King of the Cage
(Show opens with a black screen. A faint rumbling can be heard, which grows louder
and louder. Suddenly, KING OF THE CAGE explodes onto the screen! The letters begin
to flame, and the sound of a bonfire can be heard. It then cuts black again, with
the sound of flames continuing. The words "16 men began..." fades in,
then out. Next, "8 men got their shot at the crown...." Then, "2
will enter the cage...." finally, "But only one will become....")
King of the Cage!
(Scene cuts to a shot high above the Palace of Auburn Hills. The capacity crowd
is pumped for three hours of great wrestling. Cut to the announce table, where
Herb Summer and Frank Jackson are waiting.)
FJ-Hellooooooo, AWA fans! Welcome to King of the Cage!
HS-What a night, what a night... we've got a huge tournament to determine our
main event at the next PPV... the US Title is on the line-
FJ-and don't forget our main event, the three way dance for the World Title!
As the pyro erupted to announce the start of the King of the Cage tournament
matches, "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys blared through the sold-out
arena. Cheers rang through the crowd, as the fans came to their feet for the
first match of what promised to be a great tournament...
RING ANNOUNCER: Coming to the ring first, standing at six foot seven and weighing
in at 317 pounds, SABOTAGE!
HERB: Sabotage made his first ring appearance last Sunday during what could
be considered one of the greatest Hardcore showings ever in the AWA. Defeating
the big man CON, Sabotage is definitely on the verge of really breaking it big.
This tournament maybe exactly what he needs...
Coming from the entrance ramp, Sabotage steps out in black trousers and his
"Sabotage" shirt. Though receiving some heat, the fans actually began
to take to Sabotage alot better than what they did during his first match. His
first showing really put him in the spotlight for some people, as for the most
part, the fans were impressed at what went down during Showdown...
HERB: Sabotage's attitude has really began to change since his career first
began in the AWA. The fans are really taking to him now...
Sabotage stepped into the ring after quickly walking over to a kid wearing
a Sabotage shirt and shaking his hand. Those who followed Sabotage's wrestling
immediately recognized the child as Mike, the kid who Sabotage had recently
taken under his wing... After walking over to the turnbuckle, Sabotage leaned
backwards into it and smiled towards the ring entrance. He awaited his opposition
anxiously... With no ring music or any explosions, Black Dragon appeared from
the rampway alongside Ayana Sugah and her brother T-Rel Sugah. Immediately following
his entrance, the fans began to cut into the court with boos...
RING ANNOUNCER: Now coming to the ring standing at six foot tall and weighing
in at 181 pounds, being accompanied by the court, Black Dragon...
The boos only became louder as Black Dragon stepped into the ring leaving T-Rel
and Ayana on the outside...
HERB: It seems as though Black Dragon has really gotten on the fans' bad side
since his recent joining of the Elimination Enterprises. Even with this, you
got to give the man credit, because he did defeat the US Champion...
The ref called for the bell as the fans booing began to die down... *DING,
DING*
KING OF THE CAGE, ROUND 1: Sabotage Vs. Black Dragon
HERB: Here we go, folks, the first match in the King of the Cage tournament
is under way...
As soon as the bell rang, Black Dragon didn't take any chances with Sabotage
getting the first strike. Jumping hard and fast, Black Dragon attempted a super
kick right off the bat. Sabotage quicky dodged the kick and quicky plants the
stunned Dragon with a double arm DDT. Black Dragon rolled out of the way from
Sabotage and comes to his feet as Sabotage just stares at Black Dragon, almost
daring him to try it again...
HERB: Black Dragon is going to have to go about it some other way if he wants
to take the big man down, cause Sabotage so that one coming a mile away...
Shaking off his dizziness from the DDT, Black Dragon stood back for a moment
before circling back into Sabotage...
HERB: It looks like Black Dragon is going to try this again...
Black Dragon delivers a quick leg sweep that takes Sabotage down momentarily.
Using this time to his advantage, Black Dragon climbs to the top rope and jumps
off trying for a high risk manuever... Once again though, Sabotage is ready
and catches Black Dragon in mid air. Reversing the move into a hard slam, Sabotage
planted Black Dragon in to the mat with a resounding BANG... Sabotage follows
this up by bringing Black Dragon to his feet and whipping him into the ropes.
Standing back, Sabotage performs a spinebuster on Black Dragon as Black Dragon
bounced off the ropes with the momentum. Immediately grabbing his head, Black
Dragon rolls around the mat whincing in pain...
HERB: Sabotage is really throwing his weight around the ring... He's not letting
the smaller and more mobile Black Dragon the opportunity to get to his feet...
Sabotage quickly covers Black Dragon, and the ref falls to his knees to make
the pin. Sabotage gets the two count, but Black Dragon quickly kicks out before
the three count could be made. Not even arguing about the count, Sabotage went
back on the attack. Allowing Black Dragon to first get to his feet, Sabotage
began to exchange rights and lefts with the smaller oriental man. After a few
exchanges, Sabotage measured Black Dragon and delivered a massive clotheline
that caused Black Dragon to do a flip before landing on the mat. Ayana and T-Rel
stood on the outside looking with great concern as they found once again Black
Dragon was on the mat staring up at Sabotage...
HERB: The only way Black Dragon is going to defeat Sabotage is for him to use
his speed. If he continues this kamikaze attack on the bigger man, this match
is likely to be over soon...
As Black Dragon rose to his hands and knees, Sabotage kicked Black Dragon in
the gut causing him to be elevated across the ring in grand style. After one
more kick to the gut, Black Dragon out of desperation rolled to the outside
where Ayana and T-Rel caught him before he could hit the concrete floor...
HERB: That's probably the best move for Black Dragon, as he is being man handled
in that ring. Sabotage is just too much for him right now...
After getting his moral support on the outside, Black Dragon began to make
his way back into the ring. Before he did though, he called for the ref to move
Sabotage back, which he complied. Sabotage stood in the corner as Black Dragon
entered into the ring... As soon as he did, Black Dragon used the ref's positioning
to his advantage. Due to the ref standing in front of Sabotage, Sabotage was
nailed in the back of the head with an axe kick unable to defend himself. The
ref then got out of the way as Black Dragon tried to get himself together...
HERB: Smart play by Black Dragon... Cheap, but smart...
Black Dragon delivered a split leg moonsault on Sabotage, finally starting
to gain an advantage in the ring... Going to the top rope, Black Dragon stood
awaiting Sabotage rising to his feet. Sabotage stood up stunned as he quickly
turned around dazed. Black Dragon delivered the Midnight Kick as Sabotage went
down in a massive heap. Taunting to the crowd, all Black Dragon received was
a series of boos from the sold-out arena...
HERB: Black Dragon has really taken control here folks. His speed his just
becoming too much for the big man...
Gathering Sabotage by the hair, Black Dragon picked him up and whipped him
into the corner. Delivering a quick elbow, Black Dragon signaled for the crowd
that he was going for another move. Setting him up, Black Dragon sat on the
turnbuckle with Sabotage's head ready for a Tornado DDT. Quickly jumping up,
Black Dragon assumed his move was going to be pulled off, but Sabotage held
him in mid air, delivering him back on the turnbuckle right onto his family
jewels. Ayana and T-Rel stood on the ring apron trying to help Black Dragon,
but the ref cut them both off....
HERB: This isn't looking good for Black Dragon... Sabotage has got him hung
out to dry on the top rope, not a good situation...
With the court in an argue match with the referee, Sabotage climbs to the top
rope and nails his Sabuteur. As he was going down with Black Dragon being powerbombed,
an arm hit the referee causing the ref to go flying into T-Rel and Ayana. The
ref was knocked senseless as Ayana and T-Rel flew back into the steel guard
rail, unmoving after they hit.
HERB: Sabotage has got this one... There's the cover, but the ref is out! There
is no referee to make the three count for Sabotage...
A wolf howl is heard as CON runs to the ring wielding a chair... He is in the
ring just as soon as Black Dragon and Sabotage was beginning to be revived...
HERB: What's he doing here?!?!
Sabotage sees CON and as CON swings once and Sabotage, he quickly runs back
avoiding the hit. Using the momentum from the rope, Sabotage springs back as
CON swings wildly again at Sabotage. This time CON connects, but he connects
with the rising Black Dragon by accident. Watching Black Dragon hit the mat
hard from the chair shot, CON didn't see Sabotage as Sabotage delivered a quick
clothesline to CON. CON hit the mat hard as well, as Sabotage once again covers
Black Dragon... The ref began to come to as, he crawled slowly over to where
the pin was taking place...
HERB: 1...2...3! Sabotage wins this one and advances during the first match
of the tournament!
WINNER OF THE MATCH: Sabotage
Sabotage rises to his feet and has his hand raised by the ref. Walking out
of the ring with his music accompanying him, Sabotage leaves Black Dragon and
CON in the ring...
HERB: What a first match folks, and if this is any example as to how the rest
of the PPV is going to be, we're going to be in for a wild night...
CON and Black Dragon rise to their feet as Ayana and T-Rel help their fallen
leader down. CON and Black Dragon stare at each other as Black Dragon acts as
though he isn't too happy with CON's actions during his match...
HERB: Wait a second folks, something seems to be going on in the ring...
Black Dragon and CON exchanged a few pleasantries as Ayana and T-Rel back up
leaving CON and Black Dragon in the center of the ring arguing with one another.
Black Dragon lightly pushed CON, who in turn pushed back causing Black Dragon
to step back a few feet. Finally, Black Dragon had enough as he charges head
first at the much bigger CON. As soon as the lunge was made, Nightmist is seen
running to the ring, but it was already too late. Black Dragon and CON began
to hook it up swinging punches back and forth at one another. CON began to overpower
the smaller Black Dragon before Nightmist finally stepped in between them and
broke it up. Black Dragon was pulled off by Ayana and T-Rel as Nightmist held
CON in the corner. Waving CON off, Black Dragon exited the ring first with his
court, and was soon followed by Nightmist who was trying to calm the big man,
CON down...
HERB: This doesn't look good for Elimination Enterprises... There seems to
be some dissention in the ranks... Is this the beginning of the end for the
once powerful group of wrestlers? Are we on the verge of seeing a major break
up?
Herb was left with that thought as the ring was finally cleared of all wrestlers
and was being prepared for the next match...
HERB: So as of now, we have Sabotage advancing in the tournament. He's one
step further to gaining that World Title shot that is being so preciously coveted...
As Herb spoke, "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys filled the arena
air. Coming to the ring sporting the cloak that he had worn during the Alliance's
appearance on Primetime, C-Rock was ready for action. The crowd burst into a
rather loud pop for one of the members of the newly reborn Alliance. C-Rock
stepped into the ring and removed his cloak...
RING ANNOUNCER: Coming to the ring first, a member of the Iceman-led Alliance,
weighing in at 235 and standing an even 6'3", C-Rock!
HERB: C-Rock and the Alliance are really beginning to become fan favorites
once again here in the AWA. Following the "Iceman"'s return on Primetime,
the buzz has already started circulating that tension is building between the
Alliance, the Elimination Enterprises, and the newly formed group led by Shadow
and Erik Dragon, the Judgement Day, Inc. Its becoming a rather tenseful situation
as all three groups are beginning to get in each other's faces...
C-Rock's music cut off, as "Burning Hell" by REM filled the loudspeakers.
The fans cheer for the entrance of the man known as Danny Bryson...
RING ANNOUNCER: Now entering the ring, standing at 6'10" and weighing
275 pounds, Danny Bryson!
HERB: This is the second of the four first round matches, as the winner of
this match must go on to face Sabotage in second round... Either way, both the
competitors have a tough road ahead, as Sabotage is really starting to come
into his own here in the AWA...
Danny Bryson stepped from under the Ameri-tron. Coming to the ring with his
faded jeans and flame emblazened shirt, Danny was all serious as the fans welcomed
his arrival in the arena. Danny rolled into the ring and went right after C-Rock.
Swinging his patented rights and lefts, Danny Bryson sent C-Rock flailing...
The ref called for the bell and signaled the start of this, the second of the
first round matches... *DING,DING*
KING OF THE CAGE, ROUND 1: C-Rock Vs. Danny Bryson
HERB: Just like what happened in his match with Azz, Danny Bryson is coming
out hard and fast against C-Rock. Those left and rights are really stunning
C-Rock...
Danny Bryson sent C-Rock into the turnbuckle with his left and rights. He follows
this up with knees to the midsection of C-Rock while C-Rock was unable to move
from the turnbuckle. Danny Bryson had C-Rock caught in the corner, and was not
letting him get out...
HERB: C-Rock has got to get out of there and quick, because he can't take much
more of this...
Grabbing C-Rock in a T-Bone Suplex, Danny Bryson sends the man with the blonde
afro over his head and hard into the mat. C-Rock landed hard as Danny got up
in a hurry. Taunting to the fans first, Danny got a positive reaction before
heading to the top rope. With C-Rock still on the ground, Danny jumped from
the top rope and attempted a double knee smash. Telegraphing the move, C-Rock
moved out of the way well before Danny hit, causing Danny's knees to land on
the mat. Danny stood up and leaned over grabbing his knees in pain, as C-Rock
slowly made his way to his feet...
HERB: Nobody was home for that double knee smash!
C-Rock came to his feet and attempted to gain the advantage over Danny Bryson,
but soo found himself in trouble once again. Following an irish whip, C-Rock
tries for a big Somoan Drop, but as soon as he got Danny Bryson into the air,
Danny Bryson grabbed hold of C-Rock's head, driving the blonde fro straight
into the canvas. The fans go crazy as Danny Bryson stands up and signals to
them...
HERB: After that move by Danny Bryson, C-Rock has yet to move from his spot
in the center of the ring...
Danny Bryson stepped over to where C-Rock layed, and begins to choke the life
out of C-Rock. The fans cheers just grew louder and louder with Danny's every
move...
HERB: Danny Bryson has really been welcomed by this sold-out Michigan crowd.
After the victory he got over Azz and now the way this match is going, Danny
Bryson is really making a name for himself here in the AWA...
Living on the cheers of the crowd, Danny once again went on the offensive.
Using his massive structure, Danny Bryson performed a falling powerbomb on the
dazed C-Rock. Locking in the leg, Danny Bryson fell to his knees and twisted
at C-Rock's ankle. C-Rock whithered in pain as he tried to make his way to the
ropes...
HERB: Throughout this match Danny Bryson has dominated it, keeping C-Rock on
the ground. This is the best strategy for the big man...
Eventually, C-Rock made his way to the ropes as the ref in return caused Danny
Bryson to break the hold. Danny stepped back as C-Rock pulled his way up by
the ropes... C-Rock stumbled toward Danny, who was waiting with open arms for
the unknowing C-Rock...
HERB: This is not going to be good folks.. Definitely not going to be good...
Turning C-Rock around, Danny Bryson set him up for his Gravedigger... Planting
C-Rock hard into the mat, Danny went straight for the turnbuckle sitting himself
on the top-rope...
HERB: Here we go.. I think Danny is sitting C-Roc up for his move...
C-Rock rose to his feet and shaking off the cobwebs first, he didn't see Danny
standing on the top-rope. Jumping off backwards with all of his weight, Danny
performed the reverse DDT with perfect perfection...
HERB: There it is... There it is! The Hellsgate just took care of C-Rock...
Hooking the leg, Danny covered the unmoving C-Rock... The ref made the 3 count
and raised Danny's hand in victory.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: Danny Bryson
HERB: The second man to move on to the second round of the King of the Cage,
your winner, Danny Bryson!
C-Rock rolled out of the ring and headed back towards the locker room area.
As "Burning Hell" once again echoes through the arena, Danny Bryson
celebrates in the ring, as the ring announcer steps forward in order to announce
the next participants in the King of the Cage tournament... HERB: It looks like
the announcer is ready to make the announcement for the next match...
Danny Bryson exits the ring and coming in his place is the ring announcer...
RING ANNOUNCER: Coming to the ring first weighing in at 226 pounds, he is currently
your TV Champion, Lars Frederickson! The fans erupt, but after a long period
of waiting, there was no sign of Lars. The ring announcer looks at the ref who
then looks right back at the ring announcer. Neither one knew quite what to
do...
RING ANNOUNCER: The AWA is proud to introduce Lars Frederickson!
Once again the fans erupt into cheers, but there is no sign of Lars. After
a short time, everyone became rather antsy as Lars didn't show his presence...
Finally, Herb stepped into the ring with a mic...
HERB: What's going on?
The ring announcer and the referee shrugged their shoulders as... As a sped
up punk version of I Am A Real American blasts through the Palace
of Auburn Hills. The camera cuts to the back where it is fixed on the entrance
way, when a loud engine roar, followed by a honk of a horn is heard of to the
side. The camera pans over to the area the noise is heard from, and through
the back a pair of headlights are seen, and slowly they get closer to the camera.
Once the bright light from the arena shines on the car, we see that its
a black Dodge Charger, driven by The Larster, with The Mouth Of The South-West
Hefe Hart in shotgun. The car pulls up to the ring as close as possible, and
the two men get out. The Larster begins to walk up the ring steps, then pauses,
and begins strumming his TV Belt like a guitar. He enters the ring, and makes
his way to the center, closely followed by Hefe Hart. As Harts back is
turned to the camera, we see that his cheap looking red and yellow leather coat
has The REAL American Hero cheesily screen painted on it, with an
equally as cheesy looking picture of Duke from GI Joe under that. The Larster
takes a stand in the middle of the ring, and throws one hand to his ear, then
continues to do this, playing the crowd at all four sides of the building. The
Larster then attempts to rip off his Lars-A-Mania shirt, but it
doesnt seem to rip at all, he then starts using his teeth, which eventually
works. He rips the shirt all the way off, and acts like nothing just happened.
He starts playing his belt like a guitar again, and starts getting really into
it like hes Eddie Van Halen. Herb Summer, mic in hand, finally gets him
to and his music to stop.
HERB: Well, La-
The Larster quickly takes the mic from Herb, and stands in front of him, so
the camera is taking in as much of him as humanly possible.
THE LARSTER: Ya know somethin Mean Gene...Its great to be back
in the great state of Mississippi!(The MICHIGAN crowd boos wildly) And
more than that, its great to be back in the ring.
HEFE HART(yelling into the megaphone, which is held up to the mic): YOU TELL
EM BABE-AY!
THE LARSTER: Now I know that The Larster has retired, time and time again,
but this time, I assure all of my loyal Lars-A-Maniacs out there, that this
time, Im here to stay. I wont let my illustrious Hollywood career,
or my major greed for the money that Im not getting paid to be here to
stop me from being in front of my fans! In fact, right now Im even missing
my sons hockey game, and Ive missed to many of those as it is!
HEFE HART: ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS BABE-AY!
THE LARSTER: In fact, and this is a promise, The Larster will not quit until
he stops getting paid thousands of dollars for every appearance, or until I
make it to the top, and claim the AWA Heavyweight Belt! And once I get that
belt, I will remain the champion for a long time, because we all know that know
amount of money will EVER make The Larster lay down to some cheap spoiled brat
rookie!
HEFE HART: NO PINS ALLOWED BABE-AY! YEAH!
THE LARSTER: And tonight, in this very ring, in front of all of my adoring
Lars-A-Maniacs in the audience tonight, I will start my conquest for the gold
by winning this King Of The Cage tournament! So to all the participants in it,
WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THE LARSTER, and his Dodge Charger, RUN WILD ON YOU!?
HEFE HART: HIT ME BABE-AY ONE MORE TIME! YEAH!
The Larster hands the mic back to Herb, who hastily exits the ring. The Larster
begins posing for the crowd, as "Back in the Saddle" by Aerosmith
begins to play, and Snakebite makes his way to ringside.
HERB: Now that was interesting enough... Lars Frederickson is now the Larster?
RING ANNOUNCER: Standing at 5'8" and weighing in at 220 pounds, is one
half of the World Tag Team Champions, Snakebite!
Before Snakebite could enter the ring, the Larster takes a running springboard
off the ropes and connects on the unsuspecting Snakebite. Immediately standing
up after the move, the Larster plays for the crowd as Snakebite is still stunned
by the last move...
HERB: The referee calls for the belt, as the third match of the first round
is underway...
KING OF THE CAGE, FIRST ROUND: Lars Frederickson (The Larster) Vs. Snakebite
*DING, DING*... On the outside Hefe Hart is yelling into the megaphone as the
Larster rolls Snakebite into the ring. Snakebite tries to shake off the first
attack by the Larster, but couldn't before Lars rolled into the ring as well.
Larster used this few moments of the advantage to pick up Snakebite in a Suplex,
but then delivering him stomach first on the top-rope. Snakebite quickly grabbed
his stomach, finding himself hung out to dry on the top rope unable to move.
Larster lifts his hand up to his ear as the fans cheer for "Real American
Hero."
HERB: The Larster is truly going at this match all out at the beginning. He
is taking it to Snakebite, as Snakebite hasn't even gotten a move off yet...
Climbing to the top-rope, the Larster delivers a double axe handle to the back
of Snakebite, driving him onto the steel cable once again. Snakebite bounces
up and down on the top rope, still unmoving from it...
HERB: If Snakebite doesn't come off that rope fast, the Larster is really going
to begin to cause some damage...
The Larster stands back for a moment, and working on momentum, runs towards
Snakebite. This time proving to be a mistake, Snakebite quickly leans back flipping
the Larster out of the ring with a back body drop to the outside. The Larster
hit the cement hard as Snakebite pushes himself away from the top-rope..
HERB: What a move by Snakebite!
Hefe Hart goes over to the Larster and helps the "Real American Hero"
up to his feet. On the inside, Snakebite climbs to the top-rope. Throwing everything
into the match, Snakebite jumped from the top-rope into the Larster and Hefe
Hart on the outside. All three men hit the floor hard with much impact impact.
Snakebite climbed back into the ring slowly and signaled to the fans who erupted
in cheers. On the outside, Hefe Hart held his head in pain as the Larster helps
him up. Hefe Hart grabs his megaphone and begins to taunt Snakebite on the inside,
almost daring him to try that again. Giving the fans what they wanted, Snakebite
went to the top-rope one more time and jumped off in reckless abandon. The Larster
was ready this time and delivered a drop kick to the midsection of Snakebite.
Both men once again hit the concrete on the outside hard...
HERB: Snakebite tried that move one too many times... The Larster saw that
one coming the entire way...
Hefe Hart put his microphone next to the ear of Snakebite and began yelling
"Who's the American Hero, Bay-BE!"... Snakebite finally knocked the
megaphone out of Hefe's hands who went after it... The Larster and Snakebite
fight on the outside with rights and lefts. The ref begins to count the two
men out, but before he even got to 5, Snakebite elbowed the Larster and then
rolled him into the ring...
HERB: Hefe Hart seems to be disoriented without that megaphone in his hand...
Snakebite took advantage with a quick snap suplex, followed by Snakebite picking
up the Larster backwards. Grabbing onto his midsection, Snakebite set the Larster
up for a German Suplex, and delivered on the first one. He hangs on and picks
up the Larster for a second time, and like first, he still doesn't release.
As Snakebite is in the motion for the third German Suplex, Hefe Hart delivers
a massive shot with Larster's TV title to the back of Snakebite. Snakebite released
the hold and fell to the ground holding his back. The ref looked at Hefe and
then at Snakebite, but due to the fact that he couldn't see what happened, there
was nothing he could do.
HERB: It looks like Hefe once again gets in a chair shot without the ref seeing
it...
The Larster immediately goes to the top rope and after shaking off a few cobwebs,
performs the Seven Year's Down. Hefe Hart jumps up to the ring apron and celebrates
as the Larster hooks the leg for the pin. The ref makes the three count as Hefe
and the Larster celebrate to the sped up punked out, "Real American Hero".
Strumming his TV title like the air guitar it is, the Larster and Hefe exit
the ring victorious in the first round of the King of the Cage....
WINNER OF THE MATCH: The Larster
HERB: Three matches down, one more to go in this, the first round of the King
of the Cage. The Larster really took advantage of the situation and came out
on top once again. You got to ask yourself, how does he do this?
FRANK: I have no idea, but we're going to take you to the back, where more
EE heat is brewing..
(The shot cuts to the EE lockerroom, where every member is arguing! SOC is
on one side of the room, and Jack Happy and Black Dragon are on the other. The
door opens, and LSO enters, battered and bruised.)
CON-I've had enough of YOU'RE (points to Black Dragon) crap! You're the new
guy, but you've got the biggest attitude!
BD-Quiet, you honorless dog. You destroyed my chance of winning the King of
the Cage...
Nightmist-Look, i've had enough of this, Happy's to blame here!
Happy-What!?
CD-Nightmist has a point. Black Dragon is the root of this problem, and YOU,
Jack, brought him in...
(A brawl breaks out when Happy hears enough. The camera fades out with Jack
Happy at Crimson Dream's throat)
FRANK: Wow, we could be seeing the dissolve of Elimination Enterprises!
"Victory" by Puff Daddy cues up. John Blaze enters the ring area
through the walkway, as the ring announcer prepares his opening...
RING ANNOUNCER: Coming to the ring fist, weighing in at 284 pounds and standing
at 6'4", he is the former Hardcore Champion, Johnny Blaze!
HERB: Johnny Blaze is still looking as though he's hurting from his match against
Shadow on Primetime. He's limping to the ring...
John Blaze entered the ring and quickly grabs his back in pain. He leans forward
and then shakes it off as "Victory" cuts off. In its place, "American
Badass" is heard as Rick Wagner appears in his "Apocalypse Now"
T-shirt...
RING ANNOUNCER: Now making his appearance, Rick Wagner!
There is a moderately loud cheer as Rick Wagner enters the ringside area. He
slides into the ring, and the ref quickly frisks both men to ensure there was
no illegal weapons in the ring. Following that, the ref calls for the bell...
*DING, DING*
KING OF THE CAGE, FIRST ROUND: Rick Wagner Vs. John Blaze
HERB: The last of the King of the Cage first rounders, this one pits Johnny
Blaze of the Alliance versus No gimmicks Rick Wagner. An interesting match-up
that promises to offer the best of both men...
Out of nowhere, Rick Wagner exploded on Johnny Blaze, catching Blaze with a
quick Spinebuster and the a few kicks for good measure. Johnny Blaze immediately
grabbed his back as it was obvious he was still hurt...
HERB: I don't think that Blaze should of stepped into that ring with Rick Wagner...
He's not a hundred percent, and right now, Rick Wagner is not afraid to abuse
this...
Raising Johnny Blaze to his feet, Rick Wagner measures him up and delivers
a knife edge chop to Blaze. Blaze is sent reeling as Wagner continues the offensive.
Pointing to the fans for a moment, Rick Wagner takes down Blaze with a quick
flatliner, causing Blaze's body to once again bounce off the mat. Blaze grabs
his back once again, as Rick Wagner was fully utilizing his advantage. Following
the flatliner up, Rick Wagner hits Johnny Blaze with a superkick. Blaze's head
snaps back in a whiplash fashion as the fans stand stunned as Blaze doesn't
move from the mat...
HERB: With the match that Blaze had to fight on Primetime, and now this, the
Alliance's warrior isn't looking to good out there right now. Blaze hasn't been
able to even mount a defense none-the-less an offensive...
Rick Wagner just kicks the unmoving Blaze and sighs as he realizes the lack
of competition that Johnny Blaze was truly offering him. Setting Blaze up in
the turnbuckle, Rick Wagner decided it was time for this match to be over...
Taking out Blaze with the Apocalypse, Rick Wagner took out Blaze in a violent
fashion. Blaze's lower neck and upper back snap off the mat in a terrifying
fashion, as Wagner stands up and just stares at Blaze. Wagner doesn't even bother
with the hooking of Blaze's leg, as he just covers Blaze with one arm. The ref
makes the 3 count, as "American Badass" is once again cued...
WINNER OF THE MATCH: Rick Wagner
HERB: The last winner of the first round, Rick Wagner. Blaze didn't even have
a chance as Rick Wagner truly took him out without as much as a fight from Blaze...
Johnny Blaze slowly rose to his feet as he didn't have much life in him. The
ref attempts to help John Blaze out of the ring, but Blaze shrugged off the
ref as though he was an unwanted pest. Sulking back to the backstage area, Johnny
Blaze couldn't do anything but limp from the pain his back and neck were now
in...
HERB: The second round matches are now up, as for the first match, we have
Sabotage versus Danny Bryson and in the second match, we have the Larster with
Hefe Hart versus Rick Wagner... In a suprise turn of events, Elimination Enterprises
and the Alliance have already been knocked out of this tournament due to the
immediate departures of C-Rock, Johnny Blaze, and Black Dragon. So far it has
been a good looking event for the AWA... Now we get down to the nitty gritty
of it, as there are only two more matches on the way to the finals...
The camera cuts to a shot of the cage high over head. Its menacing form is
like a methodical structure that signified what these matches were being fought
for. Finally, "Burning Hell" by REM rings through the sold-out arena.
Danny Bryson slowly stalked his way to the ring for a second time, as the fans
respond well for him....
HERB: The first round saw Danny Bryson defeating C-Rock in a match that could
probably be called a major upset. C-Rock fought hard, but Danny Bryson just
proved to be way too much for the Alliance's man...
Danny Bryson stepped into the ring and stared down towards the entrance way.
His music slowly cut off and "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys fills
its place. The fans come to their feet in cheers as Sabotage entered into the
ring area. Walking to the ring with the commanding force he had, Sabotage stepped
up to the apron before Danny Bryson began jarring back and forth with Sabotage.
The ref backed up Danny Bryson as Sabotage entered into the ring...
HERB: This promises to be a good match-up as two of the newest wrestlers of
the AWA are facing each other in the ring for the rights to go onto the next
round...
As soon as Sabotage is set in the corner, the ref calls for the bell to begin
the match... *DING, DING*... The two men square off circling one another, neither
making the first move...
KING OF THE CAGE, SECOND ROUND: Sabotage Vs. Danny Bryson
HERB: Slow and methodic, the way these two wrestlers like it...
Finally getting each other situated, Sabotage and Danny Bryson lock up in a
test of strength. Using his weight to his advantage, Sabotage quickly leans
forward with his hands causing Danny to fall to his knees in pain. Eventually,
Danny uses a headbutt to the head of Sabotage in order to break the test of
strength. Danny quickly rubs his wrists as Sabotage does the same to his head...
HERB: Its hard to say who will come out on top in this one, both men are great
wrestlers who have great careers ahead of them. Its going to go down to the
line in this one...
After taking a quick break, Sabotage and Danny Bryson quickly lock up in a
hammer lock. Danny uses an elbow to the midsection of Sabotage to cause Sabotage
to keel over in pain. Danny then uses Sabotage's positioning to apply a modified
Abdominal Stretch. Cranking back on Sabotage's neck and back the ref checked
Sabotage to see if he wished to give. Sabotage stood back shaking his head "no"...
Until finally Danny gets frustrated and breaks the hold. Following it up with
a running knee lift, Sabotage is sent sprawling to the mat once more as Danny
kicks the now fallen Sabotage in the gut...
HERB: Using his suprising quickness, Danny has really taken it to Sabotage
in the early goings of this match!
Danny covers Sabotage as Danny gets the two count before he is overpowered
by Sabotage. Using his leg strength, Sabotage kicks out with so much force that
Danny is thrown across the ring...
HERB: Two! Only a two!
Danny gets up and shakes himself off as Sabotage staggers towards him... Danny
delivers a quick punch to the face before he tries for a brainbuster. Sabotage
blocks it with his leg, but Danny once again tries for to lift Sabotage once
again into the air. This time instead of blocking it, Danny lifts Sabotage up
into the brainbuster positioning, but was stunned when Sabotage slid down and
performed a backslide on him... The ref counted to 1, but Danny Bryson kicked
out...
HERB: A good reversal by Sabotage, but he only got the one count...
Both men are on their feet, but Sabotage is ready first. Going into Danny Bryson,
with his fists flying, Sabotage quickly had Danny Bryson on the defensive. Covering
up, Danny tried to stop the blows from coming, but Sabotage was unrelentless...
HERB: Sabotage is really giving it all against Danny Bryson...
As soon as Danny Bryson was in the corner, instead of punches, Sabotage began
to deliver boots to Danny Bryson. Eventually, the boots knock Danny Bryson down
off his feet and caused him to be hanging for dear life on the bottom rope.
Sabotage fell to his knees and began choking Danny Bryson. The ref gave Sabotage
a warning count of 3, before Sabotage broke the hold and stepped back from Danny
Bryson... Sabotage stepped forward and pulled Danny Bryson up by the hair, and
dropped Danny Bryson on his head with a piledriver... Sabotage covered Danny,
but once again only got a 1 count, before Danny Bryson staggered out...
HERB: Danny really needs to get something going here, or else Sabotage is going
to dominate this match even more...
Sabotage ran in with a clothesline against Danny Bryson, but Danny ducked it
and performed a quick drop toe hold against Sabotage, sending Sabotage facefirst
into the bottom turnbuckle. Sabotage grabbed his head as blood began to trickle
down his forehead...
HERB: That drop toe hold bloodied Sabotage against that bottom turnbuckle.
That might be the momentum shifter Danny Bryson needs...
With the blood still flowing down his forehead, Sabotage found himself slammed
down against the mat with a powerful two handed chokeslam. Danny Bryson covers
Sabotage for another 2 count. Sabotage kicked out as Danny Bryson stepped back
in shock...
HERB: I think Danny believes he should have had it with that one...
As Danny stood up, Sabotage was ready for him. Grabbing Danny, Sabotage planted
him with a double-arm DDT... Danny Bryson's head bounced off the mat hard. Sabotage
stood up and signaled to the fans, as he measured Danny Bryson up. As soon as
Danny Bryson got to his feet, Sabotage picked him up and dropped him down with
a Somoan Drop. Sabotage made the cover, but the ref only once again got a two
count. Sabotage got up arguing with the count a bit...
HERB: It looks like this match is really taking its toll on the patience of
both Sabotage and Danny Bryson...
Unbeknownst to Sabotage, Danny Bryson stood behind him and quickly set Sabotage
up for the patented inverted pump-handle slam. Sabotage bounced hard off the
mat as Danny stood up quickly. Going to the top-rope, Danny attempted his top-rope
diving reverse DDT on Sabotage who instead reversed the move into a back drop.
Danny's back hit and his body collapsed on itself like a spring against the
ring. Sabotage and Danny were both on the mat from their lack of energy, as
the ref began to count the two men out. When the ref got to 4, Sabotage and
Danny was on their feet...
HERB: No matter what happens, these men are once again on their feet going
at it...
Danny threw some rights at Sabotage who was backed into the corner. Danny continued
to throw punches at Sabotage while the big man continued to take them. Danny
delivered two elbows before Sabotage moved out of the way of a third.
HERB: This match is going back and forth, back and forth...
Sabotage delivers a massive forearm to the chin of Danny. Danny flew back into
the turnbuckle and Sabotage saw his opportunity. Setting him up, Sabotage throws
Danny back-first into the mat with his Saboteur. The fans erupt as Danny smashes
into the ring hard. Sabotage quickly covers Danny, as the ref finally reaches
the 3 count.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: Sabotage
HERB: And that's all she wrote for Danny Bryson folks! Sabotage has finally
secured his spot in the finals of the King of the Cage. What a match folks!
What a match!
As Sabotage and Danny Bryson exited the ring, "American Badass" rang
through the arena. For the second time, Rick Wagner, the man of no gimmicks, walked
to the ring with a fairly good reaction from the fans. He steps into the ring,
as his music is abruptly cut off. From the walkway, the one and only Larster appears
with his punked up version of "I'm a Real American. Pointing to the ring
at Rick Wagner while followed by Hefe Hart, the Larster slowly and methodically
stepped into the ring to the delight of the fans.
HERB: No matter where he goes, and what he does, for some reason, the fans
always enjoy the show this man puts on...
The Larster signals to the fans with his classic hand behind the ear taunt,
but before he could even get to the second corner, Rick Wagner had enough. Making
a snide comment under his breath, Rick Wagner ran at the Larster who was still
playing for his fans. Hefe Hart and the Larster found themselves both the victims
of a football tackled by Rick Wagner. As Hefe Hart rolled out of the ring, the
ref called for the bell, and signaled for the match to begin...
HERB: That really cut short ol' Lars' opening in the ring... I don't think
either him or Hefe saw that one coming...
Tugging at his shirt, Lars finally pulled it off before Rick Wagner went on
the offensive again. Once again running at Rick Wagner, this time the Larster
expected it and caught Rick Wagner with a toe kick and then a spinning heel
kick. Rick Wagner was sent reeling as the Larster then used his ripped shirt
as a weapon. Stuffing it in Rick Wagner's mouth, the Larster used the shirt
as a gag...
HERB: That can't be pleasant! The Larster is literally choking the life out
of Rick Wagner with that shirt...
The ref finally tried to make the Larster break up the gagging with the shirt,
but as soon as he grabbed the Larster to make him break it up, the Larster swung
his arm back at the ref, causing the ref to fall back into the corner. The ref
just glared at the Larster before finally the Larster released the hold...
HERB: This is a new side of the Larster we haven't seen before... He seems
a little bit more demented, a little more evil, a little bit more angry!
As soon as Rick Wagner had the ability to get up, the Larster was suprised
at his aggressiveness. After the taste of sweaty shirt was out of Wagner's mouth,
he shocked the Larster with a quick t-bone suplex. The Larster landed hard on
his back and quickly grabbed his lower back as he climbed to his hands and knees.
Running over to Larster, Rick Wagner delivered a running swift kick to the Larster's
chin while the Larster was on his knees. The Larster fell backwards into the
ropes, as Rick Wagner added pressure to the back of the Larster's head with
his leg, choking the Larster against the bottom rope... The ref began to call
for the warning count, and got to 4 before Wagner broke the count...
HERB: If Wagner doesn't watch that count, he's going to find himself disqualified...
Wagner whipped the Larster into the ropes, and as he did, Hefe Hart stepped
up to the ring apron. The ref cut off Hefe Hart as he attempted to enter into
the ring, but inside the ring itself, Wagner performed a throw down spinebuster.
Once again, the Larster held his back in a bit of pain as Wagner covered the
Larster. The ref was still preoccupied with Hefe Hart, which angered Wagner
as he tried to get the ref's attention. The ref finally put his attention back
in the ring, and counted to two before the Larster kicked out. This gave Hefe
Hart the chance to enter the ring with the chair, and he held it back above
his head before Wagner turned around and saw what was going on. Hefe dropped
the chair and backed up a bit trying to have Wagner not to hurt him, but Wagner
was hell-bent on delivering a knock out blow to Hefe... With the chair on the
ground, the Larster came up from behind Wagner and with a fluid motion, turned
him around and DDTed him onto the chair. The Larster picked up the chair from
under Wagner and went to hit Wagner with it...
HERB: That's going to be a disqualification if the Larster hits Wagner with
that chair!
In mid swing, the ref stopped Wagner and threatened the DQ... Wagner just pushed
the ref out of the way and went back to swinging the chair, but the Larster
got a low blow in before Wagner could force the chair onto the Larster's back.
The ref was becoming frustrated as the Larster and Wagner begin to fight over
the chair with Hefe pulling on the Larster's waist. Wagner finally just let's
go of the chair and watches in humor as the Larster and Hefe fly back into the
turnbuckle chair in hand. The chair clonks the Larster over the head as the
ref begins to call for the bell... In mid-motion, the ref stops and decides
to let the match continue...
HERB: It looked as though the ref was about to throw the match out the window,
but has decided to let the fight continue in the ring...
As Lars slowly stood up, Rick Wagner charged into the corner, full head of
steam. As a reflex reaction, Larster lifted the chair blocking Rick Wagner's
attack. The chair connected against Rick Wagner's head, as the Larster watches
as Rick Wagner fell to the ground, opened now from the wound. The Larster looks
at the chair for a moment and then once again swings as though he was going
to hit Rick Wagner. The ref began to signal for the bell once again, as the
chair shot DQ, but Rick Wagner got up abruptly and hit the Larster with an overhead
belly to belly suplex. The ref decided to let the match go on, as finally, he
kicks the chair out of the ring. Rick Wagner begins to dominate the Larster,
as he keeps the faster man grounded, making him unable to perform any of his
high risk manuevers...
HERB: After losing control for a moment, it looks as though the ref has got
this match back to where it should be...
On the outside Hefe Hart grabbed a table under the ring, and slid it in to
the Larster. Rick Wagner attempted a suplex, but had it reversed by the Larster...
Performing a suplex of his own, the Larster dropped them to the mat. Using the
time that Wagner was on the ground, the Larster picked up the table, as the
ref tried to push it out of the ring. Before the ref could get it out, the Larster
went to the top-rope and jumped off in a huricannrana attempt against Rick Wagner.
Seeing it coming, Rick Wagner reversed the huricannrana into a huge powerbomb
through the table. Finally having enough, the ref disqualifies Rick Wagner and
awards the victory to the Larster...
HERB: I guess that means that the Larster advances to the next round...
WINNER OF THE MATCH: The Larster
As the Larster and Hefe Hart celebrate with one another, the ref raises the
hand of the Larster in victory. Rick Wagner saw this as "I'm a Real American"
plays in the background. Basically snapping on everyone, Rick Wagner goes all
out against the ref, the Larster and Hefe Hart. Performing a DDT on the ref,
and then a DDT on Lars, Rick Wagner lifts Hefe Hart to his feet to the delight
of the fans. Rick Wagner whipped Hefe Hart into the turnbuckled and performs
the Apocalypse on the much smaller man crashing him into the ropes. As "American
Badass" begins to fade out "I'm a Real American", Rick Wagner
kicks the Larster and the ref just for good measure...
HERB: This is a volatile situation folks, as it seems Rick Wagner has truly
snapped within that ring...
FRANK: Yes, but Wagner has STILL yet to be pinned in an AWA ring!
After a few more attacks on the three men, Rick Wagner exits the ring with
his music playing. A few moments later, the Larster and Hefe Hart exit the ring
with "American Badass" playing again in the background...
Frank-Oh my god! Wagner is a beast!
(Finally security restrains Wagner, who is escorted away, but halfway down
the ramp fights off security again! Just as Hefe and Lars were standing, Wagner
hit the ring and dropped them again. Johnny Cool and the rest of the security
force finally drug Wagner to the ground and pulled him out.)
(The Ameritron goes black and flickers once... flickers twice. The arena lights
then dim as some sort of video begins to play, proceeded by the standard black-and-white
countdown you so frequently see in old films. Confused anticipation is rampant
through the crowd; the fans do not know what is about to happen, but who cares?
They're having a great time no matter what! The countdown reaches 2, hits 1,
blips down to 0, and pauses. An older song by a band known as Real Life begins
to play: "Send Me An Angel" ... and then gray clouds begin to float
past on the Ameritron. As they are sung, the following lyrics fade on and off
the screen, one word at a time: 'Send me an angel... send me an angel... right
now...' The clouds in the upper-left portion of the screen part and display
and black-and-white action clip of a blurred figure flying from a cable holding
a cage over a wrestling ring, catching serious hang time, and then crashing
onto an unsuspecting opponent below.
The same lyrics repeat on the screen in the same fashion as before, and then
the bottom-right corner of the screen shows a short scene where the same blurred
figure puts someone through a stack of three tables with a sitdown Tombstone
piledriver of sorts. After this, until the finish of the song, more scenes of
action are shown, all including this blurred man... After a few moments, as
the song ends abruptly, the Ameritron is totally blacked out, only to display,
seconds after, a burning 'E' design, in which the main line of the letter also
serves as the handle of a battle axe. The lights return and the Ameritron begins
to display the PPV logo...)
FJ-....
HS-What the hell was that?
FJ-....
HS-I'm tired of crazy stuff on that big screen... anyway, let's have a little
US Title match...
Announcer-Introducing first.... weighing in at 256 pounds, he is a TWO-TIME
former AWA Heavyweight champion, and a former US Champion... "The Enforcer"
Weston Steel!!!!!!
(Steel gets a huge pop, as the theme from "Dukes of Hazzard" is cued.
The NRA hits the ring running, as the crowd is on it's feet! All four men scale
a turnbuckle, before they crack open some cans of Keystone and wait for Dragon.)
A-and his opponent...weighing in at 221 pounds, He is the AWA Unites States
Champion, Erik Draaaaaagonnnnnnnn!
("Princes of the Universe" by Queen is cued, and Erik Dragon comes
to ringside with Shadow by his side. Shadow is in streetclothes, carrying his
hardcore title, and Erik Dragon is wearing his US strap. Both JDI members get
huge amounts of heat! Dragon hands his belt to Shadow, and begins to climb in
the ring. Steel runs at him however, and Dragon slips back down and stalls.
The bell rings, but Dragon still waits to get in. He slides in the ring the
ring, but immediatly dives back out when Steel comes at him. He stalls even
more, until Irons chases him right into the ring, where he gets planted with
a spinebuster from Steel! Dragon clammors to his feet, only to catch a running
powerslam! Before Dragon can get up again, Steel hits a big leg drop, and makes
a cover. Steel only gets a two. Steel then repeatedly slams Dragon's face to
the mat, then connects with a pulling piledriver. Dragon is obviously out cold,
and Steel hooks his limp leg. However, Shadow reaches through the ropes and
pulls Dragon out of the ring! Steel is furious, and the NRA attacks Shadow!
Dragon is finally forced to re-enter the ring, where he avoids Steel with several
grapples. Finally, they go to lock up, but Steel kicks him hard in the gut,
then connects with a hanging brainbuster. Steel then scales the top turnbuckle,
but Shadow quickly pulls Dragon out of the ring again! Without a second thought,
Steel leaps off the top rope and takes both men down! The NRA joins in on it,
and the ref tries to break it up. In the confusion, Steel gets back in the ring
and watches the fight between Irons and Shadow, when Dragon grabs a chair, and
slides in the ring behind Steel. Steel turned around, and walked right into
a massive chair shot! However, the ref turned around in time to see it, and
called for the bell!)
A-Winner via DQ, Weston Steel!
HS-Dragon is a genius! Dragon retains!
(The crowd is booing madly, and Steel can't beleive it. Suddenly, "Hail
to the Chief" is cued, and Shane Solomon steps out on the stage, with a
microphone. He gets moderate heat.)
Solomon-Well Steel, you got screwed... before tonight, I just thought you were
another no talent redneck, trying to make it in this business.... But you showed
me something Steel. You want this gold, bad. So i've made up my mind, and this
match WILL be restarted!
(The crowd goes nuts, and the bell rings! Dragon is furious, and Steel is pissed.
The referee, tired of outside distractions, orders the NRA to the back! While
he is dealing with the, Steel pounds on Dragon. He lays dragon out with several
stiff punches, before retrieving the chair in the ring! Steel turns to go after
Dragon with it, but Shadow was waiting on the top turnbuckle and nailed a missile
dropkick on the chair to the face of Steel! Shadow quickly lays the chair on
the ground, and hits his finisher, the Tornado Piledriver with Steel on the
chair! Steel's forehead was busted open, and he was out cold. The ref finally
turned around, and Dragon crawled over and made a quick cover. The ref made
a slow count and got a 1....2.....Kickout! Steel kicked out barely, and immediatly
tried to get to his feet. Dragon connected with two stiff chops, then dropped
Steel with a Russian Leg Sweep. Dragon then connected with a knee drop to Steel's
forehead again, busting Steel open even worse. Blood was all over Steel's face,
and he was conscious. Dragon then hit a snapmare, and locked on a sleeper hold.
Steel began fighting out of the sleeper, and made it to his feet. Dragon quickly
kicked him in the junk Ric Flair style, which drove Steel back down to the mat.
Steel was out on the mat, and Dragon quickly made a springboard moonsault with
a pinfall! Steel kicked out after two, though. Dragon was getting fed up, and
he began distracting the ref. Shadow slid in the ring with the chair again,
but Steel saw him coming. Shadow ran at him with a chair, but caught a MASSIVE
Keystone kick to the face with the chair! Shadow went down hard, and barely
was able to roll out of the ring. Steel didn't see "Hot Shot" Ray
Owens slip out of the crowd and climb in the ring, and Owens caught Steel with
the Shot in the Dark tiltawhirl Backbreaker! Steel was hurting, as Owens put
the chair on his face, then went back outside the ring, springboarded off the
top rope and connected with a double stomp on the chair on his Steel's face!
Owens grabbed the chair and dove out of the ring as the ref turned around, and
Steel's face was COVERED in his own blood, and his nose was obviously broken.
Dragon quickly made another pin attempt.1.....2........kickout! Steel barely
got his shoulder up, and the crowd was rabid by this point. Every person in
the building was chanting "Wes-ton", and Dragon was at wits end. Dragon
finally stood up the injured Steel, and then went for the Electric Chair Drop.
Dragon got Steel seated up on his shoulder, but he couldn't hold the bigger
man. Dragon fell to his knees, but Steel landed on his feet. Steel quickly hooked
Dragon's arms behind him, and connected with a sort of reverse pedigree! Dragon
was KO'd as well, but Steel just couldn't make the cover. Both men laid in the
center of the ring, and the ref started the standing ten count. He got to 8,
when Steel amazingly threw his arm over Dragon! the ref counted two, but Dragon
kicked out of the weak pin. Both men stumbled to their feet, and began trading
punches. Steel's punches had more effect, until Dragon raked his eyes. Dragon
then went for a big chop, but Steel was playing possum, ducked it, then nailed
a Keystone Kick! Dragon was out, and Steel was about to cover when Owens climbed
on the ring apron again. Steel ran and keystone kicked him off, but before he
could turn around Erik Dragon rolled him up with a school boy from behind. However,
Steel used his momentum to roll over and come up on his feet, with Dragon in
a position for a suplex. Steel quickly nailed the SAMH DDT, and colapsed on
top of him for the three count!)
A-Your winner, and NEW AWA US Champion, Weston Steel!
(Post match, the NRA helped a battered Steel, covered in blood to the back.
Steel however, refused help, and showed off his US title to a humongous pop,
before making it to the back on his own accord.)
FJ-Wow! Steel is the first man in history to hold both the World and US Title,
twice!
HS-He's in bad shape though.. I'm certain that nose is broken.
FJ-I'm sure we'll get an update on his condition on Primetime, but right now
let's get back to the ring, where they're lowering the cage!
A-Ladies and Gentleman, are you ready for the finals of King of the Cage?!
The cell has been lowered, and we're ready to get it on! Introducing first...weighing
in at 226 pounds, the AWA Television champion, The Laaaaaaarsterrrrr!
(A punked up version of "I am a real american" is cued, and The Larster
comes to the ring, looking worn out. He climbs in the cage and strums his belt
like a guitar after dropping his cambodian cane, before handing it to the ref,
as well as the cane.)
A-Introducing second...weighing in at 315 Pounds, Sabotage!
("Sabotage" by Beastie Boys is cued, and Sabotage hits the ring to
huge heat. He climbs in the cage, and is immediatly attacked by the Larster!
Larster pounds on Sabotage, while the door is locked. The cage is a typical
Hell in a Cell, which takes up the entire ringside area. Their battle quickly
spills to the floor, where Lars slams Sabotage against the cage. Lars connects
with an Enziguiri, followed by a rake to the eyes. While Sabotage stumbles around,
Lars quickly scales partially up the cage. Sabotage looks up just in time to
catch a moonsault off the cage! The crowd goes wild, and Lars continues the
battery. Lars then whips Sabotage against the cage, then drags Sabotage's face
against the cage. Lars then scales the outside of the turnbuckle and tears off
his "Larster" shirt, assuming Sabotage is still hurt. With lars looking
away, Sabotage leapt to his feet, and quickly pulled Lars off, powerbombing
him to the floor! Sabotage then climbed to the apron. Lars stumbled to his feet,
only to catch a running somersault! both men went down in a heap, and the crowd
jumped to it's feet. Sabotage was up first, and he pulled Lars to his feet.
Sabotage then slammed Lars facefirst against the apron. Lars stumbled away,
then rolled in the ring. Sabotage followed, but Lars was up first and stomped
him when he rolled in. Lars then locked on a Camel Clutch, then climbed to the
top rope. Sabotage was on his feet quickly however, and powerslammed him to
the mat! Sabotage then hit a piledriver, leaving Lars out cold. Sabotage made
a cover, but only got a two. Sabotage then set him up for the saboteur. Sabotage
lifted the lifeless Lars up for a powerbomb, but Lars was playing possum, and
reversed in into a DDT to the floor! Both men lay hurt on the floor, but both
of them finally made it to their feet. After trading blows, Lars whipped Sabotage
against the door, breaking it open! Sabotage got up quickly, and began trading
blows with him outside the cage. Sabotage then grabbed Lars by both hands around
the neck, and tossed him hard against the cage. Lars bounced off, but then ran
around to the other side, where he grabbed his cambodian cane from the ring
announcer! Lars then put the cane between his teeth, and began scaling the cage!
Sabotage watched, almost amused. Sabotage then returned to the cage, only to
pull out...a table and a chair? Sabotage then hooked the table leg through one
arm, and the chair through the other.)
HS-What?! There's no way in HELL he's strong enough to pull a TABLE and a chair
up there!
(Amazingly, Sabotage slowly but surely made it to the top! before he could
pull his weapons above however, he took a wicked shot from the cane! Sabote
rocked back, but didn't fall. Another shot, and Sabotage still didn't fall!
Lars reared back to take another shot, but Sabotage threw the chair at him,
and knocked down Lars. With his last bit of energy Sabotage drug himself ontop
of the cage, and pull the table up with him. Both men lay still for over thirty
seconds, as the referee watched helplessly. Finally both men clamored to their
feet at the same time, Lars armed with his cane, and Sabotage armed with the
chair both finally made it to their feet, and they both swung their weapons.
The weapons colided three times, before Sabotage ducked a cane shot and laid
out Lars with a wicked chair shot. As Lars lays busted open, Sabotage set up
the table on top of the cage. The crowd is on it's feet as Sabotage goes for
a powerbomb through the table, but Lars sunset flips over the back and lands
on the cage, where he quickly grabs his cane. Sabotage turns around, just in
time to catch an off balance cane shot! The crowd goes nuts, and Lars gets to
his feet and whails on Sabotage, who stumbles around backwards and falters two
steps, before falling down face first through the table. Sabotage is out cold,
and Lars begins to celebrate, when suddenly Rick Wagner comes running from the
back, dragging security. Without Lars noticing, Rick Wagner begins scaling the
cage, and climbs on top. Wagner retrieves the chair behind Lars, and Lars turns
around in time to walk right into a chair shot! Wagner drops the chair, then
hits a hanging brainbuster, leaving Lars in the air for a long time. It connects
with the cage, and the ceiling breaks! It begins creaking, then snaps as both
men fall through. Lars hits in the center of the ring below, hard. Wagner, however,
rolled off the broken part of the cage and landed a little softer. Wagner immediatly
rolled out of the ring, and made his way out of the cage. By this time Sabotage
was up, and looking down on the prone Larster. Without any though at all, Sabotage
looked to the ceiling, then leapt off from the top and hit a big elbow drop
on Larster! The crowd was amazed, as Sabotage rolled over painfully and made
the cover!)
A-Your winner, and 2000 King of the Cage, Sabotage!
HS-Wow, he hasn't even been here a month and he's already earned a World Title
Shot in the next PPV!
FJ-That's right, and he'll face the winner of the next match. The cage has
been raised, and both Sabotage and Lars were helped to the back, so let's get
to the main event!
A-Ladies and Gentleman, this match is scheduled for one fall, and is for the
AWA World Heavyweight Title! Introducing first, the challenged....he represents
the Sandmen of Carnage...weighing in at-
(Suddenly, Happy and CD spill out from the back already fighting! They make
it to the ring and both roll in. From there on it's just a brawl, with neither
man getting the best of it. The ring announcer sighs, and simply announces the
third competitor. Theoren is introduced simply as Blackheart?)
(Desert Rain by Iced Earth starts up, but the music is cut almost
immediately and after a short pause, a new song, Dantes Inferno
by Iced Earth starts to play. All the lights go out, except for a series of
red spotlights that form a path to the ring. The music plays for a short time
when suddenly the stage bursts into flames, and out from the fire walks a figure,
his features concealed behind a thin black robe and a skull mask. The robe is
open in front and around his waist is the AWA World Heavyweight Title. He slowly
strides toward the ring, trailed by Kayla wearing a black dress and a funeral
veil. The figure climbs up onto the ring apron and slingshots into the ring.
With another blast of pyrotechnics the house lights come back on and the figure
rips the skull mask off, revealing Theoren Spencer wearing red face paint with
black designs and black circles around the eyes. He takes his robe off and tosses
it out of the ring before removing the World Title belt. He climbs onto the
turnbuckle and holds the title belt up for the crowd.)
FJ-What the hell happened to him?
HS-He's been pushed to the edge! The Blackheart is finally back!
(Blackheart throws down the title, and Happy, who got advantage of CD, took
a run at Spencer. Spencer ducked the clothesline, and Happy turned around and
walked right into Blackheart spitting fire into Happy's face! Happy was rolling
in pain, when Spencer slowly dropped to his knees and blatatly choked Happy!
The crowd was suprised, but loving it. Dream stood up slowly across the ring,
and Blackheart made a run at him and kicked him with a football style low blow!
Dream went down and rolled out of the ring, as Solomon warned him about the
low blow. Blackheart completly ignored Solomon, and continued choking Happy
until Dream slid back into the ring and dropkicked Blackheart in the back of
the head! The two EE members reconciled their differences for a moment and double-teamed
the champ, hitting a double suplex. Happy then held Blackheart down as Dream
climbed to the top rope and hit a splash! Dream went for a pinfall, but Happy
pulled him off! The two began to scuffle, and Dream took a wild swing at happy,
who ducked, and Dream nailed Solomon! Solomon went down, and suddenly all of
Elimination Enterprises hit the ring! LSO, Happy and Black Dragon where waiting
in one corner, staring down with the SOC. Blackheart simply watched from another
corner, recovering. All of EE started at each other slowly)
HS-This is it! The end of EE! The end of an era!
(Suddenly, every member ran at Blackheart! Blackheart was taken by suprise
and got pounded on!)
FJ-screw job! EE planned this all along!
(EE simply destroyed Blackheart, hitting nearly every finishing move imaginable!
A table was pulled in the ring, and CD hit his famous powerbomb through the
table on Blackheart! Solomon woke up, only to see the carnage in the ring. He
then tried to stop Dream, but Dream threw him down. Crimson Dream then called
for a mic.)
CD-Before I finish this once and for all, Elimination Enterprises would like
to thank the Academy... (big heat) Yes, we've outsmarted you, sorry. Contrary
to popular belief, EE is now MUCH stronger than it ever was. THIS is the future!
(EE then crowds in around CD. Happy happens to be in the back, when suddenly
the crowd pops hard. Standing in the center of the ring, battered, bloodied,
face paint smeared beyond all recognition, was Blackheart. Before anyone even
knew what was happening, Blackheart grabbed Happy around the waist and took
him down with a rolling prawn pin! Solomon was in position and counted the 1,2,3!!!)
A-Your winner, and STILL AWA World heavyweight Champion, The Blaaaaaaackheart!
(Post match, EE destroyed Blackheart and Solomon without mercy. The NRA had
already left the building to take Steel to the hospital, and Blackheart was
friendless. The show closed with Blackheart and Solomon laid out in the ring,
with the World Title by his head.)
