FAQ
1. What is the AWA?
The AWA is an internet fedding (e-fed) organization. We in no way have any affiliation with the WWE or branches of. We are run by several individuals, all of whom contribute to the AWA's continual existance. The AWA is basically a game, which individuals compete against each other to win.
2. How do you play this game?
Sign-up, if you're accepted we will tell you. Once you are accepted head on over to the boards, and roleplay. If you out rp your opponent you will win your match. Of course there are exceptions to this, such as strats and run ins, but all of these variables add to the game's fun.
3. Should I apply?
Sure, it can't hurt. If this is your first fed you may want to join a smaller fed first, get the hang of roleplaying and come back.
4. I applied but got no response?
How long has it been since you applied? We're busy people, we try to check the mailboxes as much as possible but we all have lives. Give us a day or two, if you don't hear anything from us leave a note for us on the boards.
5. What is a strat?
A strat (short for strategy) is something that you would typically send in to us before the strat deadline (discussed in 12). What you would include in these would typically be what you would want your wrestler to do in a match, how you would want to react to certain things - much like a strategy towards your goal. They are also used to put promotional videos, interviews, and attacks in the shows to give your character(s) more exposure than just their wrestling match. The form is found to the left.
6. Something is wrong with the site on my browser, nothing seems to be in place!?
Set your resolution to 1028 x 768 or lower the text size in IE.
7. What does Shock look like?
Shock has since been revamped and has a whole "new design". Here is a portion of the intro of the first Shock (10/29/06) with the redesign:
We see that the new AWA ring now has a white ring with a white ring apron with the new logo on it. The turnbuckles and poles are black and the ring ropes are blue. The new AWA Shock stage consists of the letters that spell out SHOCK to appear across the stage and change to uniform colors in different ways. Above "SHOCK" is the new, rectangular Ameritron which is as wide as SHOCK is. Next to that are two side trons that are slightly rounded that are showcasing the new Shock logo and the matches of the night fade in and out in order.
[Click here for a "rough sketch" of the design.]
8. Will you make me a site?
No, I'm sorry. I simply do not have the time to be sitting here and making websites.
9. Will you host my site?
Sorry, we can't...if we could we probably would though.
10. Something is wrong with my site, can you fix it?
Send me a link, I will take a look, if I can spot the problem I will tell you how to fix it.
11. I have a site and I wish to affiliate with you?
Send us a link, we will look at your site. We don't have any strict rules about accepting affiliates, but generally if your fed looks decent and carries it's own weight we'll affliliate with you.
12. What are the deadlines for the shows?
The deadline for our House Show events is Thursday at 6 PM Eastern. The deadline for AWA SHOCK generally is Saturday, 6:00 PM Eastern. On PPV weekends, Saturday, 6:00 PM Eastern is the PPV deadline. All RPs have to be in by that time. Strat deadlines for AWA SHOCK and PPV Events are Saturday, 3:00 PM Eastern and AWA EXPOSED and House Show Events are Thursday, 8:00 PM Eastern. Exposed is an all-strat, "magazine" show functioning like WWE Confidential, WWF Livewire, and WWF Superstars (of the late 90s).
