AWA SHOCK & XPLOSION PRESENTS AWA CLASSIC 2004, LIVE FROM THE SKYDOME, TORONTO CANADA ON THE 12TH SEPTEMBER, 2004
(The shot opens up looking down at the impressive Skydome in Toronto, Canada. The night sky illuminated by the hive of activity that the American Wrestling Alliance brings to Toronto on this Sunday evening in September. The shot pans down towards the Main Entrance and fans that continue to pour into the arena. The shot fades out and is soon replaced by one inside the arena from the ramp way looking out at the Sold-Out crowd of screaming fans as the pyro’s are set off. The camera makes it’s way towards the ring, circling where all the action will take place tonight, before coming to rest on one of three Announcer’s Tables, the first one revealing the beaming faces of Herb Summers and Mark Keller)
HS: "Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman and welcome to Toronto, Canada. Welcome to AWA Classic 2004...and welcome to the SKYDOME!"
MK: "That’s right Herb. We’re finally here. We’ve been talking about this night for some weeks now and I for one am so exciting to be here in Toronto Canada for AWA Classic 2004. Tonight is going to be awesome!"
HS: "…and what a welcome by the sold-out crowd here tonight. This crowd is for sure as excited as me and you are, Mark and I couldn’t think of a better place to host AWA Classic 2004 than right here at the Skydome"
MK: "I completely agree, Herb and did you know that if you were to line-up all the hot dogs served at the SkyDome in one year, the hot dogs would cover the distance of 3,241 stolen bases and not only that but did you know that there are a total of 88 washrooms throughout the SkyDome including 43 Women's, 39 Men's and 6 "Family Service" facilities, for a total of 1280 toilets. In fact, women's toilets in washrooms outnumber men's by 4 to 1 - that's more than any other stadium in North America!"
HS(Sarsactically): "Really, how interesting!"
MK: "…and not only that, but the entire SkyDome development is 12.7 acres and the volume inside is 56.5 million cubic feet, not to mention that fact that the SkyDome's Hard Rock Café is the home of the largest electric guitar in North America."
HS: "Where on earth do you get all this information from?"
MK: "It’s right here, Herb…look!"
HS: "Don’t you have anything better to do with your time?"
MK: "Of course I do, Herb…but this is the Skydome. We’re in Toronto, Canada and this is AWA CLASSIC! I can hardly contain my excitement"
HS: "Ummmm, ok. Anyway, you’re right about one thing, this is AWA Classic. The biggest Pay-Per-View of the AWA Calendar and we’re proud to be co-hosting this event with our comrades from AWA Xplosion, but I can tell you we have one hell of a line up of Shock matches right here tonight!"
MK: "Too right Herb. We will be presenting four matches tonight, with four Title belts being defended. The AWA Television Title, United States Title, Tag Team Titles and the AWA Shock World Title will all be put on the line here tonight and I can tell you one thing, there will be nowhere too hide for any of the Shock Superstars tonight. It will be non-stop action and the best live wrestling you will see anywhere on the planet. What will be starting it off, Herb?"
HS: "Well Mark, we will start by finally ending the ongoing feud that’s been brewing between Cynder and Hellraisin’ Holly and Bronco T and Hollywood Blue over the past many months. Last week’s match ended up in a four man brawl between these four competitors and that brawl will continue here tonight inside a steel cage, but not just any steel cage. This 18ft high steel cage will be housing four Superstars, a 15ft steel ladder and the two suspended AWA Tag Team Title belts. The first team to reach both the Title Belts will be declared the AWA Tag Team Champions IN AN ULTIMATE FINALE MATCH!"
MK: "…and that will be followed by the Four-man Elimination-style match for the AWA Television Title. Three of these four men have all held the Television Title in the past six weeks, but tonight, one-by-one each man will be eliminated by pinfall, submission or count-out…and the man left standing will be crowned the AWA Television Champion!"
HS: "…and if that match won’t showcase the talents that exist on AWA Shock, then the "Best of Three Falls" match between Evan Spire and Bryan Peek will do just that. Both these two "crowd favourites" will be intent on proving to the entire American Wrestling Alliance that they are the most technically gifted individuals on either brand and what better match to prove that point that in a "Three Falls Match" for the AWA United States Title!"
MK: "…and all that excitement is even before we get to AWA Shock’s Main Event for AWA Classic, The Three Stages of Hell Match for the AWA Shock World Title and trust me Herb, if we are going to see pure wrestling in the Television and United States Title match, the World Title match will be a case of who can spill the most blood and I can’t think of two men that are more dangerous in a situation like this that former AWA World Champion and probably the most destructive man of 2004, Brian Williams and the current AWA World Champion, Nightmist! The first stage, a Cage Match, the second a TLC Cage Match and the third a full-blown Hardcore-Rules Blood-fest with the only way a winner can be crowned the AWA World Champion if the match goes to the third stage is by crawling out of the third cage and who knows what condition both men will be in if the match goes that far…"
HS: "A night full of excitement and drama awaits and that’s just for the Shock side, but I have one concern of the whole night"
MK: "…and that is?"
HS: "Have you forgotten already, Mark? In the last edition of AWA Shock before tonight, General Manager George Slater was brutally ambushed and assaulted and if rumours are to be true, Slater is still only semi-conscious with multiple injuries and isn’t even in Canada, let alone here at the Skydome in Toronto. I’m sure I’m not alone in wishing Mr.Slater my very best wishes and a speedy recover, but as to what this will mean for AWA Shock here tonight and for the immediate future, I guess all will be revealed as the night wears on. Anyway, let’s pass over to our comrades on AWA Xplosion…"
FJ: "Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen. I am Frank Jackson and here beside me as always is Larry."
LP: "Yes Frank tonight all the talk ends. Tonight Dark Warrior Jeff Christiansen Challenges John Williams for the AWA World title. Not to mention Snake Taking on Fish for the IC Title in a ladder match."
FJ: "Or how about this Final Encounter as i am hearing so much about? So far all we know is it will take place somewhere unknown and cannot leave that area. We know GM Goldstien is removed from the arena for this match and we know nothing of the contents of this room may be altered."
LP: "Don’t forget, Tonight we find out the final stipulation for the Final Encounter from Fury himself Frank."
FJ: "And what about The Hardcore match? Up-and-comer Collin Baird takes on Blackjack for the Hardcore title. And our two number one contender match-ups."
LP: "Lets kick it back to our Shock counterparts for our first match of the evening!"
HS: "Ladies and gentlemen, our first match-up of the night features two Tag Teams that have had an ongoing feud for months! Tonight, in this very arena, that rivalry between both teams comes to and end!"
MK: "About time the NPD showed Hell’s Hazards why they are called Never Punking Down!"
HS: "Ugh! Fans, this is an Ultimate Finale Match and the prestigious AWA Tag Team Titles are on the line. In just counted seconds, an eighteen-feet high cage will be lowered to floor, covering the ring but leaving 3 feet of space on all four sides at ring side."
MK: (Sarcastically) "So Herb, tell us… uh… how does the match work if the referee can’t get inside the cage to make the count and call the NPD the new… oh, sorry… and call the match?"
HS: "Mark, both halves of the Tag Team Titles will be suspended high up inside the cage and the only way to get to them and win is by using a fifteen-feet tall ladder which will be left in the ring even before the cage lowers and the match starts."
(Just then, the scene switches to the cage being suspended over the ring as pyro and fireworks go off on all four corners of it. Thousands of flashlights go off around the crowd as the image quickly switches to the suspended Tag Team Titles over the ring, shining proudly. The name of the current Tag Team Champions is not seen on them anymore; the fifteen foot ladder is lying on the ring, waiting to be used.)
HS: "Fans, we are ready to kick off with one of the most anticipated matches of the evening… the Tag Team Championship, Ultimate Finale Match!"
(His voice quickly fades to a sea of boos and jeers as ‘’Money ain’t a thing’’ by Jermain Drupi starts blasting over the P.A. System. Then, without wasting any time at all, Bronco T. and Hollywood Blue make their way from the back through the curtains. They look into the crowd with a cocky smile on their face as they walk down the ramp. Bronco T. and Hollywood Blue stand right in the middle of the ramp and look up towards the huge cage before letting out a smile that the crowd, of course, doesn’t approve.)
MK: "These are my candidates… in fact, I never agreed when they lost the Tag Team Titles to Barely Legal last year."
HS: "Yeah? And why haven’t they won it since then? It’s been over a year since they NPD held the Tag Team Titles."
MK: "Simply because they are always cheated out of them and that, my old friend, it isn’t fair."
HS: "Talk about fair, Mark… pfft!"
(Bronco T. climbs on the ring apron and enters the ring between the top and middle ropes while Hollywood Blue walks around the ring, doing some ‘inspection’ to it. ‘’Money ain’t a thing’’ fades off only to start playing again to an obvious disgust from the crowd in a attendance. Hollywood shows a notorious smile as he gets in the ring sliding under the bottom rope. Bronco T. and Hollywood, after wasting all that time, climbs opposite turnbuckles and salute the crowd only to receive jeers and insults from the Canadians. Just before they were about to waist even more time, ‘’Money ain’t a thing’’ is abruptly cut and the sound system goes silent for a few seconds. The crowd cheers in anticipation.)
HS: "Oh boy! Here we go!"
"Here's the weight of the world on my shoulders"
(Shinedown's "Fly From the Inside" begins playing over the PA as a vision of "The Hellraiser" Steve Holly with the Earth on his back is played on the screen. As the fourth entrance riff to the song is played, Holly flexes his muscles and the Earth bursts into flames and in those flames is the quote "Welcome to My World" as pyro erupt around the stage. Holly walks out through the explosions being followed very closely by the other half of Hell’s Hazards, Cynder. The crowd gets on its feet a great deal and starts cheering incredibly.)
HS: "Listen to this capacity crowd, Mark! I can barely hear myself speak!"
MK: "All for nothing! NPD will still win this match and become two-time Tag Team Champions!!"
HS: "I’m… I’m sorry. I didn’t hear what you said. What was that?"
MK: "I said—"
HS: "What??"
(Hellraisin’ Holly and Cynder walk from the back without wasting time and start walking down the ramp pretty quickly, yelling things at both NPD members who are inside the ring ‘taunting’ Hell’s Hazards to get in the ring and ‘show them what they got’. Neither Cynder nor Holly had finished getting in the ring when the cage started lowering down. ‘’Right Now’’ fades off and the actions takes place immediately as the referee at ring side signals for the bell to give an official start to the match. The crowd cheers loudly as Holly goes off with Hollywood and Cynder with Bronco T.)
HS: "And they are at it! The Tag Team Champions got tired of seeing the NPD clown around the ring wasting time, lowering the Champions’ momentum."
MK: "What momentum are you--- look, the cage is almost down and both team broke up any fight they had going on."
(As the cage is just feet from the ground, all four men inside the ring look at it in awe as they just seem to realize how big the cage is and that they will actually be in it without any exit at all. The crowd cheers loudly as the cage finally is completely lowered to the ground and both teams look up towards the Tag Team Titles hanging high over their heads. Steve Holly seems to feel small compared to that height as he raises his arm in vane, trying to reach the titles just like that.)
MK: "HA! How stupid can he be? The bigger the stupider!"
(Then, as Holly and Cynder trade words, talking about a strategy, both Bronco T. and Blue charge at the current Tag Team Champions, though, making the sneak attack a little too obvious. Hollywood Blue manages to land and elbow on Holy but Cynder reacted just in time when Bronco was just inches from him, sidestepped him and short-arm clotheslined him to the mat. Cynder doesn’t waist any time and starts stomping on Bronco as Blue and Holly start trading punches, eventually, Blue, due to the just early sneak attack, takes the advantage over the almost eight-footer. Blue springs Holly against the closest ropes but just when is about to send him running, Holly puts his right foot in front of him on the mat to brake the sprint. Blue punches Holly again and gives it a second try but Holly does the same thing once again. Blue, out of desperation, kicks Holly on his right knee, making Holly let out a soft grunt. Blue runs to the opposite ropes himself before charging back at Holly. Holly raises his huge right hand as the crowd cheers loudly knowing what is coming next.)
MK: "No! Not the choke slam! NO!"
(Just as Holly drops down his hand to take a grip of Blue’s neck, Blue sidesteps him and hits Steve with a flying forearm right on his head. Holly staggers to one side, holding his head, but doesn’t drop. Blue doesn’t seem to want to waist any time and springs to the ropes once again, this time, connecting a successful running clothesline on the big man, taking him down before stomping on him.)
MK: "Genius! Just perfect! Only a true Hollywood star can do something like that!"
HS: "The match isn’t over yet, Mark. In fact, it has just started."
(Meanwhile, unaware of anything else happening besides his own ‘battle’, Cynder keeps stomping on Bronco before Bronco rolls outside the ring before quickly pulling Cynder down with him. Just as Cynder gets on his feet at ringside, Bronco throws him a right punch. Cynder sidesteps it and throws a right of his own, being blocked by Bronco. Then, with incredible back and forth speed, Cynder and Bronco T. stat trading punches to the approval from the crowd. Finally, Cynder gets the upper hand and fires away on Bronco with rights and left taking him backward step by step until Bronco’s back is right against the wall of the cage.)
HS: "Cynder gets the upper hand while Hollywood is working on a falling Holly."
MK: "Yeah, you could say these guys are evening the odds on one another but I am sure this will soon change."
(And change it will. Cynder, finished hammering on Bronco against the wall of the cage, steps back a little bit and charges at Bronco with a right forearm slamming Bronco against the wall and making him drop on the concrete floor. Cynder, without wasting time, quickly slides in the ring to help his partner but Blue was already expecting him; he stops stomping on Holly and doesn’t even wait for Cynder to get on his feet. Blue starts stomping on Cynder again and again until tiredness. Bronco is up on his feet by then and slowly gets in the ring before looking for the fifteen foot ladder lying on the mat. Bronco picks up the ladder and sets it up in the middle of the ring as Hollywood encourages him to get both belts, but losing his attention on Steve Holly)
HS: "Bad move there by Hollywood blue. Their arrogance has him thinking they have this match won."
MK: "What are you talking about? Blue knows just what he is---"
(Before Mark can finish his sentence, Holly grabs Blue from behind and drops him with a vicious forearm to the chest before checking on his partner.)
HS: "Seems like the "Hellraiser" is planning something in his head. He’s letting Bronco climbs the ladder like nothing in the world was going on."
(Then, when he decided that Bronco was already too high up the ladder, Holly runs towards it and hits it with his right shoulder, staggering the ladder to the right, dropping Bronco right on top of the ropes before dropping on a nasty way on his ribs on the mat. Holly notices the ladder on the mat once again and slowly walks towards Bronco. Holly pulls Bronco up by the hair and raises his humongous right arm into the air as the crowd cheer in excitement. Holly finally drops his hand and wraps it around Bronco’s neck as Bronco opens his eyes wide as well as his mouth. He knows what’s coming but just as Holly starts lifting Bronco for the chokeslam, Blue comes out of nowhere with the ladder and smashes it hard on Holly’s back, making Holly drop Bronco instantly and get on one knee, holding his back with his left arm. Just before Hollywood does the same thing for the second time, Cynder kicks the ladder off of Blue’s hands. Blue turns around in rage before Cynder kicks him in the stomach before applying an Arn Anderson type DDT leaving Blue lying flat on the mat.)
HS: "Great DDT by Cynder on Hollywood Blue! At this pace, I can’t really tell who the winners will be."
MK: "I can."
HS: "Yeah, I bet you can."
(Bronco is still on his knee trying to catch his breath as Cynder picks up the ladder and sets it up inside the ring, close to one of the set of ropes. Then, as if on cue, Steve Holly puts Bronco’s head between his legs, pulls him up and drops him down with a powerful Spinning Out Powerbomb! Bronco lays flat on the mat, face up and arms spread open as Cynder quickly climbs the ladder looking down at Bronco at all times.)
HS: "Uh-oh. Hat is e going to do now? Whatever it is, it’s nothing pretty."
MK: "Yeah. What is he thinking? Attacking a rich man like Bronco T. like that?"
HS: "Cynder is signalling the crowd about something and whatever it is, they like it."
(Just before Cynder jumps off, Hollywood Blue regains enough energy to get up from the mat, get on his knees and thrust himself forward tilting the ladder to one side! The ladder bounces off the top rope making Cynder fly to the outside and…)
HS: "Oh my God!! Goodness gracious! Cynder has flown all the way to the cage walls slamming himself on it and dropping badly on the concrete!"
(The crowd starts chanting ‘holy-shit! Holy-Shit!’’ in unison as Holly notices this, is about to attack Blue but Bronco, somehow, after that Powerbomb from Holly, raises his arm high under Holly’s legs, giving him a major low blow and an even major pain! Holly drops on his knees holding his private parts as the crowd boos loudly at them!)
MK: "Yes! Both Hazards are down! NPD, get the titles!"
(As if he had heard Mark, Hollywood sets up the chair right under the Tag Titles as he can. Bronco tries to get up to help him out but just can’t. Blue starts climbing the ladder slowly as Holly starts to slowly get up, trying to recuperate from the possible ‘loss’. The crowd starts yelling all kinds of things confusing into every other scream. Hollywood looks up and raises his right arm but he is too low still. Blue climbs yet some more and raises his arm once again…)
HS: "NO! Hollywood blue unhooks one of the titles! He must unhook both to become the new AWA Tag Team Champions!"
MK: "Look out!"
(Holly stands between the ladder, with blue on it, and Bronco. Blue notices Holly approaching the ladder and tosses the title he just got to Bronco, making Holly follow the gold with his eyes, turning around. Bronco catches the title in mid air and with the same impulse, clovers Holly upside the head with it, making the big man drop on one knee. The crowd starts booing crazy as Bronco raises the title once again. As he is to let down again, Holly raises one hand and hold the title to Bronco’s surprise. Then, Hollywood Blue jumps off and almost breaks Holly’s neck with a knee, straight down from a thirteen feet height! Holly drops the title and hit the mat face first as he tries to hold the back of his neck. Quickly, Bronco is the one who starts to go up the ladder. The crowd starts cheering wildly as Cynder rolls himself inside the ring.)
HS: "YES!"
(Hollywood blue now is the one to grab the title on the mat and, since Cynder was looking at Bronco on the ladder and not at him, blue clovers Cynder from the back, making him go down almost unconscious in an instant!)
HS: "NO! This can’t end like this! No!!"
MK: "YES! And it is the best ending of all!!"
(Slowly, and in front of the crowd’s agony, Bronco T. raises hi arm and reaches for the other belt as the referee makes the bell ring, finalizing the match.)
HS: "I can’t believe this!"
MK: "WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS AND GUESS WHAT?? NO REMATCH!!!"
(‘’Money ain’t a thing" by Jermain Drupi starts blasting through the P.A. system. Bronco staggers to one side but manages to jump off the ladder, falling on both feet but dropping on his back immediately. Bronco looks at the title in his hands and kisses it before hugging it. Blue approaches him and does the same. The crowd cannot believe it. Both Hazards on the ring and in an almost unconscious state.)
HS: "I can’t believe the referee didn’t say anything about what the NPD did… was that even legal?"
MK: "Don’t be a sore loser. The NPD won, the referee already named them new AWA Tag Team Champions and there is nothing you can do about it. Besides, who said what they did wasn’t legal? NOBODY!! HA HA!"
(The cage starts rising once again as both NPD members slowly rolls out of the ring with their newly won Titles.)
HS: "This is definitely NPD’s greatest day. Not only because they became Tag Team Champions for the second time but because in the end, in a war against the Hazards, they got the last laugh, as some say. But because they won at Classic and because the NPD became a two-time Tag Team Champions in the SkyDome in Canada! I still can’t believe it!"
MK: "YES! And you can say it again if you like!"
HS: "What?!? I still can’t believe it!"
MK: "What a start to AWA Classic, but now it’s time to pass you back to out comrades over on…"
(Mark is cut-off mid-sentence)
HS: "WHAT THE…"
(Suddenly "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard strikes up over the PA System and a brash and confident Dave"The Rave" Santini, smartly dressed in a black and grey pinstriped suit makes his way into the arena)
MK: "He’s here! Dave"The Rave" Santini is here!"
HS: "Oh great. I can hardly contain my excitement!"
(The booing and jeering ring out through the sold-out arena as the former AWA World, United States, Intercontinental and Hardcore Champion makes his way towards the ring, and slides in under the bottom rope. He brandishes a mic from his suit jacket pocket, before starting to address the Toronto crowd)
SANTINI: "Good evening Ladies and Gentleman and let me take this opportunity to say what a privilege it is to be with you all here in…"
(The crowd go silent momentarily)
SANTINI: "…the most god-forsaken whole the AWA has ever graced it’s presence with!!!"
(The crowd’s jeering grow to unthinkable volume)
MK: "That’s one way to get the crowd on his side"
SANTINI: "Of all the damn places the greatest show on earth could have gone to…The "powers that be" decide to go to Canada…and Toronto at that!! Anyway, I’m not here to talk about Toronto or even Canada. I’m here to talk about the events that transpired on AWA Shock just fourteen days ago. The vicious and brutal assault on our beloved George Slater that has meant that he can’t even be here at the Skydome for the biggest American Wrestling Alliance event of the AWA Calendar"
(He grins satisfyingly)
SANTINI: "…but one of the reasons that I am out here tonight is to put the record straight and to eliminate the rumours that I have been hearing backstage that I…ME…DAVE"THE RAVE" SANTINI had anything to do with that attack"
(He pauses)
SANTINI: "I mean, how could I have had anything to do with the attack. I was in the centre of the ring when the attack took place and not only that, but I have thousands upon thousands of AWA fans that will pay witness to that. See, I knew you all had a purpose in life and would come in useful one day"
SANTINI: "but this whole episode that has darkened AWA Shock leaves the Board of Directors with one serious problem and that is with no Mortis Valley at the helm and with George Slater out of action indefinitely, someone somewhere has to make the decision of appointing a NEW Head of AWA Shock…a new Commissioner!!"
(The crowd boos, fearing what is coming next"
SANTINI: "and you can imagine who surprised I was when I received the phone call last week asking me…"
HS: "Please Noooooooooo…Don’t tell me they did"
SANTINI: "…when they phoned me and asked me to announce, live here tonight on AWA Classic at the Skydome in Toronto, Canada just who the man was going to be…"
HS: "Thank god for that. I thought that he was about to announce that he was returning as the Commissioner of Shock…Phew!"
MK: "What are you talking about, Herb? That would have been a masterful decision by the AWA Board of Directors"
SANTINI: "…and let me tell each and every one of you that it is not only a privilege, but also an honour to announce to you the new Commissioner of AWA Shock. Ladies and Gentleman, let me introduce you all to that very man in question…"
(He pauses)
SANTINI: "Hit the damn music"
(The crowd go silent as "Pour Some Sugar On Me" strikes up once more, as Dave Santini stands in the centre of the ring with a beaming smile on his mouth)
HS: "Ohhhhhhh nooooooooo!!!"
MK: "Oh yes, Shock is back, baby!"
SANTINI: "and let me tell you, things are going to change around here…Starting with tonight!"
HS: "Change…starting tonight?? What does he mean?"
SANTINI: "That’s right. I have already been in talks with Ted Goldstein and later here tonight, live from the Skydome in Toronto, we will both be announcing the details of a Shock and Xplosion Draft Pick that we see three Xplosion Superstars becoming the future of AWA Shock and three Xplosion Superstars being the future of AWA Xplosion!"
HS: "What the?!?"
MK: "A Draft Pick…Here tonight!! This is awesome!!"
HS: "This could change the life of any AWA Superstar here tonight. Is no-one safe from this Draft Pick? We could see AWA Title holders traded brands…Anyone!"
MK: "Santini has certainly started his tenure with a bang…and as promised all will be revealed later tonight!!"
HS: "This is not good news for the entire roster on AWA Shock, not good news at all, but for now it’s time to pass over to our Xplosion counterparts…"
LP: "Thanks Herb. A Draft Pick later on tonight, what’s your thoughts on that Frank?
FJ: "It’s a lottery, Larry. Anyone could be traded and by the sounds of it, Ted and Santini have already decided on who’s going where. We could see the winner of the next match becoming a Number One Contender and not even being around to get his Title shot."
LP: You could be right there and talking of the next match, up next we have what promises to be an amazing Cruiserweight match up."
FJ: "Isn't that an oxymoron? Amazing Cruiserweight?"
LP: "Shut up. wait a minute?"
FJ: "What the heck is going on?"
('ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAA' shrilly echoes through the arena as the fans hit their feet, a bit confused as to the interrupter. Soon, a dark tanned Hispanic hits the top of the ramp. He is hyped up as his long, black, slick hair sprays droplets of water around when he leaps up into the air. The fans sense his electricity and they begin to cheer as he gives them high five’s all the way down to the ring, corralled by Chumba Wumba's 'Top of the World'.)
LP: "Do you know who this is?"
FJ: "No. the janitor?"
LP: "No, it's AWA's newest addition. The ink is still wet on this kid's contract. He's a national superstar in Mexico and a hero in his homeland of Colombia. It's ORLANDO OLAZABUL ORTEGA!"
FJ: "What the hell did you just say? Speak English!"
LP: "I am. that's his name!"
FJ: "Oh great, a new guy who's name I can't pronounce."
LP: "Just call him Orlando."
FJ: "No habla espanol man!"
(Ortega hops up onto the ring apron and poses for the cameras. He then leaps over the top rope and rolls into the ring after a rolling senton. He pops to his feet with his arms held wide taking in the jubilation from the Canadian crowd.)
LP: "They even know who he is this far up North. He's a world icon!"
FJ: "I've never heard of him."
LP: "That's because you're shoved so far up your own ass, you don't know what day it is!"
FJ: "Yes I do. this is a PPV, so it's Sunday!"
(Ortega calls for a microphone and holds it up as the fans cheer.)
Ortega: "What's up Toronto? Are you guys hot? Hey, that girl up there is pretty damn hot, eh!"
(The camera focuses on the Chiquita that Ortega pointed to as he lets the cheap pop die down.)
Ortega: "Call me honey. anyway, for those of you who don't know me. well, climb out of that rock you're under! I'm OUTRAGEOUS ORLANDO ORTEGA. LUCHADOR SUPREME!"
(The fans begin to cheer as Ortega pauses, winking at them.)
Ortega: "Ok, ok, ok, settle down. don't want to have to make any of you chiquitas change your panties now, would I?"
(Many female fans begin to scream.)
Ortega: "Let me tell you guys a little story. you see, most of you know about my world-renowned futbol career."
(Another pop from the Canadians.)
Ortega: "And you know about my unprecedented run in Mexico, in process to becoming the most successful luchador of ALL TIME!"
(A huge pop from the crowd.)
LP: "Obviously his reputation precedes him."
FJ: "That isn't the only thing that precedes him. I hope to God that's a cup."
LP: "What are you talking about?"
FJ: "He's packing more than 50 Cent at a Jeff Foxworthy show!"
Ortega: "But what most of you don't know is. well, about a year ago, around this time, in a little town called Baranquilla Colombia, at a little event called Classic. I witnessed the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I realized then, at that show, that the American Wrestling Alliance was the place for me!"
"And so, here I am, one year later, in front of the largest crowd I've ever seen in my entire life. and in front of the greatest wrestling fans in the world in TORONTO!"
(A HUGE pop from the crowd as a GO LEAFS GO chant begins to echo throughout the crowd. Ortega just stands there and smiles.)
Ortega: "I promised my Poppa that I would make it, and now, as I stand here tonight, I can finally say. I'm ALMOST there."
"That's right, almost there. you see, there is one thing that I have yet to obtain in my life. I already have fame, I already have glory, I already have women. but what I don't have, is AWA gold."
(The fans cheer loudly at the prospect of Orlando winning AWA gold.)
Ortega: "And that is truly what brings me out here tonight. I am the greatest luchador in the world, so it only seems natural that I officially enter myself into the Cruiserweight ranks! And it also seems natural that I come out here and watch from the front row!"
(Ortega tosses the microphone down and climbs out of the ring and hops over the guardrail. He looks around, smiles at a girl, and asks her politely to stand up. The beauty does so and he offers his lap as a seat. She turns bright red as the camera focuses on her, and she hops onto his lap to enjoy the show. Ortega then takes a beer straight from a nearby vendor's hand and
sips it down.)
FJ: "I wish I could do that."
LP: "You and me both, she's fine."
FJ: "No, I meant have a beer. we don't get anything to drink but stale water down here!"
LP: "Whatever. well, they're going to enjoy the show, so why shouldn't we? And what an amazing show we have for you here LIVE from the SOLD OUT Toronto Sky Dome, this Frank, this is Classic!"
FJ: "That it is an even I porter have to admit that the Xplosion side of things has me anxious to get the ball rolling."
LP: "And what a match to start the night of on the right foot. We’ve got Jeremy Price taking on Damion taking on The Flying Keith in a Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match for the Cruiserweight Championship! Let’s look at how we got here."
(We cut to a video package that starts with Lars Fredrickson holding the AWA Light Heavyweight Championship over his head after defeating AAA to become the first ever Light Heavyweight Champion. Then we cut to clips all the great battles that the Cruiserweight title has brought to the AWA. We see Black Dragon hitting the moonsualt of the steel cage at Summer Shoot Out 2000, followed by Ray owns and Black Dragon laying on the mat exhausted at Classic 2000 during they’re Iron Man Match. Then we see Low and Drake Hyde holding up the title in the following year. Fast forward to 2003 with clips of Javex, Whisper, The Fish, Jayson Price and Rawstarr all doing dare-devilish moves in some of their battles for the Cruiserweight Title. We see Fish’s Total Blue from the ladder at Classic ’03 and clips of the Dog Collar match that Fish and Whisper we’re apart of. We see the insanely fast chain wrestling from the Iron Man Match that Fish and Black Jack had at Revelations 2004. Then we see black, the fast pace music and phenomenal wrestling is replaced with a picture of Rawstarr standing alone in a dark run down apartment with the Cruiserweight Gold weeping on his shoulder, we fade back to black and the words of Ted Goldstien.
Ted Goldstien: "You know over the past few weeks those three men that are laying motionless on my ramp have really been putting on a show for you people. "
We see shot shots of each of the three competitors. First Damion then Price then Keith.
Ted Goldstien: "In fact, these men have been so good that it really feels like a rebirth in the Cruiserweight Division."
(We see some of the old Cruiserweights performing moves and there pictures mutating into the current competitors.)
Ted Goldstien: "I see hope for the Title that once had so much prestige and value, and that s the reason that in just two weeks at AWA Classic live on pay per view there will be a Triple Threat Match for the Number One Contendership of the AWA Cruiserweight Championship between Damion, The Flying Keith and Sgt. Jeremy Price, The Rebirth has begun, Thank you very much! "
(The fast pace music kicks back up and it’s now all clips of Damion Jeremy price and Flying Keith over the last few weeks. Damion Drillers, Freedomsaults, Suicide Dives, reversals and big falls. The clips stop as does the music and it is replaced with all three men’s faces and the words "Classic 2004" above them and "Let The Rebirth Begin" Below them.)
LP: "Well these three men certainly have been given a lot to live up to by General Manager Ted Goldstein and what better place to prove there worth then at Classic!"
FJ: "Yeah, let’s just hope they don’t choke."
(The lights go out as Eat You Alive plays right after the lights go out. After 10 seconds, all 4 corners of the ring shoot up fireworks which light up the arena. The fireworks die down after 5 seconds and the arena lights come back on. Keith can be seen at the top of the ramp looking down as he makes his way for the ring holding a bottle of water. He rolls into the ring and jumps up to his feet as he takes a gulp of the water and throws it into the crowd with the bottle open and wetting whoever.)
LP: "Flying Keith though winless in the AWA has been impressive to say the least."
FJ: "Yeah, plus he’s a real asshole, I like that in man."
LP: "You would Frank."
FJ: "What are you trying to say Porter?"
(When Worlds Collide by Powerman 5000 hits and when the song starts to pick up Damion walks out onto the stage. He does a "T" pose and large pyro behind him goes off. Damion looks back with a smile like he wasn’t aware that the pyro would go off then jogs down the aisle and slides smoothly into the ring. he hops onto the bottom rope and puts his other foot on the middle rope raising his right arm to the crowd with a cocky smile on his face. The fans boo as Damion and Keith exchange some choice words.)
LP: "Last week on Xplosion in a shocking upset Damion pinned AWA Hall Of Famer Mr. Jack Happy. So he is definitely someone to look out for in this match."
FJ: "I could pin Jack Happy, I mean he’s just an overweight clown."
LP: "An over weight clown who is also a three time AWA World Champion."
FJ: "You can’t let anything slide can you Porter?"
("Born In The USA" by Bruce Springstein hits the PA system as the fans erupt. Sgt. Jeremy Price emerges as Red White and Blue confetti drops from the arena ceiling. He runs down the aisle and slides into the ring as the bright white light follows the snare in the song. He mounts the turnbuckle and raises his arms to the fan delight. He then jumps back down and does the same to the opposite corner. He then jumps down and stays in that corner watching the other two men.)
LP: "There is our last competitor in this match up, the undefeated Sgt. Jeremy Price, he owns a pinfall victory over both this men Frank."
FJ: "Yeah yeah, lets get to it already!"
(The ref calls for the bell and all three men stay in their corners as the crowd continues to buzz here in Toronto for the first match of the night here at Classic. Keith starts to makes a running move towards Damion but is cut off by a clothesline via Jeremy Price. Damion now moves in and both he and Jeremy start laying the boots in on Keith. Keith manages to fight his way back to his feet but Damion and Price are still in control of him. The pushes him against the ropes then whip him into the far ropes. They await his return, but when he grabs the ropes on the other side and stays put the two men turn to each other and begin throwing punches. Jeremy gets the upper hand and forces Damion against the ropes then whips him in the far ropes and on the rebound Damion is caught with a super kick from Keith. The sneak attack sends Damion to the ground only momentarily as he rolls back to his feet and all three men remain a safe distance away from each other.)
LP: "Still in the felling out process here early on."
(Damion now walks right up to Jeremy Price and gets in his face. Jeremy pie faces Damion to back him off and Damion fires back with a knife edge chop that ignites a "Whoooooo" throughout the arena. Jeremy retaliates with a chop of his own, then Damion, then Price, then Damion, then Price, then Damion, the sound is almost sickening but neither man is backing down. Flying Keith now approaches and is met with a double chop from Damion and Price, Keith chops Damion and Price chops Keith, Keith chops Price and Price chops Damion, Damion has had enough of the little game and he hits Jeremy with a right hand, Keith follows suit and both men start attacking Jeremy. They whip him into the ropes and Damion gets in front of Keith, he looks like he is going to back drop Price, but then at the last second he drops down to the mat allowing Price to nail Keith with a clothesline that sends him down to the floor with some intense impact leaving Damion and Price in the ring.)
LP: "Ouch, Keith hit hard and that’s going to give Damion and Price a chance to get it on."
FJ: "Orlando doesn’t look impressed."
(Price charges Damion and is met with an arm drag, Damion holds on and locks in a modified armbar. Jeremy leans back then nips up with Damion still holding his arm Jeremy executes a switch and locks in a standing hammer lock on Damion then trips him down to the mat and floats over into a front face lock. Damion quickly gets back to his feet with his head still under Jeremy’s arm and attempts a Northern lights suplex with a bridge to break the hold, but Jeremy is able to flip over and land on his feet in perfect position for neck breaker which he uses. Now on the mat with Damion’s head on his shoulder he grabs Damion’s head and back rolls over Damion locking in a head lock with a body scissors, Damion is now in a sitting position with Jeremy’s legs wrapped around his body and his head under Jeremy’s arm. Damion fits back to his feet rolling a few times and is now standing while Jeremy still has the hold locked in. Damion now has his back to the ropes as Keith gets back up to the apron, Damion uses his strength to throw Price over his head in a Northern Lights fashion right into Keith on the apron who flies back down to the floor.)
LP: "Wrong place wrong time there for Keith."
(Both men in the ring get back to their feet as does Keith on the floor, Jeremy tries to kick Damion in the mid section, but Damion catches his foot and throws in up into the air, Jeremy back flips out of the ring onto the floor landing on Keith in a moonsualt fashion as the crowd erupts.)
LP: "Whoa! That was incredible placement by Damion."
FJ: "Do you really think he saw that Porter? I think he was just trying to kill Price."
LP: "Well either way both Keith and Price are down on the floor and Damion is in the ring, remember there’s no count outs in a triple threat match, so this could get interesting."
(Price and Keith slowly get up on the outside and begin trading lazy punches, completely ignoring Damion in the ring. Damion runs and jumps up onto the top rope doing a balancing act then turns 180 degrees spring boards off the rope and comes off with a moonsualt, but he keeps spinning and lands with a double flying back elbow on his two opponents sending all three men down to the floor hard, Price and Keith with elbows to the face and Damion with hard impact on the back off his head. The crowd starts the infamous "Holy Shit" chant as all three men lay on the floor trying to recover.)
LP: "What an innovative move by Damion! Rawstarr better look out, these guys mean business."
(Damion is the first to his feet and he grabs the nearest person to him, which is Flying Keith and rolls him into the ring. Damion covers 1 . . .2 . . . Keith gets the shoulder up and Damion looks upset. He gets up and drops an elbow on Keith then again tries to end the match. 1 . . . Keith kicks out. Frustrated Damion raises Keith to his feet and whips him into the ropes on the opposite side of the ring where Jeremy price is, just as he does this Jeremy climbs onto the apron. Damion ducks a Keith clothesline and Jeremy spring boards over and lands on Keith nailing a tornado DDT and kicking Damion down to the mat in the process. Damion gets up quickly as does Jeremy who goes for a hurricanrana on Damion, Damion grabs Jeremy’s legs though and pulls him up into a powerbomb position, but Jeremy rolls over Damion and rolls him up with a sun set flip. 1 . . . 2 . . . Damion gets up fast, almost as fast Jeremy, Damion goes for a clothesline but Jeremy ducks and Damion nails Keith who has just reached his feet and is sent back down doing a back flip. Damion turns back around and is met with a viscous super kick that sends him over the tope rope onto the apron then down to the floor all in the matter of about one second.)
LP: "Price just leveled Damion with a Head Shot, he could be out cold."
(Jeremy looks like he is going to follow up with a plancha, but as soon as he launches him self in the air Keith grabs both his legs and pulls foiling Jeremy’s attempt. Jeremy pops back up pissed at Keith’s move and Keith tries to punch Jeremy but he moves then kicks Keith in the gut and grabs him like a he was setting up for a Rock Bottom which we know means he is setting up for the Weapon Of Mass Destruction. The fans start to cheer, but Keith realizing what is about to happen spins around keeping a hold of Jeremy’s arm and turns it into a hammer lock. He then locks Jeremy’s other arm in a full nelson position turns around and throws Jeremy over his head with an unique suplex that drops him on his head. Jeremy sits up with a dazed look in his eyes then falls down to the mat, Keith covers. 1 . . . 2 . . . Jeremy just manages to get his shoulder up.)
LP: "Jeremy could have ended it there with the Weapon Of Mass Destruction but Keith was able to reverse with a variation half nelson suplex."
FJ: "Damion sure is doing a lot, Get up!"
(Keith garbs Jeremy by the head and rolls him up to his feet then whips him into the ropes. Jeremy ducks a clothesline then hits the ropes again and goes for a cross body block but is cut off by a Flying Keith drop kick. Keith again covers, 1 . . . 2 . . . Jeremy kicks out and Keith resorts to mounting him and throwing punch after punch into his head, Jeremy tries to cover up but the beating is obviously taking it’s toll. As the pummelling continues we see Damion mounting the top rope in the corner of our screen, a small cut has opened up on his head and blood is tricking down his face. Damion leaps and Keith gets out of the way, but Jeremy is hit with a Corkscrew 450, Damion stays on top to cover. 1 . . . Keith pushing him off Jeremy and covers Damion 1 . . . 2 . . . 3! No wait, Damion just managed to get his foot on the rope at the last second. )
LP: "That Twister Splash took a lot out of Damion, if it wasn’t for his fortunate placement in the ring he would have be done for."
FJ: "Done for? Do people even still say that Porter?"
(Keith picks op Damion and scoop slams him down onto Jeremy Price who winces in pain. Damion slides off and is now laying next to Jeremy with his head ant Jeremy’s feet. Keith runs and springs off the ropes hitting a lionsault on both men. 1 . . . 2 . . . both men kick out at the same time. Keith rolls off and lays on the mat, that sudden burst of energy took a lot out of him. The ref begins the ten count, 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . 4 . . . 5 all three men are up now, but look tired and hurt. Keith is in the middle of the ring with Damion in front of him and Jeremy Price behind him. Both men start punching Keith until he is sufficiently dazed in the middle of the ring. Then Damion and Price hit the ropes opposite each other and come back both hitting climb up Enziguris on Keith at the same time, Price from behind and Damion from in front. Keith goes down to the mat in a heap as both Damion and Jeremy get up and showboat to the crowd turning they’re backs to each other. They keep they’re arms raised and start walking backwards until the bump into each other and turn around with intense looks on they’re faces)
LP: "Uhoh."
(Jeremy throws the first punch and Damion relates, with his own, the Sky Dome is in a frenzy as the two men are caught up in a whirl wind of left and right hands. Jeremy stops the fist fight with a kick to the gut, he goes for a tornado DDT, but doesn’t have enough strength left to pull him down, so once the get half way around Damion stops and throws Price over his head with a Northern Lights Suplex that lands him right on top of Keith, making him hit a senton splash. Jeremy rolls through quickly though and spring boards of the middle rope jumps and hits a hurricanrana on Damion who lands a leg drop on Keith the rolls through and hits the ropes with his chest then gets school boy by The Flying Keith! 1 . . . 2 . . . Jeremy is able to break up the three count as the fans rise to they’re feet in appreciation of the last exchange. )
LP: "Well Frank would you say they’ve disappointed?"
FJ: "Shut up Porter, I’m trying to watch the match! Get them Damion!"
(Jeremy grabs Keith and hits a Dudley Dog on him, the "Bad Intelligence". Damion quickly garbs Jeremy and whips him into the corner. He comes in hard with a forearm across the face to that looks like it knocked Jeremy’s lights out, But instead of moving on or going for a cover he starts kneeing Jeremy in the head, three times he goes this before he hooks him like a suplex and puts him on top of the turnbuckle. He climbs up too and picks up Jeremy so it looks like he is going to fall away slam him back into the ring. Just as this is happening Keith is standing up in the ring and trying to shake the cob webs out. Damion jumps and does a moonsualt holding on top Jeremy, Keith turns around and Jeremy and Damion crush him in the middle of the ring. Damion flies back off Keith and into the corner while slides down a little so that only his legs are on Keith, and with all four shoulders down there his no pin attempt. The crowd goes into a "Holy Shit" Chant like no other.)
LP: "The Flying Keith is dead!"
FJ: "What about Jeremy Price? I haven’t seen him move either."
LP: "And the ropes is the only thing keeping Damion up!"
FJ: "What a move!"
LP: "What a match!"
(The men are down in the ring for way more then ten seconds, but the ref is in too much shock to make the count. Damion is the first to his feet and he stumbles and falls back down then gets up again and pulls up Keith. Keith screams in pain at just being moved holding onto his ribs, Damion looks aggravated at this so of course he stiffly kicks him in the ribs and puts him up on his shoulders in a electric chair fashion. He does a "T" Pose then drops down hitting a Damion Driller that has The Flying Keith out cold. He stumbles back to his feet taunting a little then is turned around by Jeremy Price who has gotten up to everyone’s amazement. In one fluent motion he grabs Damion and drops him across the top rope with a Flatliner, The Weapon Of Mass Destruction. Damion bounces back off the ropes and lays right next to Keith. Jeremy goes to pin, then he stops, looks at the men, looks at the tope rope, listens to the crowd then makes his decision.)
LP: "Is Jeremy Price insane, he’s climbing the tope rope? He has the match won, pin someone!"
FJ: "That idiot! Come on Damion, get up, you can do it!"
(Jeremy struggles to get to the top, but Damion and Price aren’t going anywhere after experiencing two of the most devastating moves the Cruiserweight division has seen in a long time. Price mounts the turnbuckle and faces the crowd, he points to all of them as he stands up, the place is on fire. He jumps and goes for the Freedomsault, but he’s so tired that instead of hitting a leg drop he hits more of a moonsualt senton splash, he stays laid out on the men, his shoulders resting on Keith’s body. 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!)
LP: "There he is, your number one contender for the AWA Cruiserweight Championship, Sgt. Jeremy Price!"
FJ: "What’s this?"
(Orlando Ortega has entered the ring. He pulls up Jeremy Price and they are facing each other, Price is hunched over holding his head and Ortega is saying something to him. Price says something back, but that’s as far as it goes. Ortega now is helping Jeremy Price back stage, they get to the top of the ramp and "Go to War" by Jae Wood hits as the crowd has a mixed reaction for the Cruiserweight Champion. Rawstarr comes out looking intense holding the Cruiserweight Title up in the air. He gets right in Jeremy Price’s face holding the title right next to Jeremy’s face. The two exchange some heated words then Rawstarr extends his hand, Jeremy shakes it as Ortega jumps into the mix, all three men are talking about something. We can feel the intensity between the three men.)
LP: "All three of these men wan that title, but only one can have it."
FJ: "Well this Ortega guy obviously didn’t get the point of the match, he’s gonna have to wait."
LP: "Your right."
(Then suddenly we hear a loud crack and our view shifts back to the ring where we see Flying Keith holding a chair and Damion laid out on the mat with blood now gushing from his forehead.)
LP: "Whoa!"
FJ: "What was that for?"
LP: "I’m not sure, but one thing is . . . There is some heat in the Cruiserweight Division!"
(The AWAtron flickers and we cut to a back parking lot where we see a blue stretch limousine pulling in. The driver gets out and opens the door as The Fish steps out, wearing a blue collared shirt and black slacks with a pair of worn out white converse shoes, he never was a great dresser. The Intercontinental Championship belt is draped over his shoulder and as soon as he steps out of the limo the Sky Dome goes nuts. Fish stops and listens to the reaction as brute steps out of the car eating a red rope and wearing the same nice clothes we saw him in a few day ago, although they’re now filthy. The shot cuts back to Larry and Frank)
LP: "Perhaps the greatest Cruiserweight in AWA history and our Intercontinental Champion just arrived."
FJ: "I hate that guy."
LP: "Fish takes on Snake later tonight in a ladder match, I can’t wait!"
FJ: "but up next we have Rawstarr and Jack Happy in a Number One Contender’s Match for the AWA Cruiserweight Title. A title that gets defended later on in tonight’s show)
(Happy’s music starts as a giant float emerges from the stage, it is decorated by a bunch of evil smiley faces. Many Happyiites are on it dancing to his music. When it gets near the ring he gets off and gets into the ring as the fans cheer. Rawstarr’s music starts up as he emerges with pyro, he runs down to the ring with his Belt. He slides into the ring exchanging looks with Happy. The ref checks both men then motions for the bell.)
Ding!, Ding!, Ding!
(The match begins and Rawstarr wastes no time as he runs into Happy’s corner and attempts a head scissors takedown but Happy doesn’t go down. He is able to throw Rawstarr onto the turnbuckle before the move was finished. Rawstarr protects himself with his arms, then pushes himself into the air and go strait underneath Happy with a modified head scissors takedown that sends Happy into the turn buckle chest first. Rawstarr is quick to his feet and hit’s a jumping dropkick to the back of Happy’s head. Cornered, Happy stumbles backwards as Rawstarr rolls him up. 1.. Happy kicks out.)
LP: "That pin just wasn’t enough to keep Happy down."
(Both rise at around the same time, Happy gives Rawstarr a toe kick that has Rawstarr bending over, Happy rotates him then delivers a big back drop that lands rawstarr on his head. Happy picks up Rawstarr and sends him into the ropes, on the return happy hit’s a back drop but Rawstarr is able to land on his feet, he turns and charges towards Happy, but Happy is able to grab him under the armpits and toss him into the air. Rawstarr then lands on Happys shoulders and hit’s a Hurricanrana. As Happy quickly rises looking shocked Rawstarr charges and hit’s a Dropkick that send Happy stumbling into the corner Rawstarr goes out onto the apron then mounts the turnbuckle, He Puts his feet around Happy’s throat then Falls to the outside of the ropes and hangs on choking the life out of Happy. After a 4 count He release, now on the apron he knees Happy in the back through the ropes that sends him to the mat. Rawstarr again mounts the turnbuckle and jumps off stomping on the back of Happy. Happy screams but stops after 2 stiff kicks to the face from Rawstarr. With Happy down Rawstarr goes to the other side of the ring raising his arms to what seems to be a mixed reaction at best.)
LP: "Now there was absolutely no need for those kicks."
FJ: "Yeah there is porter, he’s trying to win. It was a great move."
LP: "…"
(Rawstarr, busy with the crowd doesn’t see that Happy has risen to his feet, Happy charges and takes Rawstarr down quick, he then mounts him and begins to send punch after punch onto the helpless face of Rawstarr.)
LP: "This one got ugly in a hurry. This is a all out brawl"
(Happy stands up revealing the now bloodied face of Rawstarr. Happy picks him up and send him into the corner following close behind, Rawstarr hit’s the corner shortly after Happy is there and starts to work the cut of Rawstarr with punches and elbows. But after a hidden knee to the crotch the tide turns and Rawstarr starts to mount the turnbuckle, followed by Happy. After some punches Happy is sitting on the top rope, Rawstarr gets on his shoulders and goes for the Hurricanrana, but Happy doesn’t go down, he simply pulls Rawstarr back up, stands up, and jumps off hitting a power bomb of the second rope.)
LP: "What a move!"
(Happy goes for the cover 1...2.. Kickout! Happy quickly pick up Rawstarr and choke slams him and applies the Happy Ending.)
FJ: "Rawstarr is smiling, but I’m sure he isn’t have any fun."
(Rawstarr screams in pain then bites down on Happy’s fingers that were to deep in his mouth. Rawstarr quickly turns and kicks Happy in the head and climbs the top rope. He jumps up going for a Moonsault off the top turnbuckle. But Happy is able to roll out of the way before he hits.)
LP: "That’s why they call it high risk."
(Both men are down and the ref begins to count.)
LP: "What a great match this has been. I have a feeling its winding down though."
FJ: "The match is young…."
(At seven Happy rises and picks up Rawstarr he hit’s a big punch and Rawstarr stumbles back into the ropes, Happy charges towards Rawstarr but he drops down and pulls down the rope sending Happy to the floor near the entrance ramp. Rawstarr hit’s the opposite ropes gaining speed, comes back and hit’s a over the top rope suicide dive that connects as both men fall. The ref begins to count at around 7 Rawstarr rolls in and out to break the count The now risen Happy and him exchange blows but Rawstarr gets the upper hand and climbs onto the float pulling Happy with him, onto of the float they exchange blows but happy gets the upper hand. He grabs Rawstarr in a suplex position and signals that he is going off the float. He hit’s a big suplex of the float onto the floor, Rawstarr is so close to the ring his feet are almost touching the apron. When Happy rises he picks up Rawstarr and attempts to send him into the steps but Rawstarr reverses and sends Happy into the steps. Happy is able to turn his back before impact but is to tall and mostly hits his legs putting him in a laying position on top of the steps with his head sticking off of one side. The camera catches a smile on the bloody face of Rawstarr. He rolls into the ring again breaking the count around eight but this time mounts the top turnbuckle. The crowd rises knowing something big is coming. Rawstarr Does a somersault leg drop onto Happy causing him to flip over. The crowd begins to chant Holy Shit!, Holy Shit!, Holy Shit!.)
LP: "What a move by Rawstarr, he took a risk and that one paid off."
(The ref begins to count 1...2...3...4...5 Rawstarr gets into the ring ...6...7...8...9.. Happy barely gets into the ring. Rawstarr starts to stomp on Happy when he gets into the ring but Happy gets up anyways and hit’s a big left hook that knocks Rawstarr silly he falls forwards onto Happy who catches him picks him up onto his shoulders then run into the corner slamming Rawstarr into them. Happy unleashes a flurry of punches and elbows. Rawstarrs blood flow again increases giving him a complete crimson mask. But he doesn’t give up, he head butts Happy causing him to stumble backwards the stands on the top, jumps and hit’s a Hurricanrana onto Happy who is quick to his feet. Rawstarr start to exchange blows back and forth with Happy but Happy gets the upper hand and sends Rawstarr into the ropes, on the return he goes for a clothesline but Rawstarr dunks, thinking quickly Happy grabs the mouth of Rawstarr with both hands before he can go into the ropes again. Rawstarr runs around in circles try to release the hold but Happy jumps on his back and starts to make him smile. Rawstarrs arms and flying around trying to release the hold then he goes limp and Happy leans back as hard as he can. Blood pumps from Rawstarrs face over Happy’s hands as the ref approaches to test him for KO.)
LP: "Things don’t look good for Rawstarr."
(The Ref tests Rawstarr for the first time and his hand falls.)
FJ: "This one is in the books."
LP: "Not over yet Frank."
(The ref checks Rawstarr’s hand again, and again it falls.)
FJ: "One more and this one is done."
(The ref raises his arm, drops it, and it hit’s the map, the ref calls the bell to ring.)
Ding!,Ding!,Ding!
LP: "Great match but someone has to win and someone has to lose."
(The shot cuts to a commercial advertising last night’s AWA Classic Awards Show, soon to be shown on TV in the coming days, running through the nominations for each category, before cutting back to Herb and Larry)
FJ: "Welcome back and I can tell you from experience that last night was an Award Ceremony like no other, but you’ll have to wait to find out exactly what transpired at that glitzy event…"
LP: "Hang on Frank, something is going on backstage"
(The AWA-tron flickers and Jack Happy is seen in the backstage area dancing along celebrating his victory with a burrito. Then The Fish comes into the frame and Jack happy stops dancing and believe it or not eating.)
LP: "What’s going to happen here? We have the number one contender and the Champion face to face."
(Fish speaks and Happy listens.)
Fish: "Jack, after I go out there and beat Snake tonight your the man that I face next."
(Fish seems intense.)
Fish: "Jack, it will be an honor."
(Fish extends his hand and Happy smiles shakes his hand then gives him a three hundred and fifty pound huge. As the fans cheer and laugh.)
Jack: "Man Fish sticks for a second there I thought you were going to hit me."
Fish: "Nah, I save that for Snake tonight, and for you next week"
(Fish winks and walks away.)
FJ: "That Ladder Match for the AWA Intercontinental Title between Snake and Fish is coming later tonight, but for know we’re going to pass you back over to Herb and Mark for Shock’s next match"
HS: " Thanks Frank. The Television title…one of the grandest and most prestigious titles in the game today, we have seen some epic battles transpire in front of our eyes for this very title and tonight should be no different."
MK: "This Title is the concern of four men tonight and I cant wait to see this good old fashioned chaotic elimination style match up."
(The P.A. blares as a scratchy voice comes out of the speakers," Yeah well all the good things died when Ronnie moved to this place, he said don’t you dare ask, why I'm cursed to wear this face, now we all know why, the children called him Ronnie Frown, cause when he pulled that gun from his pocket, they all fall down," suddenly two thunderous blasts erupt from the stage one right after another as Frown ascends onto the ramp in between the crossed pyro. His stride is steady as he tightens his left grappling glove with his right hand, strapping it and then moving to the other. He tilts his head slightly and finishes his right glove, smiling all the while. He begins slapping the hands of the fans to his right. His pace quickens as he moves
to the opposite side of the ramp and stops, looking to his hands in confusion. His facial expressions droop as he raises his hand to backslap a fan and mouths some angry words. He turns again on the ring and the camera finishing his stride to the squared-circle. Lifting his hand to the camera he says "Get outta my face," shoving it away from him. He slides into the ring and turns, bending his body slightly and resting his massive forearms on the top rope, starring down the ramp for his opponent. )
MK: "Ronnie Frown stands in the ring tonight with his sights set and here is the first of his opponents."
(One of a kind Blares as clips of Thunder and his TV title appear and Adrienne, when fireworks start to shower from the AWA big screen Thunder walks out with a black hooded cut off jacket through the fireworks, as they stop Adrienne comes out as they walk hand and hand to the ring Thunder helps her into the ring and thunder gets in and snaps off his hood to chorus of
boo's Thunder then watches Adrienne gets out to safety.)
MK: "The former Television champion Thunder looks to be ready for war tonight, I doubt that you could find anything he wouldn’t do for that gold tonight."
(A church bell rings three times as "Man That You Fear" by Manson plays through out the arena. The arena lights fade over to a dark blue as two figures stand on the rampway. Fog then flows down the rampway as the figures walk down the rampway through the fog. The figures stop in front of the ring as smoke still surrounds them. A hand that has claws on the fingernails
(like Freddy) appears out of the all of a sudden making some fans at ringside to jump. The figures then step out of the fog that starts to fade away revealing themselves to be Draven and Heather Shadows. Draven slides into the ring wearing his trench coat and his regular outfit with the new item the Freddy Claws. He takes off the glove and then his trenchcoat as he gets ready for his match. Heather stands in his corner cheering him on)
HS: "Another former champion Draven Shadows, stands poised to try and regain his title."
( The Deftones' ''Elite'' begins to play as a massive roar from the crowd signifies the entrance of Andy Peek. The Toronto corwd almost blows the roof off the SkyDome as the Television champion starts his decent towards the ring.)
(Andy Peek notices a VERY familiar face at ring side and approaches the man, with a smile on his face. Then, the camera zooms in on the man's face as the crowd explodes in cheers.)
HS: "It is Damien Kross!!"
MK: "Who!?"
HS: "Damien Kross is a former Annihilation Inc. member. He fought many great battles with Andy Peek, while he was under Jeff Christianson's training technics. Kross joined Annihilation Inc. after his last match against the current Television Champion."
MK: "Ooooh, ok.... So?"
(As Herb looks at Mark in disgust, Kross gets on his feet, Andy takes off his shirt and hands it to the big man. Kross, for the second time in a year, raises the A.I. shirt up high for everyone to see. The crowd cheers even louder as Andy and Kross then embrace, both with big grins on their faces.)
HS: "All three men are in the ring and ready to go here tonight."
MK: "Lets get this thing started"
(The bell rings and all four men circle before Shadows make the first move coming straight for the current champion. Draven swings with a right and then a left both of which are ducked by Peek, during this Frown and Thunder have paired off. Frown gets the quick advantage throwing a flurry of lefts that puts Thunder against the ropes. Frown grabs a leg and sweeps it out from under Thunder, before dropping an elbow and then picking him up and delivering a hard suplex that sends Thunder clutching at his back in pain. Meanwhile Shadows is still trying to get a hold of Peek, after four or five unsuccessful attempts at striking Peek, Andy delivers a drop kick that puts Draven down, Andy immediately follows up by hitting the ropes and coming off with a flying back elbow that puts down Draven again. The crowd roars again saluting Andy’s performance. Frown then takes his shot and delivers a double axe handle that puts Peek on one knee. Thunder fires back now, spinning Frown around and delivering a DDT.)
HS: "A quick start to this match up, all the combatants are hyped up tonight."
MK: "it’s the type of hype that you can only get at Classic."
(Thunder grabs onto Shadows now as he slowly gets up, Thunder lifts the giant into the air with a suplex now and drives him down hard before mounting him and reining down punches to the top of his head. Thunder jumps up and taunts the big man, but Peek is up again, he strikes Thunder in the back of head and whips him to the ropes, as he comes back Peek catches him
and delivers a spine buster that rocks the ring, Peek jumps up quickly only to get caught by the boot of an infuriated Draven Shadows. Shadows picks up Peek and blatantly starts to choke him out, however the referee steps in almost immediately forcing Draven to break the hold. In this time frame Thunder is back up and he delivers clothesline that drops Draven again. Thunder then lays the boots into Draven, before picks him up and delivering a double under-hook suplex. Frown again gets to his feet this time he charges towards Thunder who drops down delivering a back body drop. Frown gets up quickly as he does this he staggers backwards into the ropes and
gets caught with a running clothesline that flips him backwards over the ropes.)
MK: "Thunder is on fire tonight, I think he is the man to beat tonight."
HS: "Classic will do some strange things to a man Mark, who knows this is any ones matchup."
(Thunder follows Frown outside the ring and tosses him back in, Thunder then shoves the time keeper from his chair, and grabs it, Thunder tries to enter the ring with the chair but he is thwarted in his attempts by the referee who rips it from his hands. Peek then steps in and delivers a stiff forearm to Frown which sends him back into Thunder who whips him to the
corner. Frown comes off and Thunder hoists him up.)
HS: "Here comes the Lightning Strike Mark"
(Thunder plows him down with the lightning strike and gets the easy pinfall on Frown. Peek then goes back to work on Draven)
MK: "Thunder has eliminated Ronnie Frown with relative ease, now we have three former television champions in there. Any bets Herb?
HS: "I can not decide now Mark."
(Thunder perches himself on the turnbuckle and takes a breather as Peek delivers an arm drag, Shadows gets up and charges, but gets taken down by a drop toe hold, again Shadows charges but this time Andy completes a fireman’s carry. Draven grabs the back of his head and steps outside the ring to take a breather himself. Andy follows his out and Draven tries to
escape him however Thunder comes out of nowhere off the top rope to the outside with a flying clothesline that almost decapitates Draven. Andy quickly surveys the situation before throwing both men back into the ring. Andy then stands over Draven and looks down towards him and picks him up. Draven is wobbling all over the place, Peek hit’s the far ropes and comes off with a powerful spear that folds Draven up like an accordion. Peek jumps up and plays to the fans whom respond with an earth-shattering roar. Thunder then takes over for Andy, he delivers a pile driver followed by a knee drop.)
MK: "I think Draven is out Herb."
HS: "Draven is taking one hell of an ass kicking Mark, I don’t think he can take much more."
MK: He is used to this Herb, Draven Shadows has been on the wrong side of ass kickings from the likes of Brian Williams, Nightmist and many more, an ass kicking to Draven is nothing new."
(Thunder hoists him up again this time onto his shoulders where he delivers a Death Valley Driver. Thunder turns his attention towards Andy Peek now, he barrels at Peek but Peek dodges a clothesline and drives a knee into Thunder’s mid-section, then he comes back upstairs with a knee lift that puts Thunder down. Andy turns again now Draven has managed to pull himself up onto his feet he stumbles into Andy who delivers a belly to belly suplex, but hangs on and pulls Shadows up with him, he whips him hard into the corner, and Shadows’ head slumps down after hitting the corner. Andy perches himself in a crunched down position in the corner, Draven slowly takes tow steps out of the corner, and gets caught directly on the chin with a super kick from Thunder that knocks him back into the corner. We see Draven’s eyes roll back into the back of his head.)
HS: "He is out on his feet Mark."
(Andy gets a full head of steam and spears Draven into the corner causing his to double over, Peek ducks in behind him and hooks the German Suplex, he releases Draven and Draven flies backwards into the corner striking his head, and simply slumping over.)
MK: "The Executioner’s Deman by Peek, but he isn’t finished with Shadows yet."
(Andy takes Draven from his seated position in the corner, and puts Draven’s lifeless body between his legs, Andy rips him up into the air, and delivers the Triple Powerbomb into the corner, hitting his head off the top rope, middle rope and then the mat. Andy then goes for the cover, but Thunder grabs his leg on the two count and rips him off so that he can take advantage of Draven be knocked out cold. Thunder then locks in his patented Modified Dragon Sleeper, The Lightning Rod. We can see that Draven is completely unconscious and then the bell rings only moments after Draven has been in the hold.)
HS: "Mark, the referee has stopped this beating, Draven Shadows has been eliminated by way of not being able to continue."
MK: "Draven isn’t moving Herb, is out like a light….He got beat down in Classic fashion."
HS: "Again Mark, leave the bad play on words to me buddy."
(Thunder and Andy then circle each other. Thunder starts off by delivering a kick to the gut of Andy, he then locks in a head lock that Andy counters with a back suplex. Andy goes for a quick cover. 1.…….2.……kickout by Thunder. Andy lifts Thunder and hooks a vertical suplex, Thunder blocks it and Andy tries again, but again Thunder blocks it, this time however Thunder lands one of his own. He now tries for a quick cover. 1.…kickout.)
HS: "What was he thinking trying to pin Peek that fast."
MK: "Maybe he thought Peek would be tired from beating down Shadows."
(Thunder becomes infuriated and starts to violently punch and kick away at Peek who tries to cover up. After a moment Thunder drops a fist right between his eyes, and then locks in a blatant choke. The ref tries to break it but can not and starts to count on the count of four Thunder breaks it. Thunder then picks up Peek and whips him to the ropes before landing a
spinning clothesline. Peek’s head hits hard on the mat, and Thunder goes for another pin. 1.……..2...kickout. Thunder again becomes infuriated and screams at the ref accusing him of a slow count, however the ref yells right back at him. Thunder picks up Andy again this time he goes for a kick but Andy grabs his foot. Thunder quickly counters with a enziguri that flattens
Peek, he rolls him over and goes for the pin. 1.………..2.……………..¾! Peek kicks out again and Thunder grabs his head in disbelief he seemingly snaps and goes outside this time he grabs the ring bell, he attempts to climb the ropes with it but he ref bravely steps into his way, Thunder jumps down, and shoves the ref who stands right up to Thunder. The ref threatens to disqualify him and then grabs the ring bell from his hands. )
HS: "A great job by the ref tonight."
MK: "I wish he would let Thunder ring Andy’s bell"
HS: "That would be cheating Mark."
MK: No…not reporting your income to the IRS like you do is cheating Herb….that is being Resourceful."
HS: "You realize they are going to audit me now right…"
MK: "Hey on a side note look at this Herb, they sent some EMT’s to drag Draven out of the ring."
(Andy slowly gets to his feet and Thunder whips him to the ropes as he bounces off Thunder wraps him up in the sleeper hold, Andy struggles to free himself but Thunder has got it locked in well. Slowly Andy begins to drop down onto one knee. After a few more second the ref jumps in and raises Andy’s arm. It falls one time, and the crowd grows silent, the ref raises it again, and this time the crowd gasps and starts chanting Andy’s name. Again the ref raises Andy’s arm and it falls partially down, before he tightens up Andy hold s his arm up, and the crowd goes nuts. They chant louder and louder, and Andy forces his way up, and gets a second wind from the energy of the crowd. Andy then starts to shake his arms, then he runs backwards ramming Thunder into the corner, he backs out and rams him in over an over until finally Thunder releases the Sleeper. Andy then sits on the second rope and hoists Thunder up and drives him down.)
HS: "The X-ecution!!!! ITS OVER ITS OVER…"
(Andy crawls over and pins Thunder. The ref counts. 1.…………..2.………………… ………….3!!!!!!!!!")
HS: "He’s done it. Andy Peek has done it, he’s retained the AWA Television Title!"
(Andy Peek celebrates in the ring, holding the Television Title aloft)
HS: "Another awesome match from AWA Shock, but it’s time to pass you over to Frank and Larry for the next match!"
(Suddenly from out of nowhere the lights of the arena flicker off without warning, a hush descending through the crowd.)
LP: "What the...?"
(One would expect music to hit about now, but instead the AWA-tron lights up again with a single figure being focused upon. It’s Fury, standing out within the parking lot of the arena.)
Fury: "You whoooo... Up here!"
(A moment is given to make sure all eyes are focussing on the AWA-tron. A Rather mischievous little grin is on his face, hands folded behind his back as he just stands there)
Fury: "Goooooood evening ladies and gentleman! I interrupt this program to bring you a message from the board and the lovable little wrestler, Fury.. me! Before we continue allow me to take a moment though to introduce Sparky to his personal viewing area for later tonight."
(Fury takes a step to the side, the camera moving with him. Giving a wide sweep of the hand he motions to a small area he'd personally set up. There is a chair with a desktop attached to it, like the desks you have to sit in at school. Sitting on the desk is a mini television, which Fury turns towards the camera to show that it was set for viewing Classic, so currently it shows him!)
Fury: "We got you a little desk, television, and…"
(Leaning over to the side, where a small cooler was set, he pops the lid open and pulls a package out of the ice...*
Fury: "Furycicles!"
(Fury offers that cheesy grin again before dropping the furycicles back in and kicking the lid closed)
Fury: "Now on with the announcement!"
(Moving back out in front, he reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a piece of paper. Snapping it open he holds out in front of him with both hands.)
Fury: "I hope you're listening really closely Sparky.. And Stevens."
(Clearing his throat, he looks down to the paper and begins to read.)
Fury: "The placement of the Final Encounter between John "Fury" Heights and Michael Stevens will NOT be chosen by the board, but will be chosen by one John "Fury" Heights. Blah, blah, blah.. yadda, yadda, yadda…"
(Dropping the paper down Fury just smiles to the camera.)
Fury: "Now.. I've been giving this a lot of thought. It isn't too often that one gets a chance like this! But I finally figured it out. Now Sparky, remember that you're not allowed to change a single thing.. And I've already taken an inventory of everything that is in your office. That's right! The Final Encounter will take place in the office of Mr. Sparky Goldstein!!"
(The shot cuts back to that of Larry and Herb)
LP: "Wow. A huge announcement there by John Fury and that match is coming up later but first we have the Hardcore Title match to look forward to. This match is going to be insane, Frank. Black Jack is back and with a vengeance."
FJ: "Yeah, but Baird is tough as hell."
LP: "That he is, you don’t become a champion in the AWA if you’re weak."
FJ: "I really don’t care who wins, so long as someone gets hurt in the process."
LP: "You are sick, you really are."
FJ: "I feel okay Porter."
LP: "You…. Actually, Never mind."
(Booker T and the MG's-"Green Onions hits and Blackjack appears on the ramp way and as the guitar chimes in Pyros shoot up from each side of the ramp all the way down, at every chime of the guitar as he makes his way down. He climbs into the ring going to the middle and raises his arms out and up then tosses off his Leather Jacket. He then heads for the far corner and leans against the turnbuckles waiting for the arrival of his opponent.)
LP: "Black Jack Looks focused here, Baird had better be ready."
("Green Onions" fades and moments after Baird’s Music kicks in and he steps through the curtain. He stands atop the ramp and stares down at Black Jack. Baird looks at his Hardcore Title and then back and Black Jack and smiles. He then takes a few steps and stops mid ramp. He turns back and makes a come out motion towards the curtain, and moments later what looks like an AWA official steps out pushing a big plastic tub that is filled with the tools of the Hardcore trade.)
FJ: "He has everything in that bin but the kitchen sink. No wait here it comes."
(Frank has it nailed, a second official comes out carrying a kitchen sink. He tosses it into the bin and Baird takes control of it. He pushes it to the ring and as he does he looks up at Black Jack who has a big smile on his face and he is nodding approvingly to Baird. Baird Reaches the ring and begins to toss the weapons into the ring. Once the bin is empty he slides into the ring himself and the bell rings.)
LP: "This one is under way, parents just a quick warning this match may not be suitable for younger children."
FJ: "Yeah but it will be bloody and gruesome, and I love it."
(Black Jack quickly turns to the ref to ask a question, but as he is turned Baird storms across the ring and nails him with a clothesline. Black Jack falls to the mat and Baird begins to work him over. He grabs a nearby trash can and bashes BJ over the head with it BJ falls prone to the mat and Baird proceeds to drill him with the can once more time. Baird then tosses the mangled can aside and slides out of the ring. On the outside he pulls up the ring apron and begins to dig around under the ring, and as he does he pulls out a table which he promptly slides into the ring.)
LP: "This one has the makings of getting nasty right off the get go here."
FJ: "Yes, why wait, kill, and kill fast."
(Baird slides back into the ring and sets the table up so it runs parallel to the near ropes. He then makes his way to BJ and pulls him up and drags him over to the vicinity of the set up table. He then hooks BJ into a front face lock and lifts him going for a suplex, but instead of falling backwards he begins to let him go forward and add a slingshot effect to the Suplex. But BJ manages to wiggle in the air which causes Baird to step forward and allows BJ to land on the apron outside the ropes. He then reverses and pulls Baird over the top and delivers a suplex of his own to the outside. Baird lands with a thud and stays down and looks hurt.)
LP: "What a counter from Black Jack, and Baird is in a bad way."
FJ: "Did you hear him hit Porter? What a sick thud, I love it."
(BJ looks down at Baird for a moment then heads back into the ring and grabs a chair and heads back out to the apron. He heads to the opposites end of the apron where Baird is laying and begins a run, he leaps at the end of the apron and puts the chair under his legs and drops legs and chair right onto the face and head of Baird, and upon landing we hear a collective scream from some of the fans around the scene. The move does its trick but BJ does not come out unharmed as he rolls away clutching the backs of his legs. We zoom in on the chair BJ just used and see a huge dent where the chair made contact with the head of Baird. Eventually BJ manages to pull himself on top of Baird and hook a leg for a cover, the ref gets into position and counts 1.….2.… Baird just manages to roll his shoulder to break the count.)
LP: "Damn that was close, Black Jack was a split second away from taking the hardcore title away from Colin Baird."
FJ: "Yeah, and did you hear that chair crack against the skull of Baird? What innovation from Black Jack, I cant wait to see what else he has planned."
(BJ pulls himself up and drags the still nearly unconscious Baird with him. BJ limps towards the ring and slides Baird in and then rolls in himself. Once back in the ring BJ grabs a broom from the mat and makes his way over to Baird who is trying to pull himself up via the ropes. BJ waits for Baird to reach his feet and drives the but end of the broom into his stomach causing Baird to double over. BJ then raises the broom over his head in both hands and brings it crashing down onto the upper back of Baird breaking it in half in the process. BJ then drops to his knees rolls Baird over and again goes for a cover 1.…2... Baird Just gets a shoulder up again.)
LP: "Another near fall, Baird needs to right this sinking ship and in a hurry or he is going to be DOA."
FJ: "It cant end yet no one is even bleeding."
LP: "Blood does not make a match Frank."
FJ: "Says you."
(BJ is quickly back to his feet and does not seem to be favouring his knee anymore. He quickly pulls Baird up and backs him up and leans him against the ropes. BJ then hit’s the far ropes and charges towards Baird, but Baird almost out of instinct ducks and sends BJ hurdling over the top and crashing down hard to the floor. Baird remains on one knee momentarily before he grabs another steel chair and steps to the apron and turns to BJ who is beginning to get up. Baird leaps and drives the top of the chair into the back of BJ’s neck. BJ drops and Baird lands and drops the chair. He then quickly pulls BJ to his feet and forces him backwards slamming his lower back right into the barrier. Baird then takes a step back and sends BJ over the barrier into the crowd.)
LP: "Oh my, here we go out into no mans land, this one is about to get very interesting."
FJ: "Yes, come on boys tear this building down."
(Baird picks the steel chair up again and heads towards the barrier where BJ has just made it back to his feet. Baird raises the chair high into the air and begins to bring it down but before he can BJ nails him with a hard right hand right in the stomach which causes Baird to lower the chair. BJ then fires off a couple of right hands and proceeds to pull Baird over the barrier with him. Baird gets back to his feet and the two begin to trade shots as the move through the screaming crowd. Eventually the reach a door way at the back of the arena. BJ slams Baird’s head into the door and then kicks the door open and tosses Baird through. The men are now in a hallway leading to the locker room area.)
LP: "This could get nasty there is no padding back there at all."
FJ: "Just what I want."
(BJ scoops up Baird and the two begin to move down the hall until they come to another door. BJ throws Baird through the door and follows him, and the men are now in the parking garage. BJ slams Baird’s head into the hood of a black Cadillac leaving a round dent in the hood. BJ then backs Baird off and throws him head first through the drivers side window and Glass flies everywhere.)
FJ: "No, damnit, that’s my Car, those bastards, I am all for pain and blood, but not at the expense of my Car, Someone better be paying for this."
(Baird falls back out of the car and as he falls to the pavement we can see the pieces of broken glass mixed in to the massive amount of blood that now resides on his face. Black Jack looks down at the battered Baird with a smile and quickly drops onto him for a cover the ref who has just made it into the parking lot runs over and starts the count 1.…2.… Baird again just gets a shoulder up.)
LP: "My god, how did that man kick out, he has to be nearly dead."
FJ: "How can you think about this match when you just saw what happened to my car."
LP: "These things happen Frank, I am sure you will live, we have a job to do."
(BJ looks to the roof in disbelief and begins to pull Baird to his feet, but Baird some how manages to nail BJ with a punishing low blow which drops BJ to the pavement. Both men are down, BJ on his back and Baird on one knee. Baird manages to pull himself up, and takes a moment to wipe the blood and glass from his eyes. He then grabs BJ and pulls him to his feet and begins to drag him to another door which he pulls open and tosses BJ through. Baird then moves through the door himself and they two men are back out on the arena floor at the very back by the concession stands. Baird grabs a hold of BJ and smashes his face through the glass side of the popcorn stand. BJ falls to the floor and popcorn begins to pour out all over the floor. Baird picks up a handful of the popcorn sticks it in his mouth makes a disgusted face and then spit’s the half chewed popcorn into the now bloody face of BJ who is laid out on the floor. Baird then drops on top and cover 1.…2.… Black Jack gets a shoulder up just before the three.)
LP: "That was sick, Baird just through Black Jack right through that popcorn machine."
FJ: "Yeah that’s all well and good, but what about my….."
LP: "I don’t care about your damn car, the fans don’t care about your damn car, just call the match."
(Baird glares are the ref thinking he may have counted a bit slowly. But he quickly turns his attention back to his opponent who has begun to roll over. Baird pulls BJ back to his feet and tosses him into a near by brick wall. BJ again falls to the mat and Baird heads back through the door. Moments later he emerges once again with a 20 foot ladder in hand. Baird is in the process of setting the ladder up when out of nowhere BJ runs and drops kicks the ladder back into Baird knocking him down. BJ himself is down for a moment before he climbs to his feet and heads to another concession stand selling replica AWA title belts. BJ tosses all the merchandise on the table to the floor and drags the table over to when Baird is down. BJ lifts Baird to his feet and quickly drops him again with the Ace of Spades.)
LP: "Ace of Spade, this one is over, Black Jack just hit’s the Ace of Spades."
FJ: "I have to agree with you there Porter, Baird is done."
(Black Jack however does not seem to be done, he quickly lays Baird out on the table and sets the 20 foot ladder up and begins to climb. He reaches the top and turns to Baird who is still out cold on the table. The crowd is in a frenzy awaiting this 20 foot leap but BJ turns away from Baird to face the railing. He then climbs to the top of the ladder and jumps to grab the railing of the second deck of the stadium. BJ pulls himself up and stands on the cement portion of the railing.)
LP: "NO way, don’t do it Black Jack, this is suicide."
FJ: "DO IT, KILL HIM!"
LP: "LOOK OUT!!!!!!"
(Black Jack leaps from the nearly thirty foot railing and completes a 450 splash through Baird causing the table to shatter into a thousand pieces. The force of the landing causes BJ to roll away but just he manages to keep an arm over Baird and the ref gets down amongst the carnage for the 1.….2.….3!!!!!!)
LP: "Black Jack has done it, he is the new Hardcore Champion."
FJ: "That might have been the craziest move I have ever seen Porter, I think they are both dead."
LP: "Black Jack just showed how much he is willing to sacrifice to achieve his goals. That was sick, both men are going to need medical attention."
(Both men are down and out as the EMT’s rush the scene. They quickly separate the men and begin to go to work on them. They load Baird onto a stretcher and are about to do the same to BJ when he regains Consciousness. He looks around and hears his music playing and at the same time the ref has made his way through the crowd with the Hardcore Title. BJ slowly manages to get to a seated position where the red hands him his Hardcore Title. BJ looks at it and then at Baird on the stretcher and is assisted to his feet where a couple of AWA officials help him to the backstage area.)
(We cut backstage to a locker room door with Jeff Christianson written on it. The we see Fish walk in front of it wearing his Intercontinental Championship belt on his shoulder. Fish knocks then lets him self in. Jeff is tapping his hands and immediately stands up and talks to Fish in a stern voice.)
Jeff: "What the hell are you doing in here?"
Fish: "I’m sick of it Jeff, I’m sick of you talking down to me and acting like your really in a league above me, do you actually believe that?"
Jeff: "No, I don’t believe that, I know that now get out of here before I call security."
Fish: " I’ll leave when I’m finished Jeff, you know and I know and ALL these people know (Cheers for the arena) that on a different night, we’re I hadn’t already wrestled two matches I would have beat you and I would be the one facing John Williams tonight."
Jeff: "You can think that all you want Fishy, but the truth of the matter is that at King of the Kage I made you submit, and that’s why I’m the one in the main event and your not."
Fish: "Your right Jeff, but all that means is that if you do beat John Williams tonight and become the World Champion, I’ll be the first in line expecting a title shot."
Jeff: "I’ll keep that in mind."
(Fish starts to walk away and then stops and looks back.)
Fish: "Oh, by the way, good luck."
(Fish exits the room as the shot cuts back to Larry and Frank)
LP: "And now it is time for the Final Encounter."
FJ: "What exactly are the rules for this match?"
LP: "Simple. General Manager Ted Goldstein is banned from the arena, and the match takes place in his office."
(Just as Larry finishes his sentence, we see Michael Stevens walk in Ted Goldstein’s office. He closes the door behind him. All of a sudden Fury busts through the door. Michael Stevens turns around, just to be tackled on the floor. Fury begins punching away and Michael Stevens, who shoves Fury off. The both quickly get to their feet. They give a quick glare to each other, and then lock up. Michael Stevens knees Fury in the stomach. Now Michael Stevens elbows the back of Fury's neck. Fury drops to the floor.)
LP: "This has been nothing short of a brawl."
FJ: "Yeah, but it's still missing something."
(Michael Stevens drops his knee on Fury's neck now. And he drops another knee on his neck. And then another. Now he picks Fury up. Fury hits Michael Stevens with a straight right hand. Then Fury hits Michael Stevens with a left. Michael Stevens swings for a big haymaker, but Fury uses his speed and agility to duck under, and shoves Michael Stevens up against the door. Fury backs off a little, walking towards the desk of Ted Goldstein’s. Michael Stevens charges Fury, who drops down to the ground and connects with a drop toe hold bouncing Michael Stevens head off of the corner of Ted Goldstein’s desk.)
FJ: "That's the something it was missing."
LP: "Really, do you love Hardcore wrestling that much?"
FJ: "Of course I do... The blood makes the matches more exciting."
(Michael Stevens begins picking himself up off the ground. Fury seems to be waiting for him. Stevens turns around and Fury connects with a dropkick, knocking Stevens into the wall.)
LP: "He almost knocked down the picture!"
(We now see the picture of Ted Goldstein in his boxers. We hear Fury say, "Ted Goldstein’s wife makes Stevens look attractive. We now see Fury pick up Michael Stevens, but Stevens prepared for this, as he reaches his vertical basis, hits the ole trick knee low blow. Before Fury could drop to the ground, Stevens quickly turns around and connects with a beautiful DDT. Stevens quickly back to his feet, pulling Fury up. He applies a headlock to Fury. We see Fury getting weaker as the hold progresses.)
FJ: "Come on Stevens, stop playing games. Throw him through a wall!"
LP: "It's still called wrestling."
FJ: "We'll see plenty of this in the Main Event... We won't get to see someone go through a wall."
(We now see Stevens get into a comfort zone, which allows Fury to slip out of Steven's headlock, and Fury quickly drops to his knees and pulls Steven's legs out from under him. Stevens quickly hits the floor, but just as quickly returns to his feet. Fury is now looking at the desk. Stevens walks up behind him, but Fury brings his leg up, and connects with a low blow of his own. Stevens seems to be in a state of shock as Fury grabs a briefcase off of Ted Goldstein’s desk and turns around and swings it at Michael Stevens face. Stevens falls flat on the ground. Fury goes for the first pin attempt of the match. One... Two... Thr. Stevens kicks out.)
LP: "Fury actually trying to win this match."
FJ: "I think he just did that out of instinct."
LP: "Really, it looked like he really wanted out of this match."
FJ: "Why? He has the upper hand now. He needs to take the ball and roll with it, otherwise Steven's will capitalize on this rookie mistake."
LP: "That could be true."
(Fury makes it to his feet. Stevens is on his knees. Fury walks away from the desk, towards an area with an end table, a recliner, and two couches. Stevens now on his feet, walks over towards Fury, but Fury meets him with a straight right hand. Stevens throws a left. Fury throws a right. Stevens throws a left. All punches connecting. Fury throws another right, this time, Stevens ducks under and catches Fury with a kidney punch. He quickly gets behind Fury, and connects with a dragon suplex through the end table. Stevens crawls on top for his first pinfall attempt. One... Two... And Fury kicks out.)
LP: "Another near fall."
FJ: "A little to near for me."
(Stevens now walks back towards the door of Ted Goldstein’s office, to get a Canadian flag on a pole. That is hanging near the door way. Fury has begun to crawl over the ground, finally getting to his feet, with the help of Ted Goldstein’s desk. Fury finally stands up, just to be hit across the back with the flag pole. Stevens drops the pole, and pulls the flag off. He now begins choking Fury with the flag. We hear a huge chorus of boos for Michael Stevens as he uses the Canadian flag to his advantage. He stops choking Fury, but then takes his finger and gouges the eyes of Fury, causing a very deep scratch under the eye. Fury's head slams on the desk, right on some papers that may have been important.)
LP: "Michael Stevens will do anything for this victory."
FJ: "And I'm loving every minute of it!"
(We now see Stevens picking Fury up, he attempts to body slam Fury across Ted Goldstein’s desk, but Fury drops over Stevens back. Stevens turns around and gets dropkicked over the desk. Fury now backs up to a wall, to take a quick breather while Stevens stands up. Stevens, now up, begins to run at Fury. Stevens now dives as if he is going to shoulder block Fury, but Fury ducks a little, and grabs Stevens by his stomach while running and giving a hellacious belly to belly suplex through the wall. We see Stevens crumple up. We hear the crowd chant Holy Shit in the background.)
LP: "Holy Shi-"
FJ: "Don't finish that. WHAT A MOVE!"
(We now see Fury attempt to crawl over Michael Stevens. He covers him with one arm. One... Two... Thr. Stevens barely kicks out. Fury looks very frustrated as he attempts to pick himself up off the floor one more time. Fury, now on his feet, begins to pick up Michael Stevens who looks to be very out of it. Fury pulls Steven's over to Goldstein’s desk. We see Steven's throw a haymaker which Fury ducks under, but this time Fury German Suplex's Stevens on the desk. Fury rolls Stevens over, and makes another pinfall attempt. One... Two... Three...)
LP: "This match is finally over."
FJ: "They could have both went longer than this... To think this is the most Hardcore action we've saw all night."
LP: "I think these two both gave it their all. The fatigue just set in quickly on Fury, but he was able to use the wall to his advantage on Stevens."
FJ: "This means the General Manager is now allowed back into the building."
(With the match over, and Fury bleeding from his eye and holding his neck. We see Ted Goldstein run and look at the destruction in his office. He sees the Canadian flag in the floor. He sees his end table broken. He then turns to see a huge hole in his wall. We hear Ted Goldstein yell.)
TG: "Fury, I WILL GET EVEN!"
(We see the rage fill his face.)
TG: "I have something big planned for tonight."
(The scene fades back to the announcers as Fury looks like he doesn't really care what Ted Goldstien had to say.)
LP: "Ted Goldstein doesn’t look a happy person, but without further delay it’s time to pass you back over to Herb and Mark for the AWA United States Title match"
==========================================================
Bryan Peek -vs- Evan Spire match will follow shortly
==========================================================
LP: "and next up…the ladder match."
FJ: "What an intro."
LP: "In all seriousness Frank…it is the ladder match, allow me."
FJ: "Do the honors."
LP: "15 feet to climb, the golden Intercontinental Championship hanging above, hanging in the balance of two men fighting for glory and fighting for what they believe in against one another. The Challenger, Snake, feared and hated, a ruthless athlete inside the ring and the Champion, the AWA’s very own super-hero fighting to protect his gold and to do what’s right by the fans. Two men, one belt, one ladder, one match. One match, and it tells it all."
FJ: "Almost got me choked up there Porter…almost."
LP: "It’s time."
("Right Now" by KoRn hit’s the speakers and Snake emerges from the back. Walking slow and steady to the ring, a strut to his manner that shows ruthlessness as the fans jeer him he just nudges it off as he acknowledges there presence and looks at the ladder in front of him. He walks around it and stares at it then to the ring and through the ropes as he goes to
his respective corner and awaits his opponent. The arena goes blue and eerie music hit’s the PA as the crowd instantly erupts with a huge cheer and Reel Big Fish’s "Trendy" starts playing as water shoots up from the stage and The Fish dead sprints down the ramp to the ladder, fans cheering him on. He stops and looks it up and down, then side-steps around it and slaps
his fans hands to the ring then slides under the ropes and into the ring to his feet as the crowd is still loud and the arena slowly begins to fade while the two competitors stare each other down, then look up to the belt high above the ring.)
LP: "This is it Frank, here it goes."
FJ: "Oh shut-up already Porter, the bell rang."
(On that note the bell sounds and both men storm to the center of the ring and Fish is the one to start things off with punches upward to the face of the much bigger Snake. He hits him with 5 consecutive right hands that just phase Snakes face a smidgen and then Snake pie-faces Fish backward. Fish stumbles back unbalanced and then charges Snake with a jumping right to the face that causes Snake to stumble back. Fish kicks his leg and Snake grabs it and then The Fish hit’s a big left and Snake is backed up in the corner. Fish starts to deliver striking blows of his shoulder into Snakes abdomen and Snake clubs hard right on the back of Fish and it instantly stops him in his tracks and Snake delivers a huge knee straight up into the face of Fish that send shim up and back, landing hard on the mat, grabbing his face.)
LP: "Snake just took Fishes head off with that knee."
FJ: "He just knocked Fish back into breathing air and not water!"
( Fish is on his side, grabbing his face as Snake stands over him and picks him up off the ground in a scoop slam then drops him face first over the top turnbuckle as Fishes head bounces off and he stumbles back into the chest of Snake face first. Snake forearm smashes his face and Fish lands back against the corner and then gets a knee to the stomach. Snake rams another knee, delivering his whole body into it, then another knee. Fish seemingly being crushed by Snake’s entire body. Snake chops Fish hard and then whips him across the ring into the other turnbuckle and chases after him with a huge clothesline, clobbering him down to the ground. Fish sitting on the mat against the ropes, dazed.)
FJ: "That’s the way to do it Snake, smother him."
LP: "Snake is taking total control, doing exactly that Frank…smothering the Fish to nothing, early on."
(Snake holds his boot straight into the neck of Fish and steps up, choking him with it, Fish kicking his legs out trying to breathe and then Snake takes it off and kicks him in the face. Walking back to the ring to the boos of the fans as he laughs at the beating he is
dishing out. He looks outside the ring and sees the ladder he walks over to the ropes and slides out of the ring, heading straight for the ladder taking his sweet time has Fish lays in the ring on the turnbuckles. But he begins to stir, slowly getting up but to no avail as Snake has already folded the ladder, But he climbs up to his feet and Snake starts heading back to the ring he gets close and out of no where Fish springboards over the top rope with a front flip crashing into the ladder and Snake under it hard. The fans go nuts)
LP: "My god Fish just sacrificed himself for that move."
FJ: "Fishes must not have any brains."
LP: "But they sure do have guts."
(The fans cheer huge, Snake laying on the hard ground surface and Fish trying to pick himself up from that manoeuvre. Claps are heard around the arena and Fish starts to get up to his feet, he looks at the fallen Snake and picks the ladder up off of him. He leans it up against the ring and grabs Snake punching him a few times in the face and then whipping him against the ladder as his back crashes against it. Fish charges at him and Snake moves out of the way as Fish jumps toward him, catching himself on the ladder and spinning off with a cross body planting Snake hard on the arena floor. Fish springs back to his feet and Snake writhes in pain.)
LP: "Fish is really coming back with some offence in this one."
FJ: "Who’d think someone so little could take down a tree."
LP: "All this time of watching Fish and you say that now?"
FJ: "yeah, but in a shorter time frame I realized how dominant Snake really is."
LP: "That’s something Frank"
( Fish goes underneath the ring, looking for something.)
LP: "This is very uncharacteristic of The Fish."
FJ: "He’s cheating!"
LP: "There are no rules Frank, so its fitting."
(Fish climbs under the ring for a few seconds, and Snake is getting to his feet, all of a sudden we see a bowling pin come out from under the ring. Fishes hand is on the other end of it and he gets to his feet, decking the unexpected Snake right in the face as he falls back down to the outside floor.)
LP: "The bowling pin! Jerry Edwards memory lives on!"
FJ: "Who’s Jerry Edwards?"
LP: "The Fishes dear friend, who died at the hands of wrong doers in the ring."
FJ: "Oh…that’s deep…"
LP: "What a surprise Fish had for us there."
( Fish raises the bowling pin high in the air, and the crowd cheers loud. He grabs the ladder and pushes it into the ring and slides in afterwards. He stands up the ladder and places it directly under the belts and starts to climb, unknowing to Snake climbing into the ring. Fish is about halfway up before Snake charges the ladder and shoulder blocks it to do a 180 and Fish
falls off hard to his knees, Snake charges Fish and rams a foot directly into his face. Fish falls back and Snake picks him up to his feet throwing him up over his shoulder and slamming him hard back down with a huge let go spine buster. Snake grabs the ladder and folds it up standing right above Fish and smashing it into his ribs, not once, not twice but 3 times. And the hit’s a final devastating blow of it by jumping with all his force to.)
LP: "What a come back for Snake, powerfully hurting the Fish right here."
FJ: "It’s starting to get real nice and violent, oh how I like it. Snake brings it out in us all."
LP: "Speak for yourself Frank."
( Snake sets the ladder up in the corner, leaning it back into it and picks up the Fish in a bear hug. He squeezes hard, Fish screaming and trying to fight out of it, but his ribs and body are to battered from the assault. Fish still fights and Snake just shakes him and squeezes harder, he then charges the corner and rams Fish spine first into the ladder, Snake lets go and then clotheslines Fish, who is leaning right into the ladder, Fish crushed between the power of Snake
and the hard metal and steel of the ladder. Snake goes to the outside and under the ring, pulling out a table and setting it up at the foot of the ring by the entrance ramp. He goes back inside the ring and Grabs the Fish as the ladder falls under the ropes, seesawed out. He picks Fish up for a scoop slam and starts to walk toward the table but then Fish shakes out of it and kicks the back of Snakes legs, Snake turns around and Fish goes for a punch Snake blocks it and picks
Fish up for the Injection, he walks to the ladder and Injects Fish up and over and right onto the hard metal of the ladder as Fish slides down the angle and struggles in pain on the mat.)
LP: "What a sickening thud that made."
FJ: "My god that was great!"
( Snake kicks the downed Fish and Fish just starts to roll away as he is being kicked completely out of the ring toward the announce tables. Fish land son the outside floor and Snakes dusts off his hands in an arrogant manner.)
LP: "What a cocky monster. I don’t care if he has things won, there is no reason for that."
FJ: "He had it won when he started the match, Snake is just being great now."
(Snake grabs the ladder and puts it under the belts setting it up perfectly as he now takes his time to the gold. Step by step, reaching his final step. Out of no where a chair hits snakes back and he goes down a few steps to gain his balance and The Fish springboards up and over the ropes in diagonal to the ladder and catches Snakes head, hitting the biggest floating neck breaker from ladder to mat in what might be AWA history. Both men collide with the mat and
Snakes neck feels the blow of it the worst.)
LP: "OH! Wow what a move that was! That might have been the biggest neck breaker I’ve ever seen."
FJ: "Why do I feel like I’ve heard that before…"
LP: "I can’t believe this, but your right…and Fish is getting up already!"
( Fish has put his hand on the second step of the ladder and is bringing himself up to his feet. The crowd is cheering him on as he is now on his knees and pulls himself all the way up. Snake is rolling to his stomach, getting up slowly, Fish starts to climb up and then looks at Snake he hops down and grabs Snakes head. He pushes Snake against the ropes and whips him around the ladder, on the return Snake is coming straight for the ladder but stop in his tracks relieved, then The Fish drop kicks the ladder right into the face of Snake and he falls out of the ring
hard to the outside surface and the 15foot ladder bounces off the ropes and to the other ropes
opposite, dangling on the edge. Fish crawls out from underneath the ladder and looks around, seeing nothing. Snake is on the outside and beginning to pull himself up on the apron Fish looks at the belt then at Snake and without hesitation bounces off the ropes and goes for an over the top rope suicide dive and gets a chair throw right in his face that sends him back to the ring and his head connects hard on the bottom of the ladder with the landing.)
LP: "Where did Snake get that chair! What a desperation manoeuvre that was, smart thinking on his part I’ll be honest."
FJ: "Well of course it was Porter."
LP: "Look at Fish, his blue mask is slowly turning red on the forehead."
( Fish is bleeding through the mask and Snake is getting back into the ring and mounting Fish, pummelling his forehead with hard fists. Snake pushes his forearm into the throat of Fish and chokes him with it then clubs him with it and stands up, going to pick up the chair that busted him wide open. He throws it on the mat next to Fish and picks him up putting him between his legs and setting him up for a power bomb. He goes for it but Fish punches him in the face and Snake stumbles backwards, Fish hurricanranas Snake up and out of the ring and he lands on the apron. Fish stands up and runs off the apron delivering a shooting star press from the ring to the floor right on Snake. They both feel the hurt and Fish clenches his stomach as Snake does the same.)
LP: "Fish is just full of counters in this match."
FJ: "Snake is just being sly."
LP: "Good excuse…"
( Fish lifts up Snake and throws him against the ring kicking him in the gut and forearm smashing him in the face. He goes for a whip to the steel steps but it’s countered and he gets sent to them but he counters that by jumping on them and consulting off only to be
caught on the shoulders of Snake. Snake turns around and charges at the poll but Fish wiggles off and pushes him face first into it and he connects hard. Fish lands on his feet and Snake lands sitting against the barricade, blood trickling down from his forehead. Fish charges at him and dropkicks him straight in the face and then gets back up to his feet, walking to the steps and picking them up struggling some as he carries them over to Snake who is now standing dazed.
Fish runs at Snake and decks him right in the forehead busting him open wider, blood now trickling down his face, getting redder. Fish throws the steps aside and gets back into the ring.)
LP: "Now Snake is a bloody mess to."
FJ: "What Chaos it has become."
LP: "What a call by Frank."
FJ: "Quiet you."
(Fish sets up the ladder and starts to climb it. Slow and struggling, clenching his back and ribs as he makes his way up. The crowd is going crazy for him, he’s reaching the top. And his hands is now touching the loop holding the belts. Snake takes the ladder out from under him though and Fish grabs the loop with one hand and holds himself up. The fans gasp and Snake looks up at him and kicks the ladder away. Fish drops down and hurricanrana’s Snake and Snake rolls out of the ring once more.)
LP: "What a move!"
FJ: "Why does that always send him out of the ring, that’s twice now!"
LP: "What a match."
( Fish gets up and goes over to the outside ring apron and looks at the rising Snake. He runs and leaps off and gets caught in a power bomb and bombed right onto the arena floor with a sickening thud. Snake yells and slams his hand down pointing at the downed Fish. He calls for an end and goes under the ring pulling out a table. He pulls it out and sets it up right at the ring next to Fish. He looks down at Fish and picks him up he sets him between his legs and calls for another power bomb.)
LP: "I think he’s trying to kill him."
FJ: "You mean he’s trying to put on a good show."
LP: "No, I mean he’s going to incapacitate The Fish."
( Snake grabs The Fish and lifts him up for it but he gets overzealous and Fish grabs the middle ring rope and pulls himself up onto the apron and gets back into the ring. Snake turns around and slides under the ropes, Fish is already bouncing off the ropes and slides under Snakes legs and gets quick to his feet and Snake spins around and gets met by a climb-up énziguri that claps around the arena and Snake falls face first to the mat. Fish grabs the ladder and brings it to the corner he sets it up and climbs up the ropes slowly behind it. He looks down and then at all the fans and grabs the top of the ladder.)
FJ: "He just sailed!"
(What Frank was talking about his the fact that The Fish just bounced up off the ropes and Leap frogged over the ladder and delivering flipping leg drop right across the chest of Snake.)
LP: "I hope flash photography was working there!"
(Fish is grasping his leg but getting himself up to his feet. He moves Snake away and sets up the ladder in the center of the ring. He leans against it, totally sore and exhausted and starts to pull himself up. One step at a time, Snake is beginning to start and stand-up however and is now pulling himself up to his feet and on the ladder as well. Being taller he starts to catch up with Fish and Fish gives a straight punch to his face but Snake just throws one back. Fish tries to grab Snake and get to his side but it doesn’t work and Snake grabs him by the neck and choke slams him from the ladder to the mat with force as he jumps down soon after.)
LP: "Snake has been utterly physically dominating and destructive in this match-up."
FJ: "He certainly has.."
( Snake grabs the steel chair and whacks it one on the ring winding up. Fish hardly moving much on the ground. He goes over to him and raises it high looking at all the fans and smiling with blood on his face and he swings it right on the Fish but he kicks it back in his face. And Snake drops the chair and falls into the ropes. Fish rolls over and grabs the chair and stands up, whacking it right across the back of Snake and he arches back and walks away but Fish isn’t done, he rams it into the stomach of Snake as well and then raises up for a big clear head shot but Snake boots him right in the face and sends Fish back to the mat. He grabs the chair and unfolds it setting it up real nice then picks Fish up and lifts him up for another inject, onto the chair now, instead of his knee. He spins Fish off and Fish lands on his feet and sides kicks Snake right in the face as he was bent down. Snake pulls Snake in and goes for the DSD # 2 onto the
unfolded chair but Snake out powers him and whips Fish into the ropes, Fish runs into them stomach first and gets caught up, Snake charges him and Fish ducks and lifts up delivering a huge backbody drop to Snake up and over the ropes through the wooden table!)
LP: "Just listen to the fans, it says it all."
FJ: "Carnage!"
( The fans are inciting a Holy Shit chant as the replay of that last series of counters and table smashing is shown on the big screen. Fish has now made his way to the ladder and begun ascending to the top. He reaches the top of the ladder and pulls down his Intercontinental Championship as the fans erupt in cheers and applause.)
LP: "Fish did it, he retained and beat Snake!"
FJ: "I hate the little guy but he did."
LP: "What an incredible match up, both men deserve the utmost gratitude for there performance. And what a performance it was."
(Fish is standing high on the ladder and holding up the title with one hand high in the air.)
FJ: "Another awesome match, but now it’s time for the first of AWA Classic’s two Main Events here tonight and it’s over to Herb and Mark for the first of those two matches…"
HS: "Thanks Frank. Let me tell you that this feud between Nightmist and Brian Williams has been brewing ever since King Of The Kage, where Nightmist beat Brian Williams in the Final to become King of the Kage…"
MK: "Hang on Herb, I’m hearing that Ted Goldstein and Dave Santini are on there way out to the ring!"
HS: "The Draft Pick!"
MK: "Finally we will get to find out!"
HS: "That we will, but personally I’m surprised that these two men have actually been able to come to an agreement. Don’t forget that Santini screwed over Goldstein and Mortis Valley when he deserted Xplosion to join Shock many months ago"
MK: "That’s all in past now, Herb. Don’t forget, both these men are businessmen"
(Ted Goldstein and Dave"The Rave" Santini both make their way down towards the ring, before Ted Goldstein climbs into the ring, shortly followed by Dave Santini. Goldstein holds the mic up to his mouth and begins to talk…)
GOLDSTEIN: "Ladies and Gentleman. Earlier tonight, my comrade here Dave Santini announced the fact that 96 hours ago, the AWA Board of Directors appointed him as the new Commissioner of Shock. Now shortly after that appointment, myself and Dave Santini met up to discuss the details of a Draft Pick between the two brands of Shock and Xplosion. Those details will be announced right here…right now. Dave Santini, over to you…"
SANTINI: Thanks Ted. The Draft Pick will work as follows. Three members of the current Xplosion Roster will be traded to AWA Shock and three members of the current AWA Shock roster will be traded to Xplosion. Those trades will take place immediately after tonight’s show has been concluded and therefore all six men will make their debut with their new brand as of the respective Shock and Xplosion Shows next week. If any of the trades include a current Champion, then the Title will be traded along with the Superstar!!"
HS: "Wow, this is huge, Mark! We could see titles traded here tonight as well!"
SANTINI: "Ted, do you want to start with the details of the first pick?"
GOLDSTEIN: "The first member of Shock that will become a member of the Xplosion Roster will be…Remy Lebeau!"
SANTINI: "…and in exchange, we will see the following Superstar traded from Xplosion to Shock and that man is…COLIN BAIRD!!"
HS: "The former AWA Hardcore Champion is now no longer an AWA Xplosion Superstar!"
GOLDSTEIN: "The second member of Shock that will become a member of the Xplosion Roster will be…The former AWA Television Champion…THUNDERRRRRRRRR!!!"
FJ: "A real up-and-coming Superstar there, Lance…and now a member of the Xplosion Roster!"
SANTINI: "…and going in the other direction will be Xplosion’s own…JOHN"FURY" HEIGHTS!!
MK: "Fury, involved in a pulsating and brutal match-up with Michael Stevens earlier tonight will now be a member of Shock"
HS: "but what will this mean for Toxic Melody, Mark?"
MK: "Who?"
HS: "Toxic Melody…ohhhhh, forget it!"
GOLDSTEIN: "…and the third and final member of Shock that will become a member of the Xplosion Roster will be…Another former AWA Television Champion…DRAVEN SHADOWSSSSSSS!!!"
LP: "That’s two former AWA Television Champions that will now ply their trade on the Xplosion side of the American Wrestling Alliance and either of those two men could have walked away with the Television Title around their waist earlier tonight!"
FJ: "and if that had of happened, the AWA Television Title would also have been with Xplosion as well and now for Shock’s final trade…"
SANTINI: "…and the third and final member of Xplosion that will become a member of the AWA Shock Roster will be…"
(Santini pauses briefly)
SANTINI: "None other than the former AWA ………………. And ……………. Champion…"The Entity, The Beast"…SNAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
HS: "Wow. Toxic Melody are back together on AWA Shock!"
MK: "That’s a huge coup for Shock. "The Superstar" Colin Baird, John"Fury" Heights and Snake are now all members of AWA Shock!!"
FJ: "With Remy Lebeau and two former AWA Television Champions going in the opposite direction in the form of Draven Shadows and Thunder!"
HS: "Well, that’s the Draft Pick over with and now it’s time to get on with the action…"
MK: "It sure is…and you know what’s up next"
HS: "I do, Mark and what a hellacious night we’ve had so far!"
MK: "Amen, to that brother. It’s been a war zone out there… I’ve loved it!"
HS: "Let’s recap 2004 Classic shall we?"
MK: "Right, for the superior brand, Shock, we’ve seen the crowning of the Tag Champions, the NPD!"
HS: "We’ve seen Bryan Peek defend his US title in a STELLAR match against Evan Spire. And Bryan’s brother, Andy, defend his Television Title in a four way."
MK: "We saw DAVE ‘THE RAVE’ SANTINI make the BIGGEST announcement in SHOCK history!"
HS: "That’s right, and what a doozy it was! After his malicious assault on George Slater, Dave Santini re-declared himself Commissioner of Shock!"
MK: "I was referring to the fact that Draven Shadows is FINALLY off this program!"
HS: "Haha, very funny… however, what Mark is referring to is the trade that was just announced between Shock and Xplosion, sending Shock superstars Draven Shadows and Thunder to Xplosion for Snake, John Fury and Colin Baird!"
MK: "Enough blabbering, because the best is yet to come! In fact, it’s coming… NEXT!"
HS: "That’s right, the MATCH OF THE NIGHT! World Champion Nightmist defends his title against the Monster known as Brian Williams!"
MK: "IN A THREE STAGES OF HELL MATCH!"
HS: "For those of you who don’t know, a Three Stages of Hell Match is a best of three falls match. However, there are several… factors… involved. For starters, all three matches are Hell in a Cell style. That means no escape, and, more importantly, no interference."
MK: "And, as the name suggests, each fall counts as a separate stage. The first match is a regular cage match that can be won by pinfall, submission or knockout."
HS: "After a winner is decided in the first match, each fighter will get a two minute rest while three tables, a ladder and three chairs are carried into the ring. Then a TLC match is held, inside the cage! This time, the winner can only come from a pinfall. And, just to clarify, there will be no referee inside the cage, but, rather, two referees will be watching closely from the outside."
MK: "And the third match, should it be needed, is a HARDCORE Match! Anything goes and the only way to win is to be the first man to escape the ring through the single door. If a third match IS needed, then there will be a five minute period between the second and third match."
HS: "While the cage is being lowered and assembled, let’s take a look at the violent history between these two men."
(A six minute video package is shown eclipsing the feud these two have undergone over the past few months including Nightmist’s, then Haunt, win over Brian Williams at King of the Kage, then the brutal triple threat match were Nightmist won the title from Jayson Price and several of their bloody confrontations since. The camera then focuses on the ominous fifteen foot cage that consumes the ring.)
HS: "That cage has become a thing of lore… only the bravest… or most foolish men dare enter it’s confines. It has taken body and blood from all who have entered it. It truly is HELL!"
MK: "I know, Herb, and I can’t wait!"
HS: "Well, wait no more, Mark, because here comes the challenger!"
(The lights go out. As the ominous opening chords of Metallica’s ‘Unforgiven’ begin to build, after a long pause, a single blue light falls on the ramp way. Smoke billows from the entrance creating an ominous haze that hides the 7 footer, all we see is his silhouette walking down the ramp. The light leads Williams slightly so we never actually see him until the lights come back on when he has reached the outside of the cage.)
MK: "Well, I’m surprised."
HS: "Why?"
MK: "Usually the fans are booing Williams, but this time, they’re cheering him."
HS: "He’s Canadian, and Canadians always love their own, no matter how ruthless they can be. Besides, they know a good match is about to go down."
(Williams eyes the cage as the fans are electric. They cheer even louder when Williams dejects them, but he shrugs it off. A sinister grin comes across his face as he walks up the steps and the trembling referee opens the cage door for him. The seven foot monster has to duck under the doorframe to enter.)
HS: "That man is pure Hell. This is the only match that befits him. But I don’t think even he can tame this steel beast."
MK: "No man can… but Williams isn’t a man, he’s a monster."
HS: "The same could be said for the champion as well. Nightmist is certainly no man… he’s a lunatic!"
(Flames shoot from the entrance ramp toward the ceiling as sirens wail throughout the arena. ‘Ambitions of a Rider’ by 2 Pac begins as Nightmist slowly walks out dressed in black military fatigues, mask, and spit polished boots. He has a torch in hand that he slowly raises in front of him before leaning back and spewing forth a mist into the flame effectively blowing fire in front of him. Williams isn’t impressed, but the fans sitting in the front row are. Nightmist then glares at Williams and the two lock eyes. There gaze never ceases as Nightmist slowly climbs up the steps and the referee lets him in. Nightmist takes a step into the ring and pauses before Williams, not saying a word. The two stare each other up and down as the fans roar with excitement.)
HS: "I can’t believe these two aren’t beating the hell out of each other already!"
MK: "I think they have some kind of sadistic mutual respect for one another."
(Nightmist hands the referee his title, who holds it up to Williams. Brian Williams glares at it almost empathetically, like it was a sick child. Nightmist reacts, almost instinctively, and decks Williams hard with a right. The referee high tails it out of there, title in hand, and slams the door shut behind him.)
HS: "Oh, looks like Nightmist couldn’t wait any longer!"
MK: "HAHA DIE DIE DIE!"
(Williams grows wide eyed at Nightmist, as he takes another shot. Nightmist lands two more before Williams uses his strength and shoves him off.)
HS: "That is one advantage Williams has going into tonight… he’s much bigger than Nightmist, and harder to take down."
MK: "The bigger they are… the harder they hit you!"
(Nightmist sprawls backward and leaves himself momentarily open for a huge clubbing chop from Williams. Nightmist takes the blow, however, and unloads with more rights onto Williams. Soon, it becomes a slugfest, with both men swinging for the fences at one another. Nightmist is quicker, but Williams takes his blows for the most part. Eventually, Brian connects with one HUGE right hand that sends Nightmist immediately to the mat.)
MK: "Did you see that blow! Williams nearly took Nightmist’s head off!"
HS: "Nightmist just got dropped quicker than a dollar at a strip club!"
(Williams roars and then stomps Nightmist in the stomach. He then laughs and leaps into the air, both feet aimed directly at Nightmist’s face. Thud… the sound of Williams’ 350 pound frame hitting the mat. Nightmist rolls to his feet, quickly, and shakes his head in frustration. Williams, like a bull seeing red, charges at Nightmist full speed. The Champion, however, sidesteps and then whips Williams hard into the steel cage. The big man nearly leaves a dent in the side of the steel as he lumbers backward, his eyes rolled up inside his head.)
HS: "OH, Brian Williams just connected face first into the unforgiving steel!"
MK: "He damn nearly went through it!"
(Williams stumbles around to face Nightmist, where he is immediately met with a big right hand from the World Champ. Nightmist follows with another that forces Williams to take an uneasy step back. He then reaches out and, in an instant, flips Williams over with a belly to belly suplex.)
HS: "For the first time, the monster hits the mat."
MK: "Nightmist means business!"
(Nightmist begins cursing at Williams and he leans over and slaps Williams across the face.)
MK: "Uh oh, not a good move."
HS: "I agree."
(This gets Williams’ attention and he reaches out with a massive hand and grabs Nightmist around the throat, climbing to his feet simultaneously. He then latches on with his other hand and lifts the World Champion off the mat into the air.)
HS: "Williams is choking the life out of Brian Williams!"
MK: "He’s turning all kinds of blue."
(The referees on the outside, however, bark out orders for Williams to release the hold. He does so when they finally threaten to disqualify him. Nightmist sprawls across the mat, having been simply dropped by Williams, and clutches his throat in agony. Williams then extends out his leg and chokes Nightmist with his boot. Again, the referees order for Williams to release, this time he’s a bit more adherent.)
MK: "Williams is gonna choke the life out of Nightmist. What a strategy!"
HS: "He’s not giving Nightmist a moment to even catch his breath."
(Williams bends over and chokes Nightmist with his bare hand, and then, in one move, lifts him off the mat to his feet. Brian then guides Nightmist by the throat toward the nearest turnbuckle and shoves him into it. Instantly, his long legs are stretched out onto Nightmist’s throat. Nightmist painfully gasps for breath when Williams finally releases. Williams then grabs Nightmist by the wrist and whips him extremely hard into the opposite turnbuckle. Nightmist lands chest first and then bounces back, only to be knocked flat on his face by a short arm clothesline from Williams.)
HS: "Ooooh… and Williams is relentless! He has nothing but hate for the Champion."
MK: "I haven’t seen him this aggressive since Springs and Breaks… that doesn’t bode well for Nightmist."
HS: "Let’s hope to God we don’t have a similar ending."
MK: "I think it’s nearly inevitable in this type of match!"
(Brian Williams goes for a strong cover and the referees count ONE! TWO! TH – Nightmist barely kicks out. Williams covers again to the same result.)
HS: "Two near falls there, Nightmist is nearly out."
MK: "Nightmist is NEVER out!"
(Williams laughs as he stands to his feet. He then glares menacingly at Nightmist and reaches down and grabs his legs. The crowd cheers anticipating the next move, but Nightmist squirms to free himself before Williams can start to lock in the Struggle Within. Instead the Champion desperately kicks out, landing one to Williams gut and causing him to release his leg. Frustrated, Williams leans over to try again, but this time Nightmist kicks him square in the face, sending him backward.)
HS: "You’re right… the World Champion is fighting back!"
MK: "He’s so predictably diligent."
HS: "Or stupidly stubborn."
(Nightmist rolls to his feet in time to catch Williams off guard with a Mafia kick to the Toronto Native’s stomach. Williams tries whipping Nightmist into the corner, but he counters and Williams is in the turnbuckle. Nightmist unloads with a hard stomp to Williams gut, followed by some hard rights, then another stomp with a combat boot.)
MK: "Someone sure lit the fire under Nightmist’s ass. Where is this coming from?"
HS: "Determination, Mark. That belt will give you strength you never knew you had."
(Suddenly, Williams lashes out and grabs Nightmist, twisting around and shoving him into the turnbuckle. He then connects with some hard close fisted punches to the head of the unsuspecting Champ. Nightmist, however, kicks Williams hard in the knee and then hops up onto the second turnbuckle. Williams flails at his knee and is unable to stop the flying clothesline from Nightmist that sends him to the mat.)
HS: "Nightmist goes airborne after the cheap shot kick to Williams’ knee cap."
MK: "Whatever… he just did what he had to do."
(Nightmist stomps at Williams for a moment and then reaches down and grabs the challenger’s leg. He rolls him over and then applies a Boston crab onto Williams. Williams grimaces in pain, but suddenly kicks his tree trunk sized legs out and Nightmist goes flying, his momentum carrying him over the ropes and head first into the steel cage. He barely gets his arms up to somewhat soften the intense blow.)
MK: "WHOA! Nightmist just landed HEAD FIRST into the steel cage! That is what this match is all about - TOTAL CARNAGE!"
HS: "Nightmist is out cold. Williams has nothing but opportunity to take. He’s only moments away from a one match lead."
(Williams lifts the near lifeless Nightmist off the ground and scoops him up with a side slam. He then climbs to his feet with his arm raised high, growling with intensity. He lifts Nightmist to his knee, slapping him in the back of the head. He then takes a step back and waits for the Champion to climb to his feet.)
HS: "What is Williams going to do here?"
MK: "Whatever it is, it doesn’t bode well for Nightmist!"
(As Nightmist hits his feet, Williams slams a huge palm across Nightmist’s throat, intending to execute a chokeslam. But Nightmist, desperately, lunges out, gouging Williams in the eye and raking him across the face. Williams releases and instinctively grabs at his eye. Nightmist then chops Williams across the throat and quickly lands a hip toss.)
MK: "Man, Nightmist just comes out of nowhere with this stuff!"
HS: "He’s the most determined man I’ve ever seen in an AWA ring. He never gives up."
MK: "But neither does Williams!"
HS: "All too true…"
(After the hip toss, Nightmist locks in a full Nelson on Williams. Williams, however, begins sprawling across the mat, and he slowly begins to climb to his feet. Nightmist doesn’t release the hold, though. Soon, Williams is to his feet, but Nightmist doesn’t release the hold, and has Williams hunched over. Instead he charges into the ropes, using Williams as a shield, and hits the steel cage, crushing Williams face into the steel. Williams springs off and Nightmist uses this momentum to toss him over his head with a full Nelson suplex, having to practically drop to the mat to get Williams all the way over.)
HS: "OH MY GOD! NIGHTMIST JUST SLAMMED WILLIAMS FACE FIRST INTO THE STEEL CAGE!
MK: "AND HE’S BUSTED OPEN! Nightmist has caused Williams to spill First Blood!"
HS: "Will it be Nightmist who takes the one match lead?"
(Nightmist screams loudly and begins stalking Williams, waiting for the behemoth to hit his feet. Williams sprawls across the mat for a few moments, blood splattering all over the mat. He has cuts across his face from the impact of the cage. As soon as he hits his feet, Williams is kicked in the stomach by Nightmist. However, before Nightmist can continue, Williams suddenly lashes out with a thrust to Nightmist’s already tender throat. Nightmist grasps at his throat, but is quick enough to duck the ensuing clothesline from Williams. He tries to land a side kick, but Williams side steps and lunges out for Nightmist. He picks him up off the mat and soon he is holding Nightmist high into the air with a Military Press.)
HS: "Brian Williams has switched to INTENSITY MODE! He’s lost it completely!"
MK: "What’s he gonna do?"
(Williams then tossed Nightmist directly into one of the walls of the steel cage. A hard CLANK is heard as Nightmist falls to the mat, stumbling through the ropes. He gets tangled up in the ropes as Williams looms over him. Williams then spits onto Nightmist’s face and begins to knee him in the head. After three knees, Williams steps back and Nightmist slumps down to mat, lifeless.)
HS: "This is just brutal… Williams is showing Nightmist what true Hell is."
MK: "It’s like Williams tasted his own blood and he became an actual monster."
HS: "Williams is still bleeding, however, I wonder how much he can bleed before exhaustion and lack of oxygen kicks in?"
MK: "I think he knows he has to end this quickly. He’s completely caught Nightmist off guard."
(Williams lifts Nightmist to his feet and then slings him back into the steel cage by the back of his neck. Brian Williams picks Nightmist up one final time and swears at him, before kicking him in the gut and then executing an implant DDT. Williams stands over Nightmist with a look of total inhumanity on his face. He then grabs Nightmist’s legs and soon has him locked into the Struggle Within.)
HS: "THE STRUGGLE WITHIN! Williams is going to end this BY SUBMISSION!"
MK: "Nightmist is powerless to stop him!"
(Nightmist screams in pain from the intensely painful move. The more he screams, the tighter Williams locks the move in and the further he leans back. Nightmist wails in pain as the fans are stunned silent.)
MK: "Nightmist can’t move, he doesn’t have the strength to power out."
HS: "The referee’s need to stop this, Nightmist is finished."
MK: "But look, he’s not giving up! Nightmist will NEVER give up!"
HS: "And look, William’s is getting pale… he’s losing too much blood. He doesn’t have much left in him either!"
MK: "This is intense!"
HS: "It’s a question of which of these men can hold out longer!"
(Nightmist screams in agony, but he refuses to give up. Williams struggles to lock the move in tighter, but as he does, blood continues to spew from his open wounds. It’s already discolored and Williams is turning paler. The fans roar loudly, some cheering for Williams others for Nightmist. A good half a minute goes by and neither man is refusing to recede. Finally, Nightmist can’t take it anymore and is forced to tap.)
HS: "NIGHTMIST IS TAPPING! NIGHTMIST IS TAPPING! BRIAN WILLIAMS WINS THE FIRST FALL!"
MK: "Unbelievable!"
HS: "EXACTLY!"
MK: "Get the referee in there, someone has to stop this madness!"
(Williams releases the hold and immediately collapses to the mat, in exhaustion. The referee’s rush the ring, as do EMT’s to check on both competitors. The two minute timer begins as three tables, a ladder and a whole menagerie of chairs are brought into the ring by attendants.)
HS: "Jesus, both of these men have beaten the Hell out of each other, and this is only the first match!"
MK: "Brian Williams only needs to pin Nightmist in this next segment to become the NEW WORLD CHAMPION!"
HS: "Pinning Nightmist is one of the pinnacles of an AWA career. It’s extremely hard, as he’s one of the most determined men to ever grace an AWA stage."
MK: "Even though Williams is up one match to nothing, the ‘equalizers’ are being brought into the ring as we speak."
(Williams is bandaged up after about a minute of quick work by the EMT’s, and Nightmist has his spine popped back into place. Oddly, he seems no worse for wear and is rearing to go.)
HS: "After the beating that man just took, he still wants more!"
MK: "He is no man."
(After about a minute and a half, Nightmist can’t take it any longer, and he grabs a chair and heads straight for Williams. The EMT’s duck out of the way and THWACK! He nails Williams right across the skull. A thick puddle of blood stains through his bandages as he lays across the mat. The referee’s struggle to keep Nightmist back, but not after he nails Williams once more.)
HS: "What the hell is he doing?"
MK: "He’s gaining the upper hand!"
(The referee’s subdue Nightmist as the counter hits 15… the fans begin counting down, as Williams staggers to his feet. He glares at Nightmist with more animosity and hate than ever before. 5…4…3…2…1! DING DING DING!)
HS: "And here we go!"
MK: "It’s TLC TIME BABY!"
(The referee’s dart out of the way and out of the cage as Nightmist and Williams charge at one another full speed. Nightmist is wielding a chair and goes to swing. THWACK! Both men are laid out on the mat, two mangled chairs fly into the cage wall.)
HS: "NIGHTMIST NAILS WILLIAMS WITH THE CHAIR AGAIN!"
MK: "But look! Williams had a chair too! They just decked the fire out of each other! BOTH MEN ARE DOWN!"
HS: "But in this stage, there are no count outs. The winner can ONLY be decided by pinfall!"
(HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!)
HS: "That’s right, HOLY SHIT!"
(It takes about thirty seconds for both men to regain their legs and they both are on their feet. Williams’ bandage is torn and hanging off, stuck to his forehead by his blood. Nightmist is now also busted open, a steady trickle of blood flowing down the right side of his face.)
HS: "And now Nightmist is bleeding."
MK: "He’s not busted open too bad, but for some reason, I don’t think that will last long."
(Williams’ blood has ceased flowing, despite the chair shots. His face, however, is nothing but a crimson mess, and slow, drying blood drips to the mat. The fans erupt as both men are on their feet. Nightmist reacts first, swinging at, and connecting with, Williams with a hard right. Williams does the same, and soon, both men are trading ferocious rights back and forth.)
HS: "It’s a whole new ball game now. Neither of these men are going to stop until they win this match at all costs."
MK: "Or die trying."
HS: "I think that was implied."
MK: "You’re gay."
HS: "How… mature."
(Williams then shoves Nightmist back into the ropes hard enough to scrape his elbows across the cage, but also sustained enough to have him repel back at Williams. Nightmist is met in the face with a huge big boot from Williams that sends him hard to the mat, his head slamming down first.)
HS: "Oh, huge boot from Williams. And the ball is now in his court.)
(Brian Williams lifts Nightmist up and guides him over to the table that is already set up in the middle of the ring. He rears back and slams Nightmist face first into the hard table, opening Nightmist’s wound. He slams him twice more and then, after a hard elbow to the back of the champ’s head, Williams sets Nightmist atop the table. He then gazes over at a nearby turnbuckle.)
MK: "Oh no… he won’t. He couldn’t?"
HS: "I think he’s going up top, Mark! This could crush Nightmist."
(The fans cheer loudly as they see what Williams is doing. He climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and, after a sinister grin, prepares to leap into the air.)
HS: "LOOK OUT BELOW!"
MK: "I can’t watch!"
(In a blur of black camos, Nightmist is instantly up on the turnbuckle with Brian Williams. A moment later, both men come falling from the top turnbuckle. A loud CRACK is heard as both men shatter the table in two.)
HS: "POWER SLAM!"
MK: "FROM THE TOP ROPE!"
HS: "Nightmist was playing possum, he set Williams up!"
MK: "And he just took himself out!"
HS: "Both men… are… ummm… are they even conscious?"
(A loud HOLY SHIT! Chant starts again as both men lay lifeless on the shards of table. Soon, Nightmist, the assaulter, begins to stir. He drapes his arm over Williams and the outside referee’s begin to count, as do the fans. ONE!... TWO!...)
HS: "THIS IS IT, IT’S OVER!"
MK: "NOOO! Williams KICKS OUT!"
HS: "How in the hell?"
(Nightmist, the fans and even the referees are stunned that Williams was able to break the count, only an instant away from the pinfall. Nightmist puts his head in his hands in hopelessness. He then climbs to his feet, leading Williams up by his hair. Suddenly, Williams lashes out with an elbow to Nightmist’s gut. Then another, and another, until Nightmist stumbles backward. Williams then quickly rolls behind Nightmist and locks in a Full Nelson. Nightmist struggles to break free, but is unable. Williams glares at the same cage wall, still dripping with his own blood, and he grins.)
HS: "Oh no, he wouldn’t? He can’t!"
MK: "Payback’s a bitch!"
(Williams then proceeds to slam Nightmist’s face into the cage, drenching some of the fans outside with splattered blood. He slams him again and again, tearing open Nightmist’s wound and causing him to bleed profusely. After the fifth or so slam, Williams proceeds to grind Nightmist’s face into the cage wall, scraping it back and forth, tearing his flesh. The fans are stunned silent. Williams finally releases Nightmist, who slumps down onto the ropes, out cold.)
HS: "This is disgusting, Williams is an animal."
MK: "Look at all that blood... It’s… awe inspiring."
HS: "You’re a sick, sick, sick man."
MK: "Thank you."
HS: "How can you joke at a time like this… this match is heinous."
(Williams walks across the ring and picks up the single, ten foot ladder. He situates it in the corner and then goes back to his victim. He proceeds to whip Nightmist in the corner, but the champ counters, whipping Williams back. However, it’s short lived, because Williams simply overpowers the World Champion and counters again, whipping Nightmist with full force face first into the ladder. Nightmist snaps backward to the mat and the ladder falls down on top of him.)
MK: "Ow… that must’ve hurt."
HS: "Shut up, Mark."
(Williams barks out a laugh and then runs and lands a huge leg drop onto the ladder, crushing Nightmist beneath it. An audible crunch is heard as the steel ladder connects to Nightmist’s face, shattering his nose. The fans let out a sickened gasp.)
HS: "OOOH Nightmist’s nose just shattered into a million pieces."
MK: "Don’t be so damn dramatic."
(Blood rushes down out of Nightmist’s nose, who is in too much pain to even acknowledge it. Williams just stands over Nightmist and smiles. He then kicks the ladder off of the champ and bends over to pick him up. He lifts Nightmist completely off the mat by his neck and then, once he gets the champ up, lifts him into the air and slams him down hard onto the ladder.)
HS: "CHOKESLAM! CHOKESLAM! CHOKESLAM!"
MK: "ONTO THE LADDER… THAT WAS AWESOME!"
(The fans are too shocked to chant anything as Williams simply hooks Nightmist’s leg for the pin.)
HS: "This is it, it’s over, and Williams becomes the World Champion."
MK: "What a match!"
(The referee’s count as Williams holds up his fingers, ONE!... TWO!... THREE! Nightmist kicks out, but too late.)
HS: "He kicked out!"
MK: "WILLIAMS IS THE NEW CHAMP!"
HS: "No, wait a minute… the referee’s are arguing… the bell hasn’t been rung."
MK: "Oh, come on, he won!"
(Williams raises his arm high, but then, after noticing the ref’s, screams in frustration as they begin to announce that Nightmist kicked out before the three count. The fans erupt as Williams falls to his knees in despair. Then, an evil look consumes his face, his brow lowers, and everyone in the arena fears what’s coming next. Williams goes over and grabs a chair, and turns back towards Nightmist. THWACK!)
MK: "NIGHTMIST WITH A CHAIR SHOT!"
HS: "Williams thought he won… but Nightmist didn’t give up!"
MK: "OH, ANOTHER CHAIR SHOT!"
HS: "And another… Nightmist is using Williams’ head for target practice!"
(The crowd lets out a huge gasp with each shot, louder and louder as each shot is more and more fierce. Nightmist’s eyes are glazed over and he wants nothing more but to torment Williams. Every shot Williams stumbles back, not falling though, until Nightmist can’t even use the mangled chair any longer.)
HS: "Williams just won’t go down. How much of this beating can he take?"
MK: "Nightmist is swinging for the fences."
(Nightmist tosses the brutalized chair aside and then grabs another. Williams is bleeding again and his bandage falls to the floor, torn in half. Nightmist raises his chair high and then charges at Williams. Before he swings, Williams manages to step to the side and shove Nightmist over the ropes and into the cage. Nightmist slumps down to the mat as Williams collapses on his face.)
HS: "Nightmist just connected head first with the cage!"
MK: "Williams just passed out!"
HS: "Both men are out again!"
MK: "THIS IS THE FRIGGAN MATCH OF MY LIFE!"
HS: "This has to be one of the most intense matches I’ve ever seen! And it looks to be far from over!"
MK: "Each of these men are giving it their all! EACH OF THESE MEN WILL DO ANYTHING FOR THAT TITLE!"
(After several moments, an exhausted Nightmist begins to stir. Soon, too, does Williams. Williams looks down and sees the chair and reaches down to pick it up, unawares to Nightmist. The Champion soon regains his composure, eyes Williams and charges.)
HS: "NO, WAIT, NIGHTMIST, DON’T!"
MK: "He doesn’t know… OH GOD! LOOK OUT!"
(Williams lashes out with the chair, only to be met with a burning sensation to his face. He drops the chair to the mat and clutches at his face.)
MK: "MISTY BLUE! MISTY BLUE!"
HS: "Out of nowhere! Williams is blinded!"
(The fans roar, shaking the entire arena, as Nightmist lashes out and executes a Tornado DDT right onto the chair. Williams lands completely vertical and a loud crunch is heard.)
HS: "OH MY GOD! WILLIAMS JUST LANDED ALL 350 POUNDS OF HIMSELF DIRECTLY ON HIS HEAD AND NECK! HIS NECK COULD BE BROKEN!"
MK: "NIGHTMIST FOR THE PIN!"
(The fans erupt as the referee’s count ONE!... TWO!... THREE! Nightmist raises his arm high as Williams lays on the mat. The bell rings and before anymore carnage can occur, referee’s and security mob the ring, separating Nightmist from Williams.)
HS: "NIGHTMIST WINS THE SECOND MATCH!"
MK: "IT’S TIED… THAT MEANS THAT IN FIVE MINUTES, WE’LL BE HAVING AN ALL OUT HARDCORE BRAWL!"
HS: "The only way a winner can be determined now is if one of these men are able to escape the Cage."
MK: "THIS IS INSANE!"
(The SkyDome is in a complete frenzy as the ring is cleared of the ladders and tables, not the chairs, and two boxes are brought in.)
HS: "Those boxes are filled with four items apiece, decided on by each opponent before the match. They will be allowed to use those weapons as they see fit. THIS IS A HARDCORE RULES MATCH!"
MK: "HELL YEAH!"
(The boxes are placed in corners opposite one another as Williams is revived by the EMT’s. Nightmist is sucking oxygen from a tank and getting quick stitches in the five minute period. Security surround each opponent so as to avoid a mishap this time.)
HS: "Let’s recap the match… Williams was the first to be busted open and he bled until he nearly passed out, but he fought back and forced Nightmist to submit after the Struggle Within in fifteen minutes, seven seconds."
MK: "Then, after this BRUTAL TLC match, these two beat the living hell out of each other. Nightmist managed to even the score after catching Williams by surprise with the Misty Blue and pinning him for the one, two, three."
HS: "So it comes down to this… the final stage of Hell… only one man can win, and one man MUST WIN! There are no Disqualifications, no count outs, no pins, no submission, no knockouts… no anything… the only way to win is to be the FIRST man to escape this brutal steel cell."
MK: "Only one minute remains until all hell breaks loose."
HS: "May God have mercy on their souls."
(The clock reaches the final minute as the referees, EMT’s and security members begin working more frantically. Nightmist is forced to remove his bloody and tattered mask to reveal the face of Haunt so that the EMT’s can work on his broken nose. For this he glares at Williams with more hate than ever before. The two lock eyes and are quickly subdued by the security team members. The fans begin to count down as the timer nears zero… FIVE… FOUR… THREE… TWO… ONE! A bell rings and the refs and security members dart out of the way and out of the ring as Williams and Haunt charge at one another like wild animals.)
HS: "AND HERE WE GO!"
MK: "HARDCORE MAYHEM BABY!"
(Williams and Nightmist begin trading hard rights immediately, no man seemingly gaining the upper hand. At least not until Williams unloads with a kick right to Nightmist’s groin area.)
HS: "LOW BLOW!"
MK: "Hardcore rules, Herb, anything goes."
(Nightmist dances around, clutching himself in the nether region. He circles around into the waiting arms of Brian Williams. Williams scoops Nightmist up and laughs, and then spins him around and slams him hard to the mat with a Tilt-A-Whirl side slam. Nightmist lays on the mat, gasping, and Williams walks over to his box. He grins and then pulls out a solid red brick. He laughs as he tosses it into the air and catches it like a toy. He wheels around only to be nailed with a side kick from the Champion. Williams staggers back and Nightmist unloads with a barrage of right. He then rears back aiming for a haymaker, but Williams ducks and then CRACK! Shards of brick fly through the ring.)
MK: "THAT WAS FRIGGAN AWESOME! WILLIAMS JUST BROKE THAT BRICK ACROSS NIGHTMIST’S SKULL!"
HS: "Awesome? That was morbid!"
(The fans begin yet another HOLY SHIT! Chant as Williams roars with fury. He then begins to head for the exit.)
HS: "Nightmist is out cold… all he has to do is leave."
MK: "Damn that was awesome."
(There is a mixed reaction as Williams orders the referee to unlock the gate. The referee fumbles with the lock as Williams grows irate. Just as he is about to get the lock opened, THWACK! Williams is face down on the mat as Nightmist stands over him with a crowbar. A river of blood consumes Nightmist’s face and he collapses to one knee. Williams has a huge gash on the back of his head as blood begins to flow out.)
HS: "Nightmist nailed Williams with the blunt end of that crowbar! Just as he was about to escape! And Nightmist doesn’t have enough left in him to escape."
MK: "A real man wouldn’t have used the blunt end."
(Both men begin to stir and the crowd again erupts as they meet toe to toe. They trade some more punches, blood flying across the ring with each blow, until both men are exhausted. Nightmist then lashes out with an eye gouge to Williams, and then, as Williams is grasping at his eye, he unloads with a huge kick of his own to Williams’ unmentionables.)
HS: "OOOOH… Nightmist evens the score."
MK: "That’s one way to take a big man down."
(Williams doubles over and Nightmist quickly lands a DDT. The champion climbs to his feet and goes over to his crowbar. He looms over Williams, but then tosses the crowbar aside. He proceeds to his box and pulls out his second item, a wooden baseball bat. He holds it up as the fans cheer and then he waits for Williams to climb to his feet. Nightmist takes a batter’s stance and then as the fans begin to chant ‘GO JAYS GO!’ Once Williams hits his feet, Nightmist takes full swing at his head. THONK.. the sound of Brian Williams catching the bat only inches from his face.)
HS: "Williams CAUGHT it?"
MK: "He has really quick reflexes for a man of his size. That’s some Jackie Chan shit."
(Nightmist, however, unloads with a kick to Williams’ midsection, forcing him to release the bat and hunch over. CRACK! Nightmist shatters the bat across Williams’ face uppercut style. Williams flies through the air about four feet and lands to the mat on his back. Nightmist looks at the handle of the bat in his hand and shrugs his shoulders, tossing it aside. The camera focuses in on Williams face, now gushing with blood. Several splinters are stuck in his forehead and brow.)
MK: "IT’S A HOMERUN!"
HS: "That was frightening."
(Nightmist starts to head towards the door, but stops in his tracks when he hears the gasps of the crowd. Brian Williams is up onto his hands, trying to push himself up.)
HS: "NO WAY! How is he even moving!"
MK: "Haven’t you ever seen a Friday the 13th movie… it’s impossible to take someone born in Hell out."
HS: "I’m starting to think Williams actually is from Hell."
(Nightmist has a look of disgust on his face and pulls out a third object from his box, a 2 X 4 wrapped in serrated barbed wire. The fans let out a huge yell as he holds it up, stalking Williams. Williams climbs up to his knees and then to his feet, staggering about. As he stands up, Nightmist jabs him in the stomach with the 2 X 4, cutting up his abdomen. Williams, in pain, immediately bull rushes Nightmist and sends him back first into the turnbuckle.)
MK: "GORE!"
HS: "That’s copywrited."
MK: "Oh… well, then… uh… SPEAR!"
HS: "Dude… that wasn’t even a spear."
MK: "DIAMOND CUTTER!"
HS: "Shut up, Mark."
(Nightmist, already having dropped the 2 X 4, crumples over in the corner. Williams then begins to choke him again with his boot. Moments later, Williams unloads with a clothesline that sends Nightmist springing into the air. Williams laughs as Nightmist flops down into the corner, nearly unconscious.)
MK: "Nightmist just got caught between a rock and an extremely bloody hard place."
HS: "Nightmist just doesn’t have anything left."
(Williams picks up the barbed wire bat and presents it in front of Nightmist. Nightmist glares at Williams through bloody eyes and then spits in his face. This infuriates Williams and he slams the 2 X 4 right into Nightmist’s face, cutting him open even more. Williams grates the barbed wire across Nightmist’s exposed face as blood streams down uncontrollably. Williams laughs loudly and then he rears back and takes a huge swing, aimed for Nightmist’s head. CRACK! The 2 x 4 splits in half as it connects with the turnbuckle. Nightmist lays flat on his face, barely escaping.)
HS: "WHEW! Williams nearly KILLED Nightmist!"
MK: "Man, that was HARDCORE!"
(Williams laughs loudly after missing and he kicks Nightmist in the side. The champion groans and Williams goes over to his box to remove his second weapon. He pulls out a 18" lead pipe, scans it over, shrugs, and tosses it behind him, dissatisfied. He reaches in again and pulls out his third item. It’s a leather belt with metal clasps all around it. Williams examines it and then nods approvingly.)
HS: "A belt? What’s he going to do with a belt?"
MK: "He’s going to beat Nightmist like a friggan animal, that’s what!"
(Williams swings the belt around for a second and then lumbers over to Nightmist. SMACK! The belt slams hard against Nightmist’s back , echoing a sickening sound that causes the fans to gasp. Long welts form over Nightmist’s back as he winces in pain with each lashing. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Nightmist sprawls around the ring in pain, twitching violently. He tries to stand but Williams smacks him back down.)
HS: "I can’t watch this… this is just plain sick."
MK: "Williams is enjoying this a little too much… maybe he has a fetish for S & M."
HS: "No, he’s enjoying beating Nightmist to death!"
(Nightmist crawls to the other side of the ring, all the while being smacked like a dog. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Williams is relentless. All hope seems lost when Nightmist manages to grab a chair. Williams is too preoccupied to notice and is caught completely off guard when Nightmist nails him hard in the face with the chair. THWACK! Williams stumbles backward and Nightmist nails him again. THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! Each one with more force.)
HS: "CHAIR SHOTS! NIGHTMIST IS FIGHTING BACK!"
MK: "This is out of the blue!"
HS: "HE’S A VERY DETERMINED MAN!"
(Nightmist drops the chair and picks up the belt. The fans cheer as he holds it in front of Williams. He then rears back and smacks the belt right across Williams’ bloody face. SMACK! Williams only reaction to the belt across the face is falling motionless to the mat. Nightmist falls suit as he falls down on top of Brain Williams.)
MK: "Where’s the ref? Nightmist has Williams pinned!"
HS: "Once again Mark, there are no pin falls in this match, If Nightmist wants to win he’s going to have to get out of the cage."
(Nightmist slowly pushes him self up and blood rushes down onto Williams chest. Nightmist rolls onto his back mumbling to himself then starts to pull himself up with the ropes a Williams does the same across the ring. The two men reach their feet and lock eyes. The both limp to the middle of the ring and stare at each other’s bloody faces. Nightmist rears back and smack Williams across the face with an open hand slap that ignites an "Oooooooh" around the arena. Williams staggers but then retaliates with a slap of his own, Nightmist strikes back, another from Williams, Nightmist, Williams, the two men are trading slaps none stop.)
MK: "Holy crap, these guys really don’t like each other."
HS: "You think, Mark?"
(Each slap rains blood across the mat. Both men then rear back, simultaneously, and nail each other with huge haymakers that drop one another to the mat. The crowd gasps again, and then they begin applauding. Both men eye their boxes and begin crawling over to them. They both reach their boxes at the same time and reach inside. Nightmist pulls out his item first, but Williams seems to collapse at his, not getting anything.)
HS: "That’s… that’s… that’s… NIGHTMIST’S TORCH!"
MK: "He’s gonna burn Williams… HELLA COOL!"
(Williams climbs to his feet, as does Nightmist. Williams, frustrated that he has no weapon, quickly bends over to get a chair. The fans cheer when they see Nightmist’s torch, and cheer even louder when they realize Williams is unaware of it.)
HS: "Williams doesn’t see it. He doesn’t know that Nightmist has a torch. He’s walking directly into a flaming trap!"
MK: "BURN!"
(Williams scoops up the chair and heads for Nightmist. Suddenly, a blaze of fire expels from Nightmist’s lips and Williams drops to the mat. The chair lands with a clank and the camera focuses in on the burn marks across it. Williams clutches at his face and screams in pain. Nightmist then proceeds to the exit, dripping blood, raising his arm high.)
HS: "NIGHTMIST JUST BURNED BRIAN WILLIAMS!"
MK: "THAT WAS INTENSE!"
HS: "THIS MATCH IS OVER… NIGHTMIST JUST HAS TO REACH THE EXIT!"
MK: "Wait a minute?"
(Nightmist doesn’t see Williams sit up grinning.)
HS: "He’s not burned?"
MK: "HE WAS FAKING IT?"
HS: "He must’ve blocked the flames with the chair!"
(Williams climbs to his feet and walks up behind Nightmist, who is too dazed to even realize what is going on. Brian Williams reaches around Nightmist, grabbing him around the head in a front face lock and pulling him backward. Then, in an instant, he snaps back to the mat.)
HS: "BLINDED FATE! WILLIAMS JUST LANDED THE BLINDED FATE!"
MK: "My heart is pounding!"
(Nightmist is laid out as Williams climbs to his feet. He starts toward the exit, but then stops, and reaches into his pants.)
HS: "What is he doing?"
MK: "What is that?"
(Williams then pulls out a pair of handcuffs and raises them for all of SkyDome to see.)
HS: "HANDCUFFS! What does he want to do with those?"
MK: "What does anyone do with handcuffs?"
(Williams then goes over to Nightmist and drags him by his arm towards the door. Nightmist tries to struggle, but Williams quickly latches the cuffs onto one of his wrists. He then latches the other to the cage, right next to the door.)
HS: "Oh no! Williams just cuffed Nightmist!"
MK: "BRILLIANT!"
(Williams rears back and smacks Nightmist across the face. Nightmist looks up, helplessly, through bloody eyes as Williams orders the referee to open the door. Impatiently, Williams kicks the door in with all his strength, busting it off it’s hinges and sending the referee flying. Williams then glares at Nightmist as he calmly walks out.)
HS: "WILLIAMS WINS! WILLIAMS WINS! HE HAS ESCAPED THE CELL!"
MK: "I DON’T BELIEVE IT! WHAT A MATCH!"
(Nightmist lowers his head and unconsciousness consumes him as Williams also passes out. EMT’s rush to help both men as the referee drapes the World Title over Williams’ unmoving body.)
HS: "Both of these men gave it their all! Both of these men put EVERYTHING on the line!"
MK: "What an intense and amazing match up! AND WE HAVE A NEW WORLD CHAMPION!"
(The crowd is roaring with applause for these two men, despite the fact that they are both ruthless. The camera fades to the faces of Frank Jackson and Larry Porter as Williams begins to cough up blood.)
LP: "And now the moment we all have been waiting for."
FJ: "Dark Warrior gets to show the world once and for all that he is the true champion."
LP: "The no contact contract is no longer in effect."
FJ: "The last six weeks is about to come to a head."
LP: "It’s John Williams squaring off against Dark Warrior."
(After the pair of announcer’s finished there slightly dramatic back and forth banter the camera turned and caught sight of quiet a bit of people all in the front row. Five women and eight men.)
LP: "And there is the Jeff fan club."
FJ: "That’s the champs family Larry."
LP: "Yes I know. His entire family are in this business."
FJ: "Yes but take a look at that sister of his, Lisa."
LP: "Tongue back in your mouth Frank here comes the champion."
(It was slightly odd but the champion came out first this time as "Renegade hero" By Forever and a Day Hit the PA system and slowly the champion came through the curtain to a huge pop from the hometown crowd. Slowly he walked from one side of the stage to the other and held the world title high over head. Draping the title down over his shoulder John made his way down toward the ring very slowly shaking the hands of children, Women and men who continued there huge pop for the hometown boy. Once into the ring John mounted the corner and raised the title high into the air for the entire arena to see.)
LP: "Good lord listen to them Frank."
FJ: "You could swear the president himself was here Larry."
LP: "And now here comes out challenger."
('We Go Hard' by Cam'Ron and DMX blares over the PA and Jeff Christianson walks out slowly, with Paige following, to a chorus of people booing. He has a very arrogant smirk as he looks directly into the ring. Motioning for a member of the ring staff to help as they both assisted Paige over the barricade to a empty front row seat. Turning back toward the ring Jeff slide under the bottom rope and into the ring)
LP: "We are a matter of seconds from the match of the night Frank."
FJ: "So much has gone down between these two. The attach on Paige and the Contract signing disaster."
LP: "Let’s not forget about the beatings Snake and Jeff gave our champions two weeks back."
FJ: "Or the beating our champs gave them the week later. And here we go!"
(As the bell rang the entire arena seemed to be on there feet. DW and John began to circle one another before lunging and locking up. Both men's arms straining but it was john who used the extra thirty pounds to muscle Jeff back into the corner. Jeff raised his arms only to have his entire chest almost cave in as John slammed his hand across Jeff's chest But Jeff rebounded grasping ahold of John's shoulders and Spinning him into the corner. It was about now when John would get a taste of what it was like on the other side as Jeff came into him hard with a identical Knife edged chop. Back and forth they went with a knife and a reversal, Chop, reversal but it was the champ who got the best of the challenger once again as he landed three straight chops followed by a stiff right hand which dropped Jeff down to his knee's. Leaning down John pulled Jeff to his feet to rest fully into the corner before slamming his body inwards sending his elbow hard into the side of the head. Again John brought his body forward and again brought his elbow up into the side of the head rocking Jeff who shook softly in the corner in La-La land. Grasping ahold of Jeff's shoulders and head John began to back him out of the corner. When they reached the center of the ring Jeff quickly hit the mat with a very vicious European uppercut.)
LP: "The champ is in complete and total control of this match. I guess the challenger wasn't as big a challenge as they thought."
FJ: "It’s early, just wait."
(Taking two steps back John waited as Jeff lay prone on the mat. As Jeff began to rise John took off for the ropes and flattened him to with a running shoulder tackle and began to clearly build momentum as that cocky swagger he expressed showed. Leaning down John pulled Jeff to his feet but Jeff sent a punch into the mid section and looked like he could mount a come back but John slammed his forearm hard into the middle of the back sending Jeff back down to a knee. DW wasn't about to quit now as he sent another elbow into John's midsection followed by another and finally a third which staggered the champ allowing DW to rise to his feet and take off for the ropes. Rebounding from his running DW attempted a clothesline but John easily ducked under it. Expecting to turn and catch DW on the return John turned, But little did he know Jeff had quickly slid to a halt and when John turned sent a kick to the midsection. Locking up his arms DW spun quickly locking then Johns front to DW's back......)
FJ: "UNPRETTIER!!"
LP: "This could be a turning point Frank…"
FJ: "Told you he would come back."
(The entire arena was holding there breath when John's head slammed into the mat and even clouded into silence when Jeff rolled John into the cover. Had the ref came into position faster DW may have walked out of classic right there world champion but instead settled for a long two count before the entire arena erupted into a massive scream as John's shoulder shot off the mat. Jeff pulling himself to his feet pulled John up with him before swinging around behind him and locking him up into almost a atomic drop but as he lifted shifted his hand to lock up the right leg and dropped down sending Johns ankle down hard into his knee once. Jeff never released the grasp of Williams as he brought him down a second time and a third before the sheer weight of the man made him drop him to the canvas.)
FJ: "He is working over the ankle pretty good early on Larry."
LP: "No doubt preparing him for the grapevine."
(John as he attempted to get to his feet was clearly favouring the leg as he used the ropes for leverage. Jeff came up and took off for Williams who dropped down pulling the top rope sending DW toppling over the top rope to the floor below. Williams already on the mat rolled out onto the floor and began to put the boots to Jeff who lay on the floor trying to recover from the fall. After putting a good seven or eight boots to DW John pulled him to his feet and locked his hand around the mans wrist attempting a Irish Whip but DW reversed sending John hard into the ring post to topple to the ground against the barricade. Jeff pounced like a kitty on cat nip and began to stomp the ever loving piss out of the champion. As the boots were being put to the champion the camera closed it to show John "The Icon" Williams had been busted open.)
LP: "Ah what is this?! The Champion's been busted open!"
FJ: "Take it to him Jeff!"
LP: "This isn't a hardcore match...He should be Dq'd for that!"
(The champ indeed was busted open but not to badly. Pulling John to his feet and lifted like a body slam and launched into the air to land hard face and chest first on the barricade just infront of the Christiansen family. John was in trouble as he sat on his knee's after getting his bell rung and Jeff was driving punches into the opened up forehead before lifting and rolling the champion into the ring. Climbing in behind him and hooking the leg quickly. Again as before the entire arena erupted as Johns shoulder came up off the mat at the two count.)
LP: "Again a kick out by the champ!"
FJ: "What does it take to keep that chump down?!"
(Jeff wasn't about to give up now as he jumped up and slid around locking in a half face lock half crossface but John was resilient no matter the punishment and began to stand. DW refused to release the hold as John began to stand but should have. As John stood he lifted Jeff off his feet and hit a high back body drop. Both John and Jeff lay flat on the mat and this was just the time the champ needed to regain his breath and composer to bring himself on two shaky legs to his feet and when the wobbly challenger got to his feet John and Jeff began to exchange right hands each man wavering with each blow. John with a very vicious right hand rocked Jeff backwards and John took off like a bat out of hell toward the ropes. On his return trip Jeff dropped down bringing john with him with a drop toe hold and floated over.....)
LP: "Grapevine anklelock!!!"
FJ: "Snap his ankle champ!"
LP: "NOO!! Get to the ropes John!!!"
(The agony was clear on the champs face as the camera closed in on a tight shot of the world champions face as the ever clever challenger only locked in the hold tighter causing the champ to squeal just slightly from the sheer pain of the hold. It was about now John began to claw ever so slowly for the ropes)
LP: "He is going to make it!"
FJ: "No he is not."
LP: "John Williams will not quit."
FJ: "Oh? He may now!"
(Williams fingers were just inches from the ropes when DW unlocked the grapevine and pulled Williams back into the center of the ring before raising fully and torquing a normal anklelock firmly in place.)
LP: "NO!! He grabbed the rope ref!"
FJ: "No he didn't. Don't be mad, Dark Warrior is about to become our new cha...NO!"
LP: "Yes! Counter!"
(In the ring while the two announcers were bickering Williams had rolled and kicked hard into the chest sending Jeff to his back breaking the hold, But Jeff was to his feet instantly like a shark smelling blood and grasped John by the head and neck. Pulling john back and to his feet he locked his arm between his own looking to attempt a diving reverse DDT much to the dismay of the crowd, But the entire crowd seemed to come alive as John shifted slightly to place them almost side to side. Grasping DW it then came time for the shocked silent of the crowd as John lifted and hit a modified version of All She Wrote landing DW clean in the center of the ring)
LP: "YES! ALL SHE WROTE!! This one is over!"
FJ: "NOOOOO! Kick out champ!"
(John quickly dived into the cover and hooked the leg. The ref was in perfect position and slide down into the cover.....ONE...The crowd was on there feet chanting for the champion......TWO.....They could taste if it......THRE......KICKOUT!!)
LP: "He kicked out of All She Wrote!"
FJ: "Oh look at Williams he can't believe it."
(John was staring up at the referee and slamming his hand off the mat three times but the ref clearly signalled two then pointed to his eyes then lifted a shoulder. DW was clearly almost dead on his feet when john rose and pulled him to his feet. A weaker chop started the would be assault on the challenger and three straight blows to the stomach but Jeff began to fight back landing three hard right hands. On the fifth would be right hand john sidestepped and locked his arms around DW lifting and hitting a sit-out tombstone piledriver. Once DW hit the Mat John leaned forward and hooked the leg quickly but got another long two count. As he shifted his two legs to one side again his palms slammed into the mat)
LP: "The champion is getting frustrated."
FJ: "It’s because he can't keep Dark Warrior down for more then two, Larry."
LP: "Yes I think we all know that."
(John slowly rose to his feet and made his way toward the corner where he began to mount the ropes. When he got to the top the challenger met him at the second rope and the two began to exchange right hands until one hard punch sent DW to the mat. Rising to the top fully John motioned to the crowd and slammed his hands off his chest quickly before motioning toward the challenger and jumping into the air....)
LP: "...What is the champion doing?"
FJ: "I don’t know, Legs just hope he doesn't hurt himself up there."
LP: "....450 SPLASH!! I can't believe it!"
FJ: "Look at him. He hit the leg wrong Larry."
(As he landed in a picture perfect 450 Splash his ankle and shin connected hard with the man his foot turned from the side and the champ began to roll. The crowd knew something was wrong as John didn't even move into the cover which would have won him this match without a doubt as he rolled holding his ankle and shin area. As Larry had said John Williams was no quitter and when he saw DW finally rising to his feet he quickly began to pull himself up. Once again in the center of the ring the two men began to exchange right hands and again John got the best of the exchange and shifted to run. When John shifted his ankle gave way and he hit a knee his face a mask of pain.)
LP: "The champ's hurt Frank."
FJ: "Yeah I agree, You hate to see this."
(Dark Warrior again smelling blood sent a hard football type kick straight to the injured ankle sending John hard to the mat. John wasn't on the mat long as Dark Warrior quickly picked him up and brought him up. Once the champion was up Jeff sent a hard kick straight to the gut doubling him over and sent him face down between his legs. With John all but defenceless DW flattened him hard with a vicious pedigree. Jumping to his feet Jeff motioned toward Paige and his family a huge smirk on his face before dropping down and firmly synching in the GrapeVine once again but this time on the injured ankle)
LP: "NO! Not that ankle!"
FJ: "But look at Williams. He is fighting for dear life!"
(They were fight. Jeff was torqueing the ankle and leg as hard as he could and John was racked with pain but refused the pain up shaking his head and holding his head in his hands. The entire crowd was in shock as they heard the loud POP emit and the painful almost scream of the champion and his hand slapped off the mat multiple times each time harder then the last. Dark Warrior finally released the hold as his music hit and the EMT's began to roll down to check on the injured Ex champion. Jeff snatched the title and his family came to celebrate there brother/Husband/Son and Grandson as John was being carted out on the stretcher)
LP: "....Look at our new champion...Not a ounce of remorse for what he did to John Williams."
FJ: "Remorse? He could have given up sooner."
LP: "...Yeah. Well that all the time we have folk....What the hell.…"
(The AWA-Tron Came alive interrupting the champion’s celebration to show Snake walking from his locker room Monica racing along quickly behind him)
Monica- "Come on baby, Don't leave now. Jeff just won the title."
Snake- "I don't give a damn. I am going to the hotel...See you when you get home."
LP: "The hell crawled up Snake’s ass?"
FJ: "He did get beaten by Fish in that ladder match AND get his ass handed to him by Brain Williams tonight."
(The camera followed as Snake came around the corner and emerged into the parking structure of the arena. Moving to get into his car snake slammed the door closed behind him and started the engine. The camera had a close up of his face which seemed to be sniffing and making a rather annoyed face)
Snake- "Damned woman must have left a gas can in the trunk."
FJ: "A gas can? What is he talking about?"
LP: "He smells gas, Monica left a gas can in the car."
FJ: "That’s dangerous, Larry."
LP: "No shit."
(As he came across the parking lot the camera's shifted to the one in the doorway he came from. Now alot of the fans who entered would know there is another door right next to this one. Snake slowed the car to a stop at the doorway but his eyes seem to be focused on the doorway no one could see and slowly power rolled the passenger side window down)
Snake- "The hell do you want? Did you not get enough already?"
FJ: "Who is he talking to?!"
LP: "Fish maybe? Maybe Fish came to put there bygones behind them?"
FJ: "I doubt it. Maybe they are rolling John out that doorway?"
(The camera caught it perfectly, Snakes eyes widening and his leg tightened as his foot slammed on the gas. Those watching wouldn't know why until the bright light of a small fire. A lighter or match came flying into view and into the back seat of the car which was jumping to a high speed quickly. The entire backseat burst into flames as the car slammed into another car as Snake was trying to put the fire in the backseat out. Clearly the "smell" was gasoline on the backseat. As Snake's body came around he attempted to twist the steering wheel but slammed hard into the car in front of him the drivers side being pinned down by the wall and the passenger door by the car he hit. The camera closed in on a shot of the car's interior as it was being consumed with flames and caught Snakes unconscious body slumped over the steering wheel.)
LP: "OH MY GOD!"
FJ: "Someone get out there and help him now!!!"
LP: "He can't get out frank!!!"
(The entire crowd was in a shocked silent which was broken by a woman’s screams. The camera twisted around to see Monica being held back by the new World champion and Paige as the crowd gathered larger and larger from the commotion but none of them could get close enough to the car which was almost completely in flames now)
Monica- "Someone get him out!!! Oh god help him!!!"
(A sobbed scream of panic left the woman)
DW- "No one can get close enough! Where are the damned safety people!!"
(The camera's attention focused on Monica and Dark Warrior was brought around quickly just as John "Fury" Heights was damn near speared to the ground as he sprinted by the group toward the car by OOO)
Fury- "Get off me!!! Someone needs to get him out of that damned car!!!"
LP: "Thank god Ortega stopped him Frank."
FJ: "Without question."
(Blackjack was on him quickly and pulling him to his feet while he and OOO held Fury back as he was fighting kicking and screaming for them to let him go. Goldstein was next on the scene and held a look of total horror when he saw the chaos of the fire fighters putting out the car fire)
Goldstien- "Tell me he got out before that happened.…"
Monica- "Of course not you idiot!!!"
Goldstien- "...Who did this?"
DW- "No one knows."
LP: "Damnit, Our time is over folks.…"
(The AWA logo appeared across the bottom of the screen as the sound of a ever familiar evil sadistic laugh was heard by the AWA's fans and the show faded out to black)
