AWA King Of The Kage
AWA King Of The Kage Live July 2nd, 2003
Live from New York, NY. Madison Square Gardens
Things start up, as it shows each of the eight men. Each of their pictures show
up, Bawn, Nightmist, Logan, Snakebite, Hyde, Dark Warrior, Big Blue, and lastly
KO Kid. Each of those pictures show the various men then, winning each of their
matches, each of them holding their arms up in victory. Then suddenly the words,
'but only four shall have them continued to be raised!' as all the men fade
out to four shadows who have their arms up. Soon the words, 'but only two shall
continue from there!' as two of the shadows fade out to show only two now as
the words, 'And only one in the end, shall be king!' as the two shadows merge
into one, with a question mark on it!
You hear a voice say 'but that's not all!' as you then see the eight ladies
fighting it out, each of them showing their respective matches, towards the
end in all four corners, with each of them coming to an end, with the ref counting
three for all of them at the EXACT same time as they have their arms raised!
The pictures of the woman then go around to show the two brackets with Leena
VS Laura and Melina VS Lady C as you hear the voice say, 'and only one will
be queen of the ring!'.
You then see 'in other matches' with all men in the cross fire match being
listed, showing Jack Happy making his return, Vacamas holding up the US title,
as well as other poses by the various other men in the match, in which you hear
the voice say, 'six men enter, only three will win, but how many, if any, will
survive?'
It then goes to showing Whisper and Fish, facing off, with Whisper suddenly
getting the big over Fish. It then shows Fish getting his revenge over Whisper
the next week, as it then shows both pictures of them, with the cruiserweight
title swinging around them as a voice says, 'only one will be champion!'
Finally, you hear a voice say, 'And last but not least, a rivalry that will
never die' as you see the attack by Low from a few weeks ago, then to many fights
by Mortis and Low, as they all soon fade away to show the last one, leading
up to the iron man match as the voice says, 'two men will enter, but how many
iron men if any, will leave' as it shows Low and Mortis, with the world title
swinging around those two, as the letters AWA on it swing forth, that fading
out to the huge crowd there!
FRANK: WELCOME ladies and gentlemen!! To AWA's King Of The Kage, 2003!!
HERB: What a show we've got tonight. You want to talk action packed, we've
got just that for you. We've got the first round of King Of The Kage. We've
got the AWA's first ever Queen Of The Kage.
FRANK: Not to mention... The Cruiser Weight Title is on the line tonight. And
another AWA's first. A Three Way Cross Fire match. Plus to cap off the evening,
it's Low challenging for the World Title.
HERB: And Mortis challenging for the US.
FRANK: AS they face each other in an Iron Man Match. It's guaranteed to go
for a full hour.
HERB: Ladies and gentlemen, we're being told by are crew in the trailer that
there is some video feed coming down.
FRANK: Hmmmm...maybe it's footage of Dark Warrior! Or how about Prez Gray?
HERB: Well, they're saying it's going up on the TitanTron right now.
(As they look towards the giant screen, it flickers to life. What we see is
a a top-down, profile shot of a hooded figure driving what can only be surmised
as a bus. With every bump the bus drives over, we see the shot blur. As the
bus slows down and the driver downshifts to a stop, we see...him?....raise up
a cloaked arm and cover the lens with a gloved hand.)
FRANK: What the hell was that supposed to mean? Are Sheiks taking over public
transportation now?
HERB: I'm sure that this mystery will be resolved before King of the Kage comes
to a close.
FRANK: I already solved it! What's the mystery there? Anyway, in our first
match of the evening we have two AWA veterans squaring off inside the ring.
The former AWA World Champion, Dark Warrior and the former multiple US, Hardcore,
and Tag Team champion, The Southern Gentleman Snakebite inside the
ring in an attempt to join the others who have advanced in the tournament tonight!
(The crowd erupts as they hear the next competitors names)
HS: I dont know who will come out of this one? Snakebite and Dark Warrior
are no stranger to one another and have clashed many times in the past. But
this time, it is for the title of King of the Kage! Both men seem to be ready
for this moment judging by the comments made in the days leading up to today,
but one has to wonder if the vacation Dark Warrior took has hurt his preparations?
FJ: That is highly unlikely! Dark Warrior has proven his tenacity in the past
and has always been prepared for his matches. He is ready enough to have taken
up the leadership of the directionless Blue Print. He issued what amounted to
a verbal lashing to his stable mates and made it clear that things were going
to change for the stable.
HS: A lot of talent and egos inside that stable as Dark Warrior clashes with
the leader of the Elimination Enterprises, Snakebite. Snakebite is arguably
the most underestimated wrestler of all the big names. In his eyes, he has not
achieved what is possible for him to achieve. But with that achievement comes
a price, he is in this tournament to become King of the Kage. This is something
that has preoccupied the Southern Gentlemans mind during the days leading
up to this. Will the Gentleman return to his Outlaw ways inside that cage? Will
he injure his stable mates if he faces them?
FJ: He should be afraid the man in the other corner of the ring, because Dark
Warrior is one dangerous character.
Hate Me Now by Nas plays and the crowd erupts with a barrage of
boos. Out steps Dark Warrior in a blue and white Jumpsuit ala Kurt Angle. On
his feet is a pair of black boots. Dark Warrior poses on the ramp which prompts
more boos from the Madison Square Garden, before he jogs toward the ring. He
slides into the ring and climbs up to the top turnbuckle absorbing the sounds
of the crowd.
HS: Dark Warrior may be one of the most hated wrestlers in this federation.
FJ: He doesnt mind it and being liked is overrated.
"Big Guns" by AC/DC plays and Snakebite comes out to the entrance
ramp with Nadia at his side. As they make their way to the ring, Snakebite begins
to slow himself, noticing the cage hanging above the ring. Snakebite stops all
together and points up at the cage. He begins talking real fast to Nadia who
is trying her best to calm and finally does so. Finally, after a few moments
of coaxing from Nadia, Snakebite is climbing into the ring.
FJ: Snakebite having to deal with his fears of cages here!
HS: The time is at hand! Snakebite is here and Dark Warrior is inside the ring
beg him to enter and get the match underway.
Snakebite takes off his jacket and hands it to Nadia, but as he extends his
arm she points behind him. As Snakebite turns around, Dark Warrior has dives
through the ropes knocking him to the ground and sending Nadia scurrying away.
Dark Warrior quickly jumps to his feet and begins to kick away at Snakebite.
Snakebite fights to his feet and sends a kick to the midsection of DW. Snakebite
rolls into the ring and DW climbs into the ring prompting the referee to start
the match. The two men lock up and struggle for the advantage. Snakebite takes
the advantage and whips DW into the ropes catching him as he comes off with
an inverted atomic drop. DW hops up and down before being leveled with the lariat.
DW uses a double leg takedown as Snakebite approaches and drops a leg on him.
Snakebite climbs to his feet and DW charges catching him from behind with a
double sledge blow to the back. He is propelled forward but doesnt go
down. DW wheels Snakebite around and throws a big right hand. Snakebite blocks
the blow and responds with a series of knife-edge chops. Snakebite goes to pull
him in but DW catches him with a knee to the midsection. DW quickly attempts
to execute a vertibreaker but Snakebite breaks free and the two men circle each
other warily.
FJ: DW and Snakebite cant gain a clear advantage, as they continue to
go counter for counter inside the ring.
Back inside, Snakebite has DW reeling with a savat kick doubling him over.
Snakebite goes behind and delivers a belly to back suplex. He doesnt release
his grasp and rolls through delivering another one. He rolls through and goes
to execute another and DW delivers a mule kick. Snakebite releases his grasp
and both men sink to the mat attempting to recover from the blows. DW staggers
to his feet and pulls Snakebite up into a snap suplex. Snakebite crashes hard
and is about to pull himself up but seems to get obsessed with the cage hanging
above the ring. DW slowly makes his way back up and springs into the ropes delivering
a running leg drop. DW lays the boots to him and Snakebite begins to snap out
of it. Snakebite struggles to get to his feet under the barrage. DW whips Snakebite
across the ring into the ropes. DW catches Snakebite coming off with a powerslam.
DW pulls Snakebite up only to be brought down by a ddt. Snakebite catches DW
getting to his feet with a series of rolling side Russian leg sweeps. Snakebite
is set ready for DW to get back to his feet and knocks him over the top rope
with a lariat. The crowd explodes as DW flips landing hard on the outside. Snakebite
climbs to the ring apron and leaps off delivering a dropkick that sends DW into
the guardrail. Snakebite returns to his feet and goes to whip DW into the ring
apron, but DW manages to reverse it. Snakebite slams into the ring apron back
first and connects with a desperation sit down powerbomb. Both men are down
on the outside as the referee has begun the count.
HS: Oh my, what a powerbomb!!
Soon both men begin to crawl toward to the ring apron and drag themselves into
the ring. Snakebite struggles to get to his feet in the ring holding the back
of his head. DW charges forward and applies the sleeper hold. Snakebite attempts
to get to free himself from the hold. DW responds by tightening the hold. Snakebite
reaches up grabbing the back of DWs head and drops down delivering a jawbreaker.
Snakebite delivers a gutwrench suplex. DW lands hard near the ropes and uses
them to climb to his feet. Sensing a charging Snakebite, DW pulls the top rope
down and back drops him over the top rope. But Snakebite manages to land on
the ring apron and delivers some shots to the back of the neck. Snakebite enters
the ring and applies the octopus to DW. DW groans in pain as Snakebite applies
the hold. The referee comes over to make Snakebite break the hold. He releases
the hold and DW falls to the mat. Snakebite enters the ring and pulls DW up
into a belly to back suplex.
FJ: DW in trouble
look at Snakebite pulling him up by his face.
Snakebite whips DW into the corner turnbuckle before charging in with the lariat
rocking him back against the turnbuckles. Snakebite muscles DW up to the top
turnbuckle. Snakebite goes to climb up to the top rope and is caught with a
series of right hands before being kicked off. He lands hard as DW adjust himself
poised to strike. Snakebite climbs to his feet and is caught by a diving reverse
ddt. DW rolls over covering Snakebite 1..2.and he kicks out.
HS: That was close! What a terrific counter by DW.
DW waists no time and begins to drag Snakebite to the corner ring post. He
uses the ring post and amazingly applies the Sharp Shooter! The fans boo loudly
at the dirty tactic. Snakebite groans in pain as the referee charges over demanding
the hold be broken. DW complies only under threat of being eliminated from the
competition. Snakebite crawls away from the corner in pain. DW climbs up to
the top turnbuckle and once again waits for Snakebite to return to his feet.
DW leaps off only this time Snakebite catches him with a Savat kick stopping
him in his tracks. He takes DW over with a fisherman suplex and the referee
counts 1..2. and he kicks out. Snakebite gets to his feet and drops the fist
on DW. Snakebite holds his back as he returns to his feet. DW climbs unstably
to his feet. Snakebite launches into his kicks!
FJ: Snakebitten!! Snakebitten!!
Snakebite connects with a kick below the kneecap and another to the ribs. He
spins with a roundhouse kick but DW astutely ducks under the blow. DW executes
an unprettier and both men are down. The fans cheer wildly at the in ring action.
DW drags himself to his feet and applies the Darkness. Snakebite feels the pain
surge through his body and begins to try to drag himself and his opponent to
the ropes. But as he makes a little progress, he looks up into what he fears
so much. The cage looms overhead momentarily stalling his progress. DW rocks
applying more pressure to the legs and Snakebite is forced to return his energy
to escaping the painful hold. The referee asks him if he submits and he bellows
no. Snakebite manages to get to the ropes and force the break. DW breaks the
hold only to pull Snakebite back to the center of the ring. He goes to apply
the darkness again and is met with a kick to the face.
HS: Dark Warrior nearly had the match with the Darkness. Snakebite narrowly
preventing the application of the hold which could have spelled disaster.
DW staggers back holding his face as Snakebite climbs to his feet. Snakebite
charges forward and delivers a running tornado ddt. DW is goes down hard. Nadia
on the outside cheers loudly as Snakebite regains control. DW struggles to get
to his feet and is caught with the barrage of kicks that make up Snakebitten.
DW crashes to the mat hard.
FJ: DW just got Snakebitten! Get up! Get up!
Snakebite covers 1
2
3!! He quickly rolls out of the ring to the
outside holding his injured back and limping away with the assistance of Nadia.
He points up at the cage and looks worried as they leave to the cheers of the
fans.
Herb: In our second match in the King of the Kage contest we have Drake Hyde
going up against Adam Bawm. Drake Hyde is in an interesting position tonight.
If he were to win this tournament and Leena were to win the Queen of the Kage,
the they would be the first husband and wife tandem to both reign at the same
time.
Frank: That isn't going to happen. Adam Bawm is going to handle Drake..
Herb: Like Adam handled Low?
Frank: Yes.. errr.. I mean no, like he will in the re match.
( Herb laughs as TNT by AD/DC begins to play. Drake Hyde walks towardfs the
ring to an incredibly loud cheer by the fans. He slaps hands with them smiling
a big smile, however his eyes take a different story, he looks ready. Drake
pulls on the ropes as he waits for his oppenent. )
Herb: Leena is not with Drake this evening as she is probably in the dressing
room preparing for her own match up.
Frank: Nah, she's just too scared of what the Nuclear Nautilus will do to her
man.
Herb: You're probably the only one besides Adam who thinks that.
Frank: Then we're the only ones who will be right.
( Time Bomb by Godsmack begins and Adam Bawm struts towards the ring. He walks
over to the broadcast booth and slaps a high five with Frank Jackson. He is
wearing his Full length green and blue tights with A-BOMB written down the right
leg and a white tanktop. )
Frank: I'll never wash this hand again.
Herb: What about after the next ladies match?
Frank: I stand corrected.
( Adam and Drake lock up at the sound of the bell. Adam uses his slight size
and power advantage to muscle Drake to the corner. The referee calls for a break
and Adam feints a clean break then punches Drake in the jaw. He whips Hyde off
the ropes, but Drake ducks under a clothesline, puts on the brakes, and drops
Adam with a heavy left. Bawm gets up and is armdragged to the mat. Drake puts
on an armbar as the crowd cheers on the king of television. He climbs to his
feet and continues to work the arm using an armwringer. )
Herb: Drake might have been doing those story time segments but inside of that
ring he is nothing but business.
( Adam however quickly goes to the eyes, raking them. Drake lets go of the
arm. Adam shakes it a few times before removing his shirt and choking Hyde with
it. The crowd boos this move as the referee begins to count. At four Adam releases
the shirt and then snap suplexes Hyde to the mat. A cover only nets a one count.
Adam drops two elbows then pulls Drake back to his feet. He goes for a vertical
suplex, but Drake blocks it. He sets Adam up for his own vertical suplex only
to change it in mid move and plant him with a double underhook brainbuster.
Drake covers and gets a very close two count. Drake shakes his head and then
pulls Adam to his feet throwing him into the corner. He charges in and delivers
a viscous clothesline. Adam slumps in the corner as Drake throws knee after
knee into his midsection. He whips Adam off of the ropes and then catches him
with a backdrop! Adam however hangs on and sunset flips Drake. The referee is
in position and counts, and this gets a close two count as well. Drake climbs
to his feet, looking a little surprised. Adam uses this opportunity to roll
out of the ring. )
Frank: See how smart Bawm is, he is completely stopping any momentum Drake
had, plus he's giving him time to think of just how close that two count was.
Herb: Maybe not.
( Just as Frank was saying that Drake rolled to the floor, slammed Adam's head
off the apron and threw him back in. Drake immediately renetered the ring and
grabbed the dazed Bawm in a crossface chickenwing. He then throws Adam over
hard with the suplex. Adam lands directly on his head and appears to be almost
out. Drake picks him up by the throat and sets him on the top rope. )
Herb: He's going for the memory of D.. this could be it..
Frank: ha ha! Not by a long shot.
( Adam kicked his legs as Drake went for the brainbuster and managed to falls
off of his shoulder and behind Hyde. While Adam landed on his feet Drake wound
up crotched backwards on the turnbuckle. Adam lifted up Drake and then dropped
him down hard with a vicous powerbomb from the turnbuckles! He went for a pin
quickly. The referee counted 1..2.... foot on the ropes. Adam stomped the mat
in anger before going back to work bearhugging the injured Drake Hyde. He worked
the move towards the center of the ring as Drake appeared to be fading fast.
The crowd, sensing this, begins to cheer and chant his name. Adam in response
tightened the hold. The referee went in to check Drake arms. It falls once...
it falls twice.. it stays up the third time! Drake begins to elbow his way out
of the hold however Adam has other ideas and drops the hold and segways into
a clothesline from hell! Adam pulls Drake to his feet, and delivers a second
clothesline from hell! The crowd begins to boo as Adam signals for a third one.
He bounces off both sets of ropes, trying to get that added impact. However
this time Drake ducks and crufixes Adam. The referee counts. 1... only a one.
Adam gets to his feet first and fistdrops Drake before yelling at him and repeating
the move. Adam sends Drake off of the ropes and goes for a backdrop however
Hyde reverses things with a second crufix, but this time Bawm is ready and samoan
drops Drake to the canvas! He walks around the ring pointing at his head with
the "intelligence" gesture as the crowd boos)
Frank: No one is greater than Adam Bawm! He's the smartest man in the AWA!
Herb: If he's so smart why isn't he going for the pin?
( Adam finally does go for a pin. The referee counts 1...2... and a half. Adam
drags Drake to his feet and DDTs him back to the mat. He then positions Drake
between his legs and lifts him up for the meltdown. Drake, sensing the danger
begins to punch away and staggers Bawm who loses his grip. Adam almost falls
over as Drake catches him with a hangman's DDT! The count begins to chant for
Drake again as both men lie on the mat. The referee begins to count 1...2...3...4...5..6...7...8...
Adam gets to his feet and notices Drake is still motionless. He pulls Drake
to his feet and scoops him for a powerslam, but Drake was playing possum and
inside cradles Adam. 1...2... a kick out. Both men quickly get to their feet.
Adam throws a kick which is caught Drake spins him around then catches him with
the superkick as he went full circle! )
Herb: What a great display of counter wrestling we are seeing tonight!
( Adam struggles to his feet looking stunned as Drake hooks in the tazzmission.
Adam fights the hold trying to wriggle out of it but Drake is too strong at
this point. He falls to the mat and reaches the ropes. Drake looks very disappointed
as he drops the hold. He immediately covers Bawm. 1...2... and three quarters
as Adam rolls the shoulder. Drake climbs up to the top rope and then drops his
flipping double knee drop! Drake limps slightly as he makes his way over to
cover Adam. 1...2....3.. no, Adam just got the shoulder up that time. Drake
looks ready to agrue with the official but instead turns his attention back
to Adam. )
Frank: See that Herb, he can't put Adam away!
Herb: Not yet at least, Drake still has plenty of moves left to try out on
Bawm.
( And indeed Drake does as he quickly punishes Adam with the full nelson bomb..
then chains it into a full nelson suplex. He then chains that into the modified
Hyde Walk Slam as he drops Adam chest first across his knee. Adam is crumpled
on the mat holding his midsection as Drake smiles slightly sensing victory.
He hooks up Adam for the Hyde Life. However while in the vertical suplex Adam
has the presense of mind left to hook the ropes with his feet. So instead of
being driven to the canvas with a neckbreaker when Drake drops back the back
of Adam's head hits Drake directly in the face. Adam rolls around on the mat
in pain as Drake tries as well to get up, a trickle of blood flowing from his
nose. Drake, a little stunned, walks directly into the two handed chokeslam
from Adam Bawm. However Adam is too hurt to attempt a cover and he rest on the
mat for awhile, before climbing to his feet and putting on a standing sleeper.
)
Frank: I told you Adam was smart.. he's gaining himself a rest now while wearing
down Drake at the same time. Herb: Need I remind you he wouldn't need this rest
had Drake not inflicted all that punishment on him earlier in the match.
( Adam, feeling he couldn't win with a sleeper, releases the hold and shoves
Drake to the mat. Keeping with the submission theme Adam hooks in his half boston
crab. The crowd boos as Adam seems to have things in hand. Drake uses his arm
strengh to power himself up a little then catches Adam wih free leg breaking
the hold. Adam however goes behind Drake and german suplexes him back down,
holding on for a 1...2... and a half count. Adam tries to chain the germans
but Drake reverses and hits Adam with a wicked dragon suplex! He next scores
with a cradle DDT! The crowd is solidly behind Drake, figuring Adam can take
little more. Drake whips Adam off the ropes, but it is reverses and Adam press
slams Hyde.. right into his knee with a backbreaker. Drake is now in major pain
when suddenly Pour some Sugar On Me begins to play. Dave Santini steps through
the curtain enciting the crowd into a round of booing. )
Herb: Uh oh.. it's the commisioner! That can never be good news.
Frank: I dunno.. He is the commisioner and Dave usually leads to greatness
around here. Let's see what he has in store for..well that I'm not sure..
( While the announcers were talking Adam set up Drake for a Melt Down and this
time he delivers on it! The referee makes his count. 1...2....3... wow, Drake
kicked out, somehow. Adam kicks the ropes, slaps the turnbuckle, then looks
towards the ramp to see Dave Santini applauding. Adam looks mournfully towards
him)
Frank: What was that all about?
( Adam turns his attention back towards Drake, but looks a little distracted.
He plants DRake with a spinebuster, then glaces back to the ramp where Dave
Santini is now walking to the locker room. Adam again looks dejected as he grabs
Drake and lines him up for the Fall Out. He sets him up with his samoan drop
position, only to have Drake turn his throw into a dragon sleeper. Drake tries
for the leg grapevine but Adam shoves him off, then goes for a big splash. The
downed Drake gets the knees up.. Adam bounces to his feet clutching his stomach,
which allows Drake a perfect position to execute his 360 underhook spinning
DDT! Adam lies on the mat but Drake does not cover.Instead he climbs to the
top rope and nails the shooting star legdrop! But there is still no cover. Drake
wants the Hyde Life.. and he gets it! Drake hooks a leg and the referee counts.
1..2...3!)
Announcer: Your winner of the match advancing to the semifinals, Drake Hyde!
Herb: A very impressive and hard fought win for Drake Hyde. He is certainly
on the top of his game tonight. What do you think Frank?
Frank: No comment.
Herb: About time you had nothing to say, I'm glad for you. After that performance
Drake is my pick to advance into the finals. But you have to wonder about Dave
Santini's rationale for appearing at ringside. Either way Adam put in a credible
performance, but Drake was too much on this night.
We cut to a promotional spot for AWA Classic 2003
HERB: Well ladies and gentlemen, this night keeps getting stranger and stranger.
FRANK: Damn creepy is more like it. Just waiting for Michael Myers to come
jumping out somewhere.
HERB: And Dana Carvey too?
FRANK: No you know...Halloween kind of creepy dude. Not that Saturday Night
Buffoon!
HERB: In any event, we're recieving word that the....
FRANK: Who are those freaks on top of the TitanTron and what the hell are they
doing? What is that Herb?
HERB: Well...if you'd let me FINISH, I was about to say that earlier today,
a group representing a certain AWA Superstar instructed AWA officials that they
would be arriving. They were given specific instructions regarding the raising
of a certain emblem within Madison Square Garden.
(As the annoucers watch on, several men dressed simply in T-Shirts and black
Wranglers hoist the object up past the TitanTron. Attaching large cords to the
back of it, they raise it closer to the roof. One of the men whom has a stack
of papers, obviously the leader of this rather nondescript group, barks the
command to stop. Nodding his approval, he leads the crew out as the audience
looks on bewildered.)
FRANK: What the hell?
HERB: Ahhh..the plot thickens!
FRANK: Someone get that unwrapped! I hate mysteries! I want to know and I want
to know RIGHT NOW! This is an outrage!
HERB: If we were to know now, don't you think we would've known now?
FRANK: What? Quit with all that psycho-analytical babble. You're making me
think about every little thing that I say and do.
HERB: Really? Then you should be the most contemplative, considerate person....
FRANK: SHUT UP! Man, Gray is not gonna like this. I'm sure that if there's
ANYONE who can get to the bottom of all this, it will be him.
HERB: Then why isn't he out here right now?
FRANK: He's just getting everything lined up. You watch.
HERB: I fully intend to Frank.
Frank: Well this next match will decide who is going on in the tournament.
Herb: Well duh! What do you think the winner gets? A cookie?
Frank:...I want a cookie...
Herb: Oh shut up!
*"What If" By Creed starts to play as Phoenix walks from behind the
curtain and down the rampway. He begins jogging up to the stairs waving to several
fans as he goes by. He climbs up the stairs and through the middle rope as he
stands on the opposite middle rope posing to the crowd. They give him a very
loud pop as he goes up onto another middle rope. The pop turns to a boo as Big
Bad Blue slips into the ring and studies Phoenix while he's not looking. Blue
then charges forward and closelines him in the back of the neck tumbling him
over the ropes and onto the edge of the apron. Blue climbs through the middle
of the ropes and levels Phoenix in the chest with a swift dropping elbow. Phoenix
stumbles off the apron and onto the outside mats as Blue keeps up the assault*
Herb:What the hell is this! The match hasn't even started yet!
*Blue running axe handles Phoenix in the forehead which doesn't quite knock
him down but it sends him into the ring pole back first. Blue taunts Phoenix
a little before settling him back into the pole with an elbow to the throat.
Blue takes a little to much time taunting this time and he charges at Phoenix
to spear him but Phoenix moves and Blue's shoulder connects with the pole. Blue
groans in pain as Phoenix stumbles away trying to recover. Phoenix walks over
to the announce table and he leans against it catching his breath. Big Blue
stalks over trying to get some revenge on Phoenix but he gets to close and is
caught right between the eyes with a right hand. Blue stumbles back but then
catches himself shoulder diving Phoenix over the top of the Spanish announce
table and onto there laps. Both of the announcers clear as Big Blue grabs one
of the steel chairs and he folds it up. He raises it over his head to hit Phoenix
but instead he hits the announce table as Phoenix moves to the side. Blue takes
a rebound swing and decks Phoenix in the face with the chair*
DING DING DING
Frank: Was Blue disqualified?
Herb:No! They finally signaled the start of the match! About time that damn
referee got out here!
*Blue innocently drops the chair and slides into the ring. He taunts the fans
some more as he waits for Phoenix. Phoenix finally slips into the ring bleeding
from the forehead. Blue lifts his hands high as if to grapple with Phoenix but
instead hits him in the upper body with a stiff boot. The referee warns him
and he simply pushes the referee away. Blue picks up Phoenix by his short hair
and throws him against the ropes he ready's himself as he comes back but Phoenix
get's back into the game and spears Blue in the left knee clipping him. Phoenix
gets up apparently riled up and as Blue charges him he knocks him flat off his
feet with a short arm closeline. Blue gets back up again to his feet and as
Phoenix charges him again he instead ducks the closeline and retorts with a
neckbreaker that shakes the mat with intensity. Blue again quickly tries to
keep Phoenix grounded with a choke hold. Blue lifts Phoenix up slowly still
clawing him around the throat and then he throws Phoenix into the turnbuckle.
Phoenix stays in the turnbuckle as Blue gets to the second rope. He flips off
the crowd and then begins a ten punch. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...Blue jumps down and
delivers a diving punch for number 10. Phoenix falls out of the turnbuckle right
into Blue's grasp where he spinebusters him over the top rope. Phoenix lands
with an awful thud and Blue laughs with satisfaction. Blue slips under the rope
and grabs Phoenix by the hair trash talking to him. He kicks his head to the
side and picks him up by the body. Blue shows his strength by holding Phoenix
over the top of his head for a gorilla press slam. Blue throws Phoenix from
over his head, over the announce table and into the first row of the crowd.
Phoenix lands on a pack of unused seats and is clearly unconscious. Blue again
steps into the crowd taunting Phoenix and proving his point of how good he is.
Blue long arm irish whips Phoenix into the barricade and he is flipped over
it onto the Spanish announcers table. Amazingly it doesn't break*
Herb: What the hell is this? A hardcore match!
*Phoenix lays knocked out on the table bleeding all over the place. Blue picks
up Phoenix by the hair and then drops his head again on top of a monitor. Blue
slides into the ring and shove the referee ordering him to count out Phoenix.
The referee reluctantly starts counting*
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...
Herb: "Get up Pheonix, get up!"
*Phoenix doesn't stir at all.*
10!
DING DING DING
Announcer: Here is your winner by counting out his opponent, Big Bad Bluuuee!
*Blue poses to the crowd as "Boys In the Hood" By Eazy E plays. Blue
walks out of the arena as Phoenix is loaded onto a stretcher and taking off
the side of the stage to the hospital*
Herb: Hopefully Phoenix recovers soon...
Frank: Yes! Woo-hoo! Did you see that gorilla press slam! That was marvelous!
HERB: Well, up next is our last first round King Of The Kage tournament match.
After this, there will be only four.
(Who We B" By DMX blares over the speakers as Nightmist emerges
with his beautiful manager Nightmare. Nightmist slides into the ring to an enormous
pop and awaits his opponent.
"Iron Man" By Black Sabbath plays over the arena as the fans change
there pop to a very disrespecting boo.)
Frank Jackson: These fans are so disgraceful booing a legend like KO Kid!
Herb Summers: Legend? Ha!
(KO Kid slips into the ring and shrugs his shoulders. Nightmist walks toward
the middle the ring his hand outstretched for a hand shake. Obviously KO Kid
doesn't take it but just spits on Nightmists hand. Nightmist get's pissed
and charges him with three overhead right hands to the big man as the bell rings.
Nightmist then knocks KO Kid against the ropes with a knife edge chop. Nightmist
talks some trash to his face and receives a thumb to the eye from his foolishness.
Nightmist stumbles back a few steps and KO Kid knocks him off his feet with
clothesline. Nightmist jumps right back up kicking KO as he jumps up. The big
man falls in the corner and Nightmist capitalizes with a lariat. KO Kid almost
falls over the ropes from the impact but instead, dazed, he walks out of the
turnbuckle. KO Kid turns around and he falls right into a front side Neckbreaker.
Nightmist keeps the momentum by jumping up and scaling the turnbuckle. He slaps
his elbow and then his KO Kid in the throat with a diving elbow drop. Nightmist
talks some more trash to his hated rival and then boxing style jabs him. Nightmist
returns with a left and KO Kid obviously more trained in boxing then retaliates
with a upper cut which knocks Nightmist to his knee's.)
Frank Jackson: So, Nightmist with an early advantage, but KO Kid has dropped
Nightmist to his knees!
(KO Kid rears back and delivers a damaging right knee to the face of Nightmist.
Nightmist falls to the mat and KO Kid begins to stomp at him.)
Herb Summers: Whoa, whats this all about?
(Nightmare gets up on the ring apron and attracts the attention of KO Kid.
He glares at Nightmists manager and begins to walk over to her. The two
start to bicker and the referee gets in between them. The referee motions for
Nightmare to get off of the ring apron, but she refuses. Nightmist gets up and
runs into KO Kid, sending him into the referee. Nightmare moves to the side
and the referee goes flying through the ropes crashing to the outside. Nightmare
quickly reaches under the ring and grabs a steel chair. She slides the steel
chair underneath the ring ropes to the anticipating Nightmist. He grabs the
chair and whallops KO Kid in the cranium as he turns to Nightmist from the mat.
KO Kid collapses to the mat.)
Herb Summers: What a chair shot!!
Frank Jackson: Does it really have to come to this?
Herb Summers: Come on Frank, King of the Kage is on the line! You know anything
goes!
(Nightmist isnt finished with the chair and holds it in hand waiting
for KO Kid to get up. KO Kid is face down trying to pull himself up after a
damaging chair shot. Blood begins to spew from his forehead. He gets up on his
hands and knees, but before he can get himself up, Nightmist nails him in the
back of the head with another hard chair shot. Blood cascades the mat as KO
Kids skull bounces off of it. The referee begins to stir and Nightmare
attends to him. She helps the groggy referee into the ring as Nightmist disposes
of the chair. Nightmist rolls KO Kid over and covers him. The referee is slow
to make the count.)
Frank Jackson: 1! . . . 2! . . . What a bastard!
(Nightmist pulls KO Kids head up, stopping the count.)
Herb Summers: Easy on the language Frank.
Frank Jackson: Its a DAMN pay-per-view Herb.
(Nightmist picks him up by his head and throws him into the ropes. KO Kid comes
running back straight into a Sky High. Nightmist wastes no time and mounts KO
Kid and begins to punch wildly at his head. Blood begins to get on the forearms
of Nightmist with each blow to the skull. The referee pleads with Nightmist
to get off of KO Kid, but Nightmist refuses. Nightmist finally gets up off of
KO Kid, who grabs his face in pain. Nightmist places a choke hold on the fallen
KO Kid. The referee begins to count to five at Nightmist. He pays no attention
to the count and continues to choke out KO Kid. KO Kid pokes Nightmist in the
eye, breaking the hold. KO Kid springs up with a burst of energy. Nightmist
runs at him and tries to clothesline him, but KO Kid ducks and gives him a HUGE
super kick.)
Frank Jackson: He just about kicked Nightmists head clean off!
(KO Kid, still mounting momentum, picks Nightmist up and throws him to the
ropes. He catches him on the rebound and delivers a spine buster. KO Kid motions
to the crowd for the Amplifier.)
Frank Jackson: Here it comes!
Herb Summers: Is it to early?
(KO Kid picks Nightmsit up off of the mat, places him in between the legs,
holds up his arms, and then picks him up into the air. He holds him up in the
air for a while, before crashing him down to the . . .)
Herb Summers: Nightmist reverses the Amplifier (Last Ride)!
(Nightmist uses KO Kids momentum before he can slam him to the mat and
swings his legs off of the neck of KO Kid. He grabs the head of KO Kid and slams
it into the mat with a DDT on the way down. KO Kid kind of delivers the Amplifier,
but Nightmist DDTs him in the progress. The two lay motionless on the mat.)
Frank Jackson: Whos going to get up first? Whos got the momentum?
(Both men begin to stir, fighting to get up. They get up around the same time
and meet each other in the center of the ring. The two begin to scuffle. Nightmist
lands a few right hands, but KO Kid blocks one and kicks Nightmist twice in
the stomach. He grabs him and delivers a hard scoop slam, placing Nightmist
firmly in the middle of the ring. KO Kid immediately gets up on the top rope
and points down to Nightmist.)
Herb Summers: Hes 70 tall and 290. What the hell is
he doing up there?
Frank Jackson: This could be good. Oh no, not again!
(Nightmare quickly gets up on the ring apron and pulls down on the top rope
next to the turnbuckle and KO Kid collapses onto the turnbuckle clutching his
jewels. Nightmist gets up and begins to punch at KO Kid as he sits on the top
rope. Nightmist climbs up to the top rope and props KO Kid up with him. He then
delivers a top rope brain buster, leaving KO Kid motionless in the center of
the ring.)
Herb Summers: The Major LetDown!
Frank Jackson: Hey, its not Bull Majors!
Herb Summers: Well, what do you call it?
(Nightmist makes the cover and the referee makes the count. 1! . . . 2! . .
. 3!)
Herb Summers: "Nightmist has advanced! Nightmist has advanced!"
Frank Jackson: "But what is he doing now?"
(Nightmist is seen rolling out of the ring and retrieving something from Nightmare.
He rolls back into the ring unfurling a black body bag with KO Kid's name on
it!)
Frank Jackson: "Oh my Goodness, no! It is a BODY BAG!"
Nightmist drops down on KO Kid and rains down right hands before rolling him
in the bag and zipping him inside. Nightmist rolls back out of the ring and
stalks over to the announce table. He grabs Franks headset from his head and
puts it on.)
Nightmist: "Enforcers! NPD! You want to keep talking about what you are
going to do to Nightmist! Take a long hard look at what awaits you all! KO is
the first but he won't be the last!"
(He tosses the headphones into Frank's lap before stalking away with Nightmare
trailing behind.)
Herb: "Well, I am just as excited about this match as I was the last!
Once again, we get to see Queen of the Kage action!"
Frank: "Well, Melina Duran has been training a lot for this match up.
She is fully prepared to be the next Queen of the Kage."
Herb: "But she has to get through a solid competitor in Lady C."
Frank: "Lady C, like all members of the NPD, has been unusually quiet
coming into this match up. I think this has been the first week in over three
months that we haven't seen anyone in the NPD on the front page of the newspaper!"
Herb: "That was actually kind of funny, Frank."
Frank: "Just reading the teleprompter."
*'Wangsta' by 50 Cent hits the P.A. and out struts Tim the Giant's manager.
The small Latina recieves a good pop from the men in the audience. Especially
since she is wearing the tiniest little bikini money could buy. Of course, matching
her tiny top. NPD is written on each cup of her bikini bra. She slides into
the ring and begins stretching, waiting anxiously for her opponent.*
Herb: "Yowza. Ay Mommy."
Frank: "I bet she looks even better in a bright orange body suit."
Herb: "Those hits just keep on rolling in."
Frank: "God bless digital television."
*Half-Cocked's version of 'I Lied' hits and the crowd erupts.*
Herb: "It's obvious who's the fan favorite in this match."
Frank: "Yeah, the teleprompter screen. Have I ever said how much women's
matches bore me?"
Herb: "That's such a fruity thing to say."
*Melina Duran jumps out with much hype. Her leather pants attract the attention
of the imaginative viewer, while her fiery attitude and excitement get even
the most placcid of fans pumped up. She then catches the eye of Lady C. and
charges the ring, sliding in head first.*
Herb: "Melina has something to prove tonight."
Frank: "She said she wants to make quick work of Lady C., to be fresh
for the cage. Let's see if she can keep her end of the bargain."
*Lady C. isn't prepared for Melina, and pays dearly. Not only does Melina get
to her feet safely, but she quickly lands a spinning heel kick right to Lady
C.'s forehead. Lady C. tries to get up quickly, but Melina is just too prepared.
Melina kicks Lady C. in the side, on the legs and ribs, varying heights. Lady
C. manages to block a few kicks, but not the open palm strike that Melina thumps
her in the chest with.*
Frank: "Melina Duran is on fire. I guess she didn't lie after all."
Herb: "Our writing staff is impressing me for a change."
Frank: "Actually, that was my own."
Herb: "Really?"
Frank: "No."
*Melina whips Lady C. into the ropes, but Lady C. counters. As Melina bounces
off the ropes, Lady C. finally gets some offense in, catching Melina with a
drop toe hold. As both women get up, Lady C. continues to assault Melina with
a barrage of chops. She then rears back and slaps Melina hard on the face. WHACK!*
Herb: "Lady C. is finally getting something going here."
Frank: "Or not."
Herb: "I see your point."
*Melina rubs the side of her face, and, thriving on the pain, smiles at Lady
C. The NPD diva's eyes grow wide as Melina Duran grapevines her and locks in
a Dragon Sleeper. She continues the hold for a few moments, when Lady C. finally
rakes Melina's eyes. Her long nails leave bright red scratch marks on Melina's
face.*
Frank: "Hmm, now that was a move. Fiesty."
Herb: "Let's just hope that this doesn't turn into a hair pulling cat
fight."
*Herb's worries are vanquished as Melina pouts up her lips, then bites them.
Finally she lets out a very loud 'Bitch!' and charges dead at Lady C. She then
stops directly in front of Lady C., who is squinting and retracting back, expecting
a hard blow. She opens one eye slightly to see Melina Duran standing before
her. Melina is putting on lipstick!*
Frank: "Oh, now I've seen everything."
*The crowd erupts, knowing what to expect next. Suddenly Melina grabs Lady
C., who is too confused right now to really fight it off, and plants her kisser
right onto Lady C.'s lucious lips. The crowd erupts in a flashbulb frenzy.*
Herb: "HLA! HLA! HLA!"
*The crowd agrees with Herb and an 'HLA!' chant begins, all the while Melina
has whipped Lady C. into the ropes and begun heading for the opposite turnbuckle.
With a shear display of agility, Melina leaps up ontop of the turnbuckle and
lands a huge spinning heel kick to Lady C. on the rebound.*
Frank: "HLA! I mean..."
Herb and Frank: "FINAL FANTASY!"
*As the crowd cheers her on, Melina covers for the pin. ONE! TWO! THREE!*
Herb: "Melina Duran just pulled off the big win and advances to the Queen
of the Kage finals."
Frank: "Match time, three minutes eleven seconds. I'd say, promise kept."
*Lady C. exits, and soon Melina follows, after a nice round of applause and
cheers.*
We cut to another promotional spot for AWA Classic 2003
Leena wastes no time in charging forward delivering a dropkick to the knee
of Laura taking her off her feet. Laura fends off gets back to her feet and
connects with forearm shot to the jaw. Leena staggers backward before lashing
out with a big time right hand. Laura lays in a series of Road Dog style punches
with the last one connecting after she blows a kiss. Leena is taken off her
feet with the blow. Leena is up quickly and Laura charges forward with the lariat.
Leena ducks under the arm and delivers an X-Factor. Leena hurries into the ropes
and comes off delivering a drop kick that sends Laura tumbling out of the ring.
Laura lands hard and Sauvio aids her back to her feet. Laura climbs up on the
ring apron and as Leena approaches she launches herself over the top rope connecting
with a flying body press. The referee dropped to the mat and counts 1..and a
quick kickout.
HS: These women are showing just why they have worn the gold.
Back inside the ring, Laura connects with a roundhouse kick leveling Leena.
She quickly applies a camel clutch to Leena. Leena reaches out trying to grasp
the ropes. The referee checks to see if she quits. Leena makes it to the ropes
breaking the hold. Both women return to their feet and lock up. Leena manages
to gain control and floats around to apply the cobra clutch. Leena executes
a cobra clutch suplex. She then pulls Laura up as she throws Laura to the ropes,
but Laura comes back with a lariat, with Leena ducking, then as she turns around,
Leena kicks her and goes for a ¾'s neck breaker! She covers, but only
gets a one counter as she pulls Laura up again, then throws her to the ropes,
but Laura reverses, holds on and pulls Leena back to a knee to the ribs and
then an implant DDT! She pulls Leena up again, and then brings her down for
ANOTHER implant DDT! She still holds on, pulls Leena up again and brings her
down for a third implant DDT, then covers, 1.................2.....but Leena
kicks out!
Herb: Laura REALLY wants to win it tonight! Last month she showed the world
she is a true champion in which she beat Leena to the surprise of many!
Frank: Just like she will beat that LOSER leena tonight!
Herb: Loser? She is a WINNER for being here in this match!
Frank: Bah, she lucked out, that's all. Her opponent wasn't feeling well, had
a few injuries, and she held her tights!
Herb: What?!
Laura pulls Leena up, then throws her to the ropes, and as Leena comes back
brings her down with a swift roundhouse kick! Leena gets up again, only for
a chop by Laura, and then another and a third, making Leena take a few steps
back. She goes for yet another, having Leena hold her chest and other parts
of her body to the guys delight as Laura then grabs her, and looks to throw
her to the ropes again, but Leena holds on, jumps on the ropes and jumps off
catching Laura for a swinging jumping DDT! She stands up again, as she jumps
to the second rope and off for a moonsault on Laura but Laura rolls away, only
for Leena to jump to another rope and off that for a missile drop kick to Laura,
knocking her down! She then goes up to the top rope and in one fluid motion
jumps off nailing Laura with a swanton bomb! She then rolls to her feet as she
runs to the ropes, jumps to the top one, and over for a moonsault on Laura!
She covers, 1...............2......kick out! Leena stands up, as she then kicks
Laura in the ribs and goes for a rocker dropper, but Laura stands up, as Leena
flips around as Laura then picks Leena up for a suplex, as Leena then turns
around in mid air and falls behind her, only for Laura to elbow Leena stiffly
in the face then turn around and pick her up for a suplex, then bring her down!
She then pulls Leena up again for another suplex and then brings her down for
a second one, then pulls her up yet AGAIN for a third one, before finally bringing
her down almost for a variation of a face buster! She then rolls backward to
her feet as she jumps up to the top rope and off for a flying head butt onto
the back of the head of Leena! Laura is stunned for about a good ten seconds
from the impact she took, but then crawls over and rolls Leena over for a cover,
1.................................2.....Leena kicks out! Laura is surprised
but she then goes to the top rope, then waits for Leena to get up before launching
off for a corkscrew plancha, only for Leena to suddenly grab her in mid air
and swirl her around onto her head for a tombstone piledriver! Leena then falls
on top of her, as the ref counts, 1....................2......kick out by Laura!
Herb: Neither of these ladies want to give up tonight! They are giving everything
they got!
Frank: Bah, you see there, that showed how pathetic leena is. Had she hooked
the leg, maybe, just MAYBE she would have won.
Herb: She was still dazed by the offense she took from Laura!
Frank: Oh boo hoo! That's her own fault!
Leena begins to get up, as Laura does as well, slower than Leena. Leena then
throws Laura to the turnbuckle, then runs full force, only for Laura to leap
over to the ropes to the outside, as Leena puts on the breaks, grabs the turnbuckle,
does a head stand and throws her feet over to Laura and whips her inside with
a head scissors! She then jumps up to the top, and launches off for a flying
double knee drop with Laura's head moving out of the way at the last second
as you see Leena grit in pain on the impact her legs took. She then stands up
as Laura suddenly grabs her by the throat, picks her up, as far as she can and
plants her with a choke slam!!!!!
Herb: Oh my god! That has to be the FIRST ever woman choke slam in history!
Frank: And a lousy one at that!
Herb: Can't you look at the positive like I did?
Frank: Not when a negative, like Leena just now kicking out of two happens!
Leena has kicked out as the fans are on their feet in surprise at that move.
Laura pulls Leena up, then throws Leena but Leena holds on yet again then pulls
Laura forward for a dangerous DDT! You see Laura go head first like a bullet
into the ring, as she crumples on her face, as Leena then rolls her over and
covers, 1..................2......kick out! Leena looks surprised as do the
fans, but pulls Laura up, only to get rolled into a small package, 1..........2........3!
It's three, no! The ref holds his arm up for two!
Herb: So close!
Frank: What do you mean? It was three!
Leena stands up as does Laura and ducks a lariat, as Laura moves out of the
way of a dropkick to the knee, then goes for a rising knee to the face of Leena,
only for Leena to catch it, as Laura falls to the mat, then steps over for a
one legged boston crab! She continues to apply pressure, with Laura trying to
find a way out of it, before finally uses her one free leg to stand up, and
then kicking up in Leena's face, breaking the hold, then as Leena walks around,
holding her face, runs to the ropes and off for a flying body press covering
Leena but Leena rolls over, 1..............2.....kick out! Laura and Leena stand
up again, as Leena then jumps up for a hurricanrana, swinging Laura around,
only for Laura to roll forward her into a pinning position, in which Leena rolls
it back, then turns around and holds her down, 1......................2............3!
Leena falls off, looking exhausted form this exchange of holds as Laura lays
there, looking surprised she lost!
Herb: Reversal after reversal has come to the ultimate reversal that got Leena
the victory!
Frank: Bah, she just was lucky. Plus she held the tights!
Herb: What ARE you talking about? That was a DEFINITE clean victory!
Frank: Sure, sure and look at that, stupid sportsmanship!
Herb: It's sweet, and it's sportsWOMANship!
Frank: Whatever, whatever!
Herb: In our next contest the Fish will be defending his cruiserweight championship
against Whisper.
Frank: You got that wrong, Whisper will be defending the cruiseweright champion
against the Fish.
Herb: What? He's not the champion, he just stole the title!
Frank: Hey possession is nine tenths of the law.
Herb: Why do I even bother with you? We're getting word something is happening
backstage, let's cut to it.
( A knock is heard on the locker room door of the Fish. He opens it up and
see the cruiserweight title belt sitting outside of his dressing room. He picks
it up and looks it over checking to see if Whisper had damaged it while it was
in his possession. He doesn't see Whisper blindsiding him with a knee to the
back though sending the Fish head first into a wall! Whisper then slams the
locker room door on the head of the Fish, leaving him in a heap on the ground.
Whisper kneels beside Fish and whispers something in his ear before picking
up the title, and dragging it behind him as he walked towards the ring. )
Herb: What a cheap shot! Whisper should be ashamed of himself for stooping
to that level!
Frank: What are you smoking? He's a freaking genius! Now looks Whisper is in
the ring and the Fish is still laid out backstage. Whisper is going to get an
easy title win!
( The Toadies begin to play but no one appears from the back. The crowd boos
as Whisper smiles and hold up the title, then drops it to the ground. The referee
goes over to talk to the ring announcer who starts to speak)
Announcer: The official has ruled that unless The Fish comes to the ring within
the next thirty seconds he will forifet the cruiserweight championship.
( The announcer begins his countdown)
Herb: This is a miscarriage of justice. The referee doesn't know about that
assault in the dressing room and as a result of it, Whisper is about to steal
the championship, again!
( At the count of 15, The Fish staggers through the curtain, bleeding from
a cut on his scalp. He looks to be in bad shape but the fans cheer loudly as
he rolls into the ring starting the match!)
Herb: What heart the Fish has!
Frank: He's dumb.. he should have saved himself more pain and stayed in the
back!
( The bell rings and Whisper immediately clotheslines the weakened Fish to
the mat, then drops some knees onto his head. Whisper sends the Fish off of
the ropes and nails a high knee to the face! He covers, hooking a leg but only
nets a two count. Whisper whisp Fish hard into the corner and he colapses to
the mat. He scoops up the Fish again and whips him across the ring to another
corner. He charges in this time but the Fish is able to get a boot up. Whisper
staggers backwards, but he is still in better shape with the Fish and capitalizes
with some shoulderblocks in the corner. He sets the Fish up on the top turnbuckle
and brings him crashing down to the canvas with a franksteiner off of the top
rope! He goes over for the cover. The referee counts. 1..2... and Fish weakly
kicks out.)
Frank: Whisper should have hooked a leg there and he'd have had him.
Herb:Yeah but this Fish is tough.
( Whisper bounces off of the ropes and springboards off of the second one to
deliver a twisting legdrop. He covers again. 1..2.. and three quarters. Whisper
picks up the Fish and nails his electric chair drop into the turnbuckles! )
Frank: What a move by Whisper. Let's see the Fish get up after that one!
( The Fish does not appear to be getting up anytime soon yet Whisper this time
is slow to capitalise. He instead goes to the floor and grabs the cruiserweight
title belt. He sets it on the Fish mockingly. The referee takes the title belt
away and returns to the floor allowing Whisper to low blow the Fish with a straight
right hand. The crowd boos at this cheap shot. )
Herb: That was unnecessary!
( Whisper pulls the Fish to his feet, and then charges him with a cross body.
He connects with the Fish driving him right into the referee. Whisper kicks
the ref to make sure he's out cold then smiles. )
Herb: This can't be good for the Fish.
Frank: Yeah, but you gotta admire Whisper. He cheats like a pro!
( Whisper rolls out and grabs a steel chair. He sets it on the downed Fish
then he scores with a standing senton. Not content he grabs the chair himself
and climbs to the top rope. He holds onto the chair and goes for the shooting
star sacrafice. The Fish rolls out of the way at the last second and Whisper
hits the canvas hard knocking himself for a loop! The crowd cheers loudly at
this impact and encourage the Fish to get up. )
Herb: This is the Fish's chance! He has to take advnatage of this situation!
Frank: Neither of them are moving much thought. It's been almost a minute,
and finally Whisper is is the first to his feet and he's got that chair.
( Whisper swings with the weapon but the Fish ducks and dropkicks it back into
his face. The Fish grabs the chair and hits Whisper with it, he readies himself
for a second shot, then shakes his ehad and tosses the chair to the floor.)
Frank: That was a dumb move! He should have whaled him while he had the chance!
Herb: Some people have integery!
( The Fish snapmares down Whisper and then dropkicks him right in the face.
While Whisper is on his back the Fish mounts the turnbuckles and comes off with
a flipping leg drop! He then goes over to the official attempting to revive
him. While Fish is successful is waking up the referee, Whisper rolls him up
from behind and puts his feet on the ropes. The referee begins his count. 1.....2.....3...)
Herb: This an outrage!
( However just as Herb was speaking the referee noticed that Whisper's feet
were on the ropes and as soon as Whisper raised his head the referee lowered
it. Whisper pushed the official as the Fish get to his feet seeing red. He rushes
Whisper dropping him with a russian leg sweep. The Fish then motioned at Whisper
to get up and nailed him with a headscissors takedown! He clapms on the headscissors,
causing Whisper considerable pain juding by the look on his face as he pounded
forearms to the body of Whisper as well. Releasing the hold Fish again motioned
for Whisper to get up, and as he get he brought him down this time with a hurricarana!
The Fish cradled the legs for a pin. 1..2...3.. no, shoulder up. Fish grabs
Whisper pulling him to his feet and planting him with a bulldog! He yanked Whisper
straight back up, downing him with a DDT! The Fish hooked a leg and covered.
1..2... and 9 tenths. )
Herb: The Fish has finally recovered from that brutal pre match beating and
he's starting to take it to the challenger!
Frank: I wouldn't count Whisper out either!
( The Fish again waits on Whisper but he makes him pay this time with a punch
to the stomach. He whips Fish off of the ropes but the Fish uses the ropes to
deliver his springboard crossbody block. The referee counts. 1...2... Whisper
kicks out. The Fish climbs to the bottom rope and comes off with a sunset flip.
1..2... another kick out. Still trying to finish the Fish armdrags Whisper into
a roll up. 1...2... Whisper rolls though and grabs the tights. 1..2.. Fish kicks
out anyways! Whisper rolls to the floor trying to catch a breather but the Fish
gives him nonwe flying over the top rope with a asai moonsault! The Fish rolls
back in when the ref asks him to but Whisper grabs the title belt and starts
to walk out on the match. )
Frank: Ha ha! Looks like he'll remain belt holder.
Herb: The Fish definately has something to say about that, he is giving chase.
( The Fish grba sWhisepr from behind by the ahri while they are on the ramp
and drags him towards the ring, too bad Whisper still has the belt and delivers
a glancing blow that stuns the Fish. He rolls him back in and covers. 1..2..
Fish kicks out.)
Herb: Everytime the Fish gets ahead Whisper takes a short cut.
Frank: I know, it's great!
( Whisper then nails the Fish with his german suplex into the pin. 1...2....
and a half. Whisper goes up top looking to finish off the Fish. He goes for
another shooting star press but this one works out no better than the first
as Fish gets the knees up! The crowd erupts as Fish uses a half nelson cradle
for the 1..2..3.. not quite. Fish quickly nails a tornado DDT thought and then
follows it up with a big splash for another pin attempt. 1..2... no! The Fish
nails the jumping piledriver! Whisper does seem to have anything left as the
Fish nails the flying fish, his shooting star legdrop! The Fish stands right
up asking the fans if they want to see the Deep Sea driver, they respond positively.
However Whisper responses to his attempt at it with a backdrop. Whisper drops
to the mat still hurt as Fish holds his head in pain. )
Herb: This has been a great match!
Frank: Finally you said something I agree with.
( Whisper and the Fish begin to trade punches with Whisper having the heavier
hands, or the early head shot are still effecting The Fish. The Fish drops to
a knee as Whisper lines up then delivers the whisper in the wind. Whisper returns
once again to the top rope finally hitting a move of it, his cockscrew moonsault.
Whisper grabs the Fish, bring him towards the middle of the ring and nails the
Silencer! He covers using his elbow as the referee counts 1...2...3.. no the
Fish got his shoulder up! Whisper can't believe it! )
Herb: The Fish is showing his desire tonight.
Frank: What does Whisper have to do to put him away?
( Whisper stalking around the ring for a few second planning his next move.
He finally pullas the Fish to his feet and sets him on the top turnbuckle perparing
for the Eavesdrop. He vaunts over the Fish and then sets him in pedigre position!
The Fish however has a little strengh left and shoves Whisper out of the ring
to the floor! He lands hard on his back as the crowd chants "holy sh*t".
)
Frank: You'd think with all these tens of thousands of fans they could come
up with an original chant!
( The Fish sits on the top turnbuckle, hurt, as Whisper rolls around on the
floor in some serious pain. Finally Fish recovers and dives to the floor taking
out Whisper with a 450 splash! Both men are nearly motionless as the infamous
chant begins again. The refere begins to count both men out 1..2...3...4...5...
the boos rise as the referee counts.. 6..7...8...9.. he elects to stop counting
bringing a cheer. After a few more seconds the Fish uses the barrier to pull
himself to his feet. He delivers a couple of kicks to the downed Whisper before
rolling him back into the ring. He climbs up top and nails the tidal wave, however
Whisper must have had something left as he managed to grabs the referee on his
way down and use him to partly break his fall. The Fish doesn't even notice
this so foccused is he on Whisper, he quickly nails the Deep Sea Driver and
then notices the official is out cold. The Fish slaps the mat three times, the
crowd counting along. )
Herb: The Fish should have just successfully retained his championship here!
And now he's going to the floor and finally getting his hands on the cruiserweight
championship again!
( The Fish did indeed roll out of the ring and grab the title and he holds
it in the air for a few second, enjoying the cheers of the crowd. He then carefully
sets the title belt in his corner, then checks on the referee. Whisepr however
rolls out of the ring and then sneaks up on Fish, blasting him from behind with
the ring bell! He looks over towards the announce table and FRank catches his
eye. )
Frank: Um.. Herb.. Wait here a minute.. I got to go get some popcorn..
Herb: You wish..
(Both announcers back away as Whisper nails his reverse cradle DDT onto the
table! He rolls the Fish back into the ring and makes a cover. The referee slowly
crawls over to count. 1.......2........3!)
Announcer: Your winner of the match and NEW AWA cruiserweight champion, Whisper!
( Whisper pulls himself to his feet and kicks the title out of the ring, walking
to the back dragging it behind him.)
Herb: I hope this isn't over. Whisper didn't deserve that win in the slightest!
Frank: He outthought the AWA's resident goody goody and he deserves that title.
Herb: And look at how he's disrespecting it. The Fish will most certainly be
looking for revenge after that one.
(Nightmist is seen lurking in a bathroom stall. From the look in his eyes it
is obvious that he wasn't satisfied with the damage already done to his opponent
from earlier in the show. He waits for the KO Kid to enter. We see KO enter
into the bathroom to do his business. He walks to the urinal and does his business.
He then goes to wash his hands at the sink. But before he can get there, Nightmist
explodes out of the stall and levels him from behind with a double axe handle
shot to the back. Nightmist wastes no time delivering lefts and rights on the
happless Kid. He stands and drives home a few kicks to the midsection before
pulling him up from the floor. He sends him crashing through one of the bathroom
stall doors knocking it off its hinges. Inside the stall, KO is crumpled by
the bowl.)
Nightmist: "You wanted this KO! Remember your own words? "The Elimination
Enterprises is full of weak wrestlers!" How weak do I appear to you now,
KO!"
(He sends another boot to the ribs)
Nightmist: "I think it is you who look weak! It is you who is curled up
in the fetal position."
(He wallks picks up the broken door and slams it down on KO)
Nightmist: "Take the hint, KO! Shut up or be silenced, it is your choice!
But the next time, I won't leave you in a conscious state."
(Nightmist leaves him bleeding on the tiled floor. He exits through the bathroom
door slamming it behind him.)
HERB: Well, I guess Nightmist has has just delivered the final notice to KO
Kid.
FRANK: What is it with people always attacking someone in the bathroom.
'T.N.T' plays out to a HUGE pop as Drake Hyde steps out towards the ring. You
can see he is a bit winded from his last match with Bawn, but otherwise seems
pretty good as he walks down the ring, tagging fans along the way.
Herb: Here he comes, a former nearly everything and the current TV champion.
Also, one of the VERY few men, if not the only man who has been in King of the
Kage the past three years!
Frank: Yep, and he has yet to win one of them!
Herb: That's yet to be seen Frank.
Drake slides in the ring as he goes against the ropes, and awaits for his opponent.
'Big GUns' plays out, to another big pop as Snakebite begins to walk, slowly,
down to the ring. He also seems a bit winded, but that is not what is slowing
him down, but rather, the cage!
Herb: Poor Snakebite, he deems himself a technical wrestler, and what does
he see over his head? A cage!
Frank: Boo hoo! So theres a little cage up there, so what?!
Snakebite makes his way to the ring, staring up at the cage for a few seconds.
Eventually, he shakes his head, as he slides in, then gets in Hyde' s face as
the bell sounds! Snakebite wastes no time as he begins to level Hyde with several
punches to the face of Hyde!
Herb: Despite him being a technical wrestler, Snakebite can't stand what Hyde
did to his brother and he may be fighting for him tonight!
Snakebite throws Drake towards the ropes, then as he comes back, catches him
with a tight sleeper! Drake though immediately elbows Snakebite to loosen it,
then swings around him, for a sleep of his own! Snakebite will have none of
this, as he pulls Drake Hyde off his feet, and brings him down hard for a german
suplex! He then rolls over and brings Drake down for another! He then rolls
over again but grabs Drake for a reverse DDT then brings him down hard onto
his knee! Snakebite continues to hold on for a headlock onto his knee, stretching
Drake's neck out over his knee!
Frank: I hate Snakebite. I hate Hyde. But I have to give Snake credit, he is
continually going for the neck!
And that he does as Snakebite pulls Hyde up, only to bring Hyde's neck back
down again, on his knee, before letting go! Snakebite then rolls Hyde over as
he knees Hyde in the neck, and again, and a third time before he lays on top
of him with a sleeper type hold! It isn't a full sleeper though, only a move
to wear down Hyde's neck, as he places his weight on top of Hyde, making it
hard for Hyde to move or breathe! Snakebite then pulls Hyde up, by his neck,
placing his knee against the lower of Hyde's back! Hyde is seen trying to fight
out of it, and looks to do so, as Snakebite then changes the move again, right
into a variation of a camel clutch! He pulls up heavily as Hyde tries to break
out of yet another hold, only for Snakebite to pulls Drake Hyde up to a bent
over position, run, and plant Hyde face first with a bulldog!
Herb: Man, what an unbelievable smooth set of moves! Snakebite has totally
concentrated on the neck and back of Drake, not giving Drake a second to break
through this technical brilliance!
Snakebite goes to pull Drake Hyde up again, but then stops as he looks up,
seeing the cage. Snakebite then suddenly pauses, letting go of Drake and taking
a few steps back. Drake takes this advantage to leap up, then nails Snakebite
who finally turns back to Drake in the jaw with a super kick! Drake then runs
to the ropes and comes back for a jumping leg drop, then stands up and does
a standing leg drop! Drake stands up again and nails an elbow to the face of
Snakebite, before he pulls the Texan up and throws Snakebite to the turnbuckle,
then runs full force with a stunning clothesline into it, then as Snakebite
walks out, brings him down with a running knee to the face, right into the turnbuckle
again, sitting almost with the second rope. Drake then pulls Snakebite out,
and holds him up for a double under brain buster before bringing him down! Drake
holds onto it though, as he knees Snakebite REPEATEDLY in the face before he
throws Snakebite up back into the turnbuckle, with the back of Snakebite's head
almost striking it before he kicks Snakebite again, gets him in another double
underhook and then spins Snakebite around for a vicious 360 double underarm
DDT! He covers Snakebite 1.............2......but Snakebite kicks out! Drake
immediately stands up, as he pulls Snakebite up, then throws Snakebite into
the turnbuckle chest and face first. Snakebite lays there as Drake then runs
to the ropes, bounces off and back towards Snakebite before leaping for a splash,
only for Snakebite to move out of the way and almost push Drake's head as Drake
flies face first into the turnbuckle! Drake then bounces off as he walks around
stunned, as Snakebite suddenly grabs Drake with the claw, picks him up, and
plants him with a variation of a Southern Comfort!
Herb: Snakebite just used his brothers finishing maneuver!
Frank: Bah, he doesn't have near the height or power as his brother has. He
was barely able to get him in the air!
Herb: True, but he has been working on Drake's neck and back the entire time
and that's where Drake just landed as Snakebite covers!
1..................2.........Drake's foot is on the ropes!
Snakebite sees this in a bit of surprise, then looks up for a moment, seeing
the cage again, as he pauses. He then shakes his head as he stands up again,
pulling Drake up, but Drake reverses Snakebite who is STILL looking up at the
cage the entire time. He FINALLY looks back down just in time to duck under
a clothesline by Drake, then as Drake turns around, jumps on the ropes and over
for a sort of neck breaker! He then turns Drake Hyde over, as he locks on a
standing headlock, then jumps and brings Drake Hyde down in the middle of the
ring with a standing, jumping bulldog! He then immediately locks on a crossface
on Drake Hyde! The fans are split, many cheering for Snakebite, but more now
routing Drake Hyde on! Snakebite pulls back even further on the injured neck
of Drake, as Drake looks to find some sort of reversal! Drake tries to pull
Snakebite's legs apart, but Snakebite seems to have him together tightly, as
Drake looks for another counter! He suddenly rolls Snakebite over on his back,
in which the ref counts, 1.........2.......but Snakebite rolls him around again
back into the move! He pulls up again, with Drake coughing now, trying to fight
out of it. Drake now sees the ropes, that the roll between the two has gotten
him a lot closer too. He begins to try to move himself, slowly but surely that
way. Snakebite sees this, as he pulls back even harder now, causing Drake's
movement to slow down, more and more, before just inches to the rope, he stops.
The fans cheer Drake, screaming for him to get up as the ref quickly checks
on Drake, as he pulls Drake's arm up once, it drops. He pulls Drake's arm up
again, it drops for a second time. He pulls Drake's arm up a third time, but
it doesn't drop, as Drake suddenly has life in him again, as he uses whatever
strength he has left, to make it to the rope! The ref counts at Snakebite, with
Snakebite letting go at three, as he pulls Drake up again, looking a bit angry
despite his southerly gentlemen attitude. He throws Drake towards the ropes,
but Drake slides behind him then stands up, grabbing Snakebite and throwing
him over his back for a release Dragon Suplex! Both men lie there, breathing
heavily for about a good twenty seconds, in which Drake and Snakebite both begin
to get up. Snakebite then looks up at the cage again, his face suddenly freaking
out, as he then looks over to Drake, almost like a caged animal, and runs at
Drake! Drake though ducks a lariat by Snakebite, grabbing him for a full nelson
and then brings him down hard with a full nelson bomb! Drake then crawls his
way up to the top rope, obviously exhausted, before he launches off and nails
Snakebite in the face with a spinning double knee drop! He covers, Snakebite,
1.............................2...........but Snakebite amazingly kicks out!
Drake then pulls Snakebite up, then throws Snakebite towards the turnbuckle.
Snakebite stays there as Drake runs full force, but suddenly moves, in which
Drake puts on the breaks, turns around and goes for another super kick, only
for Snakebite to swing him around, then goes for a kick to the mid section,
and sets Drake up as if for a DDT, only for Drake to counter this into what
seems to be a northern lights suplex, only for Snakebite to counter THAT, as
he jumps up to the top rope! He then leaps off with Drake ducking and Snakebite
rolls throws, and then around for a spinning kick right to the face of Drake
with such force it swing him around half way as he crashes into the turnbuckle!
Herb: My lord, what an UNBELIEVABLE catch as catch can set of moves!
Frank: Blah, it was pretty good.
Herb: Pretty good my as-
Frank: Hey! Watch, there are children around!
Snakebite sees Drake as he walks over, and picks Drake Hyde up almost for an
atomic drop, but sets Drake Hyde up on the top of the turnbuckle. He then stands
up, as he locks on a dragon suplex!
Herb: The Snakebitten!
Snakebite looks to jump off, when he suddenly looks up! He pauses, his face
changing various emotions as he lets go of Drake. Drake uses this to recover,
as he turns around, then kicks Snakebite in the ribs, doubling him over, as
he then picks him up and brings them off the top for a in memory of D! HE covers,
1.................2............3!
Herb: Drake Hyde wins it! His partner spirit is still alive in him and it helped
him that time with that match!
Frank: Blah, blah, blah! HE just got lucky. I mean, for whatever reason, Snakebite
paused and when he did, well, you saw what happened!
Herb: True, true. Well, no matter what, both these men showed a great match,
and we still have several more including an iron man match to go!
Drake Hyde now leaves the ring. Snakebite is getting up, looking at the cage,
his face still showing a freaked out look as he slides out and walks off to
the back. After he is gone, 'Boys in the Hood' plays out to a lot of boos as
Big Blue steps out to the ring. He looks fairly confident after his win earlier,
as he makes his way down to the ring. Those jeers though change to cheers as
you see Nightmist running around, as Big blue turns around and nails Blue right
in the face, knocking him down!
Herb: Looks like Nightmist isn't going to wait with Blue! Blue and his associates
have truly been getting at Nightmist's nerves as of late!
Frank: Boohoo, Nightmist is easily outclassed by him and others of NPD!
Herb: In WHAT?
Blue slides in the ring, as Nightmist goes for him, only for Blue to drop several
knees slowing Nightmist down. He pulls Nightmist up over his shoulders before
planting him with a death valley driver! He then jumps up on one foot, and then
again, and again, then begins to come back to Nightmist to HUGE heat with each
step before getting LOUD boos as he nails the squid on Nightmist! He covers,
1...........2......but Nightmist kicks out!
Frank: He kicked out of the squid!
Herb: Why are you so surprised Frank? I mean, he used it almost at the beginning
of this match for Christ's sake!
Frank: Well, it's THE SQUID!
Herb: (just shakes his head)
Blue stands up as he pulls Nightmist up, then throws Nightmist to the ropes,
then runs for a spear but as he does so, Nightmist jumps over him, then, turns
around and runs at Blue for a running Big boot that has Blue do a total flip
on his face with a holy shit chant from the crowd!
Herb: He almost took his head off with that move!
Nightmist covers Blue, 1...............2....but Blue kicks out! Nightmist pulls
Blue up, but Blue then nails him with a low blow, then pulls Nightmist up and
over with the blue doomsday! He holds Nightmist down as the ref gets in the
way for the count, 1..........2....but Nightmist kicks out! Nightmist is picked
up again by Blue, is then thrown but Nightmist reverses then, then runs and
smashes Big Blue for a clothesline from Hell as Blue spins around in the air!
He makes a cover himself, 1...........2.........but Big Blue kicks out!
Frank: Unlike the last match which showed a lot of technical moves, this one
is pure power, each one trying to hit that big move from the start to put the
other away!
Frank is right, as Nightmist then pulls Blue to his feet, over his head for
a gorilla press slam, then throws him outside! Nightmist slides outside himself,
as he IMMEDIATELY pulls Blue up and rams him face first into the guardrail!
Blue rests there as Nightmist then rolls through the ring, breaking the count
to the other side, as he picks up a chair! He then walks around to where Blue
is, holds it up high and smashes Blue in the back with it! And again! And a
third and forth and fifth time, not letting up for a second! He finally throws
the chair down as he rolls in and out of the ring, as he then pull Blue up,
but Blue grabs the chair and rams it into the ribs of Nightmist, then throws
it down as he begins to ram Nightmist's face repeatedly into the turnbuckle,
faster and faster, each one harder than the last before he finally pulls Nightmist
up, who is bleeding now and throws him into the ring! Blue then gets in, covering
Nightmist with his feet on the ropes, 1......................2............but
Nightmist kicks out!
Blue gets up, pissed off that he didn't get three, yelling at the ref. He though
pulls Nightmist up, who then nails a vicious uppercut into the ribs of Blue,
as you almost see Blue spit up blood, before he pulls Blue, and runs him face
first right into the turnbuckle, as Blue almost bounces right out of the ring,
but stays inside. He then lies there, as you see blood trickle down his face
as Nightmist runs and splashes him, then pulls Blue out, throws him to the ropes
and brings him down with a Lou Thesz press before he lays out a fury of punches
at Blue's head! Nightmist pulls Blue up but Blue grabs Nightmist and brings
him down HARD across the ropes as both men lie on the mat for several seconds,
blood in their faces as they try to recover.
After a few seconds more, both men get up, winded from a vicious give and take
of power moves as Big Blue runs for a clothesline, only for Nightmist to duck,
then as Blue turns around, picks Blue up as if for a running power slam! Blue
through gets free from behind, then as Nightmist turns around, kicks him in
the ribs, locks his arms and plants Nightmist with the blue stop! He rolls Nightmist
over, 1............2.....but Nightmist kicks out! Blue won't be denied as he
gets on top of Nightmist and begins to lay out several harsh punches as hard
as he can into the skull of Nightmist before he pulls Nightmist up again, setting
him up for the Blue Hammer! He holds Nightmist up, then slams Nightmst down
as he goes for another cover, 1.......................2........but Nightmist
kicks out again! Blue stands up, with Night in his arms yet again, then throws
Nightmist into the turnbuckle. He then runs himself, with Nightmist putting
a big boot up, nailing Blue in the face, then as Blue turns around, throws him
up and brings him down with a sky high! He then holds on, pulls Blue up again
and brings him down with a vicious power bomb as he holds Blue down, 1.................................................2.........................
..........3-no! Blue still kicks out! Both men lie on the mat, breathing heavily,
as Nightmist gets up, and pulls Blue up. He then rams Blue's head into the turnbuckle
as he places him on the second rope. He then stands up as if to go for the let
down, only for Blue to suddenly nail him low, then pick up the doubled over
Nightmist for The Blue Equalizer! He then jumps off, swinging Nightmist around,
only for Nightmist to suddenly land on his feet and push Blue so that he falls
FACE FIRST! Nightmist then locks on the gum shoe, as the ref immediately checks
on Big Blue, seeing the last blow knocked him out and immediately rings the
bell!
Herb: He did it! He beat Blue with the gumshoe as it will now be Drake Hyde
versus Nightmist in the finals!
Frank: "Our next match-up features a whole lot of athletes who failed
to make it past the qualifying round of the King of the Kage tournament."
Herb: "And a couple of guys who were shafted by not being entered into
the tournament."
Frank: "I assume you are referring to that ambiguously homoerotic Jack
Happy."
Herb: "You shouldn't talk that way about one of the American Wrestling
Alliances founding fathers."
Frank: "You just mad 'cause you ain't my Dad."
Herb: "What?"
Frank: "Even I don't know anymore."
Herb: "Well, the Six-Man Three Way Crossfire match promises to be a battle."
Frank: "Why don't we roll the promo one last time."
*The promo rolls on the screen.*
Six men, three matches, one ring, the same time. All three matches will take
place at the same time, inside the same ring. All six opponents can do what
ever they want, to whom ever they want during the match. But in order to win
your match, you must pin your opponent, and your opponent only. The loser of
each match MUST leave the ring and the ringside area. The winners, can stay
and do as they please. Help decided the outcome of the other matches taking
place, or even pull up a ring side seat and enjoy the view. It's completely
up to the winner what they do. Once all winners are decided, the match is over.
Herb: "Wasn't that fun?"
Frank: "Let's do it again! Again, again!"

Herb: "Enough already. Let's get to the wrestler introductions. I'm ready
to see some Crossfire action."
Frank: "Why? There isn't any real talent in it."
Herb: "Like who?"
Frank: "Adam Bawm, of course!"
Herb: "Give me a break! He lossed just earlier tonight!"
Frank: "Nobody's perfect."
Herb: "Oh, just hush up and prep the fans for our first competitor."
Frank: "Well, Evan Spire is an inspirational lift for die hard Diamond
Dallas Page fans. He even has mastered the Diamond Cutter."
Herb: "That's true, but I think he calls it the Disconnect."
Frank: "If the 266 pounder manages a win tonight, he won't have much celebrating
to do."
Herb: "Why's that?"
Frank: "His twenty-first birthday isn't for another week!"
*'My Goddess' by the Exies hits the loudspeakers and out pops the new comer
to a subtantial cheer. Evan is flattered by a young woman holding a sign that
says 'Inspire Me Evan' and he points to her sign and shakes her hand. Evan seems
full of energy, as he should be as this is his first PPV. He bounces down to
the ring, leaps up onto the ring apron, and begins prepping himself once inside.*
Announcer: "Our first competitor in the Three Way Crossfire Match, he
stands six feet, four inches tall and weighs in at two hundred fourty-four pounds...
from nearby Bristol, Connecticut, he is... Evvvaaaaaan Spiiiiiirrrre."
Herb: "Evan seems very excited tonight."
Frank: "I remember my first Pay-Per-View."
*The screen starts to go fuzzy and begins to get all wavy. Obviously a dream
sequence. But just as we catch a glimpse of Frank Jackson with a huge box cut
and an alarm clock hanging from his neck around a gold chain, our scene is interrupted.*
Herb: "Frank? Frank! It's your line Frank."
Frank: "Oh, huh? Oh, sorry, what were you saying?"
Herb: "I said, Evan is in for one helluva ride tonight against one pissed
off Misery."
Frank: "I think Misery has something to prove, but I don't know what."
Herb: "Somehow, I'm sure, it involves Low."
*On cue, Creed's 'What's This Life For?' booms out. The crowd erupts for the
former Television and Cruiserweight Champion. Misery doesn't greet them well,
however, and storms down to the ring.*
Frank: "What's wrong with his face?"
Herb: "Looks like he painted it black to me."
Frank: "Hmm, perhaps it's his way of coping with the emotional trauma
that he caused his beloved Annette."
Herb: "Deep. Real deep."
Frank: "Naw, prolly just some new gimmick."
Herb: "He's not wearing his normal ring attire. I can't quite read it,
but there is something written on his shirt."
Frank: "I think... I think... it says..."
Herb: "Vindicative Low!"
Frank: "Who?"
Herb:(sighing) "Legendary Low."
Frank: "Oh."
*Misery gets to the ring, all business, and slides through. Official rules
prevent two people from brawling in the ring before all six opponents arrive,
so Misery and Evan stay as far from one another as possible.*
Announcer: "Weighing in at two hundred twenty two pounds, and standing
six feet one inches, he is... Misery! Jaayson Priiiiiiiiiiiice."
*Misery then walks over to meet Evan Spire toe to toe. The referee tries to
intervene, but Misery just won't have it. The two stare at one another, seemingly
sizing the other up. Then Evan extends a hand out for Misery to shake. A sign
of respect and of good sportsmanship.*
Frank: "Oh, give me a break. I wanna see some blood! No, better yet, I
wanna see some boobies! Bring on Leena Hyde!"
*Misery looks around at the crowd, then back into Evan's eyes. The youngster
seems to have a slight smile on his face, and soon, Misery smiles too. The two
shake hands and give each other a pat on the back for good luck. The fans cheer
them loudly as our next competitor is ready to enter.*
Herb: "What a tremendous show of respect by both men. They should be commended."
Frank: "Yeah, yeah."
*'B.O.B. rocks the P.A. and out comes another former Cruiserweight Champion,
Javex Valerius. However, unusually, escorting him to the ring is the familiar
face of Kelly Gunns, AWA.com's very own field reporter. The crowd gives the
beauty a warm reception along with Javex and the pair walk down to the ring.*
Frank: "That tramp! Even she turned her back on Adam Bawm. Is the whole
world against the Nuclear Nautilus?"
Herb: "Yes. Now if you mention Adam Bawm one more time, I'll wrap this
microphone cord around your neck."
Frank: "Gulp."
Announcer: "And now, weighing in at one hundred ninety five pounds, all
the way from Zacacetas Mexico, he is... Javex Vaaaaleriuuuuuuus."
*The smiling Javex holds the ropes for Kelly, and they enter the ring with
Evan and Misery. The three men seem to be on good terms with one another and
joke around a bit while they stretch and get ready mentally for the upcoming
match. Misery seems the more serious of the lot. Javex motions for Kelly to
leave the ring, and she starts to exit. But not without a small embrace. She
leaves and meets the next opponent half way.*
Herb: "Javex and Misery have met in the past and I believe they have formed
a mutual respect for one another."
Frank: "Mutual respect doesn't necessarily mean a good show. I'd rather
see brutal enemies go at it for blood."
Herb: "That could be arranged."
*C-Rock comes out to the ring, preceded by 'Made You Look' by Nas, to a barrage
of jeers from the crowd. The Blueprint member doesn't seem to be well liked.
Nevertheless, he struts down the entrance ramp, mocking and teasing the crowd
to his delight. He looks back at Kelly Gunns and whistles loudly. She just ignores
him and continues. However, he does take the time to joke around with a few
C-Rock fans. In the ring, Javex tenses up a bit and becomes more focused on
C-Rock.*
Announcer: "And his opponent, from Salt Lake City, Utah, standing six
feet three inches and weighing two hundred fifty five pounds, he is a member
of the Blueprint, ladies and gentlemen, C-Roooooooooock!"
Frank: "I wish this guy would get a hair cut."
Herb: "It's better than an afro!"
Frank: "He's a quality competitor, under the guidance of the Great Dave
Santini, his hair justs bothers me."
*C-Rock doesn't enter the ring, but he and Javex have a stare down from outside
the ring. The two never take their eyes off one another.*
Herb: "I don't think I've ever seen Javex this intense. He certainly has
something to prove after that embarrassing defeat to Adam Bawm in the King of
the Kage tournament."
Frank: "What do you mean, embarrassing? Hey, how come you can mention
Adam Bawm, but I can't."
Herb: "Because my voice isn't muffled."
Frank: "Mine isn't either?"
Herb: "It is when your nose is shoved three feet up Bawm's ass!"
*The familiar melodies of 'Real Thing' hits the P.A. and out comes L.J. Vacamas
to a swarm of boo's and cheers alike. A few Vacamas faithfuls flash their novelty
'Real Thing' Wannabe cards. The Scotsman meets up with his Blueprint cohort
at the bottom of the entrance ramp.*
Frank: "Vacamas has held the U.S. Title in recent weeks, only to lose
it to Low a few weeks later."
Herb: "As of late, he cetainly hasn't shined as the Vacamas of only a
few months ago."
Frank: "But with Dave 'The Rave' Santini behind him, he's sure to pick
it up. And a win tonight would certainly help him on his way."
Herb: "A win tonight would help any of these men put a bit of spark back
into their careers."
Announcer: "Entering first from the third and final pairing, he hails
from Glascow, Scotland and weighs in at a full two hundred forty pounds, standing
six feet, four inches he is 'The Real Thing' L.J. ... Vaaacaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaas!"
Frank: "I feel confident for Dave Santini tonight with the Blueprint being
represented by these two men."
Herb: "Well, as long as your confident."
Frank: "What is that supposed to mean?"
Herb: "I wonder what C-Rock and Vacamas are discussing over there?"
Frank: "Probably how they are going to dominate this match up."
*C-Rock and Vacamas, the other wrestlers, and all the fans, divert their attention
to the entrance ramp as 'Bootylicous' Destiny's Child blares throughout Madison
Square Garden. The crowd erupts so loudly that the music is drowned out. A few
seconds later, Jack Happy stumbles out from behind the KOTK Entranceway, covering
his mouth in humbled awe. He seems flattered by the crowds reception and even
gives a warm Happy-Hug to an adoring fan with a burrito shaped hat on.*
Announcer: "And our final opponent of the evening, he comes in at three
hundred twenty pounds and six feet tall. Straight out of Pittsburgh, please
join me in welcoming back to the AWA, bring in the clowns because here is...
Jaaaaaaaaaack Haaaaaaaaaappyyyyy!"
Frank: "Oh, put that away Happy."
Herb: "I've never seen him in this good a shape before, Frank?"
Frank: "He has the physique of a walrus."
Herb: "I've noticed that you're starting to put on a little gut over there
yourself, Frank."
Frank:(embarrassed) "I'm shooting a movie in August."
Herb: "Oh, yeah, who are you playing?"
Frank: "Jack Happy."
*Happy's warm reception is short lived, however, because C-Rock and Vacamas
race up the ramp, doubling Jack Happy with a clothesline. They kick the crowd
favorite a few times, and the referee calls for the bell.*
Herb: "That damn Blueprint, getting him before the match has started."
Frank: "Didn't you just hear the bell?"
Herb: "I suppose double teaming Happy of the Elimination Enterprises is
an insurance policy for Dave Santini."
Frank: "Whatever works, right Herb?"
*C-Rock ceases his assault and leaves Happy to Vacamas, because Javex Valerius
has slid out of the ring to face him. The two meet just outside of the ring,
and battle it out on the safety mat. Meanwhile, in the ring, Misery and Evan
Spire have been matching chop to chop as the crowd roars. Misery, the more experienced
of the two, soon gains the upper hand, using his quickness to block a few of
Evan's chops. Misery is all business in this match, and quickly knocks down
the rookie with a hard clothesline after blocking a chop.*
Frank: "Get him Vacamas! Turn the smile into a frown!"
Herb: "You should be watching the action in the ring, Frank, Evan Spire
and Misery are putting on a great show."
Frank: "Seeing Jack Happy being kicked up and down the ramp is a great
show!"
*C-Rock has managed to get the best of Javex. They have been trading a few
blows and kicks, but nothing major, at least until C-Rock whipped Javex into
the security railing. The 'little guy' of the match, Javex, is sprawled out
next to the security railing. C-Rock scoops him up and drops him face first
onto the steel girder. The fans let out sighs of concern for Javex, who clutches
his skull in pain. Meanwhile, at the top of the ramp, Happy has finally begun
to get to his feet. Although he breathing very deeply, he manages to get to
his feet to the dismay of the 'Real Thing' Wannabes. The two begin to trade
blows again and the camera picks up on the in ring action. After a pair of strong
clotheslines, Misery now has Even Spire in a strong choke sleeper. The referee
has to focus his attention on a fading Evan Spire.*
Herb: "Great execution by Price. He is trying to cut off the blood flow
to Evan Spire's head."
Frank: "I like this kid, Evan Spire, but he'd better find a way to escape
this choke sleeper or his night will be over quite early."
Herb: "Misery sure seems focused tonight. Even more so than he normally
is."
*The referee raises Evan's arm and it drops to the mat. ONE! The view shows
a split screen and we see that C-Rock about to slam Javex's head into the steel
steps. TWO! Just before his head slams into the steps, Javex catches himself,
then immediatly elbows C-Rock in the gut. He quickly follows with another. THR!,
NO!*
Herb: "Spire isn't going down that easy, Price."
Frank: "I'm so conflicted!"
Herb: "How so?"
Frank: "I can't figure out what battle to focus on right now!"
Herb: "Well, the rules say that, with no count outs, an opponent must
be in the ring to be pinned, submitted, or knocked out."
*C-Rock charges Javex, in frustration, but only meets the side of the ring
head first as Javex counters with a drop toe hold. In the ring, Evan Spire has
managed to get onto one knee, but Misery hasn't released the hold. However,
the former manages to toss Misery over, breaking the hold, but expending a fair
amount of energy. Misery bounces up, in disbelief, and charges at Evan Spire.
The two lock up and Misery catches Evan with a knee, then grabbing him and setting
him up for a tiger driver. But the slightly larger Evan Spire manages to reverse
this with a huge tiger suplex. Misery hits the mat hard on his back, so hard,
in fact, that he slides into the ropes and gets a bit tangled. Both men are
dazed and down for the moment. The referee would begin a count, but he has focused
his attention on Javex and C-Rock, who are now both in the ring. C-Rock is still
a little shaky from the head shot, but Javex has been battered up a bit too.*
Herb: "What amazing action we've seen!"
Frank: "I haven't taken my eyes of the 'Real Thing' for sometime."
Herb: "You mean the same 'Real Thing' who is about to... oooooh!"
*The camera goes split screen again, showing a replay of what Herb was referring
to. Apparently Happy just sent Vacamas down head first, very hard, with an implant
DDT. The impact from the concrete practically paralyzes Vacamas, but it stuns
Happy as well. So, the camera picks up on C-Rock, being knocked down hard by
a spinning reverse elbow. C-Rock gets up quickly, out of pure adrenaline, but
soon meets the mat again as Javex takes him down quickly with a snap suplex.
Again, both men pop up quickly, and C-Rock spins around behind Javex, locking
a standing head lock.*
Frank: "Wow, those two are fast. I haven't seen a Mexican move that fast
since..."
Herb: "Erhem! Just watch the match and shut up."
Frank:(shutting up) "..."
*Javex manages to break loose of C-Rock's grip, but C-Rock immediatly wraps
his arms around Javex's waist and tosses him quickly overhead with a release
German. The move forces the momentum out of Javex and the energy out of C-Rock.*
Herb: "Beautiful belly to back by C-Rock. Both men are down."
Frank: "..."
*The camera picks up on Jack Happy and Vacamas. Jack Happy has been stalking
Vacamas for some time now. Vacamas has been very slow to get up from that devastating
DDT. The crowd roars as Vacamas finally makes it to his feet. Happy has been
stomping his leg up and down like a madman, preparing for the assault.*
Herb: "He's calling for his patended Clownkick!"
Frank: "..."
*Flashbulbs erupt as Happy lunges foward to deliver the blow. But Vacamas manages
to actually leap into the air and drop kick Happy, avoiding the kick to the
gut.*
Frank:(no longer shutting up) "Beautiful execution by L.J. I guess if
Happy wasn't such a fat slob, his leg may have made it to at least Vacamas'
chest!"
Herb: "..."
Frank: "Eh, shaddup!"
*The drop kick sent Happy back first into the security railing, and thus onto
his knees, clawing at his lower back. Vacamas slowly gets up to his feet, and
seeing Happy in pain and now on all fours, he quickly baseball slides the Clown
directly in the face. Jack Happy stumbles over and Vacamas quickly locks on
his patented Vacamas Trap.*
Herb: "I don't know what he's doing here, a man cannot tap out, or even
be knocked out, unless they're in the ring."
Frank: "Isn't it obvious, Herb? He's weakening Happy up, and getting a
little payback for that Implant DDT earlier."
*The camera goes split screen again, showing Happy struggling to escape the
Vacamas Trap and Misery and Evan Spire, both now on their feet, once again exchanging
in center ring. Javex and C-Rock are also getting to their feet, very slowly.
Neither pairing pays particular attention to the other, but manage to stay on
opposite sides of the ring. Misery lands his stiff kicks onto Evan Spire, while
Javex leaps into the air a bit and flips C-Rock over with a capture suplex.
Evan Spire manages to catch a kick from Misery, but is still caught hard in
the temple with an Insiguree. Both Misery and Javex cover there opponents at
the exact same time, so the ref counts for both of them.*
Frank: "Ah, double coverage!"
Herb: "Wouldn't this be interesting... NO! Both Spire and C-Rock manage
to kick out at the last moment!"
Frank: "But look, L.J. has since released Happy and is leading him to
the ring. Now all six men are in the ring, slugging it out."
*The crowd explodes with excitment as all six men exchange blows with their
partners. Jack Happy's short legs managed to save him from total injury at the
hands of Vacamas, so, although he is very weak kneed, he is able to stand and
punch. Evan Spire shakes off the cobwebs from the Insigure and he and Misery
trade blows as well. C-Rock and Javex grapple a bit, and as soon as Javex uses
his lower center of gravity, C-Rock tries to hip toss him over. But Javex agily
bends his body around and lands on his feet, where he quickly turns around and
ducks a clothesline from C-Rock. C-Rock, instead, hits L.J. Vacamas, his own
Blueprint ally. Jack Happy gets frustrated with C-Rock and pushes him in the
chest. The two begin to exchange words and chest bumps, with C-Rock finally
getting upset and throwing a blow at Happy. Happy ducks, sending C-Rock whirling
around, face first to the foot of Javex Valerius.*
Herb: "Gloria Por Dolor!"
Frank: "No, dammit!"
*Happy allows Javex to cover, ONE! TWO! TH... No! C-Rock is saved by Vacamas,
who kicked Javex off. His attempt to save his ally, however, proves futile,
as Vacamas is turning around, Mr. Happy DRILLS LJ with a ClownKick! The effect
isn't immediate as LJ just stands there with a glazed over look on his face.
Mr. Happy rubs his chin and looks on in disbelief.*
Frank: HA! Now THAT is an iron chin!
*A second later, LJ slowly tilts back and CRASHES into the mat like a falling
tree. Mr. Happy nods in approval.*
Herb: Looks like Vacamas got IRONED out by that kick!
*Jack turns his attention away from the Glasgow native as he slides out of
the ring. Going up to 'Happy's Row' he motions to one of the children there
and they hand him a burrito! Another one hands him his HappyCellular as Jack
sits down in between them and begins dialing a number with one hand...unwrapping
the burrito with the other.*
Frank: WHAT IS HE DOING?!?!
Herb: Well, there's a burrito and a phone. Maybe he's calling for more take-out?
Frank: Shut up Herb! Doesn't he realize he has a match to continue with?
Herb: No DQ, no countouts...I think he's using the rules to serve his purposes.
Frank: Damn clown.
Herb: Whohooo!
*The camera's mic picks up on what Jack is saying.*
Jack: Heya Drake! What's up? Me? Oh, I'm just wrestling this Crossfire Match.
What? No, I didn't win my match yet. Where am I? I'm in the arena! Nah, he's
laid out for a while. Hey, you want a burrito? Better hurry cause that plate
you called in is going like hotcakes. Mmmmm...hotcakes! Hey, friend-always-will-be,
you think you could order some more hotcakes? A clown works up an appetite fighting
in a match like this. And don't forget the HappyAde, okay? Well, I gotta get
going; burrito is almost gone. Yeah, I'll talk to ya later. Good luck tonight
man. Great Googily Moogily!
*And with that, Jack polishes off the bean and cheese burrito and runs back
towards the ring.*
Herb: We've witnessed history tonight. No wrestler in the HISTORY of the AWA
has ever eaten a burrito and made a cell phone call DURING a match!
Frank: Forgettable history at best.
Herb: I won't forget it. And I'll keep reminding you in case you should try
to forget it.
*The camera goes to split screen again and we see Misery and Evan Spire laid
out. The other half of the screen is showing a replay of these events. We see
C-Rock getting to his feet after the Glorio Por Dolor from Javex, and Evan Spire
and Misery locking up and countering each other's holds. Javex goes for another
quick cover on C-Rock, by rolling the dazed Blueprinter up for a school boy.
C-Rock again kicks out, this time on an early two, showing that there is life
left in him. Evan Spire manages to overtake Misery by locking him a suplex hold,
then lifting him straight up into the air, holding it for a bit, and dropping
him to the mat. Misery slams hard against the mat, feeling the force from the
stalled verticle suplex. Evan Spire quickly takes advantage of Misery and picks
him up by the scruff of the neck. He then tosses Misery into the ropes and spins
around, in attempts of landing a roundhouse. But Misery ducked it and continued
full steam into the opposite ropes. As he rebounds, out of nowhere, he is knocked
down hard by C-Rock! Evan Spire runs up to attack him, but he too is knocked
out with one punch. We see Javex laying sprawled out in the ring as well, as
C-Rock removes a chain from around his knuckles. The camera picks up to live
action with C-Rock going to cover Javex for the win.*
Herb: "C-Rock may have just screwed a lot of people out of wins. Namely
Javex Valerius!"
Frank: "What do you mean, screwed out? We all know C-Rock has a wicked
right hook!"
*The ref counts, ONE! TWO! BREAK! Javex, using his ring awareness, puts his
foot idly on the ropes. The referee calls for the break. Infuriated, C-Rock
gets in the ref's face. Javex manages to roll out of the ring to regain his
composure while C-Rock is busy with the ref. Meanwhile, back on the outside
edge of the ring, Vacamas has met up with Jack Happy and they trade blows. Vacamas
then whips Jack into the steel steps, but Happy plants his 300 pounds down and
stops just short of the steps. He, along with the fans, let out a nice sigh
of relief. But as he turns around, he is met with big kick to his gut, from
Vacamas, and then lands head first onto the thin security mat with via a DDT.*
Frank: "Haha, that's it, get him L.J."
Herb: "These two have been up and down all night."
*In the ring, Evan and Misery are beginning to stir. By now, C-Rock has begun
persuit of Javex Valerius. C-Rock tails Javex around the ring, but neither men
run, as they don't want to expend too much energy unless they have to. Evan
and Misery are both rubbing there foreheads. In fact, Misery is slightly busted
open. He looks at Evan, infuriated, because he thinks Evan is the one who hit
him with the chain. Despite trying to explain that he was hit too, and that
it was C-Rock, Misery doesn't seem to be wanting to listen. So, instead, he
kicks Evan in the gut and lifts him up for what seems to be a Death Valley Driver.
But as he begins to slam, or more so toss, Evan over, in the opposite direction,
Evan rolls out and swings his body, managing to land a semi-decent verticle
facebuster. However, the impact and force from the DVD causes him to land hard
on his head and neck, doubling him over.*
Herb: "Evan Spire just hurt himself in that counter. Both men, once again,
are down in the ring."
Frank: "Well, this time the ref is there to count them out."
*Outside of the ring, Javex has stopped avoiding C-Rock and is fit enough to
face him. Vacamas notices this and attempts to aide C-Rock in his assault. But
as they both try to team up on the smaller one, Javex suddenly jumps up onto
the ring apron and leaps off, flipping foward, and landing ontop of both men.*
Herb: "Javex Valerius just pulled off a high risk maneuver!"
Frank: "Yay..."
Herb: "You think you could show a bit more enthusiasm. We just witnessed
a running moonsault, sending both members of the Blueprint... ahh, now I see
why you're so draught."
*With all six men now down, and the ref's ten count now at SEVEN!, the fans
begin to get a bit restless. Focusing their attention on the two men in the
ring, both in danger of losing, they begin to cheer for both Misery and Evan
Spire. Sure enough, by NINE! both men are stumbling to their feet. Evan is still
clutching his neck, wincing in pain. Misery still doesn't know that C-Rock was
responsible for the assault, but when he gets close to Evan, he sees the chain
link bruises on the kid's forehead. He pauses his assault for a moment, pointing
to Evan's head and nodding, as if to give a humble apology. Evan nods his head
as well and both men lunge at each other grappling in the center of the ring.
Meanwhile, Jack Happy is on his feet, searching for Vacamas. He finds the three
men, who are now slowly getting up, and singles out his opponent. He rolls Vacamas
into the ring, where Evan and Misery are still grappling, and drags him in front
of a turnbuckle. As the crowd cheers him on, Jack Happy climbs up ontop of the
turnbuckle.*
Frank: Get up LJ! He's gonna...well..he's gonna do something!!!!
Herb: Normally, when he scales the ropes, he lands his patented belly bomb.
However, word is that he's gonna unveil a couple of new moves for King of the
Kage. One is a top rope one.
Frank: What's it called?
Herb: Well...that's a good question.
*After scaling to the top, Jack turns around and starts to shake his booty.*
Frank: Ugh.
Herb: Uhh...yeah. Ugh.
*Bouncing up and down on the ropes a few times, he then bounces off and crashes
down on LJ butt-first. The crowd groans at the impact of all that weight across
LJ's sternum.*
Frank: Well, besides looking disgusting as hell, that was..different.
Herb: Yeah. It was Jack...and his ass. Oh my lord. The new move! THE JACKASS!!!
*The impact forces the air out of Vacamas' chest and Jack Happy doubles over.
But Happy manages to roll ontop of Vacamas. Then off, and then on again.*
Herb: "He calls that the 'Rolling Blubber'!"
Frank: "Fitting name."
*Once he rolls atop Vacamas again, he sits down onto him. He then grabs Vacamas'
cheeks and pulls his neck backward, similar to a camel clutch. The grip forces
Vacamas' cheeks to spread very far apart, and making a grotesque, Joker like
smile.*
Herb: "Jack Happy has locked on the Happy Ending. It could be over here
folks!"
Frank: "No, no! Don't tap out 'Real Thing'!"
*Outside the ring, C-Rock breaks away from Javex and slides in to save Vacamas.
But Javex Valerius grabs his leg and it's too late. The ref has no choice but
to ring the bell as Vacamas is too dazed to continue. C-Rock begins cursing
at the ref and slides completly into the ring to attack him.*
Frank: "NOOOOOO!"
Herb: "We have our first winner! Jack Happy has beaten one of the AWA's
very best."
Frank: "Well, I was thinking. You know, everyone in there, aside from
Evan Spire, has held gold in the AWA."
Herb: "Don't change the subject, but yes, that's true. And the way Evan
is looking tonight, I doubt it will be long."
*Vacamas can't move too much, so he lays, nearly lifeless in the ring. The
referee decides to call for the paramedics, but as he turns, C-Rock lunges back
to deck him. As soon as he does, however, his arm is caugh. It's Evan Spire!*
Frank: "Evan Spire just saved the referee from imminent doom!"
Herb: "Well, techincally, anyone can attack anyone... except for L.J.
Vacamas now."
*Evan Spire suddenly grabs C-Rock around the head, turns around quickly, and
falls to the mat, slamming C-Rock's head into his shoulders.*
Herb and Frank: "THE DISCONNECT!!!"
*The impact causes C-Rock to bounce into the air, where he lands hard onto
his stomach. The fans erupt as the crowd pleaser Evan Spire saved the day. However,
Misery ends this soon, as he takes advantage of the distraction by grabbing
Evan Spire, who was up on his feet, celebrating, and lifting him up for a butterfly
Power-Bomb.*
Herb: "This doesn't look good."
Frank: "Uh oh."
*Misery than slams Evan Spire face first into his knees, knocking the kid out
cold.*
Herb and Frank: "LIFE'S FINAL JEST!!!"
Frank: "Jynx!"
*Misery goes for the quick cover on Evan Spire. ONE! TWO! THREE! Misery eliminates
the rookie.*
Herb: "What a valliant effort put up by the new guy."
Frank: "For once, we can agree Herb."
Herb: "With a bit more experience, Evan Spire could be the next... well,
Jack Happy!"
Frank: "I would have said a nicer version of Adam Bawm."
Herb: "Now why would you wish such a thing on this kid?"
*Misery raises his arm in triumph as Evan Spire slowly gets up, dejectedly.
Javex Valerius is now in the ring. Javex and Misery both help Evan Spire up
and the crowd roars at the showmanship. Evan Spire thanks the two and climbs
out through the ropes. Vacamas has now slid out of the ring, disgusted at the
celebration. We then see his eyes light up as he runs over to the Spanish announce
table. He grabs the nearest chair, then inconspicuously slides it into the ring,
near C-Rock. He then leaps up onto the ring apron, where he is immediatly ordered
to leave the arena by the ref.*
Herb: "What is Vacamas doing here?"
Frank: "Getting a little payback, Blueprint style, that's what."
*C-Rock gets the idea and grabs the chair. Still a little rubbery from the
Disconnect, he sneaks up behind Evan Spire and the other two. Suddenly, THWACK!
Evan Spire stumbles over the ropes from the shot and falls down to the ground
outside. He raises the chair again to attack Javex, but Misery won't have any
of that. He grabs the chair in midswing, causing C-Rock to turn around. Vacamas,
watching from the exit ramp jumps up and down in a tantrum.*
Herb: "Backfire!"
*Misery ducks an ensuing clothesline from C-Rock and locks him in around the
waist preparing for a German. Javex suddenly reaches up to kick C-Rock in the
face. Simultaneously, Javex meets C-Rock's chin in the air, as he then comes
crashing down, upside down, into the turnbuckle.*
Herb: "Gloria Por Dolor!"
Frank: "No it wasn't, that was a German Suplex!"
*The crowd roars on as Misery and Javex nod at one another in respect.*
Herb: "Ever since Javex left the Enforcers, we have seen a new side of
him. I like it."
Frank: "You would."
*Misery slides out of the ring as Javex Valerius covers. ONE! TWO! THREE!*
Herb: "It's over! Javex wins!"
Frank: "I can't believe what I just saw! Misery and Javex are a pair of
cheaters."
Herb: "Turnabouts fair play Frank."
Frank: "Hey, I don't swing from that branch if you know what I mean."
*Javex celebrates in the ring as C-Rock rolls out. Misery has walked by Vacamas,
who makes sure he bumbs chests with the former Television Champ. Misery looks
back at Vacamas and the people in the ring and speaks loudly.*
Misery: "I'd love to stay and chat, but I have more important matters
to attend to."
*He then looks down at his shirt and walks off. The black paint has all but
washed off from sweat as he left everything out on the mat. Suddenly, in a dash
of blue, Misery is shoved aside. C-Rock has begun his exit and he meets Vacamas
half way. SMACK! Vacamas is out cold, again!*
Frank: "It's Adam Bawm! What is he doing? I don't know who to cheer for!"
Herb: "Oh, no, not the chair swinging retard himself."
Frank: "He has a PhD! He's no retard."
Herb: "Why do I bother."
*With another strong smack, Bawm decks C-Rock. Javex Valerius watches on and
has a few words with Bawm, still in the ring. Bawm mentions something about
dealing with Javex later. He then points to the tattoo on his shoulder. 'Kelly'
is still written there, in a heart. Bawm then slams the chair down and picks
up L.J. Vacamas. He lifts him up for a jacknife power bomb, and then slams him
hard, with a huge clang, right onto the chair.*
Frank: "Adam Bawm just gave the Meltdown to Vacamas, right onto that steel
chair!"
Herb: "Bawm really is evil! That's a potential career ending injury."
*Bawm smiles menacingly and ignores the booing crowd. He then calls for the
nearest microphone.*
Adam Bawm: "You see this, Dave Santini? You see this? This is only the
first stage. This is nothing compared to what I am going to do to you. Nothing.
Do you understand? I told you this would happen, didn't I? But you didn't listen.
Maybe you'll get the message now? I bet Mortis Valley will."
Herb: "This is outrageous. That man should be locked up!"
Frank: "Oh, but you were all for threatening President Gray's life with
a rattlesnake only months ago."
Herb: "That was different. No one was hurt."
*Suddenly Dark Warrior runs down the entrance ramp to meet Adam Bawm. Bawm
flees through the crowd and Dark Warrior glares at him all the way. He helps
C-Rock up and calls for medical personel to attend to Vacamas. The camera leaves
this seen, however, perhaps to divert the viewers attention from the seriousness
of Vacamas' injury. We are interrupted by the familiar voice of Jack Happy.*
Jack: Ohhhhh. Cheese and beans really working on me. Man, I hope I can make
it to the porcelain. Knew I should've stopped after my 69th burrito. Starting
to sweat...arena getting blurry. Oooohhhhhh!!!
*The camera follows him to the back where he makes it towards the public restrooms.
There we see the feared funnyman come face to face with Superballs!*
Jack: Heya...umm...Sup. How's it going man?
Superballs: Not bad at all. Man, you wouldn't believe the numbers I got off
the...oh no you don't! You're not learning my trade secrets.
Jack: Right. Look, is there anyone else in there?
Superballs: Just Disco.
*Nodding, Jack barges into the restroom. There we see Disco drying his wings.*
Jack: You might want to ummm...well...go.
Disco Duck: Quack?
Jack: C'mere porcelain!
*And with that, Jack SLAMS a door shut. Disco looks perplexed until he takes
a whiff into the air. Putting his wings up to his throat and running out as
if he's choking, we hear him exclaim....*
Disco Duck: AAAAAFFFLLLAACCC!!!!!!!
*....and then the toilet flushes. Frank and Herb can only look dumbly at each
other before trying to return to calling the action going on inside the ring.
Yet, the TitanTron still is focused in on the bathroom where we hear Mr. Happy
flush again and start humming a Britney Spears tune.*
Frank: Please make it stop!
Herb: Ladies and gentlemen, words cannot describe what is going on here. I
don't know if I should apologize, try to explain, or merely witness the events
as they transpire much like you all are.
*Upon the third flush, we hear Jack say....*
Jack: Damn. No more toilet paper. Now what am I gonna...whooaaaa. What's this?
A Javex Valerius T-Shirt? Ahhh, that'll do.
*As his feet shift, we hear him 'zip' up and then emerge from the bathroom.
Washing his hands he then heads back towards the ring.*
Herb: "Ladies and gentlmen, on a more serious not, we have just gotten
word on the condition of L.J. Vacamas."
Frank: "Apparently, Vacamas has severed three vertebrea in his middle
spine, at the hands of another AWA Superstar, Adam Bawm."
Herb: "I am saddened to say that this attack was out of pure malice towards
another man. However, it is important to understand that injury and risk come
with this line of work."
Frank: "That having been said, our thoughts and prayers go out to Vacamas'
fans, his friends, and most of all his family back in Scotland."
Herb: "We hope that everyone helps them through this tough time. Hang
in there 'Real Thing', you'll be ok."
Frank: "Let's all pray that Vacamas isn't paralyzed and that he may be
able to walk."
Herb: "As sad as it is to say, Vacamas will probably never wrestle again.
Pending a miracle."
Frank: "But as they say, the show must go on."
Herb: "We'll keep you updated on Vacamas' condition as the night wears
on. But right now, like Frank said, the show must go on. Up next, it's time
to decide the first ever Queen Of The Kage as it's sister against sister."
"I Lied" begins to play as both Leena and Melina come out from behind
the curtain. Still showing the wear from their last matches, they smile for
the crowd and raise each others hands. The fans cheer as the sisters make it
down the ramp, slapping hands with all the fans as they pass. The ring is still
being lowered down as they approach the ring. Both sisters stop short of the
ring and look at the cage as it finishes being lowered into place. The music
begins to die down by now.
FRANK: Well, I guess we'll see just how much of a liar Leena really is now.
HERB: Liar? How is she a liar?
FRANK: She said she'd give everything she has, and some that she doesn't. She
said she'd give her life. So if she walks out of this arena tonight, then she's
a liar.
HERB: Oh my god, are you really expecting to see THAT kind of a show between
sisters?
FRANK: Hey, Leena said...
The ref opens the cage door and allows both sisters to walk into the cage.
Once inside, they look around as the reality of their match sets in. It's as
if for the first time, the cage has made its presence felt as it now holds them
trapped within its self. The ref that will call the match walks into the cage
with them as a secondary ref locks the cage door behind them. Leena and Melain
climb up onto the mat, Leena sits on the second rope, holding it down for her
sister. Melina climbs through, and then does the same from the other side to
allow her sister to pass through the ropes. The ref has already climbed in from
the other corner.
All three meet in the center of the ring as the ref begins to explain the rules
of the match, or well the fact that there pretty much are none. The sisters
look at each other, smile and share in a hug before breaking away. The ref motions
for the bell and this match is under way.
HERB: Here we go folks. Already this night has brought forth a lot of firsts,
and this is just one of the many.
FRANK: What, that we have to watch these sisters prance around like wrestlers?
HERB: Actually, no. This is the first ever AWA Queen Of The Kage tournament,
and as soon as this match is decided, we will have our first ever Queen Of The
Kage. Not to mention, it's sister versus sister, for the first time in AWA history.
FRANK: Are you sure about that?
HERB: Well have any other sisters ever faced each other?
FRANK: Um.... Give me some time. I'll find out if Leena is lying again.
HERB: Um... OK KO Frank.
FRANK: Huh?
HERB: Lie...
FRANK: You make no sense some times.
In the ring, Leena and Melina circle each other. Slowly reaching out for one
another's hand, trying to feel each other out. Just as they grab hands, Melina
throws a kick to the shin of Leena. Leena's leg is taken out from under her
and she falls to one knee. Melina follows up right away with a kick to the ribs.
This takes Leena over to the mat. Melina releases her sisters hand and stands
back. Leena slowly gets back up to her feet, holding her ribs with her left
arm. Melina doesn't wait for her sister to show signs of being OK as she delivers
an open palm strike to the chest of her sister Leena. Leena's chest seemt to
cave in as she's sent staggering back and into the ropes. Melina comes in, grabbing
Leena by her right arm, and throws her into the ropes on the opposite side of
the ring. As the two women run at eachother, bound to meet in the center of
the ring, Leena leaves her feet and goes low with a running dropkick to the
knee of Melina.
HERB: Well, that ought to take some of that venom out of the legs of Melina.
FRANK: So... Does anyone really care?
HERB: I do, these fans do, Melina does, Leena does, and-
FRANK: Yeah, well I don't. And I'm sure Adam Bawm doesn't.
Leena and Melina both lay on the mat. Having both already been through matches
tonight, they aren't at 100 percent, and are moving a little slow. But it is
Melina who is up first. But she can't seem to put all of her weight on her right
knee. She staggers back and rests against the ropes as her sister slowly gets
up to her hands and knees, still holding her ribs, she gets up to her feet.
Leena sees her sister against the ropes and begins moving closer towards her.
Just as Leena is approaching Melina, jumps up, throwing her feet onto the second
rope, she slingshots herself forward and catches her legs around her sisters
head for a hurriccanranna. As Melina pulls back, the momentum takes both Leena
and Melina back to the ropes again. Melina falls over the ropes, and pulls Leena
over with her. Both women fall to the floor outside.
HERB: And now the action has moved to the outside of the ring.
FRANK: So when does Low versus Mortis start?
Both women take their time getting up to their feet. But they both eventually
do. Leena is still holding her ribs, and Melina is still limping with the right
leg. Leena moves in closer this time as Melina tries to gain her balance. Leena
delivers a kick to the gut, and then grabs Melina by the head like for a DDT.
Leena spins, as if going for the twist of fate, but just as she does, Melina
pushes her off. Leena is sent running face first into the ring post. She then
falls to the mat. Melina then jumps up onto the apron. She walks to the opposite
end of the ring from her sister, and she waits for Leena to get up to her feet.
Just as Leena is getting up to her feet, Melina takes off running, semi-fast
with the right leg, and the short space provided by the apron. Leena turns around,
only to see her sister jumping on her yet again. Melina falls around to the
side, dragging Leena with her in a true hurricanranna that sends Leena tumbling
over and into the cage.
HERB: Ouch!
FRANK: SLOPPY!
HERB: That wasn't sloppy, that was Melina using the cage to her advantage.
That is what it's there for after all.
FRANK: Yeah, so where's all this crap Leena promised us again?
HERB: Don't you have an Adam Bawm autograph signing or something that you're
missing right now?
FRANK: Adam Bawm autograph signing?!
HERB .....
Melina is up to her feet now, definitely not being the one to take the worse
of that exchange. With Leena lying on her back, Melina pulls her up into a seated
position and crosses her arms across her throat, and then turns her over so
that she are facing down while Melina is pulling on her arms, using Leena's
arms to choke her out. The ref slides out of the ring, checking on Leena. Melina
leans WAY back into the move, trying to secure herself the victory. The ref
is checking, and it doesn't look like Leena has any chance of getting out of
the hold. But Leena couldn't tap either, even if she did want to. Her sister
has both of her hands pulled far behind her as she uses them to lean back. But
as Melina leans WAY back, she is leaving herself open for an attack that no
one seems to be expecting.
THWACK!!!!
Leena sends her right foot flying up as if trying to kick herself in the head
from behind, and she just might have been able to reach her own head, if she
didn't reach Melina's head first. The force of the kick sends Melina falling
forward over Leena. Leena then takes control and reverses the position of who's
pulling who's. In one fluid motion that surprises the crowd, Leena jumps to
her feet, holding her sisters hands, she pulls her sister up too. With Melina
facing away from Leena, Leena locks Melina into a cobra clutch and takes her
back and over with a cobra clutch suplex. Melina hits the ground outside the
ring hard, her legs actually clip the ring steps and a metallic thud is heard
as her feet do so. Leena get back up, grabbing at the small of her back with
one hand, and her throat with the other.
HERB: Big move from Leena. That may have been just the move that she needed
to buy herself some time to mount an offense in this match that has thus far
been all Melina.
FRANK: So where did you say Adam Bawm was signing autographs again?
HERB: Um.... Over in Brooklyn. I think if you hurry, you can still catch him.
FRANK: Brooklyn? Why the hell would he be in Brooklyn?
HERB: Um.....
Leena pulls Melina up and quickly hits a jump spinning ddt, using the cage
to help give herself some extra momentum to spin the move before bringing her
sister down crashing head first into the mat. Leena then pulls her sister back
up again and leans her over the ring steps. Melina is still dazed from the two
moves she just took.. Melina places her hands down on the ring steps and tries
to collect her thoughts. But while she does so, her sister climbs up to the
ring apron. Leena makes it to the ring post, right near her sister, and then
jumps off of the ring apron.
HERB: OH MY GOD!!!
Leena just hit a fame asser from the ring apron onto her sister, driving Melina's
forehead into the ring steps. Leena falls back to the floor and slowly makes
it up to her knees. As we look down at Melina who bounced back into the cage,
and then slumped to the floor after the impact of the fame asser onto the ring
steps. Melina has been busted open. Leena leans against the ring apron, looking
at her sister, she looks as though she really can't believe she just did that
to her sister. Melina slowly, as if with the last ounce of strength she has,
begins to pull herself up with the aid of the cage. Leena walks over to check
on her sister to see if she's OK. But before Leena can reach her sister, Meline
pushes off from the cage, takes four running steps and floors her sister with
a running jumping yakuza kick. Leena hits the floor hard and folds in half on
impact. Melina collapses after delivering the kick. Both women are now on the
floor again. Leena rolls over onto her stomach and begins crawling towards her
sister. Leena grabs Melina's left ankle, and uses it to help pull herself closer
still to Melina. Climbing along Melina, Leena finally reaches the top and pulls
Melina's head up by the hair to see if she's still conscious. With the opening
on Melina's eyes, the question is answer and she sends an elbow up into the
face of Leena. Leeane rolls over onto her back.
Melina raises up onto her hands, looking over at her sister, she shakes her
head and then leans back, sitting on her heels. Blood still trickles down her
face, not in massive amounts, but enough to show that she is in fact still bleeding.
With Melina sitting on her heels, Leena sits up. The two sisters look at each
other, show a slight smile, and then help each other up to their feet.
HERB: Great show of sports... womanship there by Leena and Melina.
FRANK: Well they ARE sisters after all Herb. What did you expect, Leena to
give us everything she has or something?
Both sisters climb back into the ring where they begin the match all over again.
The fans cheer as Leena and Melia begin to circle each other again. The two
lock up in the center of the ring and it's Leena who takes Melina into a side
headlock. Melina pushes Leena off and into the ropes. On the rebound, Melina
takes Leena down with a standing side kick. Leena hits the mat, and Melina capitalizes
with a standing senton splash into the body of Leena. Leena clutches her mid
section as Melina rolls off of her. Melina then quickly grabs the ankle of her
sister and begins to lock in an ankle lock. Leena knowing whats coming quickly
uses her free foot to kick Melina off. Leena quickly rises to her feet. Well
as quickly as she can, which really isn't all that fast at all. Both sisters
are up again but Melina jumps, spinning around to deliver a high spinning heel
kick to her sister. Both sisters go back down to the mat. Melina slowly rises
back up though having not been hurt in the exchange and just falling because
of the impact. Melina pulls Leena up to her feet, spins her around so that Melina
is now standing behind her. Melina pulls Leena back by the hair and locks her
into a dragon sleeper. Melina falls back to the mat, pulling Leena with her.
She then locks her legs around Leena's waist for a grapevine, straight out of
Drake's book. The ref hits the mat and begins checking on Leena, again checking
to see if she wants to give up. Leena refuses, and tries to push the ref away.
Melina has the hold locked in tight and well. Leena tries to fight it, putting
up a fight. She struggles against the move, but then she starts to fade after
about twenty seconds of struggling. The fans begin to chant "LET'S GO LEENA"
clap, clap, clap clap calp. "LET'S GO LEENA" clap, clap, clap clap
clap. Then, all of the Melina fans jump in and begin cheering for Melina. It
gets to the point that it's just a back and forth, both groups of fans just
as loud as the other. "LET'S GO LEENA!!" clap, clap, clap clap clap.
"LET'S GO MELINA!!" clap, clap, clap clap clap. The chants just keep
going back and forth. The ref is checking on Leena again, and she doesn't seem
to be moving at this point. The ref shakes her hand in attempt to get a response.
But there is none. The ref then raises her hand into the air, holding it up
for a second, and then he lets it fall. Leena's hand hits the mat and her fans
begin chanting even louder, and faster. The Melina fans try to keep up, but
it only turns into a distorted roar throughout the crowd until the Leena fans
prevail and all we can hear are the chants for her with the claps between chants
that can't be well distinguished as everything in the crowd is moving so fast
now. But in the ring, things are still moving slow. The ref pulls Leena's hand
up again, but surprisingly enough, he doesn't even get a chance to drop her
hand as Leena pulls her hand away from the ref. The fans go crazy and are no
longer chanting a name, just screaming.
HERB: Leena's not out yet. She refuses to give up or fade out.
Leena reaches down and grabs Melina's right foot. Holding her foot at the toe,
and heel of her show, Leena begins to apply pressure, applying torque to her
ankle as she twists the foot. More and more pressure, Leena has the foot twisted
to the point that we think that it's about to snap at any minute. Melina is
still trying to keep the dragon sleeper locked in. But Leena doesn't show any
signs of holding back on the ankle as she keeps applying more pressure. Melina
finally lets go of the dragon sleeper and the leg grapevine. Melina uses her
left leg to push herself away from Leena who is still trying to keep that hold
locked on around the foot of Melina. Melina panics as it looks seriously as
though Leena is trying to break her ankle. Melina uses her upper body strength
to pull herself to the ropes and grab the bottom rope as if it were a life preserver
in the middle of the ocean and Melina had just escaped a sinking ship. The ref
tells Leena to let go of the hold. Leena does so, and then stands back up to
her feet. Melina is still hanging on to the bottom rope. Leena steps back to
show that she's going to allow her sister to stand up to her feet. Melina doesn't
get up though, she instead slides under the bottom rope to the outside to collect
her thoughts. Melina now can no longer put any weight on her right leg. She
hobbles along the ring side area, trying to walk it off. Suddenly, we see Leena
using the top rope to lift herself up and over the rope, she does the splits
as she clears the tope rope and comes flying towards Melina. Leena comes down,
almost in a seated position on Melina's shoulders as she then falls back to
take Melina around and over with a hurricanranna. Both women hit the ground
and the fans cheer at the move they just saw. Leena and Melina are both on the
ground clearing their heads. Leena is the first to stir though as she uses the
ring steps to help herself up to a standing position. Leena then grabs the top
portion of the ring steps, and slides it under the bottom rope into the ring.
Then, she grabs to bottom portion of the ring steps and does the same thing.
HERB: Why is she putting the ring steps into the ring?
FRANK: Why do you ask stupid questions? I mean, were you expecting me to answer
that? Or maybe-
HERB: I thought you were going to Brooklyn?
FRANK: I would if I thought you were competent enough to call a match on your
own.
HERB: Yeah, because you've been doing such a great job calling this match.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight....
With both portions of the ring steps now in the ring, Leena goes back over
to Melina.. Leena pulls Melina up to her feet, and throws Melina towards the
corner of the cage. Melina falls though, un able to put any weight on her right
foot. Leena sighs and then picks her sister back up again. Leena walks Melina
over close enough to the corner of the cage that she can just throw her into
the corner without having to rely on Melina to run. With Melina now in the corner
of the cage, Leena runs back to their previous position. Leena turns back around
and then begins to run back to her sister again. Halfway there, Leena begins
flipping, from a front flip, to a side flip, to a back flip. Leena comes crashing
down in the corner with a flipping back body splash, but Melina isn't there
when Leena goes crashing into the cage. The back of Leena's head hits the corner
pole of the cage and Melina takes advantage. Grabbing Leena by the hair, she
spins her around and begins running he face first into that same pole. One time,
two times, three times four. But Melina's not done, she's going for more. After
a full ten times of running Leena head first into the corner pole of the cage,
Melina then takes Leena, still leading her by the hair, and rolls her under
the bottom rope back into the ring. Melina climbs into the ring behind Leena,
still favoring that right leg. As Leena rolls over onto her back, we see for
the first time that she is now busted open as well. Melina pulls Leena up to
her feet. With Leena still staggering, Melina positions the top portion of the
ring steps into the center of the ring. She then hobbles back over to her sister
Leena. Melina sends Leena into the ropes with an irish whip. On the rebound,
she takes Leena down with a drop toe hold that plants Leena face first into
the ring steps.
HERB: OUCH!!!
FRANK: There goes a couple of teeth. That's what she gets for slamming Melina
face first into the ring steps earlier.
HERB: Well I never said she didn't, but OUCH!
Leena hits the steps, bounces up and falls over to the side. Melina is back
up again. Melina quickly pulls her sister up to her feet again, not wanting
to waste any time. So now Leena is standing right in front of the steps again,
and Melina grabs her by the head.
HERB: FORGOTTEN FANTASY!!! FORGOTTEN FANTASY!!!!
FRANK: EEEWWWWWWW!!!! THEY'RE SISTER'S FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!
Melina is just about to kiss her sister when Leena suddenly throws her arms
up between Melina's. Breaking her arms away from her head. Leena then grabs
Melina by the head in the same fashion that Melina was just holding her head.
Leena jumps backwards, pulling Melina with her. Over the steps Leena flies,
and comes down on the other side, bringing Melina face first HARD onto the ring
steps.
HERB: OUCH AGAIN!!!
FRANK: Those ring steps are kicking both of their asses.
Melina is planted into the ring steps and she's not moving anywhere. Leena
slowly climbs up to her feet with the help of the ring steps. Moving ever so
slowly, Leena walks around and pulls her sister up. Neither sister looks like
they can stand on their own, but somehow, they manage to do so. Leena sends
Melina to the ropes now, and bends over. Leena is going to go for a back body
drop onto the ring steps. But as Melina comes to Leena, she continues with the
momentum of running, grabs Leena by the hair, and leaves her feet. Melina and
Leena spin around 180 degrees and Melina brings Leena's head crashing down on
the ring steps this time. The sound of Leena's skull slamming against the ring
steps echoes throughout the arena. Melina falls to the mat, not being able to
stand any longer. Both women are now bleeding profusely from the foreheads.
The apron is starting to show signs of being able to tell tales of this match
as sporadic pools/drips of blood cover the mat in various locations where Leena
and Melina have lain bleeding. Including where they lay now. Well for Melina
at least. Leena is donating her blood to the ring steps at this moment. Melina
moves slowly, but she is trying to capitalize on the chance she now has. Melina
makes it to her sister and climbs to her feet. Melina then pulls Leena up to
her feet as well, but Leena is out of it and falls right back down. Melina tries
to get her to stand again, but again, Leena just falls. Melina decides to go
for the cover on her sister. The ref hits the mat and begins to count. 1....
2......
FRANK: SHE'S A LIAR!!!
HERB: COME ON LEENA!!!!
Leena kicks out like just a split second before the refs hand hit the mat.
The fans go crazy again. Melina can't believe it. She thought for sure that
her sister was done. But Melina doesn't contest the kick out. She instead decides
to bring the match to an end for once and for all. Melina pulls her sister back
to the steps and then over them. Leena is now position on the steps, laying
face up. Leena is still out of it, but she is showing signs of life. Melina
moves as fast as she can. But once again, neither woman can move all the fast
after what they've endured so far in this match, and the matches before it.
Melian makes it to a corner and begins to climb to the top rope. Leena is still
out of it. The fans are chanting both ways again. Leena's fans are trying to
rally behind her to get her to move, while Melina's fans are trying to rally
behind her to hurry up and hit what ever move she's trying to hit. Melina finally
makes it to the top rope and looks down at her sister Leena who still isn't
showing any signs of being able to move too much under her own power.
HERB: Well folks, it looks like the end is near.
FRANK: It sure is, and Leena will be a proven liar.
HERB: Frank.... Just shut up.
Thousands of camera flashes go off and it's suddenly hard for us to see. But
as they die down for the split second, we see Melina flipping through the air
to come crashing down for the 450 splash. But at the last possible second, Leena
rolls off of the steps. Melina comes crashing down into the ring steps, her
ribs hit the edge of the steps and she bounces up and flips over the steps from
the impact. Melina is now grabbing her ribs and begins coughing. Blood starts
to trail from Melina's mouth as she continues to cough. The fans gasp in awe
as they look on at Melina now coughing up blood.
HERB: Oh dear...
FRANK: Is she alright?
HERB: I... I don't know....
Leena crawls over to her sister and begins checking on her. Her sister is in
a bad, bad way now. Leena begins crying to the ref to get some EMT's into the
ring. The ref looks perplexed at the situation and runs to the cage door. The
ref from within the ring begins talking to the ref on the outside, telling him
to open the cage door. The secondary ref is just about to do so when suddenly,
"Hail To The Chief" begins to play out as President Gray comes strutting
out onto the ramp way, mic in hand. Everyone freezes.
HERB: What the hell is he doing out here?
PRESIDENT GRAY: Don't you dare do it. Don't you DARE open that cage. Those
women want to wrestle inside a cage, then that's just what they're going to
do. Don't you dare open that cage until one of those women in there wins that
damn match. And should you choose to open it anyway, then I swear I'll put you
in a death match against the winner of tonight's main event.
The fans boo and begin throwing trash at the stage.
HERB: That's just sick. He's threatening the ref of a match with Low or Mortis.
FRANK: Well... at least he didn't threaten to fire him like some other presidents
in some other organizations who like to just tell everyone they're fired. But
I have to say, if there's one time that I would have to disagree with President
Gray, this is it. I may not like women wrestlers, or even Leena or Melina personally,
but it's obvious that Melina needs medical attention.
EMTs are already rushing down to the ring, stretchers in tow. But they can't
get into the ring as the ref isn't opening the door. The ref inside the ring
can't believe that the ref outside is now refusing to open the door, even if
he is afraid to face either Low or Mortis in a death match. The ref slides back
into the ring, upset. He explains to Leena and Melina what is going on, and
that in order for the door to be open, one of them has to win the match. Leena
looks at the ref, sadness fills her eyes as she covers her sister for the count.
The ref hits the mat and tries to make the count as fast as possible to get
the door open. 1. 2.
HERB: NO!!! MELINA WHY!!!!
FRANK: I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE JUST DID THAT!!!
Melina just kicked out of the pin attempt.
HERB: She's refusing to give up. Ladies and gentlemen, this has already gotten
to the point of going too far, and now Melina is making it go even further.
Leena can't believe that her sister just kicked out. Leena looks around the
ring/cage for a quick way out. She then looks down at her sister and asks her
why she kicked out. Melina gives Leena her reason, but we can't hear it. Leena
nods and then reaches over. Grabbing the ring steps by the cut out hand hole,
she pulls them closer to her. Leena places the ring steps on her sisters chest
and then stands to her feet. Leena moves ever so slowly to the corner and begins
to climb. The crowd is silent, as are the announcers at this point. Everyone
just watches as Leena makes it to the top rope and then turns around. We zoom
in on her face, and we can see a tear trailing its way down Leena's cheek, mixing
with the crimson mask that covers her face. Suddenly, Leena leaves the top rope,
and again camera flashes fill the arena as Leena moves through the air with
Sweet Dreams, her Dragon Attack. Leena comes crashing down onto the ring steps,
and in turn, onto her sister beneath them. The impact shakes the ring, and the
sound of bodies and steel colliding echoes throughout the arena once again.
Leena rolls in motion off of the ring steps, arching her back, grabbing at it
with both hands, she falls to her stomach and begins kicking her feet. The steps
slowly fall off of Melina, who is now not moving at all, with the exception
of her still coughing up blood, and even more so now. Leena is still in pain
from her back as she slowly crawls with her last ounce of strength over to her
sister and drapes and arm over her. The ref hits the mat and counts, but not
fast this time. 1.... 2...... the ref pauses before bringing his hand down the
third time for 3.....
FRANK: FINALLY!!! Get those EMT's in there now!
HERB: PLEASE DO!!! My god ladies and gentlemen, these women said they would
give it all, and they just did. We have our first Queen Of The Kage, and what
a Queen she is.
Drake Hyde comes running down to the ring. EMTs rush into the cage as the door
is finally open. They flood the ring, and place both Leena and Melina on stretchers.
Drake is in the ring checking on both women, a concerned look over his face.
The fans begin applauding the two sisters for the show they put on as EMT's
carry them from the ring, and then the cage. A standing ovation is seen as the
two sisters are carried off to the back with Drake walking between them, holding
both of their hands in support.
FRANK: Well.... I guess she did give us everything she had and then some.
HERB: Thank you Frank. There's some hope for you yet.
The cameras follow Leena, Melina, and Drake into the back. AS soon as they
pass the curtains, Suavio and Laura are there waiting with worried looks on
their faces. We follow as they take the two sisters to the parking lot where
we see two ambulances waiting. The EMT's load both Leena and Melina into the
two ambulances. Laura and Suavio try to climb into the one ambulance each, but
the EMT's refuse to allow them entry. They begin to argue, and then Suavio tells
Laura not to worry, they can take the "Love Machine" to the hospital.
Drake is about to climb into the ambulance with Leena. But he can then hear
Nightmist's music playing within the arena. It's gut check time for Drake, but
suddenly, Leena touches his arm and whispers the word "Go..." to him.
Drake takes one last look at his wife and then runs back into the arean.
HERB: And folks, there WILL be a King Of The Kage finals. Drake is NOT leaving
the arena.
FRANK: That heartless bastard. His wife is on her way to the hospital, and
he's going to come out here and be selfish. Oh, Drake's just gotta be MR. King
Of The Kage. Even if his wife is on the verge of death.
HERB: Hey, Leena told him to stay.
FRANK: So, does he always do what a woman tells him?
HERB: No wonder you aren't married.
"Who We Be" begins to play out as Nightmist comes out from behind
the curtain. Nightmist signals to the crowd that he will be the next King Of
The Kage as he points to the ring and then circles his hands around his head
like a crown. The fans cheer him on as he makes it to the cage and climbs in.
Nightmist begins grabbing the cage from inside and shaking the cage walls to
test it out and see how sturdy everything is . The blood stains are still fresh
on the mat, and there is even a blood stain still on the ring steps that have
been placed back in their rightful place and put back together. Nightmist looks
at the blood stain as he climbs up the steps.
HERB: The ring is still showing signs from the last battle that was fought
in it.
FRANK: Woman's wrestling may never be the same again.
Nightmist makes it into the ring and bounces from foot to foot, keeping himself
active as he awaits his opponent.
"T.N.T" begins to play and Drake comes out, but no where near as
up beat as he usually is. The fans erupt into cheers that are deafening. One
would think that the roof to Madison Square Gardens is about to blow off with
all of the cheering. Drake looks around the arena and begins to smile as it
all sinks in. Drake then begins flapping his arms up and down as if trying to
get the fans to cheer louder, and they do. Louder, and louder still. It's the
biggest pop the AWA has heard in a long, long time. Drake walks down to the
ring, savoring every moment, slapping hands again with every fan, making sure
to reach behind those right there are the rail to get some of the fans who can't
make it to the rail. Drake finally gets to the cage and steps inside. Just as
in the last match before, one ref steps in with them, and the other locks the
cage door from outside the cage. Drake walks around the cage, doing as Nightmist
already did, and testing out the waters so to speak. The ref is already in the
ring by the time Drake climbs in. Drake looks around at all the blood spot on
the mat and shakes his head. He then reaches his hand out to Nightmist for a
handshake. Nighmist takes Drake's hand and they shake. They let go, and the
bell is sounded and the match is now under way. Drake and Nightmist both take
two steps back away from each other, not wanting to let the other one get the
upper hand right away. Drake and Nightmist circle each other a couple of times
and then rush right into a lock up. Nightmist with the leverage advantage takes
Drake to his side with a headlock. Drake quickly crabs Nightmist's writs and
cranks it around as he pulls out of the headlock and twists it in an arm crank.
Nighmist grabs Drake's arms, and reverses it into an arm crank of his own. Nightmist
then uses a lot of force and pulls on the arm crank, pulling Drake into him.
Nighmist lets go of the arm of Drake, and grabs him at the sides, lifting him
high into the air, he spins around and plants Drake into the mat with the sky
high.
It's early enough in the match that the move did have an affect, but not a
big enough affect to keep Drake down for too long. Nigmist raises to his feet,
and Drake is getting up right after him. Nightmist is to his feet first though,
and grabs Drake around the head and falls back for a ddt. Drake hits the mat,
and flips over from the impact. Both men are now on their back, and Nighmist
is up again. Nightmist walks over and grabs Drake by the hair and rolls him
over onto hi stomach. As Nightmist is pulling Drake up by his hair, Drake grabs
Nighmist by the legs. Drake lifts up, taking Nighmist off of his feet, and lifting
him into the air. Drakes takes two steps forward before slamming Nighmist into
the mat with a running spine buster. Drake rolls over off of Nightmist and begins
to climb up to his feet. Nightmist is climbing up right behind him. But this
time, it's Drake who makes it up first. He waits for Nightmist to make it to
a vertical base and he then goes for a standing side kick to the face. Nightmist
grabs the foot as it comes at him and reverses it into the Gum Shoe. Drake hits
the mat, and Nightmist begins to twist the ankle. Drake raises up, and then
flips under, between Nightmists legs, grabbing his right leg, and continuing
his flip through holding onto Nightmist's ankle. The momentum makes Nightmist
fall forward, and it looks like Drake is about to lock in an ankle lock of his
own, but instead, he stands upright, grabs Nighmist's other leg and rolls him
over into a boston crab. Drake sits onto the lower back of Nightmist with his
legs hooked under Drake's arms. Drake leans back into the hold, but Nightmist
quickly makes it to the ropes. The ref tells Drake to brake the hold, and so
he does so. Drake stands to his feet, as does Nighmist.
HERB: Both men trying to go for some early submission attempts here.
Drake grabs Nightmist by the arm and sends him into the ropes with an irish
whip. On the rebound, Drake goes for a clothesline. Nightmist ducks under and
keeps running into the ropes on the other side. On the rebound this time, Drake
hits the mat, Nightmist runs over him and into the ropes again. Drake jumps
back to his feet, and when Nightmist comes back for the third time, Drake jumps
up and over Nightmist with Nightmist ducking under Drake's body being sure not
to be caught. Nightmist hits the ropes again for the fourth time now. On the
rebound this time, both men have the exact same idea. As both men go for clotheslines,
both men connect with them. Drake and Nightmist go down together, and both quickly
do kick ups at the same time as the fans cheer them on now.
FRANK: What's with all the damn running? I thought this was a wrestling match.
HERB: And it is...
Out of no where, Nightmist takes two steps and sends a big boot flying up into
the face of Drake Hyde. Drake goes down and Nightmist pulls him right back up.
This time, its Nightmist with an irish whip to Drake, sending him into the corner.
With Drake in the corner, Nightmist comes charging in with a running forearm
smash. Nightmist follows the forearm smash up with a choke in the corner. Pushing
Drake even further into the corner. The ref is right there to administer the
five count. On the count of four, Nightmist releases the choke, takes two steps
back and then one step in as he delivers a solid shot to the jaw of Drake that
lifts Drake off of his feet and almost over the ropes. Drake comes back down
and is then nailed with a chop to the chest. The fans let out a "WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
as the sound of Nightmists hand slapping across Drake's bare chest echoes throughout
the arena. Drake clutches his chest after the chop. But Nightmist pulls his
arms away and nails him with another, and another, and another. Nightmist is
having his way with Drake, chop after chop, after chop. Drake's chest is already
red. As Nightmist is pulling Drake's arms away from his chest again, Drake pushes
Nightmist away. Nightmist is forced about five steps back from the push. But
he comes charging right back at Drake. Out of defensive instinct, Drake jumps
out of the corner to deliver a super kick to the chin of Nightmist. The sound
of the kick is heard throughout the arena, and Nightmist flies back off of his
feet and hits the mat. Drake collapses back into the corner, resting his arms
over the top ropes to hold himself up. Nightmist begins to stir and makes it
up to his hands and knees. Drake steps up onto the second rope and sits on the
top turnbuckle.
As Nightmist stands to his feet, Drake jumps off of the second rope and wraps
his arms around Nightmists head. Drake hits a tornado ddt and takes Nightmist
back down to the mat. Drake climbs up to his feet and quickly slides out of
the ring. Drake begins looking under the ring for weapons to bring out.
HERB: Don't know if I'd agree with Drake here. You start bringing out weapons,
you're playing Nightmist's game. He is the current, and longest reigning Hardcore
Champion. I don't think Drake'll find a weapon under there that Nightmist can't
use better than him.
FRANK: Well good, that should make this match a little more interesting.
The first thing Drake grabs is a table. Drake pulls the table out from under
the ring, but doesn't set it up. He just leans it up against the cage, and then
goes back to looking under the ring. Meanwhile, back inside the ring, Nighmist
is rising to his feet again. Drake doesn't notice Nightmist on his feet in the
ring, as he's still under the ring scouring for what ever it is he's looking
for. With Drake under the ring, well half way. His upper body is under the ring,
where as his lower back and lower are hanging out from under the ring. Nightmist
walks over to the ropes and climbs through. Looking directly down at Drake,
Nightmist leaps off of the apron and comes crashing down on the unsuspecting
Drake Hyde. Drake collapses to the ground, and Nightmist rolls off of him once
they hit the ground. Nightmist raises up to his feet and begins pulling Drake
out from under the ring by the legs. Nightmist pulls Drake up to his feet. He
stands beside Drake and then takes him back and down with a russian leg sweep.
Both men come close to hitting the table that is leaning up against the cage,
but both miss it as they hit the ground.
Nightmist climbs back up, and then pays special attention to the table. Nightmist
grabs the table and begins unfolding the legs as he sets it up. Meanwhile, Drake
is starting to stir. Nightmist is fully involved in trying to get the table
set up, but as he's folding out the last set of legs, CLANG!!!!!!! Nightmist
goes down. Behind him stands Drake Hyde with the top portion of the ring steps
in his hands. Drake throws the ring steps up and over the ropes into the ring.
He then takes the table and leans it back up against the cage to clear some
room on the ground. Drake then pulls Nightmist back up to his feet, and lifts
him up and over his shoulders as if for a tombstone pile driver. Drake takes
five steps forward, through the floor space where the table once filled, and
drops Nightmist for a running shoulder breaker. Drake then gets back up to his
feet and pulls Nightmist up behind him. Drake rolls Nightmist into the ring
and climbs in after him. Drake pulls Nightmist up again. Drake sends Nightmist
into the ropes with an irish whip and the action is staying fast paced as on
the rebound, Nightmist leaves his feet and comes crashing down on Drake with
a lou thez press. Nightmist follows up with a series of right hands. After five
straight rights, Nightmist jumps up to his feet and begins laying the boots
to Drake's ribs. Drake tries to cover his ribs, and is hit with a boot to the
chest. Drake can't cover his entire body and it becomes a case of cat and mouse
as Drake tries to keep himself covered up and Nightmist keeps sneaking the boots
in around Drake's arms. The last kick to the chest, Drake manages to grab a
hold of Nightmist's leg and doesn't let go. Drake keeps a hold of the leg, and
uses the time he's gained away from having to defend his upper body to get up
to his feet, still holding onto Nightmist's leg. Nightmist goes for an inzegury,
but Drake ducks. Nightmist lands his foot on the mat and comes back with a heel
to the side of Drake's face. Drake goes back down. Nightmist pulls Drake right
back up though, not letting Drake have any room to breath. Nightmist scoops
Drake up and runs forward, dropping Drake back first into the ring steps with
a powerslam.
HERB: Damn those ring steps, they're going to kill everyone tonight.
FRANK: They can take Drake if they really want him, I won't mind.
HERB: Yeah, of course you won't. Just because he beat Adam.
FRANK: And unfairly I might add.
HERB: What the hell show are you watching?
FRANK: King Of The Kage 2003, why, is there another show going on?
HERB: ......
Drake is writhing in pain, but Nightmist isn't slowing down one single pit.
Nightmist pulls Drake right back up again. This time, Nightmist pulls Drake
over near the ropes where the table is still leaning up against he cage. Nightmist
lifts Drake up and over with a gorilla press, and the next thing we see is Drake
flying over the top rope, and crashing down, through the table, and into the
cage. The impact shakes the entire cage and the fans gasp. Nightmist then grabs
the ring steps that are still in the ring, and throws them over the rope, at
Drake. The ring steps hit the clumped form of Drake Hyde and make a sickening
thud. The fans can't believe the ferocity they are seeing.
FRANK: That's right Nightmist, eliminate each enemy with extreme prejudice!!
TAKE'EM OUT!!!!
HERB: Um.... I guess Nightmist REALLY wants that crown.
Nightmist climbs through the ropes and walks over to the scene of destruction
that is Drake Hyde and foreign matter, aka smashed table and ring steps. Nightmist
pulls Drake Hyde up from the massive scene of destruction and walks him over
to the adjoining side of the cage nearest the door. All the way across from
the door, Nightmist holds Drake's limp body up. Nightmist sends Drake running
across the outside ring area, and into the cage door with an irish whip. As
soon as he does this, Nightmist goes back and again retrieves the ring steps.
Drake turns at the last second before impact to avoid hitting the cage door
face first and takes the blunt of the blow with his back. Just as Drake hits
the cage door, here comes Nightmist charging behind him, full steam ahead, ring
steps in his grasp.
FRANK: WOOOO WOOOOOO!!!! Here comes the freight train!!
HERB: This could get ugly.
FRANK: We're half passed ugly, and well on our way to ooooooglaaaah.
Nightmist hits Drake with the ring steps and the impact takes both men, and
ring steps, THROUGH the cage door. The door pops off of both, it's hinges and
the chain and falls to the floor outside the cage. Both refs and all the fans
are shocked as the fight has now spilled outside of the cage. Nightmist stands
from the wreckage, and he too is surprised that the cage door didn't hold up.
Nightmist looks around and then pulls Drake back up to his feet. With another
irish whip, Nightmist sends Drake crashing into the guard rail. Nightmist then
goes back inside the cage and begins rummaging around underneath the ring. Nightmist
pulls out three tables, but is still looking for more. Another table, a stop
sign, garbage can, fire extinguisher, ladder, chair, and a Louiseville slugger
baseball bat. Drake is still out of it on the outside of the cage. Nightmist
holds the bat up high and gets cheers as he makes a swinging motion and then
points to the top of the cage as if that's where the home run went. Nightmist
then walks back out of the cage and over to Drake. Nightmist pulls Drake up,
Nightmist brings the bat over behind Drake's shoulders and then in front across
his throat as he grabs the other end of the bat, locks his leg around Drake's
and then takes him back in a russian leg sweep with the aid of the bat. Drake
hits the ground hard Nightmist is right back up. Holding the bat at both ends,
Nightmist jumps up into the air, and comes crashing down on Drake's forehead
with the very tip of the bat. Nightmist climbs back up, and as we look down,
Drake is bleeding. Nightmist quickly makes it back into the cage and goes back
to rummaging around under the cage again. Nightmist crawls completely under
the ring, and when he does come back out, he's got two lengths of rope, both
massive in length. Nightmist throws the rope over his shoulders and then grabs
a table with one hand, and the ladder with the other. Nightmist drags the table
and ladder out of the cage to the outside area. Nightmist loops one end of one
of the lengths of rope through the top of the ladder and ties it in a not around
the ladder. Nightmist throws the other end of the rope up over the cage and
then leans the ladder against the cage. Nightmist then begins to tie the other
rope around one of the legs of the table he brought out. While Nightmist is
tying nots in things, this is giving Drake time to recover, and recover he does.
Drake begins to stir while Nightmist is still preoccupied with the rope and
table. Drake makes it up to his feet and starts to stagger around. Drake makes
it around to the opposite side of the cage, it's then that Nightmist notices
that Drake is up and moving. But Drake is all the way on the other side of the
cage now. Drake is at the guard rail, and as the camera follows behind him,
we look over his shoulder, in the front row, we see Megan, Sarah, and Jennifer.
Drake asks them to pass him something from the floor, and they do. As Drake
turns around, he raises his arm high into the air and the fans pop at the sight
of a black on gray barbed wire wrapped hockey stick/NHL stick, complete with
NHL logo on the head. Nightmist has just finished getting his not tied and throws
the rope up and over the cage like the one before it. Nightmist makes it back
into the cage now, he reaches down and grabs the chair he pulled from under
the ring. Then he looks back over to where Drake last was, but Drake isn't there
anymore. Nightmist looks around, and then he notices Drake climbing his way
up the cage. Nightmist runs back out of the cage and begins climbing the cage,
but the size of the chair he is trying to bring with him makes it a little difficult
to move with speed. Drake on the other hand, on the other side, is making semi-decent
time. The beating he has taken so far is slowing him down much more than the
NHL stick he is bringing with him.
The fans are all silently routing for their favorite between the two to make
it to the top first. As Drake makes it to the top first, the fans erupt again
into cheers. But the climb has exhausted Drake and he drops to his knees. Nightmist
is still climbing towards the top. Drake begins crawling to the other side of
the cage. The closer Nighmist gets to the top, the faster Drake moves, sensing
the urgency for him to do so. Drake does make it to the other side before Nightmist
makes it to the top and waits for him to get up. Nightmist looks up and sees
Drake, and just as he does, Drake slams the barbed wire NHL stick into the head
of Nightmist. After the blow to the head, Nightmist lets go of the cage, and
the chair. Nightmist falls from almost the top of the cage, all the way to the
floor below. Drake collapses back onto his back on top of the cage. He lets
go of the NHL stick and just stares up at the ceiling of Madison Square Gardens.
The fans are still chanting "HOLY SHIT!" after watching Nightmist
fall to the floor below. Drake rolls over onto his stomach and looks over at
the two strands of rope. He reaches out and grabs one before rolling back over
onto his back. Drake begins pulling the rope, and in turn, pulling the ladder
up the length of the cage. Nightmist is still laying on the ground below. We
watch as things now slow down. Drake is pulling the ladder up to the top of
the cage as Nightmist is finally beginning to stir. Drake has the ladder up
to the top of the cage and pulls it over the edge. With the ladder now up, Drake
begins pulling the table up next. Nightmist slowly makes it to his feet.
HERB: What the hell are they taking a ladder up to the top of the cage for?
FRANK: I don't know, but I sure as hell am waiting to find out. Maybe they'll
both end up in the hospital before the match is over.
HERB: God, I hope they don't take things that far.
Nightmist is up to his feet, and we can see blood trailing along his face under
his mask through the eye holes. He has been busted open. But he is up, and the
table as he can see is half way to the top of the cage now. Nightmist has a
plan now though, and slowly moves back into the ring. Nightmist begins moving
the three tables that he pulled out from under the ring into the ring. One after
the other. Once all three tables are in, Nightmist climbs in after them. Nightmist
drags one table over to a corner of the ring and sets it up. By this time, Drake
has the table outside the cage up to the top. He's now watching Nightmist as
Nightmist grabs a second table and sets it up on top of the first. Nightmist
walks over and grabs the third and final table and walks it over to the corner.
Nightmist drags the table past the other two and leans it into the corner. Nightmist
then climbs out onto the ring apron and from there climbs the ring post to the
top turnbuckle. Nightmist pulls the table up unfolds one set of legs and then
sets that end of the table on top of the two others. He then unfolds the other
set of legs and sets the third table fully on top of the other two. Nightmist
then ever so carefully pulls the stack of tables into the center of the ring.
Being careful not to let them tip over.
HERB: That's a three table high stack. What's he going to do with that?
FRANK: Something dangerous I hope.
Both the ref that is still inside the ring, and the ref that is outside the
ring are wondering the same thing. What is going to happen with those tables.
With the tables now set up, Nightmist walks to the outside of the cage once
again and begins climbing up the cage once again. AS Nightmist is climbing,
Drake begins un-tying the rope from around the ladder. Before Nightmist makes
it to the top, Drake has the not undone and the rope is free. Just as Nighmist
makes it to the top of the cage, Drake nails him with a hard right, and then
begins wrapping the rope around Nightmist's throat. Drake then ties the rope
in a not around Nightmist's throat and falls back, yanking on the rope. This
pulls Nighmist into the edge of the cage hard, and he loses his grip and footing.
Nightmist now finds himself hanging from the top of the cage by a rope around
his throat. Nightmist grabs the rope at his throat and pulls himself up to give
himself a little slack and not cut off his air supply. Drake, still holding
the rope seems to be thinking of whether or not he should pull Nightmist up
to the top of the cage, or let him fall to the floor again. Drake then settles
on a decision and begins pulling Nightmist up and over the edge of the cage.
Nightmist helps Drake's efforts and climbs his way up. Once to the top, Nightmist
rolls over onto his back and begins gasping for air. Drake, still holding onto
the rope begins laying the boots to Nightmist. Now it's Nightmist who is trying
to cover himself from the boots that are raining down from above him. Drake
stops with the boots and picks the NHL stick back up. Drake begins pulling on
the rope again and pulls Nightmist up to his feet by the rope. With both men
about ten feet apart, Drake pulls on the rope as hard as he can, causing Nightmist
to run across the cage. Both men meet in the center Drake jumps up and slams
the barbed wire wrapped NHL stick into the head of Nightmist. Both men fall
down Drake pulls back up to his feet, and leans over to grab Nightmist by the
mask. Nightmist reaches out and grabs the ladder by the top of the ladder. Nightmist
slams the top of the folded ladder into the temple of Drake's head. Drake falls
back, letting the NHL stick and the rope fall from his hands. Nightmist slowly
gets up and grabs the rope that is still tied around his throat. Nightmist takes
the other end, and begins wrapping it around Drake's throat. Once he's got a
not tied in the rope around Drake's throat, he begins trying to untie the not
around his own neck. But as he does so, Drake begins to stir. Drake sees Nightmist
trying to untie the not around his throat and grabs the rope. Drake jumps up,
and then jumps back, pulling the rope, and pulling Nightmist down to the cage
below them.
Drake stands back up again, but then so does Nightmist. Drake is reaching down
to grab the NHL stick, and then suddenly, Nightmist yanks on the rope, pulling
Drake towards him. With Drake having already being bent over, Nightmist grabs
his head and rams it between his legs. In one fluid motion Nighmist keeps the
momentum going and pulls Drake up into the air and sends him crashing down into
the center of the cage top with a power bomb. Everyone in the arena gasps as
they expect the top of the cage to give way, even Nightmist is expecting it,
but it doesn't happen. The four way support poles running across the top of
the cage prove to be stronger than people thing.
HERB: Phewwww.....
FRANK: DAMNIT!!!
But Drake did just get powerbombed into steel that didn't give, and it hurts
like hell. Nightmist pulls up the NHL stick, and then jumps on Darke. Nightmist
puts the NHL stick to Drake's throat and starts leaning his weight into it.
The barbs from the barbed wire begin stabbing into the neck of Drake. Small
trails of blood begin to run down his neck as he gasps for air. Drake grabs
the NHL stick, wrapping his hands around the barbed wire and the stick. Barbs
now stab Drake in the hands and neck, but Drake fights through the pain. With
a thrust of his hips, and rise at the legs, Drake sends Nightmist flipping over
the top of him. Drake then flips back and over, so it is now he who is on top
of Nightmist and pushing the NHL stick into HIS throat instead. Nightmist quickly
finds his way out of this though, pushing with all his might on one side of
the NHL stick and pulling on the other side to send Drake rolling to the side.
Nightmist then jumps up and slams the NHL stick down into the back of Drake's
head with such force the NHL stick breaks in half. Nightmist then pulls Drake
over to the edge of the cage nearest the announce tables on the ground below,
pulling Drake by the rope that joins them both together. Drake doesn't even
put up a struggle as he's being pulled by his throat. Nightmist raises his arm
into the air and signals for the Let Down.
HERB: Oh god no.... PLEASE NO!!!!
FRANK: DO IT!!!!!
Nightmist pulls Drake up to his feet and locks his head under one are as he
grabs the waist of his jeans. Nightmist lifts Drake's limp body high into the
air and falls back off of the top of the cage. The camera flashes blind us as
they light up the arena. We watch as everything almost seems to move in slow
motion. Nightmist and Drake fall through the air. It seems like an eternity
before finally....
HERB: OH SHIT!!!!!
FRANK: GET OUT OF HERE!!!!
Herb and Frank both jump as far as far as they can as the announce table suddenly
explodes on impact as both Drake Hyde and Nightmist come crashing down through
the table to result in a Brainbuster from the top of the cage, through the announce
table. We can't even see the two bodies in the wreckage as dust from the explosion
of sorts from the table has clouded the air around them. The entire arena begins
chanting. "HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, HOLY
SHIT!!!!!!!!" We cut to a shot of Megan, Sarah, and Jennifer. Megan is
crying, as Sarah and Jennifer are silent, not knowing what to do.
From the back, EMT's come rushing down the ramp way. Finally, the dust begins
to settle and we see that neither Drake or Nightmist are moving. EMT's begin
checking on them as they reach them, and quickly remove the rope tied to each
of theirs throats. They begin placing both Drake and Nightmist into neck braces
and place them both on stretchers. The fans begin to boo as the EMT's begin
to cart Drake and Nightmist off on the stretchers without a winner. Just as
the two are about to be carted into the back, Drake and Nightmist both roll
off of their respective stretchers. As the EMT's begin to try to get them back
on, Drake and Nightmist both join forces for a moment in time as they fight
the EMT's off and away from them. The fans cheer as Nightmist and Drake are
on the same side for the first time in this match. Thy manage to fight off the
EMT's and are finally left alone on the entrance way ramps stage. The first
thing they both do is pull off their neck braces.
With the EMT's gone, and the neck braces off, Drake and Nightmist go right
back to fighting it out. Nightmist nails Drake with a right, and Drake answers
back with a right of his own. Back and forth they go, right after right, left
after left, as they make their way back down the ramp. Drake and Nightmist brawl
there way ALL the way back and around to the announce tables. Well, the one
announce table that is left standing. Nightmist gets two shots in a row and
Drake is sent staggering back. Nightmist runs forward and folds Drake in half
with a clothesline from hell. Nightmist jumps right back up as Drake is still
down. He walks over around the cage and grabs the chair up again. Drake is stirring
while Nightmist is away. Drake slowly gets up to his feet as Nigthmist is coming
back . Nightmist sees Drake up to his feet and runs at him with the chair raised
above his head. Drake sees Nighmist coming and jumps to the side to move out
of the way of the oncoming chair shot. Nightmist stops once he realizes Drake
is out of the way, and turns to try to catch him with a chair shot just the
same. But as Nightmist turns, Drake nails him with a boot to the gut. Nightmist
drops the chair, and Drake is quick to lock his arm around Nightmists head.
Drake then reaches down between Nightmists legs and hooks the left leg. Drake
lifts up and drops Nightmist onto the chair he just dropped with a small package
ddt. The fans all join in and say "OOH!"
Drake rolls over as Nightmist lays there. Drake slowly gets back up to his
feet and walks over to the english announce table where Frank and Herb once
sat. He searches through the wreckage and find the rope. Drake then goes back
to Nightmist and pulls Nightmist up to his feet and leads him over to the spanish
announce table. Drake nails Nightmist with a right hand for good measure and
then places him on the spanish announce table. Drake throws the rope across
the table and then pulls it back from underneath only to throw it over again.
With the rope now wrapped around the table and Nightmist twice, Drake pulls
it as tight as he can, placing a foot on the edge of the announce table he leans
back. With the rope tight, Drake ties the rope in a not. Nightmist is now unable
to move anywhere. Drake looks back up to the top of the cage and a glazed, determined
look comes over his eyes. Drake leaves Nightmist there at the table and begins
climbing the cage again. Drake makes it all the way to the top and then looks
down. Drake turns away from Nightmist and then grabs the table. Drake pulls
the table to the edge of the cage and lays it there running length wise away
from the edge, never unfolding the legs. Then Drake grabs the ladder and sets
it up on top of the table, unfolding it and spreading it out. Drake begins to
climb to the top of the ladder and the fans are all wondering what will come
next.
Drake gets to the top of the ladder and steps over to the other side. Drake
looks around the arena and rolls his hands backwards around each other motioning
to the crowd. The fans cheer and the flashes go off again as Drake jumps off
of the ladder, flipping backwards in the air. Again everything seems to move
in slow motion as Drake is moving through the air, flipping backward, his arms
spread like the beginning stages of a swan dive. Drake flips a full 360 degrees
and comes crashing down with a leg drop to complete the shooting star leg drop
from the top of the ladder, on top of the cage.
We watch on as the spanish announce table explodes in much the same fashion
as the english announce table. A cloud fills the air and we watch on. Two minutes
later, the dust settles, and still, neither Drake Hyde nor Nightmist are moving.
Nightmist is still wrapped in the rope that was keeping him tied to the table,
and they are both covered in particles of wood from the table. Both men are
on their backs, Drake is draped over Nightmist. For the first time since the
english announce table got destroyed, we hear announcers.
HERB: Oh man, if only Drake had Nightmist in the ring, he'd have it won right
here.
FRANK: Well then, I guess it's not doing any good for them to be out here then,
now is it. Busting up our table like that damn them. Now we're going to have
to wait till after this stupid match until we can get another one.
HERB: Why do you need a table?
FRANK: HELLO!!! Where are we supposed to sit?
HERB: In our chairs sounds good.
FRANK: Oh yeah, sure, for you. They destroyed my chair.
HERB: So then run and grab that one that Nightmist brought out for you.
FRANK: A non padded fold up chair? Are you serious?
HERB: Um... Yeah.
Next we see Frank running over and grabbing the chair that is on the floor
near the cage. He runs back and unfolds it. Surprisingly enough, from the spanish
announce table, it is Nightmist who begins to move first. Almost five minutes
later, but he stirs first just the same. The arena is silent in wait, with the
exception of Frank and Herb who are now arguing over their chairs. Or well,
Frank is trying to get Herb to give him his padded chair in exchange for the
sure to be collectors edition chair that he has. Herb isn't giving in though.
Nightmist musters the strength to push Drake off of him, and then he wrestles
the rope down past his knees and then pulls his legs free from the rope. Nightmist
shakes Drake and slaps his face a couple of times to see if he's still conscious.
Drake's eyes start to flutter to show signs of life. Nightmist and Drake begin
talking. Nightmist tells Drake that if her really wants to be King Of The Kage,
he's going to have to meet Nightmist back on top of the cage. Nightmist then
begins to crawl from the wreckage of the announce table with the aid of one
hand. With Nightmists left hand, he holds his ribs. Slowly, very slowly, Nightmist
crawls to the cage and reaches out with his right hand and pulls himself up
to a standing position. Nightmist then switches his left hand for his right
on his ribs and reaches high onto the cage and pulls himself up as he sticks
the toes of his shoes through links of the cage. Drake rolls over onto his stomach
and looks up as Nightmist begins the slow climb to the top of the cage. Each
time Nightmist reaches up with one hand, he grabs his ribs with the other. The
process is a very slow one for Nightmist. Drake crawls from the wreckage now.
HERB: What the hell is keeping these two men going?
FRANK: Who cares, come on. Give me that chair. Do you know how much this chair
is going to be worth after this show is over?
HERB: Um... I'm sure it will be worth a lot. But why give you what you want
now. I can offer you like ten bucks for the chair after the show and you'll
be stupid enough to take the ten bucks.
FRANK: TEN BUCKS!!!! You think it's worth THAT much. HAHAHAHA!!! You're a fool.
HERB: Yeah, I'M the fool alright.
Nightmist is now half way up the cage. And Drake is now reaching the cage himself.
Nightmist looks down at Drake, still grabbing his ribs as he hangs on to the
cage with one hand. Nightmist keeps moving up, inch by inch. Drake reaches up
to the cage and pulls himself up. One hand after the other, Drake grabs onto
the cage, reaching further up with each hand and pulls himself up. Drake continues
to climb behind Nightmist, and begins to gain ground on him. Nightmist is now
three quarters of the way up the cage, while Drake is now half way up, having
gained a quarter of the distance on Nightmist. Nightmist doens't look back though,
he just keeps chugging along. At this rate it looks as though Drake should reach
the top a little faster than Drake. But as we watch, Drake begins to slow as
he gets closer to the top. The fatigue is showing it's ugly face on both men.
Nightmist does manage to reach the top of the cage before Drake. Instead of
waiting to ambush Drake, Nightmist keeps climbing, now up the ladder. Drake
makes it to the top of the cage, and Nightmist is already half way up the ladder
now. Drake crawls along the cage back towards the center. Drake is by the other
side of the ladder and is about to start climbing. But as he looks up, he sees
Nightmist is already there waiting for him. Nightmist taunts Drake, trying to
get him to climb the ladder. Drake turns away from the ladder and sees the NHL
stick that was broken over his head. Drake reaches out and grabs the bottom
half of the NHL stick and pulls it to him. The top half follows suit as they
are still joined by barbed wire. Drake begins unwrapping hte barbed wire from
the NHL stick, and as he unwraps it from the stick, he re-wraps it around his
bare hand.
FRANK: These are two sick individuals.
HERB: How so?
FRANK: Oh come on...... I'm sure they both have weekly visits to a Dominatrix.
HERB: How do you figure?
FRANK: Look, you got Nightmist up there begging Drake to climb to the top of
the ladder. Not much good can come from that, no matter which one it is. Either
their both going to fall from the top of that ladder, off of the cage, and to
the floor in front of us, where there is no table to break their fall. Or they're
going to fall onto the top of the cage. And that can't feel good either. I mean,
it's steel. Then you got Drake up there like a frikkin phsycho path wrapping
barbed wire around his bare hand. It's like these two enjoy hurting each other.
Hell, the EMT's even tried to take them out of here to the hospital and they
FOUGHT the fucking EMT's so they could keep hurting each other.
HERB: Well...... Um.... I guess we can see how bad both of these men want it.
Drake now has the barbed wire completely unwrapped from the NHL stick and completely
wrapped around his hand. Drake turns back to the ladder where Nightmist is still
waiting for him. Drake begins climbing the ladder, and we see thin trails of
blood begin to run down Drake's left arm as the barbs from the barbed wire stab
into his hand while he climbs the ladders, grabbing each rung of the ladder.
As Drake reaches the top, Nightmist begins laying into him with a series of
rights. Drake is dazed, and Nightmist pulls him up that last rung. Three more
straight rights to the chin of Drake's face and then Nightmist hooks Drake's
head under his right arm. With his left arm, Nightmist motions to the crowd
that it's time for another Let Down.
HERB: Oh no, not that, AGAIN!!!!
FRANK: Well... I guess we can pretty much name our new King Of The Kage.
Nightmist is just about to lift Drake up and over the ladder to bring him crashing
all the way down to the floor below with another Let Down. But suddenly, Drake
sends a left to the ribs of Nightmist, the same ribs that felt the full force
of Drake coming off the top rope with the shooting star leg drop. Nightmist
winces in pain, but he keeps Drake's head under his arm. But Drake sends another
barbed wire covered left to the ribs of Nightmist. Drake keeps laying into Nightmists
ribs with that barbed wire covered left until finally Nightmist lets go of Drake's
head. Drake pops up on the ladder and nails Nighmist with a left to the face,
well mask. Drake quickly grabs Nightmist and hooks his head under his left arm.
Drake points up and screams out "D!!!!!!!" and then lifts Nightmist
into the air before Nightmist can react. Drake falls back from the ladder, and
both men come crashing down as Drake delivers his own version of the brainbuster
In Memory Of D. They hit the middle of the cage, and bust THROUGH the cage.
But it doesn't stop there, they continue to fall through each and every one
of those tables that are still in the center of the ring. Wood debris fly all
over the cage, covering the ground in particles of the three tables. The ref
turns his back to the sight that we see and covers his eyes from the on coming
debris. The four cross beam poles of the cage are now hanging down into the
ring around Drake and Nightmist as the chain links fence that was once the top
of the cage is now hanging around the edges of the cage. The table and ladder
that was once on top of the cage, is now in the middle of the ring on top of
Drake and Nightmist. Both referees run and climb into the ring. They begin pulling
away table debris, the one whole table, and the ladder. Once everything has
been removed, we see Drake and Nightmist lying there motionless. Drake's eyes
slowly open and he looks up to Nightmist who lay directly above him after the
impact. Drake rolls over onto his stomach, crawls one arm pull closer to Nightmist
and gets his arm over Nightmists chest. The ref hits the mat and counts 1....
2..... 3.......
HERB: DRAKE DOES IT!!!! DRAKE DOES IT!!!!!
FRANK: Well it's about damn time. Sheesh, how many tries does it take to win
King Of The Kage? Everyone else does it their first year. But NOOOOOOO, it takes
Drake THREE tries. Yeah, some super star.
HERB: So Adam Bawm got it on his first try?
FRANK: Was I talking to you?
HERB: Did you say you like ass balls?
FRANK: No... But Adam said that Drake likes ass balls.
HERB: Yeah, so why don't you ask Adam what ass balls are.
FRANK: Adam is a great man. He has a PHD, he doesn't mingle with people who
know what ass balls are. That's low brow for people of great stature like US!
HERB: Yeah, riiiiiiiiight.
Back in the ring, neither Drake, nor Nightmist are moving at all. EMT's begin
rushing out to the ring, but they stop as suddenly, "Bootylicious"
begins to play as out comes Jack Happy. He's carrying a plate with a single
burrito on it. The EMT's go back to climbing through the cage that has seen
better days, as well as climbing into the ring. Jack makes it to the ring as
the EMT's are about to place neck braces on both Drake and Nightmsit yet again.
Jack begins swatting at the EMT's like pesky little flies buzzing in everyone's
ear. Once Jack has the EMT's held at bay, he leans down and checks on Nightmsit.
Jack begins pawing at Nightmists face until Nightmist swats at his hand. Jack,
satisfied with this as a sign of life then turns his attention to Drake Hyde.
Jack grabs Drake by the hair, his white gloves turn red from the blood soaked
hair. Jack pulls Drake face up and begins waving the burrito in front of his
face as if it were smelling salt. Drake's eyes flutter and then close. Jack
smiles and lets Drake face fall back to the mat.
Suddenly, the crowd reacts, we look up to the top of the ramp and there we
see Low standing on the stage. Clapping with a sarcastic smirk across his face
as he claps half heartedly. Low turns and walks back behind the curtain.
HERB: Ladies and gentlemen. We're going to roll some promotional footage for
this years AWA Classic while the AWA staff tears down this ring, or well what's
left of it.
FRANK: And someone get us a new announce table damnit, and get this mess cleaned
up.
We then fade to the promotional footage for Classic 2003.
When we come back, all debris of the match that just took place twenty minutes
earlier/The KOTK Finals has been removed. Two new announce tables have been
brought out for both the english AND the spanish announce team. We cut to the
english announce table with Frank and Herb.
FRANK: Ladies and gentlemen, up next is what promises to be one of the biggest
matches in AWA history. We have two men battling it out for 60 minutes in an
Iron Man Match. The winner will have everything, the loser is left with nothing.
HERB: The AWA US Champion Low takes on the AWA World Champion Mortis Valley!
(Weeping Wall by David Bowie begins to play and The Legendary Low
and Ramona A. Stone walk out to a loud, yet mixed reaction from Lows hometown
crowd. Low walks out on the ramp and stares into the crowd as he takes the US
title belt off of his waist and holds it high in the air.)
RING ANNOUNCER: From New York City, New York, weighing 255 pounds, accompanied
by the Queen Bitch of the AWA Ramona A. Stone, here is the United
States Heavyweight Champion, THE LEGENDARY LOW!
(Low starts walking down the ramp, insulting some fans on the way down. Suddenly,
however, Low falls to the ground as Misery Jayson Price tackles
him from behind. The music stops playing.)
HERB: What is this all about? What a sore loser!
FRANK: Jayson Price apparently meant what he said when he told Low he wasnt
through with him.
(The two men roll down the ramp as that exchange blows with each other. Low
seems to get the upper hand as he mounts and punches Price, but Price surprises
Low by bridging out of the position and just as Low turns around, Price kicks
him right into the face. Price picks Low up and drops him onto the guardrail.
As Low staggers a few steps, Price applies a choke sleeper, walks him over to
the steel ramp and nails a reverse DDT on the US Champion. Low is holding his
head and an outraged Ramona runs over to him and tends to him. Price walks up
to the ring announcer and grabs the microphone.)
PRICE: Low, after our match you turned your back on me without giving me a
second look. Are you willing to look now? That was just a friendly reminder
I'm still around. I could have come out during the Iron Man Match, but I didn't
want to give you any excuses in the event of a loss. Far be it for me to spare
your ego. In fact I'll further crush it next time we meet. I told everyone I
had a statement to make, how was that New York?
(Price gets a loud round of cheers for his words, mixed in with a few boos.
He drops the microphone, walks over to Low and rolls him into the ring. Then
he makes his way back up the ramp.)
FRANK: I bet Low didnt expect that!
(Calling From Heaven begins to play and Madison Square Garden explodes
in cheers as the AWA World Champion makes his way down the ramp with a less-then-happy
_expression on his face.)
RING ANNOUNCER: From Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing 235 pounds, here is
the AWA World Heavyweight Champion, The Rage MORTIS VALLEY!
HERB: Mortis looks determined to prove to that his words were true.
(Mortis stops walking as he reaches the bottom of the ramp. He looks at Low,
who is leaning against the ropes holding his head. Ramona walks over to the
ropes and starts yelling something we cant hear at Mortis. Mortis takes
off the World title belt and gives it to the ring announcer before sliding into
the ring, pushing Ramona out of his way in the process, and spearing Low down
to the mat.)
FRANK: The referee has called for the bell and we're underway! The next 60
minutes will determine who reigns on top of the AWA and who is the Iron Man!
(Ramona leaves the ring. Mortis has mounted Low and starts hammering away on
him. The crowd starts counting the punches, but Mortis doesnt stop at
ten, he goes all the way to 20. He gets off of Low and starts stomping his legs,
his chest and even his head. Low keeps holding his head, but Mortis doesnt
waste any time. He picks Low up and puts him back to the mat with a body slam.
Mortis then drops an elbow on Low, then another and then finally a third one.
Mortis covers. 1
..Low kicks out. Low tries to roll out of the ring, but
Mortis pulls him back up by the hair. He goes for an Irish whip, but Low counters
and sends Mortis into the ropes. As Mortis comes back at Low, Low ducks his
head, but Mortis catches him, hooks his head and hits a spinning neckbreaker.)
HERB: Mortis is doing the smart thing, going after Lows weakest part
right now.
FRANK: And he already sets Low up for the MVD.
(Mortis covers, but Low immediately kicks out at 1. Mortis backs Low into the
corner and hits a chop to the Whooo of the MSG crowd. He follows
this with a forearm to Lows neck and then a kick to his stomach. He does
the whole routine again: chop, forearm, kick, chop, forearm, kick, chop, forearm,
kick, chop, forearm, kick, as the crowd cheers him on. Ramona on the outside
is getting more and more nervous and starts pounding the mat to encourage Low.
Mortis whips Low all across the ring into the opposite corner and Low hits the
turnbuckles chest first. He staggers back into the ring where Mortis knees him
into the back and then sets him up for a reverse DDT. But instead, Mortis spins
around and hits the Dark Heart! He covers
1
..2
..NO! Low gets
his feet over the bottom rope!)
HERB: That was close!
FRANK: Just a few minutes into the match and Mortis almost got the first fall
with Morticias old finisher!
(Low is still holding his neck. Mortis pulls him into the middle of the ring
and forces him to roll onto his stomach by kicking him into the side. As Low
gets up a bit, Mortis applies a full nelson and then sits down on Lows
back, applying the sugar hold.)
HERB: That is unfair! Hes stealing The Legendary Lows moves!
FRANK: What do you mean?
HERB: It was Low who re-introduced the long-forgotten sugar hold back to the
AWA!
FRANK: Yeah, so?
HERB: So nothing!
(Low is screaming in pain as Mortis is pulling back with full force. The referee
asks if Low wants to give up, but Low shakes his head as much as he can in this
kind of position. Low tries to fight his way out of the sugar hold, but to no
avail. Slowly, Low seems to be passing out. As Low stops moving, the referee
takes Lows right arm and lets it drop for 1. He pulls it up a second time
and the arm drops for 2. The arm is up one more time, but suddenly Mortis releases
the hold as we see Ramona coming into the ring and running at Mortis with a
clothesline attempt. Mortis sees her and just hold onto her arm. Mortis stares
Ramona right into the face and a look of fear is seen on her face. Mortis pushes
Ramona to the ground, but the referee tells him to stay away from her. Then
he tells Ramona that if he catches her interfering again, Low will be disqualified.
Low, in the meantime, has gotten back up to his knees and hits the distracted
Mortis from behind with a low blow. Ramona starts laughing and then rolls out
of the ring.)
HERB: This is why they are the True Original First Couple of the AWA! They
just work well together.
FRANK: Come on, a year ago this wouldnt even have happened.
HERB: Why?
FRANK: Because of Morticia.
HERB: Well, LUCY sadly is no longer around.
FRANK: Bastard.
(Low is leaning against the ropes, catching his breath. Mortis is holding his
crotch. Low slowly pulls Mortis up by the hair and then whips him into the ropes.
Low rebounds off the ropes as well and hits a lariat on Mortis. He follows this
up with a piledriver. Cover gets 1
..2
. and a kick out.)
FRANK: Now Low apparently wants to pay Mortis back for working over his neck
earlier on.
HERB: Well, both men have several parallels in their careers, including some
of their favorite moves.
FRANK: Like the sugar hold?
HERB: NO! Mortis copied that from Low!
FRANK: Oh, yeah, of course.
(Low starts working over Mortis legs with well-placed kicks. He pulls Mortis
near the ropes, places his legs on the bottom rope and then uses the middle
rope to jump onto Mortis right leg. Then he repeats the move on the left
leg. Once more onto the right leg, then once more onto the left leg. He then
stretches Mortis right leg by simply pushing his foot almost next to Mortis
head, before kicking at the back of it. Low then pulls Mortis to his feet, hooks
the leg, lifts him up and hits a kneebreaker. Mortis is standing while Low still
holds his foot. Mortis suddenly jumps into the air and goes for an enzugiri,
but Low ducks and Mortis hits the mat. Low wastes no time and quickly applies
a figure four leglock. Now Mortis is the one screaming in pain and clutching
his leg, as Mortis uses his entire body to put as much pressure as possible
onto the legs of the World Champion. As the referee is focused on whether Mortis
gives up or not, Low even uses the middle rope to gain even more leverage. Just
as it appears Mortis is about to tap, the referee notices Low holding the ropes.
He warns Low and tells him to release the hold, but Low refuses. Suddenly, the
referee pulls Lows hair and forces him to release the hold. Mortis grabs
his leg while Low jumps up and gets into the referees face. The two start
arguing with each other.)
FRANK: Low should really concentrate on his opponent.
HERB: Well, apparently he has TWO opponents here tonight!
FRANK: LOW was the one cheating, the referee is simply doing his job.
(Just as Low turns around, Mortis still finds the mobility to jump up and this
time he hits the enzugiri. Low falls to the mat and Mortis covers. 1
..2
..
Low kicks out. Both men are back up and Mortis sends Low into the ropes. As
Low rebounds, Mortis tries to hit a Thesz Press, but Low catches him and drops
him to the mat with a front spinebuster. He immediately grabs Mortis feet
and goes for the Low Profile! He is successful in turning him over and applying
the hold. Mortis, however, is able to position one shoulder under his upper
body and turn himself around on his back, twisting around and looking Low into
the face. He hits a fist right into Lows face, dropping him to the mat.
Mortis then goes for a figure four leglock himself, but Low counters with a
small package! 1
2
ALMOST 3, but Mortis kicks out. Both
men are back up and Mortis hits a knee into Lows midsection. Low is doubled
over and now Mortis hits a piledriver, further working on Lows neck. Mortis
leans against the ropes, waiting for Low to get on his feet again. Low turns
around and quickly tries to kick Mortis, setting him up for the Low Stunner.
Mortis, though, catches Lows foot, spins him around, kicks his stomach
himself, hooks Lows arms and hits the MVD! Mortis with the cover gets
1
..2
..3! Mortis wins the first fall.)
RING ANNOUNCER: The winner of the first fall, Mortis Valley! Mortis Valley
leads 1-0.
FRANK: Mortis has won the first fall from the challenger at 21:29. Low is now
at a disadvantage, having to beat Mortis Valley at least twice to win.
(The two men get 30 seconds to catch their breath before the match continues.
The fans are cheering for Mortis while Ramona is on the outside, pounding the
mat, pulling on Lows arm and trying to get him going again. The referee
signals for the bell and the match continues. Low slowly gets back up, but Mortis
is already behind him. He hooks Lows head, bends him over and applies
a dragon sleeper, never giving Lows neck any rest. He even hooks his hands
around his own leg, driving his knee into Lows back. Low tries to struggle
free, but is not successful. Instead, he manages to put his leg onto the bottom
rope, forcing Mortis to break the hold, which he does. As Low is back up on
his feet, Mortis hits a dropkick into Lows belly, stunning him momentarily.
Mortis then comes from behind, hitting another dropkick into the back of Lows
knees, sending him onto his butt in a sitting position. He hits a third dropkick
right into Lows neck, knocking him over and sending him face first into
the mat. Low slowly gets back up but is immediately met by a running Mortis
hitting a shining wizard, which makes a sickening sound upon impact. Mortis
covers for 1
..2
. and a close kick out.)
FRANK: It is clear that Mortis now dominates this match and is at an advantage,
leading with one fall to no falls at all.
HERB: Shut up, Frank.
(Mortis again waits for Low to get back up by himself. Low tries to kick Mortis
again, but Mortis holds on to the leg and grounds Low with a dragon screw. Mortis
now apparently wants to humiliate Low by applying the Low Profile on him, but
Low rakes Mortis eyes and then uses his legs to push him into the corner.
Low gets back up and as Mortis staggers towards him, he hooks his head, lifts
him up by his pants and hits a vicious implant DDT. Some of the New York fans
cheer Low, but the vast majority boos at this shift of momentum.)
HERB: As we approach half time, the US Champion has gained the upper hand.
(Low has to catch his breath after being on the defense for several minutes
now, even losing the first fall to Mortis. After gaining some strength back,
Mortis picks Mortis up in a bodyslam-like position, but then he hooks Mortis
head, lifts Mortis lower body up as high as he can and drops him head
first onto the mat, hitting an emerald fusion. Low goes for a cover. 1
..2
..
kick out at the last instance by the World Champion.)
FRANK: Low is now taking his time, as he breathes heavily and is also still
holding his neck.
HERB: Mortis neck might be hurting right now as well, as both the implant
DDT and the emerald fusion certainly were anything but a massage for his neck.
(The pace is now a bit slower than before. Low finally walks over to Mortis
and drags him up. He lifts him up and sits him onto the top turnbuckle. Low
follows Mortis, hitting him with a series of rights to the head. Low finally
climbs all the way to the top rope, hooks Mortis head again and brings
him down with a huge superplex. Both men come crashing down onto the mat with
a loud thud, as the fans cheer the move and give a round of applause. Low is
able to put his arm over Mortis chest and the referee counts 1
..2
..3!
NO! Mortis got his foot onto the bottom rope just before the referee hit the
mat for a third time. Low seems to be a little upset, but he realizes theres
no use in losing patience now. Both men crawl over to different sides of the
ring and use the ropes to pull themselves up. As Mortis turns around, Low kicks
him into the stomach and hits the Low Stunner! Low covers and the referee counts
1
..2
..3! Low gets even.)
RING ANNOUNCER: The winner of the second fall, Low. Both men are even with
one fall each.
FRANK: Just after the first half of the match is over, at 30:59, Low wins his
first fall and now everything is open again.
(Both men once again get 30 seconds to catch their breath. The bell rings and
the match continues, but both men are still on the ground. Suddenly, Ramona
walks up to the announce table, grabs a headset and joins the announcers!)
FRANK: Oh no
RAMONA: What do you mean?
HERB: He means nothing, Ramona. Good to have you back with us.
RAMONA: Thanks, Herb, its always been a pleasure doing a little announcing
with you.
HERB: What made you come over here?
RAMONA: I just wanted to sit a little. I mean, Ive been standing for
a while now.
FRANK: Except for the time Mortis dumped you on your butt.
RAMONA: Yeah, shut up, idiot. By the way, Herb, do you think I can have smoke
in here?
HERB: I dont think so.
RAMONA: Damn.
(In the ring, Low is the first one to get back up to his feet, but Mortis isnt
far behind. Low runs at Mortis, but Mortis catches him more or less and the
two men stumble over the top rope and out of the ring. Both men are back up
and start trading punches. Mortis is getting the upper hand and tries to send
Low into the steel steps, but Low with a reversal and Mortis hits the steps
shoulder first. Low then briefly rolls into the ring to break the count. Low
grabs Mortis head and then slams him into the steps, not once, not twice,
but three times. Once again, he breaks the referees count by rolling into
the ring. Low signals to Ramona, who leaves the announce table and distracts
the referee by jumping onto the apron. Meanwhile, Low has pushed the timekeeper
out of his chair and nails Mortis with it right onto the head. The referee hasnt
seen any of it. Ramona joins the announcers again as we see that Mortis
head has been cut open.)
FRANK: So is THAT some master plan or what is it?
RAMONA: This is The Legendary Low having fun, this is Low making this match
just a bit more memorable for everyone.
FRANK: Yeah, like Mortis Valley has never bled before.
RAMONA: You know, Im in a bad mood, I need a cigarette, so shut up, Jackson.
(As the blood comes down Mortis face, Low again starts smashing his head
into the steel steps, once, twice, three times, four times. Low again breaks
the referees count, but the ref is getting a little impatient now. Low
walks Mortis over to the ringpost and tries to smash his face into the post
as well, but Mortis counters and Lows head meets the steel instead to
the cheers of the fans. Mortis then hooks Lows head as if he was going
for a bulldog, but instead he starts running and simply drives Lows head
into the steps, knocking the upper part down. Now Mortis is the one breaking
the count by briefly entering and then leaving the ring. He gets up on the steps
and pulls Low up as well. He places the challengers head between his legs,
pulls him up and hits a nasty-looking AND sounding piledriver onto the steps.)
HERB: What a sick maneuver!
FRANK: Mortis is rolling Low back into the ring and goes for a cover!
RAMONA: Get up, Low, get up, GET UP!
(Mortis with the cover gets 1
..2
. VERY close kick out! Mortis has
mounted Low again and starts pounding away on him.)
RAMONA: I just cant do this anymore. Ill leave you now, I cant
sit quiet. And Ill have a smoke.
HERB: You are leaving us already?
FRANK: Yeah, go ahead, and take a smoke backstage.
RAMONA: Who said anything about backstage?
(Indeed Ramona leaves the announce table and lights a cigarette! In the ring,
Mortis is still pounding Low, but the referee tells him to stop. Mortis refuses,
so the ref pulls him off by the hair like he did earlier on with Low. Mortis
immediately returns his attention to Low, grabbing him from behind, but Low
simply does a mule kick and hits Mortis in the groin once again. Mortis drops
to his knees and Low arrogantly pushes him down to the mat face first. Low places
Mortis throat over the middle rope and starts choking him, but the referee
pulls him off and warns him, turning his back to Mortis. Suddenly, Ramona quickly
walks over to Mortis, takes the cigarette out of her mouth and sticks it right
into Mortis face until it no longer glows. Some smoke is seen coming from
Mortis face, but Ramona quickly runs to the other side of the ring again
as the fans boo her louder than she was ever booed. Mortis is holding his bloody
face. Low pushes the referee aside, grabs Mortis from behind, applies the crossface-chicken
wing, forces Mortis to the ground and then finally applies the Low Standard.
While covered with blood, we can still clearly see where Ramona placed the cigarette.
The referee asks Mortis if he wants to give up, but Mortis refuses. The camera
briefly focuses on his hand, but he gives no indication that he is about to
tap out. Low, however, pulls back on the hold as hard as he can and Mortis is
in no position to grab the ropes. Mortis fight to get out of the Low Standard
slowly gets weaker and weaker, until Mortis finally stops moving. Seeing no
other alternative, the referee lifts Mortis arm and it drops for 1. He lifts
it again and the arm drops for 2. The referee lifts the arm for a third time
and it drops for 3! Mortis Valley has passed out and Low takes the lead.)
RING ANNOUNCER: The winner of the third fall, Low. Low leads 2-1.
FRANK: What a despicable action by the most despicable woman I have ever seen!
HERB: Oh, now dont pretend Mortis wouldnt have done the same if
his skank was still around!
FRANK: You make me sick, Herb, just like Low and Ramona do. With a burning
cigarette, Low takes the lead at 40:44.
HERB: Wrong!
FRANK: Thats what the clock says.
HERB: Wrong, he took the lead with the Low Standard!
(Frank can only shake his head in disbelief. During the 30 second break, the
referee checks Mortis face and then walks over to Ramona, asking her what
had happened. She just shrugs her shoulder and shows him her empty cigarette
box. The referee checks on Mortis again, but the 30 seconds have expired and
Low is immediately over Mortis again, starting the next part of the match with
kicks to Mortis kidney area. Low then goes for an elbow smash, but Mortis
rolls out of the way. Low lands on his arm and Mortis immediately starts dropping
knee after knee after knee on Lows arm and shoulder. Low gets back up
and ducks Mortis attempt at a clothesline. Low goes for a clothesline of his
own, but Mortis grabs his arm, gets him to the ground and applies a Fujiwara
armbar. Mortis pulls Lows arm almost out of his socket and Low is screaming
in pain. Low is already lifting his arm, making it appear as if he was about
to tap, but instead he gets his lower body up, rolls over and drops an elbow
onto Mortis neck. Not to be outdone, Low immediately applies a Fujiwara
armbar of his own, pulling back equally hard as Mortis did. But Mortis shows
no signs of tapping out.)
HERB: The Tribute To Stevens!
FRANK: What?
HERB: Lows tribute to Spitfire Michael Stevens.
FRANK: Ahh
(Mortis grabs the rope and Low has to release the hold. Low continues working
over Mortis arm by just stomping on it. He then grabs Mortis arm
and applies a cross-armbreaker, again pulling back on the hold with all of his
strength. Mortis, however, is able to get up and rolls Low up in a pinning position.
1
..2
.. kick out! Both men are on their feet and Low hits a chop
to Mortis chest. Whoooo He scoops Mortis up in a bodyslam
position and then drops to the side, hitting a Northern Lights Bomb. Low covers.
1
..2
.. kick out! Low now waits for Mortis to stand up again. Low
comes from behind and tries to go for another Fujiwara armbar, but Mortis rolls
out just as Low did earlier on, gets up to his feet, gets behind Low, pushes
him to the ground and applies the Extreme Machine Crippler Crossface! The fans
go crazy and cheer Mortis finisher. Ramona tries to interfere by pushing
the bottom rope towards Low, but the referee is right there and chases her away.
Just as it appears that Low is about to pass out as well, he gets one leg up
and shuffles his weight, turning himself and Mortis around on their backs and
countering the Extreme Machine Crippler Crossface into a pinning position. 1
..2
..
kick out by Mortis Valley!)
HERB: What a series of holds and counterholds!
FRANK: Mortis almost had him with the Crossface, but Low found a way out of
it.
(As both men are back up, Mortis charges Low, but Low ducks, grabs Mortis waist
and attempts a German suplex. Mortis, though, hooks his leg around Lows
leg and Low cant lift him up. Mortis hits a few elbows to Lows head
and switches positions with him, ending up behind Low. He wraps his arms around
Lows waist and hits a German suplex! But Mortis doesnt release his
grip. Instead he rolls around and hits a second German suplex. He repeats it
and hits a third German suplex on Low. Mortis rolls around one more time and
goes for a fourth suplex, but Low hits a few elbows and switches with Mortis
himself. Low now hits a German suplex of his own and doesnt release the
hold as well. He rolls around and goes for a second German suplex, but Mortis
counters again, gets behind Low and hits his fourth German suplex, this time
into a pinning position. 1
..2
.. NO! Low grabs the bottom rope! Mortis
still doesnt let Low go. They are back up again and Mortis hits a sixth
German suplex.)
FRANK: Oh my god, can you imagine how their necks must feel after this match?
HERB: And Mortis is not even through yet!
(Herb is right as Low rolls around one more time, hitting a seventh German
suplex. Ramona is screaming on the outside while the fans cheer and applaud
the series of suplexes loudly. Mortis, with his last ounce of strength, rolls
Low around one more time and hits an eighth German suplex, this time releasing
Low. The entire Garden is standing and applauding an exhausted Mortis Valley.
Mortis crawls over to where Low is, hooks the leg and the ref counts 1
..2
..3!
Mortis evens up.)
RING ANNOUNCER: The winner of the fourth fall, Mortis Valley! Both men are
even 2-2.
FRANK: Mortis evens up the score at 50:03. We only have about ten minutes left
and both men have two falls each. And none of them is moving.
HERB: Of course not! We just saw NINE German suplexes in a row, and Low took
eight of them. Of course they arent standing after suffering this kind
of punishment for 50 minutes!
(The 30 second break has passed and the bell rings. Mortis, of course, if the
first man up. He pulls the seemingly unconscious Low up, hooks both his arms,
jumps up and hits a spinning double arm-DDT. Low is face first on the mat, as
Mortis slowly climbs to the top rope. Low isnt moving one inch and Mortis
comes down on him with the flying elbow strike, hitting Lows weakened
neck. He turns him over and covers. 1
..2
.. but Low gets his shoulder
up slowly, yet enough for the referee to break the count.)
HERB: That was close!
FRANK: It was indeed and Low doesnt seem to have any strength left in
him. And we have about eight minutes and thirty seconds left in this Iron Man
Match!
(Mortis waits for Low to pull himself up, using the ropes for help. Mortis
then jumps onto the middle rope near one turnbuckle and then onto the rope next
to that rope, going for his triple jump dropkick, but as he turns around, Low
connects with a superkick as Mortis is in full flight! We hear a Oooooh
from the crowd as Mortis falls to the mat like he was shot, but Low also cant
keep himself on his legs.)
HERB: Seven minutes and forty-five seconds are left and both men are on the
mat. What happens if this match ends in a draw?
FRANK: It will be declared a draw and both men get to keep their titles.
(Both men are slowly getting back up, but just as Mortis is back on his feet,
Low suddenly explodes and hits him with a spear. Low then walks over to the
corner and climbs to the top rope. He struggles a bit to keep his balance, but
finally dives off the ropes, hitting Mortis with a flying legdrop. Cover gets

FRANK: Both men are showing they still know some of the moves that made both
of them AWA Cruiserweight Champions back in the day.
HERB: This match is lasting fifty-three minutes and thirty-four seconds now!
And neither man seems to be able to get a decisive advantage at this stage of
the match.
(Both men are still on the ground. Low is the first man up on his feet, but
Mortis isnt far behind. Mortis turns around and Low goes for a chop, but
Mortis ducks and goes for a stunner instead! Low pushes him off, however, and
into the ropes. Mortis rebounds and Low kicks his midsection. He hooks his arms
and apparently wants to hit an MVD, but Mortis struggles free and pulls Lows
legs away, so that Low drops to his back. Mortis tries to go for a Low Profile,
but Low struggles free and is able to pull Mortis to the ground. There he tries
to go for the Extreme Machine Crippler Crossface, but Mortis counters with a
few elbows. Both men are back up and now Low attempts the stunner, but Mortis
just holds on, bends him backwards and tries to hit the Dark Heart. Just as
Mortis turns around, Low hooks his arms and does a backslide! 1

kick out! Both rebound off opposite sides of the ropes, and in the middle of
the ring, the collide.)
FRANK: Both men are on the mat again, and who would have thought they had these
kinds of actions and counteractions in them after nearly one hour!
HERB: We only a little over three minutes left.
FRANK: What is this?
(Suddenly we see Ramona running over to the time keeper. She takes both, the
World and the US title belt away from him. She slides the World title belt into
the ring and the climbs up on the apron, distracting the referee. Low is slowly
getting up, but Mortis has already been able to grab the World title belt, as
Ramona threw it too far away from Low. Ramona, however, now gets into a physical
struggle with the referee, using the distraction to hand Low the US title belt.
Low turns around and smashes the US title belt over Mortis head, but Mortis
just did the same thing, hitting Low with the World title belt! Both men are
hit simultaneously and slump to the mat! Ramona jumps off the apron.)
FRANK: Ninety seconds are left and neither man seems to be conscious at all!
HERB: Ramona had a good plan there, but it backfired when he she didnt
throw the World title belt far enough in Lows direction!
(Ramona comes running over to Frank and takes his bottle of water away from
he him. She opens it up and pours the water over Lows face, giving him
a few slaps along the way to wake him up. 30 seconds are left and Low very slowly
uses the ropes to pull himself up. The crowd starts to count down! 10

FRANK. WHAT!?!? What a fluke!
HERB: What do you mean, fluke? It was a clean pin1
RING ANNOUNCER: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the fifth fall, Low! Therefore,
leading 3 falls to 2, the winner of the Iron Man Match and NEW AWA World Heavyweight
Champion
LOW!
(Weeping Wall begins to play as some fans start throwing trash
into the ring. Ramona grabs both title belts and helps Low up. As he gets to
his feet, Ramona hugs him. With the last ounce of strength his body can muster,
Low raises both belt into the air as the majority of MSG boos him. Mortis is
holding his head as the referee tends to him.)
HERB: Low has overcome an attack by Jayson Price as well as 60 minutes and
a formidable opponent in Mortis Valley to not only become a double champion
for the first time, but also to win his third AWA World title!
FRANK: Id rather say Ramona overcame all of this!
HERB: Yeah, like Low wouldnt have won anyway!
(Mortis and the referee leave the ring as Ramona assists Low, who is trying
to celebrate, but is having a hard time doing so. The camera pans around Madison
Square Garden where every fan seems to be standing.)
FRANK: Fans, we had a great night of wrestling here in New York. The King Of
The Kage 2003 has been determined, as has the Queen Of The Kage. And we have
a new World Champion. For Herb Summers and Frank Jackson, I say good night everybody!
Happy Independence Day. What the hell...them again? What do they want? This
is supposed to the end of the show!!
HERB: I dunno. Maybe they're gonna shed some more light on what is going on
with that 'thing' up high.
FRANK: They better or else I'm calling security on them. I want some answers
and I want them NOW!
(The rather stocky man with the stack of papers takes out his large cigar and
nods at the papers. Yelling at two of the men, they climb up the TitanTron.
Reaching up, they manage to grab the corners of the long, black, draping cloth
which conceals "the thing." As the 'crew leader' shouts again at them,
they tug down on the corners, pulling the cloth down over the front. As the
cloth falls to the floor, we see a statue of a large, longhorn's skull. The
crowd lets out a cheer and there are a few smatterings of 'Snakebite' chants.)
FRANK: Sheesh. Get over it already peoples. King of the Kage is over and this
is what the big hype up was for? Soooo..that guy in the bus was the delivery
man? My bad. I want to apologize right now to the public transportation for
mistakingly concluding that Arabic Sheiks had taken over. Instead I say...shame
on you U.P.S and Fed Ex! What were you guys thinking? Arabic Sheiks are now
gonna deliver my parcels? This is UNAMERICAN!!!!! Someone get me the White House
immediately. I need to talk to the President!
(At this point, 'Hail to the Chief' blares over the PA as out steps President
Gray. By his side is Dave Santini. In his right hand he carries The Equalizer
and in the left he has...a table?? As he slides in, President Gray unceremoniously
DUMPS the timekeeper and takes his steel chair. Sliding back in, he calls for
a mic. Tapping it a few times, he speaks...)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Cut MY music! Ya know, I've had a month to watch things play
out with this 'mystery man' and what he's gonna do. Now we get to the PPV that
he is SUPPOSED to be here and what do we get? Some kind of bull's skull up there
for us to see? What this is, is bullSHIT!
FRANK: You tell them Prez! It's cow patties! No wait...bull patties!
HERB: You disgust me Frank. Nothing more than a spineless follower!
FRANK: You forgot to mention 'happily employed' along with spineless follower.
PRESIDENT GRAY: I've had it! It's one thing when a wrestler pulls another wrestler's
"chain." I encourage it...hell, there are times when I get down and
laugh my rich ass off at some of the exploits that the talent manages to pull
off on each other. However, do you people see me laughing right now? Do you
think I find amusement in a month's worth of wait for THIS?
(Scowls at the audience. As he let the heat build up, he mouths "you're
all a miserable bunch of assholes." Motioning towards Dave, he continues
as his trusted head of security sets up the table.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Fortunately, I have a person like Mr. Santini here who comes
up with great ideas in my time of boiling anger. When he saw me at wit's end,
he had this brilliant idea. In fact, it was so great, it made me smile again.
I even started laughing. So allow me to share in the merriment. This might be
a little tough for you MENTALLY INCOMPETENT NEW YORKERS to understand.
(Fans begin to boo)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Hey, I can't help it because you are home of the METS and the
KNICKS. Maybe that's why you're booing eh? Hahahahaha.
(Fans boo even louder)
FRANK: Whohoooo! President Gray is on a roll tonight!
HERB: He needs to roll his ass on outta here.
FRANK: I'm telling! You're gonna be doing play-by-play for the Mets. Hahahahaha.
PRESIDENT GRAY: Ok, ok, ok. Let's get to the point shall we? Since there is
no 'mystery man' I told the superstars at the beginning of this PPV that what
would happen is that I'd be calling one of them out. One of them would have
five minutes to explain to me why this crap happened. Now, if they didn't give
me the answers I'm looking for, then they're gone...they're fired! But whom
will I call out? Whom will it be? Mr. Santini....along with that answer, would
you please retrieve your air horn?
(Dave reaches into his jacket and pulls out an envelope as well as an air horn.
President Gray breaks the seal and pauses as if announcing the winner of an
award.)
FRANK: YES! Whom could it be? Whom will be saying 'sayonora' to their meal
ticket? I'm gonna bet on...YOU Herb!
HERB: Surely he wouldn't.
FRANK: Bye-bye Herb! I'll try to miss you. Honest.
PRESIDENT GRAY: And the winner of the 'Revelation or Retirement' contest is...SNAKEBITE!!!!
("Big Gun" by AC/DC blares over the PA as Snakebite is wheeled out
of the ramp in a wheelchair. He's got a strait-jacket on and a crazy glare to
his face as Marvelous Michelle takes him towards the ring.)
HERB: What is SHE doing here? Where is Nadia?
FRANK: Haha...you didn't hear? President Gray brought Marvelous Michelle back
as 'special consultant.'
HERB: You mean she sold out?!?!
FRANK: Gee...steady employment, financial security, and to work with the President
of the federation? Wow, if that's selling out, where do I sign?
HERB: You signed your soul to the devil a long time ago Frank Jackson!
PRESIDENT GRAY: C'mon Michelle and Dave. Get his sorry ass inside this ring.
Help him in!
(The two struggle, but they manage to slide him under the bottom rope. Getting
him to a standing position, they hold him before Gray who sits on the edge of
the table. Smirking smugly at him, he pulls out some rather official looking
papers..contractual in nature.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Okay Snakebite. I've heard a lot of rumors and doublespeak
and I'm sick of it! A month ago, there was this big 'ol hype-up about one person's
journey coming to an end and another one beginning blah blah blah! Well, here
we are a month later and all I get from that is a damn skull's head. Now listen
you nutjob! I don't care about your little cage-phobia or whatever the hell
it is that has you like you are now. It really doesn't matter to me! I want
answers from YOU and if I don't get them, then what will happen is that one
person's journey here in the AWA WILL COME TO AN END AND THAT PERSON IS YOU!
You've got five minutes to either start your career over here in the AWA or
to see it come to an end. I want to know what all this is about. At the end
of five minutes, you see Dave Santini over there? He's gonna sound off the 'ol
air horn. It'll be your taps because the AWA IS THE premier wrestling federation.
Where will you go? Japan? Mexico? So...what is this all about Snakebite? Your
future is on the clock!
(Snakebite looks at him psychotically. He takes a step towards Gray, but Michelle
and Santini hold him back. Grabbing Snakebite by his masked face, he forces
him to look up at the statue.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!?! TELL ME NOW YOU MISERABLE SONOFABITCH!
(Snakebite regards the longhorn and nods at it respectfully. Yet he doesn't
say anything. This only pisses off Gray more.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: How would you like to be in... a cage again Snakebite? How
would you like it if every day was like tonight? Over and over and over again?
I could make those walls close in until you couldn't BREATHE!
(Snakebite's eyes bug out. His breathing becomes strained.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: THE ANSWER! GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!!!
SNAKEBITE: He's home! He's home! He's home!
PRESIDENT GRAY: Ya know, you really had a SOMEWHAT bright future here. You
still have a couple more minutes, but...
(And with that, Dave Santini THWACKS him upside the head with the Equalizer.
The crowd erupts in 'asshole' chants as Snakebite crumples to the mat. Michelle
and Dave kick him to the floor outside the ring.)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Shame. Let's count down the time left to Snakebite's career
shall we? Dave...get that air horn ready. 10...9.....
("Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park begins to play over the PA)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Ahh..nice touch Dave. Music to send him off. Where are we now?
Let's pick up with...five...four....three....two....one...
(There is the loud sound of a horn blaring. Gray smiles smugly, but the horn
keeps blaring. His back to Santini, he speaks...)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Okay already Santini! I think they get the....
(Turning around, he sees that Dave is shaking his head 'no' as if he isn't
doing it. Louder and louder the horn gets as the fans rise to their feet. Without
warning a large bus parts through the curtains! The headlights are on bright
and it causes the three in the ring to put arms up over their eyes. Parking
mere feet away from the ring, it is left idling as the passenger door suddenly
slides open. After a few moments of anticipation, a heavily robed individual,
with a large bag, steps out and into the ring.)
FRANK: This is a theme I know, but...
HERB: Allow me this time Frank. WHAT THE HELL?
FRANK: Nicely done.
PRESIDENT GRAY: Nice entrance. And who the HELL are you?? Do you have some
damn answers for me or am I gonna have to have Dave....
MYSTERY PERSON: ....Santini? Dave Santini..that's what you were about to say
right? He would be the one that would take me out of this arena? I just got
here and this is how I get welcomed?
PRESIDENT GRAY: So you've met Mr. Santini then? You are a fortunate man. Do
you know how many...
MYSTERY PERSON: Yes. I've met him. Face to face you could say. He left a lasting
impression on me.
(Santini chuckles a bit trying to defer the 'respect.')
MYSTERY PERSON: I know you want to know what all these people here want to
know. Who am I? Why am I here? It would be easier to show you who I'm not.
(With that, the robed individual reaches into the bag. He takes out some thick
linked chains and puts them in Santini's hands. Next, he reaches in and pulls
out...THE HANGMAN'S MASK! The crowd starts cheering as Gray, Santini, and Michelle
look on a bit nervous.)
MYSTERY PERSON: Thought you might like these. You could...pardon the expression
here...'hang' them up somewhere.
SANTINI: Wait a damn minute! So if you're not The Hangman....then you could
be only one person. Only one MAN would have his mask and his chains. You're
Aaron Matthewson! Answer me! You're Aaron aren't you??
(There is a long pause as the flashbulbs begin to flicker. Through the robes
we see the head nod 'yes.' The crowd lets out a loud pop.)
HERB: OH MY GOD!!!!
FRANK: Aaron Matthewson? That FREAK?
HERB: For those of you who don't remember, he was involved in THE main event
at last year's OverPower. Many wrestling reporters made a CAREER off of the
editorials from that match. So many great moments. And Aaron was one of the
last two men standing.
SANTINI: Well, hell! That would explain all the darkness and the robes. No
one wants to see you! I just got one question. Were you that ugly before the
accident?
(The crowd groans as Aaron's hands clench and release at his sides.)
SANTINI: Awww come on now. Answer me! You were weren't ya? I bet that's why
ever Matthewson I've ever met hides behind a mask. You're all freaks! Why I
bet even your momma....
(With lightning speed, Aaron snaps his hand up and engulfs Santini's face in
a claw. Santini desperately tries to fight the hold as he punches and kicks
at Aaron. Michelle makes a move towards him, but he points a finger at her and
motions for her to leave NOW! Scared out of her mind, she complies as all Gray
can do is watch on..petrified. Dave continues to struggle in the claw, kicking
and punching...but they all get swatted away like an annoying fly with Aaron's
free hand. Not wanting to delay any longer he hoists him up and then...sends
him crashing down THROUGH THE TABLE!)
HERB: OH MY GOD...AGAIN!!!!!
AARON: Sorry for the mess. He just said the wrong thing....to the wrong person.
Nothing right there ya know? Was good seein' ya President Gray. Nice to be....HOME.
(The crowd pops. As Aaron turns around as if to leave, Gray reaches for his
arm...)
PRESIDENT GRAY: Wait a sec!
(All he gets is sleeve. Aaron keeps walking...right out of the robes! And now
the flashbulbs flicker even faster as we now see him...unveiled. His body has
several tattoos. Even his face has tattoos as, over his right eye is a burning
red star TATTOOED. His left eye has a dark blue one of the letter 'A.' Glaring
at Gray for a moment, he starts to advance towards him.)
HERB: This doesn't look to be good for the President!
FRANK: Dave, wake up! Do something! Somebody!!!! ANYBODY!!!
PRESIDENT GRAY (Nervously): H...hey now. I ummm...that look works for you.
I didn't mean to ummm...I'm sorry about the ummm..well the robe and then...I
mean....no hard feelings right? Put 'er there!
(As Gray extends out his hand with a hopeful look in his eyes, Aaron regards
the crowd. Almost in unison we hear cries of 'NOOO!' Taking a moment, he then....extends
his hand out and shakes Gray's! Gray smiles smugly as the crowd boos.)
FRANK: Haha! I'm liking Aaron more and more. What a smart man.
HERB: This is sickening. I can't believe what I'm seeing.
(As Aaron is still shaking his hand, Snakebite begins to move. Weakly, he throws
an arm up onto the outside of the apron. As his head comes into view, Aaron
turns around and sees it. Gray sees what Aaron does and when Aaron turns his
visage back towards the President, there is a different countenance to the big
man. As Gray tries to run, he suddenly realizes that Aaron's gloved hand still
has a FIRM hold on his. Without warning, Aaron whips Gray into the ropes. On
the rebound, Aaron catches him, spins around and CRASHES him down onto the mat
in a sit-down fashion.)
HERB: The San Antonio Cyclone! I thought that with the Southern Comfort Slam,
we might be seeing the re-emergence of the man-beast Hangman...but now I see
how wrong I was.
FRANK: What are you talking about? Someone call out an ambulance!
HERB: The Hangman will forevermore be a PART of something more complicated...more
meaningful than anything The Hangman could be by himself. Look out AWA. Aaron
Matthewson has finally arrived....12 years later.
(Aaron rises up off the mat as Gray lies motionless in the middle of the ring.
Taking up the steel chair, he slides back out and goes over to the timekeeper.
Opening it up, he offers him the seat as he goes back towards the bus. Before
he goes inside, he looks up at the Longhorn Skull. Turning back towards his
brother, he sees him look up towards the skull as well. In a moment of brotherly
unity both nod and point towards the skull. The crowd erupts as the credits
roll.)
