to try and break up the count, however he was as split second late, as the refs hand hit three first.)
HS: "We have the first ever No Limits Champion Frank."
FJ: "The Gambit has done it..."
("Welcome to the Jungle" starts to play as Lasiewicz is presented with the new AWA No Limits Title, he proudly straps the belt around his waist.)
(The footage changes to show footage from a match on a show after Wrestlefest VI...)
(Nathan Hawthorne-Lee kicks Andreas Lasiewicz in the gut and hits the Brainbuster DDT move he calls the SlapShot! NHL goes for the cover...)
HS: "ONE...TWO...THREE!! Nathan Hawthorne-Lee is the NEW No Limit Champion!"
(We see footage from Revelations in 2005...)
(DeSade drops into position and starts his count 1..... 2..... DeSade looks at DW with disgust and delays his count for just a second before bringing his hand down for the count of 3.)
HS: "This one is over folks, we have NEW AWA Tag Team Champions! For the third time Bad Blood are the AWA Tag Team Champs."
(We fade to another shot from the 8/7/2005 episode of Shock...)
(Stevens after hitting the Ace Crusher quickly covers and NHL does his part by interupting the break up attempt of Dark Warrior, the ref then slides into position and counts 1....2...3!!!!)
HS: "Three count.... Three count... We have new Tag Team Champions."
FJ: "NEW Tag Team Champions, Damage Inc. have taken the Titles just two weeks before Classic."
(Footage from 6/5/05 edition of Shock...)
(Hangman's face turns into a mask of rage and anger, but Schizm quickly slams the door shut and we can hear him locking it. Hangman starts screaming in anger and picks up every object he can get his hands on, throwing it through the boiler room. He starts punching away at the door. A second camera shows Schizm helping up the new United States Champion Andreas Lasiewicz. We can see The Hangman punching dents into the door and as the Carnival members see this, they quickly make their way out of there.)
(The screen fades into footage from the 9/11/05 edition of Shock...)
(NHL picks up Andreas and delivers the SlapShot, right in the middle of the ring, he hooks the leg, and the ref makes the ONE...TWO...THREE.)
HS: "It's got no where to go but to victory. Very impressive win here by NHL."
(We cut into footage from the 1/15/06 episode of Shock...)
(Brian Stevens, a little woosey from the flip, kicks the title from the ring. He grabs Williams and brings him to his feet. He sets him up for the North Star Driver and connects. Brian covers Williams, but the refereeis still groggy.)
FJ: "Make the count, ref!"
(The referee slowly slides to check the pin and counts slowly......ONE......TWO......THREE!!!)
FJ: "HOLY SHIT!"
HS: "WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!"
FJ: "BRIAN STEVENS HAS CAPTURED HIS FIRST AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!"
(The image fades into footage from Vortex 2006...)
(Stevens waits for NHL to get to his feet, but when NHL is up to one knee, Stevens runs towards NHL and misses with an attempted enziguri. NHL brings Stevens to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but Stevens counters it and NHL goes into the ropes instead. Stevens leaps at NHL and grabs his head and spins around like a tornado DDT, only instead of hitting the DDT, Brian lifts NHL into the air for the North Star Driver, but NHL slips down and pushes Stevens into the ropes. On the way back, NHL kicks Stevens in the gut and lifts him into the air. NHL brings Stevens' head down onto the ladder!)
HS: "THE SLAPSHOT!"
FJ: "NHL COVERS! ONE...TWO...THREE!!"
HS: "NHL has done it! NHL has put Stevens away like he said he was going to do. Stevens just didn't have it in him to defeat NHL. The third time was not the charm tonight!"
(We cut into footage from the 3/5/2006 episode of Shock...)
(Low, Lars and Stevens can't believe it. NHL is actually back up on one knee, then the other, before getting up on his feet again! Low only has the cobra clutch applied now and the fans cheer NHL on. Suddenly, however, Stevens kicks NHL right into the groin and NHL sinks to the mat, where Low can fully reapply the Low Standard. NHL all of a sudden lifts his right arm and VERY awkwardly taps out!)
HS: "WHAT!?!?"
FJ: "YES!!!"
(Stevens immediately calls for the bell, but another camera angle shows us that it was actually Lars Fredrickson reaching into the ring and moving NHL's arm to simulate him tapping out. "A Pain That I'm Used To" begins to play and Brian Stevens hands the AWA World title belt to Low.)
FJ: "NINE TIMES! NINE TIMES! NINE TIMES!"
HS: "You know what, I'll do my best to make sure Travis Gray ends this crap at Springs And Breaks!"
(We fade into footage from the 3/12/06 episode of Shock...)
(NHL struggles out of the attempted Low Stunner and kicks Low in the gut, lifts him into the air, and nails the SlapShot! NHL covers...)
HS: "ONE...TWO...THREE!!"
FJ: "IMPOSSIBLE! Nathan defeated Low and robbed him of his 9th World title to become a two-time World Champion!"
(We cut into footage from Classic 2006...)
HS: "What a series of holds! Low floats from one submission hold into the next."
FJ: "And this is his most potent weapon of all. At Hell Bowl 2005 Brian Williams was the first and as far as I remember the only man to counter the Low Standard. Can he do it again?"
(Williams tries to reach the ropes one more time, but the two are in the middle of the ring. As Low pulls back on the Low Standard, we hear Brian Williams scream in pain. As he realizes he has no way out, Brian Williams taps out to The Legendary Low.)
HS: "OH MY GOD!"
FJ: "HE DID IT! LOW DID IT! HE HAS WON THE WORLD TITLE FOR THE TENTH TIME!"
(We fade into footage from Wrestlefest VIII from 2006...)
(Finally, after a struggle
LOW TAPS! LOW TAPS on the leg of NHL!)
FJ: "No f'ing way!"
HS: "Did
Low just tap!?"
(The referee signals for the bell and NHL breaks the choke and immediately clutches his arm!)
HS: "LOW JUST TAPPED! We have a new AWA World Heavyweight Champion!"
FJ: "Just like that! Out of frickin' no where!"
(Low collapses on the mat as NHL raises his one good arm high in the air while on his knees. Shortly thereafter, "Symphony of Destruction" hits to reassure the fans that NHL is indeed the winner! The sold out Madison Square Garden is going NUTS!)
HS: "Nathan Hawthorne-Lee has done it for a THIRD TIME! NHL is your new AWA World Heavyweight Champion and the AWA United States Champion! What a moment! What a night!"
(We cut from this image to the 10/8/06 episode of Shock...)
Snake crashes HARD on the outside! Logan Alexander flies backwards and onto Jayson Price! Both men crash through the table...but Logan is on top!)
HS: "1...2...3!!! New Champion! New Champion!"
FJ: "NO!"
HS: "For a record setting FORTH TIME! Logan Alexander has captured the AWA United States Championship!"
(We fade into footage from the 10/22/06 episode of Shock...)
FJ: "What a match up, folks! All we have seen is incredible reciliance by both men. And Logan Alexander is going for the--"
FJ & HS: "OMEGA STRYKE!"
(Just as Alexander starts dropping on his side to finish the move, NHL manages to flip on his shoulders and hit the Slapshot out of nowhere, getting some of the damage from the momentum! Both men lay on the mat once again, but NHL is the first one to start moving around. He drags himself towards Alexander and wraps his left hand, with difficulty, over the Champion's chest. The referee drops to the mat and makes the count. One... two... THREE!!)
HS: "WE HAVE A NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!"
(We cut from this footage and fade into footage from Springs & Breaks 2007...)
(Sure enough, Jai hits his version of the widow's peak, knocking O'Hara out cold. Jai struggles to get to his feet, and he scoops up the title belt, as the door opens again, and Jai stumbles out of the door, and to the arena floor, as the ref calls for the bell!)
FJ: "THAT'S IT! MATCH OVER!!! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!"
HS: "Jai and DW have done it! They are the new tag team champions!!!"
(We fade into footage from the 6/10/2007 episode of Shock...)
(Jeff Christianson turns around and he's met with a stiff European Uppercut by Henry which knocks him back into the ropes. Henry throws Jeff to the ropes on the other side, Jeff rebounds with a quick clothesline. He turns around, and nails a running high knee on NHL who bounced right off the mat after the clothesline. He turns around now, only to be met by a Low Stunner which shoots his body back into the arms of NHL who then nails him with the SlapShot. NHL and Low both cover him and the referee begins to count. One... Two... Three...)
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen we have NEW AWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!"
FJ: "DAMAGE INC. DID IT! AND THEY DID IT TOGETHER!"
(We fade to footage from the 6/1/07 edition of Shock...)
(Finally, Smith throws an arm over Elias and collapses. The referee makes the count.)
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
HS: "New champion!"
(The bell rings, but neither man moves.)
HS: "AC SMITH HAS DONE IT! After an exhausting match, he has finally recaptured the No Limits Championship and gotten the better of Jester!"
(We cut from this footage to footage from Wrestlefest IX...)
(Christianson moves and Scoops Henry up for an Atomic Drop but Henry counters and hooks an arm around Christianson's neck; Driving a nee up into Jeff's face Henry executes an Brainbuster DDT and covers Jeff for a pin.)
FJ: "Sudden Death by Sir Nathaniel Henry Lee GBE!!!"
HS: "Stu Abbott is checking the pin and here it comes. One, two, three!!"
(We cut from this footage fade into static once more. Numbers appear on the screen in this order, "1, 3, 2, 4, 5, 7, 6, 8, 9", only to reorder to, "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9". We then see images of (1) NHL holding the NL title for the first time in 2004, (2) NHL holding the US title for the first time, (3) NHL holding his Tag Team title for the first time, (4) NHL holding his World title for this first time, (5) NHL holding his World title for the second time, (6) NHL holding his US title for the second time, (7) NHL holding his World title for the third time, (8) NHL holding his Tag Team title for the second time, and (9) NHL holding his NL title for the second time. These nine images, shown in three rows of three, are shown on the Ameritron and then the timer appears at the top of the screen. It currently says, "0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 22 SECONDS".)
FJ: "HERB! 20 SECONDS LEFT! YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?"
HS: "I THINK I DO!"
FJ: "FINALLY! WHAT THE AWA NEEDS!"
HS: "This is so exciting! It's absolutely surreal!"
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 7 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 6 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 5 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 4 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 3 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 2 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 1 SECONDS".)
("0 HOURS 0 DAYS 0 MINUTES 0 SECONDS".)
("NOW" flashes across the Ameritron. Suddenly, green, blue, red, and white lights flash as we hear the opening intro of "True Nature" by Jane's Addiction.)
HS: "Frank! That's Nathan's music!"
FJ: "NATHAN?! NNNNOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!"
(The music continues, but nothing happens... Eventually it fades away.)
FJ: "HAHA! Henry was only screwing with us! I love that guy!"
(The lights go dim and then we hear the small progression of chords begin at the beginning of Metallica's "Damage, Inc." Green and white lights begin to strobe around the arena.)
FJ: "YES!! It's Sir Nathaniel Henry Lee GBE! He's back! WITH DAMAGE, INC.!!!"
(The music continues on for a few more seconds, but then dies out...)
FJ: "What?! What's the meaning of this?"
HS: "Apparently it's not Damage, Inc. Frank."
(Green, blue, red, and white lights flash as we hear the beginnings of an orchestra playing their tuning chord before they start playing. After that we hear a chorus sing two notes and then the heavy riff of "Symphony of Destruction" by Megadeth begins to play around the arena.)
HS: "I think it's Nathan that's screwing with us, Frank."
FJ: "DAMMIT! I HATE THAT GUY!"
(The music continues to play, but no one comes out still...)
FJ: "Ok, this is... strange?"
(The house lights dim as white lights strobe as the beginning of "Am I Evil?" by Diamond Head blares throughout the arena. After a few seconds, red begins to strobe around the entrance area.)
FJ: "AHA! It IS Henry! Go Sir Henry! YEAH!"
(After a few seconds the music fades...)
FJ: "OH COME ON! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!"
(White, red, gold, and green strobing lights flash as "No Remorse" by Metallica hits the arena.)
HS: "Frank, this is Nathan's original, debut music!"
FJ: "What?! We've run out of music? So that means...?"
(When the solo begins about 10 seconds into the song, NHL emerges from the curtain area. Immediately the crowd from Caesar's Palace gets to their feet and cheers a sustained roar not heard of in quite a long while.)
HS: "Listen to this, Frank! This palace is about to explode!"
FJ: "I hate Nathan and even I'M excited! Talk about exciting!"
(A short while later, NHL explodes from his trance with excitement, bursting with energy. He walks over to the left hand of the stage and the lights come up in the arena. NHL looks to be in fantastic shape from what we can see. He's wearing a new, NHL t-shirt that looks like the cover of Super Mario Bros. 3 from the NES, but says, "World Heavyweight Champion Nathan Hawthorne-Lee x3". He's screaming at the fans, throwing his hands up into the air as he walks over to the left part of the stage.)
HS: "That's a cool looking t-shirt."
FJ: "And I'm sure it'll be available on AWA Shop shortly."
(NHL walks to the right part of the stage and throws his arms up into the air. The fans cheer loudly for NHL.)
FJ: "Listen to this place!"
(NHL walks down the ramp slowly, soaking in the cheers and overall noise from the arena. NHL reaches the ring and climbs up the ring steps. He goes through the ropes and climbs the nearby turnbuckle. He points to the fans and gets them amped up.)
HS: "Nathan sure knows how to make the fans roar in Caesar's Palace."
(NHL hops down and goes to the next turnbuckle and does the same. He hits the other two turnbuckles before asking for a microphone from the ring announcer, Nick Edwards.)
HS: "I don't think the fans are going to let him speak."
(NHL stands there for a few moments as the fans roar and roar and cheer and chant his name. He holds up the microphone and then taps on it a few times.)
NHL: "You know-"
(NHL is cut off from the fans once more as they cheer even louder, knowing it's not an English accent coming out of his mouth this time.)
NHL: "You know, I have to say that this is the best moment of my life."
(The fans cheer louder, but then start to simmer down.)
NHL: "Yes, as you can hear, I'm not talking with some English accent. I am not Henry. I, definitively, am Nathan Hawthorne-Lee, the man you remember, the man you last saw as the AWA World Heavyweight Champion in March 2007. The last thing I remember was getting ready for my match against Snake - a match that 'Sir' Henry lost because he's the worse wrestler to ever grace this ring. HE LOST TO SNAKE! COME ON!"
(The fans cheer and laugh at that comment.)
NHL: "And then a lot of things happened during the last year or so. Henry was knighted as a knight of England. That's kind of cool. ANd that inadvertantly makes me a knight as well, although I won't really tout that title as Henry did. Henry teamed up with Brian Stevens...AGAIN. Very typical of him to surround himself with people better than he was. And he proved that by allowing Low to join Damage, Inc. and even have a role in the actual, physical COMPANY. What a moron. He trusted someone who would screw his own mother if it meant power, glory, and more World Heavyweight Championships. I sent Low packing in December 2006. I don't trust him - especially after he faked his own death."
(The fans loudly boo the mentioning of that moment.)
NHL: "And I see you haven't forgotten or forgiven that. And look where it got Henry. Low booted Stevens out of Damage, Inc., ending his tenure with the company AND with the AWA. Low sided with President Gray to become the AWA's Commissioner. Everywhere I turn, it seems Low's trying to do SOMETHING to make sure he has the advantage in something."
NHL: "Speaking of Brian Stevens..."
(The fans give a mixed reaction the mention of Brian Stevens.)
NHL: "I must say that it was VERY interesting how he got himself a contract here with the AWA. Brian and I have been through a lot - literally. I've tried to kill him as much as he's tried to kill me. HENRY teamed with Brian to become a dominant tag team and stable in the AWA. I've already proven to Brian on several occassions that he cannot defeat me no matter how hard he tries. I just hope that with his new enlightenment with this whole Gray and Low fiasco, he'll mellow out a bit and learn that life isn't all about trying to destroy me."
(The fans cheer NHL's comments.)
NHL: "And if I talk about Stevens, I have to talk about the current No Limits Champion, Onslaught. If it wasn't for him, I don't think I'd even be here right now. Strangely enough, while Henry wouldn't do what I'm about to do, I can't wait to say these words to Onslaught. THANK YOU! Even though you put my body through physical hell at Vortex, it wasn't for naught, as it seems that Henry's been destroyed forever. My brain was so fried that it literally cooked Henry into oblivion. I'm healed and my body's at 100%. In fact, I feel better than ever."
NHL: "So with all of the misdirection my wife was feeding Gray about me being in a coma, I was cooking up a way to get back into the public eye once I was healed. I'm looking into the future. I'm looking to see what I can do with almost a new AWA roster to dive right into. All of the interactions I can have with all of these new and improved wrestlers. Hell, Logan Alexander is the World Heavyweight Champion!"
(The fans cheer at the mention of their World Champion's name.)
NHL: "Every time we wrestled, we put on a clinic. I can even mix it up with the newly established Christianson Foundation. Jeff and I pride ourselves on our technical wrestling abilities and I'm sure Jeff would love to take a stab at the newly resurrected Nathan Hawthorne-Lee."
(The fans give a mix of boos and cheers for the mention of Jeff Christianson and a match with him.)
NHL: "I know he may not be well liked right now, but that doesn't mean we can't put on one hell of a match. Terry James is back AND I think he's wrestling in his first, singles pay-per-view main event tonight! There's a competitor I can sink my teeth into. We have new guys in the AWA since my departure. Joe Cool is signed onto the AWA's active roster. He's been tearing it up. I'm sure he'll prove to be a worthy combatant. And hell, KING OF THE KAGE IS AROUND THE CORNER!"
(The fans let out a huge roar over the mention of the next AWA pay-per-view.)
NHL: "In short, Nathan Hawthorne-Lee is back and better than ever. It's time that I set things right and try to rid myself of Henry's pitiful reputation and I'm gunning to take back what I didn't really lose - the AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!"
(The fans cheer as NHL drops the mic. "No Remorese" by Metallica starts to play as NHL climbs the nearest turnbuckle and plays to the crowd.)
FJ: "Unbelievable! I can't believe what I just saw."
HS: "Nathan's not even back for ten minutes and already he's gunning for the World title and King of the Kage."
FJ: "Listen to this place! All of what Nathan did in the weeks leading up to this was very clever. He shows us the previous title holders for all the titles he held. I would have NEVER had thought that it was him all along until he showed us the truth behind all of those videos."
HS: "I think we're going to have to head to a commercial break here. We'll be right back."
(We see NHL hopping off the turnbuckle and rolling out of the ring. As he walks up the ramp, we cut to a commercial about King of the Kage.)
(COMMERCIAL BREAK.)
HS: "Well, ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for us to get back into the swing of things. Next is a match that...well that I am not at all looking forward to be calling to be perfectly honest."
FJ: "That's because you're a total wimp, Herb. I'm looking forward to calling this match, as if could be one of the last ones these two ever compete in! If you don't want any part of it, turn off your damn headset."
HS: "Unlike you Frank I've never had a problem with doing my job. Well, we've seen highlights on Shock, and those same highlights this evening. But we'll give you one last look at the video highlight package right after we take one last look at our competitors."
(The scene switches to Jason Storm, strapping on his boots. That same blank stare that plagued his promos is on his face, but this time, it looks like it is the floodgates holding something back that when unleashed, can not be stopped.)
HS: "I'd like to know where Evan Heir is, Frank, but the last we heard from him he was at the hospital with his wife Maria Clarke. She gave birth to twin boys at the top of the hour. It was a successful delivery and we congratulate her, but..."
FJ: "...But where the hell is the daddy? Evan isn't at the hospital and he isn't at the are--!"
(We switch backstage and a taxi speeds into the parking lot. It screeches to a stop, just inches from the camera. The back door opens and after a "transaction" between passenger and driver, a familiar pair of pants and Converse exits the cab and begins sprinting to the arena.)
HS: "Wait, is that...?"
(Soft music begins playing as black-and-white images of Jason Storm & Evan Heir are shown.)
I try to make it through my life
In my way
There is you
I try to make it through these lies
That's all I do
(Evan Heir is shown locking Jason Storm in the Deposit while Maria Clarke watches from the outside. Blood runs down Jason Storm's face and violin music plays as the scene slows down, focusing on the pain of Jason Storm.)
Just don't deny it
Just don't deny it
(Jason Storm and Evan Heir are shown exchanging blows on the top of a ladder. Jason Storm slams Evan's head into the top of the ladder and then grabs his head.)
And deal with it
Yeah deal with it
(As the music kicks up, Jason Storm delivers a Sudden Revolution from one of the top rungs of the ladder to the canvas below.)
You tried to break me
You wanna break me
(Jason Storm is shown stooping over a barely conscious Evan Heir, enraged, as he begins to yell into the microphone, an inch from his face.)
Bit by bit
That's just part of you
(A clip of Evan Heir delivering a PDA to Jason Storm and rolling out of the ring is shown.)
If you were dead or still alive,
I don't care,
I don't care
(Evan Heir slams Jason Storm into a pair of steel steps and separates the two. The clip then shows Evan Heir delivering a Leg Drop to Jason Storm's neck, and then one more clip of Jason Storm tossing Evan Heir over the top rope and onto the floor.)
And all the things you left behind,
I don't care,
I don't care
(Evan Heir is shown legal documents, declaring a restraining order on Maria Clarke. His expression is wide-eyed and angry and suddenly, the clips turn to color as the sound of Apocalyptica's violin begins to play again.)
I try to make you see my side
Always trying to stay in line
But you're all I see right through
That's all they do
(Evan Heir and Jason Storm are shown in the same tag team corner on an episode of Shock. Clips from the match are shown, which ultimately ends with Evan Heir being dropped by A.C. Smith and Jason Storm watching as Logan Alexander and A.C. Smith celebrate their victory in the ring.)
I'm getting tired of this shh
I got no room when inside this
But if you wanted me just deal with it
(Clips of the two smacking each other with weapons such as steel chairs, ladders, Singapore canes, and ring bells are shown rapidly across the screen.)
So...
(A slow motion clip of the two jumping towards each other in the center of the ring is shown.)
If you were dead or still alive,
I don't care
(Evan Heir is shown lying bloodied, wide-eyed on the ground.)
I don't care,
And all the things you left behind
(Jason Storm is shown lying on his side on the ground, blood coming from his forehead and biting his lip in an excruciating amount of pain.)
I don't care,
I don't care
(The lights go out, but the crowd knows who is coming. 'Biggest and the Best' begins to play, confirming their fears and signaling their jeers.)
Nobody is perfect but I'm pretty fucking close, and I'm here to give you all a heavy heavenly dose. I think you better listen 'cause I know who you are, and I think that you should treat me like a superstar!
(Sparks begin to exit the stage while the fans continue to boo.)
Because I'm more than just a human I'm the gift to all of you, and I'm here to make sure that my message gets through. I wonder if you're really all as dumb as you look, or are you smart enough to learn the rules in my book.
(The last shred of doubt has been removed, and the boos rain down whole-heartedly. There is, however, an undertone of cheering that can be heard...)
I hope you understand that the knowledge I bring, Puts me in the position of a god or a king, 'Cause I'm blessed with the gift of the magic touch, And I wouldn't say that I'm asking for too much.
(Amidst the booing, the shadow of a figure can now be seen in the sparks. The rest of the arena's darkness, however, leaves all but the closest fans blind to anything else.)
All you have to do is get down on your knees and pray, and I promise you the remedy is on its way, But you can never be like me so don't waste your time, because I reign supreme and my position is divine.
(A huge explosion suddenly blinds the arena, revealing Jason Storm. Jason forces a smile, but it's obvious that he's none too happy. He goes through the motions, however, and raises his arms, signaling the black and gold confetti to come pouring down.)
What's wrong with being self-possessed? Nobody satisfied with being second best. I've got the gift and I know that I'm blessed, and I've got to get it off my chest.
HS: "I really am no longer sure what to make of this situation; a month ago, I lived in a fantasy world where Storm was the villain and Evan the victim and hero. Now, I'm not so sure."
FJ: "It's not too hard to tell, Herb. How could Evan Heir treat people this way?! I knew there was something I didn't like about that guy from the beginning. I mean, look what he's done to poor Jason Storm. He's corrupted him for life."
HS: "Let's not get carried away here, or pretend that Evan's actions in any way shape or form excuse Storm's."
FJ: "What? What'd Storm do?"
(The cameras focus on the ramp and the entranceway. We see several weapons set up. Among them are folded tables, ladders, chairs, lead pipes, Singapore canes, chains, as well as trash cans and shopping carts, which themselves are loaded with more weapons.)
HS: "This is not going to be pretty. It's not going to be for the week at heart."
FJ: "It's a Nevada Knockout match, baby!!...what the hell is a Nevada Knockout match?"
HS: "Theoretically, it's a match where the winner is the one who makes his opponent completely unresponsive; unable to blink, twitch a finger, or anything. The referee's only authority is to determine when one of the two combatants have reached that point. In reality...we're about to find out."
FJ: "Well, Jason Storm is in the ring, but where's Evan Heir?"
HS: "I don't know, Frank. We've been informed throughout the night that his fiancιe, Maria Clarke, is giving birth to her sons and-- there he is!"
(The crowd roars as we see a determined Evan Heir on the TitanTron. He is dressed in a black jacket and his normal street clothes, which aren't that much different from his wrestling attire. Evan pulls off his jacket and tosses it aside. He steps through the curtains that lead to the O-Tunnel.)
("Stronger" hits the PA system and the crowd in the sold-out Caesar's Palace rise to their feet, most cheering at the top of their lungs, but the boos from at least a hundred members in the audience cannot be ignored.)
HS: "AND LISTEN TO THEM GET TO THEIR FEET FOR THE UNITED STATES CHAMPION!!!"
FJ: "Let's not forget about the ones that are getting on their feet to walk down to the ring and get right in his face to boo him. Yeah? Why are these sadists booing a murderer?! I mean, I respect the guy as a competitor, but what a horrible, despicable human being! ...As you would say."
Work it, make it, do it, makes us
Harder, better, faster, stronger...
(Evan Heir slowly walks out from the back as his music hits. He walks down the ramp, looking directly at Jason Storm, intensity in the eyes of both men. Heir stops as a few fans lean over the rail to yell insults at him. Evan walks to the fans and raises his hand as if to slap them and they recoil, but Evan, feigning innocence, simply continues to walk down to the ring.)
HS: "Evan is all business tonight! Though I've never seen him completely ignore his fans like that."
FJ: "Well, maybe Jason was right about him all along. Evan is all about himself when he goes out there. He doesn't care what these fans think and they're idiots to believe that he ever did!"
(Evan stops again before approaching the ring and takes the time to look at the weapons that surround him. Evan narrows his eyes and brushes some hair out of his face, taking a deep breath. He looks mildly uncomfortable, but shakes that off and turns to the ring, glaring whole-heartedly at the challenger before slowly un-strapping the United States championship and walking to the ring steps, walking up onto the apron slowly.)
(Storm removes his robe and tosses it over; but his eyes never once left Evan Heir. They bore a hole right through the younger man.)
FJ: "Storm said that tonight, he would go to any lengths to make Evan Heir pay. He said that tonight, he didn't even know if he could fear God."
HS: "By the same token, Evan Heir said that tonight, Jason Storm need not fear God, but Jason Storm should fear him, Evan Heir. Evan Heir said that he would dismantle Storm from head to toe and Storm said that he would maim Evan Heir."
(The camera focuses on both competitors, just in time to see them mouth off some last minute threats.)
STORM: "I'm going to hurt you."
HEIR: "As if I feel pain."
STORM: "You will."
HS: "That...did you read their lips?"
FJ: "Ye...yeah....maybe this match isn't a good idea."
(Storm walks up and stands in the center of the ring, turning his nose up and inviting Evan Heir to come in and do the same.)
(Heir walks to the center of the ring as well. His music dies down and fades out and the crowd is on their feet, in a frenzy in anticipation for the confrontation that is about to occur. Evan tilts his head a bit and looks directly into Storm's eyes, the look on Evan's face indescribable.)
HS: "It's too late for that now, Frank. *pause* Look at that sight. Yeah, you look at that and try and convince me those two don't hate each other."
FJ: "Well, over the past week, we've seen what these two have to say to each other. Not as much as usual, and not surprising. We've heard rumors that the likes of Sienna Harrison, Maria Clarke, and even a few personalities in the Board of Directors have had to cancel this match. Believe it or not, a handful of longtime AWA fans protested this match being aired on television. But here it is. We have it live and in color."
(The bell rings...and nothing happens.)
HS: "Uhh... I think the silence and the lack of movement from these two is a little more disturbing than a fight..."
FJ: "Eesh, I know. Someone throw a punch!"
(The fans start to throw a chant, one that picks up volume as it goes along.)
FANS: "Let's go Evan!!! Let's go Jason!!! LET'S GO EVAN!!! LET'S GO JASON!!!"
FJ: "Oh no...DUELING CHANTS! SAVE US!!!!"
(Evan Heir takes a step back, but delivers a vicious slap to Jason Storm's jaw.)
(Storm takes a deep breath and gives a half sigh, half eye roll...and slams a fist right into Evan's chin!)
HS: "It's on!"
(Evan Heir is backed into the ropes and Jason Storm Irish Whips him across the ring. Heir dives under a Clothesline and slides under the bottom rope. As if nothing happens, he calmly waves Jason Storm off and reaches into his pocket, walking to the front row and begins... Signing autographs for the fans?!)
HS: "Oooh... Shades of Heir's debut here in the AWA. Mind games? Or just deja vu?"
FJ: "Or doing everything he can to avoid a figh...LOOK OUT!!!"
(Storm gets a running start, and dives out of the ring, smashing Evan forehead first into the guard rail. A dazed Evan checks a small cut on his forehead while Storm points at the startled fans.)
STORM: "YOU DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEM!! YOU PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!! YOU DON'T GET THE LUXURY OF TAKING ME LIGHTLY ANYMORE, HEIR!!! NOT AFTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!"
(Heir, angrily springs to his feet-- somewhat-- and tackles Storm to the ground. The two begin exchanging hard, stiff fists to the delight of the fans. Both of them get a few good shots in and eventually, Storm forces Heir off him. Heir has a trickle of blood rolling down his cheek from the cut sustained earlier. Storm gets up and Heir jumps at him again. He manages to shoulder-block Storm into the ring post, but Storm grabs Heir by his throat and swings him into the guard-rail. Heir hits it back-first and Storm hits him with a hard Clothesline that doesn't take him into the crowd, but knocks him awkwardly on top of the guard rail.)
(Storm leaps on top of the guardrail and in one smooth motion, drops a knee across Evan's throat! Evan rolls out into the crowd, clutching at his windpipe and gagging for air. Storm tells people to move as he starts picking up chairs and throwing them at Evan. Some catch him in the leg, some in the back, but one caught him right in the head and knocked him silly. Storm power-walks over to Evan and grabs him by the back of his neck. Holding his fist up, Storm stares at it like a man possessed before going to bring it down...only for Evan to catch Storm right in the testicles with a cheap shot.)
HS: "And now it's war! We see that this is FAR from a wrestling match. Neither one of these men can rely on their classic training styles. There are no rules! There are no pins! Someone has to be-- oh look!"
(Evan grabs Storm's wrist and whips him into a soda machine. Storm hits it so hard that the lights behind the plastic flicker violently before they fade out. Storm slumps to the ground and Evan picks up two of the folding chairs that were thrown at him. He props one up about a foot from Storm's face and another about five feet away from it, both facing away from Storm. Evan gets a running start before stepping on one chair and leaping off to dropkick the other one right into Jason's face! Storm's head slams against the soda machine and a few sodas begin to spill out. Evan moves the chair out of the way and picks Storm up by his hair, beginning to walk him back to the ring. The camera shows, however, that Evan is already having trouble opening his right eye.)
(Storm sinks to his knees, trying to keep Evan from dragging him any further. Evan tries to forcefully yank Storm by the head, but it is actually a miss-q on Storm's part that prevents this from happening; as Storm moves to get a foot under him, it slips, and the force actually carries Evan over his head back to the machine.)
HS: "A misstep by Storm there may have benefited him more than anything else."
FJ: "That was no misstep by Storm! That was a calculated maneuver of brilliance!"
(Evan manages to get to his feet, but Storm grabs one of the fallen soda cans and whips it right into Evan's face! Evan stumbles back into a seated position, and Storm picks up another soda. Popping it open, he takes a swig to the laughter of some nearby fans...and then spits it right into Evan's cut!)
HEIR: "AAAHHH!"
(Heir clutches at the cut on his head and covers it up, pounding his feet against the cement in agony as he rolls on the ground. Storm picks Heir up by his hair and with a running start, throws him towards the guard-rail again. Evan hits it hard, his ribs taking the brunt of the impact. He staggers backward-- right into a Dropkick by Storm that knocks Evan over the guard-rail and back to ringside. Security allows fans to get back to their regular seats and Storm hops the guard rail, stalking Evan Heir who is using the ring apron to pull himself to his feet. Storm runs and hits a hard knee to Evan's lower back. Evan arches and falls onto his stomach. Storm eyes Evan and then turns, looking at the weapons near the ramp. It takes less than a second before Storm decides to make his way to the nearest Singapore cane and pick it up. A very loud mixed reaction erupts from the crowd, but before Storm turns back to the ring, our cameras catch Evan Heir crawl under it!)
FJ: "Look at the coward! Crawling under the ring!! Oh, I wonder where he'll turn up!"
(Storm too seems to think that it is rather predictable, as with a sigh and a twirl of his cane, he walks over to the opposite side of the ring and winds up, waiting for Evan to emerge.)
HS: "Where is-- hey!"
(The crowd roars as Storm lifts up the apron to look for Evan, only for Evan to be shown on the other side of the ring. He runs towards Jason and the moment Jason drops the apron cloth, Evan hits him with a hard front dropkick between the middle and bottom ropes, knocking Jason to the floor, though Jason still manages to keep a grip on his Singapore cane. Evan grabs the top rope when Jason starts to get up and leaps over the top for a springboard senton.)
FJ: "CHEAP!"
HS: "No, it was strategic, Frank, clam down."
(Evan picks Storm up after the senton, but is shocked with a shot to the ribs from the Singapore cane! Evan lets go of Storm and stumbles away. This gives Storm the needed time to recover. Storm finally gets all the way up to his feet. Evan turns towards Storm and Storm swings the cane full force at his head, but Evan ducks under it and the cane snaps against the ring post. Splinters fly and the cane literally snaps in half, displaying the destructive nature of Jason Storm. Storm throws the other half of the cane uselessly to the floor and turns around to hit Evan with an elbow to the jaw. The United States champion reels from the blow and Jason Storm grabs him in a front facelock position before he hits a Snap Suplex on the outside of the ring!)
HS: "And that's enough to destroy someone's back. There's barely an inch separating the surface of these mats from the concrete below."
FJ: "Now go ask Jason Storm if he cares."
(Jason rolls Evan back into the ring. Jason gets in there with him and delivers a punt to Evan's ribs when he tries to get up. Evan's ribs are taking a lot of abuse thus far in the match and that shows as Evan buckles when Storm's foot meets his ribs a second time and Storm finally picks him up for another Suplex, however this time he drops Evan belly-first on the top rope. Evan is suspended there for a moment before Storm runs to the ropes, springboards off the middle, and comes back with a Dropkick straight to the temple of Heir. Evan spins off of the top rope and lands awkwardly back on the canvas. Storm mockingly throws up Evan's "V" signal, which indeed does earn him boos from a majority of the fans in the audience as blatant disrespect is shown in this match. Storm picks Evan up and holds him, talking into his ear for a moment before he violently whips him across the rings to the turnbuckles-- however Evan runs up the turnbuckles and delivers a Corkscrew which takes!
Storm down to the delight of the crowd! Both men lie down in the center of the ring, but both are moving nonetheless.)
(Storm and Evan slowly pick themselves up, stumbling back until for a brief moment, they are back-to-back.)
HS: "And this... is tension."
(The crowd roars as both men tense up when their backs meet. After a few seconds, they turn towards each other, taking a few steps back. Evan shakes his head and pushes Storm back, throwing up his own proper "V" signal, mouthing off right in his face.)
(Storm just glares at Evan and returns the slap that started the match.)
HS: "And thus we've come full circle!"
(Evan doesn't take nearly as long as Storm did to respond; he immediately fires back with a stiff palm strike of his own. Storm returns the favor, and soon both men are wildly stiffing each other with whatever they can throw at the other; palms, fists, forearms, slaps, whatever comes to mind that can throw the other off his game.)
FJ: "...owowowowowowoOWOWOWOW!!!!"
(Getting frustrated with his lack of results, Evan decides that enough is enough and rebounds off the ropes, hitting a vicious headbutt right to the skull!)
FANS: "OHHHHHHH!!!"
(Storm groggily rebounds off the ropes as well and nails a headbutt of his own.)
FANS: "OHHH!!!"
(Evan shakes the cobwebs out of his head, but goes for another headbutt!)
HS: "These two will have a splitting headache by the time this match ends, and I don't think either gives a damn!"
(Storm lets out a primal scream before going off the ropes and nailing another headbutt!! Evan staggers back, trying to repeat the process anew, but when he comes back for another cranium collision, Storm moves out of the way and nails Evan with a sick lariat!! Evan manages to get to a sitting position, but only to show the dazed look on his face before falling down face first, the blood covering Evan's face in a crimson mask.)
HS: "What are these men trying to DO to each other?! I mean, a line has to be drawn."
FJ: "Herb, you think we've seen the worst of it? We haven't even hit a percentage."
(Storm, sitting on his fists and knees for a few seconds pulls himself and Evan off of the mat and throws Evan over the top rope. Evan hits the ground like a rag-doll and Storm takes his time walking out of the ring and down he steps. He walks to one of the trash cans that sit close to ringside and looks inside of it. He reaches in and pulls out a black bag. He tosses the black bag into the ring and that appears to be the only thing that was in the trash can as Jason picks it up and slams the can into Evan's spine. Evan Heir crawls to the steps and turns around, smashed in the face with the trash can a second time. Jason tosses the trash can over the top rope and into the ring before he rolls Evan in under the bottom rope. Jason crawls in as well and hits Evan with a stomp to the back for good measure before he picks up the black bag and holds it upside-down in the center of the ring. Hundreds of silver-and-black thumbtacks rain down onto the canvas.)
FJ: "Told you!"
HS: "No...no don't!!"
(Storm sets Evan up for a piledriver...but Evan sinks to a knee! The knee lands in the tacks, and causes a bloody Evan to grimace in pain, but he's obviously rather land knee first than head first into the tacks. Storm tries again, but Evan sinks to the other knee. Finally, Storm strains to pick up Evan, but overbalances; just the opportunity Evan was looking for to backdrop Storm right on the tacks!)
HS: "OH MY....!"
(Evan takes a moment to regain his composure before pulling himself to his feet. Storm manages to get up as well, but the thumbtacks distract him from doing anything as Evan boots him in the gut and nails the Yokosuka Cutter!"
FJ: "NO!!!"
HS: "STORM LANDED FACE-FIRST IN THE TACKS!!!!"
(Evan picks Storm up one last time. He puts him in a front facelock and finally delivers a Twist of Fate! Both men lie on the tacks and a "Holy shit!" chant has developed. Evan twitches a few times before he pulls himself to the ropes and rolls out of the ring. He pulls three thumbtacks from his knees and limps up the ramp. He smiles sadistically when he looks at a ladder. The crowd roars and Evan picks the ladder up, walking slowly to the ring.)
HS: "Evan Heir is probably the AWA master of the ladder. He knows 20 different ways to put you out of commission with it. Jason Storm knows this well and he's about to get a reminder, it seems."
(Storm finally picks his face up, trying to find Evan.)
FJ: "Oh gross!! There are tacks all over his face! Is there one in his eye!?!"
HS: "Thankfully no, but that won't be much of a consolation for Jason in a few moments."
(Jason crawls to the ropes and tries to pull himself up to his feet. He watches a grinning Evan come down the ramp, rapping on the ladder in an effort of intimidation. Storm waits for Evan to get close, and leaps over the top rope...but Evan almost casually throws the ladder at Storm, smashing him in the face and causing him to hit the mat.)
HS: "GOD!"
(Heir tosses his hair back behind his head and picks the ladder up. He drives it into Jason's sternum twice before he puts the ladder under the bottom rope, 3/5 of it on the inside of the ring and the rest under the bottom rope, sticking out dangerously. Evan picks Storm up by his hair and positions him between his legs and drives him onto the ladder with a Jackknife Powerbomb! Storm is lying horizontally on the ladder, groaning in pain. Evan gets into the ring and pulls Storm just a bit further up on the ladder so most of his body is on the outside with the ladder while his legs are in the ring. Evan goes back out to the apron and points to Storm before he runs on the apron and delivers a Running Shooting Star Press!)
FJ: "Ahhh!!!"
HS: "Like I said before, Evan knows twenty different ways to use a ladder, and about one thousand variations for each way! Storm's back has to be killing him!"
FJ: "On the bright side, at least it'll distract him from his poor face!"
(Heir pushes Storm and the ladder into the ring and rolls into the ring, himself. He sits on the ropes for a while, trying to think of what to do, before he walks over to Storm and picks him up... Locking in a Dragon Sleeper!)
FJ: "I'll be damned, a wrestling hold!"
HS: "Remember, it's a Nevada Knockout match! Similar to Last Man Standing, he who is unable to make some sign that they are still conscious will lose. I can't think of an easier way to do that then to choke the other person out!"
(Heir wrenches the hold. Storm seems to be fading, however, knowing that he'll lose, should he pass out, Storm begins flailing. Heir tries to tighten the hold and manages, but only derails Storm for a brief moment as Storm begins to deliver punches to the left side of Evan's head. Evan's face is already covered in blood, but the intensity is still clearly visible in his eyes. Jason finally twists around in Evan's arm and picks Evan up, driving him back-first to the mat with a Northern Lights Suplex! The counter was pure desperation as now, both men are lying in the ring. Most of the thumbtacks have been knocked out to the floor by now, save a few. Jason is the first to stir and we get a close-up as his face as he leans against the middle rope to regain composure. There is a deep cut over his left eye and small red dots along his chest and neck, courtesy of the Yokosuka Cutter and the Twist of Fate to the tacks. Storm pulls himself up with the top rope and Evan is on his k!
nees in the center of the ring.)
HS: "Catch a look at that face..."
FJ: "Oh, I'd rather not."
(Jason takes a moment to measure Evan...MID-SOUTH BOOT!!!)
HS: "He drove his face right the mat!"
FJ: "He doesn't look like he's done with him yet though, but Evan is crawling out to the ring apron!"
(Jason grabs Evan by the foot and pulls him back into the ring, tossing him into a neutral corner. Taking a moment to catch his breathe, Storm slowly begins to nail several karate kicks right to the upper chest of Evan...once...twice...thrice...four times! Storm grabs Evan by the head and bends him over before using the ropes to hit a leaping kick right to Evan's head! Adrenaline starting to pump in, Storm hobbles to the opposite corner, and stops his foot repeatedly. He gets a running start...)
HS: "Mid-South Boot in the corner!!! Oh the whip-lash!"
(Evan falls forward, landing face first. He once again makes for the ring-apron, and this time manages to get to the outside. Storm is right after him however, picking him up by the hair and getting him in a front-face lock...)
HS: "What's he going to do?"
FJ: "Give it too him Storm...BRAINBUSTER ON THE APRON!!!"
(For the first time during the match, the referee does something besides stay out of the combatants way; he goes to check on Evan.)
HS: "I almost forgot that the referee was even here-- hey, what's that?"
(The crowd is cheering and we see people making their way down the stairs in the audience. They don't seem to be rushing to the ring or anything of the sort, rather, simply looking for seats. We see that the people on the way to the ring are Sienna Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Jeff Harrison, and an older woman, who looks oddly familiar.)
FJ: "Looks like the whole Harrison clan and some woman. MILF alert, much?"
HS: "Leave it to you to turn everything into sex!"
(The referee no sooner declares Evan still conscious then Storm hits a quick boot to the side of the head. Storm starts to tear mats away from the concrete floor, unaware of the Harrison clan's presence.)
FJ: "I don't know if he doesn't know or doesn't care, but I hope Storm does something horrible in front of Evan's own mother! His gorgeous, older, MILF mother..."
HS: Smack!
FJ: "OW!"
(Heir rolls towards the stairs, using them to pull himself to his feet. Storm, done pulling the mats away walks towards Heir and grabs him by his hair, dragging him back towards the concrete. He signals for the end to the crowd and delivers a knee to Evan's midsection before Storm goes for the Sudden Revolution-- but Heir blocks it and drops Storm back-first to the concrete. Storm roars out in pain. Evan bends down, reaching for Storm, but stops when he catches a glimpse of a few of the people that get to the front row. The Harrisons and Mrs. Harrison take their seats. Mrs. Harrison puts her hands together and shakes her head, mouthing something to Evan. Evan's eyes are wide and he stands upright, stepping over Storm, making his way to the guardrail.)
HS: "Evan... What are you doing...You have this won!"
FJ: "I know what he's doing, the lucky dog..."
HS: Smack!
FJ: "AAAUUGGH!"
(Storm rolls on the floor in agony, unaware that he may have just been saved by the Harrisons. He does, however, recognize that he is in a bad way; crawling on his hands and knees toward Evan, he places a hand on his thigh to support himself...and hits his first low-blow of the evening!)
FJ: "And there go Mrs. Harrison's dreams of grandbabies!"
HS: "She already has grandbabies, Frank..."
(Evan leans on the guardrail to support himself, but Storm puts one hand on the waist of Evan's pants and the other on the base of his neck, delivering a sharp knee to his ribs before blowing a kiss to Mrs. Harrison and winking at Sienna. Both ladies give Storm a semi-cold look. Storm tosses Evan into the steel steps and they separate. Evan rolls over the bottom and towards the ramp, where he begins crawling. Storm walks up the ramp as well and grabs a Singapore cane. He smacks it against the ramp a few times, menacingly. He stalks Evan as he crawls and raises the cane high above his head... Snap! Crack! Two shots to the lower back of Evan are enough to ground the champion. The referee goes to check for consciousness. Evan responds to what the referee says and the match continues, but Storm is pointing the cane towards the Harrisons at this point. He then picks Heir up and begins to choke him with the cane. Evan cries out in misery, blood dripping from his forehead!
and his nose before Storm tosses him to the ground.)
CROWD: "Evan! Jason! Evan! Jason! EVAN! JASON!..."
(Jason Storm measures Evan Heir for a long moment. Evan manages to get to his hands and knees-- only to receive a buzzsaw kick to the face. Jason goes for a running knee strike, however, out of nowhere, Evan counters this with a Drop Toehold. Jason's jaw bounces off of the ramp and Evan crawls towards another ladder, sticking with what he knows best. He opens it, but keeps it on the ground. Evan gets to his feet as Storm is climbing to his knees, but Evan hits the PDA! The Super Kick gains a positive response from the crowd in Caesar's Palace and Storm twists, falling face-first onto the inside of the ladder. Evan grabs the other half and sandwiches Jason Storm within the ladder. He then grabs Storm's left ankle and locks in the Deposit!)
HS: "STORM HAS NOWHERE TO GO HERE!!! NOT EVEN TAPPING CAN SAVE HIM!"
(It may not have saved him, but from the flaying motions of his trapped arms, Storm looks like he was willing to give it a try if he were able.)
FJ: "Come on Storm! Think of something!"
(Storm manages to push himself up, opening the ladder and freeing himself. Evan simply adds pressure to the Deposit, content to just end the match this way. Storm begins the slow, painful process of edging the ladder out from under him, than parallel to him.)
HS: "What is he doing?"
FJ: "...thinking of...something?"
(Storm strains his muscles, and manages to pull the ladder up...then over...and then over just a little bit more, allowing gravity to take care of the rest! The ladder smashes into both men, but Evan is stunned enough to let go of Storm's ankle!)
HS: "Creative counter by Storm, but can he capitalize?!"
(Evan, after breathing heavily on the ground for a while reaches over and grabs a folding chair. He uses it to pull himself up to his feet. Jason Storm turns around and Evan slams the chair full-force into his skull. Storm deflects the blow as much as he can with his hands, but stumbles back and lands on back anyway. Evan throws the chair to the ground and it seems that his whole demeanor has changed. He turns and walks towards the weapons again, however he doesn't grab one thing, not two, but three things. Evan Heir picks up a chain and puts it across his shoulders, letting it dangle before he grabs the two wooden tables placed at ringside and begins walking to the top of the ramp.)
FJ: "The champ has some evil intentions, Herb. What does he need tables for? He could hit Storm with anything and take him out NOW."
HS: "Either he doesn't realize it or he wants to inflict more damage. We've seen Heir in this state before... And the results are never pretty. For anyone, Evan included."
(Heir sets the two tables up at the top of the ramp, placing one on top of the other. He then grabs the chain and puts it around his wrist before he walks towards a stirring Storm and grabs his wrist, tying the other end around his!)
HS: "Wha...what is Evan doing?!"
FJ: "Making sure there's no escape for either one, Herb!"
(Evan wraps the chain around Storm's throat and uses it to yank him over to the tables. Storm struggles uselessly, but 'useless' is indeed the key-word as Evan slams him head-first into the bottom table before setting him up on it. Evan looks around for something before he sees one of the light towers that is set beside the ramp. Smiling, he carefully walks over, making sure that the chain is long enough.)
FJ: "Oh man...!"
HS: "Heights plus Evan equals a bad time for his opponents!"
(Evan carefully, oh so carefully, crawls up the light tower. Every eye in the building is glued to the man of the moment, Evan Heir! Evan takes a moment to raised his chained arm in a V-sign...only for it to suddenly spasm. Evan's eyes widen as he looks along with everyone else back to the tables...to see a bloody and pissed Storm not even grinning at how he quite literally has Evan on the ropes. With a mighty heave, Storm yanks Evan off the light ramps, sending him crashing through the tables!)
CROWD: "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"
HS: "...In all my years..."
FJ: "HA! How do the Harrisons like THA-- eh?!"
(We see Mrs. Harrison has a hand over her mouth and her eyes are swelled with tears, however Jeff and Tyler are standing up, applauding Jason Storm. We do notice, however, that Sienna Harrison isn't even in her seat.)
HS: "I don't understand. Wh... I..."
(Our cameras return to the wreckage. We see Evan Heir struggling to move forward, but we also see a pair of heels step in front of the camera. A bloodied Evan Heir reaches towards the person standing in front of him, as if reaching for help.)
SIENNA: "Jason, please stop!"
(Sienna bends down and cradles her brother. Jason doesn't even look at Sienna. His eyes are locked on Evan. He slowly begins to wrap the chain completely around his own arm before he gives one violent yank. Evan is ripped out of Sienna's arms and Sienna shrieks. Jason has Evan by his throat. Sienna gets to her feet and pleads with Storm some more. Jason slowly turns and looks at Sienna. His expression changes from apathetic, to angry, to confused. He lets Evan go, but he points a finger at Sienna, screaming at her. He points back to her seat and then turns towards Evan again, but Storm is pulled onto Evan's shoulders. Evan delivers a Michinoku Driver at the top of the ramp! Both men are lying on the ground, motionless for a while before Evan twitches and opens his eyes, slowly pulling himself up. The crowd is in a frenzy and Evan staggers to his feet, signaling for the end. He walks towards Storm, but Sienna grabs his arm.)
SIENNA: "This is enough! You two both need to stop!"
HS: "Evan needs to listen to her..."
FJ: "No he doesn't! Keep going! Storm's down for the count, Evan, stop distracting yourself!"
(Evan looks at Storm for a moment and then looks up as if thinking about something before he grabs Sienna by the hair and screams in her face at the top of his lungs. Sienna is nearly reduced to tears as Evan shakes her, however Storm comes out of nowhere and hits Evan in the small of the back with a stiff punch. Evan falls past Sienna and hits the guardrail. Storm shakes his head and his dark hair is almost a reddish color now due to the excessive amount of blood that he lost, a second gash apparently being opened in his head when Evan slammed his head against the table... The Michinoku Driver only making it worse. Storm wipes blood out of his eyes and delivers a punt to Evan's ribs.)
HS: "Someone get poor Sienna out of there..."
FJ: "Storm's bringing Evan back to the ring!"
(Storm rolls Evan into the ring under the bottom rope and the chain slides off of Evan's wrist. Storm pulls the chain off of his own wrist and throws it into the ring. Storm then walks to Mrs. Harrison and looks at her for a long moment. Tyler and Jeff, who had been supporting Storm thus far, turn very serious when Storm gets in the face of their mother. Jason calmly reaches forward and safely removes the earring from a visibly shaken Mrs. Harrison's ear. He smirks and walks to a trash can at ringside again, reaching inside and pulling out a small brown paper bag. Storm finally makes his way into the ring. Sienna cautiously approaches ringside.)
HS: "Jason Storm has some bad intentions. He just put the brown bag and the earring in the corner. Now he's picking Evan up-- oh look out!"
(Storm is trying to force Heir to his feet, but Heir counters with a seated jawbreaker that knocks Storm against the ropes, though it seems to have hurt Evan almost as much as it hurt Jason Storm. When Storm comes back to Evan, Evan jumps up onto Storm's shoulders and then jumps back with a seated Facebuster! The crowd cheers as Evan, feeling the momentum, rolls out to the apron and ascends to the top turnbuckle. He makes a slitting motion across his throat before he leaps off, going for a Shooting Star Press Leg Drop! Evan appears to have connected, but we see that Jason was able to grab Evan's leg, not taking the full brunt of the attack. Storm has the wherewithal to roll to his feet before Evan can and catapult him into the ring ropes. Evan hits them, but manages to hang onto the top. He springboards off and comes towards Storm, landing on him for a Cross Body. Storm rolls through, however, and once again, the men begin exchanging hard rights and lefts, rolling around !
on the mat.)
HS: "This match means this much to these two men! We're reaching the twenty-five minute mark and these two are fighting their asses off!"
FJ: "These men are never going to live the same way!"
(Evan and Storm both think "headbutt" at the same moment, and both connect. Both fall to the ground, however Storm lands near the corner that he put the bag and the earring in. Evan falls to the center of the ring, face-down. After a few seconds, both of them get to their feet, but Storm has his back turned to Evan. Evan walks towards Storm. Storm twists around-- and rips the piercing of the earring across Evan's face, leaving a visible red line from his left ear, down to his shoulder. Evan falls to the ground and begins twitching on the canvas. Mrs. Harrison is in tears in the crowd, while most of the crowd is booing the actions of Jason Storm.)
HS: "Oh, you've gotta be-- enough is enough. Ring the damn bell."
FJ: "That was harsh. And now Storm is playing mindgames with TWO generations of Harrisons."
(The referee goes to check on Evan, but despite he's pain and inactivity, he is still with us. Storm grabs the bag and rolls outside of the ring, walking back over towards the concrete. Taking the back, he pours its contents all over the floor...)
FJ: "Whatisitwhatisit...?!"
HS: "...broken glass. He's using Goddamned broken glass!"
(Storm grabs Evan by the leg and yanks him violently to the floor, before setting up for a powerbomb! Mrs. Harrison, at this point, is on her feet, pleading for Jason to stop. Evan is dropped, unable to move a muscle, while Storm goes over to Mrs. Harrison.)
MH: "PLEASE! Jason, PLEASE, STOP! He's-- he's a CHILD!"
(Tyler and Jeff groan and throw their hands up, shaking their heads. Sienna is looking at Evan in an odd way and she walks out of frame while Jason responds to Mrs. Harrison.)
STORM: "He's a monster."
(Jason walks over to a fan at ringside and rips his beer bottle out of his hands. Walking back over to the concrete, the broken glass, and Evan, Storm turns it up and empties its contents over Evan's head while looking impassively right at a teary-eyed Mrs. Harrison. Never breaking eye-contact with the older woman, Storm takes the now empty beer bottle over his head...and smashes it on the ground.)
MH: "STOP IT! Take his belt! Do what you want, just leave him alone!"
(Mrs. Harrison puts her hands together, looking at Jason.)
MH: "Leave my baby alone."
STORM: "You think this is about BELTS?!"
(Storm yanks Evan up and gets Evan up for a powerbomb again; this time though, he doesn't hesitate or wait on Mrs. Harrison before hoisting the man up and slamming him into the concrete and glass!)
HS: "NO! NO-NO-NO!!!!"
FJ: "You...you don't do that in front of someone's mother!"
(Storm walks over to Mrs. Harrison again, placing his arms against the guardrail and leaning into her. Tyler and Jeff prepare to defend their mother, but Storm has no intention of laying a finger on her.)
STORM: "It's too late for apologies, too late for forgiveness. Your son crossed a line, now he has to man up and pay the price."
MH: "He doesn't... Understand... Please..."
(By this time we see that Sienna Harrison has two chairs in her hand and she is walking behind Jason. She has an intense look in her eyes.)
FJ: "Jason turn around!"
HS: "HIT HIM, SIENNA! Do the right thing!"
(Storm just shakes his head in disgust at the mother of his enemy before turning around...only to back up at the sight of an armed Sienna. Storm's mouth half opens, and points at her in warning.)
FJ: "Don't you do it, Sienna! It wouldn't be the first time he laid hands on you!"
HS: "He's in no condition to handle her now!"
(Sienna says something back to Storm. She walks closer to him, seeing that he's barely able to walk or even stand without support from the guardrail. Every time blood hits the ground, Sienna takes a step closer. She continues speaking to Storm, shaking her head, whispering evil things.)
HS: "Yes! Do it! Hit the son of a bitch!"
FJ: "Sienna, think about this!"
(The crowd is on their feet and their screams are deafening, however Sienna moves past Storm and tosses one of the chairs over the rail and onto the concrete. Sienna hops the guard-rail and walks towards her little brother, who is crawling towards the rail, a few shrapnels stuck in his back. Sienna delivers a punt to the temple! The crowd boos and the arena nearly shakes. Evan's head lands on top of the chair and Sienna holds the other one, looking down at Evan with disgust.)
HS: "...No..."
FJ: "Oh God."
(Storm looks...as shocked as anyone, but does about the only thing he can physically do without adrenaline...sink to his backside and watch.)
HS: "No, no, no, NO, NO!"
(Sienna raises the chair above her head and slams it down against Evan's skull. Evan's body twitches once before he is still. He looks up at Sienna out of the corner of his eye, the only thing visible above his neck that isn't soaked in red. Sienna gives him a look of apathy and tosses the chair aside. Evan Heir's eye slowly closes.)
FJ: "Is...is Evan out?!"
HS: "He could be....!"
(A loud "You suck!" chant has developed as Sienna hops the rail again and begins walking up the ramp, not looking back at Jason, Evan, or her family. Referees and paramedics with a stretcher rush past her, however, and the bell rings.)
HS: "Nothing official yet, but... I think that this match has been stopped."
FJ: "Why?! Evan's out! Storm wins!"
HS: "STORM didn't knock Evan out!"
FJ: "So... We have no winner?"
HS: "No. This match ends a no-contest."
(Jason looks confused and unsure what to do. He stomps his foot on the ground in frustration, cursing obscenities. The guard rail is opened and the referees rush in to pull Evan off of the chair. Storm sighs and turns, watching on with his hands on his hips. He looks down at Evan for a long moment. The paramedics set up the stretcher next to Evan's prone body. Storm, shaking his head, curses under his breath and gets down behind Evan's head, helping support his head and load him onto the stretcher while the referees and a paramedic support the rest of Evan's body.)
HS: "And THAT is sportsmanship, ladies and gentlemen. Jason Storm understands what just happened. He's sick, he's twisted, but he's not evil."
(Storm whispers into Evan's ear while Evan is put down on the stretcher.)
(Storm whispers into Evan's ear while Evan is put down on the stretcher.)
STORM: "This was supposed to be one on one. Damnit. She doesn't get to end your career."
(Storm backs away from Evan and watches as the stretcher is wheeled away and then he begins to follow as Evan is wheeled up the ramp.)
FJ: "It seems more than Storm wants Evan to hurry up and get better so he can finish him off himself! Storm doesn't want some WOMAN stealing his glory!"
(An "Evan!" chant erupts as Evan is wheeled farther and farther up the ramp.)
HS: "Let's see a replay of this sickening One Woman Con-Chair-To."
(We cut to a replay and we see from three different angles, Sienna slamming the chair right across Evan's head, sandwiching Evan's skull between the two steel chairs. We then cut back to real time and Evan is near the top of the ramp, Storm helping push the stretcher along at this point, however out of nowhere, Evan hops off of the stretcher and takes Storm to the ground with a Clothesline!)
HS & FJ: "WHAAAATTT?!"
(The referee is shocked for a few seconds, but he runs back to the ring and demands that the timekeeper rings the bell again.)
HS: "THIS MATCH HAS JUST BEEN RESTARTED! Sweet God!"
FJ: "And we've hit the thirty-five minute mark, Herb!"
(Evan pounds Storm with a hard right hand every time Storm starts to get up. Storm looks angrier each and every time. Evan hits a spinning kick to the ribs of Jason Storm and then finally nails him with a Sudden Revolution at the top of the ramp, stealing Jason's former signature maneuver! Jason's body goes limp on the ground. Evan holds his back on the ground for a moment and he crawls towards the edge of the ramp, watching Jason Storm. The referee bends down and shakes Storm. Storm doesn't move... The referee signals for the bell, but Storm suddenly reaches out and grabs his leg. The crowd is on their feet and the arena is literally shaking at this point. Storm is dazed and confused. It appears that his nose has been literally shattered as blood literally pours from his face. Storm crawls on his fists and his knees towards Evan.)
FJ: "Jason might need that stretcher next!"
(Evan smiles down at Storm, pointing at his crawling rival and throwing up V-signs, paying Storm no heed even when he finally collapses at Evan's feet.)
(Evan picks Storm up by his hair and brings him towards the stretcher. Heir lifts Storm up and slams him across the stretcher with a Scoop Slam! Storm's back arches when he hits the stretcher and then Storm re-positions the stretcher. He points to the edge of the ramp and then yells "BOOM!" to the delight of the crowd.)
HS: "GOD NO!"
FJ: "He's going to throw him right off the stage!"
(Evan begins to wheel the stretcher to the edge of the stage, however...)
HS: "Storm is done for! Trickery by Evan may win him this match...why's Storm reaching inside his tights?"
FJ: "Grabbing his junk and kissing it good-bye...?"
(Storm's hand suddenly jerks...and powder comes flying in Evan's face!)
HS: "What the...?!
HS: "Ha-ha! Storm may be the 'Future', but you don't get much more old-school then that! Winners always have a last ace in the hole!"
(Storm rolls off the stretcher as Evan falls back. Jason then uses the stretcher to haul himself to his feet when he suddenly stops, as if something caught his eye.)
HS: "Storm's walking over to somewhere, what's he...oh my, ANOTHER Singapore cane!"
FJ: "How many of those damn things did Storm make sure were here?!"
(Jason walk's over to a blinded Evan slowly, the very wrath of God upon him. Storm reaches up and swings the cane down across Evan's left shoulder. Evan grabs his shoulder. Storm reaches up and swings it down on his other shoulder. Evan cries out in pain and falls onto the ramp. Storm smashes the cane against Evan's spine two more times and then lets it roll down the ramp. Jason picks Evan up and hits him with a chop across the chest. Evan falls backwards over the stretcher and onto the ramp once more. Storm walks over to Evan and goes to pick him up once more, but Evan pushes Storm away and with what little vision he has, runs forward and delivers a hard kick to the gut of Storm. Storm wails out in pain and bends over. Evan performs a split in front of Storm, earning applause from the crowd for sheer athletic ability and rocks Storm with a stiff uppercut. Blood flies from Storm's mouth and he staggers backwards, teetering over the edge of the ramp.)
HS: "He's... He's going to fall! No! Evan, get him away!"
(Evan grabs the cane and angrily crawls to his feet. He swings and hits a stiff shot to the ribcage of Storm and then one across the base of his neck. The cane breaks in half and falls over the ramp. The camera records the fall and the cane tumbles twelve feet to the cement below. Evan waits for Storm to get all the way to his feet. A bloodied Storm watches, seemingly helpless as Evan backs away and then sprints forward. Evan jumps onto the shoulders of Jason Storm and twists around, going for a Hurricanrana, but Storm catches his balance and Evan! He picks Evan up onto his shoulders again and then allows him to fall forward just a bit before... KAWADA DRIVER! Storm drives Evan and himself off of the ramp, outward, and about twelve feet onto two tables set up with equipment below. Sparks fly and two explosions occur, sending metal, sparks, and wood everywhere. A "HOLY SHIT!" chant develops. Evan and Storm are both lying motionless on the ground. The referee runs down to the concrete and observes the damage.)
FJ: "...That was a little too much, even for me."
HS: "This is just a small example of what these two men will do to their bodies to get one-up over the other. These two men have spent the better part of forty minutes beating the hell out of each other. And it's come down to this. We've seen everything in this match. Blood. Sweat. Tears. Betrayal. We've seen poetry in the form of a match. We saw a story play out before our eyes, but this is far from a storybook ending-- oh, hey, referee McGreggor has a microphone!"
(The referee asks both men if they're still able to compete after he, and several other referees are able to move the wreckage away from the two men. After twenty seconds neither man responds, however Jason Storm twitches. He coughs up blood and groans. McGreggor turns and signals for the bell.)
DING!
DING!
DING!
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to have to assume that was a response. For the sake of the LIVES of these two men, Jason Storm has been declared the winner."
FJ: "Yes, but at what cost? Will he even be able to ever wrestle again?!"
HS: "If it's any consolation, Jason Storm is the new AWA United States champion."
FJ: "This was never about the gold, Herb. Both of these men got what they wanted. Labeling one at the winner... Don't kid yourself. You know who the real winner tonight was?"
HS: "Sienna Harrison?"
FJ: "Yes... And these fans. Listen to this ovation."
(The fans in the arena are on their feet roaring at the top of their lungs for the two men. "Biggest and the Best" his the PA system and another two stretchers are brought to the ramp.)
HS: "While these two men are taken away, let's show you some highlights from this match."
(For about 60 seconds, highlights and spots from the match are shown, including Evan's modified Coast to Coast, Storm receiving a Twist of Fate on the thumbtacks, Storm hitting Evan with a Brainbuster from the apron to the floor, Storm snapping a Singapore cane across Evan's back, Evan Heir being driven through two tables, Evan hitting a Springboard Cross Body and the two men exchanging punches, Sienna hitting a One Woman Con-Chair-To on her brother, Evan playing possum and attacking Storm after jumping off the stretcher, Evan hitting Storm with his own singapore cane, and finally, the conclusion of the match, a Kawada Driver twelve feet through two tables littered with equipment and to the concrete.)
FJ: "And we return to the aftermath."
HS: "This fued has been boiling for twelve months and it's finally come to an end. Lord have mercy."
(Storm and Heir are wheeled away on opposite sides of the arena. Storm has his arms folded over his chest and the United States title lies on his stomach. Evan Heir is wheeled away with his arms limp at his sides, but he slowly manages to lift them up, forming a weak "V" signal before his arms fall limp again and the crowd roars in approval before both men are wheeled out of sight and we fade to black.)
HS: "Let's...let's roll something. Anything..."
(The scene starts with nothing but black screen. After several moments the voice of Logan Alexander comes through clearly.)
LOGAN: "This is a moment that has been a long time in coming... my first World title defense on pay per view. It took a long time to get here, but that makes this moment all the more sweeter now that it's here. All that's left to do is play out the story and see where is goes. The other man that is competing against me in order to write out his destiny here happens to be my first true rival in the AWA."
"Terry James and I have a long history together. He spilled my blood a few years ago to get my attention and go after my title."
January 22, 2006...
HS: "Hold on, I've just gotten word that Chaos Stryke has been found in his dressing room unconscious!"
(The camera switches to a view of Logan Alexander's dressing room and we can see that he is on the floor, motionless and bleeding badly. EMT's rush in and do a quick bandage job before getting him on a stretcher and rushing him out of the room. This reveals something on the floor. A message is written in blood. It reads: "FIRST BLOOD!")
HS: "Oh my god! What a brutal message from the Canucks!"
FJ: "I love it!"
HS: "The Canucks have attacked the US champ and sent a message to The Medics for their match tonight! It looks like The Canucks have spilt the first blood tonight! Will this happen in their match as well?"
LOGAN: "He handed me my first big match defeat."
February 26, 2006...
HS: "What is Logan trying to do here?"
FJ: "I think he wants to end this once and for all!"
(Terry slowly reaches his feet and turns around, only to be hoisted back up onto Logan's shoulders once more! Logan drops the chair he was holding onto the ice, but suddenly Terry shifts his weight and pushes Logan forward. Logan stumbles and turns around, catching a chair that was flying at him. He soon realizes that he shouldn't have done this as Terry super kicks the chair right into Logan's face!)
FJ: "The Conductor! That's it! This one's done!"
HS: "I'm going to have to agree with you there Frank. Logan got too greedy and it's going to cost him!"
FJ: "No Terry! Don't do it!"
(Terry has helped Logan to his feet! He now grabs Logan by the head with one hand and the steel chair with the other. He gets up onto the section of the boards that does now have the glass, pulling Logan up with him. He places the steel chair on his shoulder, than places Logan's head on the steel chair and looks down to the ice.)
FJ: "This is it right here!"
HS: "Terry is going for the Thunder Stunner off the boards with a steel chair!"
(Terry positions himself properly before leaping off the boards and down onto the ice with the steel chair and Logan's head on his shoulder. As Terry hits the ice Logan's face smashes straight into the steel chair before forces up by Terry's shoulder and his head viscously whiplashes. Logan drops to the ice, out cold, and Terry goes to his knees. The count on the PA system starts up. Terry, Herb and Frank count along with it.)
All: "One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight! Nine! TEN!"
HS: "Terry James has won the United States championship!"
FJ: "It's time for the king to take his place on the throne!"
HS: "Thunder hit Logan three times tonight for him to finally be defeated, but he was defeated."
LOGAN: "He's also the first person who inspired a shift in my mindset and in ring approach. He beat me when I was still inexperienced and that may have been the best thing that could have happened to me then. I was forced to cope with large scale failure here for the first time."
"One of the best measures of a competitor is how successful they are. Another one is seeing how well they rebound from failure. Terry and I kept after one another for a month after that, but there was also a third entrant in our little battle, one that seemed to hold the upper hand on Terry for the time being, but couldn't do the same against me."
March 19, 2006...
FJ: "Mighty fine match we have here!"
HS: "Sick! Terry James tries to really hurt Holly there, but thank goodness the giant decided that it was time to show the US Champ who's boss and gave it right back to him."
FJ: "Yeah, Terry's attitude seems to be changing, and in my book, it's changing towards the better. It's not a bad deal to get a little bit more aggressive than your opponent every now and then."
(Holly brings Terry to his feet and whips him into the ropes. He tries for the big boot, but Terry ducks, turns, and chop blocks Holly's left leg. Holly goes down to one knee but he's soon to get up. Terry runs towards him for a clothesline, but Holly ducks and then grabs Terry by the throat. The crowd goes into a frenzy as Holly is about to chokeslam Terry, but Terry kicks Holly in the gut. Terry whips Holly into the corner, but Holly reverses and Terry slams into the turnbuckles and breakneck speeds. Holly charges over, grabs Terry by the throat and the two climb the turnbuckles. Holly goes to put Terry on the Journey to Hell, but Terry kicks Holly in the groin. Terry kicks Holly to the mat and Terry watches as Holly staggers around. Terry calls for a hurricanrana from the top rope and he waits until Holly turns around. Holly turns and Terry jumps into the air to hit the hurricanrana, but Holly catches Terry, tosses him into the air, and he hits Raisin' Hell!)
HS: "Oh my! Terry's own high flying put him in harms way! Holly covers...ONE...TWO...THREE!"
FJ: "NO!"
HS: "We have a new United States Champion! Hellraisin' Holly is now our new United States Champion and his first defense will be at Springs and Breaks when he defends it against now former Champion Terry James, Logan Alexander, and John Rourke!"
LOGAN: "That was the first point of separation between us. Terry didn't rebound from his loss against Steve 'Hellraisin' Holly. I rebounded from the loss to Terry at Springs and Breaks in 06..."
March 26, 2006...
(Terry continues to stand in the corner behind John as he slowly rises to his feet. Rourke finally gets up and turns around, still a bit dazed. Terry lunges forward and nearly kicks Rourke's head off! John drops to the canvas, knocked out, and Terry falls off to the side out of exhaustion!)
FJ: "Pin him Terry!"
HS: "All four men are down! Terry just has to muster the strength to get his arm draped over Rourke's body and he will have his United States title back!"
(The ref's head darts around, trying to see who will get up first. Terry starts showing signs of life, but suddenly "Right to Censor" by Fifty Stars Anger hits on the PA system. Terry immediately looks up with a random burst of energy. He stands up and starts yelling to the entrance. Sure enough, Xtreme Jeff comes out after a few moments in his wrestling attire. Terry looks around and sees everyone is still down, pointing towards his former tag team partner.)
FJ: "No Terry! Pin Rourke!"
HS: "Terry is making a huge mistake here! He shouldn't let Xtreme Jeff distract him!"
(Terry steps out through the ropes and hops down to the ground as XTJ starts to head down the ramp. The ref yells at Terry, advising him to pin John Rourke, but The Storm suddenly sprints after XTJ! XTJ starts to sprint as well and the gap closes quickly, but as Terry goes to punch his former best friend, XTJ ducks under it and continues running down to the ring. He passes by the ring and continues into the crowd and Terry skids to a stop. He turns around and follows XTJ, but out of nowhere gets dropped by a clothesline courtesy of Logan Alexander!)
HS: "Terry just got caught with a huge clothesline!"
FJ: "Why did he have to chase Xtreme Jeff?"
(XTJ stops running through the crowd to look on as Logan realizes he is the only one standing and looks to the ring, where Rourke is still lying on the canvas. Alexander quickly enters the ring and pins Rourke! The ref goes down and starts the count!)
(One! Terry slowly gets to his knees and hands on the outside.)
(Two! Terry gets up to his feet and sees Alexander pinning Rourke. He suddenly bolts under the ropes and lunges in to break up the count!)
(Three! Terry breaks up the count, but he's too late!)
HS: "Logan Alexander just stole the match! Terry had it in the bag!"
FJ: "Of course he had it in the bag! He's Terry James!"
HS: "Well, it looks like Terry let his emotions get to him and it cost him greatly!"
(Terry just slumps onto his knees and almost pulls his hair out as he realizes what just happened. The ref calls for the bell and raises Chaos Stryke's hand in victory. Terry just looks on as the United States title belt gets handed over to Alexander, but then he suddenly looks up to the crowd where XTJ is still looking on. Terry gets up and dashes through the ropes to the floor, than hops the barrier and starts to sprint after XTJ like a mad man. XTJ just runs through the crowd and both men are soon out of sight.)
LOGAN: "...and then I did the same against Holly three weeks later after he'd beaten me for the US title the previous week."
April 9, 2006...
HS: "Holly is going to try to end the match again!"
FJ: "Terry is getting up!"
(As Holly stalks Logan, Terry is pulling himself up using the ropes. He now starts to stalk Holly as Holly continues to stalk Logan! Logan is now up to his feet, looking at the crowd in a daze.)
HS: "This could get interesting!"
(Logan turns around into the clutching hand of Holly! Holly holds onto Logan's neck as he climbs to the top turnbuckle, but he doesn't see that Terry is still stalking behind him! As Holly turns around Terry dashes up the turnbuckle, but Holly catches him with his unoccupied hand! He now has both Logan and Terry by the neck as he lifts them both into the air and slams them both down to the canvas below simultaneously!)
HS: "Holly just sent both Terry and Logan on a Journey to Hell!"
FJ: "Damnit!"
(Holly collapses from the turnbuckle, draping an arm over both of his opponents' chests. XTJ gets into position for the count. One! Two! Three! XTJ calls for the bell as Kid Rock's "Devil Without a Cause" blares over the sound system. He tosses the United States championship belt to Holly, who is now up and raising his arms in victory. Holly catches the belt and exits the ring, then heads to the back. Logan rolls out of the ring and heads to the back as well.)
April 16, 2006...
(Holly and Logan are up to their feet now and locked up in the collar and elbow. After trying to get the upper hand, both men topple over the tope rope and land on the floor outside the ring. Logan is slow to get up, as is Holly, but Steve manages to get up and grab Logan by the throat. He lifts him into the air and slams him down to the mat. He catches a glimpse of Frank yawning and falling in and out of sleep, so he grabs Logan by the throat again and chokeslams him through the announce table with Frank crashing to the floor as well.)
HS: "HAHAHAHAHAHA! I told you so!"
FJ: "What the [BEEP] just happened? I was with Miss USA and then I hit the floor."
HS: "Holly caught you catching some z's."
FJ: "Party crasher!"
(Holly rolls into the ring and then out to break the referee's count out. Holly picks Logan up to his feet and rolls him into the ring. Holly gets in and covers Logan...)
HS: "...ONE...TWO...- And Logan kicks out just before the three. What great endurance this young blue chipper has."
FJ: "Blue chipper? What the hell are you talking about?"
HS: "I was...nevermind."
(Holly lifts Logan to his feet and traps both his arms and then starts to deliver headbutts on the head of the challenger. Holly releases and then spears Logan to the mat. Holly gets to his feet and drops a leg on Logan and covers...)
HS: "...ONE...TWO...THREE!"
FJ: "What the hell are you talking about. He had his foot on the rope you idiot!"
HS: "You're watching?"
FJ: "No, I'm drawing...of course I am."
(Holly has his hands raised in victory, but the referee talks to him about how Logan put his foot on the bottom rope before the three count was over. holly turns to Logan, but Alexander nails a missile drop kick on Holly. Holly gets to his feet, but Logan jumps for the Stryke Force. Holly shrugs it off, grabs Logan by the throat, lifts him into the air in the military press, but Logan slips off connects with the Stryke Force. Logan covers...)
HS: "...ONE...TWO...THREE! Logan wins!"
FJ: "About time this match is over. By the way, which title number is this...three US title for him? Two or something, I don't know...I don't care."
(Logan raises his hands into the air holding the title up into the air.)
HS: "Logan Alexander is now the United States champion for the third time."
LOGAN: "But our mutual battles with Holly gave us a commonality and in just over a month the animosity between us was gone, and Terry and I became partners. We helped to establish a strong team and quickly set out to get noticed by those around us. We had our good times and our bad, but we stayed together through the worst of it. Or so we'd thought..."
November 12, 2006...
(As the referee slowly gets on all fours outside of the ring, ROD and Debbie hold Logan each by one arm. Low grabs the chair that has already busted him open and starts badmouthing Logan. Suddenly, the crowd's boos turn into cheers as Jayson Price, a chair in his hand, comes running down the ramp.)
HS: "Finally somebody is going to do something about this travesty."
(The referee is now back on his knees and slowly moving towards the ring apron. Misery slides into the ring just as Low is about to hit Logan with the chair. Misery charges at Low and swings the chair at him, but at the last split-second ROD warns Low and Low ducks, causing Misery to nail his own partner Logan Alexander with the chair! The referee pulled himself up using the bottom rope and the apron to see Misery hitting Logan with the chair. He calls for the bell.)
HS: "What!?!?"
FJ: "Misery just turned on Logan! Misery just helped Low!"
HS: "No he did not, idiot! It was an accident, brought upon by these scheming thugs. The referee was down and out and didn't see what just transpired here."
FJ: "What's his decision?"
HS: "Whatever his decision is, this entire thing is BS. It's a travesty."
(Low, ROD and Debbie quickly get out of the ring while a apologetic Misery tends to his fallen partner, Logan. The referee talks to the ring announcer.)
RING ANNOUNCER: "Ladies and gentlemen, as a result of a disqualification, your winner: Logan Alexander! However, STILL the AWA World Heavyweight Champion: The Legendary Low!"
LOGAN: "I took the next step. I shattered the team and radically altered our directions."
November 26, 2006...
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, during the break, it seems there was some controversy in the ECW locker room!"
('MOMENTS AGO' flashes on the Ameritron as the scene cuts to backstage and comes back into focus as the cameraman is just arriving at the doorway to the locker room of ECW. Inside, EMT's hurriedly work around the prone and bloody form of Terry James. Logan is standing off to one side staring down at Terry worriedly. A short distance away from Terry, a maple leaf has been drawn on the floor with his blood with an 'L' drawn in the center of it.)
LOGAN: "Is he going to be okay?"
(One of the EMT's turns to Logan.)
EMT: "He should be fine... Whoever got him really did a number on him."
LOGAN: "Take good care of him."
(Logan turned and headed for the door, quite angry and upset.)
LOGAN: "There's going to be hell to pay for this..."
(He stepped out into the hall and disappeared as the cameraman turned back to Terry and the EMT's. The scene faded out and cut back to Herb and Frank.)
...
(The scene cuts backstage again to where we can see Logan Alexander making his way through the halls. It doesn't appear as though he's gotten any happier since he was last seen with Terry.)
LOGAN: "Damnit... Where is he?"
(He pauses and looks around the nearby hallways. He spots something down one hall behind the cameraman. His eyes narrow and he clenches his jaw. Logan pushes the cameraman and hurries off along the hallway.)
LOGAN: "Hey! I've been looking for you!"
(The camera is jostled by Logan as he goes past and it's several moments later that the cameraman, reorients and steadies the camera. He catches sight of Logan who is running over towards Jayson Price. Jayson turns and looking a little surprised that Logan is here, glances back.)
JAYSON: "Yeah? What for?"
(Logan stops in front of Jayson.)
LOGAN: "Well, I'd like to know where the hell you were earlier!"
JAYSON: "What business is it of yours?"
LOGAN: "Well while you off doing whatever Terry got the stuffing beaten out of him in our own dressing room! Why weren't you there?"
(Jayson glares back at him.)
JAYSON: "Excuse me?! Are you suggesting that this is MY fault?"
LOGAN: "Oh noooo... not at all. I'd NEVER suggest that."
(Onlookers glance at the two tag partners as the tension between them grows.)
JAYSON: "Well before you go pointing fingers, it seems pretty obvious that you weren't there either!"
LOGAN: "Oh! So that's supposed to be my role here in ECW! I'm supposed to just sit back and watch your backs? I guess that seems rather fitting considering the support I got in my match with Low!"
JAYSON: "What the hell are you on about?! I came out there to help you!"
LOGAN: "Sure you did! You blasted me over the head with a chair and cost me the shot I had earned by beating you!"
JAYSON: "Oh yeah... You think I screwed up your big chance. Just take a look in the mirror and you'll know who cost you your opportunity that night."
(Logan took a step back from Jayson, clenching his fists slightly.)
LOGAN: "I just knew you'd say that... The simple fact is that you and Terry don't give a damn about me. You both just left me hanging two weeks ago. Then lo and behold you were supposed to get your shot at Low last week. Me getting disqualified was the best thing that happened to you. You would have the shot you had been looking for and all you had needed to get it was to hit me with a chair. Hell if Low hadn't tricked his way out of it, everything would have just gone perfectly for you!"
JAYSON: "I'm not going to stand here and listen to this, especially not from you."
(Jayson turned and started to walk away from Logan.)
LOGAN: "Well... once I'm finished beating Low. I'll gladly show you again why you lost at Last Man Standing."
(Jayson came to a halt and glared back at Logan, who just turned and walked off. Jayson glanced towards the camera.)
JAYSON: "What are you looking at?"
(The cameraman took the hint and left. The scene cut back to Herb and Frank.)
...
(The fans erupt in the loudest ovation of the night as "Fever For The Flavor" begins to play. Jayson Price is motioning for the outside referee to open the cage and hand him his newly won AWA No Limits title, when suddenly Debbie Stone is seen among the fans as she climbs over the guardrail. She grabs the referee and sends him head first into the steel cage. Price yells at Debbie, when suddenly a groggy Low nails Price with a low blow. Price sinks to the ground and Low mounts him. He wipes some of the blood from his face and suddenly starts to nail Price with a series of forearms to the head.)
HS: "And again he does to Price what he did to Stevens at Last Man Standing."
FJ: "He's in another bloodrush."
(The crowd boos as Low nails Price with elbow after elbow. As Low hits his 15th elbow, Logan Alexander has finally recovered enough to pull the still-reigning AWA World Champion of the new No Limits Champion.)
HS: "Finally he stopped it!"
(Logan shoves Low and asks him if he's gone insane. He points to his fallen friend and threatens Low, daring him to lay a hand on him. But suddenly, Logan Alexander starts putting the boots to Misery!)
HS: "WHAT THE - !?!?"
FJ: "Logan just turned on Misery!"
HS: "And Low is joining in on the attack!"
(Low and Logan are now both stomping away at any and all bodyparts of Jayson Price. The crowd goes nuts. Logan now grabs Price's legs and applies his version of the Sharpshooter, the Chaos Breaker. Low joins in by applying the All-Time Low on Price's upper body.)
HS: "Oh my god, they're going to break him!"
FJ: "Hey, I was as angry at Low for faking his death as anybody, but I have to admit, this is pretty cool!"
HS: "Oh, shut up, Frank!"
(The crowd suddenly begins to cheer as the third ECW member Terry James is making his way down the ramp, his head in crimson bandages. He quickly walks over to the fallen referee and grabs the key. He goes to open the cage door and help his friend Jayson Price. James puts the key in and unlocks the door, slightly opening it, but suddenly Debbie Stone holds on to his legs and prevents him from entering the cage. Terry is able to shake her off, though, but it was enough of a distraction for Logan, who has released the Chaos Breaker and kicks against the cage door. The door quickly swings open and nails the already injured Terry right into the side of the head and he sinks to the ground as if he's been shot. Low now releases the All-Time Low.)
HS: "These two bastards, they must have been planning this all along. The Triple Threat Match, the No Limits title being on the line, the steel cage. I bet the only part of the plan that didn't work out was scheming to give the No Limits title to Logan."
FJ: "Price might have won the match, but it was Logan and Low who got the last laugh!"
LOGAN: "I set out and proved that I was the best of us by any means necessary."
December 17, 2006...
(Logan reaches his feet and Terry and Jayson both go for a headshot with the chairs. Logan ducks at the last second and the two chairs hit into each other instead. They both drop them and wave their hands around, allowing for Logan to pick one up himself. Jayson turns around and WHACK! Jayson gets nailed right between the eyes with the chair, courtesy of Logan. Logan turns around and Terry super kicks Logan's chair into his face, much to the liking of the thousands in attendance!)
HS: "Super Conductor! Terry James hit the Super Conductor!"
JV: "Man, I could totally do that better than him. I can see it now...me hitting Logan with my Super Gloria..."
(Terry rolls Logan into the ring and quickly slides in himself, going for the pin! The ref goes down and counts: One! Two! Three!!! A scoreboard now appear on our screen just above the timer and displays the scores for TJ, JP and LA. TJ now has a 1 beside his name.)
HS: "Terry James gets the first fall!"
...
(Logan suddenly rolls into the ring, grabbing something on the way in. Jayson turns on the spot to go to Logan, but when Logan gets up Jayson finds himself being smacked across the head with his own signature briefcase! Jayson goes down and the ref calls for the fall to be counted in Jayson's favor!)
JV: "What an idiot!"
HS: "Why the Hell did Logan just disqualify himself?"
FJ: "Don't worry, boys. It's all part of the plan."
(Terry sees what Logan did and slides in under the bottom ropes. Logan turns around and blasts Terry over the head with the briefcase! Terry goes down and the ref again calls for a fall to be awarded! Logan quickly covers Terry and the scampers over to count: One! Two! Three!!)
JV: "Well, that was strangest plan I've ever seen!"
FJ: "Logan got a fall, did he not?"
JV: "Yeah...but he gave Terry AND Jayson a fall too."
HS: "Yes, but he has also taken out both Terry and Jayson without affecting the score, since all three gained a fall. It is a smart move, even if it is cheating."
...
HS: "It looks like someone is about to be Thunderstruck!"
JV: "Oh, cool, so I get to see what it actually looks like now."
HS: "You already saw it when Terry hit the Super Conductor. It's a super kick."
JV: "Oh. What a copy cat!"
(Logan now gets up and Terry lunges forward for his trademark super kick! Logan ducks and catches Terry with the Chaotic Inversion! However, Logan can't capitalize as Jayson suddenly pulls him into Life's Final Jest! Jayson pins and the ref goes down to count: One! Two! Three!! The scoreboard is updated: Two for TJ, two for JP and one for LA.)
JV: "YEAH! THERE'S THE JAYSON PRICE I NEVER BEAT! Although I totally could."
HS: "Well, this certainly isn't a low-scoring match! Everyone is hitting the big moves and making those pins when they count."
FJ: "Its pure chaos and I love it!"
...
HS: "My God! Logan is getting up, but his face is completely red from his own blood still!"
FJ: "I told you he would be back!"
(Terry doesn't see this, because he's facing the wrong way, but Jayson does. Jayson holds on for dear life as Logan stumbles over to the ring apron. Logan now notices just how close to tapping Jayson is and rushes in under the ropes, hitting a bulldog on Terry! Jayson instantly rolls away a few feet and clutches at his legs while Logan mounts Terry and starts punching the Hell out of him! Terry eventually turns it over, though, and starts pummeling Logan. The crowd cheers Terry on, but they boo loudly when Logan catches Terry in the eye with a desperation eye poke that the ref didn't see. Terry falls off, holding his eye, and Logan gets up. Terry can't see as Logan climbs up to the top rope. Terry gets up, still trying to regain his sight. The fans try to tell him what is happening, but it falls on deaf ears as Logan comes off the top rope with a Blockbuster!)
HS: "Logan hit the Blockbuster! Terry is down!"
FJ: "Yes!"
JV: "No!"
(Logan scampers over to Terry and pins him. The ref gets into position and counts: One! Two! Three!!! The scoreboard updates: Two all!)
...
(Jayson suddenly lunges at Terry to break the silence and tackles him to the ground! Logan looks on, very pleased, as the two roll over and thrown wild punches. Jayson eventually stumbles upon a chair as Terry throws him off to the side. Jayson grabs the chair and when terry gets to his feet he smacks him hard over the head! Terry goes down and we see that he is now busted open! Logan chooses to come in at this time and spear Jayson to the ground!)
HS: "Jayson turned on Terry just like Logan said he would!"
FJ: "I told you Logan is smart!"
(Logan picks Jayson up and whips him into the ring post. But Jayson reverses it! Logan goes headfirst into the post and stumbles back. Jayson grabs him and quickly rolls him into the ring.)
HS: "There's only thirty seconds left!"
(Jayson slides into the ring after Logan and goes to pick him up, but Logan hits him with a big right. Jayson falls flat onto his back, knocked out!)
HS: "Jayson is out after a punch to the head? Something doesn't seem right here."
(We see what was wrong as Logan slips off the brass knux he just used on Jayson!)
HS: "He used the brass knux and the ref didn't see it! Damnit, it can't end this way!"
JV: "God damnit! Get up Terry!"
(There's only ten seconds left and the crowd counts down the final ten seconds.)
CROWD: "TEN!"
(Logan quickly scampers over to Jayson, who landed on his stomach. Terry is getting up on the outside!)
CROWD: "NINE!"
(Logan turns Jayson over, pinning him. Terry is up to his feet!)
CROWD: "EIGHT!"
(The ref gets into position and counts: One!)
CROWD: "SEVEN!"
(Two! Terry sees the pin and dashes into the ring!)
CROWD: "SIX!"
(Three! Terry breaks the pin up too late!)
CROWD: "FIVE!"
(Terry goes to pin Jayson, but Logan grabs him by the leg and locks in a grapevine ankle lock so that Terry can't reach the downed Jayson!)
CROWD: "FOUR!"
HS: "Damnit! Damnit!"
CROWD: "THREE!"
FJ: "Yessss!"
CROWD: "TWO!"
JV: "Noooooo!"
CROWD: "ONE!"
(Logan lets Terry go playfully and raises his hands up in victory!)
CROWD: "ZERO!!!"
(A loud buzzer rings throughout the arena as the clock runs out and the final score shows Logan winning with three falls over the two from Terry and Jayson!)
February 4, 2007...
(Logan gets back to his feet as Terry climbs off the ropes gingerly. Logan grabs Terry before he can recover fully and hits the Chaotic Collision and follows up with Chaos Theory!)
FJ: "Yes! Logan's got him! The champ will retain!"
(Terry kicks and struggles in an attempt at escaping the triangle choke, but Logan has it cinched in. Terry glances around and starts moving towards the nearby ropes as best he can.)
HS: "He can't break the hold, so Terry's trying for the ropes before he blacks out."
(Terry drags himself and Logan towards the ropes with the crowd cheering him on as he does so. Logan just keeps the hold locked in. After a half-minute struggle, Terry swings one foot out towards the ropes and manages to place it on the bottom one.)
HS: "He did it!"
FJ: "Damn!"
(The ref calls for a break, but Logan doesn't even look at the ref. The ref starts his count. 1...2...3...4...5! The ref turns and calls for the bell.)
FJ: "What the...?"
HS: "Logan has gotten himself disqualified by not breaking the hold... and he doesn't look like he intends to break the hold at all."
(Logan continues to apply the triangle choke even after the bell has rung. The ref goes over to try and break the hold as Terry goes limp.)
HS: "Come on! There's no need for this!"
(Several AWA officials rush down towards the ring and start prying Logan off of Terry, who is starting to turn blue in the face. Four officials pull Logan off Terry allowing a couple of others to start checking on Terry. Logan starts fighting with the officials who had pulled him off and manages to take down one of them. Members of AWA security come down and start dragging Logan towards the back, as EMT's come down to check on Terry and then take him from the ring.)
LOGAN: "Now... Terry has come back to try and prove otherwise... because he wants my World Heavyweight title."
April 13, 2008...
(Without warning, Logan's invitation was answered by the sound of music not heard in a long time in the AWA. The Exposed crowd instantly bursts out in cheers and Logan gets a sudden look of surprise on his face as "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC begins to play over the PA system!)
HS: "What!? Could it be?"
FJ: "No way!"
(The crowd somehow gets even louder as none other than "The Storm", Terry James steps out from backstage with a microphone in his hand! Logan swivels around to see him and looks to be at a loss for words, before a smile adorns his face.)
HS: "It's Terry James! Terry James is back in the AWA!"
(Terry has his trademark cocky smirk on his face as he looks straight at Logan for a moment, then turns his attention to the crowd and soaks in all the cheers. Right away, we notice a physical change in Terry. His once long hair is now cut short and gelled to stick straight out in the front for an inch. He looks to have put on more muscle and has grown a finely cut beard. He's wearing a black muscle shirt that has "You May Hear the Thunder..." in gold on the front and "...But You Can't Stop the Lightning!" in gold on the back, with jeans and tight, black boots with lightning bolts down each side. Terry motions for the crowd to quiet down and they do. He then turns his full attention to Logan and begins to clap.)
HS: "Terry seems to be congratulating Logan for his World Title victory."
FJ: "Whatever, Jason is going to win it back soon."
TERRY: "Well, well, well, what do we have here? Logan Alexander has FINALLY won a World Heavyweight Championship!"
(The crowd cheers for Logan again and Terry nods. Logan raises his mic to thank Terry, but Terry continues to speak before he can.)
TERRY: "Hold up, Logan. Don't thank me just yet."
(Logan lowers his mic for a second to see where this is going.)
TERRY: "Logan, I watched your match last Sunday. I saw you put Jason Storm away and I saw you break down when you got that title handed to you. I couldn't help but feel happy for you, Logan, despite all of our...differences in the past."
HS: "These two certainly have quite the history."
FJ: "Yeah, they were Extremely Crappy Wrestlers together."
TERRY: "But, you winning the World Title did more than that for me, Logan. You see, I haven't been sitting on my ass for the last year or so since I left the AWA. I saw that I was in a skid and I decided to leave in order to improve myself."
(Terry pauses for a moment and looks downwards before looking to the crowd and continuing.)
TERRY: "Now, this may not have been the best thing to do for my fans at that time, but it had to be done. As soon as I left the AWA, I went straight to training full time for my eventual comeback."
(Terry now looks back at Logan or, more specifically, the title belt around his waist.)
TERRY: "So there I was, Logan, watching you win that World Title. Right then, I decided it was time. And how could I refuse the open invitation you just made before I came out?"
(Terry chuckles and the crowd cheers at what they know is about to happen.)
TERRY: "After thinking for about two seconds...I've decided to ACCEPT that open invitation of yours!"
(The crowd bursts in cheers once more and Terry talks over them.)
TERRY: "BUT, I won't just demand that match right now. No, I'm not just going to walk in here and step in front of all the others who have been busting their ass and/or cheating, wheeling and dealing their way to the top of the AWA. No, I'm going to do the right thing here and run THROUGH everyone Travis Gray or Low want to put in front of me. And, at the end, if you are still champion, I'll take that matchup, Logan. And Logan..."
(Terry pauses and chuckles to himself before stepping to within a meter of Logan and staring him straight in the eyes. Logan returns the stare and doesn't back down. Terry's smirk never falters as he speaks once more.)
TERRY: "I'll be TAKING that World Heavyweight Championship from you!"
LOGAN: So... you've seen where we've been and how we've gotten here... now, it's just up to Terry and I to make the outcome official. Maybe we'll finally know just who is the best... or maybe it's just that one of us will finally be able to admit the truth...
Last week...
(Terry looks disappointed for a moment as Logan is given his World Title belt and his hand is raised, but soon his trademark smirk comes to life. He and Logan now look at each other and Logan begins to smirk as well. Logan raises his World Title belt up in the air and the fans cheer loudly. Terry says something inaudible as he keeps his eyes on Logan, but points up to the belt.)
HS: "Folks, those two men are going to do battle next Sunday over that very title and I am looking forward to it."
FJ: "Look at how they're both smirking at one another."
HS: "Well, one of those men will have their smirk removed by the other in just one week's time."
FJ: "Ladies and gentlemen, for Herb Summers, I'm Frank Jackson. We'll see you next week at No More Drama!"
HS: "It's been a very trying night and the fall-out will most-assuredly be felt on Shock next week. Already signed and it's hard to talk about after what happened to Evan Heir but the show must go on but already signed is a match we've seen before."
FJ: "A Low's PUNISHMENT match! Jeff Christianson versus Onslaught in a No-DQ Street fight!"
HS: "These two have done this same match TWICE in their careers and each man is tied at one victory a piece. This match ALWAYS steals the show and is a highlight of the year...it'll be interesting to see what these two pull out of their hat next time."
FJ: "But enough about that...it's MAIN EVENT time!!!"
HS: "Ladies andgentlemen, you've seen a brief, but telling history of the two men who areabout to face off in our main event earlier tonight. You've seen them in thepast month in action. It's now time to see them live."
FJ: "That's right; it'sgoing to be yet another chapter in the Terry James versus Logan Alexander storyas the challenger, Terry James, will be taking a shot at the AWA WorldHeavyweight Champion, Logan Alexander."
HS: "On paper, these twoare virtual equals if you exclude their accomplishments in the AWA. However, when you do include those accomplishments, Logan Alexander has succeeded whereTerry has not."
FJ: "But you can't countTerry out, as he is always full of surprises."
(The opening guitar of'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC starts to play and the fans start to chant'Na Na-Na Na Na-Na Na Na!' over and over with the all-to-familiarguitar chords. The lights in the arena flash on and off for a few secondsbefore staying off. On the first 'Thunder' the lights starts flashingon and off again. On the second 'Thunder' Terry comes out onto thestage with a Canadian flag in his hands, the crowd now cheering loudly, stopping just before the ramp.)
HS: "And here he is! Youcan really see the determination on Terry's face right now."
FJ: "He came to playtonight, Herb."
(Terry waves the flag in big swoops from side toside a few times before resting it on his shoulder and walking down the ramp.Terry slaps hands on the way down and stops in the middle of the ramp, droppingdown to his knees. Terry holds his flag in the air with one arm as red andwhite pyros blast in rapid succession at the top of the ramp from side to sidea few times over.)
HS: "Terry's entrancemimics his style: explosive. He'll come at you as fast as lightning; no punintended."
FJ: "And, as we've seenin the last few weeks, he's got new ways of coming at you with lightning fastsubmissions."
(Terry then jumps to his feet and dashes down therest of the way to the ring. He then slides in under the bottom ropes, turningto his back and then kipping up to his feet in one fluid motion as he slidesinto the middle of the ring, red and white pyros going off on each ring post ashe does. He then shows off his flag one more time to the crowd before placingit on the outside by his corner.)
HS: "Some people mightdoubt his number one contender spot, but Terry James is just as capable asmost, if not all of the AWA roster."
FJ: "That's why the AWAis the best wrestling organization in the world. There's an unprecedentedamount of elite athletes here."
('Never Turn Back'starts to play and after several seconds a black, white, and silver coloured'Chaos Stryke' flag appears out in the crowd, indicating where Loganis making his way through the fans towards the ring with the World Heavyweighttitle around his waist. Many fans pat Logan on the back and high five him as hemakes his way past.)
HS: "Logan Alexander waspreviously one of the most, if not THE most, deserving man to have the WorldTitle who never had it. Now that he has it, he has become one of the mostdoubtful and unproven ones in the eyes of some."
FJ: "But that won't keephim from proving them otherwise, as we continually see him do."
(Logan reaches the ring barricadeand climbs over. He then slides into the ring, eyeing his opponent, and walksaround to each side with the flag hanging over his shoulder as he encouragesthe crowd. Logan watches Terry as he rolls up the flag and drops it outside thering. He then removes his ring jacket and drops it to the floor as well.)
HS: "Logan's main gamecoming into this match is his superb technical wrestling and great submissionability. However, he has made big steps to rounding himself out over his careerhere in the AWA."
FJ: "I'd say Terry mightbe the more well-rounded fighter. That being said, Logan always held a slightedge on him in the technical department. Now that Terry's upped the ante on hissubmission game, expect a big battle on the ground."
(He moves to the center of thering and removes the World title belt from around his waist and then holds itin the air in one hand as the crowd lets out thunderous cheers, all the whilestaring right at Terry, who returns the stare back. Logan then lowers the belt andhands it over to the referee, then walks over towards the corner opposite hisopponent and watches him quietly as he awaits the opening bell.)
HS: "Both of these menhave something to prove tonight. Logan Alexander needs to show he can beat alegitimate contender. Terry needs to prove that he has improved as much as hesaid he has over the last year."
FJ: "It's going to be abattle, Herb. It will be a technical chess match, but at the same time thesetwo won't be above bending the rules a bit."
HS: "The ref isexplaining the rules to both combatants. They're backing up into their corners. Here we go!"
(The bell rings and thecrowd cheers as the match is officially underway! However, both Terry and Loganvote to circle the ring and analyze each other instead of rushing head-first atthe sound of the bell. They circle one another for a good 30 seconds beforefinally meeting in the middle in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Logan quicklytwists the arm of Terry into a hammerlock, but Terry is just as quick toreverse it into one of his own. Terry then switches to a side headlock, butLogan backs into the ropes and uses the momentum of the rebound to shove Terryaway. Terry continues into the opposite ropes and ducks a clothesline attempton the way back. Terry continues into the ropes and rebounds again, but thistime Logan has him sized up for an arm drag. Terry gets thrown to the mat, buthe is quick to get up. Logan catches him in another arm drag for his efforts, but Terry gets up quickly again anyways. This time Logan puts him into an armtwist, but Terry is quick to roll, then kip up, relieving the pressure on hisarm and applying an arm wrench of his own on Logan. Terry goes for a toe kick, but Logan is able to catch it and throw Terry down in a modified dragon screw legwhip. Both men roll to their feet and face each other, the match going into aproverbial restart. The fans cheer at the closeness of the match.)
HS: "Both these men seemto be countering each other move for move. They're dead even right now."
FJ: "Someone's going toslip up, Herb. That's the only way this match is going to turn to either man'sadvantage."
(The two men once againmeet in a collar-and-elbow tie-up in the center of the ring. This time Logansurprises Terry with a jaw breaker that causes Terry to be stunned on his feet.Logan quickly gets up and grabs Terry's arm, putting him in another arm twist. This time Logan is able to start throwing shoulder thrusts that daze Terry.Logan then pulls Terry in, catching him with a DDT! Logan makes the first coverof the match, but Terry is far from done as the count doesn't even reach two. Loganisn't deterred, however, and he remains on the offensive, dropping a leg overTerry's throat. Terry rolls to the side and Logan drops his knee straight intothe small of Terry's back for doing so. Terry continues to roll, reaching theropes. Logan quickly rushes in to keep him from getting up, but Terry sees thisand catches Logan with a back body drop that sends Logan sailing over the ropesand crashing to the floor outside the ring!)
FJ: "Air Logan is nowtaking off from the runway!"
HS: "And there's thefirst mistake you were talking about, Frank. Can Terry capitalize on it,though?"
(Terry takes a quickbreather before rolling to the outside and grabbing Logan's head, prompting thereferee to start his count. Terry lifts Logan up by the head and quickly runshim face-first into a ring post! Logan bounces off and falls to the ground asthe referee's count reaches four. Terry picks Logan up again and whips him intothe steel barricade, causing Logan to collapse to the ground afterwards. We nowsee a trickle of blood coming from the left side of Logan's forehead, presumably from his collision with the ring post. The referee's count reachesseven, but Terry rolls in, then out of the ring to restart the count. Terrythen goes to pick up Logan again, but Logan grabs Terry first and throws himface-first into the ring barricade! Terry now drops to the ground as Logantakes a few moments to recover and get to his feet. Logan now rolls in and outof the ring to break the count once more before he goes over to Terry. Logannow picks Terry up by the head and grabs his arm. Logan aligns himself with thesteel ring steps, putting his back to them, and proceeds to whip Terry straightinto them! Terry's left knee hits the steps, causing The Storm to fly head overheels over the steps and land flat on his back on the other side, garnering abit "Ooooo!" from the crowd.)
HS: "My God, it didn'ttake long for this match to get brutal on the outside!"
FJ: "I said it beforethe match began: these two aren't going to hold back and will willingly bendthe rules to win this match."
(Terry nurses his leftknee as Logan walks around the steel steps to reach Terry once again. Loganpicks Terry up and rolls him into the ring, then follows Terry into the ringhimself. Logan grabs Terry's left leg and drags him into the middle of thering, looking for the figure four! Terry kicks Logan away as he spins aroundTerry's leg, however, sending Logan into a corner. Logan stops himself beforehitting the turnbuckles with his head, but this allows Terry to get to hisfeet. Logan turns around and BANG!)
HS: "Thunder Strike!Logan's just been Thunderstruck!"
FJ: "Terry just hitsthat super kick out of nowhere!"
(Logan drops like a tonof bricks and Terry quickly goes for the cover!)
REF: "One!"
FJ: "Two!"
HS: "Thr-Logan kicksout!"
FJ: "He really wants tokeep that World Title, Herb. Terry is going to have to go above and beyond theusual to win this match."
(The fans cheer atLogan's resilience, but Terry somehow doesn't seem surprised as Logan kicks outjust before three. He just smirks and gets to his feet, pulling the still dazedLogan up to his feet at the same time. Terry then whips Logan into the ropesand catches Logan in a flapjack, converting it into a standing ankle lock assoon as Logan hits the mat!)
HS: "Ankle lock! Terryhas an ankle lock on Logan and Logan is facing the middle of the ring!"
(Logan clenches histeeth together to try and distract himself from the pain as he quickly decideswhat to do. Logan's decision is to summersault, causing Terry to flip over him. However, Terry doesn't release Logan's ankle and gets back up, applying thelock again! Logan keeps his cool, however, and begins to circle towards theropes. Logan eventually makes it to the bottom rope and grabs a hold of it, gaininga cheer from the crowd, but Terry doesn't let Logan off so easily as he keepsthe ankle lock locked in tight until the three count from the ref. When Terrydoes let go, the referee steps in-between him and Logan, allowing for Logan touse the ropes to get to his feet. Terry shoves the referee to the side, however, quickly shoving Logan into a corner with a front push kick. Terry then backs upinto the center ring and runs into the corner Logan is in, nailing Logan with alightning knee lift! Logan collapses forward into Terry's arms as Terrydismounts from the ropes. Terry backs up with Logan and sends him flying acrossthe ring with a belly to belly suplex.)
HS: "The champ is introuble here as Terry has not let Logan get an advantage since that ThunderStrike."
FJ: "He's hitting Loganwith some high impact moves here; wearing him down. Logan is going to have toreverse the momentum to keep this match from going too far into Terry's hands."
(Terry sees Logan is onhis back in the middle of the ring and quickly runs into the ropes, jumping tothe top ropes and leaping off in a springboard moonsault. Terry lands directlyon Logan, but Logan got his knees up just in time! Terry rolls off of Logan, clutching his ribs. Logan uses this opportunity to finally collect himselfbefore getting up and heading over to Terry. We now see that the cut on theleft side of Logan's forehead has grown slightly, possibly from the lightningknee lift he received, and a constant trickle of blood now flows down the sideof his face. This doesn't bother Logan at all, however, as he stalks Terry frombehind. Terry gets to his feet, but as soon as he does Logan chops him backdown with a chop block to the back of Terry's left knee; the same one Terry hiton the steel ring steps! Terry falls back over Logan, holding his knee in pain, but Logan doesn't give him any time to heal as he once again goes for thefigure four. This time Logan is successful in applying the submission and Terryinstantly begins to writhe in pain!)
HS: "It's Terry's turnto fight off a submission it seems as Logan has Terry in a figure fourleglock!"
FJ: "Terry is facing themiddle of the ring, but I expect he'll try to turn towards the ropes, much likeLogan did to get out of the ankle lock."
(Frank seems to becorrect as Terry begins to scoot towards the ropes that were behind Logan.Terry is just about to reach the ropes when Logan suddenly rolls both himselfand Terry towards the center of the ring, maintaining the figure four! The refasks if Terry wants to give up, but Terry shouts out a resounding "NO!" andbegins to pull himself towards the ropes behind him. Logan tries to pull theopposite way, but with one last pull Terry is able to lean backwards and grabthe bottom rope, gaining another big cheer from the crowd! Logan, however, doesn't break the hold until the three count, just as Terry decided to doearlier. The ref once again steps in-between the two, allowing Terry to get upvia the ropes. Logan doesn't let Terry fully recover, however, as he shoves theref aside and grabs Terry's head. Logan then runs towards the middle of thering, driving Terry down to the canvas in a bulldog. Logan pulls Terry back upright afterwards and drops him with a side Russian leg sweep. Logan then picksTerry back up once more and twists Terry's arm, causing him to bend forward.Logan then flips over Terry from behind and nails a rocker dropper! Logan goesfor the cover, but Terry kicks out in a near fall, much to the liking of thefans in attendance.)
HS: "Logan now seems tohave command of the match and Terry is the one who will have to fight back toregain control."
FJ: "Logan has yet to gofor one of his trademark submissions. I imagine he'll look to set one of thoseup sooner than later. Terry better do something before Logan does decide to do soor this match could be over."
(Logan gets to his feetand heads to the nearest corner, perching himself on the top turnbuckle. Hethen waits there as Terry slowly gets to his feet, favouring his left leg.Terry slightly limps as he turns towards the corner Logan is in, but he doesn'tget to tread any further as Logan comes off the top rope with a huge, divingspear!)
HS: "Wow! Logan went outof his usual technical approach and went for a high risk manoeuvre!"
FJ: "And it paid off bigtime, although it looks like Logan might have taken some of the impact on hishead as Terry got slammed to his back."
(The crowd cheers wildlyas Terry rolls over and holds his ribs as he seems to be in extreme pain. Loganalso rolls over, holding his head. However, Logan is the first to get up byfar. Logan looks over to Terry, who is still clutching his ribs, and calls forthe end of the match, gaining another big cheer from the crowd. Logan begins tostalk Terry as he slowly, but surely, regains his footing again. As soon asTerry gets to his feet, Logan grabs him in a waist lock from behind and throwshim up and over his head in a German suplex! Logan maintains the waist lock andpulls Terry back to his feet, hitting another German! Logan then picks Terry backup to his feet again and spins him around, picking him up and dropping him headfirst in a Death Valley driver!)
HS: "Chaotic Revolution!Logan nailed his set-up move for Perfect Chaos Theory!"
(Logan doesn't leaveroom for suspense as he quickly crosses Terry's legs for a sharpshooter. Loganthen turns Terry over, but instead of stepping over in a traditionalsharpshooter, he takes a knee, applying his half-turned sharpshooter, akaPerfect Chaos Theory! Terry instantly screams in pain as his injured knee isnow taking a lot of stress, as is his back and legs in general. He begins toclaw his way towards the ropes as the crowd chants "Terry! Terry! Terry!" overand over again. However, as soon as Terry gets close to the ropes, Loganreleases the pressure on the hold in order to get up and drag Terry to themiddle of the ring! However, as soon as he does this Terry suddenly rolls thehold over and grabs Logan's legs. Before Logan can do anything, Terry crossesLogan's legs, turns over into a sharpshooter and applies an ankle lock onLogan's free leg under his arm!)
HS: "Thunder Bolt! Terryhas the Thunder Bolt locked in! What a counter!"
FJ: "And Terry has it inthe middle of the ring. Logan has nowhere to go!"
(It's now Logan's turnto scream out in pain as Terry sits into the Thunder Bolt, really puttingpressure on Logan's legs and back, while at the same time twisting Logan'sankle as hard as he can. The ref asks Logan if he wants to give up, but Loganshakes his head wildly, unable to shout a verbal no' through the pain of thesubmission he's in. The crowd now cheers for Logan just as they did for Terry, clearly not wanting this match to end. But, it seems to be all for naught asTerry has the hold sunk in deep and Logan is unable to crawl to the ropes, which are very far away from the center of the ring.)
HS: "Is Logan going totap?"
FJ: "He's hanging inthere for now, but he will have to do something or he will inevitably tap orpass out from the pain."
HS: "We're seeing shadesof Steve Austin versus Bret Hart here as Terry has a modified sharpshooter onLogan, who has that constant trickle of blood flowing down the side of hishead, and now his cheek."
(While Logan's not asbloody as Stone Cold was, the expression on his face is the same. After nearlya minute in the hold, Logan begins to raise his hand to tap. The crowdcontinues to cheer him on, but it's no use. Logan begins to fade and Terry isnot shouting for him to tap. The ref asks Logan if he'll tap, but Logan stillshakes his head. Then, with one last ditch effort, Logan shoots one arm backand grabs one of Terry's ankles. He then pulls forward with all his might whilesimultaneously shoving the other way with his legs. This causes Terry to losehis balance and fall forward, breaking the hold! Logan then gets up and appliesPerfect Chaos Theory once more!)
HS: "My God! Logancountered Terry at the last possible moment and now Terry is once again inPerfect Chaos Theory!"
FJ: "This is just liketheir first match before their Vortex match, where both men countered eachother over and over again, applying their versions of sharpshooters on oneanother. Logan eventually won that match, but he did so by baiting Terry intoattempting a Thunder Strike, then applying one last sharpshooter to end thematch."
(Terry is in pain, butLogan's legs and back are too weak to anchor in the hold as Terry did and Terryis able to claw himself over to the bottom ropes to break the hold. Logan letsgo of the hold and simply collapses to the canvas in exhaustion and pain asTerry rolls to his back and breathes heavily after the effort he put into theThunder Bolt on Logan. The referee begins a ten count as both men just liethere.)
REF: "ONE!"
HS: "Both men are downafter all the energy they poured into their submissions!"
REF: "TWO!"
(Terry and Logan areboth still not moving from their backs as the crowd cheers for them to get up.)
REF: "THREE!"
FJ: "Will either of thembe able to get up!?"
REF: "FOUR!"
(Terry and Logan bothturn over to their fronts.)
REF: "FIVE!"
REF: "SIX!"
(The two men now pushthemselves up to their hands and knees.)
REF: "SEVEN!"
REF: "EIGHT!"
(Both men reach theirfeet simultaneously and the crowd goes wild!)
HS: "And the match willcontinue, folks!"
FJ: "And what a match itis!"
(Terry and Logan bothmeet each other and start brawling in the middle of the ring! Logan throwsstraight rights and hooks and Terry responds with straight rights and hooks ofhis own. Both men have wobbly legs from the punishment they've taken throughoutthe match. Neither man backs down, but both are getting caught with a lot ofpunches to the face. The ref is yelling at both of them to stop using closed fists, but neither of the men listens. After about a dozen shots each, Terry finallythrows a big elbow that rocks Logan. Logan stumbles back and Terry throws a legkick to the left thigh of Logan. Logan hobbles to the side, holding that leg,and Terry throws another leg kick to Logan's right thigh, causing Logan to limpthe opposite way. Terry then takes a hold of Logan's head in a Muay Thai clinchand starts throwing knees to Logan's body and face!)
HS: "Terry has that Thaiclinch of his locked in and Logan is virtually defenceless to those devastatingknees Terry is throwing."
FJ: "We saw what thoseknees did to Evan Heir. However, Terry is throwing them at a much slower pacethis time around and I doubt there's as much power behind them."
(Terry does look tiredas he throws the knees, but he is still getting in some good shots on Logan'schest, ribs and face. After about seven or eight knees, however, Terry simplylets go of Logan, who collapses to the canvas. We now see that Logan's cut onthe left side of his forehead is wide open and blood is flowing like a riverdown the side of his head. His nose is also busted open and blood is flowingdown his lips and chin. Terry, on the other hand, seems to be much better off,but has bruises on his face from the punches he just received from Logan. Terrywalks over to Logan with a slight limp and leans down to pick Logan up by thehead. Logan kicks Terry away, however, causing Terry to stumble backwards andinto the ref! The ref is simply pushed back into a corner, however. Terry getsup off the ref and begins to step forward, ducking a super kick attempt fromLogan that connects with the ref's face instead! NOW the ref goes down.)
HS: "The ref is down!"
FJ: "Oh boy! This is thebest thing that could have happened!"
(Both men look at theref, then back at each other, then back at the ref. Logan quickly rushesforward and spears Terry to the mat! Logan then gets a slight smile on his faceas he heads over to the ropes and rolls under the bottom rope to the outside ofthe ring.)
HS: "What is Logandoing?"
FJ: "You know just aswell as I do what he's doing. He said he would do anything to keep his titleand he meant it!"
(The crowd cheers asLogan begins to look under the ring apron. He quickly pulls out a steel chairand then heads into the ring with it. He limps over to Terry and brings thechair high above his head. However, before he can swing downwards, Terry swingshis foot upwards and into the lower extremities of Logan's torso!)
CROWD: "OOOOoooo!"
HS & FJ: "OUCH!"
HS: "Logan has paid theultimate price for bringing that steel chair in!"
FJ: "Damn! Terry justbroke Logan's twig and crushed his berries!"
(Logan's eyes widen ashe drops the chair and collapses to his side, holding his "special parts." Terryslowly gets to his feet and looks over to the ref, seeing he is still in la-laland. Terry then gets the chair and waits for Logan to get up to his feet.Logan slowly reaches his feet and turns around to find a chair flying in hisdirection. Logan catches the chair, but swings it forward as Terry attempt theSuper Conductor, nailing Terry in the side of his leg for his troubles! Terrydoubles over, clutching his leg in pain as Logan drops the chair on the canvas andquickly heads to a nearby corner behind Terry. Terry hobbles around for a bitbefore turning towards Logan and Logan comes off the top rope with an implantDDT onto the steel chair!)
HS: "LA Shockwave!"
FJ: "On a steel chair!Terry is busted open and he could very well be out!"
(Terry is on his backand we see that he has been busted open badly on his forehead, which isbleeding profusely now. Logan looks at Terry, then over to the ref, who finallyseems to be regaining consciousness. Logan quickly tosses the chair out of thering and limps over to the ref to revive him. Logan successfully revives theref, then limps back over to Terry and pins him! The ref quickly runs over andbegins the count!)
REF: "ONE!"
REF: "TWO!"
REF: "THREE!!!"
HS: "My God, LoganAlexander has retained the World Title!"
FJ: "No he hasn't!"
(Logan collapses to hisside and almost begins to celebrate before he sees the ref calling for thematch to continue. Logan is surprised for a moment, but then looks over toTerry and sees his leg extended onto the bottom rope! The crowd cheers wildlyand Logan slams the mat with his hand in frustration.)
HS: "Terry James had hisfoot on the bottom rope just before the three count came down! This match is goingto continue, folks!"
FJ: "The AWA fans inattendance tonight are getting more than their money's worth!"
HS: "They indeed are!The question now is: What will it take to win this match? Both men havesurvived through submissions and moves that would normally defeat any otherman. Someone is really going to have to do something special to win tonight."
(Logan takes a second tothink of what to do next and then gets up. He picks Terry up and puts him inwhat looks like a powerbomb position, walking into the center of the ring forroom.)
FJ: "It looks like Loganis setting Terry up for a powerbomb. I don't think I've seen Logan do onebefore."
HS: "He isn't settinghim up for a powerbomb, Frank. I think we're seeing a set-up for the LA Overload!"
(Logan indeed seems tobe going for his version of the Canadian Destroyer, but before he can start theflip, Terry grabs both of his legs out from under him, dropping Logan to hisback. However, as he does this, Logan throws his legs up and wraps them aroundon of Terry's arms and his neck, locking in a triangle choke!)
HS: "Chaos Theory! Loganhas his triangle choke he calls Chaos Theory locked in tight on Terry James!"
FJ: "The last time thesetwo faced off, Terry was able to reach the ropes, but this time Terry is in themiddle of the ring and he is a lot more beat up!"
(Terry seems to fightthe hold at first, trying desperately to inch his way back towards the ropes. However, he just doesn't have the strength in his legs anymore and he soondrops to his knees! Terry's face is a proverbial crimson mask as he clencheshis teeth and gets back to his feet. However, he soon drops to his knees again, his arms falling to his side. Logan yells at the ref, who quickly checks andsees that Terry is out! The ref calls for the bell and Logan releases thetriangle choke, a big squirt of blood coming out of Terry's forehead afterwardsnow that his blood is allowed to get to his head again! Terry collapses to hisside, motionless and bloody as the ref calls for EMTs to come down to the ring.Logan just lies on his back as the ref gets his World Title belt and hands it tohim, raising his hand in victory!)
HS: "This time it iscertain: Logan Alexander has retained his World Title!"
FJ: "Terry said hewouldn't quit and he wasn't lying. Terry's body gave up instead and he passedout."
HS: "Terry James showeda lot of heart and he showed that his return here is a legitimate one. Loganthrough everything he had at him and Terry never gave up."
FJ: "But Logan Alexanderalso proved that he can beat a legitimate contender, casting aside any sort ofcriticism that may have gone into his reign as an AWA World Heavyweight Champion."
HS: "Yes, both of thesemen proved what they set out to prove tonight and I wouldn't know which one topick if they fought again. But, tonight, Logan was the victor and yet anotherchapter has been written in the Terry James versus Logan Alexander book."
(We fade out with the triumphant World Champion Logan Alexander holding his World Title high in the air.)
HS: "Thank you for joining us tonight from Las Vegas! Next week, Onslaught versus Jeff Christianson on Shock in a STREET FIGHT! For Frank Jackson, I'm Herb Summers! GOOD NIGHT!"
(We fade to darkness.)
