AWA Classic
(Fade in. The PPV opens in an office somewhere, showing a door. Behind the desk
is a high backed, chair, with someone obviously in it. However we can't see who.
Next Vinnie and Oz enter, and Tony Ragu follows.)
Ragu-Heeeey, boss. Everything's set up...
???-I know... we won't be needing you anymore, Tony...
Ragu-Wha?
(Vinnie and Oz grab him, and suddenly double chokeslam him to the concrete!)
(The shot opens in the back, with Theoren Spencer storming down the hallway.
He bangs on every door he passes, all of them being locked. He is frothing at
the mouth, and is obviously on a rampage. He finally gets to a door marked "Ayana
Sugah" and kicks it down. Black Dragon's valet is applying some makeup,
and looks up in confusion)
Ayana-You...You can't be in here! (She stands up off of her steel chair, and
backs away. In a flash, Spencer moves forward, grabs the chair, and slams it
into Ayana's gut. She doubles over and he drops the chair, then DDT's her on
it with a sickening thud! The shot fades to the announcer's table as Spencer
slinks away.)
Frank Jackson-Oh my god! Ladies and gentlemen I'm sorry we had to open the
show with footage like that!
Herb Summer-Jesus that guy is nuts...
FJ-wow... anyway, welcome ladies and gentlemen to the AWA Classic PPV!
HS-We have a lot of great action for you tonight, and last was the first ever
AWA Awards show!
FJ-Right now ladies and gentlemen, we take you to a few clips from last night's
huge awards show, where this year's awards were given out, and two wrestlers
were put into the hall of fame!
(The scene cuts to a hotel banquet hall, where all of the AWA roster is seated
around small tables, dressed in formal wear. The shot cuts to the podium, where
Commishioner Solomon is standing.)
Solomon-Thank you all for coming out. This is the AWA's first awards show ever,
and thanks to all of you, it won't be the last. Tomorrow we have a huge night
of wrestling, but tonight we honor those who excel in this business. First of
all, I'd like to announce Rookie of the Year. (Brief pop) Now, the AWA prides
themselves on their younger talent, and this award is going to one of the top
young wrestlers ever to grace a ring. Ladies and Gentlemen, your AWA Rookie
of the year for 2000.....(Opens Envelope) "Lower Eastside" Fredrickson!
Solomon-Winner, Tag Team of the year.... CON/Punisher
Solomon-winner of the Best Dressed Wrestler award... Mr. Jack Happy!
Solomon-Winner, for valet of the year..... Luscious Lori!
Solomon-Winner, finisher of the year.... Weston Steel's Keystone Kick!
Solomon-Winner, longest contract.... Lars Fredrickson! (At this point, out
of nowhere "The Chosen Gentleman" slips from the back and whallops
"Eastside" with the guitar!)
Prince-I'VE been on contract longer than any other AWA wrestler, so choke on
that, slap ass!
(Fredrickson is helped to the back, as the show continues.)
Solomon-Winner, Match of the year.... Weston Steel vs. Crimson Dream, the Iron
Man Match! (Large pop)
Solomon-Here's the big one.... Ladies and Gentlemen....... the AWA Wrestler
of the Year goes to........ Theoren Spencer!(Oddly, Spencer was not even there
to accept the award. The Awards show ended on a confused note with the no show
of the former World Champion)
(The scene cuts back to the announcer's table, where Frank and Herb are waiting
at the desk.)
FJ-As you can see ladies and gentlemen, the first awards show was a huge success,
and we'd like to congratulate all the winners. Wait a minute..(Listens to the
headset) We've got Theoren Spencer in the back again!
( Backstage Theoren is storming around, shoving people out of his way and randomly
destroying whatever he can get his hands on. A mysterious man wearing silver
and black pants appears from the darkness. over his torso there is an oversides
black and silver shirt that completely covers him and is covered by a small
piece of Oriental chest armor. His face is covered by an ornate black and silver
inlaid hood that slightly resembles a dragon. Over the hood a samuri style helmet
tops his head is walking down to corridor toward Theoren. Theoren intentionally
gets in his way, pushing him back with his shoulder. The stranger immediately
turns and shoves Theoren back. Theoren snarls and lunges at the man's throat
but the stranger easily side steps the attack. Theoren gets to his feet and
tries to attack again but the man grabs Theoren by his shirt and slams him against
the wall. He pins Theoren up against the wall, causing Theoren to glare at him
in undisguised hate.
Stranger: What is your problem Spencer? Why have you been destroying your own
career? What are you trying to prove?
Spencer only snarls and spits in his face.
The man ignores Theoren's defiance and continues.
Stranger: You used to be the World Champion, respected, feared, cheered by
the fans. And now look at you, you've sunk lower than you ever have before.
Even when you were Mr. Sinister you had a shred of honor but now, with your
vicious attack of a woman, you've proven that you no longer have any honor.
You spent all that time fighting EE and look what it's brought you to, you've
become the very thing you hated. Is that how you want to go out? Remembered
as a spiteful, hateful bully?
The more the man lists Theoren's faults the more Theoren fights to break free
but the man doesn't let Theoren go. He looks Theoren right in the eyes, while
Theoren can't seem to look at him eye to eye.
Stranger: You used to have it all and you threw it away. Just because you thought
it was too much to handle. You chose to bear the burden, you never asked anyone
for help but then you turn around and hate us for not rushing to your aid. But
you were too proud to ask anyone for help and that pride cost you. You used
to be somebody and it is sad to see what you've turned into. You often used
to speak of your legacy, well now your legacy is that of a star fallen from
grace, a bitter has been with nothing left. Is that truly what you wanted to
leave behind?
The man lets Theoren go and Theoren sinks to the floor, his eyes closed, shaking
his head as if he cannot believe what he has just heard. The man only shakes
his head sadly before walking off, leaving Theoren alone to face the harsh reality
of what he's done to himself. Theoren suddenly jumps to his feet and storms
off down the corridor. He reaches an exit and shoves the door open. He walks
out into the parking lot, fishing in his pocket for his car keys. He gets to
his car, unlocks the door, and is about to get in when he stops. He digs into
his pocket again and pulls out a coin. He tosses it to the cameraman.
Theoren: Here, call the commissioner. Tell him I'm going out for a while.
Theoren gets into his car and starts the engine. With a squeal of tires he
speeds off into the night. The cameraman looks down at the coin in his hand.
It is the same weathered, scarred coin that Theoren was so attached to.
FJ-Who WAS that masked man?
HS-I can't believe you just said that!
FJ-What, I-
HS-Yea yea yea, let's get to the first match.
Announcer-Ladies and gentlemen, this match is for the AWA Television Title...
introducing first... weighing in at 275 pounds.... Danny Bryson!
("Burning Hell" by REM is cued, and Danny Bryson comes to the ring,
oddly without Weston Steel. He gets quite a bit of heat from the crowd, and
slides in the ring, waiting. Oddly, there is no referee waiting, only the announcer)
A-And his opponent....weighing in at 229 and one half pounds..... He is the
AWA TV champion, and the AWA United States Champion, "Lower Eastside"
Fredrickson!
(A punked up cover of "Real American" is cued, and Fredrickson heads
to the ring, both belts in hand. He hands off the US Title, and then starts
strumming the TV, before looking for a ref to hand it to. Oddly, there still
isn't one. Bryson motions for a mic, and is handed one.)
Bryson-well well well... It seems we don't have a referee for our little showdown,
do we. Apparently AWA Referee Willy McDougal couldn't be here tonight... so
after a little bribing, errr, I mean coaxing, I've come up with a replacement.
Here he is folks.... "The Enforcer" Weston Steel!
(The crowd boos incessivly, as "The Enforcer" hits the ring running,
wearing a ref shirt. The bell rings, and before Lars can protest, Bryson clotheslines
him down! LE tries to beg off, but gets a kick to the head for his troubles!
The fight ensues to the outside, and a brawl erupts! The two begin trading blows,
and Steel breaks it up, before deliving a haymaker to Fredrickson! Several drinks
have been hurled at Steel by now, as all three men roll back into the ring.
Bryson hits a snap powerbomb into a squatting pin, and Steel makes a very fast
count, only getting to two. Bryson then tries to set up a fisherman suplex,
but Lars rolls him up into a small package! Steel suddenly becomes interested
in tying his shoes, and does so. Lars finally breaks the pin, and shoves Steel.
Steel is up in a flash, and the two men stand toe to toe, when suddenly Bryson
slips behind Lars, and Steel shoves him over Bryson, who rolls him up! Steel
makes a fast count, but Lars is out at the last second. Bryson, now frustrated,
slips out of the ring and returns with a steel chair. Steel immediatly turns
around and starts a conversation with the bell ringer, as Bryson wallops Lars
on the head! Lars takes another rough shot as he stands again, and Bryson quickly
pins him. Steel makes the count, but amazingly Lars kicks out again! Bryson
picks up the chair and stands, but Lars low blows him, grabs the chair and lays
him out! He raises the chair to hit the downed Bryson, but Steel grabs the chair
and tries to pull it away. Lars quickly lets go and Steel stumbles back against
the ropes with the chair in his hands, only to catch a dropkick to the chair
on his face! Steel tumbles over the ropes to the outside, and the chair lands
in the ring. Lars then hits his patented Cradle Piledriver onto the steel chair
with Bryson, and makes the cover. There is no ref however, and several seconds
pass until another ref comes out and makes the count. Amazingly Bryson kicks
out at 2 and a half! Lars quickly gives him the Larster Legdrop, and the goes
to the top for the 7 Years Down! Lars hits the splash, and the ref counts 1....2...
and is suddenly grabbed by a bloody Weston Steel! Steel quickly SAMH DDT's the
ref before he can finish the count! Lars makes a run at Steel, but Steel Keystone
Kicks him out of his boots, rolls Bryson on top, and counts a fast three for
the win!)
FJ-What a screwjob!
A-Your winner, and NEW American Wrestling Alliance TV Champion.... Danny Bryson!
(Steel and Bryson leave the ring together, battered and bruised, and Lars gets
up slowly and heads back.)
HS-man, that's the first time in my career i've felt sorry for The Larster....
oh well, I'm over it.
Frank Jackson: "Up next folks we have the nut case Rick Wagner versus
the original mad man himself the Crimson Dream. The Shadow is supposed to be
a part of this match too but no one has seen him in about a week or two."
"When the Smoke Clears" by the Ghost Face Killah begins to play and
Crimson Dream begins to make his way slowly to the ring. The crowd gives him
a largely mixed reaction he steps into the ring wearing his air brushed trench
coat.
Suddenly "American Badass" blasts over the P.A. and Rick Wagner charges
to the ring and begins to lock up with Crimson Dream.
Herb Summers: "That nuts Wagner is ripping into Dream. He isn't even waiting
for Shadow to come out. I think Wagner just might prove to be the sicker of
these two men tonight."
The roll of barb wire hangs ominously above the ring as the two men are embroiled
in a huge brawl. Wagner and Dream spill over onto the outside and Wagner whips
Dream into the guard rail. Wagner runs at Dream but he side steps and Wagner
crushes his own stomach into the guard rail. Dream begins pounding on Wagner
and both men fall over the rail and into the ground. The two cut a huge path
as the Wagner is for once having to back away from an opponent.
The two men soon end up in the back. Wagner just gains control and whips Dream
into a brick wall. Dream slams his back into the wall and Wagner sandwiches
him with a HUGE splash. Wagner then grabs a near-by ladder and as he turns around
Dream runs over Wagner bowling him over. Dream grabs the ladder and begins to
make his way back to the ring. Dream starts to make his way down the entrance
way. Wagner rushes from behind and drives Dreams face down into the steel of
the ladder with a vicious bulldog.
Frank Jackson: "Both of these men can take a tremendous amount of punishment.
I can only imagine the horrors these men are willing to inflict on each other."
Wagner then grabs the ladder and makes a run for the ring. Wagner slides the
ladder into the ring and follows it in. He begins setting up the ladder as Dream
starts to get back up and make a run for the ring. Just as Wagner finishes the
ladder set up Dream hits him with a spear to the small of the back. Wagner's
face bashes into the ladder and he falls to the mat. Dream begins scaling the
ladder but Wagner is quick to his feet and he powerbombs Dream off the ladder.
Wagner climbs the ladder and is about to grab the barb wire bundle as "Back
in the Saddle" by Aerosmith blasts and the LSO charges to the ring."
Frank Jackson: "Here comes the troops."
Hangman and Snakebite push over the ladder and begin mauling Wagner. They hit
him the with Texas Pinebox Special on Wagner, just as Dream puts the ladder
back up and quickly makes his way up to the top.
Herb Summers: "This doesn't look good for Wagner, Dream is wrapping himself
in that barb wire."
The LSO pulls Wagner directly under the ladder and Dream jumps from the top
landing a big body splash. The ref makes the count. And Dream is the winner.
Frank Jackson: "I don't know if it weren't for the LSO Wagner might have
won that match."
The LSO helps Dream out of the ring just before the camera cuts to the back.
Jack Happy and Shadow are seen staring at a monitor, they are both drinking
Happy Aid and laughing at the fallen Rick Wagner.
FJ-It appears Shadow and Happy have finally made their peace.
HS-Damn right. But that's the only peace we'll see tonight, Frank! Because
next up we've got the boiler room brawl!
Camera shifts to the inside of boiler room in the bowels of the arena. The Raver
steps into view looking around from side to side trying to find Nightmist. The
Raver stands looking confused in the center of the room just a burst of steam
comes off a pipe and scalds his face. The Raver rolls around on the ground screaming
in pain. Nightmist charges into view with broom in hand. He begins to lay into
the back of Raver. Raver's foot lashes out behind him and catches Nightmist in
the groin. Nightmist doubles over and the Raver turns around just in time for
Nightmist to have regained his composer and crack Raver across the nose and face.
Blood begins to trickle from Raver's nose and Nightmist takes to search for more
plunder. Raver gets to his and attacks Nightmist from behind and drives him head
first into a large pipe hanging down. Nightmist lays face down and the Raver begins
to lay into him with boots to the small of his back. Raver then drops a knee on
Nightmist and then applies a camel clutch. Nightmist writhes in agony and then
the Raver drops his face to the ground. Raver leaves Nightmist on the ground and
begins to make his way to the door. Nightmist gets to his feet and grabs Raver
by the hair and takes him down with a modified bulldog. Nightmist keeps a hold
of the Raver's hair and uses it to mercilessly pound his face on the ground. Nightmist
pulls the Raver, whose face looks like a bit of ground hamburger, and whips him
away from the door. Raver slams into a wall causing a small pile of steel pipes
to clatter to the ground. Nightmist follows him in and is met with a pipe to the
stomach that Raver had managed to grab onto. Nightmist doubles over in pain and
the Raver turns to crack the pipe over his back. Nightmist falls to his knees
and looks up just to be cracked across his nose and face with the pipe. Completely
crumbles and the Raver beats him across the back with his pipe. Raver looks around
trying to find something else to pound on his fallen opponent with. As Raver is
searching around Nightmist gets to his feet and locks the Raver into a sleeper.
From the sleeper Nightmist lifts the Raver and drops him down with a sleeper slam.
Nightmist makes his way for the door and opens it up. The Raver tries his best
to stop Nightmist but he slams into him from behind sending them BOTH spilling
out the door, with Raver somehow landing on bottom. Raver is declared the winner!
However, as soon as Raver stands, The Walrus and Sabotage attack him from behind!
They beat on him without mercy, before leaving as they came.
FJ-That was brutal!
HS-Sabotage obviously has something against the raver...
FJ-(Looks at Herb) Golly, you think so?
HS-Shut up.. let's just go to the next match. This next match... oh no.
FJ-What?
HS-It's the Tag Titles match...
FJ-yeesh... well, we're about to see Scott Hefe wrestle... i'm a little worried.
Let's take you to ringside.
("Blood and Whiskey" by The Dropkick Murphy's hits the PA as "Lower
Eastside" Fredrickson and "The Chosen One" George Prince accompany
Scott Hefe to the ring. Scott has his hair slicked back with A LOT of grease,
and a toothpick in his mouth. He's wearing a black T-shirt that has the sleeves
ripped off of it, and ripped from the bottom up to the sleeve on both sides.
And to top all of this off Scott Hefe is wearing a pair of black and red speedo
tights. The trio enter the ring, and "Lower Eastside" quickly demands
a mic.)
"LE": Now I know everyone's been going around for the past few weeks
assuming that "The Chosen One" over here is going to aid my associate
Scott Hefe in winning the Tag Team Straps tonight. However, you people are all
wrong, he in fact is NOT the other member of "The Insiders". After
making $2.35 working the streets with my gay monkey I stopped at an "Altered
Realities" garage sale, and sure enough I saw just who I thought would
make a PERFECT partner for Scott here. The odd thing was the man who sold this
tag partner to me was none other that the legend Rick Flair himself! But I tell
you that man has really lost it lately, not only was he talking to two lawn
flamingo's and yelling at little kids when they asked him for his autograph,
but he sold me this fine specimen of a tag team partner for only TWO BUCKS!
There's definitely something wrong with him. But now, without further adue....I'd
like to introduce to you ONE HALF OF THE NEXT AWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!
(Scott Hefe throws both hands in the direction of the entranceway, but then
focuses them to the rafters instead. The lights suddenly go black, and the audiences
flashes on their cameras mysteriously go off. The lights then go back on to
reveal...Sting? hanging above the ring from a cable wire. He looks stuck where
he is, and starts to mumble loudly and incoherently. The people running the
cable fix the problem and lower "Sting" to the ring mat where "Lower
Eastside" and company aid "Sting" in getting out of the harness.
"LE" then grabs the mic again.)
LE: Here he is, directly from a great career in another federation...the man...the
myth...the legend...the chair swinging retard...."Big Dummy" Jimmie!!
("Sting" removes his mask and black trenchcoat to reveal a rather
obese man in his late 30's wearing none other than a blue and white sailor suit,
and looking VERY excited to be where he is. Jimmie quickly goes over to all
three of the men in the ring and gives them all a VERY large hug, and then starts
jumping up and down joyously clapping his hands together.)
FJ-Sweet jesus, we hired the Chair Swinging retard....
("Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio is cued, and the Anarchists hit the
ring running. They open up on Jimmie and Hefe, dropping them quickly)
A-and their opponents.... the Lone Star Outlaws!!!
FJ-what a suprise!
(Hangman and Snakebite hit the ring, and a brawl is on! LSO clears the ring
quickly, and poses to the fans delight. The ref is never able to get control,
and during the 6 man brawl, Rick Wagner comes to ringside with a blowtorch!
He sets up a table and lights it on fire, before rolling in the ring and attacking
Snakebite! He drags Snakebite to the apron, where he hits his hanging brainbuster
from it, through the flaming table! EMT's begin to help Snakebite, as Hangman
attacks Wagner. Wagner low blows Hangman however, then hits him with the blow
torch. Then, to everyone's dismay, he lights Hangman on fire! Hangman's tights
begin to burn, and EMT's finally put him out as Wagner slinks to the back. Meanwhile,
Jimmie amazingly mounted a comeback. While the ref was distracted with the flaming
Hangman, Lars slipped Jimmie a chair, who KO'd Assassin and pinned him! The
ref turned around, made the count, and that was it!)
A-Your winners, and NEW Tag Team Champions, Jimmie the chair swinging retard,
and Scott Hefe!
Lars(Grabs a mic)Wait just a minute here, DUDES... The oWn is severly depleted
on belts, and Lower Eastside demands a tag title shot, now!
Referee-But Eastside, you have no parter....
Lars-Oh, i've got a partner, brutha. (Drops the mic and tears off oWn shirt
to reveal... a Larster Shirt! the bell rings, and Lars attacks Hefe and Jimmie!
They begin to double team him, and Hefe gets a two count with a DDT. Jimmie
waits anxiously in the corner, as Hefe pounds on Lars. However Lars equalizes
it with a poke to the eyes, and he crawls inch by inch to his corner! Finally,
Lars tags him self, and the Larster hits the ring, full of energy! He chases
Hefe to his corner, where he tags Jimmie. Jimmie takes a wild swing, and Lars
ducks it, uses a crucifix and gets the three count!)
A-Your winners... and NEW AWA Tag Team Champions... The Larster and Lower Eastside
Fredrickson!
HS-That's the weirdest thing I've ever seen....
Frank Jackson: "We have a great match coming up for you all next. This
is going to be really intense and it is for the Feather weight title. The Hit
Man Ray Owens and The Black Dragon are going to come together in what the Black
Dragon describes as the hell of matches, an Iron Man Match. Lets go to the ring
for this battle of the Feather Weight titans."
Herb Summers: "Oh Feather Weight titans. Come on be real Frank everyone
knows that Ray Owens is going to kick the Black Dragon's tail all over the arena."
The camera focuses in on the entrance ramp as "So Damn Cool" By Ugly
Kid Joe begins to blast over the P.A. System. The "Hit Man" Ray Owens
comes out to a HUGE heel heat. While walking to the ring it is clear he hasn't
slept well recently. Yet he walks with an eerie calm to the ring, and he steps
into the ring. He stands with his hair disheveled looking focused at the entrance
way. He paces back and forth in the ring like a caged tiger.
Suddenly "Agnus Dei" By William Byrd begins to play softly and the
Black Dragon steps into view. He is followed closely by Ayana Sugah. The crowd
erupts with a big pop, as the Dragon walks slowly to the ring with his Feather
Weight title strapped around his waist. Black Dragon steps into the ring and
looks Owens in the face. Ayana Sugah steps inside the ring as well and unbuckles
the belt from around Black Dragon's waist. She hands the belt to the ref and
he holds it high over his head."
The ref hands the belt back to Ayana Sugah, who is now on the outside of the
ring. The bell sounds and Owens rushes the Black Dragon. Dragon drops Owens
down to the mat with a drop toe hold which he quickly turns into a STF submission.
Owens realizes that it is better to just tap out rather than risk the long term
damage of an extended submission. Black Dragon takes the first fall in 0:10.
Frank Jackson: "Oh my god. I can't believe it if Black Dragon keeps this
up he will take this match easily."
Herb Summers: "Come on Ray! You can do it!"
Owens gets to his feet and shakes out the cobwebs. The two then lock up and
Owens takes the power advantage and muscles the Black Dragon into the corner.
Owens chops away at the Black Dragon's chest, and the Black Dragon cringes with
each strike of Owens's hand. Owens then pulls the Black Dragon out of the corner
and puts him down with a quick snapmere takeover. Owens locks on a reverse chin
lock and cranks back on the Black Dragon's neck. The crowd begins a chant: "Boring!
Boring". Owens drops down from the rear chin lock into an arm bar. Black
Dragon writhes in pain but refuses to tap out as Ayana Sugah on the outside
pounds the mat.
Frank Jackson: "My god I don't think in his entire AWA career the Black
Dragon has ever submitted. Owens has had the arm bar locked in for well over
five minutes now. If the Black Dragon doesn't swallow his pride he will feel
the effects of that hold for the rest of the match."
Owens changes the arm bar into a hammer lock and continues to apply the pressure.
Herb Summers: "Go Ray go. This is great he is adding all his weight to
that hold."
Black Dragon finally can't take anymore and taps out on the mat. Owens gets
the second fall making it one to one in 10:58.
Black Dragon gets to his feet and he is clutching his now injured left arm at
his side. Owens runs into him and hits a HUGE drop kick right into the Black
Dragon's arm. Dragon crumbles and Owens covers. Owens two Black Dragon one in
11:30.
Both men get to their feet and circle each other warily. Black Dragon still
holds his arm and his side and Owens has gained a air of absolute confidence.
Owens comes in but the Black Dragon keeps him at a distance with a kick to the
mid-section. Owens sees his opportunity when the Black Dragon drops his guard
for one second and Owens spears him to the mat. Owens begins pounding relentlessly
on Black Dragon's skull. Owens then pulls Dragon to his feet and starts to whip
him into the corner by his injured arm but he doesn't let go wrenching Black
Dragon's arm. Ayana Sugah paces the ringside area looking very worried. Owens
then whips him hard into the corner and follows him in with a big splash. Black
Dragon falls to his face and Owens begins laying in the boots to Black Dragon's
lower back. Owens stands over Dragon's left arm and grabs it just to fall backward
flipping Dragon on his back and applying a cross arm breaker. Black Dragon's
legs thrash wildly and he desperately tries to squirm out of the hold. Owens
cackles in sadistic glee and Black Dragon is once again forced to submit. Owens
three Black Dragon one in 20:00.
Frank Jackson: "I can't believe it, the Black Dragon has tapped out twice
in one match. Also the Dragon is now down three to one."
Herb Summers: "Believe it Frank, the Black Dragon is going down. He can't
come back he will never be able to use that arm again."
Owens gets to his feet quickly yet it takes the Black Dragon a long moment to
even get to his knees. Owens runs in for a football kick but the Black Dragon
rolls out of the way while lashing out his leg for a sweep. Owens hits the mat
but pops right up just as the Black Dragon does as well. Owens charges in but
the Dragon locks in another drop toe hold that slams Owens face first into the
bottom turnbuckle. Owens tries to get to his feet but the Black Dragon hits
him with a flurry of stiff kicks to the back. The kicks come so fast and furious
Owens has to roll out of the ring for a breath. Black Dragon bounces off the
ropes and flies toward Owens with an incredible suicide dive that brings the
crowd to its feet. Owens crashes into the guard rail and the Black Dragon seems
to land wrong on his injured arm. Owens gets to his feet slowly but so does
the Dragon. Black Dragon hits Owens with a stiff kick to the stomach driving
him back into the steel once again. Black Dragon grabs a handful of Owens's
hair and rolls him back into the ring. Owens gets to his feet and is met by
a super kick, Black Dragon mounts the top rope. Owens stands up just to be met
by a flying huricanrana. Black Dragon grabs one of Owens's legs and cradles
him for the pin. Black Dragon two Owens three in 35:25.
Owens pops up and runs in at Black Dragon, Dragon side steps and kicks Owens
in the small of the back. Owens drops to his knees and Black Dragon begins to
lay into Owens with hard kicks to his back and stomach, finishing up with a
HUGE kick to the face. Owens falls to the mat holding his nose and rolling around
on the mat. Black Dragon quickly hops up to the top turnbuckle and flies through
the air again with a huge moonsault The crowds erupts as the Black Dragon tries
to go for the pin but Owens kicks out and pops right back up. Black Dragon keeps
Owens at a distance with a series of quick kicks that don't land but are close
enough to keep Owens away. Owens decides to go to the top and he comes off with
a double axe handle only to be met with a defensive drop kick from the Black
Dragon. Owens rolls on the mat and the Black Dragon seems to have started to
work the kinks out of his injured arm. The two lock up again and Owens takes
the Dragon down with a leg trip. Dragon pops up and they tie up again. This
time Dragon takes Owens down with several knees to the gut, followed by a Rocker
Dropper. Black Dragon pins but Owens kicks out.
Frank Jackson: "These two warriors are entering the final ten minutes of
this contest, both of them look really tired, but neither one is willing to
give up. This is possibly one of the most epic struggles the AWA has ever seen."
The two tiredly circle each other each looking for an opening. Owens runs in
and wraps up Black Dragon in a small package. Owens four Black Dragon two in
50:59
Black Dragon then holds on to the small package and rolls Owens over onto his
shoulders, for the pin. Black Dragon three Owens four in 51:02.
Both men pop up and Black Dragon jumps over Owens but grabs him to hit him with
a Sunset Flip Black Dragon gets the pin. Black Dragon four Owens Four in 51:22.
Owens then claps his legs around Black Dragon's head and pushes up to pin the
Dragon using Dragon's legs for leverage. Owens five Black Dragon four in 51:27
The crowd raises to its feet and begins screaming wildly as Owens gets up and
rolls the Black Dragon into a School Boy pin. Owens six Black Dragon four in
51:49.
Black Dragon quickly then locks Owens into a Maistrol cradle for the pin. Black
Dragon five Owens six in 52:00
The both pop up and the whole crowd is ROARING its approval of the great series
of quick pins. Black Dragon grabs Owens's arm and whips him into the corner
and follows him in with a back hand spring elbow. Owens falls to the mat and
Black Dragon leaps over him and springboards off the ropes with a HUGE leg drop
on the back of Owens's neck. Black Dragon pulls Owens to his feet and drives
his head into the mat with a perfect tornado ddt. Owens tries to get to his
feet but is met with a seated drop kick to his face smashing his nose in again.
Owens's face is now a bloody mess and the Black Dragon pulls him to his feet
and puts him back down with a spinning neck breaker.
Frank Jackson: "Black Dragon is really taking over but he only has one
minute and he is down by one fall. He is really going to have to step it up
real quick to come out on top."
(Dragon quickly scales the turnbuckle, and goes for a hurricanranna. However
Ray reverses it into a powerbomb, and then locks Dragon into the Texas Cloverleaf!
Dragon looks nearly done, when out of nowhere a man runs from the back and begins
yelling at the ref. The ref, in shock, nods, and rings the bell. The man slides
in the ring, and a microphone picks up him saying "You're wasting my time,
Ray. Let's go")
A-(Confused) Uhh... ladies and gentlemen.... the winner, by disqualification,
and STILL AWA Featherweight Champion... Black Dragon! (Huge heat towards the
man who ran out, and Black Dragon is visibly angry... Hit Man quickly leaves
with the other man, and they head to the back.)
FJ-What the HELL was that?
HS-oh man... i'm lost. Let's just go on...
Frank Now ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for.
The dulcet tones of Weird Al are heard from the PA and Mr Happy Emerges through
the curtain to the roars of the audience. The crowd is making so much noise
it very nearly drowns out the Commentators.
Frank Happy, my god, he's back and the fans know it. The most colorful member
of the Enterprise is back and looking to raise hell here tonight.
Herb Speaking of EE, I'd have thought they'd be out here.
The camera cuts quickly backstage. Here, a forklift truck is parked in the
middle of the corridor. As the camera pans around, you can tell that it is parked
up against the EE dressing room door. The members inside are trying desperately
to open the door, but to no avail.
Frank Well, I suppose that explains what happened to EE, the question now is,
who's responsible.....
Before anyone can answer the question, The Beastie Boys hit the airwaves and
Sabotage get's to the ring.
Frank Here we go people, Happy and Sabotage are pacing the ring, getting to
grips with each other. Two of the most hardcore athletes every to grace the
ring are about to go one on one for the biggest prize in the industry today.
Happy's out of the corner he starts early with a running clothesline.
Sabotage goes down.
Herb Whoever parked the truck obviously wanted to see a clean fight. They didn't
want EE interfering for their golden boy. They should be commended for their
services to the business. Hell, call out the people from the awards..........
Frank Damn it, the awards are over. Sabotage is back on his feet now and trading
blows with Happy. He's kicked the Japester in the gut.
Herb Let's face it, he could hardly miss!!!
Frank Happy has keeled over and Sabotage is taking advantage. He's clubbing
down the back of Happy's head. Sabotage is focussed. He won the title last month
at Shootout and he's determined to keep hold of it here.
Herb Yeah, he couldn't have gone up against bigger opposition........Bigger........see.....like
Happy........
Frank For god sakes Herb, just call the action. Spare the people at home the
torture of your "Wit". Sabotage is stamping all over the body of Happy
now, trying to wear his opponent down.
Herb Call the action....call the action. How can I call the action when you're
hogging the mic.
Frank Fine, you take over.....
Frank, to emphasise the point, takes off his head set and pours himself a coffee
from the flask in his lap.
Herb Finally, I get to headline the commentary. Happy has rolled out of the
ring now and is catching his breath on the floor. I think Sabotage is about
to come after him........He's going out through the ropes.........aaaaah, Happy's
punched him in the Love Berries..............He's picking him up........that's
a manoeuvre, that's definitely a manoeuvre.........What's it called again?
Frank I rest my case. Happy has just powerslammed Sabotage out on the concrete
and....the referee has stated to count. An AWA referee is in the ring actually
counting. Someone get me a camera, this is an historic moment.
Herb I think you're gonna need one of those panoramic ones with wide zoom,
just so you can fit all of Happy in....
Frank Have you got any more fat jokes.......Are you linked to the fat Joke
archive or something....watch the match. Happy has picked up Sabotage once again.
He's sent him over the guard rail. He goes back to the ring to break the count.
Herb He's going back out......woooohoooo, Happy is climbing the guard rail.
This could be Sabo pancake right here.
Frank Big Splash. Big splash from Happy into the audience and onto Sabotage.
That's gonna knock the wind right out of you.
Herb I think it's gonna knock out the Eastern Seaboard. That move there measured
seven on the Richter Scale.
Frank Alright, enough of the cheesy Fat jokes. Wille, get your ass over here.
As the camera man focuses on Happy landing piston punches to the temple of
Sabotage, Willie the sound guy can be seen making his way to the announce table.
Herb Hey, Willie......tzyrzzzzzzzzzz...
Frank Okay people, now we've dealt with that problem, let's get back to this
kickass main Event. Happy is relentlessly pummelling away at Sabotage. He wants
the World Title. It's something he's been working towards for the past year.
It would be even more significant if he won tonight though, it would be a special
thank you to his stablemate Punisher, who sacrificed his own title shot so Happy
could get to the Classic. Sabotage looking to get Happy off from him.....whoa
Someone in the audience takes exception to Happy's tactics and kicks him in
the head. As he is carried off by security, Happy rolls off.
Frank Sabotage getting an unexpected helping hand from an audience member.
He pulls himself to his feet now and drags Happy back over the guard rail. He
manages to get to the apron and break the count on nine. Sabotage doesn't want
to win this match the cheap way.
Happy struggles to his feet and Sabotage rams his head into the post, sending
him sprawling onto the concrete.
Frank Sabotage taking the initiative out side the ring now. I must remind anyone
who joined us late, this is not a Hardcore match. Two of the federations greatest
every hardcore fighters are battling outside the ring, but this is not Hardcore.
These guys can get counted out and disqualified in this matchup.....
Herb tzyrzzzzzzzzz Yeah, and that would be an anticlimax
Frank I must appologise, my colleague seems to have found a way back on air.
And Sabotage has found his way to the ring steps. He's grabbed the steel steps,
I can only think he intends to hit Happy.
Sabotage crosses the floor and swings the steps, but Happy manages to move
at the last moment, causing Sabotage to crash into the railings instead. As
he tries to recover, Happy kicks his head into the ringsteps.
Herb Happy's brained Sabotage....
Frank Happy has driven Sabotages head into the steel ring steps. He rolls the
champion into the ring now.
Herb Finally, we're gonna get back into the legal zone for this match. Why
haven't these guys been Dq'd already?
Frank Would you really like the main event at the Classic to end in Disqualification............I
didn't think so. Happy slides the steps onto the apron and climbs back into
the ring.
Herb Why would he put the steps up onto the apron if he didn't intend to use
them. He's gonna get himself disqualified.
Frank I don't think Happy is that stupid. If he gets disqualified, he can't
win the title. Happy moving towards the fallen Sabotage who seems to be stirring.
Sabotage sweeps away Happy's legs as he comes near, sending him face first
into the canvass.
Frank Sabotage looking to drive himself back into this matchup. He's taking
advantage of Happy on the floor once again. He's stamping on his head. Sabotage
pulls the challenger to his feet and plants him back with a DDT. He's looking
for the first cover of the match 1...2....Happy kicks out.
Herb It looked like it could have been over there and then.
Frank Happy is struggling to recover. Sabotage landed him right on the back
of his skull. Oh, wait a minute. I don't like the look of this. Sabotage seems
pretty pissed off that he couldn't end the match. He's pulling in the ring steps
from the apron.
Sabotage hefts the Steps and swings for Happy. He get's his bearings wrong,
however and levels the Ref instead
Frank MY GOD......Sabotage has just split the referee down the middle.
Herb It's a sign of the times. A match between two hardcore icons and the referee
is the first to get busted open. I tell you, Sabotage is not having much luck
with those steps tonight.
Frank No he's not, but now there's no referee to control this thing. I've got
a feeling that hell is about to break loose.
Happy get's up and slams Sabotage down onto the ringsteps, landing a huge leg
drop on his neck, which wrenches against the steel.
Herb I've never seen someone hyperextend their neck before in this business.....
Frank For God's sake, this is serious. Happy is making his way to the outside
now. He's going over to the time keeper. He's got the bell. Happy has got the
ring bell. Happy is going for Sabotage with the ring bell.
Happy takes the bell into the ring and attempts to slam it down on the torso
of Sabotage. The champion moves at the last moment, however and Happy suceeds
in hitting only the ringsteps.
Frank You can see the impact jarring up the arm of Happy, I think he may have
broken his wrist. Meantime Sabotage is coming our way.....
Sabotage rips out Herb's monitor and throws it into the ring
Herb I'm blind, I can't see the match.
Frank Hell, you haven't been watching it anyway. Sabotage slithers back into
the ring and takes the monitor. Happy is turning Nailed. Sabotage has
nailed Happy with the monitor. He's wide open.
Herb Yipee, Happy is bleeding. Happy bled first. This means I win the office
sweepstake....
Frank The referee bled first. Are you even watching this thing?
Herb No, Sabotage stole my monitor. And anyway, the referee can't be in the
sweep........
Frank All that's academic. Sabotage is brutalising Happy with the monitor.
Jack Happy is barely moving. Sabotage is closing in for the kill.......
As Sabotage get's closer, Happy's hands swings up and rams something in the
Champions face. A cloud of yellow dust explodes.
Frank Happy was playing possum. He just hit Sabotage with a dustbomb. Sabotage
can't see.
Herb Yeah, he's stumbling around the ring like a Redneck on Linedancing night.
Frank Happy makes his way outside and is looking under the ring apron.
Herb Well, I guess he hasn't found anything. He's crossing over to the timekeeper.
He's got the bell hammer.
Frank Happy makes his way back into the ring with that bell hammer. Sabotage
is still blinded. He is holding onto the buckle, trying to steady his sight.
Happy has found the ring bell. He's waiting for Sabotage. He's waiting.....There
it is, right between the eyes.
Herb Second time lucky for Happy with the bell. Sabotage is laid out.
Frank This is, without a doubt, one of the most brutal main events I have ever
seen at an AWA PPV. Happy....what's he doing.
Happy balances the bell on the head of Sabotage and begins hitting it with
the hammer.
Frank We've said it before and I'll say it again. Happy is deranged.
Happy begins to stand up, but then sinks to his knees.
Herb What's happened to Happy. He was about to close the book on Sabotage....
Frank Happy has lost a hell of a lot of blood. I think it's getting to him.
He's gonna be feeling pretty groggy right now.
Herb Happy is trying to recover, but so is Sabotage. Sabotage is up onto his
knees.
Frank Happy is up on jelly legs. Both of these guys look like extras from ER.
Sabotage is up with the ring bell. Sabotage has the ring bell. He's about to
lower the boom.......
Herb Sabotage is gonna retain...
Frank No.....Happy's just superkicked the bell into Sabotages head. Sabotage
has gone down.
Herb Yeah, but so has Happy. That blood loss must be getting to him.
Frank Happy is down, Sabotage is down, the referee is down. There is all manner
of debris in the ring. What the hell is gonna happen next.
Slowly, Happy begins to shuffle on his stomach across the ring. He reaches
Sabotage and stops dead.
Frank Happy's done all the hard work. All he needs to do now is cover Sabotage
and the title's his...
Happy finally manages to throw his arm over Sabotage.
Frank He's got it. Happy is making the cover.
Herb Yeah, but what's the point, the referee is out.
Frank Happy has done enough, but there's no referee.
As if on Cue, "Hail to the Chief" cues on the PA and Soloman runs
to ringside in his stripey Referee's shirt.
Frank Here comes the commisioner. Soloman is the one guy with authority enough
to call this match. He's in the ring 1.....2......3 HE's DONE IT. Happy has
done it.
Herb No he hasn't. He used illegal weapons. He used illegal weapons. Happy
should be disqualified.
Frank Don't be an asshole. Sabotage was the guy who Smashed the referee, remember.
And all that followed, wouldn't have happened if the referee was concious. Sabotage
brought it on himself. There was nothing unfair about it. All that is irrelevant.
Happy has climbed to the pinnicle of our business. He is the heavyweight champion
here at the Classic.
Happy is up on his knees and Soloman hands him the belt. He lift's it high
over his head and the scene in the ring is one of choas. A bloody Jack Happy
celebrating, Sabotage and the referee unconcious in the ring surrounded by more
hardware than an NRA christmas party. Surprisingly, though, there is movement
in the curtain.
Frank Wait a minute. Someone is coming down. It's the Hitman
Herb Ray Owens has come to crash the party
Owens approaches behind Happy. Leaping up onto the ropes, he lands a springboard
dropkick into the back of Happy's head. The crowd roars with boos, when suddenly
the man hits the ring and has a staredown with Solomon. Solomon is white as
a sheet, and suddenly sprints to the back...
FJ-Wait a minute... THAT'S PRESIDENT GRAY!
(The Entire Family hits the ring and attacks Jack Happy, and the shot cuts
to the back, where it shows the EE lockerroom being locked up. CD is obviously
trying to break the door down. It cuts back to the ring, where a table has been
set up, and a ladder! Vinnie and Oz set up their double chokeslam, and Ray Owens
climbs to the top of the ladder and leaps off, driving Happy through the table
with the force of three! Gray then gets on the mic)
Gray-I told you I'd be back, and you didn't believe me. Well this time, I've
got a REAL army with me. Say hello... to the capo! hahaha!
(Suddenly, the EE lockerroom doors is kicked in, and CD, Nightmist, and CON
hit the ring running, without Black Dragon. There is a huge brawl, when suddenly
from the back comes Damien!? He has a bat, and he lays out all of EE! With EE
on the ground, the Family poses, with Gray on the ladder, pointing down at Owens
right below him. Owens has the title belt, Vinnie and Oz flank him, Raver is
up front, and Damien is off to the side, standing alone.)
Gray-Now that Ray is free of that idiotic Featherweight title picture, he can
concentrate on the real gold... MY gold!
(Fade out. (C) 2000)
