AWA SPRINGS AND BREAKS, March 27th, 2005, Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlotte Coliseum
(The AWA logo flashes across our screen. We cut to scenes from spring all over the world. Flowers are blossoming, birds
are singing, the sun is shining.)
VOICE:
Rebirth
of the earth
from hibernation
verdant grasses now rise
as winter recedes once again
wakened from sleep, she breathes once more
(The singing of the birds fades and instead a low, monotone sound begins to play. Our screen goes black and white as we
see Andreas Lasiewicz, Schizm and Cynder beating up Marc Slayer to end his career in the AWA... we see The Hangman making
his return to the AWA at the side of a bitter looking Lori Happy... we see Cerberus and Tragedy battling it out, using a
ladder as a weapon... we see Brian Stevens and Saidogai engaging in a wild brawl... we see Atlas Johansson rehabbing his
shoulder as Apollo looks on in concern... we see Nathan Hawthorne-Lee battling Maxx Skabb and being thrown through a boiler
room window... we see BlackJack having to deal with three opponents in John Williams, Colin Baird and Poppa... and finally,
we see Low bloodying Brian Williams with a chair, but Williams asking Low to give him more.)
VOICE:
Spring... the season of growth
Breaks... to put an end to by force and strong opposition...
(The video ends with scenes of Brian Williams meeting with former AWA World Champion Black Dragon, as well as Low meeting
with former AWA US Champion Michael Stevens, before finally replaying the scene of Low shaving his head bald. We then cut
into the sold out Charlotte Coliseum as fireworks go off and the fans cheer. The camera pans the crowd and we see signs such
as "Remembering Adam Bawm", "The Hangman returns" and "The Bald Low". We then go to our announcers Herb Summers and Frank
Jackson.)
HS: "Almost 25.000 fans have sold out the Coliseum here in Charlotte, North Carolina! And obviously, the Charlotte fans
are remembering one of their own, Adam Bawm, who has died on this very pay-per-view, Springs And Breaks, 364 days ago... many
say at the hands of the reigning AWA World Heavyweight Champion Brian Williams."
FJ: "Yeah, and that's all tragic and stuff, Herb, but the past is the past and this is now. Tonight we will see a packed
show, as we have two Triple Threat Matches. One pits Johnny Hollywood against Falk Tallin and Anthem, the other pits Paul
Parker against two men who have recently formed an alliance, Schizm and Cynder."
HS: "We will also see two tag team matches tonight, as the AWA tag team division is slowly but surely getting back to
previous glory. The Forces Of Nature will take on The Canucks, and the AWA Tag Team Champions The Immortals will take on
former Champions Bad Blood. We will have to see how Atlas Johansson's shoulder holds up, but Jeff Christianson and C-Rock
both have just recently returned, so they may be a little rusty themselves."
FJ: "A group of men who have recently joined the AWA will try to make an impact in what for some are their first pay-per-
view singles matches. The self-proclaimed King Of The Rookies, Scott Lotus, will take on Thumbscrews. Battling it out in a
First Blood Match are Brian Stevens and Saidogai. And the AWA Cruiserweight title will be on the line as Cerberus makes his
first title defense against Tragedy."
HS: "Maxx Skabb has been a thorne in the side of AWA No Limit Champion Nathan Hawthorne-Lee for several months now.
Tonight, these two men will settle their differences once and for all. Andreas Lasiewicz has a chance to make a huge impact
here tonight, but his job will not be an easy one, as he takes on three-time World Champion The Hangman in his return match."
FJ: "The US Champion BlackJack has had an eventful couple of months here in the AWA, as 2005 saw him rise to new heights.
Tonight, in the first-ever Lethal Ladder Match, he gets to face three opponents, two of which have been US Champion
themselves. BlackJack will defend against John Williams, Colin Baird and Poppa in what will start as a tag team match, then
turns into a Triple Threat Match, and finally decides a winner in a Ladder Match."
HS: "And then finally, the main event - The Final Encounter. Brian Williams versus Low, Hell In A Cell, the last chapter.
Both men have gone to great lengths to find inspirations for their match tonight, and tonight we will find out who can
decide that final chapter for himself."
FJ: "And let's not forget, we will also find out which five AWA legends will be inducted into the AWA Hall Of Fame at the
start of May."
(The dark, low sounds of "Take Her Down" by Rob Zombie play as the arena goes dark except for several black lights that wash everything in the arena purple. As the music picks up, white lights flicker around the stage as Andreas Lasiewicz, Cynder, and Schizm walk out from the back, greeted by mostly boos.)
FJ: "Now this is how you kick off a pay-per-view!"
HS: "With a bunch of thugs who brutally ended Marc Slayer's career?"
FJ: "Hey, watch your mouth, Summers. These men aren't thugs. They're philosophers who can kick ass. Foreward thinkers. They could out debate Plato and put him through a table, all in one motion."
HS: "Riiiiiight."
(The trio enter the ring as the lights turn back to normal and the music fades out. Schizm flicks his hands and a microphone appears there.)
SCHIZM: "Bear witness, you wretched hive-minded mob, to the folly your actions have created."
(The crowd boos.)
SCHIZM: "Since the beginning of time, the mindless masses have persecuted and marginalized those who think differently from their stagnant paradigm. You spurn our wisdom and relegate us as outcasts, madmen, or traitors."
(The jester giggles for a moment, an edge of hysteria creeping into his voice.)
SCHIZM: "Tonight, the consequences for your ignorance will be realized by each and every one of you. The three of us, Andreas Lasiewicz, Cynder, and yours truly, the Schizmatic Genius, know how it feels to be thrown to the fringes of society. We have been taken for granted, our potential gone unrealized by the higher-ups and our "peers" alike. Tonight, though, we band together. Together, we will rip open your closed eyes to the truth, so you cannot ignore us anymore. Tonight marks the beginning of a journey of glorious merry mayhem that NO ONE - not Brian Stevens, not Paul Parker, not even the Hangman - can ever hope to halt."
(Schizm throws his head back with maniacal laughter as he hands the microphone to Lasiewicz.)
LASIEWICZ: "Imagine... Imagine a world... a world of insurrection, a world of abomination and hostility. A world without color, or any signs of life, happiness or the least bit of pleasure. A world where your greatest friend is the man waiting to bring upon your death, and your greatest enemy is yourself. In this world the only thing you can feel is pain, and the only relief is blood. The only salvation is your own death. And you find yourself wishing, begging for someone to just come and f(BLEEP)ing kill you... only to wake, and find yourself living despite your dreams of death."
(He pauses for a second, taking a quick breath before continuing.)
LASIEWICZ: "A world which is ruled by blackness. Where there is no freedom... no peace... and no hope. That world... is my reality, and none of you god-forsaken idiots could ever survive within it! Why? Because you are all wrapped up in your pathetic society, your pathetic illusions. Your society blinds you - it hides things from your very eyes in hopes that you all remain ignorant. The truth can hurt - we've all heard that saying, and how true it is. As a whole, society knows that the truth can hurt - so what do you do? You run from the truth - you hide from the truth - because you don't want the pain."
"None of you know what it's like to suffer! It's amazing what living in this world can do to a soul. I see it in every one of you. You've fallen victim to society - your illusions of life - you've been forced to accept the ways of life, no matter how much you all like or dislike them. You've all grown to accept society as it is, to live your pathetic lives within its confines. Everything about each of you has been influenced by this society: your beliefs, your way of life - your morals. According to society, our attack last week on Marc Slayer was immoral, but why should I live by standards set by society, why should I follow morals that have been created by society? There is no reason why I should, and that's why I don't."
Some of you could say that I've rejected society. Others can say society has rejected me. For once in my life, I'm not alone. You see, Cynder and Schizm here have done the same. We have rejected society because society has rejected us. And there are more of us out there. As time will tell, there are more of us within the confines of this very business. Wait and see... cause the freaks are coming out to play..."
(The crowd boos at those words as Andreas hands the mic to Cynder.)
CYNDER: "You see, we're tired of the way the rest of your apathetic society has treated us. Few have ever opened up their doors to us, fewer still themselves. We're not going to let ourselves be forced to come out second best because the rest of the world likes someone else better. It's our time now. It's our time to shine, and none of you can stop us. None of you in the crowd, and none of you in the locker room. There are more from where we've come from, and as Andreas has said: THE FREAKS ARE COMING OUT TO PLAY!!!"
"It just so happens that all of YOU are in our toybox."
(More boos. Schizm takes the mic from Cynder and looks out at the crowd.)
SCHIZM: "Go ahead and boo us freaks. But like it or not, we've banded together to spit in the face of the collective mass that has shunned us to the outside. Boo us all you want, but we don't care. When two or more freaks band together for the purposes of glorious merry mayhem, they are called The Carnival. And The Carnival has come to the AWA!"
(Rob Zombie starts back up again as the crowd boos. The three taunt the crowd as they go back up the ramp.)
HS: "Now that was something else."
FJ: "And I love it!"
HS: "Anyway, let's go to our first match."
("Out Of Control" by Hoobastank begins to play and Falk Tallin quickly walks down the ramp to practically no reaction.
"Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson begins to play and Johnny Hollywood comes down the ramp to a slight chorus of boos.
(Suddenly, smoke appears at the ring entrance as a hand in a red open finger glove starts to follow the countdown from the song "Vertigo" by U2 with lead singer Bono's opening countdown at the beginning of the song:)
Bono: "UNO!"
(One finger in the air from his out stretched arm in the air from the smoke.)
Bono: "DOS!"
(Then two fingers in the air from his out stretched arm in the air.)
Bono: "TRES!"
(Now three fingers in the air from his out stretched arm in the air.)
Bono: "CATORCE!"
(Then finally the smoke falls away revealing the massive form of the Anthem.
The crowd erupts in cheers as Anthem makes his way down to the ring high fiving his fans on his way to the ring. He will stop on his way to the ring and hand off his pair of sunglasses to a random kid, then he continues to the ring smiling and high fiving. After he enters the ring, he starts running to one of the corners of the ring climbing upon each corner pounds his chest and arms outstretched to his sides as he cheers along with the crowd causing even more cheerful frenzy.)
FJ: "Now that is an energetic dude right there."
(Anthem's demeanor changes when he finally looks at his opponents, Johnny Hollywood and Falk Tallin. He cocks his head pointing to each of his two opponents with both arms in a fist with his pointer and index fingers with his thumb underneath at his opponents. This is his patented 3-Finger Point when he does this his friendly facade is replaced with a new cold all business side appears as he stares coldly at each of his opponents with his right arm pointing to Johnny Hollywood and his left arm pointing to Falk Tallin.)
HS: "Anthem certainly means business now."
(The bell rings and Anthem runs towards both Hollywood and Tallin, screaming as he clotheslines them both. Anthem moves over for another attack, but Hollywood gets to his feet first attacking the big man, with a kick into the back of Anthem's knees sending him to the mat. Tallin gets up as well jumping with his elbow onto Anthem's back. Anthem grunts in pain as both Hollywood and Tallin set aside their differences and start to work on Anthem. Anthem is on the mat, not moving, as Hollywood starts to go down with another blow to Anthem, faking it and attacking Tallin with a jump kick, sending Tallin onto his own back. Johnny points to Anthem saying something to the referee. The referee, looking distracted, looks at Anthem with his back turned to Hollywood, who takes something out of his pants before jumping down to Tallin, hitting him with the object, which he quickly puts back into his pants. Tallin looks hurt as Hollywood jumps on top of Tallin trying to pin him calling the referee over. The referee heads over jumping down on the mat to start the count. The referee's hand slaps the mat, but Anthem is there in time to break it up at two.)
HS: "No two minutes into this match and Hollywood already starts cheating."
FJ: "Yeah, he knows how to get ahead."
(Anthem runs towards Hollywood knocking him to the outside. Anthem falls to his knees after the maneuver, taking a breather. Tallin sneaks up behind him and polish hammers Anthem in the back, knocking Anthem into the ropes. The referee starts to yell at Tallin as he starts to choke Anthem on the ropes. The referee steps in, getting in Tallin's face about choking Anthem. Hollywood is still trying to recover and getting to his feet as Tallin lets go of Anthem on the rope. Suddenly, Anthem runs over and double jump kicks Tallin, knocking him down.)
FJ: "Now that was sudden!"
(Tallin gets up and grabs Anthem, who reverses the move and body slams Tallin. He screams as he grabs Tallin picking him up sending him down with a suplex. Hollywood starts to get up being ignored by the referee he watches obviously looking for something he can exploit. Anthem slings Tallin by his arm into the turnbuckle, dazzling his opponent. Hollywood attacks Anthem knocking him down with his jump kick. Hollywood runs to the rope to jump onto Anthem, but Anthem gets up to his feet quickly and catches the much shorter wrestler. Anthem holding Hollywood runs towards Tallin's turnbuckle as Tallin recovers. But it is too late as he is smashed with Hollywood by Anthem's run. Anthem steps back as Hollywood and Tallin are crushed together in the corner.)
HS: "Anthem certainly knows how to uses his strength to his advantage."
(Anthem looks at the crowd then looks at Tallin, who is down on the mat holding his back. Anthem heads over to Falk, lifting him up with his powerful arms, putting Falk over his shoulders. Anthem hooks his arms on Tallin's neck and shoulders, applying pressure in his submission hold, the Back Breaker Rack. Falk screams and the referee signals for the bell as the ring as Tallin gives up.)
HS: "And we have a winner, as Anthem wins his first pay-per-view match here in the AWA."
(Anthem has climbed the turnbuckle to celebrate, his back to both Johnny Hollywood and Falk Tallin. His arms are up in the air as he is cheering along side the audience. Falk Tallin, who slipped out the ring, heads over, grabbing some steel chairs near the ring. He tosses the chairs in as Johnny Hollywood looks at Falk Tallin as if Tallin was going to attack him. Tallin shakes his head pointing to Anthem, whose back is to them.)
HS: "Now what is this all about? Anthem won fair and square, this is not necessary."
FJ: "Booo hooo, it's not fair. Come on, watch Olympic wrestling if you want fair fights, Herb!"
(Hollywood nods and then grabs one of the steel chairs as Tallin grabs the other steel chair. The crowd screams trying to warn Anthem as they start to see what is happening. Anthem turns around, but it is too late as both Hollywood and Tallin rush him hitting Anthem with their steel chairs. Anthem falls down to the mat in agony as they start to attack the young superstar, both of them screaming curses at Anthem.)
HS: "We need some help down here!"
(The chairs start bashing down on Anthem's back as Hollywood and Tallin work to destroy Anthem. Anthem keeps trying to get up but each blow sends him down to the mat once again. Suddenly we see a mysterious figure with spiked blond hair and dressed in orange pants with blue strips down the sides and a matching orange orange jacket walking through the crowd behind the ring, holding a popcorn bag and stuffing his mouth full of popcorn. The fans begin to cheer as they recognize Bob "The Swerve" Di'Las, one of the new AWA stars who is representing the AWA in the Global Tournament of Champions! Hollywood and Tallin do not seem to care or notice as they continue to inflict their heinous damage to Anthem. Bob suddenly stops looking around for something and he spots a fan with a soft drink heading towards him.)
FJ: "Oh no, not that joker again. What did Lethal Louise think when she let him sign that contract?"
(Bob grabs the soft drink from the fan as he hands the fan his popcorn. Bob tears the lid off the soda taking a huge gulp of the drink, some of the soda dropping off his chin, which Bob wipes with his sleeve. Then Bob grabs his orange Bob Stick from his belt, holding it up in air as if he was some sort of fantasy hero ready to combat evil as he runs towards the ring. This does not deter at all the attack that Hollywood and Tallin are committing to Anthem but the crowd goes wild. Di'Las gets to the ring, jumps onto the apron and climbs up the turnbuckle, holding his Bob Stick up in the air. He jumps towards Hollywood and Tallin as they work on Anthem with kicks and steel chairs. As Bob heads towards Hollywood and Tallin, they can hear Bob shouting his battle cry.)
BOB: "SWEEEEEEERVVVVVVE!!!"
(His aerial attack with the Bob Stick connects with the massive body of Falk Tallin, stopping Tallin's attack with the steel chair and causing Tallin to drop his chair. Bob looks at Johnny Hollywood and tries to strike Hollywood with his Bob Stick, but Hollywood moves in enough time to deflect the blow from the Bob Stick with his steel chair. Tallin, however, has gotten back on his feet, ready to swing his chair over Bob's head. As Tallin swings the chair it is stopped in midair by Anthem, who then headbutts Tallin to make him let go of the steel chair. Anthem hits Tallin with the chair before tossing the chair out of the ring. Bob then grabs Hollywood and applies his Dance Breaker.)
FJ: "This violence is unnecessary! How unfair these morons are!"
HS: "Excuse me?"
(While Bob is finishing off Hollywood, Anthem and Tallin finish up their fight. Tallin tries to move into Anthem to do his finishing move, the Ragnirok, but Anthem instead quickly reverses it into a piledriver, sending Tallin's head straight into the mat. Anthem lifts up Tallin to put him into a Vice, as Bob scrambles to the ropes whistling to Anthem who turns around slinging Tallin in his arms as Bob springs off the rope with a springboard drop kick to Tallin as Anthem twists in the air slamming Tallin to the ground with a devastating thunder drop to the mat. Anthem and Bob leave the two on the ground unconscious looking at each other. Anthem is not too sure of what to make of the man of orange, who is grinning and holding his Bob Stick.)
BOB: "They have been… swerved!"
(Anthem looks at Bob again then offers his hand to Bob, who takes Anthem's massive hand into both of his hands, shaking the arm frantically. We then go to a video package hyping AWA Revelations on May 8th from Honolulu, Hawaii. As we return to the arena, the lights go dim in the Charlotte Coliseum, and the crowd murmurs, wondering exactly what is happening. The AWAtron flickers to life on an image of a party, a nice high class affair. Men in expensive suits with fake smiles, mingle with women in evening gowns with fake bodies. Champagne flows freely, the music is soft chamber music, just the sort of music these fake people pretend to like to seem more classy.
As we continue to watch these people, and the camera moves around to each, we get a small flash, a momentary half second
glimpse of something else, something ugly and hideous. We can't make out exactly what it is, but we know it was awful. A
twitter of laughter fills the party, and again we're treated to another brief glimpse of a darker world, a little longer
this time, a junkie strung out and vomiting on a dirty street corner.
Slowly we notice a change, the music and the sounds of the party are fading out. They're replaced by the sounds of
reality, a baby cries for his mother, police sirens wail in the distance. None of this seems to effect the merry-makers,
they're obviously not hearing what we are. Another flash of the darker world beneath, a group of twisted young men with
knives surround a screaming woman dressed in white. The predators move in, hungry desire in their eyes, but before
anything can happen, we once again return to the party. No more music, all we hear are the woman's screams for mercy, and
the laughter of the party goers, mixing into a symphony of human emotion. Quickly, just for a second, we flash to the
street again, the body, her white dress now red, twisted into an unnatural position.
The screen goes black. In the darkness we hear more sirens, and a voice soft, low.)
VOICE: "Wrestlers of the AWA, I'm here to open your eyes. For too long you've been blind to the suffering all around
you. For too long you've wallowed in your fame and depravity. How long has it been since any one of you has opened your
eyes, and seen the world around you? You hide behind the walls of your celebrity. Your fancy cars, your big houses can't
protect you anymore, I'll make sure of that."
"Cast aside the bonds of society. Give up all that you own, return to the world that spawned you. This is your only
chance at salvation. Your sins are those of greed, and vanity, you seek more money, and more fame. You stare into the
mirror hypnotized by your own reflections, and you forget you're nothing but flesh and bone."
"I am Kyle Duke, join me and I'll show you the way. Follow me and I'll make you free."
(The scene fades to black and we cut to Frank and Herb.)
FJ: "Kyle Duke?"
HS: "Obviously one of the many newcomers the AWA has produced in 2005. Anyway, Springs and Breaks is already off to a
great start. Our next match features two tag teams looking to make a name for themselves in the AWA tag team division."
FJ: "Bad Blood and The Immortals already?"
HS: "No, you idiot. This is OTHER tag team match-up of the evening: the Forces of Nature against The Canucks!"
FJ: "Oh..."
("How We Do" hits and the lights go yellow and blue. The AWA-tron shows Thunder with the King of TV under his picture
and right next to it a split screen with Lightning. Sparks come up the ramp as Thunder comes out holding Alyson's hand
followed by his older brother Lightning. As they appear there are showered with boos as all three walk side by side giving
dirty looks to the fans. The sparks go off as Lightning gets in the ring and Thunder helps Alyson in and Thunder gets on
the ropes bad mouthing the crowd.)
HS: "And here come The Canucks!"
FJ: "Oh brother! Why admit that you are from that excuse they call a country?"
HS: "Well, they consider themselves to be Canada's Pride."
(A large pyro explosion shoots up on the stage and "Give It All" by Rise Against starts playing. Both Terry and XTJ run
out, Terry to the right end of the stage and XTJ to the left. They run to the very edge of each side and raise their hands
before jogging back to the center. The two the run down the ramp and slide under the bottom rope into the ring. They then
spring up and go to top of the turnbuckles in front of them. Terry goes to the right and raises his hand while perched on
the tope rope and XTJ does the same on the left.)
HS: "This should be an interesting match-up and should solidify who the number three tag team in the AWA is right now
behind The Immortals and Bad Blood."
("Give It All" fades out and XTJ exits the ring as does Lightning.)
HS: "So it looks like Terry James and Thunder will start this match off together."
(The referee calls for the bell and James and Thunder start to circle each other. The two tie-up and Thunder
overwhelming gains control. Thunder throws James against the ropes and then as James comes back he hits him with a massive
powerslam.)
HS: "Wow! What a way to start the match! He landed a huge powerslam!"
(James springs up and Thunder grabs him quickly. Thunder once again Irish whips James into the ropes and attempts a
powerslam once again, however this time James sidesteps Thunder and hits the ropes again. James comes back and hits Thunder
with a clothesline. The much larger Thunder doesn't bend.)
FJ: "You're going to need more than that you Canuck!"
HS: "Hey!"
FJ: "It's what they want to be called, isn't it?"
(Terry James runs against the ropes once again and clotheslines the large Thunder again. This time he drops to one knee.
James tags XTJ who quickly springs up to the top rope and launches into the air towards Thunder. He performs an outstanding
hurricanrana on the half-downed Thunder.)
HS: "Oh my goodness!"
FJ: "Oh my God!"
HS: "What?! You liked that move, too?"
FJ: "No, I was just reading Thunder's bio and it says right here that Alyson is a male and I am looking at... her?...
right now. That is definitely not a man."
(Thunder tags Lightning in. XTJ and Terry James isolate Lightning into their corner and quickly tag each back in as
they perform double-team moves on Lightning. Thunder becomes frustrated and drops down off the apron onto the arena floor.
He storms over to Terry James and pulls him off the apron. He begins to deliver blows to the shoulders of Terry James. XTJ
runs against the ropes and baseball slides into the back of Thunder, causing him to nearly fall into the first row. The
crowd erupts with the energy of XTJ. He then hits the ropes again and dropkicks Lightning. Thunder gets up on the outside
and grabs two chairs from underneath the ring. He slides one into the ring and then holds onto the other.)
HS: "This isn't a hardcore match, what in the world is he doing?"
(Thunder creeps up behind Terry James on the outside of the ring and attempts to hit him with the steel chair. James
ducks and the chair resounds into the corner of the ring. The referee looks to the outside and sees Thunder with the steel
chair. He jumps down to the outside and tries to pry the chair out of his hands. Meanwhile, inside the ring, XTJ has picked
up the chair Thunder slid into the ring. XTJ holds the chair up in the air and the fans cheer wildly. Lightning is slow to
get up from XTJ's dropkick.)
FJ: "This can't be good."
(On the outside, the referee and Thunder continue to struggle with each other. The chair slips out of Thunder's hand
and nails Terry James as he comes to assist the referee. James hits the ground. The referee begins to attend to the downed
James as Thunder quickly slides into the ring with the chair in hand. Lightning gets up on the right side of the ring as
Thunder stares XTJ down from the left side of the ring. XTJ is standing in the center of the ring with the other steel
chair in his hand.)
HS: "Both members have cornered XTJ in the center of the ring and the referee is on the outside of the ring!"
FJ: "Welcome to America!"
(Thunder runs at XTJ and wildly swings his chair. XTJ ducks and dropkicks Thunder's chair into his skull.)
HS: "The Jackass!"
(XTJ then quickly tosses the other chair into the hands of Lightning. Lightning, confused, is then on the receiving end
of another XTJ dropkick to the chair.)
HS: "Another Jackass!"
(The crowd goes wild as XTJ dropped both Thunder and Lightning in a matter of seconds with two consecutive Jackass's.
The referee climbs into the ring and is confused at the carnage. Thunder rolls out of the ring and falls to the arena floor
as XTJ picks Lightning up. XTJ tags James in and the two begin to double team Lightning. Thunder starts to argue with the
referee. XTJ gets the attention of Lightning which gives Terry James the opportunity to hit the Thunderstruck.)
HS: "Oh my! He hit it."
(James makes the cover. 1!... 2!... 3! "Give It All" begins to play and XTJ and Terry James begin to celebrate.)
HS: "Well, The Canucks definitely dominated this match-up and it is clear that they may be next in line for a shot at
the AWA Tag Team Champions, whomever they may be after tonight."
FJ: "Yeah, when is that match?"
HS: "Don't worry, it's coming Frank."

As the video ends, we cut to Herb and Frank.)
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, May will see the ceremony to induct the AWA Hall Of Fame Class of 2005. Five men will be
inducted and the induction speeches will be held by fellow wrestlers that played important roles in the inductees' careers.
The men holding the induction speeches will be announced shortly, the five men that make up the Class of 2005 will be
revealed today. And the first name we just heard was the reigning AWA World Heavyweight Champion Brian Williams."
FJ: "And Herb, love him or hate him, there is no doubt this man should be in the Hall Of Fame. He is one of the fastest
rising stars in AWA history and has been a main eventer basically his entire AWA career. He is a three-time World Champion
and one of these reigns happens to be the longest World title reign in AWA history."
HS: "Exactly, Frank. And the AWA Hall Of Fame has always honored wrestlers that deserved to be inducted, no matter if they
were active at the time or active again afterwards. Brian Williams falls into that category."
(Black lights come up as they did before as "Take Her Down" by Rob Zombie plays. As the music picks up, white lights flash blindingly as Cynder and Schizm step out from the back.)
HS: "Here they are again. Those freaks."
FJ: "Yeah, aren't they great? Smart, funny, and violent. What's there not to like?"
HS: "They have no conscience. They've already injured Marc Slayer. I have to fear for Paul Parker."
FJ: "Bah, he's better off not with us."
(Cynder and Schizm slide into the ring. "Take Her Down" fades out and "Family Ties" by Cam'Ron, Hell Rell, 40 Cal, and JR Writer plays. Paul Parker walks out slowly, with Paige following, both looking a little nervous. The crowd is actually cheering him somewhat as he walks down the ramp. Paige gets up on the apron, and he helps her in the ring. Then he jumps over the top rope, but Cynder knocks Paige out of the way and catches Parker in mid-air. He turns around and throws the cruiserweight to the mat with a hard spinebuster. The referee rings the bell.)
HS: "They didn't even let him get in the ring before they attack him!"
FJ: "Isn't it great?"
(Cynder and Schizm begin stomping the heck out of Parker. The referee tries to get them to let him up, but they're not technically breaking any rules yet. The two pick up Parker and whip him into the ropes. Cynder lifts him up for a vertical facebuster. On his way down, Parker's hit with a hard dropkick from Schizm. The jester picks him up and throws him into a corner, following him up with a cartwheel handspring elbow for the Running Gag. As Parker stumbles out of the corner, Schizm whips him towards Cynder, who nearly turns him inside out with a stiff clothesline.)
HS: "This is despicable. Parker has no chance in this match. They attacked him before the bell rang and haven't stopped double teaming him since."
FJ: "So?"
(Parker is pretty much limp as Cynder hoists him over his shoulder and hits a running powerbomb onto his knee. Cynder holds him there for a moment as Schizm flies off the top rope, hitting a moonsault elbow drop to Parker's sternum. Cynder picks Parker up and holds him up for Schizm, who slaps him in the face, laughing at him. Schizm backs up and nails a hard kick to the jaw. Cynder allows Parker to stumble out of his grip and turn around, only to be hit by a T-bone suplex. Schizm starts choking Parker. While the referee is occupied, trying to get Schizm off of Parker, Cynder rolls outside and looks under the ring. He pulls out a golf club and puts it in the corner. Then he grabs a chair and goes into the ring. Schizm has stopped choking Parker and now has him in the corner, jabbing his throat with stiff fingers. The referee sees Cynder with the chair and goes over to him, telling him to put down the chair. Schizm takes the opportunity to pull off The Asylum, clapping his fists over Parker's ears ten times before giving him a hard kick below the belt. Parker falls to the mat, rocking in a fetal position.)
FJ: "Ha ha! What a great move by Schizm."
HS: "You mean, ‘what an illegal move by Schizm.'"
FJ: "Same difference."
(Cynder puts Parker up on his shoulders, as if for an electric chair drop. Schizm gets up on the top rope and leaps off, hitting a tornado DDT as Cynder pushes him forward off his shoulders into a facebuster. Parker looks unconscious as Schizm locks him in the Lunatic Fringe. The referee goes to check on Parker, no doubt to end the match, but Cynder pushes him out of the way, in order to deliver a running kick to Parker's face.)
FJ: "Oooooo! That's gonna break a nose!"
(Indeed, blood is flowing from Parker's nose. Cynder grabs Parker by his hair and lifts him to his feet as Schizm laughs and taunts him. Cynder bounces off the ropes behind Parker while Schizm hops onto the middle ropes in front of him. Schizm hits Parker with an asai moonsault body block as Cynder drives his 285 pound frame into Parker's lower back with a spear. Schizm lands on top of Parker and the referee counts 1 ... 2... Schizm lifts Parker's head up, laughing.)
HS: "This is just disgusting. Why don't they just pin him and be done with it?"
(Cynder presses Parker over his head as Schizm hopes to the top turnbuckle close by.)
SCHIZM: "PULL!"
(Cynder tosses Parker into the air as Schizm leaps and catches him with a cutter type move. Cynder now pins Parker for 1... 2... Cynder pulls him up. Schizm produces a pair of brass knuckles from his motley and stalks Parker as the referee yells at Cynder. But a glint of the brass knuckles somehow catches the referee's eye and he runs over to Schizm. Schizm plays innocent, miming "who? me?" while making the knuckles disappear with a sleight of hand. Meanwhile, Cynder picks up his golf club that has been laying in the corner. Parker is using the ropes to get to his feet. Cynder takes a Tiger Woods-esque swing and connects solidly with the side of Parker's knee. Parker screams in pain and falls to the mat as Cynder ditches the club. The referee quickly turns around and checks on Parker. Schizm grabs Parker's injured leg and locks in the Joker's Folly. He presses his weight down on Parker's injured joint while pulling up and twisting. Parker quickly taps out.)
HS: "Finally, this inhuman display of sadism is over."
FJ: "I wouldn't be so sure, Herb."
(Schizm maintains the hold, bouncing up and down on the back of Parker's injured knee. The referee tries to pull Schizm off of him, but Cynder tosses the referee out of the ring and proceeds to repeatedly stomp on Parker. Paige slides into the ring and begs for Schizm and Cynder to stop hurting Parker. Oddly enough, Schizm lets go and walks up to Paige.)
HS: "Well, at least Schizm has a little bit of decency.
(Schizm kicks Paige in the gut and sets her up for the Last Laugh.)
FJ: "Ha! I knew he wouldn't disappoint me!"
HS: "No, Schizm! Don't do it!
(Schizm hits the Last Laugh, throwing Paige on top of Parker. Cynder picks Parker up over his shoulders and nails the InCynderator, sending Parker crashing onto Paige. Cynder then locks Parker into the 3rd Degree Burn over Paige. Parker screams in pain as Schizm crouches down by his face, slapping him and laughing at him. More referees and security run down the ramp. Cynder releases the hold as he and Schizm shove their way through the security as "Take Her Down" starts to play again.)
HS: "Well, I hope they're satisfied. Here come the EMTs to check on Paige and Paul Parker. I hope they're satisfied that they've probably ruined the career of a bright star in the AWA."
FJ: "Well, they look quite satisfied. And it's not like Parker was really that bright of a star. I mean, c'mon. A one time tag team champion with Draven Shadows? We're better off without him."
HS: "How can you say that?"
(After a commercial for the "Best of AWA Gang Wars" DVD, multi-colored pyros go off around the stage and ramp to create a vibrant rainbow in the air. As the opening of "Legend Reborn" by Hammerfall hits, the crowd begins to cheer.)
HS: "And here comes the King of the Rookies."
FJ: "Who got his ass handed last week by the King of the Legends."
(Heading out and toward the ring is ‘The Future Legend' Scott Lotus, dressed in his gold wrestling trunks. The music's thunderous sound is matched with the crowd in a chant "Future Legend". He heads to the ring and then climbs on the turnbuckle, encouraging the "Future Legend" chant and helping with the roar as the music is interrupted and the lights go dark. The chant of "Future Legend" is cut off as the arena goes dark.)
HS: "So are you afraid now, Frank?"
FJ: "What?"
(The music of Alice in Chains ‘Man in The Box' now is heard by all those in the audience and Lotus as he looks at his opponent. Walking with a cocky swagger a well built man with shoulder blonde hair and goatee dressed in a black and white trenchcoat down to the ring. He tosses his coat non chalantly on the ring post revealing his tattoos on his arms facing Lotus with his cocky smile.)
HS: "So, Frank, you think Thumbscrews will win or lose?"
FJ: "Why are you asking me?"
HS: "Because you like to make off-the-wall predictions, sometimes without even thinking of who is even in the match."
FJ: "Shut up! You're so mean, but I'll look past your ignorance. I choose Scott Lotus. I mean, after all, he is the King of the Rookies!"
HS: "Yes he is, but I don't know if he can handle the strange wrestling style of Thumbscrews."
FJ: "Yeah, who can even want to wrestle against a guy with a name like that?"
HS: "Beats the hell out of me."
(The bell rings and with the move of a cobra Thumbscrews starts one of his jab combos to Lotus, who seems to be stunned by all that had happened. Thumbscrews tossed Lotus to the ropes springing Lotus into his arm for a vicious clothesline. Lotus is down on the mat alone, but not for long as Thumbscrews jumps onto Lotus with an elbow to his body.)
HS: "Thumbscrews is moving well in the early goings of this match, surprising everyone here, including Scott."
FJ: "Shut up...stop mocking me..."
(Thumbscrews picks up Lotus by his pony tail to his knees, but Lotus punches Thumbscrews in the stomach knocking Thumbscrews away from him. Lotus then slings Thumbscrews off the ropes for a double jump kick to the body, and he connects, knocking the crazy Thumbscrews to the mat. Lotus is quick to get to his feet and he guides his opponent to his feet. Lotus sets Thumbscrews for a suplex, and connects, sending Thumbscrews down to the mat, with a crashing force.)
HS: "What a move by Scott Lotus! He's trying to bounce back and reclaim his glory."
FJ: "It's about time!"
(Lotus picks Thumbscrews up off of the mat and lays a few open fisted punches causing Thumbscrews to topple backwards into a nearby turnbuckle. Lotus starts to lay in a few punches and he hops onto the second turnbuckle and starts to hammer away on Thumbscrews with a series of punches. The fans count along as Lotus goes from 1 to 10. Thumbscrews, though groggy, punches Lotus in the groin, but the referee doesn't see it. Thumbscrews puts Lotus in a better position for a powerbomb and he connects, laying Lotus out on the match, virtually unconscious.)
FJ: "Oh no!! Get up Lotus! You're the King of the Rookies! Get up!!"
HS: "Frank, I think you know what's coming next!"
FJ: "Don't remind me..."
(Thumbscrews runs to the other side of the ring bouncing off the ropes and landa a devastating leg drop to Lotus. Thumbscrews stand up grabbing Lotus standing him so he then starts one of his three Rolling German Suplexes to Lotus onto the matt. The crowd counting with Thumbscrews for they know what to see next.)
HS: "ONE!"
(Smashed down on the ground Lotus fells the Rolling German Suplex by Thumbscrews but his torture is not over yet as Thumbscrews picks Lotus up again and another devastating Rolling German Suplex shakes the ring as the crowd continues the count.)
FJ: "...two..."
(Lotus grits his teeth feeling the pain to his body as Thumbscrews looks at him for less than a second manhandling Lotus into another the last of the Rolling German Suplexes he uses for the set up of us vicious submission hold to his victim the ‘The Future Legend' Scott Lotus as the crowd finishes their count.)
FJ: "THREE!"
(Thumbscrews looks down at his opponent, Lotus, who is holding himself in pain. Thumbscrews indicates to the crowd what he is going to do next. Laying next to grabbing Scott by his neck pulling it back, Thumbscrews puts all his power into his patented finishing move, The Torture Device the crowd gets louder seeing the submission on Lotus.)
HS: "Thumbscrews has the Torture Device locked in. Will he make Lotus tap?"
FJ: "I hope not. Hang in there Scott!"
(With Thumbscrews's power behind his Torture Device, Lotus grits his teeth trying to find away out, but he is in the center of the ring. The pain shows more and more on Lotus's face as Thumbscrews intensifies the submission hold to his opponent, Knowing he has no place to go to end the agony the whole crowd sees, Lotus taps his hand hard onto the mat three times tapping out to the referee, who quickly points to the bell as the ring of victory is made.)
HS: "Lotus tapped! Lotus tapped! He tapped out to Thumbscrews!"
FJ: "Shut up Herb!"
(Thumbscrews lets Lotus go as if he was no competition at all standing on his feet as the referee holds his arm up in victory to the crowd. Lotus holds his neck and body where the pain from the match was done hearing his opponent's name and music announced over the speakers to the crowd. ‘The Future Legend' has met a stopping stone on his way to forge his legend in the AWA.)
HS: "Here is your winner Frank, and that's Thumbscrew.!"
FJ: "I said shut up!"
HS: "Take a drink of water."
FJ: "No, I'm fine..."
(We go back to our Hall Of Fame graphic, followed by the "Class Of 2005" graphic. The soft piano music stops and is
replaced by "Sleep Now In The Fire" by Rage Against The Machine and we see a highlight package of
3-time World Champion, 2-time US Champion, former TV Champion, former Hardcore Champion, 4-time Tag Team Champion and
Hell Bowl winner 2003 The Hangman.
(At the end of the video we cut back to Herb and Frank.)
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, joining Brian Williams in the Class of 2005 is The Hangman, who is going to make his return to
active competition today. Here we have one of the many successful members that came out of Elimination Enterprises, some
might say he is the most successful of them all."
FJ: "And Herb, this point is hard to argue. Sure, you can say Aaron Matthewson was the Hardcore Champion and not The
Hangman, but the fact remains that this man had one of the most dominant runs in AWA history, ruling the rings of the AWA
for almost ten months in 2002 and 2003. Three World title reigns, beating Mortis Valley, Drake Hyde and Ray Owens to win
Hell Bowl, all within six months. And he never lost that final World title."
HS: "And let's not forget his run as one half of The Lone Star Outlaws alongside his brother Snakebite, the record-setting
4-time AWA Tag Team Champions. No team has even come close to touching then in the Tag Team title department. Again, this is
a man that will be active in the AWA for some time to come, but he certainly has to be in the Hall Of Fame. Anyway, up next,
we have a true grudge match between "The Sensation" Brian Stevens and the Japanese Giant Saidogai. Ever since Saidogai's
return, he's been nothing but trouble for Brian Stevens."
FJ: "Yeah, that big lugnut cost Stevens the Rookie Battle Royal. How low can you get?"
HS: "Your hypocrisy leaves me speechless. But even more than that, we have a rookie referee in the ring, Mathew Ray."
FJ: "That's right, Herb. Due to the large influx of talent recently and the huge card for tonight, our infinitely wise
Commissioner Lethal Louise has authorized the hiring of several new referees to help share the load."
HS: "Probably the first good decision she's made in a long time."
FJ: "But I don't get it. It's not like referees do that much. I mean all they have to do is count to three and order the
bell to be rung. That's not too hard. Even you could do that, Herb."
HS: "Reffing takes a lot more than that, Frank. It also requires quick thinking and good judgement. Two things you lack."
(The lights dim in the arena as ‘The Color of Money' by Bury Your Dead hits over the P.A. system. The fans immediately
react to the opening riff as the greet the superstar with a chorus of heckling and profanity. Brian Stevens emerges atop
the entrance ramp after the intro of the song plays itself out. Stevens simply stands on top of the ramp, looking down on
the people who are screaming obscenities towards him. Stevens raises his arms and, from the backstage entrance, his manager
and long time girlfriend Jessica Kassle emerges and wraps her arms around the waist of her talent. They proceed to the ring,
to the dismay of the fans. The lovers don't acknowledge the hatred emitting from the audience. Stevens slides into the ring
as Kassle takes the steps onto the ring apron. Stevens holds the ropes open for her, and she enters between the top and
middle rope. Stevens hits all sides of the ring, standing on the middle rope and balancing himself on the top rope with his
legs. Stevens raises his arms and jaws with the fans a bit. Jessica is at the opposite side of the ring while this is
happening, glancing into the crowd and resting her arms on the top rope, occasionally yelling at fans of the AWA. Both
stars eventually retreat to a corner and await their competition.)
HS: "Brian looks to be eagerly awaiting Saidogai. He's been waiting to get his hands on him, even bringing in Onslaught,
an old friend of his, to help combat Saidogai. But tonight, he finally gets Saidogai, one on one, in a First Blood match."
(The lights dim in the arena and Sabbath's "Supernaut" explodes through the P.A. The crowd gets to their feet and begin
to cheer. On the tron are various highlights of Saidogai's AWA career. Saidogai then walks out from the crowd and stops in
the middle of the aisle stairs, looking through the arena. He begins to walk down the stairs to the ring. Saidogai stops in
the middle of the aisle and begins to snap punches and kicks. Pyros explode at the stage and the lights flicker red, going
with Saidogai's attacks it seems. He heads over to the steel railing and steps over them before heading up the steel steps
and stepping though the middle and top rope into the ring, just after the lights return to a steady red and the pyros stop.
He removes his shirt and raises his hands in the air and the crowd cheers louder. The lights return to normal and Saidogai
begins to stretch, waiting for the bell.)
FJ: "And here's the giant retard, Saidogai. He's gonna bleed, Summers. Trust me. Stevens is going to make him pay."
HS: "It could happen. Brian Stevens is a great talent. But this is by no means a foregone conclusion. Saidogai is a big
man with enough agility to fly. And he seems to be burning to inflict a lot pain on Stevens."
FJ: "He's just jealous that he's not a sensation like Brian Stevens is."
(The bell rings and the two lock up in the center of the ring. Saidogai uses his strength advantage to throw Stevens
back. Stevens picks himself up and rushes Saidogai, who neatly hiptosses him to the mat. Stevens gets up again and ducks
just in time to save himself from being decapitated by a kick from the Japanese giant. Stevens backs away from him,
rethinking his strategy. Saidogai strikes a martial arts pose to the delight of the crowd, and gestures for Stevens to
bring it. Stevens charges Saidogai again, but is able to duck under Saidogai's swipe and nail a standing dropkick.)
HS: "Dropkick by Brian Stevens."
FJ: "Very nice dropkick at that."
(Saidogai gets to his feet and is met with punches as Stevens backs him up into the corner and lays into him with chops
to the chest. Snapmare from Stevens, followed by a dropkick to the back of the neck. Saidogai doesn't fall over, so Stevens
flips over him and grabs his head on the way down. Saidogai rolls on the mat, grabbing his neck as Stevens taunts the crowd.
As Saidogai gets back to his feet, Stevens whips him into the turnbuckle and follows it up with a huge running clothesline.
As Saidogai stumbles out from the corner, Stevens follows it up with a modified Russian legsweep that sends the back of
Saidogai's neck into the middle turnbuckle. Stevens mounts Saidogai and rains a hail of punches onto his forehead, trying
to bust him open. With a roar of rage, Saidogai uses his massive strength to push Stevens off of him and get to one knee.
Stevens runs at Saidogai, trying to keep pressure on him, but Saidogai grabs him by his crotch and throat while getting up
to his feet, tossing Stevens high up into the air. Stevens seems to hang there for a second before crashing face and chest
first into the mat.)
HS: "What power from Saidogai! Stevens must have been ten feet in the air before crashing back down to earth!"
FJ: "Get up Stevens! You can't let a little fall like that stop you!"
(If the fall didn't stop Stevens, then big leg drop that Saidogai hit him with did. Saidogai picks Stevens up by his arm
and wrenches it before using it to flip Stevens over. He picks him up by his arm again and locks him in another arm wrench.
The Japanese giant's foot lashes out with a hook kick that knock Stevens down. Stevens rolls to a corner, holding his jaw
and uses the ropes to get to his feet. Saidogai charges in and nails a shuffle side kick that knocks Stevens over the top
rope. Stevens lands on the apron, but doesn't fall off as he grabs the middle rope. Shaking the cobwebs from his head, he
starts to climb back up. Saidogai climbs the same turnbuckle and with a few body shots, has Stevens set up for a superplex.)
HS: "Oh my god! That had to hurt!"
FJ: "Damn that stupid giant!"
(The superplex connects and both men are down on the ground. Referee Mathew Ray goes to check on both wrestlers, but
Saidogai rolls to his feet. He steps out of the ring and grabs a chair from the timekeeper and slides back into the ring.
He places the chair flat in the middle of the ring and signals that it's over.)
HS: "I think Saidogai's ready to finish Stevens."
FJ: "Gee, Herb, you think?"
(Stevens stumbles to his feet and is met with a kick to the gut. Saidogai scoops him up and over his shoulder.)
HS: "Tombstone piledriver onto the chair! That's gotta be it!"
FJ: "Dammit."
(Saidogai has his hands over his head, sure that Stevens head must be cracked open. But Referee Mathew Ray checks Brian
Stevens and finds no lacerations on him. When he tells Saidogai, the Japanese giant is livid.)
HS: "I guess Brian's thick skull serves him well."
FJ: "You're just jealous like Saidogai. There's no way Stevens is going to lose now."
HS: "I wouldn't be so sure. Look at Saidogai."
(Saidogai has exited the ring and is looking under it for something. He triumphantly pulls out a spool of barbed wire.)
FJ: "Oh you gotta be kidding me! Who puts barbed wire under a wrestling ring?"
(Saidogai doesn't question his good fortune. Rather, he wraps the barbed wire carefully around his foot so as not to
draw blood and lose the match that way. Carefully hopping on one foot, Saidogai stalks Stevens, who is starting to woozily
get to his feet.)
FJ: "Look out, Brian!"
(But Brian is too far from Frank to hear him and too dazed to hear Jessica's screams in the same vein. With sickening
speed, Saidogai lashes out his barbed wire wrapped foot, connecting solidly with Stevens' head.)
HS: "Breath of Fire! That nearly took off Stevens' head. He's busted open!"
FJ: "Noooooooo!"
(Saidogai raises a hand in triumph as he tries to extract the barbed wire from his foot, bloody with lacerations from
the barbed wire. The crowd cheers for the giant.)
HS: "Why hasn't the Mathew Ray called for the bell yet?"
FJ: "Cause he's a newbie. Did Louise even screen these people before she put a striped shirt on them?"
HS: "He's calling for a microphone."
(Referee Mathew Ray takes a microphone and stands in the center of the ring.)
MR: "The rules of a First Blood Match state that the first person to bleed is the loser. When Saidogai kicked Brian
Stevens, the barbed wire cut him as well as Mr. Stevens at the same time. Therefore, I order that this match be restarted!"
(The crowd boos and Saidogai is livid. He gets in the face of the referee and yells at him. Mathew Ray backs away, but
doesn't change his decision.)
FJ: "Woooo. That's one gutsy referee. But I agree with his decision."
HS: "What are you talking about? Most people agree that it's the first person who makes his opponent bleed is the winner."
FJ: "Maybe he read a different rule book. Who knows? But his decision is final."
(Saidogai finally turns away from the referee in disgust, just as Stevens comes flying in with a steel chair, nailing
Saidogai right between the eyes. The giant crumples to the mat as Stevens takes a moment to breath and wipe the blood from
his eyes. He lays the chair down and picks Saidogai up by his hair and hooks his arms. With a roar, Stevens lifts Saidogai
up for a double underhook powerbomb onto the chair.)
HS: "I can't believe Brian Stevens still has the strength to pick Saidogai up! What power!"
FJ: "That's why he's a sensation, Summers, and you're just a play-by-play announcer."
(Stevens unsteadily makes his way up to the top rope. He yells at the fans in the front row and leaps off with a
moonsault into a legdrop that sandwiches Saidogai's head in between Stevens' leg and the chair.)
HS: "The Showstopper!"
FJ: "Colin Baird is here?"
HS: "No, that's what Brian Stevens calls that move. Very impressive. Saidogai might have a concussion after that."
FJ: "A concussion requires active brain cells, Herb.
(Stevens rolls out of the ring, favoring his leg slightly, and starts looking under the ring. Finally, he triumphantly
pulls out a bag. He slides back into the ring and pours tacks out of the bag on one side of the ring.)
HS: "This is going to get really ugly."
FJ: "Saidogai's in the ring. It's already ugly."
(Stevens hauls up the semi-conscious giant and sets him up for a DDT onto the tacks. He goes to fall backwards, but
Saidogai catches his legs and spins around into a hard spinebuster. Stevens writhes in pain as Saidogai stays on one knee,
trying to shake off the punishment his head has taken. As Stevens rolls out of the ring, Saidogai stands up and immediately
goes to one knee again.)
HS: "Ooo. This doesn't look good. I think that Saidogai definitely has some kind of head injury."
FJ: "Fortunately, there's nothing vital up there."
(Referee Mathew Ray checks on Saidogai and helps the large man to his feet. Out of the corner of his eye, Saidogai sees
Brian Stevens running in with the ring bell. He rolls out of the way and Mathew Ray stumbles into Stevens' line of fire, getting brained with the ring bell for his troubles. Stevens throws down the ring bell in frustration, just in time to be clocked by a superkick from Saidogai. Stevens stumbles backwards into the ropes and then forwards, right into a huge spinning wheel kick, laying Stevens out. Saidogai, perhaps not even sure where he is, climbs up to the top rope slowly. He stands on the top turnbuckle staring out at the crowd and let loose a primal scream. In a shower of camera flashes, Saidogai jumps backwards while corkscrewing around, performing the very tricky Dragon Attack.)
HS: "Oh my god!"
(THUD!!!!)
FJ: "That would have been truly amazing... if Stevens hadn't rolled out of the way! Now it's just hilarious! Ha ha ha!"
(Saidogai lies prone on the mat, just the way he landed, holding his face. Stevens is trying to get up using the ropes
but is not having much luck. Referee Mathew Ray is still out and we can see blood trickling from his forehead. Finally
Stevens gets all the way to his feet, just as Saidogai is getting to one knee. With a running start, Stevens hits Saidogai
in the head with a Yakuza kick. Saidogai clutches his head, but still struggles to get back to his feet as Stevens steps
through the ropes and on to the apron. As Saidogai gets to his feet, Stevens goes for a springboard clothesline, but
Saidogai ducks and Stevens crashes to the mat. Saidogai slowly ascends back up to the top turnbuckle.)
FJ: "See, no brain cells. He's too big to fly around like those stupid cruiserweights."
HS: "Saidogai's an amazing athlete. He's putting his body on the line for these fans."
FJ: "So you agree with me."
(Stevens is up before Saidogai has time to set himself and runs at him. But Saidogai slaps a meaty hand across Stevens'
throat.)
HS: "Looks like we're going to see a modified form of Blitzkrieg!"
FJ: "And the tacks are right there! He can't do that to the Sensation!"
(As Saidogai lifts Stevens into the air, Stevens' foot connects with Saidogai's knee and the giant lets go of Stevens as
he falls most uncomfortably onto the top turnbuckle. Stevens straightens up and grabs Saidogai's head and DDTs him off the
top rope onto the nearby tacks. The top of Saidogai's head gets perforated by the tacks, as well as Stevens back. Both men
writhe on the mat.)
FJ: "Yes! Saidogai's bleeding again! Brian Stevens wins!"
HS: "But Brian Stevens is bleeding as well."
(Stevens wills himself to his feet and goes over to Referee Mathew Ray, who is beginning to come around. Stevens slaps
him a few times and points at Saidogai, whose hair has become matted with blood. But Mathew Ray sees Stevens' back and
calls for another microphone, wiping the blood from his eyes.)
MR: "Seeing as... I did not see... which man... bled first... I have... no choice... but to order... this match to...
continue."
(Mathew Ray drops the microphone and now its Brian Stevens' turn to be livid. The crowd cheers at his anger. He argues
with the referee long enough for Saidogai to get back to his feet. Saidogai grabs Stevens from behind and hits a German
suplex. Saidogai picks Stevens up and throws him into the corner and lays in with huge chops. Stevens tries to fight back
with chops of his own, and starts to back the giant up. But Saidogai counters with a knee to the gut and sets Stevens up
for the Evil Bomb. He hoists Stevens up and walks over to the area with the tacks.)
HS: "Oh my god! Saidogai, don't do it! An Evil Bomb onto the tacks could kill him!"
FJ: "You can't deprive us of the Sensation!"
(Before Saidogai can complete the move, Stevens regains his senses and assaults Saidogai with punches to his face and a
clubbing blow to the tacks still stuck on top of Saidogai's head. Saidogai's grip on Stevens lessens and Stevens is able to
slide off the Japanese giant's shoulders, landing on his knees in front of the giant. Stevens doubles the giant over with a
low blow and scoops him up with all his might and hooks his head.)
HS: "Is this going to be the Sweet Sensation?"
FJ: "Yes!"
(Saidogai's head crashes into the canvas with terrible force. Stevens slumps over him for a moment, breathing hard from
the exertion. Then he grabs the ring bell where he had dropped it before and springs off the middle rope, flipping over
Saidogai with an asai moonsault that causes the ring bell in his hands to smash into Saidogai's face. Referee Mathew Ray
stumbles over to look at Saidogai, but while his hair is bloody, his face is only bruised.)
HS: "How is Saidogai not bleeding from that?"
FJ: "It's not fair!"
(Stevens pounds the mat in frustration. He laboriously picks up the semi-conscious giant and prepares to give him a
Russian legsweep onto the tacks. But Scott Lotus slides into the ring from the crowd with a chair.)
FJ: "What's Scott Lotus doing here?"
HS: "Looks like he's going for Brian Stevens with that chair!"
(Stevens dodges in the nick of time, causing Lotus to smash Saidogai in the face with the steel chair. Saidogai falls
bonelessly into the tacks a gash on his forehead. As Lotus turns around, Stevens clotheslines him over the top rope. Referee
Mathew Ray starts to call for the bell, but realizes that it's on the mat near Stevens and instead calls for another
microphone.)
MR: "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match: "The Sensation" Brian Stevens!"
HS: "Thanks to a little bit of unexpected help from Scott Lotus."
FJ: "Yeah. What a putz Lotus is."
(Stevens raises a hand into the air as "The Color of Money" plays and the crowd boos. Jessica Kassle enters the ring to
support her boyfriend, whose face is a crimson mask, as is Mathew Ray's. Scott Lotus backs up the ramp and the two rookies
lock eyes, staring each other down.)
HS: "I think this feud between Saidogai and Brian Stevens has ended only for a feud between Scott Lotus and Stevens to
begin."
FJ: "Gee, Herb. Ya think? But I'm sure that the result will be the same. Brian Stevens, triumphant in the ring."
HS: "But what a match it was, folks. It may sound strange, but that was the bloodiest First Blood match I've ever seen.
Not to mention controversial."
FJ: "I'll say. I've never seen the referee bleed before. It was scary there for a few moments, but at least we can say
that good triumphed over evil for once tonight."
HS: "Frank! How can you call Saidogai evil and Brian Stevens good?"
FJ: "His finisher is called the Evil Bomb, right? C'mon. And he attacked Brian Stevens first!"
HS: "Nevermind, Frank. We've still got a ways to go tonight."
(As our camera cuts to the back, we see one of the backstage help stop Cynder. He tells him that there is a report that
Steve Holly is in the building and he is in bad condition, currently recieving medical attention. As Cynder leaves to see
what is up, the camera follows along. When he gets to the part of the building where Steve is supposed to be at, he makes
the discovery that the person who is hurt is not Steve. Too late. As he turns around, he is 'graced' with the Hangman's big
boot. Having caught Cynder off guard, The Hangman continues to beat down the AWA superstar with kicks and punches, ending
up giving him a hanging brainbuster through a table.)
FJ: "Woah, what is this all about?"
HS: "I assume The Hangman wants to make sure he gets to face Andreas Lasiewicz one on one later tonight. He is no dummy
after all. Serves them right after what they did to Paul Parker and Paige earlier tonigth! Anyway, coming up next is the
first title match of the evening, and this is one of the matches I have been most looking forward to."
FJ: "Now both these guys are quite new to the AWA, and both are itching to
prove that they belong in the number 1 wrestling organisation in North
America, if not the World!"
HS: "Well put Frank. Well, as you all may know, Atlas' undefeated winning
streak was halted a couple of weeks ago by Cerberus, who defeated him in a
ladder match and claimed his first piece of AWA gold, the Cruiserweight
title!"
FJ: "It was about time! Thank God for good ol' Cerberus. He's been
impressing me alot recently."
(The arena lights begin to flicker and dim as if the power is slowly going
out of the building. Smoke creeps out from the entrance area, snaking its
way down the rampway.)
HS: "And it seems the Number 1 contender for the Crusierweight title is
about to make his entrance."
(The opening bits of Metallica's "Unforgiven" begin to play, followed by a
sharp woman's scream that echoes through the arena. Pyros blast once at the
top of the ramp, illuminating the arena for a brief moment as Tragedy enters
from the back. Unforgiven plays on in the back as the lights start to gain
back their power.)
HS: "Here comes Tragedy! And I must say, he looks as focused as ever. He
last competed on Shock, with a very exciting win over Schizm, Cynder and
"The Gambit" Andreas Lasiewicz..."
FJ: " Exciting? I called it a boring fluke... OH MY GOD!"
HS: "What in the hell?"
FJ: "The Crusierweight Champion is ready to start this match now! He just
attacked Tragedy from behind!"
HS: "Cerberus just nailed Tragedy in the back of the head with a
clothesline!"
(As Tragedy stumbles to the steel grating, the fans let Cerberus know what
they think about him. But the Crusierweight Champion is intently focused on
his opponent. Cerberus begins kicking at Tragedy in the ribs, guiding him
with each kick and rolling him down the ramp.)
HS: "This is a low tactic from Cerberus, but perhaps it may be smart as
well."
FJ: "That's right, Cerberus! Kick him like a soccer ball. HA HA!"
HS: "Shut up, Frank."
(Cerberus picks the dazed Tragedy up by the scruff of the neck, placing one
palm on him, and tosses him into the ring like a puppet. Tragedy struggles
to get to her feet, but as he gets to one knee, Cerberus is already standing
over her, glaring menacingly down at him like a tiger over its prey.)
FJ: "You thought Tragedy looked focused! Cerberus is out to prove something.
He's giving a message to all the competitors that there's a damn good reason
why he's the Crusierweight Champion!"
HS: "Cerberus is quickly gaining the upper hand here tonight."
(Cerberus stomps on Tragedy a bit more, before helping Tragedy up by the
hair. Cerberus begins cursing at Tragedy before nailing him with a huge head
butt. Tragedy drops to the mat, sprawled out dazed, and Cerberus stands over
him glaring at his victim.)
HS: "A headbutt by Cerberus! And if you were watching closely, one of those
horns on Cerberus' forehead just made a small cut of Tragedy's head."
(The ref brings shouting at Cerberus, warning him that if he uses his horns
again, he will be disqualified. Cerberus merely laughes.)
FJ: "Cerberus' just man handling Tragedy like a toy. And he doesn't care
what the fans and the ref have to say about it."
HS: "Luckily for Tragedy, that cut doesn't seem to be very deep. Only a
small trickle of blood has come from it."
FJ: "Cerberus is really owning Tragedy in the early stages of this match."
HS: "Who knows how this match may have been progressing had Cerberus not
assaulted Tragedy before the match began."
FJ: "I know, isn't he brilliant?"
(Cerberus begins laughing at Tragedy and mocking the fans. He again picks up
Tragedy by the hair. But the resilient Tragedy lunges at Cerberus' gut with
a barrage of piercing elbows. The well aimed shots hit Cerberus in the
stomach, forcing the wind out of him. As Cerberus struggles to catch his
breath, Tragedy takes some time to regain his composure, using the nearby
ropes to lean on. Soon both men shake out the cobwebs and are standing
center ring.)
HS: "Tragedy may have bought himself some time here."
(Cerberus lunges out at Tragedy with a clothesline, but the quicker Tragedy
ducks. Tragedy is the first to react, wheeling around and taking stance.
Just as Cerberus wheels around, Tragedy lunges out with fierce stiff kicks
to the Champ's abdomen. Tragedy then begins chopping across Cerberus' chest
as the fans react.)
FJ: "It looks like the momentum may be shifting. Tragedy has renewed life!"
HS: "That Tragedy is vicious for such a small guy."
FJ: "As is Cerberus."
(Cerberus tries to swat off Tragedy, like a fly, but Tragedy rolls around
behind him. Tragedy then begins to lift up Cerberus, going for a German
Suplex.)
HS: "This could be big!"
(However, Cerberus powers out of Tragedy's grip and steps to the side,
scooping him up and quickly dropping him down with a side slam, planting all
his weight into Tragedy.)
FJ: "Well, so much for that."
HS: "Nice counter."
(Cerberus holds Tragedy down for a cover and the referee counts ONE!… TWO!…
Kick out. Cerberus gets to his feet, arguing with the referee, leaving
Tragedy to nurse his wounds. Tragedy, though, wisely rolls out of the ring,
avoiding Cerberus' detection.)
HS: "Smart move by Tragedy. Perhaps he can regain some composure."
FJ: "Tragedy already looks worn out."
(By the time Cerberus can find Tragedy, he has already caught his breath.
Cerberus begins to stalk Tragedy, hopping over the ropes and hopping to the
concrete floor to do so. Tragedy is leaning on the steel ring steps, with
one arm, supporting himself up.)
FJ: "Looks like easy pickings for the Crusierweight Champion."
HS: "I wouldn't be so sure."
(Cerberus sees Tragedy and like a bull seeing red, begins charging. But
Tragedy has setting a trap, and he suddenly lashes out, catching Cerberus
around the arm and dragging him head first into the steel steps via a cross
arm breaker. With a loud thud, the Champion is out.)
FJ: "OOOOH! That looked painful."
HS: "Cerberus fell right into that one. ."
FJ: "And look, the Crusierweight Champion is busted open!"
HS: "Now he really is seeing red."
FJ: "I think he just got too focused on hurting Tragedy. I bet he won't make
that same mistake again when that situation arises again."
HS: "IF... it arises."
(The fans begin to cheer at the action, but Tragedy goes right to work.
After a few kicks, he rolls Tragedy up into the ring, following suit.
Tragedy then locks in a choke hold sleeper on Cerberus, attempting to force
more life out of him. As Tragedy locks the choke in tighter, more and more
blood begins gushing from the cut over Cerberus‘ brow.)
HS: "Tragedy may win this one with his craftiness."
FJ: "I must say, I've enjoyed this match thus far."
HS: "It has been action packed."
FJ: "I was more referring to the blood spewing from Cerberus. HARDCORE!"
(The referee checks on Cerberus, who is still conscious, but barely. He
raises one arm into the air and lets it go. Before it can even hit the mat
once, Cerberus clenches his fist and grits his teeth. Suddenly, his eyes
open wide and Cerberus looks fiercer than ever.)
HS: "Whoa, Cerberus is showing some sign of life here."
FJ: "He‘s like a shark and the blood has awoken him."
(Cerberus then begins fighting for leverage, simply overpowering the
persistent Tragedy. Tragedy never releases the hold, even when Cerberus is
up to her feet. Cerberus then stands up and Tragedy hangs on, nearly
swinging from his neck. Cerberus tries to toss him off, but he refuses to
let go. Finally, Cerberus begins charging full speed at the nearest
turnbuckle, knocking the ref down in the process. Just as he gets there, he
wheels around, slamming Tragedy right into it. Tragedy still, however,
doesn't release the hold.)
HS: "He refuses to give up. He is certainly a tough competitor."
FJ: "He's like the monkey on Cerberus' back, but the ref is out!"
(Cerberus slams Tragedy into the turnbuckle several more times before
Tragedy finally releases his grip in unbearable pain and both men drop to
the mat.)
HS: "Both men are down, but the ref can't make the count, because he is
still down."
(Both men slowly begin to stir, and roll over to their fronts. As they both
get to their feet Cerberus suddenly grabs Tragedy and nails the Howler DDT!)
HS: "HOWLER DDT BY CERBERUS!!!"
FJ: "This has to be it!"
HS: "But the ref is still down."
(Cerberus rolls on top of Tragedy awaiting the count, but the referee
doesn't move from his downed position. Cerberus punches the mat in anger.)
FJ: "Cerberus is furious right now. He has the match won.
HS: "But what is Cerberus doing now? He's on the top rope!"
FJ: "What the... OUCH!"
HS: "Listen to these fans Frank. They really don't like this guy, and he
has just performed a very vile move! Tragedy is busted wide open."
FJ: "The Hellhound dived off the top rope and hit Tragedy right in the
forehead with a punishing and brutal diving headbutt!"
HS: "And it seems this time that those horns, which I can only describe as
unique piercings, finally did their trick. It should be a disqualification
but the ref... Wait! The ref is slowly getting up!"
FJ: "Who could have seen this coming?"
(Cerberus crawls onto the downed Tradegy once more as the ref makes the
count.)
HS: "ONE!"
FJ: "TWO!"
HS: "THR---NO!"
FJ: "WHAT?!"
HS: "Tragedy kicked out."
(Cerberus is livid. He pushes the referee out of the way and slides out of
the ring. He walks over to the commentators table and grabs a steel chair.)
HS: "This is gonna get out of hand very fast here!"
FJ: "Go Cerb! Go and show T--"
(The crowd bursts into a chorusof 'HOLY S(BLEEP)T as Tragedy dives through
the ropes and spears Cerberus in the back, slamming him, and himself into
the side of the commentators table.)
HS: "I DON'T BELIEVE IT!! Tragedy, from outta nowhere, quickly got up and
dived through the ropes, knocking Cerberus into our table. One of our
monitors as just gone out. What you think of that Frank?"
FJ: "..."
HS: "Frank, I think your microphones broke."
FJ: "..."
(The camera shows both men men rolling about on the floor, trying to grab
anything and everything to pull themselves up, as Frank is shown in the
background, messing around with his headset. Tragedy pulls himself up using
the table, while Cerberus does likewise, but instead, using the ring.)
FJ: "Aaaah... There we go. I think I've fixed it."
HS: "Well done."
FJ: "I must admit, that was a great desperation move from Tragedy, but he
seems to have hurt himself as well. I'm not sure if that move is gonna pay
off for him."
(The referee, commentators and the crowd look on as both men try to get to
their feet and begin to stumble about, groaning in pain and still slightly
dazed. The crowd gives a huge pop as both men climb to their feet at the
same time and, upon spotting one another, begin trading lefts and rights.)
HS: "This has become pure mayhem. "
(Tragedy is seemingly the one who gains the advantage, and charges Cerberus
with a shoulder, sending him spine first into the ring railing. The crowd
gasps at the resonating impact heard throughout the stadium.)
HS: "Oh, did you hear that impact?"
FJ: "That should have been a DQ. Come on ref, do your job!"
(Tragedy continues to drive Cerberus into the rail with more and more force
and the crowd begins to get behind him. By this point, Tragedy has become
rejuvenated and the blood has nearly ceased flowing. The same cannot be said
for Cerberus, who appears the worse for wear. Tragedy finally halts and
rolls Cerberus back into the ring .)
HS: "And their back in the ring."
(Once more Cerberus rises to his feet rage and fatigue showing across his
face. But he underestimates Tragedy, sloppily rushing forward but this time
Tragedy drops into a drop toe hold sending Cerberus down to rest his throat
and chest. With Cerberus resting on the ropes Tragedy runs forward and does
a vile double footed stamp on his knee. Once Tragedy rolled off Cerberus
grabs his knee howling in pain.)
HS: "Thats gotta hurt."
FJ: "I can't believe the crowd are loving this! That was not needed!"
(Tragedy quickly stomping his ground opponents knee. He quickly gets a few
more kicks in on the shoulder before trying to pick him up again. Cerberus
hits a shocking T-Bone Suplex.)
HS: "WOW! That was a very sudden move by Cerberus. Doesn't look like he's
out of this match yet!"
FJ: "Don't underestimate the power of the Hellhound!"
( Cerberus attempts a quick pin. One... Two... And Tragedy quickly kicks
out.)
HS: "Doesn't seem Tragedy is out of this match yet either."
(Both men get up to their feet quickly. Cerberus catches Tragedy off guard
with a quick snap suplex. As soon as Tragedy gets back up, Cerberus nails
him with a big boot and Tragedy goes straight down, but quickly flies back
up. Tragedy now locks up with him, and connects with a knee to the stomach.
Then, Tragedy performs a reverse DDT on Cerberus. He goes for a quick cover.
One... Tw... He gets a shoulder up.)
HS: "It looks like the pace is increasing. Tragedy is back in control."
FJ: "And? Silver can wrestle at a fast pace."
HS: "Really?"
FJ: "I think... I hope so.
(Tragedy runs and bounces off the ropes, he runs up and hits a climb up
enziguri and connects with the back of Cerberus's head. Tragedy quickly
leaps to the top rope and spreads his arms in a T shape.)
HS: "Don't tell me..."
(Tragedy comes off the top rope with the Fall From Grace.)
HS: "This could be over Frank."
FJ: "No... NO... NO!!!!"
(The ref starts the count. 1... 2... 3! Tragedy celebrates and Cerberus
fights to his feet and then exits the ring discouraged.)
FJ: "This can't be!"
HS: "He's done it! New Crusierweight Champion!"
(Tragedy drops to his knees as he is handed the Crusierweight title. He
holds it in front of his face smiling as blood drips onto the surface. He
then clutches it close to his chest as the crowd goes wild.)
HS: "Tragedy has ended the Cruiserweight title reign of Cerberus, but Frank, I don't think this issue is already over."
(We go to our Hall Of Fame "Class of 2005" graphic. The piano music stops after a few moments and is replaced by Def
Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" as we cut to a career highlight video of
former World Champion, 2-time US Champion, former Intercontinental Champion, former Hardcore Champion, former AWA
commissioner and key member of The Family, The Hostile Alliance and The Blueprint Dave "The Rave" Santini.
(We then go back to our announcers.)
FJ:" Wooooo! Finally!"
HS: "Love him or hate him, ladies and gentlemen, Dave Santini has had a true Hall Of Fame career. Always close to where the
power was in the AWA, Santini was at the forefront of three of the most influential stables in AWA history. His record-setting
US and Hardcore title reigns still are among the most legendary this company has ever seen. And in 2002 he finally achieved
his destiny and became the World Heavyweight Champion."
FJ: "It is a real shame that he has to spend his time on the injured list right now thanks to that brute Brian Williams.
Nevertheless, Dave Santini finally gets the recognition as one of the AWA's true legends that he truly deserves."
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the tag team titles to be decided."
FJ: "It's the return of Bad Blood to tag team action in the big picture... around the gold!"
HS: "Certainly is Frank, and they are up against the newly formed team and very impressive and successful tag team champions of The Immortals."
("I'm going out" by Mobb Depp begins to play as Dark Warrior and C-Rock make there way down to the ring. Ready for the challenge to come back into things.)
HS: "Bad Blood is looking real good, brings us back to when they ran the tag team scene."
FJ: "I just hate those do-gooders of The Immortals, gaaah."
HS: "There the best tag team in the AWA right now, they have the gold, show a little class and respect."
(Atlas theme hit's the PA as pyros and lights shoot all over the arena and both Atlas and Apollo make there way down the ring with the tag team gold around there waists. They get to the apron and pat each others backs as Apollo steps through the ropes and Atlas slides under them, They look at Bad Blood then each other, as they talk and Apollo starts this off against C-Rock. Both men circle the ring and then they lock up the bigger Apollo gets the advantage but not before C-Rock escapes getting powered down and hit's a fist to the ribs. Apollo soon retaliates with a forearm to the face, then C-Rock hit's a forearm of his own. Apollo grabs him and sends him into the ropes catching him with a big reverse elbow as C-Rock is gets up grabbing his nose. Apollo grabs him and hit's a uppercut and then he throws him into his corner as he gets shoulders to the ribs.)
HS: "Apollo using his size and strength to his advantage in this one."
FJ: "Lame unfair advantage."
HS: "It's not his fault he's a beast. It works for him."
(Apollo pulls him out of the corner and then rams him back into. Apollo snap mares C-Rock out of the corner and then places his knee into his back and pulls back with a chin lock, wrenching back on it. C-Rock tries scotching over to the ropes but to no avail. Dark Warrior jumps into the ring and runs to try and break it up but The ref keeps him out of it as they argue, and C-Rock pokes Apollo in the eye with his thumb, he gets up and then gives Atlas a thumb to the eye as he whips Apollo over to his corner and tags in DW. They both hit right hands to the face of Apollo at the same time and then DW stomps the leg of Apollo once and then snap mares him out of the corner.)
HS: "And now Bad Blood gets an "edge""
FJ: "What's that supposed to mean?"
HS: "Oh you know what it means."
(DW kicks the spine of Apollo and then locks in a headlock from the back, Apollo shakes it off after a couple of seconds and then starts to stir, getting up to one knee, but DW gets up and kicks the spine of Apollo again and then places a right, square in the middle of Apollo's face as he tags in C-Rock who gets in and kicks the spine of Apollo again. He goes around to Apollo's leg and kicks the back of it, then throws it back towards him. He tags in DW as DW comes in and drops an elbow across the leg of Apollo then applies a leg wrench. Atlas tries to get in but the referee runs over and stops him, yelling at him as C-Rock gets down and pulls the arms of Apollo up towards him as he gets stretched from both sides.)
FJ: "What team work from Bad Blood."
HS: "There cheating, it's a tag team match, not a two on one match."
FJ: "It's teamwork quiet."
(DW gets up and picks up Apollo as he suplexes him up and over and into the middle of the ring. He floats over into the cover as the referee turns around and makes the count, ONE..TWO…kickout by Apollo. DW locks in a headlock as he wrenches it in, grounding the big man.)
HS: "I'll admit its good strategy from DW with Apollo."
FJ: "It certainly is, it's why DW has the record he has."
(DW drags Apollo over to his corner but Apollo just throws him into it and then charges but C-Rock throws a forearm into his face and he stumbles back then DW tags him in as C-Rock charges with a clothesline, laying him out, then he picks him up and locks him in for a T-Bone suplex, Apollo blocks it, turns it around and hit's a scoops slam. C-Rock gets up Apollo power slams him to the mat, and there both down as the referee starts the count.)
HS: "What a revamp from Apollo, but now its time for breath. HE really needs to get Atlas into this thing."
FJ: "I don't get where he got all that from, it makes no sense."
HS: "Maybe from the... heavens... eh?"
FJ: "Shut-up Herb."
(C-rock starts to stir, but Apollo is already near Atlas who gets tagged in and rushes in dropping an elbow on the back of C-Rocks head, then a dropkick to DW on the apron. He hit's the ropes and dropkicks the face of C-Rock. Apollo stands up and Atlas charges at him as he jumps up and Apollo launches him backwards into a moonsault on C-Rock, he makes the cover.)
HS: "Alley oop, what team work!"
FJ: "This isn't basketball Herb, they could win this though!"
HS: "ONE... TWO... NO KICKOUT."
(Atlas gets up and hits multiple forearms to the face of C-Rock throwing him into the ropes, but C-Rock reverses and goes for a clothesline but Atlas springboards off the middle rope and turns with a forearm smash. C-Rock is down and he goes for the top rope. He points at C-Rock for the elbow, but DW runs along the apron and tries to take out his legs, Atlas jumps down and hit's a forearm to his face. They get into a forearm battle, as C-Rock gets up and German suplexes Atlas.)
HS: "What impact, it's any man's match now."
FJ: "You're telling him."
(C-Rock makes his way to the corner, as he tags in DW. DW gets in and immediately goes for the ankle of Atlas, Atlas rolls over and counters it into a small package, DW turns it into his small package they both kickout. Atlas rolls over and on his feet but DW takes out his legs from the knees, goes for a cover, Atlas then does the same thing to DW. He kicks out,They get to there feet and lock up, DW pushes Atlas into the corner, but Atlas is quick to turn it into a drop toe hold in the corner. He goes a makes the tag to Apollo.)
HS: "Man that was fast."
FJ: "That's the little guys for you."
HS: "Oh hush Frank."
(Apollo runs in and grabs DW out of the corner, he whips him into the ropes and then kicks him in the gut, he gets behind him and goes for a german, DW blocks it. Atlas comes in and hit's the ropes then gives a super kick to DW and sends him over into the german suplex, as he bounces and then rolls out of the ring. Both men get up and celebrate but C-Rock runs in and clotheslines Apollo over the top rope to the outside. He turns around and gets met by a dropkick from Atlas sending him to the top rope.)
HS: "Right after the wrath of the Gods, C-Rock had to interfere."
FJ: "He's in the match."
HS: "You know what I mean."
(Atlas looks at everyone starting to stir on the outside as he hit's the ropes then jumps to the outside with a huge cross body crashing into everyone, the crowd goes nuts.)
HS: "What a high risk move by Atlas."
FJ: "It was uncalled for."
HS: "He's doing what he needs too, to win, he's a former Cruiserweight Champion for gods sake."
(Atlas gets up and helps up Apollo. The other men start to stir as Apollo hits DW then DW retaliates and pushes him they get into a slug fest, but Apollo uppercuts him then sends him under the ropes inside. All men go to there corners, as DW and Apollo slug it out inside.)
HS: "Back to the ring."
FJ: "Good call Herb."
(They lock up and Apollo quickly gets behind him but DW grabs the ankle of him and takes him down then goes for the ankle lock but Apollo kicks him in the face gets up and locks in the Midas Touch, but DW quickly gets his arm free before Apollo can lock it in and rolls forward into his Ankle lock again, this time getting more of it, but Apollo quickly turns and throws DW away with his sheer power, and he gets up to get met by a kick from DW as he sets him up for the pedigree.)
HS: "That's C-Rocks finisher."
FJ: "Theiy're a team, great minds think a like."
HS: "This is it."
(Apollo powers out and hooks the arms of DW into The Midas Touch again this time locking it in. C-Rock charges in as does Atlas from behind Apollo, Apollo pushes DW into C-Rock and it knocks him back as Atlas charges him and then Apollo rolls him up.)
HS: "This could be it."
FJ: "It could be Frank... could be."
(ONE... TWO... THREE.)
HS: "Immortals retain, great defense by them tonight."
FJ: "Boy is there gonna be some Bad Blood, tonight."
(Cutting to the back once again, we see a group of mimes performing off in one of the hallways for a young couple. As
Schizm walks by, the performance garners his attention. In fact, Schizm is very entertained as they begin to overexaggerate
and make fun of The Hangman. Unbeknownst to the sadistic jester, he doesn't see The Hangman sneaking up around one of the
corners he just walked by, branding iron in hand. The mimes don't scream, but they point behind Schizm as their mouths make
the perfect 'O.' Schizm, deciding to go ahead and play along, nonchalantly turns around and when he does....BAM! A wicked
shot to the head by The Hangman with the branding iron! Rearing back as to hit the mimes, they run away. As The Hangman
stalks off, we hear him reply.)
HANGMAN: "Guess that was pretty damn funny."
FJ: "Not him again! Man, he shouldn't do that to good people like The Carnival!"
HS: "Well, as it stands now, Lasiewicz versus Hangman WILL be one on one."
HS: "Up next everyone, we have what could be the final chapter in this strange story between Nathan Hawthorne-Lee and
Maxx Skabb."
FJ: "I don't even think that strange could be used to describe this story, it's that off-the-wall!"
HS: "The history between these two has been well documented over the last couple of months, but this match is taking
place because of that controversial ending to the Boiler Room Brawl that took place at Vortex, last month."
FJ: "The rules for the match are simple, the first person to leave the boiler room is the winner. What was never taken
into consideration is that there are more ways than one to leave a boiler room."
HS: "It was at Maxx's own hands that NHL won that match. Maxx threw Nathan through a glass window, causing NHL to retain
his No Limit Championship. The crash through the window, along with other injuries, caused NHL to be out of action for a
long time. This is his first match since Vortex. NHL and Maxx signed a contract for this match, and this contract contained
a special clause."
FJ: "This clause stated that neither man could lay one hand on each other. This was the "No Tolerance" Clause. If NHL
touched Maxx or if Maxx physically touched Nathan, there would be dire consequences. NHL would permanently lose the No Limit
Championship, hence ending his long reign as the champion, and Maxx Skabb no longer be elligle to win ANY championship gold
the AWA would have to offer."
HS: "And this strange clause came at a time when NHL's wife Sarah was being stalked by a prowler, who would reveal
himself to be none other than Maxx Skabb. After the contract signing, Maxx and Nathan would constantly be around each
other, one trying to psych out the other. They literally became attached at the hip and would interact with each other on
every show leading up to the PPV, almost as if there was a twisted friendship at work."
FJ: "There wasn't a twisted friendship, I just think it was a bunch of mind games. And with the appearance of Henry at
the end of Xplosion, there seems to be something else brewing between these two. Henry seems to be using the services of
Maxx Skabb to do some kind of dirty work, while Nathan is forced to the side, allowing this 'Henry' to take control and
give orders to his worst enemy."
HS: "There is always something going on betweent those two, but I'm sure that there will be no deals tonight. I know
that Nathan Hawthorne-Lee will not be distracted by his alter ego, 'Henry' as he will be more focused on Maxx Skabb. NHL is
looking for revenge on Maxx for the injury and the videos and Maxx is just looking to strip NHL of his title."
(The lights dim, as "Duality" by Slipknot fills the arena, starting softly with "I push my fingers into my..." before
picking up in volume, as Corey Taylor begins to scream. Sparks rain down from the ceiling, as a black light strobes through
the arena. Maxx steps through the curtain, dressed in a pair of black jeans, with a hole in the left knee, and a pair of
dirty combat boots, that the pants are tucked in. He also has an orange inmate button-down, with short sleeves that cover
only part of his tattoos, and black fingerless gloves on both hands. His head is covered with a black bandana, with an
orange skull and crossbones watching from the front of it.)
HS: "Well, no matter what deals are currently going on between these two, the only thing happening at this moment is the
attempted aquisition of the No Limit Championship by Maxx Skabb."
FJ: "That is definitely true. NHL is defending his No Limit Championship, a title he won from Andreas Lasiewicz on
December 19, 2004. Since then, NHL has fended off all comers for the gold and every chance has been successful. Tonight,
Maxx has the opportunity to either end that streak or become a victim all over again to this totalitarian reign that NHL
has amassed."
HS: "Totalitarian? He's not a tyrant, you idiot."
FJ: "I meant totalitarian in the sense that he has held the belt for almost the entire length of his career."
HS: "That was definitely the incorrect usage of the word totalitarian."
FJ: "Whatever you snot-headed brat."
(Maxx slides under the bottom rope, and mounts the middle turnbuckle, the corner closest to him. He raises his hands
high, clench fist, as the song repeats "All I've got, all I've got is insane." He then steps off, striding the ring, while
unbuttoning the orange "Broward County Correctional" inmate shirt. He tosses his ring attire in the corner, and begins to
pace the corner, staring at the entranceway, like a caged animal. He stops pacing and hops onto the top turnbuckle and
waits for NHL's arrival. White, Red, Gold, and Green lights flash as "No Remorse" by Metallica hits the arena. When the
solo begins in the song, about 10 seconds from start, NHL emerges from the curtain area with his AWA No Limit Championship
belt around his waist. Sarah follows NHL and stands behind him. He stands there for a moment, staring out around the crowd,
getting psyched up for the upcoming match. A short while later, NHL explodes from his trance with rage and excitement. He
walks down the ramp, throwing his arms in the air, pumping himself up and the crowd for the upcoming clash.)
FJ: "To get back to more serious matters, we have our reigning AWA No Limit Champion, Nathan Hawthorne-Lee, making his
way down to the ring with his wife, Sarah Hawthorne."
HS: "But you have to wonder to yourself, Frank, why she is coming down to the ring. She has been harassed and violated
over the past month by Maxx Skabb, yet she is making her way to the ring."
FJ: "I personally think it's because she is a strong woman. She has strong character and she's not afraid of anything.
But I'm sure she'll be afraid once we get the chance to see those videos. I STILL haven't seen anything yet, but I'm sure
we will on the horizon."
HS: "Oh, get over yourself, Frank. It's old and it's over. I doubt they will be on the internet anyway."
(NHL then pauses in front of the ring for a few seconds, as if he couldn't wait to get in. He then makes his way to the
ring steps, taking his time climbing up each step. NHL takes his time getting into the ring through the top and middle
ropes. Sarah follows her husband to the ring, entering from under the middle rope. He walks to the middle of the ring,
takes his No Limit belt off, and slowly raises his arms in the air with is title in one hand. He makes his way to the
nearest turnbuckle and does the same. NHL hops off the turnbuckle and he walks over to the referee to dump off his No Limit
Championship. The referee takes the belt and raises it into the air as NHL stands in the middle of the ring looking at the
former convict of the Broward County Correctional community. Maxx is still sitting on the turnbuckle staring a hole into
the pupils of NHL while Nathan stares that same stare back at Maxx Skabb.)
HS: "Look at the stare going on between these two competitors."
FJ: "It looks like they're having a staring contest. I think Maxx is gonna win."
HS: "They aren't having a staring contest, but I think they are waiting for something. Maybe a move from the other
person. Maybe something to signal that the match is going to get under way."
(The referee signals for the bell. As this is being signaled, Maxx slowly comes down from the turnbuckle. The referee
hands the No Limit Belt to the time keeper and comes back to see that Maxx has just taken two steps towards NHL. NHL runs
up to Maxx and spears him to the mat and starts to hammer away onto the scarred head of Maxx Skabb.)
HS: "Here we go and now we have our match."
FJ: "I see now, they were waiting for the bell...very interesting. And this doesn't look like a match. This looks like a
brawl."
HS: "No matter what this is, it's a fight for the No Limit Championship. The rules are simple, there are no rules. There
is one rule and that states that the deciding fall or submission must take place inside the confines of that ring. There
are no rope breaks. There are no count outs. There are no disqualifications. This match is not a match, but a fight for the
belt. Only one man can win this."
FJ: "And with the way this beginning is going, that can be any man. Maxx has rolled NHL onto his own back and started to
pummel him and then NHL reversed it and did the same to Maxx. This is just a back and forth melee and I am very glad that I
am here to witness it."
(As Maxx is on top of NHL, Nathan sees an opening and knees Maxx right in the groin. Maxx rolls off NHL and lands on his
side, both hands on his groin. NHL rolls up and goes to lock in the Penalty, but Maxx is able to weasle out of it. Maxx
rolls to the outside of the ring to regain his composure. NHL stands up and looks at Maxx on the outside. Maxx walks up to
the apron and lifts it up. He pulls out a chair, but NHL notices it and does a baseball slide with the chair swinging back
and knocking Maxx in his face, sending him to the ground. NHL slides out of the ring and picks up the chair. He holds it
and looks around at the fans sitting front row. They start screaming and motioning for the swing down to Maxx's body. NHL
takes the chair with both hands and raises it back behind his head. He goes to swing down, but Maxx rolls out of the way
from the attack, just narrowly missing a chair shot to his head. Maxx gets to his feet and NHL drops the chair and runs
towards Maxx. Maxx sees this and hits NHL with a boot to his face. NHL lands on his back on the ringside mat. Maxx slowly
walks over to where NHL dropped the chair. The whole arena starts booing as Maxx picks up the chair.)
FJ: "Listen to the disrespect of the crowd. They are so rude and inconsiderate."
HS: "Why should they be nice. Maxx always treats all crowds like trash, so why should they treat him like a war hero?"
(Skabb, with chair in hand, looks over at NHL, who is just about to his feet. Maxx then turns his attention to Sarah,
who is on the opposite side of the ring from Maxx. Maxx rolls into the ring with the chair and slowly walks towards Sarah.
Sarah doesn't notice Maxx until he's about three feet from the ropes nearest to her. She sees him and she slowly starts to
move away from him, towards her husband, who is kneeling on one knee while trying to regain his composure. Maxx starts to
stalk Sarah, with the steel chair in his right hand still. Sarah runs past NHL and Maxx follows, but fails to realize that
Nathan is there waiting for Maxx to run by. NHL unleashes a clothesline that knocks Maxx around in a 270 flip with the
chair falling by the ramp area.)
HS: "It looks like NHL was lying in wait. Sarah was in trouble and her husband saw that. She ran towards him and Nathan
hit that awesome clothesline on Maxx."
FJ: "Yeah, that was an awesome display of power on the part of NHL. It seems that's one of the reasons why he has held
that belt for such a long time."
(NHL walks over to Maxx and picks up the ex-con by his head and helps him to his feet. NHL and Maxx tie up in the head
and elbow hold. NHL is able to get the advantage over the recently weakened Skabb. NHL sets Maxx up for a snap suplex. Maxx
lands on the mat from the hard delivered suplex. He holds his back in pain, but NHL is resilient to deliver punishment on
Maxx. NHL picks up Skabb and sets him up for some other kind of punishment. NHL sets up and successfully delivers a DDT to
the 2 inch mats. From the power and force used, Maxx is temporarily suspended on his head for about a second before falling
onto his back. NHL is still holding onto Maxx's head after the hard DDT to the pads. NHL picks up Maxx and hits a scoop
slam on Maxx. Nathan decides to leave Maxx alone at the moment and walks over to the chair that has been sitting near the
ramp. He picks the chair up and walks over to Skabb. NHL raises up the chair, to the cheers of the crowd and the commanding
words of his wife. NHL swings the chair down, but Maxx lifts his leg and uses the bottom part of his foot, stopping the
forward movement of the chair. NHL lifts the chair up for another shot, but Maxx swings the leg out quickly and catches NHL
below the belt. He drops the chair and falls to the ground. The fans start up their chorus of boos while Maxx smiles on.)
HS: "Wow! It seemed that Nathan had the momentum leading up to this point in the match."
FJ: "Yeah...'HAD' the momentum. Look at Skabb. He's soaking up these boos like a flower in the sun."
(With NHL lying on the ground near the ring, Maxx circles NHL like a buzzard circling its prey. Maxx picks NHL up and
knees him in the stomach. NHL doubles over from the contact, but Maxx hits NHL in the stomach again. This causes NHL to
grab his stomach again and bend over from the pain. Maxx slaps Nathan in the face and talks some trash. NHL is
non-responsive but Maxx grabs NHL by the shoulders and forces him down so Maxx can drive his knee into Nathan's stomach.
This contact causes NHL to become a little weak, almost dropping to one knee, but Maxx stops him and drives a final knee
into his stomach. NHL drops down to his left knee, holding his midsection. Maxx smiles and grabs Lee by the head and drives
his knee into the side of NHL's head. NHL falls to the mat on his right side and Maxx stomps on NHL a few times for good
measure.)
HS: "What a powerful display of aggression and strength by the challenger. Maxx has NHL worn down enough that he can
roll him into the ring and attempt a pinfall to end this match and become the third ever No Limit Champion."
FJ: "Bah! I don't see anything happening. Maxx is just rolling NHL into the ring, nothing exciting about that."
(With NHL now in the ring, Maxx whips NHL into the ropes and connects with a powerful spinebuster on the No Limit
Champion. Maxx takes this opportunity to attempt a pinfall on NHL.)
FJ: "Maxx can have the match won here. ONE... TWO... Oh, but NHL is able to get his shoulder up. Oh well, sucks to be
Maxx Skabb."
HS: "You better hope that Maxx doesn't hear you say that."
FJ: "What's he going to do?"
HS: "I don't know...maybe kill you."
FJ: "That would suck. I think I'll stop for now."
HS: "Well, that's go-"
FJ: "Syke! I'm not stopping. Screw that stupid ex-con."
(Maxx, disappointed, kneels over NHL's chest and hits him in the face with a hard shot from a closed-fist. Maxx picks up
NHL's head and hits him upside the head with an elbow. With NHL lying on the mat, Maxx gets up and flips off the crowd. The
crowd starts to boo him and Maxx just walks around with a smile on his face, antagonizing the crowd a little more. He looks
around and sees Sarah pounding her hands on the mat, trying to cheer her husband on. Maxx starts to walk towards her and
Sarah notices this and starts to back up. Maxx smiles as he's extending his hand out to her, but she backs up some more.
Sarah looks at Maxx and then she moves her head to look at her husband who is now standing up in the ring, looking at Maxx
stalking his wife. Sarah looks back at Maxx then looks back at Nathan. Maxx notices her moving her head and he starts to
turn around, but it's too late as NHL blindsides Maxx with a running forearm to the back of Maxx's head. This forces Maxx
into the turnbuckles face first. NHL spins Maxx around and punches him in the face with a sharp closed fist. NHL punches
Maxx in the stomach and then punches Maxx in the face as Maxx was bending over from the stomach shot. NHL lifts Maxx up
onto the top turnbuckle and punches him in the stomach some more. NHL climbs up the turnbuckle with Maxx and the two are
standing on it. NHL cautiously punches Maxx in the stomach and calls for the SlapShot. NHL sets Skabb up for the SlapShot
from the top turnbuckle, but Maxx fights back and pushes NHL down to the mat below, landing on his back. Maxx hops down
from the turnbuckle and picks up the injured NHL. Maxx whips NHL into the corner with such force that he bounces off and
starts to walk forwards, but Maxx runs and nails NHL with a running shouldertackle, causing him to fly backwards into the
corner again. Maxx lifts up NHL and sits up on the top turnbuckle, but he has him on it backwards. Maxx adjusted NHL's feet
so they would get stuck when he drops him into a tree of woe. Maxx stomps on NHL's chest and he walks back towards Sarah.
Maxx blows her a kiss and he charges towards the vulnerable Nathan Hawthorne-Lee and connects with a powerful spear into
NHL's midsection, which almost folds backwards from the gap between the turnbuckles. Maxx releases NHL's feet and Nathan
falls down to the mat, landing on his stomach.)
HS: "Wow, what a powerful shot by Maxx Skabb. He calls that move the Jailbreak. I guess Maxx saw that SlapShot coming
and did what he did."
FJ: "That wouldn't have been any ordinary SlapShot if NHL had connected with it. That would have been a SuperShot if he
connected it. That would probably have been the deciding move for the match and it would have probably ended Maxx Skabb's
career."
HS: "And I know that every heard in North Carolina would be bleeding if they found out that Maxx's career ended. But
speaking of Maxx and ending, it looks like he's going for a cover here after that Jailbreak. This could be it! ONE... TWO...
THR-Oh my! Oh my! NHL just barely got his shoulder up off the canvas. That hand was coming down for three and was just
about a half of a foot off the canvas when NHL got that right shoulder off the mat. That was a very close call."
FJ: "Maxx almost ended NHL's illustrious run as the No Limit Champion, but it seems that it wouldn't be happening any
time soon."
(Maxx is obviously frustrated by the close call. He gets up and argues with the referee that it was a three count. The
referee says it wasn't and that NHL got his shoulder off the canvas. With Maxx distracted by the referee, this is giving
NHL more time to recuperate from the assault by Maxx Skabb. As Maxx is still arguing with the referee, Sarah decides to
walk up the ring steps and stand on the apron, waving and pointing at Maxx to get is attention. Maxx sees Sarah from the
corner of his eye and he starts to walk towards her. Sarah waves Maxx to come on and she climbs down the steps. Maxx gets
out of the ring and walks towards Sarah as she walks backwards past the steel chair and up the ramp. She stops in the
middle of the ramp and Maxx stops a few feet in front of her. Sarah starts to seductively pose for Maxx as he looks on.
Meanwhile, NHL is rolling out of the ring, a little shaky and he wobbles towards Maxx. He stops and sees the chair on the
ground and picks it up and walks towards Skabb. Maxx is oblivious to what's going on, though Sarah sees her husband coming
up the ramp with the chair in hand. Sarah walks up to Maxx and puts her finger to his mouth and tells him to wait there and
she steps back a few steps. Maxx walks towards her, but she shakes her head and tells him to stay where he is. Maxx starts
to walk towards her, but NHL raises the chair and brings it down onto Maxx's head with such force that the back support of
the seat breaks off and flies to the ramp. Maxx goes dead limp and falls straight down to the mat. NHL thanks his wife and
he drops the chair off the side of the ramp. He grabs Skabb's right arm and starts to pull him down the ramp towards the
ring with Sarah following not too far behind.)
HS: "That was such a horrid chair shot."
FJ: "You're telling me. That chair literally disintegrated! Such a powerful shot."
(As NHL is dragging Maxx down the ramp, he stops about three feet from the ring and looks down at Maxx's right arm. NHL
tolls Maxx into the ring and grabs a steel chair from under the ring. NHL rolls into the ring with the steel chair and
drops it on the ground. NHL lifts up the still 'wobbly' Maxx Skabb and kicks him in the stomach and delivers a hard
SlapShot to the chair. NHL rolls Maxx of the chair and grabs his right arm. NHL opens the chair slightly and positions
Maxx's arm in the slightly unfolded chair. NHL hops onto the second turnbuckle and jumps down onto the chair. The chair
crashes into Maxx's arm and Maxx starts to roll around the ring.)
HS: "What a vile move by the No Limit Champion!"
FJ: "I guess Maxx got what he deserved."
HS: "That's not right! NHL is trying to ruin his career!"
FJ: "It's payback, you know that. If someone was filming your wife, would you just let it slide?"
HS: "You have a point."
FJ: "NHL goes for the cover now. ONE... TWO... THREE! That's it! NHL has retained his No Limit Championship!"
HS: "But at what cost? Maxx may have a serious shoulder and arm injury. Just a little over a month ago that shoulder was
dislocated. Now it's been aggrivated again."
("No Remorse" by Metallica starts to play as NHL and Sarah walk up the ramp past the EMTs who are rushing down the ramp
to get medical care to Maxx Skabb.)
HS: "I wonder what his condition will be? We will update you on next week's Xplosion with more information."
(As the EMT tend to Maxx Skabb we go to our Hall Of Fame "Class Of 2005" graphic. The piano music stops and instead we
hear "Ambitions Of A Rider" by 2pac and we see career highlight of
former World Champion, former Hardcore Champion and key member of Elimination Enterprises Nightmist.
We then cut back to Herb and Frank.)
FJ: "Man, soon all of Elimination Enterprises will be in the Hall Of Fame."
HS: "That could very well happen, Frank. Nightmist has also been known as Bull Majors and as Haunt. He main evented Classic
last year in one of the nastiest brawls against Brian Williams. Not to mention his violent brawl with Drake Hyde in the King
of the Kage 2003 finals, which ended Drake's career in the AWA and put Nightmist out of action for about a year."
FJ: "Yet when he returned, he added a World title to his resume which already included the record-setting longest title
reign in AWA history as Hardcore Champion."
HS: "And now, Nightmist joins fellow EE members Jack Happy, Crimson Dream, The Punisher, Black Dragon and The Hangman in
the AWA Hall Of Fame."
US TITLE MATCH SUMMARY
Coin toss - BlackJack pairs with Poppa as they are the first two to have the same face (both heads... BJ heads, JW tails, Poppa heads...)
Tag match - Baird and Williams, despite their differences, work together. Poppa, however, refuses to. BJ starts out against JW. JW works him over for a bit, but BJ manages to hit a super kick and both men are down. A hot tag is made to Colin, but Poppa hops off the apron before BJ can tag him. BJ tries to fend off Colin, but is too exhausted. Colin works over BJ but BJ manages to hit his TBone suplex and another tag is made. Again, Poppa avoids BJ, leaving him exhausted in the ring. Williams, fresh off the tag, charges BJ but BlackJack backdrops him over the ropes. Poppa then enters the ring, behind BJ. He wheels BJ around and kicks him in the stomach. He then cougar bombs BJ over the ropes. BJ slams hard into the railing outside, knocking him unconcious. JW, outside the ring, takes the oppurtunity to roll BJ in the ring and get the one... two... three as Poppa laughs on. The scheduled thirty second break actually takes about five minutes as EMT's rush to BJ's aide, giving Baird and JW recup time.
With Poppa's plan somewhat spoiled, and a new US Champ definatly coming, the Triple Threat match starts. For a good while, all three men go back and forth. Baird brings in a chair, and goes to nail JW, but Poppa grabs it from behind and nails Baird over the head. JW then dropkicks the chair into Poppa's face, sending him sprawling backward and otuside the ring, busting Poppa open. JW then leaves the ring and pulls a ladder (how ironic) from under the apron. Baird and Williams battle in the ring, both trying, but never managing to nail one another with the ladder. Poppa sneaks back in and nails Williams in the back of the head with the chair, busting him open. Poppa then brawls with Baird and chokeslams him onto the ladder, which is laying in the center of the ring. Poppa, feeling it, goes up high as the fans actually begin to get behind him. He leaps off and SLAM! connects with a splash right on the ladder. Colin Baird comes to and then goes up top himself. WHAM! He connects the Shooting Star on Poppa, sandwhiching him between the ladder. Baird pins Poppa, 1..2..3. Before the bell rings, Baird turns around to be smacked in the face with the end of the 'real' ladder, busting him open. A minute goes by as Poppa is helped from the ring by some referees, as Tiffany worridly looks on.
The final stage, the ladder match starts. Both men beat the living hell out of one another with the two ladders. It's back and forth, rather bloody, until finally, late in the match, JW hits Baird with a brain buster onto the edge of the ladder. John Willams then ascends the turnbuckle and lands a 450 splash on Baird, connecting with Baird and the ladder. Several moments go by with both men out, when they both come to, groggily, not noticing the other. Each man sets up a ladder and begin to ascend, finally noticing one another and racing to the top. They meet one another, both atop their 12 feet ladder, and begin trading rights and left. Suddenly, the both reach for the title and pull... the force sends both men down to the mat, hard, onto their backs. JW grips the US title firmly and Herb makes a reference about Baird letting the title literally slip through his fingers.
John Williams is the NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION!
Baird climbs to his knees and can't believe it as the fans cheer the amazing match up. Williams holds the title high as he walks back up the ramp proud, leaving Baird to sulk in the ring as a video package for the Bawm memorial is shown.
(We cut to our Hall Of Fame "Class Of 2005" graphic for the final time, as the fifth name is going to be revealed. The
piano music is replaced by Tool's "Parabola" and we see career highlights from
4-time World Champion, former Intercontinental Champion, former TV Champion, former Cruiserweight Champion and key
member of The Family "The Hitman" Ray Owens.
We go back to Herb and Frank.)
FJ: "About damn time, Herb, about damn time!"
HS: "For years people have been asking for Ray Owens' Hall Of Fame induction. Now, in 2005, the time has finally come. Owens
has been one of the key players in The Family, along with Travis Gray and Dave Santini. He established the standard of in-ring
excellence that every other wrestler is being measured by. Ray Owens was the first-ever 4-time AWA World Heavyweight Champion,
and to this day, he is the man with the second most reigns as World Champion."
FJ: "And above everybody else, this is the man that makes the AWA Hall Of Fame complete. In 2005, you cannot have an AWA
Hall Of Fame without "The Hitman" Ray Owens."
(We cut to the backstage area once more where the camera pushes open a door, slowly and quietly, to reveal a dressing
room, with a mirror and a locker. The mirror has "The Gambit" written all over it in marker pen. The camera turns right and
steps fully into the room. A fake plant is in the corner and two, large, leather couches are arranged in an L-shape, with a
table, full of various food, most of which has been eaten. Directly opposite one of the couches and along the same wall as
the door, is a large television screen, with Springs and Breaks being broadcast on it. The footage in the screen is
actually what we see now. Lasiewicz is shown, sitting alone in this room. The door swings open and "The Gambit" jerks back,
not realizing it is just one of the AWA staff.)
Man: "You ready, Mr. Lasiewicz?"
(Andreas turns his head at the man.)
Lasiewicz: "I'll be there in five, okay..."
Man: "Yes sir!"
(The man leaves, but leaves the door open. Lasiewicz puts his head in his hands. After a brief pause, and a deep sigh,
he stands up and walks to the end of the room. He turns one last time to survey the room, bows his head and exits, slowly
closing the door as he does so.)
(When he finishes the screen turn to another camera, following Lasiewicz down a corridor, lined with scaffolding, boxes
labeled "AWA" and a couple of drinks machines. He stops as he reaches a large black curtain. He bows his head and begins to
psyche himself up for his entrance. But as he does this, his head turns to the right. At the end of another corridor is a
flashing green emergency exit sign. Lasiewicz slowly looks around the corridor to see if anyone is around. The camera pans
around with him to show that the corridors are empty apart from himself.)
Lasiewicz: "It's now or never..."
(Lasiewicz gulps and makes a single step towards the exit.)
Man: "Are you ready sir?"
(Andreas suddenly halts and closes his eyes, mouthing the word bugger. He turns to the man and nods. Reaching into his
jacket pocket, he pulls out a crumpled cigarette and lights it up. Approaching the curtain, he rises his head to the heavens.)
Lasiewicz: "You gotta do this now. Remember... It's all an illusion... And he isn't undefeatable!"
(He procedes through the curtain as the arena darkens slowly. An air siren begins to sound, with green spotlights shooting
in all directions as an infamous slogan is revealed on the big screen...)
COME N PLACE YA BETS!!
("Welcome to the Jungle" suddenly thunders from the P.A system. "The Gambit" steps out from behind the curtain, a
traditional cigarette in his mouth as he stalks his way down to the ring, and he cracks a cheeky grin at the mixed reaction
from the crowd. He circles the ring, rolls in and stands on the turnbuckle, surveying the fans with a grin. He hops off and
stops for a minute receiving the reaction of all the fans. He then walks slowly over to the top rope before perching
himself on the top rope, raising his right arm in the air as the crowd screams.)
HS: "Here he, is the man that will be facing The Hangman in the beginning of his war path right here tonight!"
FJ: "May anyone who gets in the way of The Hangman be blessed"
HS: "The Gambit is no pushover Frank, he will test The Hangman every step of the way tonight, if The Hangman has any ring
rust, we could see an upset here tonight."
(A picture of a longhorn skull appears on the AWA Tron with a rope hanging off of each horn, ending in a hangman's noose.
Red pyros go off as The Hangman parts the curtains.)
HS: "Look at this!"
FJ: "The Hangman is riding to the ring on horse back, and look at the sneer upon his face!"
(The hate filled facial expression seems to encompass each and every fan as The Hangman casts his disgust outwards into
the masses. He continues to ride down to the ramp, then dismounting. We notice the long old western gang style trench coat,
as Hangman places the coat, the bible and chain over the turnbuckle and places his hat in the same direction.)
HS: "6 foot 9 inches... 325 pounds... Possibly the most destructive, twisted and sickening individual ever. The beast,
the machine, the HELLBRINGER IS BACK!"
FJ: "Duck Herb, he is looking our way!"
(The Hangman enters the ring and tilts his head off side to side before locking eyes with The Gambit. Both men come to
the center of the ring. The Hangman gets started before the bell even rings, as he throws a barrage of left hands, followed
by a huge right that sends The Gambit sprawling to the canvas, grabbing his face. The bell finally sounds as Hangman rains
down stomps to the neck of Andreas. The Hangman plays out to the fans as they respond with a resounding jeer that almost
shakes the building. This, however, seems to be to the pleasure of Hangman, as he smirks and lifts Andreas to his feet and
whips him into the turnbuckle. The Hangman charges forward delivering a clothesline in the corner that snaps Andreas' head
back and causes him to stumble forward. Hangman hits the opposite side of the ropes and attempts a clothesline from hell,
however Andreas ducks under and delivers a dropkick. He quickly springs up and dives forward with a chop block to the
front of Hangman's knee. Hangman goes down and Andreas quickly capitalizes again by locking in a headlock.)
HS: "Good strategy, keep The Hangman down and displace that power and size."
(Andreas releases the headlock and drops down with an elbow as Hangman tries to get up. Slowly Hangman gets up and as he
reaches his feet, Andreas stares him in the face and swings, landing a disrespectful slap that causes Hangman to tilt his
head, staring Lasiewiscz square in the eye.)
FJ: "Bad strategy!!! Trying to piss him off!"
(Hangman unleashes with an ungodly upper cut that lands square on The Gambit's chin, taking him off his feet immediately.
Hangman stalks forward and then mounts Andreas as he begins to pound away with closed fists. Andreas tries to cover up,
however Hangman just continues to bang through the cover-up and leans his shots into the skull of Andreas. The ref warns
Hangman, however Hangman doesn't stop. He continually punches away until the ref starts a count and gets all the way to
four before Hangman stops and breaks. Andreas rolls to his stomach as Hangman grabs two handfulls of hair and unmercifully
rubs The Gambits face into the canvas, again invoking a count from the ref. This time Hangman breaks after four and lifts
Andreas to his feet. He delivers a solid a bodyslam and follows with a legdrop.)
FJ: "The Hangman looks really good, Herb."
HS: "Well other than that disgusting burnt flesh."
(Hangman lifts Andreas up again and this time he whips him to the ropes and attempts to hoist him into the spinebuster,
but Andreas holds on for dear life, grabbing Hangman's head and countering with a DDT. Hangman hits the canvas hard and
Andreas seems to have gotten a second wind. He drags the behemoth to his feet and delivers a suplex, followed by a snap mare.
Immediately he goes into the dragon sleeper. After about 30 seconds he stands and steps under Hangman's arm and delivers a
front face DDT. Hangman hits the canvas hard again and Andreas takes to the air now. He climbs the turnbuckle and looks
upon the downed Hangman. The Gambit leaps from the top rope, delivering an elbow drop onto Hangman. He hooks the leg.)
HS: "He could have him, Frank!"
(The ref counts 1..... 2..... kickout. Andreas shakes his head in anger that Hangman kicked out, however he is right
back on the attack. This time he lifts Hangman and then goes to the knees again, delivering a stiff dropkick that takes
Hangman's one leg out from under him. The Gambit then delivers a hard European upper cut that staggers Hangman. Andreas
ducks behind a wild left hand and attempts a German suplex, however Hangman buries four to five elbows into his skull and
then whips him to the ropes. As Andreas rebounds, Hangman attempts a big boot, however Andreas quickly grabs his leg and
then turns and drops to the canvas, delivering a dragonscrew legwhip that looks as if it dislocated Hangman's knee. The
Hangman releases a somewhat disturbing roar of pain and The Gambit immediately jumps on top of him again, twisting his leg
around and delivering a figure four leglock. The Hangman grasps at his knee and twinges with pain, as we get an odd and
eerie sight of the Hangman's face through the eye holes of his mask.)
HS: "Andreas may be able to defeat the Hangman tonight."
FJ: "Herb, The Hangman is a bonafide freak, look at him. I think he likes the pain!"
(The ref continually asks The Hangman if he would like to submit, but The Hangman declines and then slowly drags himself
over to the ropes, grabbing onto the second rope. Andreas releases the hold. As The Hangman tries to regain his legs, Andreas
continually kicks away at the back of The Hangman's leg. Andreas then bounces off the ropes and attempts a bulldog, however
The Hangman spins around quickly and almost decapitates Andreas. Hangman limps towards where Andreas' body finally landed
after the devastating clothesline. He drops an elbow and then picks him up into a suplex position before walking forward
and holding him up there for a great deal of time.)
FJ: "Look at the power from the Hangman."
HS: "This looks to be a hanging brainbuster."
(Herb is correct as Lasiewiscz lands square on his head and Hangman floats over for a cover now.)
HS: "There is a cover. 1..... 2..... close call there for Andreas!"
(The Hangman looks downwards at Andreas and then grabs a handful of Andreas' frizzy, long hair. He drags him to his feet
and places his head between his legs. Hangman hoists him up into a power bomb and drives him down.)
FJ: "A devastating power bomb."
HS: "He isn't finished!"
(Hangman holds onto the much smaller Andreas and lifts him up again and again, driving him down in three more successive
power bombs before relinquishing him. Lasiewiscz lays on the canvas motionless as Hangman lets out a sadistic smirk. The
Hangman then drops to the canvas, driving his one hand into the throat of The Gambit and then he places his thumb directly
into Andreas' eye, driving down with the choke and gouging away at the eye of Andreas. Andreas screams to the best of his
ability while kicking his legs, as the ref tries to sperate him from The Hangman.)
HS: "What a sadistic fiend this man is."
(Hangman again releases Andreas and takes a walk around the ring as Andreas gets up. Hangman then stalks forward and
lifts Andreas into a press slam. he walks towards the ropes and looks outwards towards the floor.)
HS: "NO! you cant do that!"
(Just as the Hangman tries to release Andreas towards the floor, Andreas slides out over The Hangman's back. He steps
backwards as he lands on his feet. He then delivers a superkick to The Hangman's face that produces a sound that resonates
throughout the arena. Hangman falls backwards into the ropes and then topples through the middle rope and out onto the floor.)
FJ: "THE PEACEMAKER!"
HS: "But The Hangman fell through the ropes to the floor."
(Andreas collects his breath and then charges as The Hangman gets up. Andreas leaps over the top rope with a suicide
dive that knocks The Hangman to the floor and leaves Andreas laying on top of him. The ref has begun to count and gets to
seven before Andreas gets up and breaks the count. The Hangman also gets up and now both men trade punches on the outside
before getting back into to the ring. The Hangman begins to get an advantage, however Andreas then drops to his knees and
delivers a low blow. The Hangman hits the canvas as the ref warns The Gambit of the cheap shot. The Gambit seems in control
as he wearily puts the Hangman into the corner. He chops away at Hangman's chest as the referee warns him to get Hangman out
of the corner. As Andreas and the referre engage in a discussion, Hangman reaches into his trench coat's pocket and takes out
his bottle of Jack Daniels. He takes a swig out of it, but obviously doesn't swallow it. He reaches into his coat again and
pulls out something smaller we can't make out. Suddenly, he turns around and catches Andreas' attempt at yet another Peacemaker.
Hangman then charges Lasiewicz with a clothesline, but Lasiewicz ducks and Hangman hits the referee instead.)
HS: "Oh no, the referee is down."
FJ: "Holy shit!"
(As Andreas turns towards Hangman again, he is met by a huge blaze of fire! We can see Hangman wiping the rest of the JD
from his mouth as he puts a firelighter back into his tights.)
FJ: "The good old Greco-Roman fireball!"
HS: "And lasiewicz is holding his face and screaming in pain!"
(As Lasiewicz rolls around the mat, Hangman locks a meaty paw into the face of The Gambit and then pulls him up to his feet.)
HS: "The claw! Could this be it?"
FJ: "It seems all but obvious."
(Andreas goes for a ride straight up and then straight down as The Hangman drives him down with the Southern Comfort
Slam. Hangman holds onto the claw as Andreas squirms slightly. The referee regains consciousness just in time to see Andreas
tapping out under the weight of The Hangman's vicious claw.)
HS: "The Hangman is the winner, but ladies and gentlemen, Andreas Lasiewicz is in bad shap- what the?"
(Herb doesn't get to finish his sentence as The Hangman comes over and runs Herb and Frank off. He then procedes to douse
the announce table with the rest of the JD. Nodding, The Hangman then puts the lighter to the table and sets it on fire! The
fans in the front row try to get away from the heat, as Hangman gets back into the ring. He pulls Lasiewicz up and puts him
onto the top turnbuckle. Hangman then steps out onto the apron, applies the claw on The Gambit's already burned face again
and jumps off, hitting the Southern Comfort Slam through the burning table!!! The crowd erupts in a loud "Holy shit!"-chant as
officials and EMTs come down to ringside. They immediately use several fire extinguishers to put out the fire and then remove
the screaming Lasiewicz from what used to be an announce table. Meanwhile, The Hangman has returned to the ring. He looks
upwards as "Sleep Now In The Fire" begins to play. Suddenly, a long rope is lowered from the rafters and Hangman puts it
around his neck, before being hoisted upward and out of sight. As Herb and Frank look on, Lasiewiscz is put onto a stretcher
and we cut to a video advertising the "Hangman's Hottest Hits" DVD coming out soon. We return to Herb and Frank, who by now have gotten a new table.)
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, what a night this has been. We have several title changes. Brian Williams, The Hangman, Nightmist, Dave Santini and Ray Owens have been announced as the AWA Hall Of Fame Class Of 2005. Also, let's not forget Andreas Lasiewicz, well, lighting the AWA up."
FJ: "That was sick... from you?!?!"
(The camera cuts backstage into the locker room of Low. The newly bald Low is looking at himself in the mirror, but after a few moments, he turns his head and looks into the camera.)
LOW: "Say hallo to my little friend..."
(Low picks a relatively large green bag up from the ground and then leaves the locker room. We cut to a highlight video package. Many of the scenes we already saw at Vortex last month are shown again. We also see Low dominating Williams at Vortex, but Williams hitting the Blinded Fate and then scoring the pinfall to win his third AWA World title. We cut to Low pretending to be calm afterwards but finally going nuts and attacking a number of wrestlers, before finally attacking and bloodying Williams with a steel chair. Yet no matter how hard Low hits, Williams asks for more. We then cut to Williams meeting with Black Dragon and Low meeting with Michael Stevens, before ending the video with scenes of Low shaving his head bald.)
FJ: "I wonder what is in that bag."
HS: "Whatever it is, Frank, it can't be good news for Brian Williams. Fans, this is The Final Encounter, this match will decide who will be considered the victor of this feud. But in reality, there can be no winner."
FJ: "This is a Hell In A Cell Match, and both men have had extensive success in matches including any type of steel cage. Low started the Low Era beating Drake Hyde to become the King of the Kage 2001 in this very cell. He won his sixth World title pinning Williams in January in the Hell Bowl Chamber. Brian Williams won his first two World titles inside the Cell, beating Zeal and Nightmist. After all the matches they had, this promises to be the most violent one."
("Tilt" by Scott Walker begins to play and the crowd erupts into loud boos as Low makes his way down the ramp, carrying the green bag over his shoulder. Low makes his way straight down the ramp before sliding into the ring.)
HS: "He's looking weird without his orange mane. This has been his trademark ever since he joined the AWA and now he is bald!"
FJ: "This is symbolic, Herb, Low definitely is ready to make the biggest sacrifices of his career."
(The boos turn into cheers as "The Call Of Ktulu" by Mettalica begins to play. Blue light and smoke dip the stage and the ramp into an ominous haze. The cheers grow even louder as Brian Williams comes walking out from the haze, the AWA World title belt placed over his shoulder.)
HS: "Whatever happened here earlier on, Brian Williams truly is a changed man."
FJ: "No man in the history of this company has dominated Low the way he has. No man has ever brought Low so dangerously close to the edge as Williams had. Tonight he has the chance to accomplish his mission – either make Low a changed man or write the final chapter of The Book Of Low."
(Williams steps onto the apron and the climbs over the rope and into the ring. He hands the belt to the referee and then stares at Low. As the two men stare at each other across the ring, the atmosphere is at a fever pitch. The arena lights dim and a low, ominous music starts playing as the cell is being lowered.)
FJ: "We are only seconds away from The Final Encounter. Williams. Low. The World title. Springs And Breaks. Right now!"
HS: "Oh look, they forgot to take the bag away from Low!"
FJ: "But now it is too late."
(As the cell reaches the ground, the referee calls for the bell. He then realizes the bag is still in the ring and quickly grabs it to throw it out of the ring. Low yells at the referee, but Williams immediately storms towards Low and nails him with a big boot, sending him into the corner where he just starts pummeling Low. The referee steps in, but Williams pushes him away.)
FJ: "Come on, ref, this is Hell In A Cell, you should just count the fall."
(Low uses the momentary distraction and hits Williams with a series of knife edge chops, all of them accompanied by the crowds "Woooooo!" Williams regains the advantage with a knee to Low's guts. He then Irish whips him into the ropes, catches him and presses him high above his head. Low, however, counters with an eye rake and drops to his knees behind Williams. He sends his arm up between Williams' legs, hitting a vicious low blow that sends Williams to his knees.)
HS: "Now that was low for sure."
FJ: "Unlike Williams' voice, which should be pretty high right now."
(As Williams gets back to his feet and turns around towards Low, Low connects with a kick to Williams' gut and hits the Low Stunner!)
FJ: "Low Stunner a minute into the match!"
HS: "But he doesn't cover!"
(The fans boo loudly as Low rolls out of the ring. He grabs the green bag and puts it back into the ring before sliding back himself. Williams is very slowly making his way back up while Low unties the bag. He reaches into it and removes...)
HS: "A BEER BOTTLE!?!?"
FJ: "This is sick! I love it!"
(Low waits for Williams to turn around. As he does, Low tries to smash the glass bottle over Williams' head, but Williams is able to grab both of Low's arms and hold on to them. Low is still trying to smash the bottle down on Williams' head, but Williams kicks him into the stomach and then pulls the bottle out of his hands. Williams takes a wild swing and then nails Low right across the head, shattering the bottle into a million of pieces.)
HS: "Oh my god!"
FJ: "Look at Low's bald head being ripped apart! Look at the blood gushing out of Low's head!"
HS: "Williams doesn't even cover him!"
FJ: "Because for Williams, this is not just about winning."
(Williams walks over to Low's bag and reaches into it. He pulls out a long steel chain and holds it into the air to the cheers of the fans. He walks over to Low and wraps the chain around Low's bleeding forehead, but Low is able to spin around and hit Williams with his fist. Surprisingly, Williams drops down to the mat like a bag of cement.)
FJ: "The power of the punch! Haha!"
HS: "Look at Low's right hand. He has pulled a pair of brass knuckles out of his tights. And now he's mounted Williams and punches away at him... with the knuckles!"
(Using the knuckles, Low is now busting Williams wide open.)
HS: "Just a few minutes into this match and both men are wearing the crimson mask. This has nothing to do with wrestling, Frank."
FJ: "Don't hold your breath waiting for some actual wrestling, Herb."
(Low finally puts brass knuckles back into his tights and gets off of the bleeding Williams. He grabs the steel chain and then wraps it around Williams' throat. He then starts running, pulling the chain tight. Williams coughs as Low basically forces him to follow him on all fours.)
FJ: "Look, he looks like a big fat dog. I love it."
HS: "Low is treating Williams like an animal and Williams is close to being choked out."
FJ: "If that's how you treat an animal, Herb, I should really call the guys from Greenpeace."
(Low pulls Williams closer and then finally pulls him up to his feet, still holding on to the chain. He starts running towards the ropes and hurls Williams over the top rope, literally hanging him!)
HS: "The referee needs to step in and save Williams' life!"
FJ: "Come on, Herb, loosen up, this is Hell In A Cell."
(Low finally lets loose of the chain and Williams drops to the ground. Low climbs out of the ring and immediately grabs the chain again. He pulls the chain through links of the cell and then starts pulling it, repeatedly ramming Williams against the cage wall. Williams, however, is able to grab Low by the throat using both his hands and starts choking him. After a few moments, Low drops to his knees and drops down the chain. Williams pulls Low up by his throat, spins around and smashes Low back first against the wall of the cell. He rams him against the wall again and again and then holds him there for several seconds. As Williams drops Low to the ground, Low is grasping for air.)
FJ: "The referee really should have stepped in there! This was a blatant choke right in front of his eyes."
HS: "Oh man..."
(Williams finally unwraps the chain from his throat. He wraps a part of it around his fist and hits Low with it just as he is about to get up. Williams pulls Low up and then smashes him head first into the cage before wrapping the chain around Low's throat. He then wraps the chain through some of the chain links and ties it up, practically tying Low to the cage. He then walks to the other side of the ring and pulls up the apron, looking under the ring.)
FJ: "What is that monster looking for?"
HS: "I don't... ahhhhhh!"
(Williams pulls out one of the ladders used earlier in the US title match. He puts it onto his shoulder and then slowly walks over to Low. Low, in a panic, tries to unwrap the chain around his throat, but Williams comes running at him and rams his head with the ladder, almost knocking Low out. Williams then slides the ladder into the ring and follows back in. He picks the ladder up and presses it above his head. Taking a few steps forward, he throws the ladder out of the ring and right onto Low's chest and head.)
HS: "I think Low just got knocked out. Look at how he is hanging there."
FJ: "They should untie him before his face turns blue!"
(Williams leaves the ring again and finally unwraps Low before rolling him back into the ring. Williams picks up the ladder and places it across the second rope. As Low gets back to his feet, Williams pushes one side of the ladder down, causing the other to quickly go up and hit Low right into the face. Low is screaming in pain and holding his face, but Williams is already back in the ring. He puts the ladder onto his shoulder again and tries to ram Low's head again, but Low drops Williams with a drop toe hold, causing Williams to falls face first onto the ladder. Low opens the ladder up and then places Williams' head into it before slamming one side down, smashing Williams head between the two sides. Williams is rolling around the ring, holding his face. Low procedes to mount the ladder and then climbs to the top of it. Not wasting any time, he comes flying off the ladder, hitting Williams with a flying legdrop.)
HS: "A rare aerial maneuver from Low."
FJ: "But when he does them, he usually hits with full force."
(Low folds the ladder again and waits for Williams to get back up. As he does, Low throws the ladder at Williams, but Williams ducks and the ladder lands outside the ring, but not without crashing against the cell's wall. Williams grabs Low by the throat, lifts him up and hits a choke slam, but he immediately collapses himself.)
HS: "Both men are down and out, having lost quite an amount of blood."
(Williams rolls out of the ring and reaches underneath the ring near where he pulled out the ladder.)
FJ: "What's he looking for now?"
HS: "A table!"
(And indeed Williams pulls out a table from underneath. He slides it into the ring and puts it up, as Low slowly gets up to his feet. As he turns around, Williams picks him up, gorilla presses him above his head and then slams him right through the table! The crowd erupts in a "Holy shit!"-chant.)
HS: "The table has been broken in half, and so has Low!"
FJ: "He crashed through that table from about eight feet above the ground."
(We can see Low reaching into his tights again as Williams walks over to him, trying to pull him up. Low, though, holds on to Williams' legs, prohibiting him to pull him up. Suddenly, however, Low jumps back several feet and we see Williams' left pant leg on fire!)
HS: "OH MY GOD! Brian Williams is burning!"
FJ: "Somebody do something!"
(Williams is in a panic, trying to beat down the flames on his leg. The referee reacts quickly as he runs over to Low's bag and pours out the remaining contents, a mix of several weapons. He yells at Williams to lay down, which he does, and then uses the large bag to beat down the flames.)
HS: "This is getting way out of hand here! This match needs to be stopped!"
FJ: "Low said he would do anything! Low said he would not let this end without the fight of Williams' life!"
(The referee succeeds in extinguishing the fire. As the camera zooms in we can see that not too much damage has been done to Williams' leg, yet his pant leg is considerably shorter now – and still smoking. Williams has no time to rest, however, as Low comes up from behind and wraps his left arm around Williams' throat. With his right hand he presses a pocket knife to Williams' throat!)
HS: "Gimme a break! Somebody stop this!"
FJ: "Low is so smart! He is yelling at Williams to give up! Best submission hold EVER!"
(Low keeps on yelling at Williams, but he does not realize Williams reaching for the golden chain that Michael Stevens gave Low when they met in that coffee shop a few days ago. Williams simply swings the chain backwards and whips it right into Low's face. Low immediately drops the knife and releases Williams as he is screaming in pain. The referee quickly grabs the knife, leaves the ring and hands it to the timekeeper though the cage wall. As the camera focuses on Low's face, we see a large gash underneath his left eye, blood pouring out of it.)
HS: "Williams must have hit Low's face at the right spot. I didn't think Low's face could get any bloodier, but it just has."
(Williams has left the ring and looks underneath the ring again. This time he pulls out a steel chair and then returns to the ring. Low is holding on the top rope with one hand, while holding the gash in his face with the other. As he finally gets up to his feet, Williams runs at him, takes a wild swing and nails him with the chair right across the head.)
FJ: "What a thud!"
HS: "And Williams has wrapped the chair right around Low's neck. Low doesn't even drop down, he seems to be knocked out on his feet."
(Williams pulls the chair off of Low and drops it to the outside. As he approaches Low, though, he is hit with the Michael Stevens chain, which Low apparently took while Williams was looking for the chair. Williams is down on his knees as Low goes for another right hand with the chain, but this time Williams connects with a low blow. As Low holds his groin and drops the chain, Williams picks up three pieces of glass from the bottle shattered earlier and puts them between his fingers. He then takes another wild swing and nails Low right across the forehead.)
FJ: "This is one of the most sadistic displays I have ever seen from either man."
(Williams now picks Low up as if to his a spinebuster, but instead he puts him up on the top turnbuckle. Williams follows onto the second turnbuckle and starts pummeling Low with a series of rights to the head. Williams then follows up to the top rope, apparently going for a top rope superplex. Williams hooks Low's head, but suddenly we hear something snap and both men fall down, Williams into the ring and Low to the outside, as the top rope has snapped! The fans start a "Holy shit!"-chant again.)
HS: "Oh my god! The top rope snapped, the ring is no longer intact! Williams hit his head dropping to the mat, and I have no idea if Low is still alive."
(Low moves and is holding his left leg, while Williams is holding his head. Williams, however, is able to crawl over to the now two ropes and crawls out of the ring to where Low is lying. He is trying to pull Low up, but Low is able to pull Williams' legs out from under him, dropping him onto his back. Low holds on to Williams' legs, however, and then sends him into the cage wall using a slingshot catapult.)
HS: "350 pounds just crashed into the side of the cage, I hope the wall won't be busted open."
(Low now grabs Williams by the hair and presses his face into the steel mesh of the cell. He rakes his face along the whole length of the cell, leaving a trace of blood on the stainless steel. Suddenly, though, Williams picks up Low and hits an inverted atomic drop. Not wasting any time, Williams holds Low in that position and then rams him against the steel pillar in the corner of the cell, once, twice, three times, four times, five times, before finally dropping him down to the ground.)
FJ: "The cell even shifted a few inches!"
HS: "And Low's back may very well be broken. This really has very little to do with wrestling, this isn't just about winning, there has only been one attempt at ending this match and that was Low threatening Williams with a knife."
(Williams has picked Low up and now puts his head between his legs. He pulls him up into a power bomb position, takes a few steps back and rams Low into the cage again, this time against the cell door. And once again he doesn't ram him into the cell once, but twice, and then for a third time, before dropping him face first into the ring over the second rope, which is now the top rope.)
HS: "This is complete carnage. The ring is full of blood and weapons and the top rope has broken. I wonder what's next."
(Williams follows Low back into the ring. He grabs him by the neck and tights and walks him into the middle of the ring. Williams starts running and then hurls Low over the second rope and against the door of the cell.)
FJ: "If they continue this they may break the door of the cell."
HS: "Maybe that's Williams' goal."
FJ: "But why?"
HS: "More carnage."
(As Low uses the steel mesh to pull himself back up, Williams starts running. He jumps off and over the second rope, going for a suicide dive, but Low gets out of the way at the last split second and Williams flies against the cell.)
FJ: "He HAS broken the door open!"
(Indeed, the force of a flying 350-pound Williams was too much for the cell door's hinges and it is only dangling by the chain that was supposed to lock it. Williams has landed on the concrete floor and is holding his shoulder.)
HS: "It looks as if Williams is holding his shoulder. This could be the opening for Low and the Low Standard."
FJ: "If Low even plans on applying any wrestling holds."
(As the fans erupt in another "Holy shit!"-chant, Low slides back into the ring. He walks over to where the referee dumped the content of his bag earlier on as he was trying to extinguish the flames igniting Williams' leg. As the camera zooms in, we see Low picking up a piece of barbed wire, about two feet in length. He gets out of the ring and then the cell and comes up behind Williams, who is up on his knees, still holding his shoulder after the suicide dive. Low wraps the barbed wire around Williams' forehead and as the camera zooms in, we can see the barbs cutting into Williams' already bloody forehead, reopening the wounds from earlier on and opening new ones as well.)
HS: "Oh no, Low is going for Williams' eyes!"
(Indeed Low is pulling the barbed wire lower, but just before reaching Williams' eyebrows, Williams holds on to the barbed wire with both his hands, trying to push it upwards.)
HS: "I can barely look at this. The barbs must be tearing into Williams' hands, all the while the two men are raking them up and down on Williams' forehead."
(More and more blood starts pouring down Williams' forehead, all the way down his chest. Williams is finally able to push the barbed wire off his forehead, but not without opening a few more cuts on his head.)
HS: "Look, some of Williams' hair has been pulled out thanks to the barbed wire."
(Williams connects with an elbow to Low's stomach, doubling him over. As Williams sees the blood streaming down his face and body, he seems to get into a blood rush. He turns around and stares at Low with an insane look in his eyes.)
FJ: "The man is nuts! He's smiling at Low!"
HS: "And Low doesn't seem to like it."
(Suddenly, Low simply throws the barbed wire at Williams' head, tangling it into his hair. Low takes off and starts climbing the cell as Williams tries to pull the barbed wire out of his hair. He finally succeeds and follows Low, who has almost reached the top of the cell. As Williams gets near the top, Low pulls the brass knuckles back out of his tights. He kneels down and waits for Williams to get to the top. As he finally does, Low tries to punch him with the knuckles, but Williams is able to catch Low's first while still holding on to the edge of the cell with his other hand. Using all his remaining strength, Williams finally joins Low at the top of the cell.)
HS: "Both men on the top of the cell, and we have seen in the past just what damage this can do, in the AWA and elsewhere."
FJ: "Exactly. Drake Hyde's career ended just minutes after he climbed the cell for the last time."
(Williams pulls Low towards himself and hits him with a short-arm clothesline which causes Low to drop the brass knuckles through the mesh and into the ring. Williams pulls Low up and gorilla presses him above his head. Holding him for several seconds, Williams walks on top of the cell and to the side where the announce table is.)
HS: "Don't do it!"
FJ: "Especially not onto our table."
(Low is able to struggle free and lands behind Williams. Low goes for the Low Standard, but Williams holds on and then hip tosses Low onto the roof. Williams pulls Low back up, wraps his arm around Low's head and applies Fate's Reprisal! The fans go ballistic.)
HS: "Fate's Reprisal! This could be it!"
FJ: "But no, look, the referee is shaking his head and yelling at something at Williams."
HS: "I think the decision has to be made inside the ring. Well, we're not in Connecticut, after all."
(Williams hears what the referee says but still holds on to Fate's Reprisal until Low seems to be unconscious. Williams drops Low to the cage roof, but then collapses himself as the fans cheer him on.)
HS: "Williams has suffered too much punishment, he has lost to much blood, he is too fatigued to follow up."
(Both men are getting back on their. Low, surprisingly, is the first man back up. He tries a kick to Williams' gut, but Williams holds on to the leg. Williams counters with a kick to Low's groin, grabs him by the throat, lifts him up and hits a choke slam onto the roof of the cell.)
FJ: "I'm afraid they may tear the roof of the cell apart at some point."
HS: "We've seen it happen before."
(Williams walks over to Low, who is close to the edge of the cell. Williams pulls Low up and grabs his right arm. He goes for yet another short-arm clothesline, but Low ducks and ends behind Williams. Using Williams' own momentum to his advantage, Low gives Williams just a slight push and Williams comes falling off the cell, crashing hard on the announce table!)
HS: "Oh shit..."
(The announcer are able to move out of the way in time just before Williams crashes onto the table. The fans erupt in yet another "Holy shit!"-chant. Low looks in with a slight gleam in his eyes.)
HS: "Frank? Frank, are you okay?"
FJ: "Yes, I am, but I don't think Williams is."
(The camera focuses on Williams lying in the middle of what used to be the announce table, not moving. Low is now making his way down the cage. As he reaches the ground, he lifts up Williams' arm, but Williams doesn't move. Low walks over to the timekeeper and grabs the remote control for the cell. Pressing one of the buttons, he lifts the cell up a few feet.)
HS: "What is he doing?"
FJ: "I have no idea."
(Low then walks back to Williams and uses all his remaining strength to pull him halfway up. Low pulls Williams towards the cell and then rolls him underneath it. Again using a lot of strength, he manages to get Williams back into the ring. The referee tells the timekeeper to lower the cell again, which he does.)
HS: "I think Low tries to end this match right now!"
(Low rolls Williams into the middle of the ring and covers. The referee counts 1..... 2..... NO! Williams kicks out at the last split second! The Charlotte fans erupt in loud cheers.)
FJ: "I can't believe it! This had to be the end!"
(Low himself is visibly frustrated and starts yelling at the referee. He rolls out of the ring and grabs the ladder and starts smashing it repeatedly against the cage wall.)
HS: "He is in a rage now, but he should be careful or otherwise this might cost him dearly."
(Low finally uses the ladder as a spear and throws it against the cage wall. He then briefly rests his head on the ring apron, obviously trying to regain control over himself. He slides back into the ring and walks towards the kneeling Williams, but suddenly, Williams gets to his feet and presses Low above his head once again. He starts running towards the ropes and then throws Low out of the ring and against the cage wall.)
HS: "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!"
(Low hits the wall with full force, the cage wall gives in and Low lands outside and on the ramp. The missing wall, however, causes the cell to collapse and bury Brian Williams and the referee underneath it! The entire Charlotte Coliseum is now on its feat and there is an uncomfortable noise going around it.)
FJ: "I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN ENTIRE CELL COLLAPSING!"
HS: "Williams threw Low right through the cell and onto the ramp, causing the entire cell to collapse! Williams and the referee are buried under close to one ton of steel!"
(A number of officials, referees and EMTs immediately make their way down the ramp. Two EMTs tend to Low, who seems to be conscious. The rest of the backstage personnel is doing their best to remove the collapsed cell from the ring, two of whose ring posts have been broken as well.)
HS: "The top rope broke, the cell collapsed, the ring has broken. This is the end, Frank, it's over."
FJ: "I hate to see this show ending like this, but I believe you're right, Herb, it'd be better to end it right here."
HS: "They might not have any choice but to end it now."
(The officials have finally been able to remove the rest of the cell enough to recover the referee and put him onto a stretcher. After a few more moments, they finally find Williams underneath the cell. Almost ten men have to push the large part of the cell aside to recover Williams. Suddenly, though, a number of officials fall to the ground as Low pushes them aside. He crawls over more cell pieces and then finally reaches Williams. He drapes one arm across Williams chest and groans at one of the other referees to make the count. One of the referees drop down and slaps his hand onto the remains of the cell, counting 1..... 2..... 3! Low regains the World title.)
FJ: "Yes! Yes! Yes!"
HS: "I can't believe it! He somehow had it within himself to crawl over there and pin Brian Williams! Ladies and gentlemen, Low is your seven-time World Heavyweight Champion!"
(The fans react with a mixture of stunned disbelief, boos for Low winning and cheers and applause for both men giving them their all. More EMTs come into the ring. In two separate joint efforts, Williams and Low are carried out of the carnage that used to be the ring and the cell. Both men are placed onto stretchers that have been placed side by side at the bottom of the ramp. We can see Low coughing up blood, while Williams seems to be conscious again. Low turns his head slightly to the right... and offers his hand to Williams! The fans give a loud standing ovation as Williams takes Low up on the offer and shakes his hand with his last ounce of strength.)
HS: "What a gesture, and these fans appreciate it! They may still hate each other, but there is no doubt that these men have the utmost respect for each other, even more so than ever before!"
(Just as the EMTs begin to roll Low's stretcher up the ramp, one of the referees puts the World title belt onto Low's blood-smeared chest. We then cut to Williams for the final time, whose eyes follow Low up the ramp with an insane gleam becoming obvious.)
FJ: "I don't think I can sleep after seeing this."
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, this has been one of the most violent displays I have ever witnessed in my lifetime. We will have several health updates on Xplosion, that's for sure. Make sure to tune in this Friday night to find out what is going to happen next."
(As we see the EMTs rolling the new World Champion Low through the curtain, the AWA logo appears and we fade to black.)
