AWA LAST MAN STANING 2003, October 26th, 2003, Memphis, TN, The Pyramid Arena
(The AWA logo flashes across the screen before the it goes black. In white letters the words "FACTOR ONE" appear on our screen. After a short close-up shot of the AWA World title belt we are taken back to King Of The Kage on July 2nd, 2003. We hear the crowd counting down and then see Low holding the World title high into the air as Mortis Valley leaves the ring.
"FACTOR TWO"... we see various action sequences og Adam Bawm, ending with him crashing through the table at Overpower and losing to Low.
"FACTOR THREE"... Brian Williams is holding his new TV title belt as George Slater watches on. This is followed by scenes of Williams burying Zeal alive at Overpower, then of Williams and Low shaking hands after doing "Just What Canadians Do" with Adam Bawm at Shock. Finally, in black and white, we see Williams as Death Angel pinning Low after interference from Bawm.
"FACTOR FOUR"... we go back several weeks as Zeal wins the battle royal to earn his eventual shot at the AWA World Heavyweight title. We also see Zeal putting Williams on fire several weeks ago and then finally pinning Low last week on Xplosion.
"WHO WILL BE... THE LAST MAN STANDING?"... In quick succession, we see Williams standing over Zeal, Bawm over Williams and Low holding up the World title last week on Xplosion, before we cut to the sold-out Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee.)
HS: "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Last Man Standing 2003. The Pyramid Arena is packed and we are about to witness what is certainly going to be a violent main event."
FJ: "That's right, Herb, and one way or another, I will walk out of Last Man Standing a happy man, because neither Low nor Brian Williams, my fellow countrymen...
HS: "Hahahahahahaaaaa..."
FJ: "Let me finish, idiot... neither of my fellow countrymen is known for quitting easily, or for losing at all for that matter."
HS: "Well, we'll see about that, Frank, eh? Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, our first match of the evening is scheduled to begin. This match was booked this passed Thursday, on X-Plosion.”
FJ: "Boy, I tell you, I don’t think Adam Bawm knows what he’s getting into, tonight.”
HS: "You may actually be right, Frank. Let’s roll the footage.”
(Suddenly, ‘Star Spangled Banner Chorale’ hits and the fans hit their feet.)
FJ: "Is this… the national anthem?”
HS: "I thought you were Canadian now?”
FJ: "Oh right… BOOOOO!”
(Soon, the Nuclear Nautilus, Adam Bawm, walks out, holding an American Flag and pole high over his head. He is wearing a Bret Hull Redwings Jersey and a Pistons baseball cap.)
FJ: "OH no, anybody but HIM!”
HS: "He has as much a right to be here as you and I, Frank.”
(The fans begin to sing to the tune as Bawm walks down to the ring with pride. By ‘the home of the brave’ comes around, Bawm is in the ring with a microphone.)
Bawm: "GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS MICHIGAN!”
FJ: "Idiot, we are in MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE!"
(The fans seem to be confused, but cheer anyway.)
Bawm: "And God bless Ben Wallace!”
(The crowd erupts again.)
Bawm: "Ok, ok, settle down. I did come out here for reasons other than congratulating Michigan State on another fine season.”
(Bawm waits for a third cheap pop.)
Bawm: "I actually came out here for a reason. And this reason may come as a shock to many of you. You see, as most of you know, I have never held a title of any kind since I’ve been in the AWA.”
(Some fans begin to boo.)
Bawm: "Yeah, I know… BOOO! But you know what, at Last Man Standing, all that will change. See, I’ve worked it out with Mr. Slater that Adam Bawm should be competing for the Television Title at Last Man Standing…”
HS: "What? But Bawm is supposed to be competing for the World Title?”
FJ: "Haha, I knew he’d chicken out.”
HS: "Don’t jump to the gun, there, Frank. Think about who the Television Champion is.”
FJ: "Oh, Brian… no, now I’m confused!”
HS: "I hate to say it, but I am too… and so is all of Michigan!”
(Bawm walks around the ring with a sly look on his face.)
Bawm: "Which will make Last Man Standing the first time in my career where I’ve competed for two titles in one night!”
(The crowd erupts, but is still confused.)
Bawm: "That’s right, Brian, you heard me. I’m going to take your Television Title away from you. But then, I’m going to win the World Title from Low and vacate it. Problem is, you won’t be the one getting it back. At least not right away! After Last Man Standing, I’m going to leave you with nothing but a lot of broken bones. I’m going to leave just enough in you to say ‘I QUIT!’”
Bawm: "Which means I’ll become the first person to ever win and lose the Television Title in the same night! As well as the first person to make three other people say ‘I QUIT” right before they hand me that World Title. NUFF SAID!”
(Bawm waves his flag around some more as the fans cheer and chant USA! USA!)
HS: "Did I hear that right?”
FJ: "I know, what man in their right mind would want to face Brian Williams twice in one night!”
HS: "I think I’d have to agree with you there, Frank!”
FJ: "And we’ll get a preview later tonight! Bawm had better say his prayers.”
(The camera flips back over to Last Man Standing where Herb and Frank are again greeting us.)
FJ: "And I meant it when I said it!”
HS: "Well, let’s see if he agrees here.”
(‘Time Bomb’ hits and the crowd erupts and hits their feet. Bawm quickly emerges from the back and the arena grows into frenzy.)
HS: "Just listen to these people, they’re maniacs!”
FJ: "I believe the term is Adamaniacs… and gag me with a spoon!”
RA: "Ladies and gentlemen, the following match up is for one fall, standard rules apply. It IS for the AWA Television Championship. Introducing first, the challenger, he stands 6’10” tall and comes in at 305 pounds… from Charlotte, North Carolina, he is… ADAAAAAAAAM BAAAAAAAWM!”
(Bawm struts down to the ring, giving high fives and such to all the fans. Eventually, she slides into the ring and takes a corner, conversing with the referee.)
HS: "He certainly looks confident of himself.”
FJ: "He won’t look so stupid once Williams gets out here!”
(The melancholy rhythms of Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’ hit the P.A. and the crowd erupts in a chorus of boos, though some cheers can be heard.)
FJ: "Here he comes, the next World Champion of the World… providing he beats Low.”
HS: "You know what, for once, I’m going to pull favorites, and, well, I really don’t want to see him win!”
RA: "And introducing next, he IS the AWA Television Champion! Weighing in at 346 pounds and standing a substantial 7 foot, from Toronto Ontario, he IS BRIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAN WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMS!”
(Suddenly, the crowd begins to start a ‘USA! USA! USA!’ chant as Williams makes his way down. But the man-monster doesn’t seem to notice. Instead, he glares at Bawm and heads straight for the ring. At the apron, he pulls his title off his shoulder, holds it up at Bawm, then points to himself and laughs, spitting in Bawm’s direction. He then slowly climbs up the ring steps, taunting Bawm and the crowd, and crawls in. The referee does a good job of restraining the Nuclear Nautilus and drags him to center ring. The two glare at one another for a good minute or so, and the crowd can feel the tension. Bawm reaches out to touch the title, but Williams pulls it back, mocking him. He then holds up a finger and moves it left to right as the crowd roars in jeers.)
FJ: "Haha, he’s just toying with him!”
HS: "Dammit, show some sportsmanship, Williams.”
FJ: "Oh, are YOU going to make him?”
(The referee takes the title from Williams, yelling at him about keeping the match clean. Williams jumps at him and the referee falls to the mat, about to roll out of the ring. Even Bawm has to crack a smile at this. The referee shakes off the embarrassment, forces them to try and shake hands, which they don’t, pushes them to their corners and calls for the bell to ring.)
HS: "AND HERE WE G… WHAT THE HELL!?”
FJ: "Hey, who turned out the lights?”
HS: "I sense a set up!”
(After about five seconds, the lights come back on, and now the ring contains not only Bawm and Williams, but chair wielding Peeks too! Williams stands around confused, and doesn’t have time to react before the Peeks land a huge con-chair-to to his head, dropping him like a sack of potatoes. The referee immediately calls for the bell as Bawm begins laughing loudly and the crowd begins booing. Bawm calls for a microphone and tries to settle the crowd down.)
Bawm: "Now now now, calm down people… you know as well as I do that I didn’t have a choice here.”
HS: "The crowd certainly didn’t like that answer, and, well, neither did I!”
FJ: "Are you starting to see the light, Herb?”
Bawm: "No, please, just hear me out. You see, my good buddy Bryan over there set this whole thing up with the boss, Mr. Slater. He explained to me that he would like nothing more than to compete for the Television Title.”
(Bryan interrupts him as Andy drops another shot onto Williams.)
Peek: "That’s right, Bawm… you see, naturally, I couldn’t just challenge Williams for the Television Title, being that I haven’t competed in the ring for over a month… but when I saw that he wasn’t defending his title at Last Man Standing, I was outraged and offended! How could a man who claims to be a true champion, the best ever, not defend his title at this… at any pay per view?”
(Bryan comes over to Williams and Andy holds him up.)
Peek: "Brian… you’re a disgrace to that championship. Hell, you’re a disgrace to the AWA… but I couldn’t give two cents about your retarded ass. I want that TV Championship, and, well, there was no way in hell I was going to defend it against my best friend.”
Bawm: "You see, people, we had no choice. And we both got what we wanted. I told Williams that he shouldn’t underestimate me… I told him to watch his back… did he listen? Well, obviously not.”
(Andy shakes the lifeless William’s head back and forth, mockingly.)
Bawm: "Brian, I’ll go ahead and tell you, keep your damn title, I want bigger and better things… but don’t you ever insenuate that you’re going to put me out of commission. I told you I can be unpredictable… guess what? SURPRISE!”
(Bawm kicks Williams in the head then Andy and Bryan lift him up. Bawm shoves his head between his own thighs and lifts him up over his head. Bawm then slams him down in a jack knife powerbomb, right onto a perfectly placed Peek chair. Williams just falls out, nearly unconscious. Bawm then kicks him over onto his stomach and grabs one of his legs. The crowd is stunned silent until Bawm looks up to them, as if asking if he should… many of the fans urge him one now.)
HS: "No, don’t Bawm… this is below even you! Come on Bawm… NO!”
FJ: "Yeah, what he said!”
(Bawm looks down at Williams, who is now knocked out, and laughs. He lets his leg slump down and walks off. Bryan Peek grabs his title and tosses it ontop of him as ‘Time Bomb’ hits and they all three leave the arena, the crowd still shocked and confused.)
HS: "I’m speechless, Frank, I would have never expected this from Bawm.”
FJ: "Oh, come on, Herb, once an ass hole, ALWAYS an ass hole.”
HS: "Yes, but I thought Bawm was finally turning to the good side of things.”
FJ: "Grow up, Herb… I mean, I may not like Bawm, but Williams did have this coming. I just hope he’s OK in time for the match later tonight.”
HS: "Perhaps you’re right, Frank, but I’m still in a state of shock.”
FJ: "Well, you’d better snap out of it, the ring has been cleared and it’s time for the next match up!”
HS: "This next match up is a triple threat match between three of AWA’s rising stars.”
FJ: "On the Rise to what Summers? "
HS: "DO you ever give credit where credit is due? "
FJ: "Yeah, I give myself credit for coming out here with you every week "
(‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ by Hilary Duff hit’s begins to play and Brute comes charging through the curtain as he does the crowd erupts into a frenzy of cheers Brute begins to head for the ring, he stumbles over his feet momentarily but before falling regains his footing and chuckles at himself. He then makes his way to the ring and climbs in, he removes his pink Head band and hands it to a ring side official. He then leans against the corner and waits for his opponents. When the Levee Breaks replaces Cant Hardly Wait and Black Jack makes his way through the curtain to another large response from the capacity Crowd. He makes his way to the ring and slides in, he shoots a glare in Brutes direction and then takes position in the corner opposite from Brute, The music fades out and in the moment of silence the men lock eyes. The concentration is broken when Unfinished Sympathy hits. It plays for a while and then The Reverend steps through the curtain, he slowly makes his way to the ring and climbs in, he eyes up both opponents and then heads to his corner, the ref checks all three wrestlers and then signals for the bell. The men head for the center of the ring, and they all meat at about the same time. Brute Goes for a Clothesline on Black Jack only to be interrupted by a drop kick from the Reverend. The reverend jumps to his feet only to catch a hard left from Black Jack. Followed by a right and then another left. The Reverend stumbles back and as he does he is caught blindside with a clothesline from Brute, knocking Reverend to the Canvas. Brute lifts Reverend to his feet and holds him as Black Jack hits him with a boot to the midsection, Brute Releases him and Reverend Drops to the ground. Brute then falls on him for a cover, but as soon as the ref gets into counting position Black Jack grabs Brute by the head and pulls him off. Brute looks angrily at Black Jack and gets to his feet, where he is met with a hard drop kick to the chin.)
HS: "The action is hot and heavy here all three of these men want this win.”
FJ:”Well, Reverend would want it, except he has been double teamed by these two cheaters.”
HS: "What are you talking about Frank, this is a triple threat match, there are three men in this match.”
FJ: "Well Reverend will give them theirs.”
(Reverend is back to his feet and catches the unsuspecting Black Jack with a dropkick to the knee, causing Black Jack to collapse in pain and clutch his knee Reverend Follows it up with a hard elbow drop. He gets back to his feet and catches a charging Brute with a back elbow. Then turns around and drops him with a clothesline. Reverend makes his way over to the still grimacing Black Jack and hauls him to his feet. He scoops him up and hits him with a hard Body Slam. Then turns and catches Brute with a kick to the midsection followed by a DDT. Then makes his way back to Black Jack and applies a Scorpion Death Lock to Black Jacks earlier Injured knee.)
HS: "The Reverend is wrestling this match very smartly, he is going right after the knee of Black Jack that he injured earlier.”
FJ: "I told you, Reverend would give these two theirs, and once again I am right.”
HS: "You are so full of yourself, its disgusting.”
FJ: "That hurts Summers.”
HS: "Just do your job and call the match .”
(The ref is checking on Black Jack asking him if he wants to give, seeing this Brute makes his way over and kicks The Reverend in the chin, causing him to release the hold and fall to the ground. Brute covers quickly and the ref counts 1...2... But Reverend Kicks out. He climbs to his feet and grabs Reverend by the head and pulls him to his feet. HE locks him in a bear hug and then executes a Belly to Belly suplex. He then slides and hooks the leg for another cover 1.…2... Black Jack gets there just in time to break up the count with a stomp to the head of Brute. Brute climbs to his feet but is caught with a hard right from Black Jack, Brute fires back with a right of his own and then takes another from Black Jack. Black Jack gets the advantage and pushes Brute back to the corner, once he has brute in the corner he throws a flurry of chops dazing Brute slightly, he then climbs to the top rope and comes off with a bull dog on Brute. Black Jack rolls Brute over and covers 1.…2.… Kick out by Brute. Black jack has a slight look of frustration come over him, then snaps quickly back to business locking in a rear chin lock and driving his knee into the upper back of Brute. The ref moves around to check on Brute but gets an answer of NO from the big man. Black Jack locks the move in tighter but before it can do any damage Reverend clobbers Black Jack with a hard Elbow on top of the head, Black Jack releases the hold and falls to his side, Brute also falls and Reverend pulls Black Jack to his feet, and hits him with a hard side suplex. He stays on top for the cover 1.…2.… Brute breaks up the count. The Reverend climbs to his feet as Brute takes a swing at him, but it is ducked and Reverend sends brute into the ropes, Brute comes back off and gets dropped with an elbow to the jaw. Reverend then goes to lift Brute to his feet only to catch Black Jack charging at him, Reverend with quick thinking ducks and sends Black Jack hurdling over the top rope to the floor. He lands hard on his earlier tweaked knee.)
HS: "That may have just destroyed Black Jacks knee.”
FJ: "Good, I love to watch people get hurt.”
HS: "You are terrible, just terrible.”
FJ: "Thank You Summers, I didn’t know you cared.”
(The reverend is looking out at the downed Black Jack with a smile on his face, the ref is also over looking out to the seemingly injured Black Jack. Then as Reverend is still looking to the outside Brute sneaks up behind him, and grabs him around the neck, but with the ref distracted Reverend kicks up nailing brute with a hard Low blow. Brute stumbles backwards holding his groin then he falls to the mat. Reverend then heads to the top rope and leaps off at Brute and lands flush with a big Splash, the force he lands with is so great that he bounces off Brute. He quickly slides back on top and hooks the leg and the ref noticing this begins to count 1.…2.….3!)
HS: "Well Reverend is victorious here in his return to the AWA, with a hard fought victory over Brute and Black Jack.”
FJ: "And I called it. You see Summers, you should just listen to me, hell you should just take off, I don’t need you anyway.”
HS: "Whatever, anyway, folks it is The Reverend picking up the win here, but his opponents gave it their all, and showed very well here.”
(The camera shifts over to a view of backstage. None other than Belinda appears in front of us, microphone in hand. The camera along with Belinda seem to be moving at a rapid pace, in a hurry to find something, or someone. Suddenly we see a figure in the not so far distance. The camera pulls up closer and Belinda makes her way there. The figure stands there, coffee cup in hand, long hair draped over his face. He turns looking at the camera. His gray jogging suit carries a bright emblem that stands out. As the figure flips his hair back the "CW” symbol on his chest stands out even more, and we soon realize that the figure is none other than King Chozen.)
Belinda: "King Chozen! King Chozen! Do you mind if we have a few words with you?”
(Chozen looks at Belinda without saying a word. He looks at the cameraman, and smiles.)
Chozen: "Sure.”
Belinda: "First, the question on EVERYONES' mind...your shocking return to the AWA this week stunned everyone. Why have you decided to return?”
Chozen: "Well it's quite simple. A little while ago, while I was lying out, running my company I got a call from an old friend. We started talking about the AWA and he mentioned who was the current world champ. I couldn't believe my ears...so I turned on the TV to check. It was a joke.”
Belinda: "Strong words! What are you future plans?”
Chozen: "A little slow on the uptake aren't we? Well pay attention, King Chozen vs. Low, World Championship. That's considering the fact that Low can hold his own and keep that title of his for a few days more.”
Belinda: "Is that an official challenge?”
Chozen: "Does it matter? Low won't accept it anyway! He's full of it, and I guarantee you that he still hasn't forgotten our last encounter. I pushed him further than anyone had pushed him in a long time, and I intend to break him this time.”
Belinda: "What do you think of the AWA today? What are your feelings towards the current talent?”
Chozen: "There are some guys who show promise. A lot of young guys now getting into the game, they could very well be the future of this company. But we're not in the future. We're in the present. And let's face it, King Chozen IS the present. I own this land. The current AWA superstars are going to learn that,
one way or another.”
Belinda: "How do you think your return is going to affect the AWA?”
Chozen: "The company is about to be revolutionized, again.”
Belinda: "Any final words?”
Chozen: "Yea, stay tuned for Chozen Wear's winter 2k3 lineup.”
Belinda: "Thank you so much for your time Mr. Chozen.”
Chozen: "No problem. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get moving. Stay up”
(KC walks off to the right sipping his coffee.)
Belinda: You heard it right here! King Chozen's comeback is official!”
FJ: "What was that moron talking about?”
HS: "You’re so slow sometimes… CHOZEN’S BACK!”
FJ: "Oh, phooey! Let’s just get on with the night.”
HS: "Well, what an evening it’s been so far.”
FJ: "And it only promises to get better!”
HS: "That’s right, because the first ever four way elimination ‘I Quit’ match for the AWA World Title is only moments away.”
FJ: "Actually, I was referring to this next match.”
HS: "Well, while I admit Nash vs the new-ER guy, The Truth, does sound like an intense match up, I can’t say that it compares to…”
FJ: "How can you say that a disciple of Dave Santini doesn’t compare to ANY match ever! Just shut up now, Herb.”
HS: "Whatever, Frank.”
FJ: "And here they come now!”
(‘St. Anger’ by Metallica blares over the sound system and a caucus of boo’s rain down onto the newcomer, Nash. More so, they are directed towards the man at his heels, Dave Santini.)
FJ: "Here comes the greatest wrestler ever to grace AWA! And he’s got a nice protégé in Nash too!”
HS: "You’re an idiot, Frank.”
(Nash and Santini make their way down to the ring and the fans jeer them loudly; especially when Santini openly brandishes the Equalizer for all to see as he escorts his cohort to the ring. However, no one expects that the referee would come down and take the Equalizer from him, prohibiting it from ringside.)
HS: "FINALLY, a referee does his job.”
FJ: "What are you talking about? That referee needs to mind his own damn business.”
(The fans cheer loudly as the referee hands the Equalizer to a security member, who carries it backstage. Santini argues and pleads with the referee and Nash nearly takes him out, but Santini restrains 320 beast.)
FJ: "Look how vicious he is! He’s an animal!”
HS: "He reminds me of my ex-wife!”
FJ: "Ooooh burn!”
(Suddenly, Obie Trice’s fight anthem, ‘We All Die Someday’ hits and out comes the rookie, Truth, to a decent ovation. The 21 year old wastes little time charging the ring as the crowd cheers him on.)
HS: "This kid’s anxious…”
FJ: "To what, get his ass handed to him?”
HS: "I swear, if you interrupt me one more time…”
FJ: "Shut up! The ref is calling for the bell!”
(Truth and Nash begin trading rights for a moment, but the taller, heavier Nash easily out powers him, eventually knocking him to the mat hard with a haymaker. Truth quickly gets to his feet, but Nash fells him again with a hard clothesline, doubling the 275 pounder over.)
FJ: "See… animal.”
HS: "Well, Nash is certainly coming out of the gate with his power. Let’s see if Truth’s fighting spirit can overcome the obvious size and strength advantage.”
FJ: "Never.”
(Truth quickly rolls out of the ring, to regain his composure.)
HS: "Truth shows us that he isn’t just another rookie by rolling out there.”
FJ: "No, he shows us that he’s a chicken!”
(Truth is forced to slide into the ring as Santini makes his way over. Nash does a good job of distracting the referee in the meantime, but shoves him aside seeing Truth slide into the ring. But he lunges forward with another clothesline, that the rookie ducks, and Nash gets nailed with a dropkick to his gut. Nash stumbles back, but doesn’t fall, shakes off the hit, and charges forward at Truth again. But the quicker rookie flips him over with a well executed hip toss.)
HS: "Quick momentum shift by the Truth.”
FJ: "You know, I don’t understand that kid’s name, but if he’s the Truth, then I’d hate to see the Lie.”
HS: "You’re a funny guy. COUGH! Loser. COUGH!”
(Nash quickly gets up, after slamming his fist down on the mat in frustration. Both men stand toe to toe again, in the center of the ring, and Nash is the first to lash out. He does so with a barrage of wicked rights that push Truth, stumbling, into the corner.)
FJ: "So much for a momentum shift. Truth only managed to piss Nash off!”
HS: "It looks like you’re right for a change, Frank.”
(With Truth in the corner, Nash easily grabs him around the waist and flips him over with the belly to belly suplex. Truth lands nearly inches from the top of his head and clutches the back of his neck after the fall. Nash doesn’t let up, however, and after two or so boots to the injured neck of the Truth, he lifts him up. Nash mocks the Truth and gives him a certain finger gesture, before lifting him high over head with a Gorilla press.)
FJ: "What power! Truth doesn’t have a chance.”
HS: "Look at the stupid smirk on Santini’s face.”
(Nash slams Truth down, driving him down hard with a power slam. Nash quickly locks in a sleeper hold on Truth and curses at him and the crowd.)
HS: "Well, I’m not sure Nash shouldn’t be going for the pin here.”
FJ: "Eh, he just wants to cause more pain to the rookie. This gives a whole new meaning to the term ‘hazing’.”
(Truth tries to squirm free, but Nash slams a knee hard into his lower back. Truth’s eyes begin to glaze over and his head slumps down. The referee raises one arm high and lets it go. But it doesn’t even fall to the mat before the Truth catches himself. He then begins stomping his foot on the mat. The crowd begins to get behind him and clap along to the beat of his foot. Soon, the rookie has made it to one knee, then one foot, then both feet.)
HS: "What did I tell you? This may cost Nash here.”
FJ: "Oh whatever, he’s just going easy on him.”
(The Truth begins to elbow Nash in the gut, trying to break the lock. He is soon successful, and breaks free, but Nash quickly charges forward with a clothesline. The Truth ducks, however, and grabs the flying arm of Nash. He rolls around behind him and twists him arm around, pulling up Nash’s other arm with his own other arm, locking in a full Nelson. He then lifts the bigger man up and slams him onto his back.)
FJ: "What is he doing? He’s cheating somehow!”
HS: "Beautiful counter by the Truth. That may have been the motivation he needs.”
(The Truth leaps to his feet and Nash slowly gets up as well. The Truth locks in a Dragon Sleeper on the big man, and the crowd begins to cheer. But Nash is too strong and pushes himself up with his legs, freeing his arms.)
FJ: "You can’t keep a good dog down.”
HS: "Nash is just much too powerful… oh! I stand corrected!”
FJ: "Oooh, that hurt.”
(They are referring to the reverse DDT the Truth planted on Nash, who broke his arm free from the Dragon Sleeper and was easily set up for it. The Truth goes for a quick pin, but Nash powers out after two. The big man slowly gets to his feet. The Truth tries for another drop kick, but Nash quickly rolls out of the way. He gets to his feet and the two meet center ring again. The Truth is able to duck another clothesline from Nash, but the big man quickly turns around and slams a boot to the rookie’s face.)
FJ: "Haha, eat rubber!”
HS: "Nash certainly pulled a big boot out of his butt on that one.”
(Nash mocks the Truth, who, despite much more offense, seems the worse for wear. Nash quickly picks him up, following the orders barked out by Santini, and wastes no time executing a high drop powerbomb on the Truth.)
FJ: "OH! It’s over now!”
HS: "Nash, going for the cover!”
(Nash covers 1… 2… Kickout! Nash raises his hand and hits the mat in frustration. He then stands up and begins arguing with the referee. He force the referee into the turnbuckle, but the referee shoves him. Meanwhile, during all of this, the Truth has rolled out of the ring. Santini, however, has begun chase. Before he can catch up to him though, the Truth wisely slides into the ring, just when Nash has stopped arguing with the referee.)
HS: "I’ve been really impressed with the ring presence by this kid, the Truth.”
FJ: "Then why don’t you marry him?”
HS: "Oh, grow up.”
FJ: "I can’t.”
HS: "And why not?”
FJ: "Because I’m a Toy’s R Us kid!”
HS: "Why do I even bother?”
(Nash and the Truth both refocus on the match and each other and cautiously size one another up center ring. The Truth, for the most part, has had time to recover, so both competitors look sharp. Nash charges forward at the Truth, only to be caught in the face with a back elbow by the Truth. Then the Truth whips him into the ropes. Nash counters and tosses the Truth into the ropes, but the ultra quick Truth lands an swinging neck breaker on Nash after the bounce back. The Truth is very pumped up as he leaps to his feet, with the crowd behind him. He stalks Nash, who stumbles to his feet, only to be knocked down again with a quick back breaker from the Truth.)
HS: "This rookie is just too quick for Nash. I’ve been very impressed in his PPV debut.”
FJ: "Oh, like that says much? You were impressed by Britney Spears SNL performance!”
HS: "Way to hit where it hurts, Frank.”
(The Truth quickly locks in a Boston crab on Nash, who was clutching his back. He pulls Nash’s legs up off the mat and slowly stands up himself.)
HS: "That’s the T-Bar; a modified Boston crab. This is a finisher folks, submission style!”
FJ: "No, Nash, break free. Don’t tap!”
(Nash struggles to not tap out, as the Truth locks the move in tighter and the referee begs him to. But the Truth suddenly releases the hold. Instead, he charges for Dave Santini, who just climbed into the ring. Santini quickly climbs back out, but the Truth charges after him anyway. However, Santini, who has much more experience, suddenly grabs the Truth by the head and brings him down neck first into the ropes. The impact bounces him back right into the arms of Nash, who quickly locks in a hammer lock. Before Nash can land the face buster, the Truth breaks free and goes diving into the ropes. He bounces back and baseball slides under Nash’s legs.)
FJ: "Ah, the squirmy little…”
HS: "This is a family show, Frank!”
(Instead of going after Nash, the Truth rolls forward and rests right before the ropes, on one knee. Nash sees and opportunity and charges out with a pump kick. But he doesn’t connect with the Truth, rather, and Dave Santini lays out below the ring apron.)
FJ: "OH NO! The Truth just made Nash his Dave Santini. He should be disqualified!”
HS: "What are you talking about? He got just what he deserved!”
(Nash stands in disbelief, checking on Santini from inside the ring. He doesn’t notice the Truth sneaking up behind him and his eyes grow even wider after he’s being pinned from a school boy. Too shocked, in fact, to kick out and the referee counts 1…2…3! Nash doesn’t take the time to worry about the loss and rolls out of the ring to check on Santini. Dave is up, of course, and begins cursing at him. The referee raises the Truth’s arm as Obie Trice hits. Nash and Santini grumble among themselves, but decide, this time, not to further the matter and they exit the arena.)
FJ: "I can’t believe what I just saw.”
HS: "Seeing is believing, Frank.”
FJ: "I don’t want to talk about it anymore, let’s get on with the show.”
HS: "Well, that’s a first.”
('Sadness' by Enigma reverbs from the speakers; heavy industrial chords highlight the Latin Gregorian chant. Then in a moment respite only the heavy, sighing breath of an unseen woman can be heard. The Lights in the auditorium are extinguished. And like a burning brimstone flood letters spelling the name QUADE DESADE form a fiery cruciform logo; and the harsh tempo resumes and the monks begin again their mantra. Bathed in the flaming incandescence of his fiery cross Quade deSade stands at the top of the ramp. Enshrouded in the faded, travel worn trail coat he stands staring out at the spotlighted ring. It is then that the love can be felt: Ignorant of the crowd on either side of him, deaf to the jeers and insults raining on him Quade walks unhurried and uncaring towards the ring. The bright banners dissing on him and cussing him don't attract his attention. His only response is the seemingly permanent cold, crocodile grin which seems more for himself than for any would be fan out there. Inside the ring and within the light he drops his coat and raises a horribly burn-scarred arm to each of the Four Corners in a mockery of a salute to the faceless crowd hidden within the darkness. Continuing in the darkness the crowd continues their booing as they hear "Crucified” by SevenDust ring through the arena. A single white light starts to flash and it follows the ramp up until it meets the curtain and we see Animosity standing there in the lights. He has a cold and calculating look on his face and he makes his way to the ring. He reaches the ring and rolls under the ropes and starts a stare down with Quade. After a few minutes of the music the match is under way.)
HS: "This is going to be one hell of a match Frank!”
FJ: "Yes, it certainly is, Last Man Standing between two of my favorites Quade and Animosity”
HS: "Well I will tell you this neither of these men can be trusted and both of them love to show people pain.”
(The match gets under way and both men charge. Animosity starts to hammer away and then Quade starts to fire back. The two trade shots for a moment and then Quade hits his knees and comes up with a low blow. This sends Animosity to the mat. Quade starts to stomp away he then picks up Animosity and throws him outside the ring. Quade steps outside of the ring, and goes after Animosity however as he is coming towards Animosity, Animosity comes up and delivers a forearm to the face. Quade goes back a step and Animosity steps into him with a clothesline. Animosity now drops an elbow and starts to reach under the ring. He pulls out several objects including a garbage can, broomstick, hockey stick, a chair, a bucket, a table and finally a ladder. Animosity salutes the crowd in a not so friendly manner. Then he grabs the chair and lifts it high above his head getting ready to bring it down on deSade. However deSade then grabs his tights and slingshots him into the ring steps. Animosity hits his head and lays there while deSade filters through the plunder laying around the ring. He seems content with the bucket laying there and picks it. Animosity has gotten to one knee now and Quade swings the bucket by its handle and strikes Animosity in the side of the head. Animosity hits the floor and the ref starts to count. 1…….2…….3……….4…..but Animosity is already getting up. Quade then strikes him again with the bucket but does not allow for the ref to start counting, Instead Quade picks Animosity up, he grabs him and delivers a spine buster on the steps.)
HS: "Oh god, Quade could have broken Animosity's back”
FJ: "He could of but Animosity will get up”
(The ref starts to count 1………2………..3…………4…………5………….6……….7 but once again Animosity gets up, he is holding his back and looks to be in severe pain. Quade takes the chair now that is nearby and strikes Animosity directly in the forehead. The force from the shot can be heard throughout the entire arena. Animosity stands completely motionless for a moment and we can see his eyes glaze over and a trickle of blood start to run down his face. He then falls forward face first. Quade is not done yet however. He lays the chair down and then delivers a perfectly done face buster on Animosity. He allows the ref to count now. 1…….2……….3……….4………5……….6………..7………..8 but once again Animosity starts to get up.)
HS: "Unbelievable that Animosity can take so much punishment.”
FJ: "It is, and its unbelievable how much Quade is willing to dish out”
HS: "These men are putting on a show here tonight”
FJ: "For once we agree!”
(Back to the action we see that Quade is now running at Animosity, he seems to be attempting a clothesline however Animosity drops down and delivers a drop toe hold out of desperation. Quade falls forward and his head and face strike the stairs now, with a violent clang we can see the flesh hitting the unforgiving steel. Quade's head snaps back and he rolls on the concrerte nearly unconscious the ref starts counting now. 1……..2………..3…………4……Quade starts to get back up now and Animosity follows up his last move by charging and delivering a clothesline from hell. HE picks up Quade and then tosses him into the guard rail. Animosity then exhibits extreme amounts of power by picking Quade up over his head and press slamming him down on the concrete. Animosity then starts heading towards the apron. He then starts to climb the turnbuckle and then leaps off once Quade has gotten up. Animosity hits the diving clothesline to the outside, and both men are on the concrete now.)
HS: "Holy Crap, Frank did you see that?”
FJ: "I sure did, that move was suicidal!”
(The ref now starts the count on both men 1……..2…………3………4……….5………6 now Animosity is up and shortly after he pulls Quade back up as well. Animosity starts to hammer away on Quade who is supporting himself on the railing. Animosity then backs up and delivers a dropkick that floors deSade. Animosity seems to very fired up now and he doesn't even seem to be Animosity now. Now he is actually playing to the fans. Then he starts to turn his head and argue with himself.)
HS: "Ummmm….”
FJ: "I don't know either.”
HS: "Well this match is definitely between two of the strangest in the AWA”
(Animosity thens grabs the same bucket that Quade used earlier, he sits Quade up against the barricade and then spreads Quade's legs apart and places the bucket in between them. Animosity then backs up and runs sliding into the bucket and forcing it into the gonads of Quade. Quade starts to scream in pain and then crumbles into the fetal position on the floor. Animosity is now Animosity as we can see that he is pointing and laughing sadistically. The ref starts the count. 1……..2……….3……….4………..5………..6……..7….but finally Quade starts getting up using the barricade as a crutch. In the mean time Animosity has grabbed the table from the ring side area and is taking it up onto the ramp. He places it a few steps back from where the ramp turns into the flat stage area. Quade is back up now and he hobbles up the ramp towards Animosity. He has chair in hand, Animosity comes to meet him and then gets struck again with the chair. He goes down to one knee and then catches another viscous chair shot in the face. Animosity is bleeding profusely now. Quade picks up Animosity and delivers a DDT on the ramp that puts Animosity down as the ref starts the count. He gets interrupted by deSade. Quade repeated stomps Animosity's face and then starts to choke him)
HS: "These guys are giving it everything here tonight”
FJ: "They sure are!”
(Quade seems inspired by seeing the ladder that is at the ring. He matches down and then grabs it and places it precariously at the top of the ramp. He then goes back down towards Animosity, but as he gets to him, he receives another low blow and he dances backwards. Animosity gets to his feet and charges however he misses his attempt at the clothesline from hell, and Quade latches in the full nelson. He turns Animosity around and then starts to climb up the ladder backwards, after an excruciating climb up the ladder Quade sits down on the top of the ladder with "The Crucifier” locked in tight.)
HS: "Wait the Crucifier!!!!!”
FJ: "But he can't win the match like that”
(Animosity is struggling and giving everything he has, finally as the move is starting to take effect. Animosity is able to get his feet on the ladder rungs. He pushes upwards and then starts to power down out of the full nelson after a long and exhausting battle Quade gives up the hold and Animosity turns around. Quade is now standing on the top rung of the ladder and Animosity is just below him on the second to last rung the tow are trading punches. Animosity gets the best of this one Quade is sitting on the top again and Animosity climbs one more rung and sets up behind deSade. The crowd is going insane as Animosity signals his move. )
HS: "Oh god. You've got to be kidding me! No you'll kill both of you”
FJ: "Do it. Do it Animosity.”
(A hush falls over the entire crowd, as the sound of human bodies is heard, going through the wood 15 feet below. The sickening thud of both men hitting the steel ramp is heard an instant afterwards. Animosity has risked everything and landed his reverse falling tornado DDT, from the top of the ladder onto the table setup a good 15 feet below. As both men lay there motionless Blood can be seen coming from the back of deSade's head. Animosity is still covered in blood and the ref starts the count on both men. 1……..2………..3………4………5……….6………7………………8…….………………...9 finally we see Animosity start to stir, and just before the ref gets the 10 out of him, Animosity is able to pull himself up. The ref calls out the 10 count and Animosity is declared victorious.)
HS: "I don't believe it Frank, Animosity could have killed himself and deSade trying that last move.”
FJ: "He almost did, look at him now he can't even stand up. He is a bloody mess but still in better shape than deSade.”
HS: "A hell of a hard fought match but Animosity gets the nod.”
FJ: "Yeah, even I enjoyed this one!”
HS: "I can’t believe what I’m hearing!”
FJ: "Well, don’t get used to it.”
HS: "And here we go with our Cruiserweight Title match with Dark Warrior challenging The Fish.”
FJ: "Yeah, Jeff Christianson is going to win the Cruiserweight title right here tonight.”
HS: "Last week you dint like now you do, make up your mind”
FJ: "Well now that I know he is still a blueprint member, and since he is facing the fish”
HS: "I see”
FJ: "Man I hate The Fish, I hope Christianson fillets his ass tonight”
HS: "Fillets him?”
HS: "A little extreme don’t you think?”
FJ: "Hell no…”
("Body Guard” by Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Obi Trice starts up and from behind the curtain come Dark Warrior. The crowd seems to be heavily in Fish’s favor as Christianson is getting booed loudly. Christianson slowly makes his way to the ring with an intense look on his face. He awaits The Fish in the ring as he is waiting he stretches out a little and then takes his corner. Erie music hits and the lights change to a blue tint and move in a way to make it seem that the whole arena is under water. Then "Trendy” by Reel Big Fish hits and the lights flash back on as water shoots from the stage and the Fish dead sprints to the ring. He slaps the occasional hand on his way and as he gets to the ring he sees an attractive young lady with a sign that reads "Can I come back to The Cove with you?” Fish sees the sign and takes it and holds it for the camera, then gives it back to the girl. He then places his Cruiserweight title in the hands of the ring attendant and climbs into the ring. The bell sounds and the two men square off.)
HS: "Well here we go this should be an exciting match.”
FJ: "Yup…we are going to see Christianson twist Fish up tonight.”
HS: "Well I don't think it will be that one sided. But Jeff is definitely a submission specialist.”
(Jeff gets things under way with a few hard shots to the jaw of The Fish who hits the ground hard. Christianson goes to work and starts delivering stomps to the midsection of Fish. Christianson however lets up and taunts the fans that are chanting "FISH…. FISH…. FISH!” they boo him again, and this gives Fish time to get up without Christianson noticing. As Christianson turns he is met with a drop kick, both men get up quickly and Fish hits a deep arm drag, and then another as Christianson continues charging at him. Fish continues the onslaught with a hurricanrana, and a quick pin fall attempt. 1… 1 and a 1/2…. no! Christianson kicks out and then both men square off again)
HS: "Fish is giving up a lot of weight in this match Frank, but he seems to be a little quicker.”
FJ: "He won’t be moving too fast when he is in the Ankle Lock”
HS: "What makes you think that he will even be in the Ankle Lock tonight?”
FJ: "I don’t know, wishful thinking, I guess.”
(This time when they met they lock up collar and elbow, Christianson gets the advantage as he has a large size advantage. He pushes Fish to the corner and starts to lay the knees into Fish's gut. He then kicks him and pulls him out of the corner delivering a piledriver. Fish is hurt by the move and Christianson seems to have slowed the tempo of the match. He picks Fish up and then delivers a snap suplex, and then another and another, before finally letting go and starting to stalk Fish who is on the mat.)
FJ: "NO…don’t stop Jeff! That was funny.”
HS: "Do you mind?”
FJ: "NO, not at all”
HS: "Call the damn match”
(Christianson picks up Fish again and then floats behind him and delivers a reverse DDT. Fish is in trouble and Christianson senses it, he sends Fish to the ropes and as he is coming back he nails a spinebuster. Fish grabs his back and Christianson continues by dropping an elbow on him. He lifts Fish up and plants him with a reverse Brainbuster. He goes for the pin 1…2…no!)
FJ: "Almost.”
HS: "But Fish has heart, and will give everything he has tonight.”
(Christianson lifts Fish up again and then attempts to deliver a superkick but Fish ducks and sweeps Christianson's feet out and delivers an elbow drop that gives him some time to recuperate. But Christianson is up again first and nails Fish who is just getting up with a dropkick that sends Fish outside the ring. Christianson goes out after him and starts to rain down punches on him.)
HS: " Christianson is relentless tonight”
FJ: "Just the way he needs to be.”
(Christianson hoists Fish up and attempts a DVD but Fish reverses and delivers DDT. Fish crawls back into the ring, and waits Christianson to get back up. Fish runs and hits the ropes and leaps over the top rope performing a suicide dive onto Christianson, both men hit the concrete hard, and the ref starts the count. 1…2…3…4…5 Fish starts to stir, and then eventually makes it in the ring breaking the count.)
HS: "A high risk move that paid off for Fish there”
(Fish has now gone outside and brought Christianson back into the ring. He plants his foot in Christianson's stomach and then almost kicks Christianson's head clean of with an enziguri. Fish climbs the ropes and leaps off hitting a moonsault. He goes for the pin. 1…2…no! Christianson kicks out. Fish then picks up Christianson and delivers a drop kick that sends Christianson back down. He picks him up again and then hits the ropes as he is running Christianson steps up and then rolls backwards and locks in a Boston Crab.)
FJ: "HAHA…. He’s got him now!”
HS: "Frank Fish is in a world of trouble, we may be seeing the Cruiser Weight Crown change hands right now”
(Fish has been in the move for a good 45 seconds and the ref is asking him if he wants to give up, Fish keeps shaking his head no. He has his hand raised as if he is about to tap out but resists the urge and starts trying to crawl to the ropes. Christianson keep pulling back harder and harder and as Fish gets close to the ropes he drags him back to the center of the ring and leans back even farther. Fish has been in the move for well over a minute and half now and is screaming in pain. Once again Fish looks as if he is going to tap, and the ref is asking him if wants to quit again, but Fish keeps saying no. Finally Christianson gets fed up and releases the hold.)
HS: "I don’t believe it, Fish was able to withstand the Boston Crab for over 2 minutes”
FJ: "I thought it was over right there.”
{Fish is hardly moving now, and is holding his back and kicking his feet from the pain of the move. Christianson goes to the top rope and signals that he is going to go for High Death. He comes off the turnbuckle and at the last moment Fish moves. Christianson hits hard and rolls to the corner holding his stomach. The ref starts the count 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8 Fish is up now. He goes over to Christianson and picks him up. He starts chopping way at Christainson and the crowd WOO's in unison. Christianson falls out of the corner to his knees and Fish picks him up placing him between his knees and signaling its time for the undertow. He hooks his arms and then spins around for 180 degrees driving Christianson's head into the mat. Chistianson seems out of it now, and Fish picks him again and goes for the Cradle piledriver. He gets Christianson up but Jeff starts to kick and eventually gets his weight high enough on Fish that Fish bends over backwards and Christianson hoists him up and delivers his tombstone piledriver. He then grabs Fish's ankle and rolls him over hooking up the Ankle Lock Submission. Fish immediately starts to scream in pain, and dive towards the far ropes but Christianson has it locked in far too well and Fish cant budge him. Fish lays on the mat trying to conserve energy, after about 2 minutes he is still laying there and screaming in pain, a close-up on Fish's face shows the excruciating pain, but Fish still refuses to give up.)
HS: " Christianson is going to break Fish's ankle”
FJ: "Good…but I don’t think Fish can hang on much longer”
(Frank seemed to be right and as Christianson put on one last twist to the ankle. Fish then summons all the power in his body and gets to one leg as Christianson is hanging on his other one. Both men are standing now. Fish is hopping around and Christianson still has the ankle lock on, trying to force Fish to the mat.)
HS: "I think Fish is summoning his superpowers Frank”
FJ: "what are you three years old Herb?”
(The crowd is erupting with excitement and cheering Fish every step of the way. Christianson is trying with everything to force Fish down when suddenly Fish turns and jumps landing a viscous enziguri that causes Dark Warrior to do a half flip landing on his back. Fish hops on one leg to the corner and leaps up onto the top turnbuckle and then summons one last bit of strength to execute the Flyin' Fish. He goes for the cover and the crowd is so loud we can not hear anything.)
HS: "I don’t believe it! Fish hits the Flyin’ Fish; it’s over!”
FJ: "NOOOOOOO! It can’t be …come on Jeff kick out”
HS: "1…2…3! It happened Fish beat Dark Warrior. Fish retains the title!”
FJ: "Yeah, after he cheated!”
HS: "Oh, whatever, while the ring is cleared, let’s roll the promo for the four way elimination ‘I Quit’ match for the World Title!”
(Footage of the matches between these four men is shown. Between different interviews of all four men we see each of them battling it out with each other over the past two months, including scenes of Adam Bawm falling through the table and Brian Williams burying Zeal alive at Overpower. A graphic then shows us all four participants one more time before we cut back to Herb and Frank.)
HS: "What an amazing night it’s already been! And now it’s time for our main event, something that will surely be a great end to this astounding night.”
FJ: "I hate to agree with you, but you’re right. Low and Brian Williams will light up the ring and leave this crowd of jerks in awe of their superiority. Two men, but only one will leave as the World Champion.”
HS: "Frank, this is a fatal four-way. Zeal and Adam Bawm are part of it too.”
FJ: "Oh who cares about them? I just want to hear them scream ‘I quit.’”
HS: "All four men have been working hard in preparation for this match. There’s no one with a clear cut advantage. Brian Williams has his strength and sadism. Adam Bawm has his excellent conditioning and breeding. Zeal has his speed and unpredictability. Low has his veteran savvy and technical skill. They all have the drive to be the best in the business.”
(The lights dim as ‘New Skin’ by Incubus starts to play. As the music picks up, lights flash chaotically. A camera spot shows Zeal moving through the crowd as the first verse begins. He hops over the barricade and slides into the ring. The crowd cheers for the smallest wrestler in the match.)
FJ: "What’s up with this guy? Why does he always enter through the crowd?”
HS: "It’s because he likes to be close to the fans, Frank. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
FJ: "Oh, sure. Nothing wrong with being around a pack of rabid degenerates with nothing better to do than disrespect good men like Low and Brian Williams.”
(Any retort Herb is about to make is cut off by ‘Nothing Else Matters’ by Metallica. As the music picks up, Brian Williams makes his appearance on the stage, deaf to the boos and jeers from the crowd.)
FJ: "You see what I mean, Herb! No respect from these people.”
HS: "Brian Williams is an evil, sadistic man. He’s maniacal, self-centered, arrogant, heartless-”
FJ: "All necessary qualities in a champion. Though I wouldn’t say he’s completely heartless. After all, he’s doing all this for his dead girlfriend.”
HS: "That’s no excuse for threatening to end people’s careers.”
(Brian Williams has made his way to the ring by now. He steps over the top rope and stares harshly at Zeal. Zeal yawns, making a show of his languor, but he doesn’t take his eyes off his rival. ‘Time Bomb’ by Godsmack hits the air, bringing a cheer to the crowd. Adam Bawm walks out from the back, pumping up the crowd. Behind him, Andy and Bryan Peek walk out, the former bearing an American flag and the latter limping only slightly.)
HS: "It’s the Peeks! Annihilation, Inc is making their presence known tonight!”
FJ: "No fair! Bawm has brought back-up!”
HS: "I think they’re just here for moral support and to make sure that no one cheats in this match.”
FJ: "You can’t cheat in an ‘I Quit’ match. There aren’t any rules.”
(Zeal and Brian Williams clear the ring as Bawm and the Peeks enter. Andy waves the star-spangled banner around as Bryan and Adam jaw with the crowd. ‘Time Bomb’ is suddenly interrupted by ‘Weeping Wall’ from David Bowie. Low and Ramona A. Stone walk out from the back to a largely negative reaction from the crowd.)
FJ: "It’s OUR World Champion! Low is in the house and he’s ready! No one is going to take HIS belt.”
HS: "That remains to be seen. He’s been the World Champ for quite a while since winning it from Mortis Valley and he’s defended it against such great competition as Adam Bawm and Snakebite. But lately, he’s lost to Brian Williams and Zeal.”
FJ: "But this is for the World Title, something that means everything to Low. This is a different Low than what Zeal and Williams have seen before. Only Adam Bawm has seen this Low and he lost to him at Overpower.”
HS: "I can’t dispute that. Low has a big target on his head, but he’s used to that by now and he always turns it up a notch when his belt is on the line.”
(The two walk down the ramp slowly, royally. They pause at the edge of the ramp. Bawm gestures for him to step into the ring. Suddenly a voice comes over the speakers.)
Voice: "Ahem! Cut the music!”
(‘Weeping Wall’ stops as George Slater walks onto the stage.)
Slater: "Now hold on a minute. I see where this is going and I’m going to head this off at the pass. I’m not going to have this World Title match be rife with interference. You hear me! I don’t want to see it. The fans don’t want to see it. So as of now, I’m banning anyone in AI and Ramona A. Stone from ringside.”
FJ: "You tell ‘em, boss!”
HS: "For once, I think this was a good idea.”
(The Peeks and Ramona reluctantly walk up the ramp and into the back.)
GS: "Thank you. Now let this World Title match begin!”
(The referee holds up the World title belt and hands it to the timekeeper. All four superstars look at it hungrily then return their attention to each other. The bell rings. Adam Bawm and Brian Williams immediately lock up in the center of the ring. The two big men jockey for position, neither able to get an advantage over the other. Low and Zeal break them up with dropkicks to Bawm and Williams’ knees respectively. Low and Zeal hammer blow upon blow on their opponents. Low goes to whip Adam Bawm into the ropes, but Bawm reverses the whip. Low bounces off the ropes and nails Bawm with a spear. Brian Williams pushes Zeal off of him and catches him with a huge clothesline that turns Zeal inside out. Williams throws Zeal into the corner and begins to work him over. Low puts Bawm in a leglock, softening up the bigger man’s legs.)
HS: "Good strategy by the champ. Bawm has already been through hell with Brian Williams earlier. He can’t be at one hundred percent for this match.”
FJ: "Be still my beating heart. Did you just give credit to Low?”
HS: "Shut up, Frank. Low is a superior champion. I may not agree with his methods and his way of thinking, but I do respect him as a champion.”
(The referee checks on Bawm, holding a microphone close to his mouth, asking him if he quits. Bawm shakes his head and yells no. Low shifts the hold around and puts Bawm in a painful anklelock. Bawm screams in pain but refuses to quit. He fights the hold, then somersaults, using his weight advantage to flip Low over him and through the ropes. Bawm breathes on the mat for a moment, then goes outside the ring and proceeds to stomp on Low.
Meanwhile, Brian Williams continues to wear Zeal out in the corner. Several times, Zeal tries to escape, but Williams catches him and throws him back. He backs up and goes for a running clothesline in the corner, but Zeal dodges and Williams hits the turnbuckle chest first. As he stumbles backwards, Zeal hooks his arm and leg and hits a reverse DDT/Russian legsweep. Williams rolls onto his stomach in pain. Zeal take the opportunity to drop a knee on his neck. He waits for Williams to get to his knees and takes him down with a scissors kick to the back of the head. Zeal turns around to see Bawm on the apron, looking down at a fallen Low, prepared to drop a fist on him. Zeal hits Bawm in the back of the head with a springboard dropkick, knocking him off the apron. Low slowly gets to his feet. Zeal slingshots over the top rope, aiming for Low, but the veteran moves out of the way and Zeal hits the floor hard. Low goes to stomping on the downed Zeal and Bawm joins in.)
FJ: "Ha ha ha! There’s a high risk move that didn’t pay off.”
HS: "It sure didn’t. It looks like Low and Bawm are- What is Brian Williams doing??!!”
(The big man bounces off the ropes opposite the other three competitors, runs across the ring, and leaps over the ropes, barely clearing the top one. He comes crashing down on Low, Bawm, and Zeal. All four men are down on the crowd. ‘HOLY SHIT!’ chants are heard throughout the crowd.)
HS: "Suicide Dive! That’s nearly three hundred and fifty pounds over the top rope and coming down on you! Oh my god!”
FJ: "Now there’s a high risk move that paid big dividends. Zeal should be taking notes here.”
HS: "If he ever regains his wits.”
(Brian Williams is the first up. He grabs the nearly unconscious Zeal and presses him over his head. As Low picks himself up off the ground, Williams hurls Zeal at him like a javelin and both men go down in a jumble. Williams grabs Adam Bawm and tosses him into the ring. He grabs Bawm in a reverse headlock and sends him crashing headfirst into the mat with an implant DDT. Williams slaps on a chokehold, shouting down at him. Adam gasps for breath and grabs Williams’ wrist, trying to pry his hand from his throat. Slowly, inch by inch, Bawm pushes Williams’ hand away. Brian strains, trying to push down harder, but Bawm feeds off the crowd as he fights his way back to a standing position. Williams gives up pushing and rocks Bawm’s head with a haymaker. Bawm returns the favors with a punch of his own. The two behemoths trade punches. Bawm gains the advantage, staggering Williams with his rights. Bawm bounces off the ropes and Williams catches him with a spinebuster. Williams grabs one of Bawm’s legs and tries turning him over.)
HS: "Oh no! Brian Williams is trying to put Bawm in the Core!”
FJ: "Serves him right. He needs a taste of his own medicine.”
(But Bawm blocks being turned over and uses his leg strength to push Williams into the ropes. Williams rebounds back and gets kicked in the low, low midsection from Bawm, who is still on his back.)
FJ: "Hey, ref! That was a low blow!”
HS: "There’s no disqualifications in an ‘I Quit’ match, Frank.”
(Outside the ring, Low suplexes Zeal onto the steel ramp. Zeal arches his back in pain. Low puts Zeal’s head between his legs and piledrives him into the steel. He stands over the writhing Zeal slapping his head and berating him as a potential champion. Then, the champ locks him in the sugar hold. The referee slides out of the ring and asks if Zeal quits. Zeal screams in pain, but not in submission. Low lets go of one of Zeal’s arm and tries to shift the hold into the Low Standard, but Zeal punches up at Low’s face, stunning him. Zeal rolls onto his back and kicks his leg up, hitting Low in the spine. Low falls forward, clutching his back. As he gets to his feet, Zeal comes from behind and bulldogs him onto the ground.
Bawm gets to his feet and T-bone suplexes Brian Williams. With his foe down, Adam Bawm locks in a rear naked choke on Williams. Williams struggles to free himself, but Bawm only tightens the hold, cutting off Williams’ oxygen supply. The referee rushes back into the ring and asks Williams if he quits. Williams responds hoarsely with a four letter word followed by a two letter word and jabs his elbow into Adam Bawm’s side. He does it again and again. Bawm releases the hold and Williams quickly spins behind Bawm and puts him in a neck vice. Adam grits his teeth. Slowly, he fights his way back to his feet. Elbow to the midsection. Bawm picks Brian Williams up and jackhammers him!)
HS: "Great counter by Adam Bawm!”
FJ: "Get up, Brian!”
(Zeal whips Low into the steel steps. Adam Bawm grabs one of Williams’ legs in preparation for the Core. Zeal slides into the ring behind Bawm and kicks him in the back. He grabs the stunned Bawm from behind and hits the Breakdown. As Bawm is getting back to his feet, Zeal springboards off the middle rope and hits him with a flying reverse elbow. Bawm rolls to a corner, holding his face and tries to pull himself up. Zeal follows him in and kicks him in the gut a few times before climbing the turnbuckle behind Bawm. He sets his knee against the back of Bawm’s head and leaps off, sending Bawm into Chaotic Catastrophe. With Williams still stunned, Low goes up to the top rope. Williams gets to his feet as Zeal hits him with stinging blows. Low leaps off the top rope and hits Zeal with a double flying elbow smash. Adam Bawm stumbles to his feet and Low charges him. Bawm lifts him up and hits him with a Samoan drop. Bawm lies on the mat, trying to catch his breath.)
HS: "Brian Williams is the only man standing, but he is stunned too."
FJ: "He's holding on to the ropes as Low is the first man to get back up to his feet."
(Low indeed is back up now, but Bawm has started getting up as well by now. Low walks over to Williams and starts talking to him. However, we can't quite make out what they are saying. Williams nods at what Low is saying, however, and the two finally shake hands to the boos of the fans.)
HS: "Now what is this all about? They can't both be the World Champion."
FJ: "Herb, this is just what Canadians do – they get along and don't hold any grudges for mishaps like that on Xplosion a few days ago."
(Still shaking hands, Low turns around, apparently planning to do some double-teaming on Bawm and Zeal, but suddenly, he turns around and tries to clothesline Williams! However Williams was trying the same maneuver at the same time and Low and Williams knock each other down with a double-clothesline. Bawm and Zeal are now up on their feet again and Zeal starts stomping Williams while Bawm stomps Low. Williams fights back to his feet, though, and Williams and Zeal engage in a free-for-all brawl. Zeal tries a kick to Williams' midsection, but Williams catches Zeal's foot. Just as Williams tries to hit a clothesline, Zeal gets up in the air and hits an enziguri.
Bawm in the meantime has cornered Low and nails one overhand chop after another. He then picks Low up and applies a bear hug. The referee runs over to Low, but Low pushes him away. Low then manages to struggle free by raking Bawm's eyes. Low drops to his knees and hits a quick low blow on Bawm. Zeal is standing over the fallen Williams, but Low spins Zeal around and hits the Low Stunner to the loud boos of the fans.)
FJ: "Low is finally done joking around. Now we don't just see Low, we see OUR World Champion, The Legendary Low!"
(With Bawm, Williams and Zeal down on the mat, Low climbs out of the ring. He pushes the timekeeper out of his chair, folds it together and slides back into the ring. Low is waiting for Zeal to get to his feet, but as soon as Zeal turns around, he jumps up and hits the chair with a dropkick, kicking it right into Low's face and busting him open! The crowd cheers as Zeal seems to fire himself up. As Low is on all fours, we see the blood dripping down his forehead and onto the mat. Low is up on his feet again and now Zeal applies the Riot Act!)
FJ: "No! No! Nooooo! Low, do something! Don't quit!"
HS: "Zeal has applied one of his signature holds, the Riot Act!"
(The referee runs over to Low and Zeal, asking Low if he gives up and holding the microphone close to Low's mouth. On the other side of the ring, Williams nails Bawm with the chair, sending him to the mat. The camera cuts back to Low and Zeal and the referee repeatedly asks Low whether he wants to quit. Low now opens his mouth as good as he can while the Riot Act is applied and mumbles "I... q-", but Williams prevents Low finishing the sentence as he clotheslines Zeal from behind to release the hold. The fans boo.)
FJ: "Whew, that was close! Thank god for Brian Williams doing the right thing."
HS: "Williams is helping Low up to his feet. It looks like he realized that they should work together until both men are the only ones left."
FJ: "Yeah, because that's what Canadians do. Xplosion and the thing a few minutes ago were just misunderstandings."
(Frank and Herb couldn't be more wrong as Williams lifts the bloody Low high up over his head and drops him down with the Last Rise! Half the fans boo and half the fans cheer, but Williams doesn't care either way and locks Low into the Struggle Within! The referee is with them again, asking Low if he wants to quit, but Low shakes his head. However, it looks like Low is about to pass out from the Struggle Within. With his right hand he grabs the microphone. Between choking and coughing, we hear him say "I... q-", but again he is interrupted by the sound of steel on skull, as Adam Bawm breaks the Struggle Within up with a chair shot to the back of Williams' head. Bawm then turns around and hits Zeal with the chair as well, also opening him up in the process.)
HS: "Bawm now has all three of his opponents at his feet. Who will he try to eliminate?"
FJ: "OUR World Champion!"
(And Frank is indeed right, as Bawm has applied the Core on Low! He pulls back with full force and arches Low's entire back. The referee drops to his knees and holds the microphone close to Low's face. The camera gives us a close-up shot of the World Champion, as his eyes go glassy. Low tries to push himself up one more time, but he collapses back to the mat. The referee still holds the mic close to Low's mouth, but Low's eyes have now closed. The referee looks to the timekeeper, not knowing what to do, as the fans cheer Bawm on. The referee now lifts up Low's hand and it drops to the mat once..... the hands drops for the second time... and the hand drops for the third time! The referee calls for the bell!)
Ring Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen, The Legendary Low has been eliminated!"
(The fans explode in cheers, but the cheers quickly turn into boos as George Slater walks out from the back, a microphone in his hand.)
Slater: "No, no, no! No! This is not how it's going to happen! I made this match an "I quit" Match and I haven't heard anybody say "I quit"! Therefore, Low is NOT eliminated and he WILL continue taking part in this match!"
(The referee shrugs his shoulders. Bawm looks upset and the fans boo, as Williams and Zeal are back on their feet by now. Slater is walking to the back again. The three standing men waste no time, however, and start exchanging blows. Williams knocks Bawm down with a well-placed elbow to the head and then nails Zeal with a short clothesline. He then picks up the chair and sends it crashing down on Zeal's back. Bawm tries to take the chair away from Williams, but Williams is faster and nails Bawm with the chair as well, making Bawm the third man to bleed from his forehead.)
FJ: "Low is still in this thanks to George Slater, and for once I agree with his decision. Low will NEVER quit!"
HS: "Brian Williams is now the man who towers over everybody else, because everybody else is bloodied on the mat."
(Williams is about to hit Zeal with the chair again, but suddenly Williams' dominant grin turns into a grimace of pain as Low has finally gotten up again and hit a low blow on Williams from behind. Low hits a series of fists to Williams' midsection, but Williams is able to lift the chair up again and smashes Low right over the head. In the meantime Bawm has grounded Zeal with a lariat before climbing out of the ring. Williams hits Low with another chair shot, this time over his back. Williams then turns around and smacks Zeal over the back again. Williams wants to go back to Low again, but suddenly Bawm is back in the ring and knocks Williams down with the World title belt.)
FJ: "What a disgrace! Bawm has just deflowered the AWA World title belt and stolen all its innocence!"
HS: "Excuse me?"
FJ: "Yeah, see? It's even bleeding!"
HS: "You stupid sicko, that's Brian Williams' blood, as he joins the rest of the gang in being split open!"
(Bawm drops the belt and waits for Low to get up. Low turns around and is met by Bawm's boot to the stomach. Bawm lifts Low up and brings him down with the Meltdown. But instead of pinning him, he wastes no time and grabs Low's leg. He turns him around and applies the Core again! Low tries to reach the chair, but it's too far away. Instead, Low grabs the World title belt with both his hands. The referee holds the microphone to Low's mouth and asks him if he wants to quit, but Low holds on to the belt, looks at it and screams "Nooooo... nooooooo... no, dammit!")
FJ: "There he is, OUR World Champion, holding the most important thing in his life! He'll never quit, never ever!"
HS: "Bawm is pulling back on that leg, the blood flows down Low's face and drips onto the title be-"
"I QUIT!"
FJ: "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"
(The crowd almost becomes totally silence as they can't quite seem to believe they heard right. However the referee signals for the bell.)
HS: "Low has just quit this match! We WILL have a new World Heavyweight Champion tonight!"
Ring Announcer: "The Legendary Low has been eliminated!"
(The fans explode in loud cheers as an exhausted Bawm releases the Core. Low is holding his back with one hand, the belt with the other. His bloody head rests on the belt as well, smearing it with his blood. A concerned-looking Ramona A. Stone comes running down the ramp, as it appears that Low is actually crying. Ramona quickly pulls a white towel out from under her jacket and puts it over Low's bloody face, quickly soaking it with blood. She then helps Low out of the ring and up the ramp.)
FJ: "Nooo, noooooo, nooooooo!!! Damn that Adam Bawm!"
HS: "Low is the first man eliminated and that means that any of the three remaining men, Adam Bawm, Brian Williams, or Zeal, will leave Memphis as our new AWA World Champion. This is truly an end of an era, as Low has broken his previous record as the longest-reigning World Champion by only a few days."
(As Low and Ramona walk to the back the other three men have each gotten to their feet and are now leaning in different corners, their faces crimson masks. Zeal is the first man to move, as he charges Williams in the corner. But Williams quickly ducks Zeal's attack and instead backdrops him high over the top rope and out of the ring. Zeal lands with a nasty sound as his back hits the mats around the ring. Bawm is the next man to move, and he has more luck than Zeal, hitting Williams with a splash in the corner. The huge Bawm then wraps his arms around the even huger Williams and in a tremendous feat of strength hits a overhead belly-to-belly suplex.)
HS: "What power displayed by Adam Bawm."
FJ: "Yeah, whatever. He ain't no Low, though."
HS: "That's right... he's still in the match."
(Bawm now starts working the fans into a frenzy. He then grabs the chair and nails Williams over the back with it. Bawm then climbs out of the ring and hits Zeal with the chair as well, before sliding it back into the ring. He then reaches under the ring and pulls out a table. He slides the table into the ring and puts it up, as the fans shout "We want tables!")
FJ: "And Bawm may grant them their wish."
HS: "Or maybe not! Remember Overpower? A table cost Bawm his match with Low."
FJ: "Yeah, but Low is no longer in this match."
HS: "I KNOW IT, DAMMIT!"
(As Brian Williams slowly makes his way back up to his feet, Bawm pushes the table right into the middle of the ring. Williams turns around and Bawm lifts him up, going for the Fall-Out through the table, but Williams manages to struggle free and slip behind Bawm. He applies a full nelson and it appears as if he wants to hammer Bawm through the table with a full nelson slam, but Bawm is somehow able to free himself. He sends Williams into the ropes with an Irish whip and as he rebounds catches him, lifts him up and hits another impressive overhead belly-to-belly suplex – only this time right through the table!)
HS: "See, Bawm has learned from his mistakes and now the huge Canadian was sent through the wood."
FJ: "Bla bla bla, Summers."
(Bawm briefly celebrates with the crowd, but wastes little time and applies the Core on Williams. The referee is quickly there and sticks the microphone right in front of Williams' mouth, but Williams just pushes him away. The ref is quickly there again, but the hold is broken up by Zeal, who just viciously kicked Bawm right into the head. Zeal now reaches around Bawm's head and applies a dragon sleeper. The referee asks Bawm if he wants to quit, but Bawm shakes his head. Zeal pulls back on the dragon sleeper.)
HS: "Just a minute ago it looked as if Bawm was about to put Williams away, but now the tide has turned and Zeal is the man in charge."
FJ: "Yadda, yadda, yadda! Zeal is an idiot! He just should have waited for Bawm to eliminate Williams and then go one-on-one with Bawm, but instead he proved Williams right by blowing his best shot at not having to face Williams again without any help."
(TWACK! Williams hits Zeal over the head with the chair again, breaking up the dragon sleeper. TWACK! A second chairshot nails him over the back. Williams pulls Zeal up by his hair, lifts him high above his head and sends him down with a tombstone piledriver.)
FJ: "There you go! Zeal's stupidity was just awarded with a Last Rise."
HS: "Frank, Zeal never claimed he was free of mistakes. In the end, all that counts is who walks out of this match the World Champion."
(Williams now directs his attention at the bloody and exhausted Bawm. Williams lifts the chair high above his head and sends it crashing down on Bawm's back. He then seemingly goes completely insane as he just starts smashing the chair randomly all over Bawm's body – the legs, the back, the shoulders, the back of the head, the legs again, the head, the arms, the back... we see about 20 or so chairshots. Williams then hits Zeal over the back again before wealking to teh referee, pulling the microphone out of his hand and pushing him to the ground. He then walks over to Bawm.)
Williams: "Come on, Bawm, I'll give you your chance to survive the greatest in this sport. Say the words, Bawm, say 'I quit!'"
(Bawm, though definitely hurting, responds by turning around and showing Williams the middle finger.)
Williams: "I knew you were too stupid to know what's good for you."
(Williams turns around and hits Zeal with the microphone right onto the nose, causing a huge amount of blood to pour down Zeal's mouth and jaw. Williams then puts the microphone into his pants and picks the chair up again. He repeats the previous attack with the chair and goes all-out of Bawm's entire body. He unfolds the chair as good as he can and sits down on it in front of Bawm.)
HS: "Look at the dented chair!"
FJ: "Yeah, all hail Canada's finest chairman."
Williams: "So Bawm, what's it gonna be? Do you finally quit?"
Bawm: "Fu-BEEEEP you!"
(Williams picks up the chair and then rams it right into the ribs of Zeal, who was just getting back onto his feet. Williams then picks up Bawm and leans him over the top rope. Bawm is almost out of it and just hangs there, both his arms and his upper body hanging over the ropes. Williams now climbs up to the top rope, a bit shaky though, the chair with him. He then jumps to the outside of the ring and smashes Bawm's head with the chair in mid-flight! The crowd seemingly gasps for air.)
HS: "What a sick person..."
FJ: "Oh yeah, wasn't it no disqualification, Herb? Make up your damn mind!"
(The impact of the chair has caused the chair to dent even more and wrapping itself around Bawm's head and neck. Bawm is still leaning over the ropes, but Williams is quickly up on the apron and just pushes Bawm down to the mat. He gets back into the ring, turns Bawm onto his stomach, sits down on his back and simply pulls the chair back.)
FJ: "Yes, I love it, put that movie idiot away."
HS: "Williams is using the chair to pull Bawm's head as far back as he can. I think he also illegally..."
FJ: "Bah bah bah bah bah... there is NOTHING illegal in this match, Herb."
HS: "Well, Williams still chokes Bawm."
FJ: "Look, he even has the presence of mind to lace up Bawm's ankles."
HS: "Oh no, this is a modified version of the Struggle Within... with a damn steel chair wrapped around Bawm's throat!"
(The referee is now getting near Williams and starts a heated argument with him. The ref holds up his arms, while Williams points to his pants and nods. The ref then pulls the microphone out and holds it close to Bawm's mouth just in time for us to hear Bawm saying "I QUIT!" The referee signals for the bell.)
HS: "NO!"
FJ: "YES! Bawm is gone!"
Ring Announcer: Adam Bawm has been eliminated!"
(The fans boo Williams loudly as he releases the hold. A number of officials come running down the ramp and into the ring to assist Bawm up to his feet. They help him out of the ring and up the ramp as Williams starts screaming at the booing fans. But as he turns around he is surprised by Zeal coming off the top rope with a flying reverse elbow. Williams is on the mat and the fans cheer Zeal on. Zeal is up on the ropes again and this time comes down with a flying fistdrop. He waits for Williams to get up and the crowd senses what's coming up next as they scream "C! M! D!" However Williams is able to block the CMD and instead lifts Zeal up and hits a choke slam.)
FJ: "Great presence of mind from the TV Champion."
HS: "What's he doing now?"
(Williams has climbed out of the ring yet again and is reaching underneath the ring again. He pulls out a giant steel chain. He climbs back into the ring and then wraps the chain around Zeal's entire head. We see blood pouring over the chain and the links of it cutting into Zeal's face, including his eyes. Williams then grabs the chain, turns around and puts it over his shoulder, pulling back on Zeal's head.)
HS: "He's a pervert, a sadistic, heartless pervert! That's all he is."
FJ: "Haha, he looks like he's tractor pulling or something. And Zeal looks like a tomato that is about to become ketchup."
HS: "Gimme a break!"
(The referee is on his knees and asks Zeal if he wants to submit, but because of the way the chain is cutting into Zeal's mouth, we can't make out what he is saying. The ref walks over to Williams and tells him about this problem and Williams finally stops pulling. He then unwraps the chain from Zeal's head. Williams now slowly pulls Zeal up to his feet, then takes a few steps back and hits a clothesline with the chain. He repeats the entire procedure again and hits a second clothesline with the chain. He pulls Zeal up a third time, but this time Zeal jumps up and hits a tremendously precise dropkick, kicking the chain right into Williams' face. Zeal then grabs the chain, ties it up somewhat and wraps it around Williams' neck. He uses the chain to pull Williams up and it seems that under all the red blood Williams is turning blue. Zeal then starts running towards the ropes and pulls Williams along with him. Just before the ropes, Zeal stops and hurls Williams over them, hanging him over the top rope!)
FJ: "Hey, hey, he's going to kill him! He can't do that!"
HS: "Number 1, yes, he can and number 2, all is legal anyway!"
(Zeal has now dropped down on his butt, while Williams is literally hanging several inches over the ground. The referee looks very concerned while the fans are weirdly undecided whether to cheer this or not. The referee gets out of the ring and holds the microphone to Williams' mouth, asking him if he wants to quit, but all we hear is Williams choking and coughing and making some bubbling noises.)
HS: "Well, that doesn't sound good at all. Maybe the blood is doing its own to prevent Williams from breathing."
FJ: "You say this like it's a headlock, Herb. Dammit, Williams is about to die in front of our very eyes!"
(The referee has realized the seriousness of this situation and that he is, after all, the man in charge and is telling Zeal to release the chain. But Zeal doesn't follow his orders and the referee has climbed back into the ring to repeat what he just said up close to Zeal. Zeal still doesn't listen. Finally, the referee kicks against Zeal's hands and finally causes Zeal to release the chain, as Williams sinks to the ground. Zeal is staring at the referee and then the two start yelling at each other. On the outside, Williams is very slowly making his way back up and Zeal comes up behind him. From inside the ring, he grabs Williams by the hair and tries to pull him up the apron, but suddenly Williams, in one quick movement, swings the chair over his head and the chain hits Zeal's face the way a leather whip would! Zeal immediately falls to the ground, screaming in pain, his body twitching and turning.)
FJ: "Haha, we've seen this before in the most recent match of the year."
HS: "Look at the amount of blood running through Zeal's fingers!"
(Williams climbs back into the ring and pulls the heavily breathing Zeal up to his knees. He pushes Zeal's hands away and we see a huge open wound in Zeal's face, right were once was his right eyebrow. Williams now pulls Zeal's head back by his hair and then gets pretty close to Zeal's face. He starts yelling at him and wer can make out the words "I told you, Zeal, NO, YOU CAN NOT!" Williams then wraps the chain around his hand and takes a big swing, but Zeal suddenly lunges towards Williams and applies the Riot Act! Williams is stunned but starts kicking Zeal's legs. Zeal kicks back, however, and while still applying the Riot Act, grabs Williams' head and hits a stunner.)
HS: "The Touch Of Chaos!"
(Zeal shows great tenacity by holding on to the Riot Act. He then pulls back at the chain, which is still around Williams' neck, with his other hand. As the referee drops to his knees and holds the microphone to Williams' mouth, we hear Williams mumbling the words "I QUIT!")
HS: "We have a new Champion!"
FJ: "No, no, fuBEEEEP this shBEEEEEP!"
(Frank throws his headset down in disgust and immediately leaves the announce table. Zeal releases the Riot Act and falls on his back. The referee picks up the World title belt and places it over Zeal's chest.)
Ring Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and NEW AWA World Heavyweight Champion..... ZEAL!"
(The fans explode in cheers and fireworks start throughout the Pyramid Arena. "New Skin" starts playing as officials slide into the ring and help Williams up and back up the ramp.)
HS: "Fans, we have witnessed a great event. Zeal is the Last Man Standing and deservedly so after one of the bloodiest battles in AWA history. Tonight, the longest World title reign in history was ended by this man. I give you Zeal, YOUR new World Heavyweight Champion!"
(Zeal finally gets up from the mat and holds the belt high into the air as more fireworks go off and the fans' cheers almost drown out "New Skin". As we see a bloody, yet happy Zeal staring at the belt, the screen fades to black.)
